Brian was very customer friendly and professional with great work ethics. I will continue to use Blau as I have for maintenance as I have since I purchased my property in 1997.

Called on Thurs. with leaking water heater. By 8am Theo was here. He did a thorough evaluation. He pointed out other areas I will need to address. Joel arrived about an hour later. He had the old heater out and new one installed in short order. I am very pleased with Blau. Thank you, Theo and Joel.

We were without our AC and it was hot. I called Blau and they set up a service appointment promptly for the next morning. They had us up and running in less than an hour.

I called Blau when I noticed water coming out of the top of our hot water tank. I had a repairman name Dave at my house so quickly, I couldn't believe he came that fast. The electrical wires to my house came down after a limb fell on them due to a recent storm, which also tore the mast off of the house in the process. After an initial quote from Blau this turned into an insurance claim. Dean stuck with me through the entire process. Where he really shined was when performing the work; there are a lot of moving parts to getting the power back on and Dean was an advocate for me to We Energies and the City Inspectors. In the end, Dean pulled through after a lot of ups and downs, delays, and misunderstandings, and got We Energies to get the power back on in my home. Huge kudos to Dean!

Had furnace problems as the cold air returned (20 degree low / 30 degree high). A burning smell and it took a long time for the furnace fan to start (if it did start). Of course, on a Sunday. A call to Blau on Sunday and I was talking to a furnace technician within 10 minutes who assured me that if I wanted to wait until Monday (to save the weekend rate) that the furnace would be safe to operate. Received a call at 7:30am Monday morning (as promised) to schedule a technician visit - Theo arrived by 8:45am through the heavy snow. Very professional, very respectful. Diagnosed a bad control board -- provided options for board replacement or a new furnace. Got a replacement board delivered by 10am and furnace was working shortly there after. Fast service, quality technicians and scheduler.

I had a great experience with Blau, we called for an air gap problem on the kitchen sink, but found several other minor issues that needed fixing. I am happy about this and don't feel like I was upsold or given a hard sale on any of the items that were fixed. The plumber was knowledgeable and courteous.

Blau sent a plumber to install a new hot water heater. The service was out standing. He was able to install new equipment in an old house with old plumbing. Unfortunately the city inspector failed the work, and Blau was once again was there for us and worked with our busy schedule and sent Dave. He was able to solve the issues. Now everything is up to code and the hot water heater is working better than ever.Blau has knowledgeable, courteous staff that cairs about there customers.

Theo was knowledgeable about the issue, did a full inspection of our plumbing situation and gave me a realistic estimate regarding what it would take to get our old house in fully working order, but also knew how to fix the immediate concern with our low hot water pressure for a much lower price. He helped me fully understand the issue at hand and reconcile it at an affordable rate. Learned a lot from him in the process. Couldn’t be happier with the service he and his apprentice provided.

Price is high but aren't all plumbers?

Recently had a stem break on my shower faucet in the middle of the night and while I could have just turned the water off myself and found a fix for the problem in the morning, it had been a long day and I wanted to deal with it right then and there.
Paid the ridiculous (but reasonable compared to some others) surcharge for them to come out after business hours and the problem was diagnosed & fixed (for the night) within 90 minutes of my call for service. Mind you my water had been running for about two hours at this point as I had tried SEVERAL other after hours plumbing companies before calling Blau and did not receive a response or call back from ANYONE (except one company who wanted to charge me $400 JUST to show up at my door.)
The Blau technician (Joel) who came out was very polite and fun to talk to. He did not have an actual fix for the problem the night of, other than turning off the water, but he came back right on time as scheduled the next day with the right tools and parts for the job.

Take my review in kind with the others (some are very negative) but from my personal experience I would highly recommend Blau if you find yourself in need of emergency plumbing services.

My husband and I had a drain that backed up in the basement area. The service man that was sent out name is Mike. He was absolutely amazing! I appreciate the education that he shared with me regarding the plumbing issue and how to try & be proactive in preventing this problem. He used visual aids by walking with me over to the pipe areas and teaching me the chemistry of what goes on when the System is working properly. He also reminded me the correct way and the importance of flushing the toilets that would also make a difference in the pipe system. No technician had ever done this before. He was truly an angel!! His mannerism spoke volumes. This company is blessed to have this young man servicing the community at large. These are unprecedented times and he truly brought the sunshine today and made a difference. Thank you!

I had a really bad experience with Blau Plumbing. From the very start, with a grumpy, condescending plumber at my door trying to upsell a new water main valve (that wasn't why they were called) who didn't repair my toilet properly, to contacting the Blau Office and being told that I needed to submit my dissatisfaction by email and allow 2 weeks for a response, and finally being sent to collections before I had final resolve with Mr. Blau, I'm amazed that a business run like this can still be in business. You can find better plumbing contractors elsewhere, that have more reasonable pricing and exceptional customer service. I called Viking Plumbing to fix what Blau couldn't, and they were great!

Blau did over and beyond. I went through a couple companies (contracted through Sears) who never showed up, came late, and we’re completely unprofessional. This company was like a breath of fresh air. They were professional from the start, came on time, talked me through the service, and finished the task quickly. Thank you!!!!!

Our furnace wasn’t working on one of the coldest days of the year and Dave from Blau was at our house in 2 hours. He diagnosed the problem and had a driver pick up and deliver a part to our house right away. Furnace back up and running in no time. We appreciate the excellent service. Thanks Dave and Blau Team! Absolute robbery. They charged $80 to come over for 5 minutes only to give an outrageous estimate. $40 “Truck Fee” and $40 for the plumbers time (the time charge is reasonable). $2,400 to install a water heater. Nonsense. Blau can just go around doing ridiculous estimates all day and they’d make a killing. They came as one of Menards recommended companies. Well, I do not recommend.
They got 2 stars because the plumber was a great guy. He recognized how ridiculous their prices were.

I was very pleased with my service. I called for a clogged kitchen drain and was able to get an appointment same day during the time that worked best for me. The office called to let me know when they were on their way. Kyle was amazing! He explained everything, offered tips, cleaned up after himself and checked everything upstairs and down before he left. He took a look at the problem when he arrived, quoted me a price and then started work- I liked that. I was pleasantly surprised with the cost - very reasonable! And they do not charge for travel as some companies do. I will call them again!

My technician's name was Theo and he was phenomenal. He took his time and went through everything, he explained what was needed. He was professional and very personable. This is the second time I've used Blau, and I would definitely use them again.

Blau is very expensive! We had them come out to our house for diagnostics. They spent 90 minutes at our house looking at dishwasher and softener. No actual plumbing done. Total charge $526! Called them to discuss bill, but they never called back.

David was very professional precise and to the point. Great servicer fixed pvc adapter and unclog pipes.

BEWARE! Don't fall for the $29 trip charge scam. A visit will cost you hundreds. Technician that was sent to my house was rude and arrogant. Improperly installed toilet resulting in an injury to our son. Technician left raw sewage on floor surrounding drain. $566 and two missed days of work later it is finally taken care of. No follow up or apology from company. Should have called Mr Rooter.

Serviceman was knowledgeable and friendly and got the job done in a timely manner. My only complaint is they said between 9-12, then I got a call at 11:45 telling me he is on the way. Didn't get there until 1, however, everything was fast and efficient upon his arrival.

Very expensive! I agreed to $189 truck charge (trip charge) and $30 per 15 minutes labor rate! Josh was very professional and diagnosed the problem! The issue was the quote to replace the gas valve and install a gas drip line for $865.00 parts not included! After watching a 12 minute video on youtube , I replaced it myself in 1 1/2 hours including clean up!
No complaints about punctuality or ability just got shocked by quote costlier than the price of a new hot water heater!

Had a backed up garbage disposal. Josh cleared it up in 30 minutes. He arrived 2 hours after my call. Very pleased.

Super fast service and reasonable!

We have a Super Bowl party planned with lots of people and the day before the party - Saturday - our basement sink starts backing up! That means we can't wash clothes, wash dishes or use the dish washer...disaster ahead! Our regular plumber was up north ice fishing...panic starts to set in. After searching for plumbers near me on Google, we chose Blau Plumbing and placed a call late that morning hoping that they were open and available to fix our back-up before the big crowd arrived.

A real person actually answered the phone!!! And they keep meticulous records - we have lived in our house 27 years, never used Blau before - but they had records showing the prior owner used them. One hour after placing the call, Dillon arrived and resolved our problem in 45 minutes. Dillon was courteous, clean, efficient, and provided tips on how to maintain a clean drain. There is no doubt in our minds about who we will choose next time disaster strikes.

I found Blau Plumbing's service to be top notch when dealing with a sewer back-up. They turned that very unpleasant experience into the best that could have been hoped for, given the circumstances. Joanie (on the phone), and Kyle (technician) who worked until after 11pm to make sure I was taken care of couldn't have been better to work with. I definitely will use Blau Plumbing in the future.

Blau is the gold standard for HVAC services. Theo is amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and friendly.

We needed a water heater replacement on a Saturday. The installer, Kyle , was very knowledgeable and efficient. It was evident that he was very proficient, knowledgeable, and thorough.

Kyle Also explained certain Code requirements that slightly changed the setup from the way the previous heater was connected, 19 years ago.

We are very pleased with the installation and performance of the new hot water heater.

I called mid day after experiencing a sewer back up, and they were there within a hour to fix the problem. I appreciate the promptness and friendliness of the employees. If, and when, I need the services they provide I would definitely use them again!

Kyle, the Blau Plumbing technician that came out to snake out my sewer line from the house to the street was very professional, friendly and very dedicated to resolving my plumbing issue. He was respectful of my home by covering his area with plastic as to not make a mess and he made sure everything was cleaned up around the area he worked.

Had them out for a routine service call on the furnace they installed several years ago. Seemed very thorough and provided a detailed report on the functionality of the furnace. They did arrive in the window given, but toward the tail end of the window so the appointment was not completed by the end of the window.

Joel has provided plumbing service previously at my home -- always nice to see a familiar face. He is very knowledgeable and gets the job done with no wasted time.

I had a technician over this weekend to unclog my kitchen sink he did a excellent job , then my wife noticed that one of the pipes were leaking after he was done he stopped the leak temporarily but after he was gone my wife noticed some water under the sink so we called this morning and spoke with a lady and she told us that they would send someone out today no time was given, but she also said that the technician wouldn’t tell us how it would be to repair the leak I told her no our pipe was not leaking prior to technician coming to our home so why would we be charged l, she then went back and forward with me about he needs to check out where it is leaking from… she was very unprofessional and I asked for a manager or someone else she said stated the journey man coming out is the manager I’ll never use this company ever again

We had a Trane AC and Furnace installed by Blau, And every step of the way was a top notch easy experience. Dave Lachapelle was an honest up front guy who did not try to over or under sell me. He made sure we got what was right for our home and it's needs. The quality of the work the crew did was so good that when the permit inspector came out to inspect the work, he made a comment on how good the sheet metal work was. Robert Blau came out during the install and thanked us for our business. And the Office personnel were fantastic to work out our scheduling and billing needs. This is a top rate business that I would not hesitate to to business with again.

Your scheduler gave us false information about arrival. It was imperative for me to leave home by 5:30. When scheduling, we were told a technician would arrive at 4:00.

90 degrees outside and my AC was broken. Blau got me out of a jamb, back up and running in hours, fast and fair. Very knowledgeable technician and friendly office staff. THANK YOU!

This company is terrible! We had an appointment scheduled last week to install a water heater between 9-noon, but had to call them when they hadn't shown up yet at 1230. We were told they were short staffed, running behind & we'd be the next stop. By 2:30 we called to cancel because we had afternoon plans. We decided to give them another try & this time they made it to the appointment, but quoted us $795 to install a water heater! That is a ridiculous amount of money for a water heater installation. The tecnician commented that my husband must not be a business man or didn't know how to run a business, because the company has to make money! Wow! That's one hell of an assumption on Theo Matt's part!
They still charged us $60 for the quote which is absurd considering they missed our 1st appointment, but an expensive lesson learned considering our 2nd...
We will never use this company again!

The Short of it is: They did an outstanding job from beginning to end!!! I cannot stress this enough.

The Long of it is: This is the second time that we have had them out. Jim (who we didn't know is the CEO and President of the company, yes... he does do service calls) came here the first time. I was so impressed (I'm very hard to win over) and he sold me on his company and the work they do. My Father was a Master Plumber and I was raised on going on side jobs with him so yes... I know what is expected from a Plumber and their work. Though my Father never worked for Blau, he always touted that if we needed work done the right way the first time to call Blau for all our needs for the house (except carpentry, etc. of course). Jim's honesty, dedication and expertise to seeing the job done correct and efficiently the first time is/was impeccable! Again, we needed their help. This time David LaChappelle was sent. Again... without going into specific details...David was honest and fixed our furnace in no time.

Website says 24/7 but, apparently, franchise servicing 53207 doesn't have sudden service. The 262 area code answered and pleasant but had to refer me to 414 franchise.

came over late on a Friday night to fix my bathtub. the plumber was in and out in less than 45 minutes with the problem resolved. also he showed me a couple things to avoid issues in the future.

We have been using Blau since about 1986 and the Blau technicians never let us down. We are moving and asked Blau to replace our water heater and check other systems in the new residence. The initial determination was complete and several options were presented to us. As usual, the technician was efficient and complete and explained all he had done. Of course, we would recommend Blau and certainly be using them
again when needed.

Super friendly technician and they fixed the issue, but $450 to unclog a toilet that turned out to be a simple fix and took less than an hour is way too expensive.

Toilet overflowed in upstairs bathroom. It was bad. :-). I called for service at approximately 9:00AM, technician was at my home within the hour! About 9:45AM. Prior to calling Blau, I called two other companies. One couldn't tell me exactly when they could arrive and the other company gave me a five hour window. Blau came within the hour! Service was quick and the technician was a very nice gentleman! I didn't know about Blau but I do now! They just gained a new forever customer!! Blau Sudden Service.

I have used Blau Plumbing in the past and found their work to be very efficient. So when the drainage pipe under the kitchen sink started leaking, I contacted Blau Plumbing. The repairman that was sent was very professional, explained what needed to be done and gave me a fair quote. I signed a contract and the work was started immediately. After the job was completed, the repairman walked me thru everything that was done. I would recommend Blau Plumbing for anyone that needs plumbing repair work done.

Joel came to the rescue on a Saturday. In the middle of a great friend trying to give a practical gift to an unemployed friend in need - he was caring, listened well and worked with us to get the job done. He has created a customer for life. Old house - win, win. Thank you for making time for us on a Saturday, at the last minute!

Came home from vacation to frozen pipes . Needless to say we were in a panic. We called Blau to assess damage and repair . We were thrilled with speedy and professional service . Kyle had us up and running quickly .

Gave them a chance based on the reviews here. Long story short they wanted $1700 to install a new water heater, change the flute and the gas and water valves. That does NOT include the cost of the water heater! $900 for the water heater install only (mind you that's disconnecting 3 pipes and reconnecting them to the new water heater, not to mention I already drained the old one), $200 for the water valve, $300 for the gas valve, $300 for the flute never mind that they lied about the flute not being up to code! In the end it cost me $400 to have a water heater I purchased locally professionally installed by someone else.

I'm the Blau customer since 2010 and very pleased with this company. All service techs are very professional, polite and courteous. When I had old furnace which stopped working at 18F, I called in the morning and technician was in my house next hour. Blau Sudden Service is a five-star company.

I had a clogged kitchen sink that my husband tried to fix. After 1 week of trying he finally decided to call Blau Plumbing. He called at 930am on August 31 to schedule an appointment and was able to have the plumber to come out the same day at 6pm. An hour before the scheduled time a representative called to confirm that someone would be home. When the plumber Kyle arrived, he was very professional and courteous. He assessed the slow drain in my bathroom sink first and gave me some suggestions to fix it myself. Which I greatly appreciated. He then assessed the kitchen sink that wasn't draining at all. He mentioned that it would take less then an hour to complete and it did. Only about 30 minutes. The one thing that really stuck out for me was Kyles professionalism. He really took the time to tell me what the issue was and how he was going to fix it and most importantly he kept my kitchen clean while he was working and was sure to clean up after himself before he left. He also gave me two additional recommendations and quotes for some additional repairs that were needed. I really hope I don't need plumbing services again, but if I do I will be sure to call Blau Plumbing first.

One of my evenings took a horrible turn. My toilet was flooding water into my basement each flush. I called about 4 places and none of them said they could come to my house, “too far away” they said and hung up. So I googled searched one more time and Blau showed up. They came early in the morning, I met two of the workers and let me say... THEY ARE HEROS! They were so friendly, professional, and just all around caring. This business is filled with lovely and hard working people. I never leave reviews, but this company deserves it. Thank you so so much!!!!

Theo was great. He had some initial trouble only because he was so thorough and found a leak. Didn’t cost extra. Came back a whole extra morning and got the job done putting in a natural gas line. Would definitely hire again.

Asked them for a quote to replace motor for a well. Instead, they quoted me incorrect regulations and $7500 for a $300 job. I asked at work and it appears they have earned reputation for 10x quotes. Had to pay $110 to get their self promoting misinformation quote.

1. You call. The man answering barely lets you get a word in edgewise regarding what the problem is but guarantees a fix on your issue. He informs you it will cost $79 for someone to show up.
2. Next, a very inexperienced plumber arrives, walks around your house looking really confused as you speak to them. The inexperienced plumber asks if you're interested in a diagnosis charging around $45 per quarter hour. You say yes.
4. The inexperience plumber calls a more experienced plumber who says the only option is to run a camera through the pipes and the charge is $800. The charge doesn't include ACTUALLY fixing the problem.
5. You decline the camera. The inexperienced plumber charges you $125 and leaves.
6. You call another plumber.

First, I needed plumbing information on a week-end and Blau had people answering phones on a Sunday. I had a leak that was dripping from the bathtub into the condo below me. The plumbers diagnosed and fixed the issue, along with a couple of minor plumbing needs. They were very professional and knowledgeable.

My technician Josh was timely, found the problem quickly and repaired it effectively. He also gave me an estimate of the cost in case I needed more extensive work in the future. He was friendly and considerate, even being sure to turn the basement lights off before he left. I will definitely use blouse on service in the future based on my experience with Josh today.

Kyle needed to work with my wife as I was not available; he was very thorough, and explained everything very well without being condescending. My wife was very comfortable with Kyle. We are extremely happy with his service, and with Blau in general.

I’m satisfied with Kyle but the vendor service did not respond to Kyle with the required part due to it being the weekend. We have to wait until Monday to have heating in the house. Kyle arranged for space heaters in the meantime. My suggestion is that Blau get a new vendor. Monday has come and Kyle accomplished the repair within an hour. Our 26-year old AC unit stopped working in early July, so we called Blau Plumbing. A technician came out that same day and was able to fix it, so we were very pleased with the service.

This place is definitely NOT recommended. I called them when I was in a pinch and needed service on my existing water heater. I got a phone call from Theo telling me my water heater was leaking (it wasn't, I spilled water) and he could install a new one for $2200. He didn't even attempt to fix the control which was why I called in the first place! Come to find out, these guys work on commission and try to sell you everything under the sun. I got a Bradford White power vent (top of the line) installed the next day for $1100 including labor by another plumber.

Is 80 years old called Blau because her kitchen sink collapsed. They quoted her at $2750 to fix it. My husband, who
Is handy, looked at it and said it just needed a few extra brackets and new calking. She had another professional come in and affirmed what my husband suspected and fixed it for $360. We all feel they were taking advantage of a senior. Just beware of these companies who try to take advantage of elderly people. I'm glad we got a second and third opinion.

Had a water heater issue, called several places and none of them could get to me for 2 days. Blau was able to get to me same day. Had to wait for a part to be shipped, but when it arrived, Mickey came out and installed the part within a couple hours of the part's arrival. I was kept apprised of the progress and in just a short amount of time had hot water again. Mickey was great and explained thoroughly everything that was done so I could understand. Recommend highly if you need service. The operation was great from the first contact made to the handshake at the end.

Sump pump alarm went off on Friday afternoon in our building at work. I checked it out and the sump pump stopped working. I called Blau and they said they could have someone over within the hour. The lady on the phone also asked for our credit card number for the billing, so we gave it to her. Great so far! The plumber arrived, very friendly, very professional, said he would get it all taken care of. Still a great experience!

By now it's 4:30 and i had a funeral / wake to go to so i left for the day thinking things were under control. Not the case! All of a sudden i get a phone call from one of our employee's stating that the phone representative i talked to at Blau called back and said our corporate credit card didn't go through and the woman at Blau said they were going to come back and remove the pump they had installed, saying its not their fault we cant pay our bills. My employee said she was sorry but that I was at a wake and couldnt be reached, and there wasn't another credit card available at the moment. The Blau employee's response was 'Oh, that's convenient'.

After leaving the wake, i had a message on my phone notifying me of all the drama that took place during this repair transaction. I called the people at Blau and the girl started back pedaling and told me i had no reason to be upset, that their manager said they were not going to disconnect the pump. No reason to be upset? This is what they call good customer service? After reviewing the situation it appears the girl copied our credit card number down incorrectly. Someone should really teach the woman that insulting the customer isn't a very good way to do business. Very happy with Blau's service people, customer service needs to be trained and or replaced.

Called late Friday afternoon cause hot water heater started leaking. Said that they could have someone here on Sat am. Technician even arrived early, and told us about updating due to new coding. Started immediately to take old out and put new one in.

Air went out suddenly at 5pm…I told them I didn’t want to pay emergency rates. They had Dave here the following afternoon. He explained in simple language how the rates work. He knew within the first 15 minutes that I needed a fan motor. It was too late in the day to get one there, so he cleaned out the entire unit…which he didn’t have to do. Then he was back by 8:00 the next morning with the new motor and we were up and running again. I have had guys in who are always trying to up-sell as soon as they get there…I didn’t get that with Dave.

Terrible service

I called Blau for my in-laws at 8:30am and their service tech Dave was there by 10:20am! Dave serviced all three toilets in the house, replacing only what was needed to get everything up to standard! It was great to know that he could be trusted to provide excellent work at a fair price and that my on-laws were well cared for!

Blau responded promptly to my inquiry and quickly scheduled Kyle between 2-4 pm the same afternoon. This was on a Sat and Blau did not charge for after hour rate for an assessment. I am pretty good at repairing things including plumbing problems. Kyle called me at 2:05 and told me he will arrive at 3:30. Before he came, I cut a portion of the drywall to expose the pipe and the shut off gate valve that needed to be replaced. He explained what needed to be done and quoted the job. I also needed a seized valve to my hot water replaced and Kyle proceeded to replaced both valves and tested for leaks. Kyle did a great job and was very polite and professional.

I wanted to thank Theo and his apprentice for their recent visit to repair my boiler…I was without heat during the coldest day of the year. They arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem quickly and got my heat back up and running. They also thoroughly explained my options for future replacement of my HVAC system. Honest, courteous, and very professional. Highly recommend!

Sticker shock!
I had a leaking water heater in my rental home. I (as an engineer, not a plumber) determined the leak was from the Honeywell 5 W.C. Outlet thermostat control unit inlet at the bottom of the water heater. The Blau plumber couldn't confirm this, but felt since the water heater was 10years old, it would be best to replace the entire water heater. Since Blau takes out a permit, the plumber said they then must upgrade all items not presently to code (i.e. 3 vent above water heater must be 4 for a 40gal tank; adjacent water pipes had to then be cut out and replumbed to allow for the bigger vent being installed; a new gas valve had to be installed so it could be turned on/off with two fingers, etc). So instead of a $400 plumbing bill for just a $129.99 Honeywell thermostat control, my bill came to $2,250.
Summary:
The billing rate was extraordinarily high,
the extra work needing to be done was questionable,
but I would concede the workmanship is likely of good quality.
I was pressed for time, otherwise, my judgement would have been to use a reputable, qualified plumber from a 1-person company. Blau did give me same-day service.

There was a heavy rain storm and had water backup from the floor drain in the finished basement of our newly purchased home in Wauwatosa, WI. I didn’t know who to call, but noticed two of our neighbors had Blau Sudden Service technicians out at there house the next morning. So I called Blau and they were out fast, Chuck our technician was super helpful. He went straight to work, helped me with all my questions and cleared the drain blockage like a boss. He informed me of all my options, walked me through the process and went above and beyond what most techs do.

In the end, we still had to demolish a lot of our finished basement, but because of Blau we’re on track to rebuild with confidence that the “root” cause is solved. He found and cleared tree roots in my sewer drain, treated for future root growth, and was in and out in an hour. I can’t thank the folks at Blau enough, they really came through in a tough time for my family. I will be using them for HVAC services this summer and will have them out to treat my drains as needed.

If you don’t like long reviews, I will sum it up in two sentences. I am so happy we chose this company to give our business to. They did an outstanding job from beginning to end.

We recently replaced our electric water heater with a gas one. It still worked fine but we didn’t want to be in the same situation we had been in 10 years ago when we were told by a different company that it would take 5 days to get a gas one installed. A separate gas line would be needed and the water heater would either have to be moved to vent out the chimney (an option that was not appealing to us because that was a usable area in our basement) or it could remain were it was and be power vented with a big vent running across the ceiling to the chimney. The estimate was ridiculous and with those options given, and the fact that we couldn’t wait 5 days for hot water, we went with an electric one again which of course means higher energy bills. Recently, I saw a coupon for Blau and made an appointment for an estimate. The gentleman who quoted the job did not tell us at the time, but we found out later, was the owner. He actually went through every option possible for us, ranging from a free solution of keeping the electric water heater we have and using energy saving ideas we were unaware of, to changing the water heater to gas, leaving it in the area that it is in right now (out of our way) and power venting it along the wall to an adjacent wall. He also gave us all the options in between. We have a fully furnished basement and our water heater is not located by a drain, so a water heater was recommended that has a safety feature to turn off in the event of a leak or malfunction, and it was suggested that we could get a smaller water heater as gas heats water more quickly than electric. After researching the subject of water heaters leaking and bursting, we realized how important it is in our situation to have that feature, we were sold on that and we took the advice of a smaller water heater as well. Both good choices. Because of poor workmanship we received from other companies in the past, my husband wanted to be there during the installation. It was not necessary. Dave, the plumber, was outstanding. He showed my husband what was being done throughout the project, and when he completed the job, he gave us both a thorough explanation and time to ask any questions. The installment went smoothly with the exception of an issue with the electrician’s part of the job. The electrician was contracted by Blau and is a well-known company. After we contacted Blau with our concern, they contacted the electrician themselves and followed up with us until the problem was resolved to our satisfaction. It was not cheap to convert the electric water heater to gas, but I can see the savings on the electric bill already. There was a lot of work that needed to be done and it was the done to our satisfaction and professionally…with no hassle. I feel the owner was trying to help us make the best decision for our situation, and I was surprised that he would suggest ideas that would not benefit him. We were treated respectfully and the company stood behind its work to made sure they had satisfied customers.

I was able to get a same day appointment even when I called at 2 pm. The plumber checked areas in our home unrelated to the leak and offered advice that will be helpful in the future. Theo showed my husband how to fix the problem in the future himself if it happened again, as well as helped us prioritize future work. Will call again!

not shut off). He had the problem diagnosed within 15 minutes, I already new it was a limit switch, but they would not let me talk with the technician. He also found a bad bushing on the blowerThe charge for repairing absolutely nothing was over $300.00. The estimate for the two repairs was over $1600.00 !
After reaIizing I was being overcharged, I purchased the parts online for appr. $240.00 and had it repaired in 1 1/2 hours.
that leaves him with $1360.00 for labor and he probably could have done it faster than me. All he really wanted to do was sell me a new furnace for $5496.00. I'm old enough to know when I'm being scammed, and this was one of those times !!

They charge $6265 to replace a furnace in my rental property. Which is about $3000 over the normal price. I will never deal with them again

I called to schedule a cost estimate...within one hour the truck pulled up to my house...the requirements were discussed with the plumber...the estimate was given...approval was given to proceed...the job was completed. I had Blau come out to clean out a sewer line. I was original quoted 300- 500 dollars for the work. When the technician came out he immediately charged me almost 600 dollars and had me pay before the work started. In under 30 minutes he came up and say he couldn't get it cleaned out and didn't refund my money. There was also feces and small pieces of toilet paper on the walls by the sewer clean out that wasn't cleaned up. I had roto-rooter come out the next day and they got it unclogged, cleaned up, and was very professional. Blau Sudden Service is the worst company I've ever dealt with.

My furnace decided to open the gates of hell last night and just constantly ran until it was 90° in the house. We finally got it to shut off but after it wouldn't come back on properly. Within hours of calling, Blau came out to inspect my 1970s unit and fixed us up with a replacement thermostat for a reasonable cost. They could've easily said we needed to spend thousands on a new furnace but they didn't because they came to help and not just to turn a profit.

Side note, we are caring for a little girl this weekend and she made the specialist a thank you crown and he wore it the whole time he was here which was very sweet of him.

Buyer beware: The kitchen faucet was leaking due an old garbage disposal. He was here to assess, quote, and replace the disposal (which I supplied) in about 45 minutes. They charged me $416, that's $564.67/hr for service only!!! The plumber was professional and effective though, hence the single star. I received a follow up call the next day to see if it was done to my satisfaction, and when asked about the price gauge the customer service person just thanked me for the feedback but offered no explanation.

Arrived quickly, efficiently fixed the problem within a short deadline, helped us determine the cause and provided suggestions to help avoid issues in the future, friendly, polite, professional, and kind. Definitely recommended. Will call again in the future.

Update 8/19/2020:
I called Blau to replace a burst frost-free hose bibb. Like before, they would not give any prices over the phone and required a tech to come to the house. They did however maintain their speedy service and were able to schedule an appointment for the next day.

Mickey came out to see the pipe. He quickly gave me a quote for $620 to replace the burst hose bibb. I was taken back by the price and mentioned it was 2-3 times as much as I expected for such a small job. Mickey offered a slightly lower price and reminded me that if I decline the work, I would still be on the hook for the $39 trip charge and $30 diagnostic fee. My wife and I felt trapped but could not justify the high cost - especially compared to what I paid for my previous visit.

After my experience today, I cannot in good faith continue to recommend Blau to my friends and family due to their high prices and trip/diagnostic fees.

Steve came out next day to assess and provide a quote. He explained all work that was needed and provided a detailed estimate, breaking out all costs. After reviewing the quote, we were able to have him back the next day to perform the work.

We tried calling other local companies who either never returned our call or fell short on service. I could not be happier with our experience and will not hesitate to use Blau again!

Called at 8am this morning with a plugged shower drain. They were here within the hour! (We were lucky there were available for the first call of the day.) Two techs came out - I think one was in training. They were very efficient and friendly. Explained everything they were doing, gave a few options, and in the end fixed it with the simplest solution. Told me my cost upfront before they did any work. Very happy and would definitely do business again. :)

Called on a Sunday to have a clogged kitchen sink cleared but deferred to a weekday due to cheaper price. Plumber was on time and drain cleared in under an hour

Beware of all of the scams associated with this industry. They got my in-laws with the classic “it’s not blowing right, and it’s going to cost you $5000”.

Had an scheduled visit and they never showed up, then the lady answering the phone was very rude which was the (owners sister) not sure why since they were the unprofessional ones scheduling and appointment but not locating it in their system. A complete waste of time.

I called on a sunday evening and left a message. they returned my called promptly on Monday morning and were very helpful in getting me into the schedule for the morning.
The tech was prompt and friendly. He found the problem and was able to fix it in a timely fashion.
I would use Blau again they have been the only plumbers i have use for many years.

We contacted Blau to do a charged diagnostic assessment ($130). After running various tests, they recommended replacement of our current AC and furnace. The technician recommend having the owner come out to do a thorough assessment of the house to get a detailed quote. Scheduled second appointment with the owner, he walked around the house and was verbally throwing out numbers between $10,000-$30,000! No written quote was provided. After contacting the owner to get a quote in writing, he responded saying additional critical tests needed to be run to quote an appropriately sized unit, which would be an ADDITIONAL VISIT that would cost us $250!! After two separate visits, during which the need for critical tests were not discussed, they were unable to give us a written quote. Since then we've had two other companies out to our home and were provided with detailed, written quotes within 24 hours. All significantly lower than $10,000 and only requiring ONE FREE VISIT! We would not recommend working with them.

We received great customer service from the plumber, Mickey, who came to our home to fix a leaking bathroom fixture. He was very professional and got the job done in a timely manner with attention to details. Definitleey recommend using this company for your plumbing needs! This was our third time using Blau.

We contacted Blau when our A/C fan was running, but the temperature in the house was going up. The contact person listened well, pulled up our records, and immediately scheduled an appointment for later that day. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable, diagnosing the problem quickly. The repair didn't take long, and the technician was clear about explaining the problem and the repair. We were satisfied with the service and would recommend Blau.

Found Blau with Google search. Live person answered the call, pleasant and courteous. They had a technician to the house the same day. Troubleshooting was quick. Ordered parts and returned the next day. The work was neat and clean. Quality is very good. Cleaned up. Technician was knowledgeable and pleasant. Overall, very good service.

Using the Blau website, I sent an email at 7:30 a.m. requesting service for a clogged drain pipe causing a backup in my tub and received a call back within 10 minutes. In less than 2 hours the technician arrived and took care of the problem. He was knowledgeable, professional and friendly and offered tips to avoid the issue again. My bathroom was clean after the work - even though it was a messy job. I highly recommend Blau - from scheduling through providing great service, they are responsive, professional and friendly!

Had issues with our lateral sewer pipe exiting from the house to the street. Kyle, the Blau service tech, came to the house at the scheduled time and proceeded to open up the lateral which was blocked by an excessive amount of roots from a tree in the front yard. Kyle was polite, efficient and explained everything he was doing, telling me exactly how far the snake had gone beyond the house. He explained other possible reasons for the blockage but left with the issue resolved and the work area as clean as he found it upon his arrival. Job well done!

Blau came through big-time by professionally and relatively affordably tending to a sewer back up we had on Thanksgiving. Kyle was great.

While I set up the initial contact via the website and didn't hear anything (got it in well before 8pm), they did get back to me first thing in the morning and had somebody out quite early. Work was done by 10, double and triple checked, and all seems good. I've been looking for a plumber to start a working relationship with (old house with many issues), and it looks like I've found that in Blau.

Also had to replace water valves to accommodate water meter replacement.
Dave has been here before helping with other plumbing problems and he is just fantastic. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, an all around excellent person to have repairing the plumbing. Blau is an excellent company and Dave is an excellent, skilled representative.

Called and set up appointment to inspect plumbing and well pump system.we told them that we lived 45 minutes away from the location of the residence that they were to inspect.they said they would call us when they were on their way and they never did . They gave us a estimated time of arrival between 9 am and noon ......with 11:00 estimated time of arrival ...received a call at approx 11:30 stating that we were next on the list ............it is now 2pm and no call / no show ......We called them to find out what was going on and they told us we were next on the list .......still 2 and 1/2 hours later from 11:30 am .

The technician arrived early. Explained my options and took care of my leaky faucet.

They were able to send a plumber within one hour after dinner time! We had a clogged sink and Kyle was very professional, helpful, and got the job done. Good experience, would recommend.

Really appreciate these guys, quality and care are really high. Totally affordable by the way, they explained what the issue was along with my options to take care of it in plain English without trying to sell me on something I don't need or worry me into doing something that isn't necessary. Totally recommend you at least give them an opportunity to address your problem. Couldn't recommend them more!

I called Blau Plumbing to get a quote to hook up the water line to a replacement dishwasher I already purchased (swapping old one for a new one - so the water lines and everything already exist), and to also install an outdoor water spigot. I asked them to provide a ballpark quote over the phone, but they said since each job is unique they needed to send someone out at a cost of $29 + $20 for every 15 minutes needed to diagnose issue. Fine. The technician showed up today and wanted $1200 to hook up new dishwasher (I already bought dishwasher), and $1000 to install new spigot. The reason for the $1000 cost was because he had to drill a hole through the exterior wall (something the electrician I hired at the same to put in exterior outlet did in < 1 minute and cost me 1/10th of the price). I paid my $49 fee to get the quote and moved on.

We have used this service twice, and both times we have been very pleased with the quick service, professionalism, friendliness, and reasonable rates of the technicians. Just wanted folks to know that I *cannot* trust the scheduled times from Blau. In my experience they repeatedly assigned, only to reset, scheduled service windows. They also ignored text messages and were not prompt in communication.

We had a really good experience all the way around. After a power outage in our area, the water heater pilot would not re-light. Since neither of my husband nor I knew the first thing about gas water heaters, we called around. Samantha answered our initial inquiry call and was super nice. Had a great phone personality and responded to all questions. She sent us a technician the same night and even called to let us know when he was on his way. Steve was also great. He was met with a little barking by our boxers, but he said he was a dog lover and didn't let that bother him. He was quick, thorough and professional - even while wearing his COVID mask, which was much appreciated. He didn't make it awkward at all. He explained what happened and what he fixed. We will definitely look forward to using this company again in the future. Happy clients!

Excellent service. I've used Blau in the past and have been completely satisfied with the service they provide. Appointment times are convenient and they call prior to their arrival. In this case the service was to replace a sump pump. I was given a choice of pumps at different price points. Total cost for the work is explained up front.

I have used Blau Sudden Service for many years for my plumbing needs and repairs. Every experience has been a great experience. The service people are courteous and very knowledgable and helpful. They let me know exactly what is going to be done and the cost beforehand. There has never been a probem with their work in my home. I espceially enjoyed seeing a journeyman teaching an apprentice on one of my jobs. With this type of training, I know that their level of quality will stay very high.

They quickly responded to my request to resolve an issue with my hot water heater. Within an hour of my service call they were at my house and a few hours later had my requested work done. They provided my options and answered all of my questions before they began any work.

Theo came to fix an issue with our water softener that was installed last month. We had 5 inches of water sitting on top of the salt, which was not normal. After various tests, he reset the flow based on our hard water needs, which should take care of the problem. Theo was very knowledgeable and informative as to what the cause appeared to be. He had an apprentice with him who was learning some important steps to take when on a call. Very professional. Blau is a reliable company and we will call them again when necessary.

They installed a water heater in my house and they left without testing to make sure there wasn't a gas leak. Not acceptable! Had to call the fire Department. Plus to file a complaint you have to email them and wait 10 days for a response.

Kyle did a great job explaining the cause of the problem and explained in detail how to perform routine maintenance to avoid the same issues arising again. He was very informative about certain future concerns and how they could be dealt with. It's never any fun when you need a plumber but if you need one, they are the ones to call. Kyle was excellent.

Needed some drain pipes cleaned out. Blau quoted us a great price. The plumber they sent over was prompt, clean and very polite. Did exactly what they said they said they would do, for the price they quoted. Work even has a warranty (Bonus!).

Dave provided immediate service when our Furnaces quit working in a near emergency situtation (17 degrees outdoors). He arrived with all necessary equipment and efficiently repaired what was needed. When our hot water heater broke Blau came out and made a temporary fix until the new one could be ordered. They applied the cost from the fix to our total charge. They came out when promised and worked neatly and professionally to complete the replacement.

We became aware of a problem with our sump pump system when the battery backup system started alerting us at about 6:15 p.m. We called Blau Plumbing, and within approximately one hour they had a technician (Steve) at our home. We have a complex primary and backup pump arrangement, and at that time of evening all of the necessary parts were not immediately available. Steve installed a temporary fix in case it rained more that night. He then returned promptly (8:30 a.m.) the next morning to install the permanent fix, which appears to be as good or better than the original. The cost was a bit toward the high end, but for the timeliness and quality of the work, was worth it to us. Steve answered all questions and cleaned up the work area very thoroughly. We will continue to consider Blau Plumbing for future plumbing needs.

It was -40 degree wind chills this morning and 50 degrees in the house when I woke up. I know all service people were going to be busy today, but Steve was able to get out to my house within a couple hours of calling. Steve got right down to business, diagnosed the problem and got my furnace going in 45 minutes. Work area was as clean when he left as it was when he arrived.

He cleaned up after himself and provided a temporary solution until parts were available to permanently solve the problem. I had an emergency situation with water running from the supply pipe under my bathroom sink and I was unable to turn off the water. I called Blau and they sent someone within the hour - David LaChappelle. He was excellent. He explained everything that needed to be done offering recommendations, the cost and how he arrived at the cost. He made a special effort to remove materials blocking the faucet and was done pretty close to the estimated time without cost overruns. Wonderful service. When you call Blau for service, ask for Dave.

I was dealing with a slow leak and Blau was able to Identify and fix the problem with professionalism and courtesy. I would use them again if the need arises.

Very professional, super friendly. I have not had working outdoor spigots for years. He replaced them with new ones, showed me how they work and how to shut the water off and on. Cannot wait to start washing the cars. Highly recommend.

Buyer Beware: They do offer fast service but are very overpriced. I had a plumber propose a solution that wasn't even the problem, then use their hand to rip open a 4x4 hole in the ceiling (did not patch up ceiling), and fix a leaky pipe for $1,000.

Strongly suggest getting other quotes.

I have used Blau Heating and Air for years. They are honest, reliable, and will go out of there way to see that the situation is resolved.

TLDR: My rating is based on the value and poor communication/never on time. Total expense was $2K. Was told they would look into refunding but they back pedaled on that. You can get better prices/service elsewhere.

I had sewer backing up and needed someone to help clear the line. I was originally told they would come between 6-9 pm that day but they called me at 8 pm saying they wouldn’t make it and would have to reschedule for 9-12 the next day. They ended up arriving an hour and half late. I had to call to ensure they were still coming.

The two stars earned were for Dave. He was very nice and professional. He installed a new access point and had someone stop by with an auger to clear the line. It turned out the sewer pipe had froze in a section. And they would reschedule to clear the line. I ended up thawing and clearing the line myself. The dispatcher called me and said she would look into a partial refund. To be clear, I didn’t ask for any refund. It was offered. I hadn’t heard anything further so followed up. I was then told that the refund was denied because everything was done that was asked and “sewage was raining on him”. That’s where I got irritated because that was a very big exaggeration. I have videos of the dripping. There was not a lot dripping and I even helped clear/dispose the water that came out when he cut the pipe. Also, you’re a plumber responding to a sewage backup call.

I don’t think everything that was done warranted over $2K. You can get better value elsewhere.

Other than being a little later than the 9-12 time frame, I was very happy with the Tech Kyle. Listened to what I told him was the issue. Was quick to do the work, clean, cleaned up afterwards.

We called in the morning, because our water heater was broken. The receptionist said there would only be a $29 travel fee (very reasonable) and then $20 for every quarter hour for the diagnosis (reasonable). When the technician arrived, he diagnosed the problem and said that it would be $375 total to fix the problem. My wife and I both thought this would be a major fix requiring hours of time and the part to fix the problem must be very costly. This was not the case. It took him only minutes to repair the problem and I found out on the internet that the part costs very little money. It appears that this company is one that preys on people who are in crisis. I can only imagine what they would charge if it was in the middle of the night.

I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I had to pay someone else to fix their mistakes, after paying them a higher fee than others quoted.

I found this company through a third party listing on Craigslists in September 2022. I called to have a drain cleaning in the basement were all the sinks connect together to outlet. Kyle was my tech.

First, there is no standard fee (or even ballpark range) for a drain cleaning, so be prepared to be surprised. Which is probably why they don't quote over the phone and charge a trip charge, so you won't shop around.

Second, if your home isn't a new construction be prepared to be upsold to make it so. As simple drain cleaning turned into an up sell to redo a large section of my pipes. After I declined the upsell, it was pretty much quiet quitting as the new lingo goes, to do the minimum to get out as quickly as possibly; despite me paying for an hour worth of services.

I would have left a 3 star review, if it was a simple disagreement of approach and I got my drain cleaned.

However, in the process several pipes were damaged and to add insult to injury, when I check back again after he left it was backed up again.

If you have a recent construction, I'm sure the service is great. But they don't seem to know how to work with older homes without first up selling you and then making things worst to force you to be upsold.

I had a clogged storm drain they were able to unclog the drain within a short time and answered all questions the price however was higher than I was expecting but I needed it done so O well

I had Blau heating come to give me quote to replace a furnace. The Daves were very professional, explained everything about the furnace requirements and gave me options for the replacement. They were very knowledgeable, experienced and easy to understand.

Blau Plumbing Inc. honored our Service Maintenance Agreement (furnace and air conditioner), after their acquisition of Air Comfort. Building a trusting relationship with a brand new company can be difficult and disappointing at times. But, the professionalism and knowledge of the Blau Team put our minds at ease, right from the start! From the Appointment manager to the techs that work on and maintain our 2 units, we have been extremely satisfied. Appointments are given with 2 hour windows and tech (or dispatcher) always keeps in contact with us, if a delay problem develops at an earlier job. You're never left hanging, wondering if someone will show up on the day of your appointment. A tech named Theo has done maintenance work at our home many times and he is always neatly dressed, friendly and willing to answer any questions my husband might have. I like this company. Very prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. I've used them before, to install a new Trane furnace and A/C, two years ago. It needed regular maintenance and cleaning, because I neglected to have Blau come out sooner.
The Technician, Dave, was very professional and relaxed. I asked him several questions and I received my answers. In other words, his answers weren't overly technical, and I had no problem understanding him. I was truly impressed with his level of expertise and would recommend this company to my friends and family. On a side note, I left while Dave was here and he completed the work, without me watching.
In closing, I am happy that I found this Company, because they stand-by their products and services.
I have to mention, that Dave had his mask on the entire time he was here. I never saw him without the mask covering his nose and mouth! That was important to me and it shows they care about their customers, like me.

The serviceman was on time and friendly. He explained what was going to happen before he started. Thru the process of cleaning the basement drain, I was updated along the way what was happening. He finished in a timely manner and cleaned up his work area. The cost was less than what I had anticipated. You can't go wrong with Blau.

I will not call Blau for any new job. The actual work the plumber did took only 5 minutes. I supplied the part. The diagnosis was already made by people who delivered new fridge and found that a valve in the basement needed to be replaced in order to stop the water going into the icemaker line connected to the old fridge which was to be disconnected and recycled. Recycling companies want the icemaker line disconnected before they can take the old fridge. Still Mickey charged for already-made diagnosis which was instantaneously confirmed by him. He charged 204 dollars even though I supplied the part. He insisted on payment before the work began which is like showing lack of trust in the customer. If I had known that the work was going to take only 5 minutes, I would have paid the trip charge and diagnosis fee and not signed the contract. Mickey could not accept credit card on the spot, so all information on the card including the security code was read by him to their staff member on phone. No explanation of the charge was given (no breakup). I was told on phone that the technician would tell the price after visiting home. This allows plumbers to quote whatever they want. What the plumber did was exactly same as what is in YouTube videos for exactly same problem. Next time I will contact plumbers who leave their business cards at Menards. A plumber charging for every 15 minutes would have been much cheaper for me even with a higher trip charge plus a mandatory 30-minute labor charge. I was told that Blau does not have an hourly rate, a quote is given for the job. I am not going to call them for a new job. Blau guarantees work for only 30 or 90 days depending on what it is. There are really bad reviews of Blau on Yelp. Some businesses respond to online comments from customers, but Blau does not.

I must start of by saying that the experience with Blau had to better because the company that we initially called was a complete nightmare. And off course the problem started on the coldest day of the winter.

This was a difficult problem to diagnose because it occurred only on occasions and it was hard to duplicate while the technician was here. But the technician stayed in touch with us and doggedly pursued answers from the manufacturer(Lennox). After getting answers from the manufacture, the technician(Steve) solved the problem in a timely manner.

At this point, we are very satisfied with the results.

Anytime I have an issue with my plumbing or HVAC I only call Blau, they do quality work in a timely fashion and always clean up after the job is completed. The prices are extremely fair, the technicians explain everything that they are doing and have been very respectful, well spoken, and honest when detailing the work that needs to be done, five stars all the way!

I will say the company did come on call for an emergency a few years back, that was what we felt was a good thing, but, at a real hefty expense. The furnace went out because of a snow storm, and we were told they couldn't repair it, and we needed a new one. Feeling we had no choice, we went over the options, and the tech showed us one which would be Energy efficient and was state of the art.
After the install, we noticed it really didn't heat the house as well as the old one. We could deal with that. We were told parts and labor were covered for 5 years, ..turns out, that wasn't true, 2 years later, the furnace stopped working, and they did not honor the warranty. They stuck us for labor and cost of the new part. So, to sum it up, we paid close to 3000.00 for a furnace which we feel is inferior, and we will need o replace in less than 5 years.

I was happy that Blau could replace our leaking water heater the day after I called. The technician new what he was doing and replaced the water heater in about three hours. A nice experience overall.

We are satisfied customers who have worked with Blau on multiple projects, for installations and repairs. Most recently, they installed a whole home generator and did an exceptional job for us. And they are always very responsive when we call and show up promptly for appointments!

I had them replace a water heater 5 months ago at the high price of 2200 hundred it went out and wont relight. Now they want to charge me a 39.00 dollar service fee and 30 dollars an hour to diagnose the problem. Im very dissatisfied with the service update water heater went out again from wind and i couldnt figure out how to relight it he relighted it and charged me a service call. I paid enough for this. Part of reason for replace was wind blows out pilot. They said it wouldnt do it any more once i paid them 2200 to replace. But it still does. I cringe on windy days i dont want to pay them to relight it. They need to replace the vent on roof

Called Blau on saturday, July 5th, talked to a very nice Lady, Lee,their tech,Brad showed up within the hour. He accessed my problem and went right to work , unclogging my sink within the hour after I had tried for two days with a plunger and store bought remedies. They only charged me Fifty bucks . I do not know about anyone else but I think it was well worth the money. I will tell all my friends and family that their is still at least one professional company left in S.E, wis.

Our experience with Blau Plumbing and Heating was Great. We were in need of a repair on our water heater and after hearing our options to fix the old heater or replacing it, we were given time to make our decision. There was no pressure either way and cost was laid out for us. Later the same day we decided for replacement and we were the first on the list the next day. The following day the installation went very well and in three hours we had hot water again. The technician was excellent and did a great job making sure we were compliant with all new regulations. We were very happy and would recommend Blau to anyone needing help from this fine company.

I am a big fan of Blau Plumbing for the top notch quality of their service and their people! On Monday I used Theo from Blau Plumbing for the second time in three years. Each time the service was timely, neat and effective. Theo even managed to talk the local water department into coming out on an emergency basis to locate and shut off water service to my home. While I was told about the trip charge and 20 dollars every 15 min for diagnosis, I already had the problem figured out. The service tech wanted to charge over 500 dollars for there service. I told him I thought that was high. He said that is their standard charge. After I told him no I was charged 51.74 for him being in my house for 10 min. I decided to try and do this myself I got the parts from Home Depot for under 50 bucks and had the job done in less than an hour. If you want to use this service expect to pay top dollar. There are way cheaper options by far.

I Contacted Blau we have used them before and spoke with one of the owners he told me about havening plumbing done to a claw tube we was having installed and get a estimate on a new boiler the day of Vist they arrived but was under the impression that they was coming for a Kitchen remodel then gave my wife the feeling they was not interested in are service of what we want they gave a quote but it was extremely high I don't know we're the misunderstanding came in but the way my wife felt after they left we won't need there service again

We tried to turn on our furnace this September and we could not. We called Blau right away and they had a technician come out within the hour. This tech was the same tech that installed our system, Brian, which we are very pleased with. He diagnosed the problem very quickly and fixed it within minutes. We now have heat again. We are very pleased with the service from Blau Plumbing and recommend them highly.

We had a kitchen drain clog that was in a very tough spot to reach. It was blocking our sink, disposal and potentially our dishwasher. My hand snake wasn't helping and I got my hands dirty for 2 hours with no progress. It felt like an emergency, but it wasn't, so I left a message. early next morning Blau called and texted me. I contacted them and Hayden and his assistant were here by mid morning. They were both very kind and friendly. It cost us some money, but they got the right equipment to unplug the drain, and it was worth the peace of mind to fix the issue. They even gave me some free advice that saved me a bunch of money on a different problem we found.

Theo was our hero. He was able to stop and fix a leak that was occurring behind the wall of our shower. Theo had to remove some drywall to fix our issue, but left it so that we would be able to easily patch it. He even explained how to do it! I hope to never need a plumber again, but I would call Blau without hesitation if I did!

They were very fast. My basement flooded with the heavy rain and it broke my hot water heater. i called these guys. they were the third company i called and were able to get there the fastest. they were actually early and finshed the job immediately inless than 24 hiurs after callong tbem the job was done. i didn't get any estimates but it was only a couple hundred dollars more than the hot water i had i installed back in 2011 when it wasn't an emergency so when you factor inflation in nine years definitely don't think they were expensive. I definitely will be using them again when i need service

We've needed Blau's help twice in the past 6 months. Once for a new water heater, the other for a VERY stubborn bath clog that I couldn't get cleared. Both visits were great with quick, friendly, and courteous plumbers. I will use again if needed, and have recommended them to others as well.

I contacted Blau Plumbing because I had water leaking through the light fixture in the ceiling below the upstairs bathroom in our house.   Mickey, one of their service techs, came out early in the morning and promptly found the source of the leak.  Not only did he find the source of the leak, he clearly explained the problem to me.  Our pipes in that ceiling were very old and needed replacing.  The service tech worked through the morning and into the early part of the afternoon, replacing the pipes. He cleaned up after himself, and was kind and courteous.  The problem was taken care of by early afternoon.  I definitely would call Blau for my plumbing needs, because I am certain they would solve any plumbing problem that may occur in my home.

Leak of the drain pipe was messy and he fixed it in no time and also cleaned it up. Good professional job.

I had a great experience with Blau. They came the day after I called them (only because I wasn't available the first day). I had a leaking pipe behind my living room wall that was tough to get at. I wasn't expecting them to be able to fix it as it was so high up, a little above the ceiling. But sure enough, they did. Both the assessor and the actual plumber that did the work were very nice and friendly. I will use them again in the future.

Our sanitary sewer line from the house to the street has a long history of roots growing in the line and becoming blocked. We have been using Blau to clear the line chemical treat the line to kill the roots. Every year Blau comes and treat the sewer line and clears it if necessary. Blau arrived on time, was very pleasant, kept and left the area he was working clean. He was in and out within a half hour.

Blau was available same day, and Cass arrived on time as scheduled! His work ethic is unmatched. Not only did he solve our plumbing issue with our toilet (and it was an ugly scene), he stayed late into the night to confirm it was addressed, and at one point involved his leader to assist on-site. I so appreciated his perseverance and intellect, he was also incredibly friendly and informative the entire time. I couldn’t say enough about Cass and Blau. Thank you!

These guys charge service fee and diagnostic charge to come out. This is before any work is completed. Of course this is typical. However, they jack the price by double to prevent you from completing repair or in effort to ridiculously overcharge you. Called them yesterday to replace blower on furnace. They charged double what the next company charged. New tech said part is 128.00 and can get upto 145.00 max from distribution. Labor is 15min. Blau wanted 900.00. All in all the ran off with 78.00 in fees with no work done. Scams

Finding out on a Friday at 4:30pm that your hot water heater is broken isn't exactly the start to a weekend we had hoped for. We did a random google search and decided to give Blau a call based on reviews. They did not disappoint. The part we appreciated the most was that they took the time to explain things; understood our anxiety and ensured we knew all options prior to moving forward. A tech was at our house in less than 1 hour to diagnose the problem and provide an estimate. They worked with our schedule (knowing that we have 2 young children) and accommodated an install the very next morning. We love that they have normal Saturday hours - it saved us a lot of stress knowing that we wouldn't have to wait until Monday. Would definitely recommend Blau.

As part of our home inspection to sell our house the buyer requested we have an inspection of our furnace done by a HVAC professional. We called Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning Steve from Blau arrived to inspect our furnace. He did a thorough inspection and tested the heat exchanger and replaced a gasket. Gas line connection for a residential drier. 4 galvanized vent for residential clothes dryer, terminated to nearby window. Installed flexible gas connector, supplied by me with no drip leg on existing gas line which is required, to make code compliant. They didn't bother to make it code compliant. I wasn't there at the time, but should have been. The other person said they were ordering parts for 15 minutes in the van, then did work for about 40-45 minutes.
In addition, one week later, I had a licensed plumber over for a different issue and I mentioned it to him, he looked at it and said that It was installed incorrectly. Then I showed him the bill $375.00 and he commented that it was awfully high for what was actually completed.
I will never use them again!!

had an issue with a wireless thermostat that needed to be replaced, gave model number of what was needed and was told they would have furnace up that day. Guy comes without thermostat, says they don’t carry in truck, charged me $110
for absolutely nothing. Said it would be available on Monday (never got a call) they quoted $640 for thermostat and install, had it done for $300.

They also seem to come up under multiple names, if I had known it was Blau, I wouldn’t have had them come out.AVOID

My water heater failed right before going to bed. I started making calls to plumbing companies in the morning and wasnt anke to schedule and withthe first three I could not get an appointment for the same day unless I paid extra for emergency. This was not aat the middle of the night so I thought that was ridiculous! My next call was to Blau and they were able to get a plumber out within the hour! The plumber hit here in 40 minutes! He diagnosed the issue and unfortunately for me,it was a complete replacement. But, Mickey gave us a fair price and got the job done within several hours .. I also had them quite and take care of several other plumbing jobs I was putting aside. All in all, we are very happy with the service and I would definitely recommend them.

Leak under kitchen sink required replacement of garbage disposal. Kyle arrived shortly after heads-ip call that he was on the way. He diagnosed the problem but did not have a replacement garbage disposal unit on the truck. He left for about an hour and returned to finish the job--about an hour total time. Price seemed high but it was the next day after my call and a Saturday on a holiday weekend.

We have called on Blau twice now-once for a clogged garbage disposal and another time for a small gas leak from our water heater. Both times they were here within about an hour and promptly fixed the problems. The service people were so nice and explained what needed to be done. Will not hesitate to recommend to friends or use again when needed!

I have been having problems with my Trane furnace. Dave came out to look at it and basically stuck blau plumbing stickers all over it, my water heater, charged me $350 and said he couldn't find a problem. I ended up replacing it yesterday. Blau's quote said I had to pay for their maintenance plan in order to have a valid warranty from Trane. I chose to buy a Lennox through Costco. Much better value.

We had a pipe burst in our basement. We called Blau and they changed their schedule to come in that same morning and fixed the problem. The plumber was very courteous and professional. We are thankful for their help.

I was satisfied with the service I received from Brian and Blau heating and A/C. Our furnace stopped working and there was a question as to whether the warranty was still in force. Brian (tech) did some research and it was determIned our unit had an extended warranty so we were able to get our furnace working at a reasonable cost. Blau has previously serviced our water heater as well as solar panel. Each repair was done quickly as well as professionally.

They’re very professional to check and explain the leak and repair proposal to Client when project in progress. Also find out and tell the homeowner which leak should be responsibility of We Energies, to avoid client over pay the work. Many thanks to David L., with rich experience for nearly 30yrs in this sector, he is super helpful to assist me in communicating with We Energies Customer Service over phone to figure out the best solution, when I had limited knowledge on gas pipe leak problem. He also did very good job on his work. Strongly recommend on their quality service.

Over the years Blau has done a substantial amount of work for us. They will be returning this week to install a new outside central air unit. I have always found them to be professional, courteous and timely. The work done has always been above expectations.

This company’s response was immediate and very accommodating, which was shocking, and Hayden who came to unclog a kitchen sink was professional, fun, collaborative, educational I wish every young professional could watch this guy in action and this is a company I would call first and foremost just based on this experience

Blau (Theo) installed a toilet for my mother. She did not inform her adult children. She is elderly with dimentia. Anyone can see this. Theo charged her $1,778 for the toilet. That is two months of her fixed income. He told her he needed to pull a permit. Her city does not require a permit. The toilet is now the most expensive item in the entire house. A company with some integrity would have seen the situation and informed her that there were other options out there. I had my toilet replaced last year, full service, and paid $600 for toilet and installation. This is really disappointing to see Blau take advantage of someone like this. Disgraceful.

The sewer outlet pipe in my basement was clogged with roots, and the sewer backed up into my basement. There was 100+ gallons of sewage pooled in my basement. I needed help, fast. I googled plumbers in Milwaukee, and Blau was one of the first on the list. I called and spoke to Heather, who was professional and sympathetic. She arranged for a plumber to be at my house within 30 minutes. Joel arrived, and was professional and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the root cause of the problem in less than 20 minutes. He arranged for Kyle to come and address the problem. Kyle arrived in less than 30 minutes, and was already briefed on the details of what needed to be done. He immediately got to work, and within less than 30 minutes had cleared the outlet pipe and drained the pool back through my floor drain. He explained the root cause in detail, and provided advice on preventive maintenance that could be done to avoid the recurrence of the problem. He provided several options for preventative maintenance, and also provided his advice on which options were a priority, and which options were less critical. Later that day, Heather followed-up with a phone call to be sure that I was pleased with the service I received. What could have been a nightmare of a day for me, ended up being a day with a minor inconvenience thanks to the knowledge, professionalism, and customer focus of Blau. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone.

Kyle was knowledgeable, professional and sensitive to the home owner's behavior due to dementia. He went out of his way to be kind and thoughtful.

To start the the tech was supposed to arrive between 10am and 12pm, but didn't arrive until after 3pm. No call as a heads up either that they were running late so we were left in the dark there wondering if they would show until we just ended up calling ourselves to check. Then the issue was to repair a leak for underneath one of our sinks in our basement bar area but was told to just remove the existing plumbers putty and instead seal with silicone putty. I appreciate the notion to save us some labor costs but in all honestly we called a professional for a specific reason. TO HAVE THEM DO THAT. No matter how simple the task was. So instead we essentially paid a $60 service fee for advice. Not too thrilled about that. Would've rathered just paid the extra money to have it done and over with instead of paying for advice and then having to do it myself now. Not sure what the labor costs would have been but if within reason i would have been willing to pay it. My impression is that perhaps the tech was way behind schedule for the day and wanted to just move along and not sweat the easy stuff to try and get back on schedule. I'd be willing to negotiate a second opportunity if management is willing to send someone over again but this time waive the outcall truck fee entirely and we just pay for the labor only since we already paid what we paid today.

We had a water pressure issue, low flow. They got to us first thing Monday as weekend was booked. The technician was very helpful and located the problem and fixed it. Great work and kind service. It was a glogging in the water softener pipes. Check yours!

We are very pleased with the service we experienced after calling Blau. The technician showed up on time, was very complete in explaining what needed to be done, and more importantly ... why. The work was completed in short order and is very neat and compact. While I am sure we all wish that plumbing was a little less expensive, their rate was compatible and we will certainly call Blau again when any more work is needed.

We needed to replace our hot water heater that went out on Sunday, I was surprised and happy that someone answered the phone. I was able to schedule an appointment for the bet morning, they were fast, efficient, removed the old heater. I cannot say 1 negative thing. I would call them again in a heartbeat.

We discovered the need in the late afternoon, and Chuck had fixed the problem in the early evening. He listened well, agreed that we had identified the place he needed to work, and worked both effectively and efficiently. He left his work space in good condition.
Chuck was pleasant to us and to our pet rabbit. We admire and are grateful for his skill and quick availability.

My experience with Blau Sudden Service today was extremely pleasant. Being a former employee of Blau I know that customer service and customer respect is a high priority and expected from all their technicians. Chuck, their sewer and drain cleaner was super, very neat and curtious, very knowledgeable of his craft. Dispatch lady, Red, was also very pleasant and curtious and quick to schedule my appointment. The follow up call was also very pleasant and curtious. All and all my experience with Blau Plumbing today was five star. I will recommend them to friends and others. I just wanted to share that all of the staff I dealt with during my recent heating system repair and new hot water heater installation were great. The guys were prompt, friendly and thorough. Woke up at 4 and went to take a shower and surprise, no hot water. Had an on line chat and was told they would get back to me about 7. Got the call a little after 7 and about 45 minutes later Mickey was at my house. He inspected what needed to be done, which turned out to be a bit more than we realized, gave us a price and by 11 AM we had hot water again. Mickey did a fantastic job, explained everything that he was doing and answered all my questions. HIGHLY recommend Blau. Hope if you need service you get Mickey.

Prompt, professional and friendly service

My sink was not draining due to a clog way far down in the pipe. The serviceman was prompt but did not introduce himself, just got to work right away. Not a big deal but a little weird. He gave me two options, fix the clog for a small price or replace the whole pipe for a large price. Since his communication skills were lacking, I had a hard time knowing what the right choice would be since he did a lackluster job of explaining each option. I went with the first option of just fixing the clog. So far so good, sink is draining properly!
