I used Motor City Plumbing twice this year. They are very professional and responsive. I had them hydro jet my sewer line due to sewer issues and they also fixed my broken pipes. I highly recommend their business!

After numerous attempts to unclog the double sink in my kitchen for several days, we called Motor City and they came out the same day! Ben and Josh were polite and efficient and worked about 1/2 hour to unclog the drain. Thanks Ben and Josh!

Mike from Motor City was incredible. He was at my house within an hour of me calling for an estimate, and was available the next week to completely renovate my bathroom. It took him two days by himself to break up the floor, repipe everything, and add in a new vanity and toilet. He even offered a military discount because he saw uniforms hanging when he didn't need to say anything. He is a hard worker and did an amazing job for a great price. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

**Update: Greg and Mike came out and fixed my shower that had stopped draining completely. They were so nice and made me feel comfortable and like they had my best interest at heart. Hard workers who are trustworthy and do great work!!

I called for an appointment yesterday, they came today and as I sit here right now everything I needed fixed is FIXED. Tim replaced a toilet that had decided it wasn't going to flush anymore. He listened to my concerns and asked what I wanted in a new toilet, then made a recommendation for a new one. I also needed a trap replaced under my bathtub - that actually ended up costing less than the original quote. I really appreciated the honesty, and the savings. My bathtub drains and my new toilet is a BEAST. I could not be happier with the work Tim (and his helper Noah) did today.
I'd also add that not only did they do the work efficiently and to my wishes, but they were extremely pleasant to have in my home. They were kind to my cats and careful not to let the little monsters escape as they went about the job. I highly recommend hiring Motor City Plumbing and Drain for whatever you need done.

Second time customer here. Two guys replaced a water heater last year for me. Today Estaban came by to fix some broken piping and replaced a sink. Everyone I've dealt with is nice and professional and does great work. They have someone always at the phones and lets you know half an hour out when someone will arrive which is a great perk as well. Definitely recommended!

Motor City Plumbing is fantastic! Tim and Noah did a thorough job of repairing my leaking waste stack. Specializing in old home repair, Tim went right to the source of the problem. The old stack, hidden in the wall, had cracked and he and Noah made sure the repairs were complete and not patched over. This will last the next 100 years! The clean out was replaced and made accessible. It had also cracked from age. Quite a messy job, but done with excellence. I also had a vanity installed. This old house needed special care to get it in place. Tim and Noah took the time and care to get the job done right! I highly recommend this company! Our kitchen sink was backing up every time we ran our washing machine. After months of trying to fix it myself I finally called Motor City Plumbing. Van came out and explained everything in great detail, he definitely knew his stuff! It only took him an hour to clean our drain line and now everything is as good as new! 5 star service, would definitely call again if we had another plumbing issue.

Mike and his Motor City team did a great job. I was able to call mike and talk to him about the issues I was having with my kitchen sink. His team came out and was super friendly while he fixed my drain.

DTE came to home due to smell of gas. One of our kids had turned the stove knob on past the “ignite” and gas was leaking into the house. When here, DTE technician did a whole house inspection and found a few, small leaks in the basement using her gas detector machine. She said they were small leaks, but that they should be fixed.
We had Rob from Motor City Plumbing out to fix the leaks. He ran a lit lighter along all the gas pipe joints that DTE’s meter had detected a leak. Not one joint ignited. Obviously, if there was a leak, a flame would detect it. By checking first, Rob saved us a few bucks we would have had to spend in him fixing non leaking joints.

First thing you should know is this company is honest.
I didn't need the work I thought I did, which I know another company would have taken full advantage of. Noah was awesome. Very professional pleasant and great personality.

I called about a slow leak under my kitchen sink. They were very quick to respond. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely call again if the need arises.

I called based on the 5 star rating, they came out the next day to estimate the problem(s) that's when I met Tim and Noah. Noah went around and listened to all my many concerns and told me how they would remedy each situation while Tim made a the list and tallied up my total. I'm not going to lie,( it wasn't my cheapest price) however they were very professional and I felt comfortable having them in my home. Little did I know it was a God send, these guys went above and beyond, New 50 gal hot water tank, new diverter in the shower, re-plumbed a bunch of cobbled plumbing from the prior owner and installed a new valve and air arrestor in the laundry room. NOT A DROP OF WATER OR DIRT LEFT BEHIND! These guys are my new go to plumbers. Thank you guys for a awesome job.

Tim is my new hero in life! Listen, I recently was told that my 23’ of my basement needed to be torn out and several thousands of dollars being spent. I questioned that, and thank goodness i did! Tim and his crew did a great, efficient job snaking and scoping our sewer main line and then digging and replacing it where it had been destroyed by tree roots.

Motor City Plumbing is very responsive, they provide courtesy calls for their arrival times and they are very punctual.

Nick is a great technician! He arrived early, was very personable and knowledgeable, and did an awesome job repairing the leaks in my garage and re-plumbing our claw foot bathtub. I also wanted to give a shout out and to thank Tim and Duncan who made an emergency visit on a Saturday to shut off the water to a burst pipe in the ceiling so we could expose the rest of the plumbing for Motor City to return and repair the pipes. My man cave/garage is dry again thanks to Motor City Plumbing & Drain!

I had an older Delta Shower faucet and trim kit that needed full replacement along with the older gate valves for the shower supply shut offs. Noah was out on the first call to provide a quote and job walk through which was done quickly. Nick and Ben returned to complete the install and worked very quickly and cleaned up after themselves very well. Would absolutely recommend Motor City plumbing.

Tim was so patient, came out to my landbank project multiple times. He knew exactly what work needed to be done to rehab an ancient sewer line that runs way back to the alley. I had three other companies out and can say with certainty that his judgement saved me at least ten thousand dollars. Jake and Josh were great too, perfectionists with the water jetter. Mike was very professional. On top of providing high quality service for our plumbing, he covered his shoes on my carpet, closed my back gate behind him and encouraged me to double check it was closed (we have dogs), kept the doors to outside closed behind him to keep our cats in, and cleaned up after himself completely. I don't normally write reviews but I have to say this company is awesome!!! I was screwed over by another plumbing company and was left with no hot water. I was calling around trying to find another company for the next day to get it fixed and found Motor City Plumbing and Drain. They were fantastic! Brandon came out first thing in the morning to install our water tank. It took longer then expected because we had to wait on the city to turn the water off to the house and Brandon waited with us and didn't leave until he got the job done! He really went above and beyond for us and we really appreciate it. I also want to say the receptionists that scheduled the appointment and confirmed the appointment were happy, cheerful on the phone and super knowledgably. Everyone on the team did a fantastic job. He talked to me for 20-30 minutes about the probable issue and he was very reassuring that I could probably handle the fix because I am quite handy. Contacted Joe this afternoon (12-5-21) on a Sunday, while the Detroit Lions were beating the Vikings to arrange for my daughter’s toilet to be unclogged. He was able to determine the cause of the problem and fix it within in minutes of arriving. Extremely responsible for after hours service. His magnet is now displayed on the family fridge. I called Motor City Plumbing this morning for a problem with my sump pump. They sent out a tech, Brandon, early the same day. Brandon not only took care of the sump, but several other needed repairs. He was courteous, very helpful, took time to explain the repairs and advise me of future maintenance, and left the site of the repairs clean while removing all the old parts. This is the second major work Motor City has performed for me. We are very pleased with their service. We would not hesitate to use them again and would recommend them to others.

This company is awesome! I needed a toilet installed and they were able to come out within hours. They were prompt and very professional.

After an initial problem, the owner got involved and took action to remedy the situation. My gas line was repaired in a timely fashion, and I am very happy with the service.

Brandon came out today to hydro jet the basement drain and all went smooth. I got in touch with Mike yesterday and he had his crew out the very next morning and they were in and out in under two hours. Excellent service. I will definitely call them again if I have any further issues.

By 7:20am, I was on the phone with Mike, who fit me into their schedule this morning. Brandon came to my house and was able to take care of everything while he was here. Greg came to my home for a consult on a vibration in my lines. He arrived early and greeted me with a smile. After he looked at and listened to the issue, he gave me suggestions on what I could do to resolve issue. Tim & Noah arrived promptly at 8am the day they were to replace our clogged sump drain. They immediately and carefully dug a 30+ foot long trench, by hand, through thick roots from a neighbors tree. The work was laborious and long, but both of them got it done and done beautifully. They filled the trench and managed to save most of our front lawn.

Mike runs an exceptional company with an exceptional crew. Timely, frequent updates, and professional service. Tim and Noah were great and worked well together. We won't hesitate to contact them again!

Tim and Jack came out to hydro jet my drain in my basement. Wonderful job. No mess. Very friendly. Explained everything. Showed before and after the cleaning. They are the best. If you have any plumbing needs, this is definitely the company to call.

We had someone from this company come out and tell us we needed some special part that’s out of stock, rare, or some other excuses that really made no sense. They looked at our shower, seemed concerned, but never came back with any piece for repair, never followed up, nothing. Just charged us $100 bucks to tell us our drain is leaking. No duh.
Meanwhile we just had a different plumber come by today, after about a month with no follow up from Motor City. There was no new parts needed, simply just re-sealing. My shower doesn’t leak into my basement anymore, NO THANKS TO MOTOR CITY PLUMBING. Con artists. Don’t give them your money.

Edit: they called us and let us know the person who worked with us that time was new. I appreciate them at least getting in contact to make it right. Either way, they need to be more mindful of who they’re hiring and sending to peoples homes.

We had a faucet leak in the kitchen. Von came out and assessed the peoblem. Gave us several options to repair or replace. Had a new faucet in the truck. Beginning to end it took about an hour. I had been having issues with my bathroom sink slowly draining for a while now. Rob was very professional and answered all of my questions. He was able to get my sink flowing again. I will definitely call Motor City Plumbing and Drain again for any future plumbing needs.

Rob and Brandon showed up at 9am to replace all of our old cast iron vent stack from the basement up, including basement, upstairs vanity drains, which ran through partition walls, and the upstairs bath tub drain, and tied the upstairs toilet to the new vent stack, all PVC. After removing the upstairs toilet, they saw an issue and worked hard to resolve the problem. They also replaced the feed lines in the wall for the upstairs bathroom sink, and toilet. By 2:30 pm, they had finished, swept up, and were out the door. They were total professionals with reasonable rates. Don't hesitate to call Motor City Plumbing for work in your home. I highly recommend Motor City plumbing!!! We had them do a few things for us- install a new outdoor faucet for the hose, replaced and installed a brand new sump pump with a water back up system, and the biggest headache we asked them to do was clean out our entirely clogged backyard drain. Not only did they clean out the mud and clay filled drain, but they also replaced the basin completely and gave us a new drain cover. AND hauled away the mess they dug out. Every job was done quickly and efficiently. We are so relieved to have all of this work done within a week and can’t say enough good things about this company! They were genuinely nice people to talk to, not to mention very knowledgeable. We have found our go to plumbing company!!! 5 stars!

Called Friday with a plumbing issue and they were able to send Scotty out same day. He was able to address the issue quickly and answered all our questions! Price was more than fair for the work he did and how thorough he was, very happy with the entire experience.

Mike and Tim were both a pleasure to work with. Mike was my initial contact when setting up the appointment and Tim did the repair. I was the waste line from the inside of my basement to the exterior. It was less than 24 hrs between the time Tim quoted the job to them rolling out of my driveway. With the exception of the newly laid cement, you would never know they were here. Tim & his apprentice were exceptional.

We had to call them out during an ice storm for a leaking pipe in our basement. Esteban arrived a lot quicker than estimated. Was expecting a hefty service call charge but was very pleasantly surprised. He was very courteous and thorough. Will definitely use them again in the future!

After using a camera to inspect, our sewage pipe from the house to the main city lines needed hydrojetted due to roots and calcium build up. My 20-year-old faucet and garbage disposal recently began to misbehave, corrode and leak. Water noticibly leaked under the sink and down to the basement. We had a toilet that was loose, and called Motor City. Whomever answered the phone was friendly and very efficient. We arranged a date a week out because of my schedule, but they could have handled the next day. Brandon just left and was prompt, professional, clean, quick and the price was fair. No muss, no fuss - I'll keep their number close.

Prepared, experienced, prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable! In less than 24 hours they diagnosed, got the proper equipment, and repaired our sewer line. My husband and I just moved to SCS in November, and by the end of December the basement backed up 3 times. Motor City came out and found that a huge snake line had broken off in the sewer line from someone else. They tried to get it out with different equipment first, but that line was not coming out easily.. They made some phone calls and were able to come out the very next morning to dig up the yard and repair everything (the old snake line was 100ft long stuck in the main sewer system tangled in tree roots..).Tim and his crew explained everything that was going on and kept us updated the whole time. They’ll be our go to guys if a need arises again.

Thank you! Used the Dynamic Duo of Tim and Duncan for help trouble shooting and fixing why our kitchen faucet had such little water pressure when trying to use the hot water. They literally just finished up installing my brand new tankless water heater. Unfortunately I had a friend who knew what he was doing try to save me a few bucks by installing it the first time but he made a mess of the job. Mike came out to make sure there wasn't an emergency and that my family was safe for the time being. A few days later (today) he came back, uninstalled and reinstalled my heater the right way. Tim and duncan did a great job analyzing my faucet issue. These guys came out last year to jet my drain and in addition ran a camera down the drain to make sure everything is still looking good. Esteban did fine work. He arrived within the time frame given by his office, did the repairs, and was done in about 20 minutes. It was a pleasure to have this service and we are glad the company is located within walking distance of our home.

Great job installing the separate water meter for our sprinklers.

This is not a review about the work(because no work was performed) this is a review in regards to customer experience. Had the team come out and provide an estimate, I had the work scheduled, then the team comes back to start the work, notices that a “special part” needs to be ordered and they will reach out to their contacts and then call me back to reschedule. A week later(today), I call the office and follow up status. Message was passed to the team. I get a call back saying “no one would sell them the part”, which I understand. But what I do not like is “lack of follow up”, this could have been conveyed to me days ago. And I would have reached out to whomever, so If you say your going to follow up..then do so.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Very pricy as well.

We have Motor City plumbing come and fix two faucets that were leaking. We needed these faucets to be fixed before we installed a new washer. Tyler went above and beyond in his service. I always worry when calling a plumber that they are going to price gouge or over charge. Josh eased my mind he was here to only fix the problem. Esteban was very courteous, checked out our outside plumbing leak from the sump pump flow, indoor toilet not working well, and replaced a laundry faucet. He presented a detailed paper stating service to be done, and prices. We agreed on the price and he immediately went to work to repair the outside leak, indoor toilet and replace laundry faucet. He cleaned up each job completely. Esteban was fast, efficient and knew his job explicitly. Will call again if we need more work done.

Tim and Noah did great, honest work! They were personable, professional and efficient. I had a plumber who came out the day before and scammed me without fixing my drain issue. I called Motor City Plumbing the next morning and they came out within a few hours to fix my problem and provide me with solutions to keep it from happening again. They also cleaned up not only their mess, but the mess from the scammer before them. I will definitely be calling Motor City Plumbing for any and all plumbing needs in the future!

They bever called me back after I left a message asking for sevice .

My husband tried to snake a drain clog to no avail. Called Motor City Plumbing and they sent out Tim and Jack within a half hour. They unclogged the stack and replaced the piping under the sink my husband had dismantled to snake. They were thorough and efficient in fixing the problem and worked diligently to keep the cost of the repairs reasonable. Highly recommend Tim and Jack.

This summer I had issues with my sanitary line flowing poorly and backing up. Drain cleaning would help for a time, but the issue was in need of a proper fix. Nick and Noah came out and located the broken area in the pipe and dug down to get it. These guys were extremely professional and got the job knocked out in a day. They knew exactly what to do, and got it done! Weeks of stress went down the drain, literally, once Nick and Noah showed up.
They showed up right when they said they would, and the price was exactly as quoted. Thanks Motor City team.
