Mr. Handyman built a gazebo from a prefab kit. Chris George and Michael Willey assembled the structure according to plan. Their work was high quality and they were courteous and hard-working. The price was very reasonable and lower than other estimates. Michael even made a special trip to secure the gazebo ahead of a high wind alert, ahead of their last few hours of work scheduled in a few days. Thanks!

Chris George did an incredible job at our home. He was friendly, courteous, and incredibly professional on each of the three occasions he came to our home. Mr. Handyman is a great company that you can count on for quality service. We highly recommend them and plan on calling them in the future!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND - We had a shelf/clothing rack that fell out of the closet mount since it was not installed properly. We were recommended by a friend and I submitted an online request yesterday evening (Sunday) and only found Thursday/Friday appointments.
However, I got a call this morning and they were able to fit us in today. They not only fixed our shelf (and re-painted the wall so it looks finished) but we're also able to fix two other items!
The service was professional and friendly, the work looks perfect, and it was handled very quickly.
Mr. Handyman is going to be my new go-to! ☺️

This was the best service we’ve ever used! We needed a very large cherrywood office desk unit disassembled and then reassembled in order to have new carpeting installed. Aaron and Rick were absolutely fabulous! They knew exactly what they were doing and were extremely friendly, pleasant, accommodating, and professional! We had to coordinate the timing of the disassembly/carpet install/and disassembly and they made it so easy! They showed up on time, got right to work, and did it all with a smile! They took extreme care not to damage our floors or other property or dirty our new carpeting. We would highly recommend Mr. Handyman without hesitation to anyone who wants a job done right! We will be calling on them again for all future service needs.

When Michael came to install two ceiling fan/lights on vaulted ceilings he was prompt, polite and professional. When we tried to use the fans we found that both remotes were operating both fans so if we turned the light on in one room, it also came on in the other room.
We contacted the office and another appointment was scheduled to fix the problem. We received multiple emails and texts reminding us that the appointment was set for Wednesday between 2:00 and 4:00.
Wednesday is here but the technician isn't. My wife called the office at 4:20 and again at 4:50 leaving messages both times. It's now 5:35 and we still haven't heard anything. I'm sure glad that I lost half a day's wages waiting around for them.

Very pleased with going with this company, I’ve seen them do work in the neighborhood, had some work to the exterior trim on the house that rotted out & birds built a nest in there, Mike came out look at the project they called me told me what needed to be done and fixed it! Looks great !!!! Mike & the company was very pleasant to deal with & will definitely go with them with future projects!

I was very happy with how all my repairs were done today. Mike was very polite and professional and really knows his job. I will definitely be using Mr. handyman again.

They hooked up a gas appliance for us. They were prompt and attentive. After installation, I noticed a smell of gas. They returned the very next day to re-test the connections and fix the problems. We are very satisfied with their service.

Our Handyman Chris George was on time and wasted no time removing an under-cabinet microwave and installing a rangehood in it's place. It was all done in a timely manner and reasonably priced. Will ask for him again.

I needed to have my flooring repaired as there were racks in between the laminate. I thought I would need to have them replaced but the technician glued them in place so there weren’t any gaps.

I already have plans to use Mr Handyman again. They responded quickly to my request, arrived on time and did a great job. Best of all, they are affordable.

Had the front door frame repaired screen door installed and trimming around the door Chris done a great job with everything.

I did exterior shutter replacement.
The staff on the phone and the technician were both kind and professional. The technician cleaned up all the boxes of the materials as well. He also noticed the window caulking was deteriorated badly, so he fixed that on the spot quickly. Additional cost but he saved me from potential water leak!
It was worth the money!!
The only change I would like to see is that the office needs to communicate with the technician and tell the customer that if the technician is coming early. I was lucky that I was working from home on that day and had no meeting but my technician showed up 2hrs early. It might not have worked that well.

I was truly exhausted,the tech took care of the job while I did my day to day. Pick up the kids from school,drop them off to after school programs etc.I showed him what needed to be done and he came up with a solution.

Not very neighborly. They parked in front of the diesel pump for at least 15 minutes. These aren't the kind of people I'd let in my home.

We had a fence that needed to be repaired. They did a fantastic job. They communicated with us every step of the way. The job was completed in a short manner of time and the was of excellent quality. We would definitely recommend Mr. Handyman and when we have another job we will be giving them a call!

They did a great job repairing our ceiling, and the final cost was even cheaper than we expected. Great communication from the office as well.

This is my first time using Handyman services and I was pleasantly surprised. Scheduling was easy and had times before work so I didn’t have to take time off. Brett showed on time and was very efficient. He took care of my projects without any issues and actually saved me money by working with what I had. The rates may be higher than I would like but I look at it as the price of convenience and I will definitely use their services again.
Edit: I forgot to mention Charity in the front office. Charity was very friendly and professional too.

Mr. Handyman’s customer service was very professional from the initial phone call in scheduling an appointment to completion of the repair service. Charity, who I spoke to schedule my appointment was very patient and understanding in answering my questions and easing my concerns especially when I called back with additional questions (before I scheduled the appointment) and each time Charity took the time to answer them without fail. Brett, the service technician was efficient in completing the service repair in the time frame allotted. He was very conscientious in making sure the repair was done correctly. Mr. Handyman installed a railing on our front porch stairs. They pointed me to a vendor that sold full railing kits with all the fixtures, were we purchased our kit. Brett showed up right in time. He installed the railing with ease and speed. We only had to pay the minimum charge. The woman who called and made the arrangements for us was professional and a great communicator. They seem super busy so she set clear expectations from the start in terms of how soon they could come out. I am very happy with Mr. Handyman and will use them again.

I've hired Mr. Handyman twice for two different projects around my house and I have to say, they are my go-to source. My front porch steps were falling apart and I called multiple companies to see if they could rebuild them. Some said no (project not big enough), some didn't show up when they were supposed to, and some just didn't respond. Not only did Mr. Handyman take on the job, but they showed up and finished it in a day. Plus, the handymen were just solid people. I called them again when someone broke into my garage and they were able to come out within a day or two to fix the frame and proceeded to do a bunch of other jobs I had lined up.

Again, Mr. Handyman is my go to because they show up on time and are pretty transparent about what to expect. After I had that break in, they sent someone out as quickly as they could and...it just felt like they cared. I was nervous that they'd come out and say they needed to order new parts and it would be a week or two before I could lock my garage. Rick Justice, one of the handymen, straight up said his priority was to at least secure the door while we waited for those parts. And he did secure the door, which gave me so much peace of mind. Would absolutely recommend.

The original appointment was not kept (employee no call/no show) but they showed up early for the second appointment after calling to confirm it was OK. Rick and Aaron quickly diagnosed the problem with the sliding glass door, obtained the needed parts and finished the job in no time. I'm very happy with the result and hope that Rick and Aaron are assigned my jobs in the future.
If not for the missed appointment this would have been a 5 star review.

I had 3 external light fixtures replaced and 2 window shutters hung. The technician did completed the job quickly and professionally. He was very nice as well and I would recommend him to anyone.

Installed dishwasher and fridge, did an amazing job , very respectful and caring about our needs and made sure not to scratch new wood floors.

Bret from Mr. Handyman was great and took care of the install of the garbage disposal I had already purchased. Was on time, didn't make a mess, and took the time to make sure there were no leaks with the new unit. Was very polite and professional.

Rick installed a lighted exhaust fan in a bathroom. Really nice guy. Very professional. On time, and knowable. Explained that the fan didn’t turn on at full speed, because the unit has a microchip that fluctuates the fan as needed, deepening on humidity & air.

I wish i could give 0 to them. worst work management. unorganized , zero management skill. they promised me for two weeks will come to do the job on Monday but on Friday they said they cannot do it. they new my zip code from beginning but they excuse was oh we are mot aware of it. they did not make any apology. my advise: do not work with these people. they are extremely unorganized unprofessional and make misleading claims and statements,

I rarely leave bad reviews but stay away from these guys. The work they did was good but now they're trying to double charge me for some of it. Paid for part of the work the day of service and they refuse to subtract that from the invoice after being provided with receipts several times. Its been four months since the service, two months since receiving the incorrect invoice, and no response from Lee, the only person that can edit the invoices. They've even gone so far as to ignore my phone calls. Very unprofessional and difficult to work with.

They saved me when I desperately needed a handyman in the middle of a big flooring project. Charity was a delight to work with and she figured out how to get two great handymen out to replace a section of my sub-flooring within hours while I was getting flooring laid by a company
who was not allowed to touch my subfloor. Everyone was professional and knowledgeable.

Michael replaced my shower doors and installed grab bars. Everything is great so far. Won't be using shower until tonight or tomorrow morning. Not expecting any issues.

Called for shower drain replacement-leaking. Was told by Mike the tech they could do repair from above at 1pm. At 4 pm he tells me the pipe came out of the T and now he has to repair from below--cut 2 holes in my wall NOT NEAR THE DRAIN plumbing-at 9pm said the pipe might have broke and he needs to think about how to repair and would be back tmorrow. I decided to call plumber -as no one would take 8 hours tear up your home break the pipe put holes in you walls and still do not replairs. I paid them nothing!! Told them not to return..called a plumber --who took apart the drain repair to show me this pipe---no way water would NOT leak from this damage!! Mike broke the pipe off at both ends---was 5 feet away from the drain and 7 foot from the other how in the wall. Plumber made two nice cuts in the wall did all the repairs --had to replace what Mike broke off in the main pipe drain $1350.00 dollars later . He told me the $350.00 damage was due to Handyman..otherwise it was a $1000.00 job. I paid Handyman of Gahanna ZERO! Called the office told them not to ever come back--the office girl was great-tired to get the manaer on the phone--he never came to the phone or called back. BEWARE!!! call a proferssional!! L@@k at the pictures this was his repair--my house would have flooded. Wow..

We originally scheduled for Mr. Handyman to come out & quote a few repairs needed in our home. They were scheduled on a Friday between 11a-1p. When no one showed by 1:15p I called to inquire if they were still coming & was informed that the person scheduled had called off for the day & they couldn't schedule anyone else. A call ahead of time would've been nice! I re-scheduled for the following week for window of 3p-5p. I received a call shortly before 1p that they could come early & I stated I was in the middle of a meeting for work & this would not work for my schedule, to please come between the time scheduled. Approximately 10mins later (shortly after 1pm), I hear a knock at my door, my dog started barking. I had to abruptly pause my meeting & run downstairs from my office to find the the Mr. Handyman tech at my door, after I stated not to come early because the time didn't work for me. I told them not to come back! After terrible communication for the first appt that no one showed up for & then to come early for the second one after I stated not to, is extremely poor business.

The technician came out as scheduled, left the job unfinished, the water heater was not put back together right, left two screws out which left the unit unsealed and almost caused a major CO leak. There was smell of gas, called the gas company where the gas company had to come out and shut it down the water heater and tag it. Later the tech came to fix it but whatever work he had done, caused the ignition box to melt overnight . I had to call a different company, they said it’s beyond repair and had to replace the entire water heater. I called your company for some reimbursement but haven’t gotten any call back. I am extremely unhappy with the whole situation.

This is the 3rd time we have used Mr. Handyman and we highly recommend their service. Today, Chris G. came out to remove then install 3 toilets and fix our frame less shower door to get the bottom sweep on. Chris was great! He showed up on time, he was very professional but friendly, he actually did the job without wasting time standing around talking. Chris worked quickly but was very efficient. There was no mess to clean up, Chris cleaned up everything before he left. It couldn't have gone any better. Chris G was amazing. We will definitely use Mr. Handyman over and over and ask for Chris each time.

We had Lee out on 6/18. He did a nice job of talking us through a couple of projects that we wanted quoted. We were told both verbally and in writing that Mr. Handyman charges $60 for estimates and that we would receive an estimate within 1 week. We paid the $60 charge when Lee was out to quote the job. After not hearing from the company for 10 days, I called to check on the status of our estimate. The man who answers the phones was rude and stated that they were working on our estimate and we would have it soon. He was not able to give me a time frame for when the estimate would be back or any additional information about the estimate. After 3 more days of not having the estimate, we called and asked for our $60 estimate fee back since we had not received the estimate. The man who answers the phone was again very rude. He did not have any answers for us and was he was not able or willing to help us get into contact with someone who could possibly help us. I would advise against using this company.

Bret, arrived on time, was very professional and friendly. He worked Non stop and cleaned up after himself when done. Their office staff is very friendly too and their pricing is fair. I've already referred them to my friends.

The technicians were there to install floor tile to my bathroom. However, they ran into a problem. As they were removing the toilet, they noticed the wood underneath the toilet had rotten. Water had been leaking from the toilet causing the floor to weaken. So, they had to fix the problem by getting rid of the rotten wood and installing new wood to the floor, before re-installing the toilet and laying down the floor tile.

Michael was exactly on time. He was courteous and professional. I did not watch him do his work but I was pleased with the finished project.I would not hesitate to recommend.

First of all the company was over 3 hours late for their appointment and did not call or email me at all to say they were going to be late I tried calling them several times with no answer and no return call then the person that came to my house says to band-Aid the problem instead of fixing it properly would not even give a estimate to fix it properly and also only looked at half the problem and has the nerve to take money when they did not even 100% look at the problem if I wanted a band-aid fix I would have done it myself instead of wasting my time with this company if you want something fixed right I guess call someone else not this company

Overall, 2 sink drain repairs seem to have been done correctly. Prior plumbing work was done incorrectly, and Mr. Handyman installed drain vents and unclogged years of grime. Job well done.

My criticism is communication was poor and the job was not completed on time according to what was communication.

Used the franchise to repair some siding on my home December. The initial visit had to be rescheduled because the work required two technicians. The technicians repaired the siding on the second trip. Received an invoice several months later for double the original price. Called the franchise and was told that the upgraded charge was for two technicians. This is something they failed to communicate during the initial consultation and when the initial visit was rescheduled. When I expressed my displeasure at their lack of communication and lackadaisical billing, I was told the staff would check with the owner and they would call back. Similar to other reviews, I never got a call back. I reached out again and received several excuses and the franchise refused to take responsibility for system errors which resulted in the delay related to receiving the final invoice. The franchise also said I never called when I expressed my displeasure for them not calling me back. I was basically threatened that this would be sent to collections if I don't pay despite the franchise taking 3-4 months to send me an invoice. In all, it seems as if this franchise fails to communicate with customers and won't take responsibility for their lack of communication and system/operational issues.

I had this company remove a old sliding glass door and replace it with a new one that I purchased from Menards. They arrived on time, and the man who did the work was excellent. He was efficient and very neat through the whole process. I will use them again for major work like this. There were absolutely no problems

I was trying to save some time in my busy schedule to have a repair man help me with a sink link and door gap issue. The gentlemen came was here for an hour did nothing then left due to a family emergency. Said someone would contact me to reschedule. No one contacted me so I called and emailed them, after getting ahold of them the following day they now cant have anyone out for over 4 weeks. While I understand emergencies happen, to not be able to make it right and have us wait another 4 weeks is pretty bad customer service. I never leave reviews but I felt I had to here. Hopefully this was an isolated incident and not indicative of their business, but they have lost me as a customer and will make sure to not refer anyone their way.

I paid almost $150 for the handyman to go up on the roof and install the little plastic grate on the vent hood, located high up on the side of my house. That part was fine --- took him five minutes, and the job was done. But the very next day it was on the ground again, and they would not stand by their work. I would have had to pay them AGAIN for him to come out and re-install it, this time to put zip ties on it or something to actually keep it in place. If a company doesn't stand by their work 24 hours later, they are not getting my business again.

Great service! Very professional. The technician Mr. Johnson did a great job assembling my company furniture as well as showing up on time.

My wife called Mr. Handyman to reattach an exterior vent cover, accessible only on the roof. Mr. Handyman came, installed the cover, we paid and all was good. Less than 24 hours later, the cover was laying on the ground. Obviously it have been reattached properly. So my wife called Mr. Handyman to have the work done properly, you know, what we paid for. Mr. Handyman wanted to charge us again, 2/3 what it cost the day before. We declined. Why pay again for faulty work? Beware of Mr. Handyman.

I needed a bedroom door/frame replaced. He ended up just replacing the door. The frame could be saved. Matt was very professional, very personable. I would hire him again to do other things that need completed in my home.

Gave window 1-3pm. Arrived close to 4pm. He had to go to Home Depot to purchase a part. Long story short....the part was $13 and he attempted to charge me $50 on the final bill. The finished product was great, business practices seemed unethical. Not a good first impression.

Had them come out to fix front and rear gutter from pulling away from his house. Fixed the front but was unable to fix the rear and would come back to do the work from the roof not the ladder. Well, that was months ago. Very unsatisfied with work.

Received a text, not a phone call the morning of when our work was supposed to be done that the tech was fired and no one will be coming today. And that they are booked up with no offer of sending someone today or early next week. We have been waiting for two weeks to have the agreed upon work done and additional estimates. When I tried to call, no one answered.
