I had a great experience with Accent Comfort Services. Trey came out for a quote and gave me the best service among the 4 quotes I took the time to get. Their quote was competitive so I chose them to install a new water heater for me. Dante and Trey did an excellent job and again made sure I had all of my questions answered. They were great and I would definitely recommend them to others.

Hired Accent many times over the years, and they've always done a good job. This time, I had a water leak that pretty much destroyed two rooms in my house. They came in and, not only fixed the leak, but helped redo the plumbing in the room (bathroom) when I had to remodel the entire room. Always came within the two hour time window, always upfront about costs, always came through. Always my first choice for plumbing.

Kirk came out to our home. Gave a quote. Technicians came out. Men made comments of how much was being done for the quote given. Did some of the job and left the job undone. Replaced ac/propane heating for whole electrical system. Also vent system in the bathroom. They did alright. They left equipment at our house with holes in our bathroom ceilings. Called and no answer to repair damages. Left equipment. Lack communication. Techs that come out either don't care or just careless about what they are doing. Payback comes in all sorts of ways. We had to get another contractor to come in and fix what they didn't complete. Yes, we had to pay them as well. Now, Kirk, answer this question..you wouldn't do this to your loved ones would you?

They went above and beyond everything, I called them this morning with out a previous appointment and they were able to come today to install a new thermostat in my house. I certainly recommend Accent Comfort Services!! 1000 of credits to Gunai?

Mark with Accent Comfort Services is awesome! He came to our house to fix an HVAC problem we submitted to our home warranty company, and he diagnosed the problem in minutes. Not only that, he was able to replace our blower motor in only a couple of hours. Our heat and AC are working perfectly now. He was so polite and friendly, too!

My mother used them for years and they always took great care of her. Today they once again came to her rescue! After she was under contract with a new home warranty, she thought she would not need Accent because she was paying for a home warranty. We had Accent out to install a whole home water filtration system and POU reverse osmosis in the kitchen. The cost of doing this work was very fair and both the owner (Dan) and the team plumber tech (Donte) we’re extremely knowledgeable about the product they were installing.

Appointments were prompt and the system works as advertised.

We have a leaking toilet, had appointment on a Wednesday, Technician Travis came out was hear no more than 10 to 20 minutes. Said all was fixed, collected $100 service fee. 3 to 4 hour's later floor completely flooded. Toilet is now leaking weather water value is on or off. Called Accent Comfort to have a revisit, Technician can't come back until following Monday because Thursday is booked and Friday is New Years Eve.Sorry to say bit my Monday appointment was cancelled due to weather (it was just only rain). Rescheduled for upcoming. Thursday, appointment canceled due to shortage of technicians. Now rescheduled for Friday. This has been the absolute worst experience we have ever had with any service provider. One cancelation is acceptable but several with different reasons is not. Let's hope this is a isolated case with bad timing.

We moved into our house last year and had a problem with the central air going out after the first month. The warranty company sent another contractor who couldn't repair the problem. Accent was then contacted and he responded immediately and came and repaired the unit. He explained the issues to me, showed me the problem and was reasonable in price. Just this past week we had an issue with our second unit and it was a holiday weekend. Dan responded again immediately and talked us though the possible problems. They came yesterday to do the actual repair and were professional, quick, and reasonable. I will always call Accent from now on and refer them to everyone who needs help with HVAC!!!

I called yesterday about a leaking garbage disposal. Was able to schedule a service call for this morning. Trey arrived on time, was very professional and friendly. Took the time to walk me through the issue, gave me options for a replacement device and finished the work in a reasonable timeframe. Very pleased with the customer service and service expertise. Used for Air Conditioner Repair...this company and the repair guy they sent was simply awesome. One of the best home repair experiences I have ever had. Very professional, identified the issue quickly, worked to ensure they fix what was wrong while trying to keep the repair costs as low as possible to get the issue corrected for good. I was beyond impressed and will be using them again as well as recommending them to anyone that needs heating and air conditioner help.

I have nothing but praise and thanks for Accent Comfort Services. I woke up to having no heat in my house. I called them right away. The appointment was quickly scheduled. The technician also called beforehand to tell me he was on his way. As a new homeowner of an older home, I don’t know the history of my furnace. The technician could have taken advantage of that situation and sold me parts and service I didn’t need. Instead he was completely professional and skilled. He got the furnace working quickly without problem. Then I was impressed that he stayed to make sure it was properly working. I was not overcharged. Last April we had Accent completely replace both of our upstairs and downstairs systems for our home. Our systems were almost dead and we knew that they would not make it through the summer. The price was fair and was clearly broken down for us to understand. After we paid the deposit we were immediately scheduled for our installation. The technicians were extremely professional. The day of our install was recycling day and the recycling truck dumped our bin in the middle of the road. One of the technicians immediately picked it up and dragged it back to the curb for us. After install the technicians even asked where are vacuum cleaner was and vacuumed our floor. We were very pleased with the whole process and have had no issues with the units over the past months. I highly do suggest if you know your units have issues to get them looked at and/or replaced before the summer rush. Overall great experience. I have even had Accent out to my mother-in-law's house for plumbing and they did great work there as well.

I’ve hired Accent Comfort Services for two plumbing jobs - one planned and another emergency. Each plumber I’ve worked with has been excellent. I have been servicing my 2 HVAC - heat pumps with Accent for eight year now and they are the reason the units lasted 20 years.
One unit started showing its age back in 2017 but per their suggestion I did not replace it. It finally broke down (May 2020) so I decided to replace both units. The Accent team was very helpful in helping me decide the right size unit, and are helping me process my Duke Energy rebate. They did the job within days of me accepting their proposal. Both new units are up and running and needless to say I will continue servicing them with Accent.

We have been using Accent Comfort Services for the last several years in both my home and my businesses. They do quality work and do what they say they will do. I always know honesty and dependability are two things they live by. I look forward to continuing to have them service our needs as the arise.

It's not been great. Our warranty company sent out Accent to our house because the outside fan on the unit wasn't turning. The tech replaced the capacitor and it started up. Within a few hours the unit was no longer blowing cold air and I had to go back through the warranty company to get them to come back out. The tech then went to the unit under the house and noticed the coils had rusted through and all the coolant had leaked out. This should have been noticed the first time. He refilled the coolant and told us he'd get new coils ordered. Warranty company calls and they tell me my portion and I agree to it. About a week later I call Accent and they said they've been waiting on me to call and pay a deposit, but no one from this office called me to inform me of this. Once I paid the deposit they came within a few days and installed the new coils. Within twelve hours the unit was no longer cooling and the outside unit had stopped working entirely. The warranty company was frustrated enough that they are sending a second company out to fix the issue. I see a lot of positive reviews so maybe my experience was unique but I will not use Accent again.

Accent Comfort Services recently installed a new heat pump system at my home. They did a great job and were a pleasure to work with. They were on-time, professional and even loaned us a temporary ac unit to keep us cool until the work was finished. Gunai is the worst customer rep I have ever encountered.

Got the appointment via the warranty company. Absolutely worst customer service possible.
My appointment was for a water heater made two days in advance and in the middle of an extremely cold week. Right in the middle of my appointment slot, I get a call from the company that I have an appointment for the following Monday, with no reference to the fact that I was supposed to have a technician at my place at that particular moment. When questioned regarding the existing appointment, the customer service representative Gunai said Well things happen. No apology whatsoever. And when I insisted that I need her name and my new appointment slot for the following Monday she BANGED THE PHONE ON ME and said: you can call the warranty company.

After multiple calls back to the office based on the call-in number I was able to get her name, the owner's contact, and my appointment confirmation for Monday. I am yet to contact the owners as they are out!! I will update accordingly.

Technician was here for 5 min total, walked in door i gave description of problem before we made it to the bathroom technician said to contact Moen for warranty/replacement part. Technician took one look at faucet and said he would come back to install after part received. Went to truck came back charged me $74, I asked how much it would cost to put part on after it arrived told $185, I asked if any discount for this visit could be applied for when they come fix with replacement part, answer was NO. Why was I asked on the phone what the problem was if it could have been assessed without having someone come out, the tech told me the problem before we got to the bathroom. I would have gladly paid the $185 for the fix. This is the second time I used Accent Comfort based on a recommendation. First experience with hot water heater was OK, this experience was embarrassing and more about making money. Will not use them again and certainly will not have them put the replacement part on for $185!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy with the service I received from Accent Comfort Services. I called to get some help with a DIY project gone wrong on a sink. They were able to send someone out that day and took care of the problem immediately and professionally. Trey was the professional who came and he was very kind and did great work. Accent is my go-to for all things HVAC, plumbing, etc!

We truly appreciated the special effort installers, Austin and David, provided. They made sure the job was completed even when the day got late. Their dedication to doing the job right was commendable. Both Austin and David were professional and friendly. Our home warranty company set up the appointment for us because of a leak in a clean out pipe. The cap for the pipe was on an interior wall of our garage. The technician arrived on time and was polite. He called me at work to say he needed to cut a significant hole in the wall but first he needed to go get a part for the repair. I said that's fine, just do the work. As the technician was leaving he told my son he needed to get the warranty company to approve the work.

A day later I called the office to find out why the technician never returned to our house. They told me the claim was denied and their rep said he told me that. It was the first time I'd heard the claim was denied. So I asked the customer service rep to schedule the work anyway. She claimed she couldn't get back with us for several days.

Long story short, they wanted nearly $900 to tear out a wall and replace the pipes. (By the way, they wouldn't be replacing the portion of wall they removed.) I called All American Plumbing and got the problem fixed the next day for less than $200 and ZERO damage to my wall.

Clearly this company lives off getting home warranty claims denied, then charging home owners enormously inflated prices.

Avoid at all costs.

Accent Comfort Services was quick to respond to a service claim (w/ my home warranty). When they came out, they fixed the problem they could see. The AC is currently running more often and consistently--it wasn't before they came out. It is an older unit. We may need to reach out again in the future. I would use them again.

We needed fast service on our air conditioning unit on a day the temperature hit 94. They scheduled the service the same day, both the scheduler and technician were very courteous and professional, the technician was prompt and efficient, and the repair was accomplished by the afternoon of our service call. Based upon our experience, we strongly recommend Accent Comfort.

We had Accent service our tankless hot water heater. They arrived when promised, were courteous, and did a great job at a fair price. We will be using them again, and you should too!

Accent provided an inspection during my due diligence. Kirk took the time to explain the components of the system, how thing works, and what to watch out for. There was an issue outside of his control that required follow-up, and he completed it promptly. Much appreciated.

Have had them come for a few things.
1. Quick look at a noisy AC unit. Tech came promptly and diagnosed the unit was fine and just being stressed by the weather. Left info on service plans, but wasn’t pushy.
2. Electrician’s came and hung several lights. They were pleasant and competent. Would have them come again.
3. Had the electrician’s come and install a home standby generator. Scheduled for two days. They accomplished it in one day. They cleaned up after themselves without even once being asked. So far so good. The unit seems to be working great. I’ll post a follow up after we need to use it for a bit.

We had an excellent experience with Accent when we recently got a new unit for our upstairs. The work was completed on time and they were able to schedule us within 3 days of us contacting them to replace our existing unit. Accent Comfort Services was sent out to repair my heating system by my home warranty company on 11/10/14. I was very happy with their service. They were quick, yet thorough and courteous. Sure hope the warranty company keeps them on their list!

Accent Comfort Services is an excellent company for heating & air conditioning, for plumbing and for electric. Their technicians are prompt, skilled, well-mannered and trustworthy. The maintenance contracts they offer I consider to be good values in today's market-place.

They always respond quickly with people who know what they are doing. Over the years we've had them do plumbing and electrical work, repaired our air conditioner and just recently installed a new furnace. In every case they did great work. Before using Accent we had gone through several heating and air services and wouldn't use any of them twice. Since we found Accent we haven't used anyone else.

Came by and made a repair on my tankless water heater. Pros and ontime.

We came home from a weekend away to find our house at 88 degrees. Of course this was a Sunday night. We contacted the company that we had a warranty with but could get no response. Finally called another local company who came out and fixed it. But 2 days later it was out again. Company came back and decided it needed a new fan motor and replaced it that day. By that evening, no AC again! Started getting the run around when we called again. Had heard a lot of positive experiences with Accent Comfort Services from 2 family members and 2 other friends. We called them and they came out the next morning. They found the motor that was installed to be defective. We contacted the original company who installed it and they argued that it was surely not defective but would send someone out. It was a no show. Called Accent Comfort Services again - they came out the next day. It was then determined that the wrong type fan motor had been installed by the original company. Accent immediately got a new fan motor, installed it, and it's been working perfectly since.

Throughout the entire process, Accent Comfort Services (Dan Mills) and all the staff were extremely professional and followed up with exceptional communication. They assured me they would do everything they could to get us comfortable again in our home. I would highly recommend them!

We initially called another contractor for our leaking hot water heater and was told they couldn't come out to install a new one for at least a week. We got in touch with Accent and received a new water heater and installation within a few hours! They even showed up earlier than I thought. The guys were great! Veey nice and professional. Will absolutely call them again.

Used Accent on several occasions past few years. First purchased ac unit then added gas, finally helped with sewer issues at clean out by the house. Every time they came out on time and finished work as promised. Price was very fair each time. Mostly appreciate there honesty and integrity when doing business. My A/C froze up on a Sunday. The Accent crew was out on Monday morning and diagnosed my issue. I was on my way out of town, and the entire staff did a great job of communicating with me throughout the day. Icing on the cake...they had an opening in the schedule and my new unit was installed 4 days early! When does that ever happen?? Installation went smoothly and quickly. I had an HVAC contractor check out my heating units and was told I need $2,500 worth of repairs. Ouch! I called Kirk with Accent Comfort Systems for a second opinion. Kirk came out the next day and evaluated the units in question. He spotted some potential issues that were just starting - nothing that needs to be addressed now. Kirk was honest and thorough. Last summer we were expecting company when the first heat wave hit us. Fired up the A/C and it was not cooling the house at all. No way we could have a house full of people in that heat. We called several hvac companies ad everyone was slammed. Accent sent out a tech the same day. We ended up needed a whole new A/C unit and they had it install the next day. We called around to make sure the price was good and it was very competitively priced, especially considering the next day service. I hope to never need them again, but I would not hesitate to use them should the need arise. I would also not hesitate to refer them to friends and family.

As a Realtor, I only use and recommend service providers I know. And I trust Accent to do a good job on behalf of my sellers and buyers. I use them on my personal home. Recently, they did an inspection on behalf of my buyer. The technician was polite, professional and patient as he explained the system and his findings to my client.

Initially I was very satisfied with this company, they fixed a short in our AC unit after a previous company replaced a fuse only to have the unit go out a week later. However, we're sitting at just over a month out from their repair (they have a 30 day coverage, it's been 35 days) and our unit is out again. Because it's not covered, we had to make another request through our warranty, got this company again, and the soonest available appointment is 10 days out. Reading previous reviews it's clear that this delay is due to using a warranty.. extremely disappointed and frustrated with both the quality of repair and customer service of this company.

I have been impressed with every person I've met from Accent. They're honest, polite and ethical. Their focus is on keeping your existing system running, not selling you something you don't need. I trust them anytime I need help with heating, AC, plumbing and electrical.

I had no hot water. I had the gas company come out and he said it was a problem with my thermostat on the heater. My hot water heater was still under warranty for parts. I was able to get the part and my brother replaced it for me. We were still unable to get the pilot light to stay lite. So I called Accent because they were mentioned on the Rheem website. I wasn't sure if there was something else going on inside the heater. The guy came out and was able to light the pilot light in less than 5 minutes. I am not sure if it just needed time for the gas to start flowing again or what. They charged me $150 to light the pilot light! It was ridiculous. I wish I would have tried to relight it myself before the technician arrived. I would have saved $150.

I am on the board of directors for a nonprofit in Huntersville NC. We are building a Community Resource Center and depend totally on donations for support. We were in need of a plumber to install the disposal and kitchen faucet. I contacted Dan Mills at Accent to ask if he would help us. He said YES! He scheduled an appointment to send a plumber out quickly. The plumber arrived on time, completed the installation, was very professional and cleaned up after he was done. You can't ask for a better response time and support than Accent Comfort Services provided our organization. I would highly recommend!

We highly recommend doing business with Accent!

We were adding on a new sunroom and were faced with either keeping our existing A/C unit and purchasing a mini-split (for the addition space) or buying a new 4 ton system which would accommodate both. Accent provided us with quotes both ways and it turned out buying a larger unit was the better value.

The Accent team arrived when they promised, completed the job ahead of schedule, and overall did an outstanding job! More importantly, they provided exceptional customer service and quality workmanship which are rare finds these days.

Great Service! Very Professional! We've had 4-5 companies do warranty work on our HVAC system over the last several years and we have never had the service and professional treatment that we get from Accent. They do a great job, do not try to sell us service or products we don't need and I know the owners are trustworthy and have their customers' best interests in mind. I can't recommend Accent highly enough.

Edit Our insurance company sent them out when our heat pump started acting up. They called us right back and set up a convenient time to come, called 30 minutes before they got here, ordered parts and came back the next day, also calling before they got here. I had to edit this posting because as great as they were calling etc. After the heater repair?? My ac stopped working. The first time I cut it on. It was 2 weeks later, supposedly fixed it and after 3 attempts. I called my warranty back and had someone else come out and fix it.

I used Accent in the fall to fix my heat and had a great experience. During that same visit I showed the tech my AC compressor (brand new) that needed to be hooked up and charged. He said something like no problem and so I didn't hesitate to set up an appointment later in the spring to have the work done. So I took off work to sit at home and meet the technician only to be told that they would not do the work which I can only assume is because I did not buy the unit from them. If you don't want to do the work, fine. But don't waste my time. I explained the exact situation to a tech in person and a person on the phone who set up the appointment, both of which were opportunities for them to turn down the job so I could spend my time getting someone that wanted the job.

Despite my frustration with ACCENT, Lance was very polite and apologetic about the situation. He was obviously just following orders.

I've been dealing with Dan and the Franks for several months now. I continue to be impressed with their professional candor and commitment to customer service. I personally know of multiple situations where they went the extra mile to save their customers time and money - including negotiating with suppliers for rebates and warranties on behalf of their clientele. I would not hesitate to recommend their company to anyone.

I arrived home to find the HVAC system not working. I called Accent and they sent out a technician as soon as one was available. They identified a short had caused a transformer to fail. Easy to replace the transformer but the challenge was to find the location of the short. The technician did a good job finding the short, repaired the wiring and reset the thermostat. The best part was the technician (Mark) called me the next morning (Sunday) to make sure all was working well and it was. Not often you get a call after the work has been completed. Highly recommend Accent for your HVAC work. I understand they also do electrical and plumbing work.

Accent was price competitive. Technicians were prompt, thorough , polite, easy to work with and did no damage to furnishing or landscape. Lead technician took full responsibility for all of the work and followed up when the installation of our three units required more than one day. A job well done at a fair price.

Accent replaced our first floor system last year and added a humidifier to the system. They did a great job and have been very responsive to our questions. Much like some of the other reviews I have read, my problem was because I had a warranty for my home, they tried to nickle and dime everything to the tune of $485.00. Our hot water heater started leaking in the middle of the night, my husband had to shut our water off and I called our warranty company the next day. Our warranty company contacted several people who could not get to us for a few days, but Accent said they could get here right away. The tech cut our incoming and outgoing lines and capped them both so we could have cold water to our home. First mistake. We have been told by our new plumbing company there was no reason to cut both lines. Next, our warranty company called and stated what they were paying, but that there were $485.00 worth of items they were not paying for. I then called Accent and was told the rep (Jennifer) would need to call me back. I waited and never got a return call. Friday morning rolls around (3 days later) and no one calls. Finally I call them and she said Jennifer had been trying to call but I wasn't answering. I said no and she told me Jennifer would call me back. I called 2 hours later and stayed on hold until Jennifer answered who claimed she had been calling me all morning and when I argued with her she said my phone number was written down wrong and she had been calling someone else. I ask her about the out of pocket expenses and she tried to explain them and I told her I needed to talk to my husband I and would call her back. After 10 minutes I called Jennifer and left a message. Almost 2 hours and no call back so I call again. Jennifer had left for the day and would call me Monday. Monday comes and goes and no call from Jennifer. I call the warranty company and they magically can get Jennifer on the phone. I told her what we were not willing to pay for due to not needing those items and she said she would call the tech and email me. I got the email and one of the many problems was insulation on my water lines. She said our tech said code was no more than 10 of exposed pipe and we had 2 feet. I went up to my attic and measured 8 of exposed pipe and took pictures. I ended up taking a cash out from my warranty company to avoid being ripped off by this company. At most my out of pocket expenses would be $50 said my new plumbing company. The company I hired said the $485 makes up for the normal price of installing a water heater in an attic and what the warranty company was actually paying them. They were ripping me off to make up for the negotiated price with the warranty company. They never once called me in 6 days, I had to call and call and call to get any answers. They took on our task even in an escalated situation and have dragged it out for 7 days so far, and I called a plumbing company and am now getting a same day hot water heater installation for $852.00. Bad customer service, and overpriced. AVOID!

We didn’t end up purchasing any services from Accent but I felt, in my personal obligation to give a shout out to Kirk due to his outstanding customer service. His willingness to present a Fair, cost effective and reasonable product was truly refreshing. During our conversations I felt like Kirk truly understood my situation and was going out of his way not only to get me a package that I needed, but at the best possible price - well beyond what he could easily say is the “take it or leave it” price. I felt he was 100% genuine and honest about what packages were available and what were best for my situation. The only reason we chose a different company was a family member association with another company. If at any point I become disappointed with my decision I will not hesitate to give Kirk a call.

This company is everything that is wrong with the HVAC industry. They came to our service through First American home warranty, we had to wait 2 weeks for our appointment, then 3 hours before our set time we received a phone call informing us they were running early and on their way to our home. We were out grocery shopping, so we informed them it will be a little while, where we were then informed that if we were not there on their arrival that we would have to reschedule.

The following day, we received the invoice for our out of pocket expenses to be over $2,000 for replacing the Evap coil. Our warranty company was covering the freon, unit, and labor, yet these price gouging, self serving, thinking people don't know anything about their line of work, commission driven individuals, were still billing us for over $2,000. I immediately requested another contractor and was passed to Charlotte Air experts, where they only took 2 days to come out to evaluate, on time, wrote a similar invoice with all the same material I wanted done, for an out of pocket cost of $600. This company might do good work, I do not know, but I would suggest looking elsewhere of you do not have deep pockets.

I typically don't post reviews but people need to know about this company. I had great service from the person on the phone to the technician who came out to the house. He was courteous, professional and explained things in a way I could understand. I was thinking it was going to be much worse than it was but it turned out to be a broken clamp - a quick and easy fix. Its such a good feeling when you realize that you're dealing with honest people who know what they are doing!

Accent Comfort Services has come to my rescue again, this time for a busted hot water tank. Technician arrived early next morning for evaluation, quote and scheduling. I would highly recommend ACS for all your HVAC and Plumbing needs and emergencies!

THE WORST EVER!!!!! Accent scheduled my appointment, then called to cancel by just saying they can't do it anymore; I had to call twice because the scheduling folks (outsourced?) did not reschedule the appointment. I had my warranty rep call them; HE confirmed the appointment. Had my elderly mother waiting for 2 hours; no one showed up. Called and was told that the appointment was for the next day when in reality it was not. The rep tried to tell me that I confirmed it (really? I actually WORK!!!). Best only for someone who sits at the house all day long. Does not deserve even a star. Never dealt with less professional company. Oh, and the rep on the phone hung up on me.

I've used Accent for many years now and have been extremely pleased with their service. I had them replace all of my duct work in the crawl space including a zone system, new furnace and air handler, a heat pump, and tankless hot water heater. All done with great quality and they stand by their products. I will recommend them to anyone for HVAC and plumbing needs.

Was sent to my house by home warranty company because my toilets wouldn't flush. My appointment was between 2pm and 4pm. The plumber arrived at 2pm but didn't actually make it to my front door until 15min later. Came out to my house and tried to snake the toilet but that didn't work. The plumber told me he thought it was a main line blockage and needed to go look for my sewage drain clean out outside. A minute or two later he was back and said he didn't see one. He said he would need to take the toilet off to fix the blockage, but needed approval from the home warranty company. This process took about an hour and ended with him saying he didn't want to take the toilet off because it could flood my house (good thing we went through all that for nothing). He then said he could put in sewage drain clean out for about $1,200. Not feeling very satisfied by the minute or two that he took to find a sewage drain clean out, I started to talk to him about it, he told me I needed to have one put in because it was code. I just bought the house a year ago so if it was code, it would have come up during the home inspection. He kept saying its code, I kept telling him I would have one then and we needed to find it. He was like well it is usually in this area and kicked around a few leaves and...what do you know there it was. Amazing what happens when you actually look for something. Then he started to work on clearing the blockage through the sewage drain clean out. He told me I had roots in the sewer line and I would need to replace the line. I asked him several questions about the roots in the line. He did give me answers to my questions and told me that I could call the city to flush the line that runs to the street, BUT he did not think that was the problem and I would need to replace the sewage line up to the house. He said it would take him about 8 hours, would tear my lawn up and cost around $3,500. After he left I called the city and they came and fixed the blockage for FREE. So my point is, the plumber was a nice guy and answered my questions, but I was told I needed $4,700 of work when I really didn't. I will not work with companies who choose to operate like this. I don't appreciate people who try to screw me over and take my money. If you're into that, call Accent Comfort Services.

I was referred by my home warranty company. I was nervous to have them come out to my home after reading the reviews. Dustin was nice and got the job done quickly. Appointments were scheduled quickly as well. No complaints.

I have been using Accent Comfort Services for all of HVAC needs. They are always honest and reliable unlike some of the big names you see around town.

I have used their services for the past year and a half personally and for many years as a REALTOR suggestingn them to my clients. Last year they helped me discover that my connections under my home were barely attached after my inspector missed it. I had called them to have a spicket installed when we discovered that. I had them out to install an outside outlet when they discoveted my main support beam was 40% rotted from termite damage. After having a contractor fix that they came out and repaired the damage that contractor did to my heating exhaust and lines. They are not the cheapest but they do great work at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

Had the misfortune of HAVING to do buisness with this company this week. My home warranty company sent Accent Heat/Air to repair our ac system. I knew ahead of time that the system had a leak. I thought I was going to pay the $60 service call and the warranty company would pay the rest. Was I wrong.
Accent came out and diagnosed a leaking coil. Then they tell the warranty company that I need a float switch for extra $$/ repipe the drain for extra $$/ and $75 to remove and dispose of the old part. After I argued with Accent and the warranty company they removed the disposal charge. My system has no float switch so they couldn't charge for it (I was there watching them do the repair!) The repiping took a few minutes and 3 or 4 pvc fittings. I had to pay that charge.
Bottom line: this company is dishonest! They will overcharge you with add ons and extra charges. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Comfort Services has a crew of knowledgeable and professional workers. I was so relieved when Kurt arrived with skilled employees and replaced a complete HVAC system. I have had previous experience with a different company whose crew caused so much commotion or damage, I was fearful of HVAC companies. Accent Comfort put my fears to rest; Kurt was so great I asked him to take care of our needs at another location ... Excellent service from beginning to end. We will be using Accent Comfort for all of our HVAC needs in the future.

I had a major back-up in my master bath sink. A gentlemen named Dustin from Accent arrived on time and was able to repair the issue within 20 minutes. He also helped educate me on why the issue occurred and how to avoid it next time. He even cleaned up some of the mess that I created.

We have been using Accent for several years now and cannot thank them enough for keeping our A/C systems performing as they should. They are always punctual and very personal. They also do not make you fell bad about a dumb thing that you yourself did or missed that caused you to call them out there to fix. Great experiences.

We have a house that was built in 1977 on a slab. A leak under the slab has a couple of solutions. We contracted Accent to re-plumb the water lines in the house and, since the hot water heater had never been replaced Accent also installed a tankless water heater.
The crew that fixed our house was incredibly professional and highly skilled. The work was done quickly and right the first time. We are absolutely thrilled with how our (now modern) water system works (no more scalding people in the shower when a toilet is flushed!).
We were SO impressed with the people at Accent that while they were still here working on the water system we asked Accent to also replace our aging HVAC system.
The crew that performed the HVAC work was equally professional as the plumbing crew had been and that work was completed exceptionally quickly. We're enjoying our nice, uniformly warm home and are looking forward to a more comfortable, and more affordable summer as well!

Dan's team came to my home to assist with the removal of an A/C unit in order to replace the roof. After Dan's team came to my home, removed the unit and replaced the unit, I found that my previous service provider had done a shoddy job. After Dan's team replaced the unit, my home was toasty warm. I had no idea we had a problem. Dan and his team members are professional, prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. I couldn't be happier!

Accent has been awesome for several jobs over the years, new systems and repairs, HVAC, plumbing, you name it! They are quick, honest, and always reasonable.

This company charged us $160 for a 15 min service call- $69 service fee and $90 for the electrician to push a button- meaning labor. When we called and left a message for the manager to return our call to discuss refunding the $90 labor fee, he never return the call. When my husband called again, the manager wouldn't come to the phone, he let his assistant do the talking. He would only agree to refund $20. We were always happy with this company's service until now. They just lost a four year long customer.

Had a furnace installed with them but they moved the AC so that it wouldn't drain properly. Now my ceiling is wet, can't use my A/C, and they can't come out for another 4 days. Really? Do not use if you expect to get a job done properly or any sort of service.

If there was a choice for no stars I would have chosen that. Unfortunately our warranty company always sends these guys out. They are usually late and/or cancel 30 min prior to appt. we've been waiting exactly 14 days for a part. They show up today 2-1/2h late. We were told it was fixed. However after the tech left its still leaking in the basement. I guess they'll enjoy replacing the drywall when it is ruined. Avoid this business like the plague.

Called this company as a referral from my home warranty and was told the earliest appointment was 10 days out. Our AC is out and it’s 90 degrees in our house. My husband called back 5 min later and gave my neighbors address and said we did not have a warranty and they could get someone out today.

We had Accent come out and give us a second opinion on a quote we received from another company. They came out on time and gave us a better quote, we then disclosed the issue brought to our attention by the previous company and Accent assured us there was no such issue. I would highly recommend these guys!

I was unfortunately in need of their services twice in one week. One hot water heater issue then the next day I had an air conditioning problem. I don’t understand how anyone could possible use anyone else. They had same day appointments both times I called. The techs were both super nice, courteous, and professional. They would answer any questions along the way and one guy even gave me some tips to help make my hot water heater last longer and showed me how to do it. Both techs were super quick in diagnosing, explaining the problem, best course of action for repair, and fixed it same day. I guess I was a little lucky with parts being available, and my luck normally sucks with that kind of thing. Neither one tried to sell me anything I didn’t need, or tell me I should replace everything, etc, that I have had on the past. I might sound like a commercial, but if you have a plumbing, electrical, or hvac need, there is one place to call.

I bought 2 A/C units and had my heating system replaced as well. Accent was helpful at first, but that quickly declined during the two month saga of installing my heating and cooling system. They required 8 trips to my house which made me use 7 days vacation.

Day 1. Installed some of the system, but couldn't finish because they brought the wrong units.
Day 2. Finished 75% of the work. A/C units working. Roofer not available to install heating
Day 3. A/C unit no longer working, technician sent to find root cause.
Day 4. Fix problem with A/C. Again roofer cancels
Day 5. System Completed.
Day 6. Inspector scheduled for visit - NO SHOW
Day 7. Inspector shows up, states the gas was never turned on.
Trip 8 (after work). Technician turns gas on and tests the systems. System Complete...for now.

I would recommend holding the payments until the system is fully inspected and functioning properly. Also make sure you have a plethora of vacation days since they only come during weekdays. If you factor in the 7 days i needed to stay home (@30/hour) that is an additional $1680 spent.

My mother is trying to sell her house and her upstairs unit goes out this past weekend. She is in a panic. Called Accent and Frank Jr. had a tech out at 8am the next day. While it was a more complicated fix than we anticipated, they found a very cost effective solution!! Great company! Have dealt with them for years and will continue to do so!!

Accent comfort services does the bulk of their business through home warranty companies. Their customer service is very poor since they know their clientele doesn't choose them, rather the warranty companies funnel them to them. They pay to play the warranty companies and rely on their customers not coming to them by choice but by circumstance. If you are paying cash, please look for a smaller local company where they will value your business.

This was the most honest encounter I have had with an HVAC service company in my twenty three years in Charlotte. The repair that I needed was priced fairly and the tech put in the right amount of time checking out my three units.

We use Accent comfort services to keep our aging heating and cooling units running great. There guys are professional, knowledgeable and there maintenance plans are a must for anyone with old units like ours.

I don't normally do reviews but we needed oro air fixed they said replacing a coil would do it but after asking for half the total cost in a deposit and my fiancee asking for a email, contract, or receipt that they would give after the job was done and wouldn't even give an appointment until deposit was paid I called the home warranty to tell them we need something from them before paying $260 and after being on hold a bit I was told they will no longer work with us leaving me, my fiancee, my four year old, and my fiancee disabled mother with ac for much longer. When she posted on there Facebook the response she got was them telling her she misunderstood or what she said isn't true pretty much calling her and me liars instead of apologizing and saying if we do business again it won't happen again or being even partly professional. Go with them at your own risk

To start off it took 8 days before the company could send anyone.
The technician seemed to be in a rush to finish as soon as he arrived, was possibly here and gone within half an hour. Honestly not sure if he fixed the root cause of the issue or even cared to dig any deeper than the surface.
Never looked at a thing in the attic, went outside to check the sub-coolant. Seen it was lower than it should be, then filled it up. Turned on the AC unit (after being off for 24 hours as requested by the company) then felt the air coming out with the back of his hand claiming it was now much cooler than before. Its 85 degrees in the house anything half working will be cooler than this. Also how would he know what it was like before because the unit has been off for 24 hours during a 90 degree day.
In conclusion, I am very dissapointed with the service I received. I have a feeling he did not fix the issue at hand, but simply made me wait 8 days to gave me advil for a gushing wound.

Accent Comfort recently put in a new Hvac system for my family. They installed all of the air handling equipment in the crawlspace BACKWARDS. Hot air blowing out of the intake vents and sucking air through the floor vents. Customer service was EXTREMELY RUDE. Accent finally fixed the problem NINE DAYS after I first brought it to their attention. Use anybody else.

I've known one of their partners for 4 years now, and he is extremely reliable and trustworthy in an industry where that isn't always the case. They are professional in every sense of the word, and my first and only choice when I need service or need to refer someone to an A/C, Heating, and Plumbing service.

They we're fair, honest and did excellent work. I would use them in the future. They coordinated with a mold company to take care of a large issue in our crawl space. They took the time to explain everything and priced accordingly. Excellent customer service.

It is very rare that I would need to write a negative review. Quite frankly, if I could give a zero rating I would. This company should not be anyone's first choice. You will have to deal with dishonest and discourteous personnel. They operate, in all aspects of the job, to what is convenient to them.
Customer service is not their strong suit so if your time is valuable to you, find a more customer friendly company (who thinks of the customers concerns, before their own, first).

The guys that quote the work know their stuff. The folks in the office are incompetent. Read the reviews...I could echo almost all of the frustrations voiced in one star reviews regarding the front office. We're dealing with the same people and having the same problems. I decided to go around the front office and contacted the estimators directly. They took care of everything. Communication and reliability immediately improved. Work was done as advertised and it looks good.

My home warranty company referred them to me. It took them a week to send someone to my house for issues w 2 toilets. They arrived on Monday and today is Wednesday and the one toilet that was supposed to be fixed is now not working as previously reported. When the plumber was here he only removed the lid .. Twisted the canister in place and told me that was all that was needed. The other toilet had a cracked tank but he did not have one on truck that fit so did nothing with that one. So today ... I am back to having 2 toilets that do not work and I paid the $75.00 service fee. What a rip off!

First of all...I own a Real Estate Company....I'm not naieve when it comes to home issues. This company was contracted by Old Republic home warranty to fix a clogged tub for our residence. The service guy didn't even look at pipes closely and said it was a bad plumbing design with our pipes that caused the water to back up...And that we'll probably have to knock out some plaster walls. I questioned him on it....Because I can't imagine 60 years of owners being oK with standing in 4 inches of water during every shower....But he stood his ground. So im Pregnant....And we stood in Muck taking showers for 4 months to save money believing this guy's diagnosis and believing it was going to be a huge job knocking out plaster walls to get to pipes.........We finally hired roto rooter who knocked a huge CLOG right out of our pipes!!! Easy fix! Accent comfort services was either trying to cover for the warranty company so they could decline my claim...Which they did...Even though clogs are covered!! or...he didn't know what he was doing!! This guy is UNETHICAL and / or doesn't know how to do their job. Do not Call them!

Dylan came to fix a water heater and did an excellent job. He was extremely professional and took the time to explain the issue. I would definitely recommend Accent and Dylan especially.

I would NOT recommend this company! Was referred to them by our home warranty company to fix an AC unit that was not cooling. They fixed it initially (said some insulation had fallen on the coil and froze it up so they removed the insulation). It went out again less than two weeks later. They came out and this time said that our compressor was bad and that they would order the part and call the following business day with a time to come back out. THREE days later I had to call them. The woman told me she was unable to get any information from the technician because he hadn't called her...FOR THREE DAYS!!!! Called the home warranty company and got them to send out a different contractor. This company is incompetent and their follow up service is non-existent!

Called this outfit to schedule a repair/replace on an AC unit. The call center that this company uses had a rep (Donna) who was rude and had the phone-side manners of a robot. Actually, that's not true. Robots can be programmed to be nice to their customers. This lady, bless her heart, kept trying to get off of the phone - which makes it impossible to schedule a tech to come out to our home. To be fair, I don't know if the company does a good job with HVAC or other services, but they get a one star rating until they pay closer attention to the company fielding calls for them. I just wanted to find a scheduled time that would work to fix our home which has had 88degree kids bedrooms for the past week. I don't have an emoticon to express how the lady treated me.

These are the worst people I have ever dealt with. They are rude and so unprofessional. Only reason they were called for the job is because my home warranty sent them. They came out once to repair leak and when I notice the water was still coming from under the house they said I didnt notice the sewage line had a crack, yet told my insurance company that the crack was there for more than 2 month, yet if the sewage line was leaking, they would of smelled it. He just did not want to do the work. I would never recommend them to anyone. Horrible horrible service

The office staff was very helpful and provided multiple options to fit my needs. The Service Tech was on time, friendly, respectful, professional, and helpful. He explained everything to me and left no mess. I could not have asked for a better experience!

Dispatched through home warranty company to repair A/C blower motor and control board. Work was done well, techs (required 2 visits, one on a Saturday after rescheduling Friday appointment) were on time and polite.

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I think they have great customer service on their phone lines.The first man that came out to my house said there was a leaky valve and he replaced it. That didn't fix the problem so I called them back out. The second guy said there was nothing wrong with the machine. I called them again and he called me to say he was going to come out and drain the Freon, blow out the lines and refill the Freon. The third technician that came to my house was incredibly rude and not courteous. He basically said there was nothing wrong with my air conditioner. I asked what is causing it to freeze up and he proceeded with, I don't know what to tell ya. I told him what the second guy said and he said he wasn't going to do that because there wasn't a restriction. Ok, so how do I find out what is causing it. He says, I don't know. Then, he said it was overfilled with Freon ( which was recently filled by the same company) and he couldn't get it out. I said ok, well I guess I don't know what else to say. He said yeah, ok well you are blocking me so I need out..... You are an air conditioning company....my air is freezing... you cannot tell me why???? Then, why should I use this company?? Your main job is to tell me what is wrong with my machine and fix it... This problem was unresolved and I am now out 100 dollars. Incredibly wrong.

Worst Possible Service. Came out 3 times to repair our air conditioner and still not fixed. Talked to Frank and he has now refused to send out another repair person. Meanwhile our nearly 80 year old mother is without air conditioning. These guys are impossible to work with and lie. Stay far away from these guys.

One of their trucks nearly hit me when in a double right turn lane at 485 & 16N, they crossed into my lane without regard for safe driving. I tried to call the company and the number does not work. Goes straight to a voicemail that says it's not been setup. Shabby way to do business and unsafe drivers.

Customer service is a failure. They gave me an appointment one week and I told them it was not a convenient time. They rescheduled a week later (no problem - not an emergency). I was told my window was 8-12 am. Called the day before the appt to say my window was 4-6pm - I couldn't be there. They insisted they never gave me a different time; the person who said this was the same one who made the 8-12am appt. bc I recognized her voice.

Referred by home warranty company.Claim was in emergency status due to heat index. Took 4 days for them to get out and another 2 days before they sent diagnosis to warranty company. When they finally got around to providing the info to warranty company it conflicted with what I was told from the tech that came out. Warranty was denied based on info they provided. Personally paid for a second opinion and denial has since been reversed. Customer service is non existent. Would NOT use again. Also filed provider service complaint with warranty company.

Was told a diagnostic fee of $69 would be the only cost to check out the unit. Spent 30 min to find a loose wire and charged me $181. I don’t like spending money without being asked if I want to spend it.

My home warranty company sent this company for a pipe leak. This was for a leaking pipe from ceiling. They scheduled it for Friday afternoon. The guy came in saying he didn't want to work on Friday. He opened it up and complained about everything. I tried to help. He went to the car to get parts and never came back inside. When I went outside to check he said, they don't work on poly pipes.. come on.. big company like this... He didn't even bother to clean up any mess he left. I paid the trip fee and he left. Pipe is still leaking and the room is a mess with sheet rock and insulation.. Would not recommend this company.

Not a good experience at all. The people calling and setting up appointments were rude. When the plumber got to my house, he got my order mixed up with another and fixed the wrong item! I will never use them again.

Over priced
Customer service was rude and unprofessional. They are charing me 650 dollars to change a water heater and that does not include the actual water heater.
There service technicians are dirty and unprofessional.
Do not call this company.

Heater died. Accent fixed it for $765. Then it died again 2 weeks later. They claimed the exchanger was bad and now it needed a whole new heater for $3181. They offered $325 credit. Not happy.

We had a clogged toilet that was really bad...enough said. Trey came out within 24 hours and got us cleared ! Thank you so much for great work!
