They dug up the pipes in the basement and replaced them. They poured new cement. Also they took away the old pipes and concrete. They were efficient and courteous. I was very satisfied.

Wonderful experience! Paul, my technition was very knowledgeable, and totally got things flowing again. Paul went way beyond my expectations. Had an appointment with another company to help with my basement drain that was flooding my basement. Got the run around and could not guaranty that they could help in 1 day. Cancelled with them and called Mr. Rooter. Paul got things done fast, with quality kind work. Would call this company again. Very pleased!

Would rate 0 stars if I could. Called Monday morning, scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. No one ever showed, no phone call with an update. I called late in the evening and they said they need to reschedule for Tuesday morning. Gave me 4 hour window from 8am-12pm. That came and went as well. Around 3pm, I call another plumber and he comes right out and does the job for $100. Mr Rooter finally calls around 2pm on Wednesday that they can come out...but too bad, already found someone else that actually cares about the customer.

From reading other reviews, I think Mr Rooter did me a favor by not showing up. Definitely call and support your local plumbers instead of a mega corp like Mr Rooter.

We received superior service from the Mr.Rooter team led by Sam. On January 8, 2019, we discovered a flooded basement that required a pump-out AND a new sump pump.. They worked quickly AND efficiently to remove water and install new pump. They were followed by the Flood&Fire Solution team led by Michael...who did excellent clean-up. Mr. Rooter was beyond great! I recently purchased a new home and I was unfortunately was having problems with a toilet leaking and a drain backing up. They came out the same day I called and were able to fix both issues for a reasonable price. The technician was very knowledgeable and even recommended some yearly maintenance that I should do to help prevent future issues. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter!

Their website claims upfront pricing, this is untrue. The technician could not fix or tell me a thing about my plumbing, and didn't even suggest using a camera to find the issue. Not knowledgeable. Also billed for things that were not even done. The tech showed up with what seemed to be a girlfriend in the van and this to me was very unprofessional. Don't bother calling office management. They are of no help and will try to charge you for a second return. Im really hurt by how this company is run. In the end I fixed my own plumbing issue with some help from google.

Richard and Diego were on time, professional and knowledgeable in their trade. They were on site quickly and even though we ran into other issues, they were prepared to handle them and got me open in a timely manner. I certainly recommend them and will use them again when needed.

We had a flooded main drain and after another company had not been able to finish the job, we called Mr. Rooter. Before they came, the water went down(a day after the other company), bit we wanted to make sure the issue was resolved. Mr. Rooter came out, used cameras to view our drain, and said they were good - not needing additional service.
They also recommended what we could use to help maintain the health of our main drain to help prevent future issues.
We would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter. They were professional, courteous and honest.

On November 27th my sewage backup had been cleared by Mr. Rooter. I was excited to be able to wash my clothes, take a shower and flush the toilet without sewage coming up in my basement. However, because the pipes had been cleared so well sewer gas started coming in my house which made it unbearable. I was almost going crazy with the smell it was so potent this happened because whoever did the plumbing before I moved into this house did not put a trap in the basement where the bathtub plumbing should be. that allowed the gases to come in the house and because the roots were no longer in the pipes the gas just seeped into the house. I was in tears on the 30th of November I did not know what to expect or even how this gas was going to get out of my house I had spent quite a bit of money getting my pipes Jetted and was afraid that it might be a bigger problem costing more money that I did not have. I called early in the morning one minute after 8:00 a.m. before 10:00 a.m. there was a knock at the door and my technician PAUL TABB was on the other side of the door looking at him calmed me down what a nice looking man I was frozen like a deer for a second. He came in and listen to me sob and with tears running down my face he look at me and with the most sincere deep and calm voice he told me not to worry he would take care of me and he did he pinpointed the problem which was the missing bathtub trap he also fixed the pipe underneath my wash tub replace my floor drain and stopped up one drain in the floor that did not need to be open and it did not cost me nowhere near what it was worth he really made my day. He treated me more than a customer and I am very grateful shout out to Paul Tab may favor follow you like a shadow.

Had a major issue resolved by Mr. ROOTER this past werk. Completed in a most professional, expedient, and totally acceptable process. Both the service technicians were extremely knowlegeble and courteous throughout the process. Kept us abreast of all stages of the repair process. Upon completion all debris and scrap removed and thoroughly cleaned my location. Many thanks go out to Roy and Joe for a job very, very well done. Definitely ask for these individuals when needed.

When I woke up Sunday morning I found black smelly sludge that backed up from the floor drain in my laundry room. After cleaning and disinfecting the area I called Mr. Rooter Monday morning. Talked to a very nice lady She took my information and said she will try and get someone that day. About 15 minutes after we talked she called back and told me technician #47 Emile was on his way to my house. Emile was very professional explained everything and showed me some options on how to fix my problem. Emile was never pushy and gave me some ideas on to keep my drain from plugging again. We had an emergency plumbing issue happen last Saturday and Mr. Rooter came to the rescue. They were able to get a technician out the following morning. Eric M was fantastic. Doug was the gentlemen that came to help me out at my place of work. We had our drains the overflowed with fecal matter and it was really upsetting our clients and causing a terrible smell. If you have any sort of plumbing problem, your first call should definitely be to Mr Rooter. Ronny fixed a big plumbing problem inside my house and was so kind, courteous, and thoughtful throughout the whole process. He made it his mission to ensure everything was taken care of and I feel very confident in the work he did. I will definitely be going back to Mr Rooter for any future plumbing issues.

Had someone out 3x issue still not solved. told us us we needed a new sump pump and that was not the issue..all I can say is use someone else

CROOKS. You think you’re doing business with Mr Rooter but they contract out your job to another plumber. Came out the first day I called and charged me. Back up again the next day and when I called they said that technician is on vacation and wouldn’t send anyone else. CRIMINALS

Ronnie, who has a winning personality, was superb as he tackled the trap which prevented an unplugging for the water to drain around the perimeter of the house. He had to jack hammer cement to open the spot for removal of part of the pipe. He took extreme care to cover all appliances and immobile objects in the basement where the work had to take place. He clearly explained what he had to do and why and was happy to answer any questions I had. He returned as he said he would to reconnect the wash tub, washer, dryer, and went above and beyond to make the connections better. He left no dirt, cleaned the floor and took all debris and waste. He truly wants to do a good job for the customer.

We were desperate because our hot water heater had completely broken and it too me 3 weeks to have the money to replace it. I called Mr Rooter on Tuesday and Brandon came on Wednesday morning. Gave me an estimate and came back Friday in the morning and put new pipes in and a new hot water heater. Very professional and polite. His estimate was right on. I ordered 3 bottles of BioChoiceES from my local office. I'd been using it, literally, for decades. Usually, it is just dropped off and I pay the bill. My home is old, has two full baths, a tub, and drains in the basement floor. I always followed the directions on the bottle, but only put the fluid in once water in the drain slowed down. This technician asked many questions about how, when, and where I used the product. He suggested a routine that would facilitate better results including using the product once a week, on all drains, at bedtime, and adding 4 ounces of hot water. My expectations were definitely exceeded.

Chris from Mr. Rooter was very knowledgeable when our drain was clogged at a new house. He not only cleared the blockage (which was in a difficult section of pipe to reach), but pulled out the material so we could see what caused it (baby wipes from a previous owner, and small roots which suggested we should have the pipe checked again in the future). A week later a different basement floor drain backed up a little bit, and he returned free of charge to help us find out that it was a separate rain water drainage system unrelated to the sewer, and advised us on what was wrong. Definitely recommend.

The main compliment I can pay to this service is that they were prompt and simple. I called them about a backed up mainline at 10am and by 11am there was a technician at my house. My noon the process was done, my credit card charged, my drains cleared and I only missed about 20 minutes of work.
My one criticism would be that the technician laid out things this problem could be, including the terrifyingly expensive and disruptive possibilities. Fortunately, the actual problem was simple and less than $300 to fix. This is only a minor complaint though, and I suppose that if it had been a more complicated problem, then I would have appreciated the warning.
Overall I recommend them for efficient, speedy service.

Knowledgeable and understanding of work needed to be done

Jason was excellent. He gave us options, made his recommendation, and let us decide. Then he did a great job, cleaned up after himself, and left us with a really good experience and good information for the future.

Technician was great, open and honest about issues and potential solutions.

Called Mr. Rooter for a basement/downstairs walkout sewer line replacement. Mr. Rooter sent a plumber, Mr. E.A. together with his accomplice, of whom I LATER (after the disaster) find out, that it was his FIRST TIME working on such a project. First strike, I go with the large national brands for experience, not a complete newbie.

So, they do the job ok, I'll give them that. Time to clean up and smooth out the cement. He starts grinding. We knew something was wrong, when we saw the giant, impenetrable fine dust cloud BILLOWING out up from the basement. No precautions were set in place. We discover, to our utter dismay, that every inch, every nook and cranny, every last object, piece of furniture, book, surface, everything, is COATED, with a ubiquitous, very fine, gray layer of powdery grime, as if a small Mount St. Helena had erupted all over our entire walk-out. Some of this billowed upstairs, too. A nightmare. We're breathing this stuff in too. The plumber trivialized it as just a little dust. Second strike out.

Finally, the third strike, the cherry on top of this disaster, E.A.'s boss refuses to clean this up. They sent over a pair of Molly Maids, but all they succeeded in doing was move the grime around a bit. The ladies said they had never seen anything like it. We asked for a disaster cleanup team, Mr. Rooter refused.

The aftermath: we ended up throwing away over half of our possessions downstairs. E.A. felt we were overreacting.

All of this to the tune of over $9000.- Never again! My advice: Just because it's a national brand, does NOT mean you are getting quality, or experience. Ask the workers sent out, how many times they have done this specific job before. STAY with them and watch their work. Or better yet, go by word of mouth with your neighbors, instead of this national brand. Terrible experience.

Had a water pipe under the house leaking. My tech that fixed this was Billy Keehn. He was thorough, professional and very much a real people person who was a pleasure to be around. All questions were answered and the job was quickly done. Did not like the situation, but I appreciated the help very much and was grateful for the outcome. Thank you.

Erik was the Technician assigned to this project. We walked the job to understand the problem. He suggested a solution and approximate fee to do the work. I agreed and he found the best path to enter our home. He protected the our oak floors by attaching a covering on the wheels of the clean out machine and also did a fantastic job of keeping the basement area clean while using the auger. He kept me informed throughout the process and showed me the clog of tree and plant roots. He did a great clean up. He was very polite and courteous. Beware. Mr. Rooter will put you on some kind of oncall schedule to come to your house starting immediately. They will NOT make you an appt or abide by instructions to call/come after 9am like a civilized business. The receptionists were rude, hung up on me multiple times and cancelled my service request-after calling way early in morning 12/20/22 while i slept. Horrible customer service and im still left seeking a plumber in Pontiac, MI.

We started having trouble with our sump pump in July. We called Mr Rooter who had installed it for previous owner. They sent Jason who was very friendly, courteous & knowledgeable. He got it running again but told us that we may have similar problem again due to original install when home was built and gave us recommendations of how to correct problem. Two months later the sump pump failed completely & I called and asked for Jason specifically because of his honest & forthright manner. We followed his previous recommendations & had a new pump installed as it was still under manufacture warranty. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter and especially Jason. As a senior citizen, it is extremely important to me to work with companies & technicians with integrity. Thank you for a job well done!

Robert Johnson was our technician and he was great. He was on time, informative and quick to fix our plumbing leaks.

Mike was a great tech. He was very informative and thorough in investigating my problem and in answering my questions. My problem turned out to be simple and pretty easily taken care of, incidentally. So it was kind of a hefty price for the procedure, but I know will absolutely be worth it. Definitely recommended!

I had a 2 yr old water heater drain & flush and a maintenance check, since I just moved in and wanted all to be ok. They did a great job as far as I can tell, since they gave me no sheet actually telling me what they did, other than what I saw, which was to hook up a hose and drain it out. They mentioned no type of warranty either. It took them approx. 30 minutes. The bill was $69 service call $406.71 minus a $50 coupon off equals $425.71. for the total cost. I called Jamie the Mgr. and she said this is corporate prices, and could not do anything else. I just feel that for a so called neighborly, competitive priced company- this cost is way to high !!! $200 would have been more to what would have been fair !!! Very disappointed in there high cost. We had Matt Uyek come out and snake are drain he was very professional. Will definitely will recommend and have them for the future.

Needed a new sump discharge assembly installed. Company was responsive and quickly had a technician come and assist.

Came a day later then they said, we only called them because it was a weekend and our regular plumber wasn't open. He came didn't fix the problem and I feel like we got overcharged and still had the issue. When we were able to get our plumber they were able correctly diagnosis the issue and expertly fix it. Would not recommend.

Keith did a really nice job replacing a faucet and drain that seemed like an impossible task. He was nice and worked quickly and we are really happy he was able to get it done. Highly recommend! Great experience.

**BEWARE ** ** BEWARE. ** I called for a drain cleanout. They showed up and in 2 mins the worker said everything was wrong and he cut the pipes i wanted cleaned out and never did snake any of the pipes in which i hired them for. So instead of a 99 dollar clean out they cut the pipes didnt snake anything out then charged me almost 1300 dollars for a 99 dollar clean out. This company ripped me off and there management backed them. If you do business with this company watch out or you could be ripped off just like me. The job should not have cost more than the 99 dollars job they were suppose to do. Customer beware.

Have needed these folks 3 times in about 18mos and had 3 different techs and they've all been pros. Very personable and knowledgeable. Willing to go the extra mile without rushing and always transparent about what they are doing and why. Never acted like my questions were a bother and in fact all have taught me a little more about how to maintain my home plumbing. What's especially nice is that before tearing my basement apart they helped look for every avenue - including probing for a cleanout with my husband and directing me to check for city permits past- so as to avoid major work if possible. They didn't have to do that and I appreciate it. Steve has been great in taking care of our job. Highly recommened company. Thanks!

NEVER EVER hire this company for sewer issues. 4 hours and $106.50 later I got a diagnosis and a $1080.00 estimate. Two hours and $160 later the entire issue was resolved by another company, who said the recommended hydrojet would have flooded my basement. Run, do not walk from this company! Or swim.

Called to look at a water heater. Instantly claimed that the water heater needed to be replaced including new gas pipes, new water piping, and new duct work. Quoted at $1800. Turns out it was the pilot unit needed to be replaced as a $65 part.

My experience with Mr. Rooter was nothing less than outstanding. The appointment was set up within hours and the service technician, Robert Wiggle, was best I've ever had - he was on time, extremely professional and personable, fixed the problem and was thoughtful by providing several suggestions to prevent future problems. I will contact them again next time without hesitation.

WOW. One word to describe today’s visit would be outstanding. Plumber came through today to fix my main drain clog in my basement because it was backing up. Being the second plumber I had out here I was hoping the problem could be solved. It was unpromising at first, but Jason knew exactly what he was doing. Got the water flowing in no time. Not only that but he was a real straight forward honest dude he explained everything he was going to do and then went at it. He even Gave rough estimates about future repairs. All for under 300$ It was WAYY cheaper than I thought!! LOOK no further than this place give them a call NOW!!

Had an urgent plumbing problem occur early on a sunday morning and Rob W from Mr Rooter showed up that morning and took care of the problem. I was freaking out because I had just moved into the house on the previous Friday night, but Rob W found the problem and got it all sorted out that same day. He was great! The tech was nice but the cost to just replace my kitchen and bathroom faucets, which I bought the exact same brand new, still in the sealed box, was $775. They are standard faucets, not real fancy. Tech said it was going to be a little tougher for him because he was a big guy. I wonder if that was why the price was so high. Of Course I said No Way.

A very professional no nonsense team leader alleviated my concerns from the start. Took care of everything, permits and such. Replaced line from the house crawlspace to the city shutoff. It was a tough job, but there was no crawlspace or jackhammer crying. Gave me the price and did it for that price. My total effort consisted of offering them a bottle of water. Two big thumbs up.

We recently purchased a home in Pontiac in August but have been experiencing plumbing issues since we moved in. It got to the point where we couldn't even flush the toilet once without it backing up on our basement floor! Called Mr. Rooter and got Robert to come out Sunday morning. He was very professional from the start. He went above and beyond my expectations for the job going so far as to snake my main line twice, advised how our piping runs out to the city lines, and even cleaned our lines out to the street! He found out that we had huge roots going through the pipes and used his machines to destroy as much of them as possible! He also gave us a foaming agent that would push out any remaining debris and act as a repellent for tree roots that could keep us clear upwards of 5 years! Robert was very patient, helpful, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process (which he dedicated over 4 hours of his time to) and did an amazing job - I'm all clear! Thank you so much, Rob, and I would most definitely recommend him and Mr. Rooter's services!

I have had reoccurring plumbing issues in my Ypsilanti home. Previously, I have used Roto-Rooter on two different occasions, only to be left with the same problem, while also dealing with their tech's unprofessional attitude and behavior.
Today I decided to try Mr. Rooter, and am VERY happy that I did! Not only did Brian come to my home within hours of my initial call, but he did so during the middle of the covid-19 pandemic. He was professional, courteous, and fixed the problem immediately. He also answered all of my questions, alerted me to the possible issues I will have in the future due to tree roots in my ancient plumbing, and made sure to keep my son and I safe by wearing PPE during the entirety of the time he spent at my home.

We had 95% of our pipes clogged with tree roots. Isaiah showed us with the camera how bad it was. He let us know that our best option would be the water jet with a chemical follow up.
Isaiah always kept us updated on the progress along with video so we had a bird’s eye view.

I initially called because there was what I thought to be a water pressure problem in my kitchen. Isaiah was the technician to come to my home. He was very efficient, professional and knowledgeable about his craft. He found that it was not the pressure but the type of apparatus ( faucet unit)used that was the problem due to calcium buildup. A new quality faucet system was installed and works perfectly. He subsequently did an inspection of the plumbing in the house and found some things that will need to be taken care of and I concur with his assessment and will be setting up an appointment for future services. Again, I highly recommend this technician and this company. Well done!

Very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge that our technician, Paul Tabb, showed while handling what was a repeat service call at our home. We had some drain issues back in May and the tech that had initially come out got the drain unclogged but did not go the distance that Paul did today! I called Mr. Rooter yesterday and explained that we were once again having drain issues and for what we had paid I didn’t feel we should be having any problems. They were extremely friendly and apologetic and said a tech would be sent out within a few hours to take a look and of course at no charge. Tryed to up sell us on a hot water replacement. Said the gas line was not to code and they would not fix it. In the end i got it done i got it done by another compnany for way less and had more fixed then the original offer. Also the gas line was to code in the end.

Original review November 2020: Mr. Jason Andereoni of Mr. Rooter Plumbing came out to clear my recent sewer backup problem (caused by tree root intrusion), and he was awesome! Knowledgeable, professional, and very helpful in both answering my questions and addressing my concerns. My problem is now solved (root was hydrojeted into oblivion, which I saw on the inspection camera), and everything is once more working as it should.

If you have a plumbing problem, I heartily recommend Jason as the man to fix it!

Follow up review May 2022: Jason came out today to video inspect my sewer line to guage rate of root regrowth. Very little regrowth so far, and the line itself still looks good. So happy! Jason is a pleasure to work with.

I went to bed with 2 very blocked sinks. One in kitchen and the other, the bathroom. My neighbor had me call and I’m so happy he did! They sent “ Mike” out. He is young, but I’m sure he is better than any middle age man. I adored him! First of all he cleaned up after himself, but most important, he so knew exactly what to do and explained what had happened. I honestly adored him, he could not have been nicer!

Buyer beware. Pricing is 3 times what other companies charge. I got several quotes. And theirs way overpriced. They also charge $50 just to come out.

Called to get a quote for trenchless sewer relining. Made appointment with woman on phone for a month out on a saturday morning (was told between 10AM and Noon). Day came and no one showed up. Later that night, around 5PM, got a phone call to re-schedule and was then told he only works M-F, then why did they make an appointment on a saturday in the first place? She said she didn't know and would only repeat that when I reminded her she was the one I set the initial appointment with. I told her no thanks, they can't seem to understand what scheduling is

These guys are total professionals, they are on time, courteous, knowledgeable, I had 2 plumbing issues at my house within the last week, both problems were resolved quickly and efficiently. I would like to personally thank Jason for his hard work, it was a very confined area to work in but he go it done.

Ordered service and was given a time. Nobody showed up and when I call to inquire I am put on hold for 3 min then given nothing but attitude and told We can come in the AM. I had someone stay home for the day just for this job and then they want me to have someone else stay another day I don't think that is a way to do business you could at least apologize but that didn't happen either. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

This is my 2nd time using Mr Rooter and both service calls were professional and could see me the same day. They put me at ease and I did not have 'sticker shock'. I would reccommend to anyone.

Their quote for a sewer repair was way overpriced, after discussing it with 2 other local plumbing companies, I was told they are a predatory company, own 2 other plumbing services in the area, and push and refer from one another. I had another company come out and give me a FULL replacement estimate for the same price Mr. Rooter wanted to install a cleanout and flush the line.

I am appalled at the level of gauging this company wanted to do to someone in a pinch. I am so glad I got a second opinion.

Ultimately, if you are looking pay way over what it should be, and get over charged for minimal work, then by all means. Give them a call.

My sewer line was plugged and backing up through a basement drain so I called them for a water jetting and camera inspection. When Joe arrived he quoted $271.68 for both and I agreed but he said he had to run a snake through first to clear blockage for the camera. During snaking he said my sewer line was broken and that it would have to be replaced @ $4000.00 and that he could not continue snaking at the clean out trap, I told him to run the snake at the basement drain and he reluctantly did. That took care of the problem but I believe he didn't want to clear the line so that he could sell me a $4000.00 line replacement. Originally I wanted a water jetting (a more thorough cleaning than snaking) and camera inspection but since the line was clear he refused but applied a $50.00 coupon. $221.68 for a snake job?. At this point I just wanted him gone! Anyway I went and bought a sewer camera and checked the line myself and found no broken areas at all but did find a paper blockage with a small hole punched in it. I have since ordered a water jetting hose that attaches to a power washer (cloghog) and will do the jetting myself. Granted, I have paid close to $500.00 for all this equipment including the snaking bill but I plan on clearing my mothers slow sewer line and friends/neighbors lines if they have problems in the future. My main gripe with Mr. Rooter is the fact that they tried to sell me on a expensive and unnecessary repair and charged $220 for a $100.00 snake job. Lesson learned!

Mr. Rooter sent out Mr. Riggs to come take a look at our sewage pump on Sunday. After inspecting our pump he determined we needed a new one. He was very helpful and said the pump we had installed a few years prior more than likely had a warranty still on it. Monday morning I called the manufacturer and they confirmed it was still under warranty. Riggs came back out on Monday and installed a new pump quickly and efficiently. I would recommend Mr. Rooter to anyone and to ask for plumber Riggs!

Last Saturday afternoon noticed water backing up in my basement. After calling several companies Mr. Rooter Plumbing was the only company to answer and respond. The plumber was at my home within a couple hours, Mike D. was professional and very helpful in determining the corrective action. Mike D. explained what needed to be done and the cost plus what the next steps would be. He was quick and efficient. After using the camera and determining Hydo flash was needed he called Diego who came within 20 minutes with the machine and they both completed the job. Excellent customer service and quick service!

Forrest Burroughs from Mr. Rooter was a Godsend to my family a couple of weeks ago when we got that unprecedented rain. My sump pump broke, and it was shooting water everywhere. He got to my house in less than an hour when he heard it was an emergency. He installed a new unit, and came back today (free of charge) to make certain the pump was functioning as required. I'll start off by saying my technician was very friendly and went above what I asked of him. However, it cost me about $150 for them to plunge my drain. Pretty bummed about spending so much for something so small, and I had been warned by multiple people to not use this company. Also, I actually had it scheduled for yesterday and they never showed up so I had to call and reschedule that. Overall, not impressed and won't be a returning customer.

Will say I don't blame the company I blame the driver. I was sitting in my vehicle when he arrived with tinted windows. He couldn't see me but I saw him. He tapped on the door, not knock and immediately turned to walk away. Wife answered door told him to go to side to avoid dogs He went in basement for all of 2 seconds and said it would be $324. And had to remove water and some boxes near drain before he could come back and do job, that had been waiting 5 days for the present appointment. I did nothing he said called another plumber and they did the job no problem for a fraction of the cost. One bad plumber has made me never want to use Mr.Rooter again after being only company to ever service my home since I've lived here.

During our service we were supposed to get an estimate as well as the clean out, but the individual did not have adequate knowledge to provide a quote (not his fault at all!). When we called Mr. Rooter to schedule someone else to come out that would be able to provide us a cost estimate they wanted to charge us another service fee for them to come out again. We politely declined as we already paid the service fee once for Mr. Ritter to send someone who was not able to provide the service.

They are way to corporate and not customer oriented.

Jason came out and did an excellent job clearing the sewer. He was very knowledgeable and let us know step-by-step what he was doing and what we should expect. He also was very informative, and offered solutions/preventative actions we should take to prevent a reoccurrence. I would recommend Jason & Mr. Rooter for anyone that needs sewer repairs.

Was the technician that came out to my construction site he was able to unclog the tree roots that were in a old clay tile pipe also when he used the camera he recorded the video on my cell phone to use as proof to the City inspector that the sewer was cleared, this way I could pass my city inspection, he explained to me that he needed to Jet the system a second time where he would need to refill his tank with water and come back again he was very Professional and did an excellent job for me

I do not know about there service but I was driving on 23 mile road & Hayes and one of the drivers was driving in middle lane trying trying to get over. I had my blinker on because I needed to use the middle lane to make a left hand turn and he was coming up to my behind me. He then instead of stopping he hit his gas almost hit me then honk and gave me the finger. If there service is as bad as there driving I would not use this company

Terrible service. The guy came to unclog my drain and told me I need $5000 worth of repairs. He so called snakes my drain, The next day it was still clogged. I paid almost $400 for a job that was not done. Got a second opinion from other place, they told me I needed no repairs and that Mr. Rooter stole my money cause they did not clean me drain. The new place cleaned my drain and gave me free solution for my drain for a cheaper price. Do not go with this place they will take your money or the person I had did a lazy job. Plus Mr. Rooter offer a 30 day warranty, the other company I went with gave 6 months. Plus the guy for Mr. Rooter was unprofessional. So I lost $400.

I had Mr Rooter try to clear a plugged drain. They ended up hydro-jetting it followed by a camera inspection. I was told the cast iron pipes were severely corroded and cracked open. I was given an estimate to replace them for $20,000. This cost me $1687, got no warranty, and the pipe plugged up again in 4 weeks. Not to mention that my basement was left with considerable sewage on the floor that took me an entire day to clean up. I then had a master plumber come out to clean the pipe and give me an estimate for repairs. His camera inspection revealed my pipes to be in excellent condition. Wow! He also hydro jetted my pipes. This time it was done properly and my drains are now working like brand new. I requested a refund from Mr Rooter but they blew me off. I will never ever use Mr Rooter again

Had two appointment times canceled in consecutive days. The first day they called to cancel at 7pm for a 5 to 8 appointment time. The second day they did not call. When I called at 10 minutes to 8 I was told they were too busy today and would not be able to make it.

I called Mr Rooter because i had a backed up kitchen sink that had caused a flood in my kitchen. I thought that insurance would cover the cost and that may be why i was charged such an exorbitant price being that they were aware of that. Which later I found out that insurance would not cover the cost of snaking the drain. A technician came out within 45 minutes during business hours I might add. I was charged $271 for the drain clearing. If it was based on hourly I wasn’t told and because I was in an emergency situation I didn’t ask. I feel the technician filled up the sink and drained it many more times then necessary. To add time? I don’t know. My mother who was here with me and has more experience with these things commented several times that she couldn’t believe he was still here! I have since called other plumbers and was told $100 to do the job Mr Rooter did for $271. I would call someone else next time...

Technician Mike is unprofessional, dishonest, and bad at his job. After he left, we noticed a leak in the basement near the main shut-off and that water was no longer routing through our water softener. I gave him a call and asked if he could tell me which valves he turned on or off so that I could troubleshoot which had been (what I thought accidentally) been turned on or off. He immediately became belligerent and denied touching anything. Not true, as we found out later from hiring a different plumber, he actually broke the valve which prevented the water from going through the softener completely. The manager at the office will not even return our calls regarding this. Use this company if you want to flush $400 down the drain!

Pricey but good work. The plumber they sent out wanted to make sure everything was perfect. Also there water jet system makes them the only guys that will root drainage tile.

George was very professional and personable, I felt very comfortable having him in my home - he was very cautious of all the wood finish work that would clean out access is hidden in. They were very thorough in ensuring that they had removed every root in the main line and I was able to observe the video feed the entire time. Very very cool. Had a Technician Scotty come out to our house due to tree roots/flooding. Was very friendly, and communicative. Had a different company tell us we had a huge crack in our pipe. Scotty told us there wasnt any way that dude could know that unless he hydro jetted. We have a giant tree practically on top of the pipe. Showed us the camera and everything. He did the job and turns out there was a hairline fracture but nothing catastrophic. Very cool dude, and would recommend.

Over Charged BIG TIME.
1- I needed a toilet that was leaking to be fixed, a new vanity/sink installed, and my kitchen sink pee trap was having an issue.
2- Was originally quoted $1,500. When I said that was to much, he had a coupon in his truck for $100 off. That still wasn't a good price. He then called his boss and got the price lowered to $1,100.
3- I told him I'd consider the offer, but needed to call around for other offers.
4- Called another local plumber, and only cost me $240.

Mr. Rooter needs to rethink how they do business. I feel sorry for any business that has dealt with them.

Mr. Paul Tabb did an excellent job on the the installation of hardware. He is a professional, and an artist of plumbing with great attention to detail and cleanliness. I am glad he was assigned to work for us and I will ask for his services the next time we need work done.

Had Mr Rooter our, charged me $150 for the attempt to unclog the kitchen. Gave a $1000 quote to unclog through the roof. Nice guy but $700 over priced. Contacted a local plumber it was 3/10 the price. I wish I would have called the local plumber before we spent the entire weekend trying to fix it!

Hired them to unclog the main line, when they give me the expensive price I accept because they said they guarantee the work for 180 days, after they do the job and I pay, they send me the payment receipt and I check that all of the sudden he changed the guarantee to just 30 days.
I’m never gonna call them again.

Was super expensive. The plumber was nice. The office people gave me the run around when I needed an itemized receipt. For 3 weeks they said they were going to email it to me. Then they said they only charge a flat rate and can only give an itemized receipt to the insurance company? How can you give insurance a Itemized receipt if you only charge a flat rate?? Even though I paid over $2000 cash???. They won’t give a breakdown?? Seems shady... then they gave me several different names for the owner because they won’t give me the owners name. So who are you owner and why are hiding??? I need lots of plumbing in the near future and I won’t be wasting another dollar at Mr. Rooter!!!! And I only gave you one star because you’re Plumber was nice.

We had a water backup in our basement pipes this weekend. We called Mr. Rooter in Macomb and Amanda had One of their service reps here by the end of the day. Steve was very knowledgeable and super friendly. He had our pipes cleared in short order. I was very impressed with their responsiveness and Steve was a great guy. Thanks Mr. Rooter for clearing out basement and your excellent service. I will be sure to recommend to anyone who has a similar issue.

Sloppy company. Called first time and waiting for them to arrive on the 4 hour scheduled block. Never showed up!
Second time I waiting 3 hours and then called and they said they can’t make it today and wanted to reschedule!

It seems like they want to book everyone they can even if they over book themselves. The customer ends up paying the price!

Had small flooding issues in our basement. Mr Rooter came the next day and found cracks in our pipe. Very speedy service once we got in contact with our insurance company. Mr Rooter came with a quickness and repaired our pipes. Very friendly, very knowledgeable, very professional. Wonderful service!!

We have been having this problem for years and this is the first time we feel that we got real answers. My technician Roy was a true professional. Came to snake my drain and discovered a rotted line during camera inspection. I had other companies come out to quote the job to make sure price was fair and it absolutely was. Roy went above and beyond by giving me tips to fix other small issues he noticed with my plumbing instead of trying to sell me on hiring himself for the work at a greater cost. Even the woman I spoke with on the phone from the office was very polite and professional. Overall made a negative situation as positive as possible and had everything fixed in a day with a lifetime warranty.

Would like to give 0 stars. Would never use this company again. Came out once due to a flooded basement. Snaked the drain, but left while there was still flooding. Charged $330! Less than two weeks later, same thing. Flooded basement. Called again. After some arguing, they came back out to snake again, free of charge, but told us the problem couldn't be fully fixed until spring and would cost over $1000. Flooded basement with absolutely no draining again three weeks later. We called Dependable. Charged us $80, fixed the problem completely, AND they guarantee their work. Gee, I wonder who will get our business for future problems... Definitely won't be Mr. Rooter. Such a scam.

I used mr rooter to unclog the main sewer line from the house. Water was backing up in the basement. The tech Cody was here within 45 minutes. Got everything fixed up in less than an hour and we are good to go. Cody is very professional and has a great attitude. I will be using mr rooter in the future if needed. Great service and very reasonable cost.

I forget the name of the guy who helped me but he was great, I had a complete blockage of my pipe going to the septic tank. It was a difficult snake as I dont have an access but dumb luck went in our favor on the 13th try. I will use them for all of my future needs. I'm very happy with the service.

Joe, Diego and James came to our home to reroute our sump line. These men worked diligently in heat, humidity and rain to complete our job. They were given a difficult task and even had to deal with misinformation but they persevered and completed our job well and with a high level of professionalism. I cannot recommend these men enough.

They recently put in a new kitchen line and clean out for us and I’ve had them snake my sinks multiple times. I’m a lifetime member and it’s been one of the best home purchases I’ve ever made as my house is older and needs a lot of plumbing help. It’s refreshing to be able to trust a service person when you need something repaired. Will of Mr Rooter is that type of serviceman. He came out to help us with the gas line to our fireplace to get it working again. Will fixed our problem. He has repaired our bathroom sinks and installed a shut off valve to our water line in the past. Will has that overall knowledge to give us advice on what is best for our house and needs. My wife was impressed with his work, and now that I’ve met him I’m impressed with his work too!

I just wanted to share that I was extremely happy with the service from Mr Rooter and Paul (300 I believe he said his # was) was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what he was doing and answered all my questions. He also gave me recommendations which I really appreciated and explained why they would be something I should think about. They also came out same day which was amazing. No one else I called was able to accommodate that....especially on a Sunday during the Holiday! Thank you for such great service!!

The sewer work was handled in a professional manner. Water lines and drains were replaced With the latest material. All workers were couterius and knolagable.

Would not give a quote over the phone, about replacing my sump pump. Guy shows up, says it'll be $500 (plus $240 for parts). He says it would be $550, but he's giving me a discount. I tell him that is too much, I'm going with someone else. He says how about $400? What the $%#* , what kind of racket is this? I'm in a bind though (and they know it), so I accept. Job took him 45 minutes. I'm in the wrong business.....
