Conner and Tylor did a great job for us. They were prompt and courteous and knew what they were doing to get the job completed in a timely fashion. The office staff (Heather) did a great job in keeping us informed.

I called Alternative Plumbing in the morning with a possible plumbing problem. The woman who answered the phone was very helpful and scheduled an appointment for that day between 1:00pm -5:00pm. She also stated that she would call when their technician Mark was on his way. She did call to let me know that he was on his way and it was earlier than expected which was a bonus. Mark arrived & was very professional and solved our problem. I would recommend them from my experience.

I've used them in the past and had a good exp, so I tried them again. They sent out 2 younger kids to give me a quote on fixing a broken shower faucet. Quoted me a # so high it was clear they just didn't want to do the work. It was more work that I realized even though this was the company who replaced the previous one and it took them less than an hour. Wasted my time and had to go a whole nother day without a shower because they showed up at 6 instead of early afternoon.
Got somebody else to come out and fix it for less than a hundred bucks in 10 minutes. Lesson learned never again

Alternative Plumbing was one of the only plumbing companies that would come out to fix gas line leaks. They were very professional & affordable & knowledgeable. We would definitely use & refer them for future jobs.

Needed a new water line from street to house. They arrived ontime, put the new water line in and had everything hooked up and working again by 1 pm. Very happy with the quality of service !

We contracted with Alternative Plumbing Plus to connect to a recently installed city water line on our street in Bedford Township. From our initial consultation with Mark the owner we felt very confident the job would be done correctly. Mark and his team exceeded all of our expectations on the line installation. The customer service representatives were very efficient and responsive. The skilled crew performing the installation got the job done correctly and on schedule. It is obvious that excellent customer service is their focus at Alternative Plumbing Plus. Certainly that is top-down driven. We highly recommend Alternative Plumbing Plus for any services they provide. We'll be using them whenever possible from now on.

I made an appointment for an estimate, they never showed. Also never told me up front there was a charge for a service estimate.

My hot water heater stopped working this morning. When I called, the lady that answered was professional and nice. They were out within a few hours. The crew, Chris and Tylor, were just as professional and nice. I have used them before and will use them again. I know it will be done correctly. Yes, I recommend them.

Connor and Tylor did an amazing, neat, and outstanding job replacing the cast iron soil pipe and elbow section that were rusted and leaking and resetting the toilet with a new flange! I would definitely recommend Alternative Plumbing and these guys! A+++

They were supposed to come out between 12 and 1600 to look at a job, no call, no show until 1740 when the company called and said they couldn’t do the job. I waisted my whole day waiting for nothing.

The two men that came out did a great job. We have had an ongoing blockage problem in our main line. We have had multiple plumbing companies try to take care of the problem. Alternative plumbing found why we were having that problem. They were very professional and courteous. Would highly recommend them!

After getting two other estimates, Alternative Plumbing Plus did the job for a vastly more reasonable price which was NOT more than the price quoted. They have a thirty minute call notice and arrived on time. They explained what they did and what they found. I highly recommend them based on this experience and would call them first for my next job.

WARNING! Stay away from Alternative Plumbing unless you want damage to your home. We contracted them to connect up to city water. They did not have the city clean and inspect the meter prior to turning on the water. Result? They plugged every water connection in our house with mud and gravel. Hot water tank, dishwasher, clothes washer and every faucet inside and out. We were without water for 2 days while they cleaned all out. During the process they sprayed dirty water on the master bath shower ceiling, drained the hot water tank muddy water onto out basement carpeting, and other damage. They refused to take care of the damage and only gave false promises. Took them to Maumee Small Claims Court and won a judgement against them. Alternative Plumbing owners are one of the best liars in the business we found and full of BS, especially the old woman(owner's wife) that answers the phone. They play dumb all the while and try to feed you bs. What an negative experience my wife and I had. PLEASE! Pick any other plumber but Alternative Plumbing. Check the BBB complaints also for their patronizing baloney excuses.

My homeowners insurance scheduled this company to come out and snake a clogged sewage line. They showed up when scheduled, did their job, and were out the door in a timely manner. Very professional, well-trained plumbers. I had absolutely zero issues with this company, and I am very thankful they came as quickly as they did.

I have used in the past with no problems, they are normally fast and efficient. A lil costly but I believed always paying for good quality service for plumbing UNTIL recently.. I can not question their quality but their common courtesy I question now. They were on the schedule for a property of mine. Which later got rescheduled. The day of rescheduled I Called and made sure we were still on. I was assured we were. Then they did a NO call NO show. And now two weeks later still no word. Needless to say we were ready to pay lots and because they did that we were forced to go a different route.

Epically since their website says same day, or emergency calls. I called on got scheduled one day (plumber got sick or emergency and forced to reschedule- not made at plumber ) mad at the fact that was never further contact

Their lack of customer courtesy will not use them in future works

I had to have the line from my meter to the tap replaced. Two crews came out. One crew to dig and connect, the other crew to bore the line into the basement. These guys did an awesome job! My water was only off for a couple of hours. I am 100% satisfied with the job they did. I would definitely recommend Alternative Plumbing Plus.

My sewer line collapsed and I needed someone fast. Alternative Plumbing Plus showed up next day explained what they had to do and bored in a new pipe so didnt have to tear up my front porch which it was broke underneath. Everything was done fast and professionally. I highly recommend Alternative Plumbing Plus and will continue to use this company.

I had the water main to my house replaced. After the initial speed bump in scheduling an estimate, everything went smoothly. Marcos and Mark were very professional and respectful. Chris and Chad did a great job with replacing my toilet. They were very professional!

Bryan and Steve came and fixed a tub leak and some other minor problems. Very efficient, cleaned up afterwards and very determined to make everything correct. Very professional and very pleasant. Would hire them again

Sloppy work, slow and subpar. Installed shower and bath tub without mortar bed or spray foam. Had to do it myself. Installed vanity, it leaked and got damaged. Had to replace it. Installed a cheap fridge water line which leaked. I'm sure I'll be finding more shoddy work... STAY AWAY!

called set up an appointment for them to come to my home for some work was told there would be a charge to come out for an estimate, which I didn't mind. The day came I took off early for work so not to miss them they never showed up!! No call Nothing!! I called them & was told Oh ya we're Not Licensed to work in Michigan (they are out of Ohio) so we didn't go....
I said ok but why didn't you figure that out when I made the appointment I mean I gave you my address??? & couldn't you have called me to let me know you were not coming out due to that instead of leaving me hanging??
I loss $$ due to leaving work early to meet them and all they they could say was.... sorry not our problem... Don't waste your time with this company they don'y care about how they treat you...

I've had to call Alternative Plumbing twice so far this year, and they have done a great job for a reasonable price both times. Three different technicians came for my two jobs; all were very friendly, very professional, and expert at their job performance. Highly recommended.

Had them come out and hook us up with city water after having nasty sulphur well water. Very personable and down to earth guys. Gets tiring having to haul 5 gallon jugs of water three times a week! Thank you.

We’ve had quite a bit of plumbing-related work done on our 100+ year old property this year - sump pump installation, back flow valve installation, and a full water main line replacement. We’ve been very happy with all of the work Alternative Plumbing has done for us. They arrived on time each day, very polite crew, and have done a great job cleaning up after each job. Will be coming back to them for any of our future plumbing needs!

I highly recommend Alternative Plumbing. We had a major main sewer back up on a Saturday night. We couldn't run water or use the bathroom. The smell was rancid though out the house. First thing on Sunday morning, we called a different company. They didn't show up until 6pm. They told us it was going to be $280/hr and it'll be a mininum of 2 hours but couldn't start until the next afternoon. We decided time call Alternative Plumbing on Monday morning. They were here within 2 hours.
A 2 man crew went right to work. They used their auger and knew exactly how to manuever our small bathroom and the tight crawl space. They hard worked for hours and hours trying to break through. The sewer back up was very solid. At one point they said we may have to get an excavator to dig and clear the line. That would cost $1000's. They called the owner and he gave them some suggestions. They finally broke through. We were relieved. The two guys scrapped out the sewer backup in our bathtub and then asked for disinfectant with bleach to clean the tub, floors and walls. We were very impressed. We are grateful that they worked hard to save us $1000's. Thank you Alternative Plumbing!

I am tackling replumbing my house on my own. I came to part of it where I knew I would encounter problems I could not predict due to the age of the pipes and being very close to the main line in the house. So I decided to call them as I have used them in the past and been happy. They came out and sure enough problems unfolded. But they were able to solve the issues quickly. If I had encountered these problems I would have been without water and had to make an emergency call which would have cost more. I will continue to work on the plumbing in the house but there are a few places I will probably bring them in again because it there are a few more areas where I know it will not go as planned due to the age of the system.

We had two gentlemen out to our building with a completely clogged drain. It was a very messy clean out and they did great. It is working wonderfully. Thank you for your quick service.

They do not show up for their appointments. The dispatcher called & wanted me to meet the plumber at my home a full hour before the scheduled time. I was still at work! So she sent them somewhere else in the mean time. They got stuck at that appointment and couldn't come, after I'd taken off work specifically to meet them! Then they couldn't reschedule at a convenient time for weeks after! Just don't bother.

One bad experience! I called for a broken sewer line. The 2 man crew came out as scheduled. They were kind and friendly. They went immediately outside and went to my cleanout. When that was not accessible they proceeded onto my roof. They used their $50,000.00 piece of equipment to try and unclog the sewer to no avail. But what they did manage to do was flood my house with mud! My bathroom, hall, into my bedroom and a closet was mud ridden. The men helped me clean the mess and apologized. He admitted he should have checked the site inside my house first. He just assumed I had a bathtub and it would have backed up there and not into the house. But no I have a shower only. So I forgave that error and he thanked me. However, next another crew shows up to my house unexpectedly to replace the sewer line. I only find this out because I checked my phone messages during my lunch break. I call Alternative plumbing and the woman tells me the crew has been at my house all day and need to get in the house. She wants me to have someone let them in. Had I known they were coming this would not be a problem but now it was. They would have to wait until I got home after work in a hour. I get home. They work until after dark. The crew member asks for the balance of the money owed and I give him a check. Paid in full. The next day I come home from work to discover they had left my garden hose connected to the outdoor faucet and it was frozen solid. I called the company and spoke with a woman who told me they would be out on Monday ( this was Friday) to finish the job! I thought they were finished! Why was I asked to pay them before the job was finished? And how did they think they were getting back into my house? They never told me anything! And she was no help. I had to demand that she find out why they were coming back. Then she did nothing for me concerning my frozen pipe. I told her I would hold their company responsible for any damage cause should the pipe burst. She stated I will make a note of that. They will be out on Monday. Monday came, trouble with getting them to show up at agreed time. Woman stated she tried calling me and left a message even though we agreed they would be here after I got off work. She wanted them here at 12 noon. Then when she couldn't reach me she sent them on another job! SHe said they would be here next Saturday. No. They finally got here after I insisted I wanted this job done and over. They show up say not a word to me and left without a word. Got in their truck and drove away without speaking to me. I had to call the company again to ask if my job was completed. When the crew man called back he was rude and very unprofessional. I have a feeling this is not the end. I was never asked to look at the finished work. I am having it inspected.

I was referred to this company by another plumbing company. They came out and fixed my issue the same day when other companies were unavailable to make it happen.

I call get a appointment to get my broken pipe fixed got the appointment took the day off because they were supposed to come in the afternoon we were a paying customer before by 4 in the afternoon no plumber so I call them they never called me supposedly they had 2 trucks break down at same time they wouldn't be able to get to me at all this week Bullshit could of called me before I called you and r u gonna pay my wages for the day I think not never again will we be a customer

I called Alternative Plumbing because I needed the main water pipe to my house replaced. Mark came out quickly and gave me a reasonable quote. His crew, Bird and Bobby, replaced the line . They were fast, friendly, and very professional. This is a great company with great service, which is too often hard to find.

Hidden fees!
Looking at the web site and the reviews i was under the impression this was an outstanding company. Bottom line I was charged a $50.00 estimate cost with an an additional 3% credit card charge, NEITHER of which I was informed of when I contacted them originally. To make matters worse the $50.00 was only for the estimate and does NOT count as credit if you choose them for the project.
This is not a company that I will be using now or ever.....

I can't begin to say enough about their service. We had an issue called them at 12pm 2 days before Christmas and by 5pm we were back up and running. Don't know of many places that would do that. Will highly recommend them and only use them in the future.

They got the job done fast but 250.00 was way too much.

Alternative was very responsive to an urgent issue we had with draining. Unlike another plumbing company I used in the past, they ran a camera from the septic tank and immediately discovered we had a broken pipe. They got the clog free so we could use toilets and showers again then came back to repair the break.

The old pipe leading from the house was cheap ABS. Alternative dug out the pipe without breaking up our concrete patio, replaced most of the pipe with rigid schedule 40, and we've been going clog free ever since.

Great pricing. Small nitpick: when I tried to schedule the large work of digging up and replacing the pipe, I only found out after the workers left that I'd need to pay a deposit to get that work scheduled. Had I known I could have paid that while they were there.

Again, very good pricing and excellent work. I wouldn't hesitate calling them again.

I called on Monday afternoon because the water company turned off my water due to a leak on my side. I spoke with Heather and told her Nate Bomyea referred Mark to me (with speaking with her I got a sense of relief due to her helpfulness). She said she will contact him and let me know and see when he could come out. She called back and said he will be out this afternoon and she will call to let me know that he was on his way (which she did). Mark arrived & was very professional and explained in detail step by step what was going to happen. The crew showed up and did what they said they were going to do and Bobby made sure I was good with the clean up before they left. It's Wednesday now and I have water thanks to this amazing team of people.

Please folks find another Alternative. Turn and run. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. They did not call us back to reschedule an appt they cancelled. Same excuse each time we called them... waiting for crew 2 to call back.

We have used Alternative to hook us up to city water and most recently to have a couple new toilets installed. The teams have been nothing but professional and dependable. Will use them for any and all plumbing needs. Thanks for the fantastic service!

The tech that came out was nice, however, I hired them to clear my sewer line, at the cleanout, went to the tank, but didn't bother to go the other direction. Now, just over 30 days later having the SAME issues. They wanted me to pay again. I told them no thanks, that the job should of been done right the first time. Will not recommend.
Lesson learned.

Replaced water service line without much digging and kept lawn and driveway clean and intact. Will recommend. Did excellent work.

I CALLED THEM AND TOLD THEM I NEEDED ABOUT 10 PIPES REPLACED DEBBIE SAID WE HAVE AN APPT NEXT DAY AND THEN THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN ON THEIR WAY. THEN THE NEXT MORNING DEBBIE TOLD ME IT WOULD BE $8-10,000 TO DO THE WORK WITHOUT EVEN SEEING THE PROJECT. I WOULD NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE IF I WAS YOU. I ALSO TOLD HER I WAS A CHRISTIAN. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I USED TO SELL MERCEDES BENZ FOR 19 YEARS SO I AM NO DUMMY.
