My sump pump went out called them at 645 this morning. They were here at 1145 and installed a new pump and were done by 1230. John did a great job, This is the second time i have used them in the 5 years I have owned my house.

Our basement flooded and Wel Don was here within 3 hours despite being busy with a lot of jobs because of heavy rains recently. Joe diagnosed the problem immediately (a faulty sump pump) and installed a new one within 30 minutes. He quoted me the price before starting and I figured that was before labor costs. Nope! Time came to pay and quoted price was the total for the pump AND the labor. WAY less than the national average for sump pumps. Less than an hour and our problem was fixed. Highly recommend!!

Quick, professional, honest. On two separate occasions they have been there within the hour with opinions you can trust and transparent pricing.

Fast, prompt, and got my furnace running for the winter ahead on short notice. All components in the problem path were checked throughly before coming with a proven diagnosis and getting the part. I got to clearly see all of the work and come to the same conclusions --but without having to do all the work. I guarantee it would have taken me much longer to figure even as a former commercial ASHRAE certified technician. Wel-Don (well done)!!!

I am surprised that this company remains in business. Their technicians love to schedule appointments with you directly, then perform a no call and no show. You rinse and repeat this cycle a few times before you get frustrated and call the main company office. This is where it becomes more interesting. The office manager will proceed to yell at you and claim that you are lying about what has happened so far. Note: This is all before you ever get to have a technician arrive and before you problem can be resolved.

It has taken five (5) days worth of runarounds, constant lies, being yelled at several times, and several days worth of time off from work with no technician and the flooding within the premise continuing. Save yourself countless hours - no days - worth of hassle and find a firm that actually cares and respects their customers and one that will be interested and timely in solving your issues.

We had a sewer line replacement done in June, which we were initially pleased with. When they dug up our yard and installed this access pipe we were told that they would come back in a few months after the dirt had time to settle to level it back out and trim the pipe to ground level. We contacted them in September to come back and have this taken care of. We’ve reached out multiple times over the past 3 months for them to do this, and we are still waiting to hear back from the plumber. Are we being pushed off because you already got our money (several thousand $$) and now you don’t want to finish the job? Are we just gonna be stuck with this eye sore in our yard???

On time and they don't try to rip you off!

Main drain was clogged. Plumber came and left a huge mess. The machine he used he didn't put a tarp down so carpet was soaking wet when he left and leaving wet tracks all over the carpet on his way out. $135 later drain is unclogged but left more of a mess than I had with a clogged drain. Definitely would NOT recommend.

Thanks to this company I will not face jackhammering 3 rooms to replace pipe lines to my septic tank. A clog was found by rotor rooter that they were unable to loosen. Called Wel-Don on recommendation from Elite repair and services. They were able to see and photograph what was a piece of recently replaced floor but unable to auger it out. On the verge of leaving scoped a relief valve and with a flush was able to see and grab the floor piece, saving me thousands of dollars.
Much more than happy with this company and highly recommend them!

This company arrived initially and told us that they would have to come back the next day, they needed the proper tools for the issue. The next morning Dustin and John arrived and immediately got to work. Realizing that one of their snakes was not strong enough to open up my drain they grabbed it a stronger one and they had the drain open in less than an hour. When asking questions to either technicians both answered to the best of their ability and in my opinion we're very professional and had a wealth of knowledge. My family and I had been dealing with this for over 3 weeks so we were appreciative of them coming out and taking care of the issue. I definitely would refer this company to anyone asking.

Had cleaned out main line of plumbing. Dec ... said it was past 60 day warranty there’s nothing they could do. I had been having this issue for a month after they had cleaned out the main line. Basically they were just like they can send some one out and I would have to pay the 190 (estimate) again.

Honest and priced fairly.

Plumber came over to unclog our basement washer drain and fix a leak in our shower. Walk through our house with muddy boots leaving foot prints on our carpet. Didn’t clean up the mess from unclogging our drain, we have to clean it up. The plumber then fixed our leak in our shower but some how changed our hot setting to cold and our cold setting to cold. Even through he switched our hot and cold setting in our shower he still charge us $200 for his services. The plumber was very unprofessional and I would not recommend this company.

I am an investor with many rental properties in the Kansas City area. I have been using Wel-Don for many years. Apparently, they have new owners, and the quality of work has suffered greatly. I have had them out several times on the same home to clear the main drain to the street. Today I had them out again for the same reason and they finally were able to clear the drain. The tech stated most plumbing companies won't run a snake all the way to the street because they're afraid of getting their snake hung up on the main sewer line. Apparently, my problem was tree roots right at the city's sewer line. Not only did they not clear the issue many calls previously, but they charged me $165 per call. In addition, today they wanted immediate payment upon completion stating they had a new system in place.

I have used this company many times without a single problem. They are cheaper than any other plumber I have ever used but the work is very good quality. No, they do not always have the parts on their truck, but they have saved me money and time by telling me what parts to buy myself. (New faucet, toilet valve shutoff). They always come out the same day, call when they are on the way.

These plumbers did not wear a mask into our home or even bring masks and ask about wearing them! They are doing all kinds of house calls and refusing to take the basic health and safety precautions that are required in all of Kansas City. Furthermore, they didn't have the correct tools for the job and had to draw out the work. I could have excused that but I am awfully upset that they put our household at risk today without a second thought.

Unprofessional, terrible service, unreliable! I attempted to use this company 3 different times. I will never bother with them again, or recommend them to anyone. They no-showed two separate times, without even calling. This is after they requested I call and remind them of my appointment! The time they actually arrived, they brought no tools inside, said they could not fix the sink clog, and left. Very disappointing as I waited all day for them. Would give them zero stars if the computer would let me.

They were highly recommended too us. I cannot comment on the level of work they perform, because my husband left a message and they never bothered to return his call. That's why it's one star. Fortunately, we did get our pipes fixed.

I first called Roto Rooter. That tech couldn't do the job. I needed someone fast and Wel-Don got there and the tech was able to do what Roto Rooter couldn't. And the price was very reasonable. Thank you Wel-Don!!!

Have used for years their plumbers a friendly and knowledgeable they are better than fair on price for the jobs that they have done for me.

Showed up 7 hours late then left without fixing issue or turning water back on. Leaving an entire neighborhood without water all day and night. Didn't even seem to feel bad about it.

I had to keep calling them to see when they were coming out to do the repairs. Shouldn't have to do that.

They knew the sewer system. Another big name came out and decided the whole thing needed to be dug up. Street and all. Wel-Don knew the clog was beyond the capabilities of the big boys. They brought in huge machine that was able to reach the roots at approximately 135’ out. We’re good here.

These are absolutely the guys to call if you don't mind sewage leaking heavily into your basement while they do the repairs. Even after they were shown the leak beforehand. And then leaves without cleaning up.
Got the snake stuck in the toilet and then had to borrow our shop vac to drain the toilet before pulling it. So he would've let toilet water go everywhere. And then he pulled the toilet and set it in the bathtub that was just professionally painted on a remodel to this bathroom 2 weeks ago. Which he also knew.
Seriously people... WTH!!

This place is horrible!!!!! 4 hrs late and never even called. Wife called only to find out that they were not coming because the techs ( if you want to call him that) wife has covid. In the past these guys have shown up looking like drug addicts with no masks, no shoe covers and no professionalism what so ever.

Well Done has helped me out several times. From fixing a toilet to a clogged drain. Very reasonable and I feel very comfortable when they come. Quick nice people and priced just right

I had substantial sewer problems and called a different plumbing company because they had a sewer line clean out special. That resulted in no cleaning, reports of a broken line, and an estimate of nearly $10,000 to fix it. Then I called Wel-Don. They charged by the hour, but we're very persistent in cleaning out my sewer line. I had my sewer department out to check the line and they said it was fully clean. Thank you Willie and Matt for your hard work and dedication to getting the job done. You have earned my respect and my future business.

They also provided a ballpark estimate in case I end up needing a replacement in the future. That estimate was nearly 1/4 what the other guys quoted. Trustworthy and honorable.

Very unprofessional. We told them we needed 3 shut off valves replaced before they came. They showed up looked at what we wanted done which they already knew. Then they left to go get parts. What plumber doesn't have parts (valves) on their truck? In the meantime they are charging you for their time to go get the parts you already told them you needed. A total of 3 hours including the over 1 hour it took them to go get 3 shut off valves. Then they didn't even put on new scussions with they valve replacement. And charged an absurd amount of $550.00. This place is a trap. They show up then run off to get parts and charge you an arm and a leg. Would not recommend them to anyone.

Wel-Don is not the glitz and glamour as other companies but, do a job well done w/ fair with pricing. I would call them again!!

They're OK. They're kind of an old fashioned family business, I think, or at least that's how it feels. They unclogged a basement drain and I have no problem with the work. However, they charge a whopping 5% of your bill if you want to use a credit or debit card to pay them and tell you it is the card processing company that charges them. This is tax deductible for businesses and it is bull that they pass it on to their customers. It's also nonstandard practice and they don't have an online pay system. My bill was $100 so it worked out to $5 extra for me. If it was a larger bill I would have refused to pay the up charge and as it is a mandatory $5 tip is a bit much. Your alternative is to mail in a check or have cash ready when they come but I was out of town when the repair happened so it wasn't an option for me.

Contacted Wel-Don late on a Saturday evening to make an appointment on Sunday. The plumber was prompt Sunday as promised. Cleared the main drain and cleaned the area after. Great job!!!

Where do I start. Last night I came home to the main drain in my basement backing up. I called one of the big box name companies and they came out right away. Unfortunately they were not able to clear it so I was told I needed to have them come out today with a camera. A more experienced supervisor arrived this morning and insisted I had a collapsed sewer line without doing anything. I was not ok with his assumptions so I insisted he use the camera. He said he tried and that it was with out a doubt collapsed. Estimate cost to fix it was $4,500-11,000. I was beside myself!!
Using my better judgment and after reading reviews and decided to call Wel-Don. They came out today as well and had the line cleared within minutes. No collapsed pipe, no BS, just honest, fast service. Oh and the final cost..... $90.00 smh. They have my business for life!

I love and trust this company. They are prompt and honest, and do not try to sell you services you do not need. Give them a call you will not be sorry. We use them every time we need plumbing work done.

The only regret that I have is not calling Wel-Don plumbing first!! Would have spared me a nightmare and SCAM FROM THE BIG GUYS. I had a sewer backup into my basement. I called the big name company that had replaced that same drain under home warranty several months prior. They charged me $250 as it was Sunday and came out to auger the main line as it was a blockage outside the house. They got the water to drain but then got stuck a foot later and couldnt get further after about 10 min of effort. The blockage was under the road so they located and marked it and send a camera guy who tells me to call the city as its something bad and i would more than likely have to dig it out myself. City comes out and cameras on their side and says its a 3 foot section of tree roots and it would take more than 10 min of effort to get through but should come out. I made the plumber come back out, 5 min in he tells me it wont go through and I would need to dig out and cut the line or do a chain cutter clean out for $1200 more! He refused to try any further. I called Wel-don plumbing, they charged me $90 an hour and said they would go as long as there was progress and I would pay for! Matt showed up already with a better super positive I CAN DO attitude and a bigger auger and told me, watch me, i'll get that out with a promising smile after I told him the 3 days of drama. Within 15 minute he had busted through the blockage and cleared the line twice! $90 and 15 minutes later it was DONE! Now to get the refund from the dirty over charging liars! Wel-Don, thank you for being honest and helping me in this situation! Sleepless nights could have been avoided by calling you first!!

Scheduled two different appts. No show and no call to both. Absolutely ridiculous. No way to run a business, would never use or recommend. Called them the first day. Text their employee no response. Called the office the next week and booked two different days. They wouldn’t give me a specific time just said to be home. Spent two days at home and still they didn’t show up. Called our prop manager and had them transfer the claim. Very unprofessional, receptionist is clueless about appt and schedule. Owner makes excuses instead of correcting the error. Luckily got a new company and they are on their way the same day, text to confirm appt. Called to confirm details and will be here in ten mins. Run from this company.

Fast and good prices

We were having an issue where our Drains were backing up in the garage.
I called 4 other local plumbers and they were either next week or the end of the month. So I called the main number and told them what was going on and they said there were a few in front of me but they would get here today or tomorrow at the latest. When Dustin arrived he was very courteous and cautious when using his equipment in our garage. I would highly recommend Wel-Don for anyone needing a professional.
