Mango Plumbing & Sewer Service

All I can say is: research, research, research your problem on Google and YouTube so that you can practically do it yourself before you call them. They WILL try to rip you off if they think you're an easy target. I'm done with them.

Ummm never used their service.. Though I have asked a dozen times to get a disposal unit put in.
For 2 years and I know the owner... Our kids train in the same place.. Yet just ignored lol.
Pish. It is what it isn't.. Thornton and Grooms did put a water heater in a couple of weeks ago.

They tried to rip me off. Came over and told me they couldn’t find a part to repair a bathroom faucet. Told me I would have to purchase a brand new one and they would charge me an additional 229 to install it. Gave me some other rip off costs to replace a toilet. I hate that I had to come out 59 for the service call, but will definitely share my bad experience.

I called Mango 🥭 to make an appt and they told me they would be out between the hours of 12-4 when to my surprise they returned my call & said they could be there sooner & were on their way, They were at my door within minutes! Will was the technician who arrived he was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He worked diligently to actually unclog my toilet versus only trying a little. Some plumbers are disingenuous and attempt to replace the whole toilet just to get more money! He gave me a reasonable price and solved the problem in about 10 minutes! He even recommended more quality toilets on the market. He went above and beyond for a great price. Definitely will request service from Mango again if ever needed!

The level of service and professionalism by this company is top notch! The prices are the cheapest in the area and they provide the very best service! Recently had a water heater installed same day by Russ, whom was very professional, polite, and explained everything to me from A-Z. He did fantastic work. Great technician, and a great company! Fantastic customer service!

I was very satisfied with their service they showed up when they said they would and did a great job I would recommend them. Their service man was very conscientious and cleaned up nicely.

My basement was flooded and Mac was great! He spent the time to make sure everything was fixed including checking out why my backup water pump didn't work (that's another story). The price was reasonable.

let me start by saying I am really Disappointed with Mango server. I have a house in Dearborn Heights and I had a big problem with roots. I have spent more than $1000 over the past year to get plumbers out to unclog the drain. Finally this summer I decided on throwing around $3000 to replace the sewage from the house to city drain. A plumber came out from different (highly rated on Angines list, i wish i contract them the job), he did free camera inspection with a quote on how much it will be to replace the pipe. he recommended replacing only 30' from, 20 feet before the roote investation and 10 feet after. he didn't recommend going all the way to the house especially there was deck and a big tree. by looking at the camera inspection, the pipe was in ok state under the deck and the tree. he quotes me 3200-3500 to do the job. instead of me going with his quote and giving him the job, i thought i should ask multiple quotes from different companies. so that what i did, and i came to Mangal plumbing. Michael A. Mango came out and he said that we can dig under the deck and slide 4 pipe inside the original 6 pipe, and he only has to dig under the deck. i was impressed that he can do that and replace all the pipe from the house to the city. so he gave me quote for 2,800 which I thought it was a Great DEAL. we setup a date to come out and dig. He came and did the job. then at the end of the day i talked to him over the phone ( i was at work that day, biggest mistake), over the phone, i had my credit card ready to pay him. then he was telling me the job went great and everything is good, and he had to dig some of the roots out????? i was ... what roots?? our agreement was to replace the pipe from the house all the way to the city line... he said well the city inspector didn't let me push the 4 pipe all the way to the city line... i asked, so how much did you push the pipe. he replied from the house up to 10' after the tree ..... i said: what ??? the problem is 30' from the tree, i saw it in the camera, the roots clogging the pipe is around 30' from the tree (60' from the house)..... WOOOW he told me that by mistake, I could have paid him without knowing that. later with multiple phone calls and me offering another $700 on top of 2800 to finish the job right, HE NEVER WANTED TO FINISH THE JOB.... finally I ended up paying him $1300 for replacing the pipe that was already in good condition, and I still have a problem with root. NOW I have to pay another company to come out and finish the job another $3500 ...... DONT DEAL with THOSE People.... I am so disappointed.
Job Summary: replace the sewage from my house all the way to the city line. I live in Dearborn Heights and when they build the houses in 1960, they thought is a good idea to use clay sewage. now after 60 years, they start to leak and tree roots get inside the pipe and clog the drain.

My husband called Mango Plumbing to come out and quote moving our washer and dryer to the basement, which requires gas line and water line work. We waited 2 weeks from them to come out and quote since it wasn't urgent. A guy came and looked around and said he would call with a quote the next day. Unfortunately after calling them for 3 days they finally called and said since they are so busy they are not interested in doing our work. Very unprofessional on their end. Will not call again in the future.

My concern (supply line was leaking from bathroom to basement and I had water everywhere) was resolved completely by the gentleman (Frank) who came to the rescue! I am very happy with this company and will continue to utilize their business and recommend them to friends and family. If you are looking for someone to take care of you, please give these guys a call.

Great company. Would absolutely call again. We needed the pipes replaced from the bathtub into the main drain and the toilet flange replaced. We called and scheduled an appointment and Frank came out on time. He was polite and completed the job quickly. I was worried he wouldn't be done in time for me to leave and pick my children up from school but he finished well before i had to leave. I am completly satisfied and would recommend them to anyone who needs plumbing work done.

I have used Mango several times. I have had a new jot water heater installed, faucets changed, and they have fixed clogged drains! I highly recommend this company.

They came right in and got to work. Worked quickly and professionally

Mike came out to the house to access our basement bathroom project on a Thursday. He said he would try and give us an estimate on Friday. After not hearing back from him I called their company on Tuesday and told them I never heard back from Mike. I think his name was Jason assured me he was going to make sure the next day he would remind Mike to contact me. It's been well over a month now and I never heard back from Mike. A lot of good reviews on this company, not sure why I had such a disappointing experience with them.

From the first phone call through the end of the service Mango plumbing was superb.

I needeed a plumber who worked with Home Warranty companies....I called a few and it seemed to be difficult to get one that was willing to work with the warranty company. But, when I called Mango the guy was very friendly and mentioned that he worked with them before. Russ was the plumber who came out, he was very knowledgeable and fixed the issue quickly. I was very impressed and from now on I will be calling Mango (hopefully I wont need a plumber anytime soon but if I do they will be my choice).

Quick same day service. Fair pricing. Did leave a large puddle of bleach water behind though.. overall would recommend

Terrible service. The owner will do anything to protect his son, who is awful at his job. Didn't even fix the problem and was extremely rude. Came late, was in a rush, didn't listen to our concerns. Called to complain and nothing was done about it. I can't even believe people this dishonest and awful exist. If you want a half-assed job done by rude people, call them!

They were timely and excellent and the price was about as reasonable as plumbing can get.

Michael was nice and professional and he got the job done when considering he was working with pipes and handles that are 50+ years old.

I looked at a few plumbing companies before I chose Mango and the wait was worth it . The crew showed up when they said they would went right to work and repiped my whole house in 1 day. granted I don't live in a mansion
but the guys worked all day to make sure the job was done, and done right.
They took the time to make sure the quality of the job was there. They gave me a very fair price that didn't change. Would I recommend Mango Plumbing.......YOU BET, and if I have any other issues they'll be the first ones I call.

Our water heater was about 15 years old and leaking. I was referred to Mango by my father-in-law who had services done in the past. I am so glad I took his advice. Mango Plumbing was very professional, polite, knowledgeable, affordable and installed on the same day I called! Their quote was for a new tank, installation and disposal of the the old tank. I also got a discount for the referral 👍 Thank you Mango for everything, you have one very happy customer. I’ll be sure to refer you to anyone with plumbing concerns.

Best decision I made. I had a broken pipe and the insurance company sent out their 'experts' (contracted plumbers) to inspect and determine cause etc. They took 1 picture and were more interested in getting me a quote for their work. I called Mike at Mango and he came out the same day to do a quote. He determined the cause and investigated the damage, unlike the other guys. He ever so politely explained that the other plumbers idea was a bad idea and then he explained how he could fix it the proper way. His way sounded more involved, but his bid was well below the other guys. I hired him on the spot and he was able to come out 2 days later and fix my issue. While he was in my home he was extremely professional, even stated he might be able to fix it a different way for less, but I opted for the original plan for my own peace of mind. He was even able to do some additional minor things I thought about between my quote and him coming to do the job. I will have him come out again in a week or so to do my new sink/garbage disposal/etc. Hands down best call i made in a long time.

Great work, clean and professional!

I had water backing up into my sink and we called and had Mango Plumbing come out. They cleared the initial clog and reported their is a second blockage behind the first. The tech told us the snake was being blocked by something in the drain. Possibly the drain pipe broke due to age. They didn't have the time or tools to continue fixing this larger problem which is understandable. This is where our problem began.
3 different times I called to schedule the return visit. They would say they will call back each time and never do. The reason we called and paid was never resolved. I still have a sink I can't use after we paid $275 to have the clog removed (clearly in hindsight we should not have paid this until the drain was fully running. It felt right at the time to pay for the work done up to that time).

After a week, we've had to call and pay another company to survey the problem. Which means I have to pay another company to snake, and camera because no one is going to do work without diagnosing the problem.
I would recommend finding a company that can complete the whole job so you don't have to pay to have the same work to be done twice.

If you had a basic clog, and it turns out to be nothing more then that. Yeah they are fine and the people that come out are nice.

Love these guys. They're very respectful and honest people. We've had them out here twice for random household maintenance issues including installing a new dishwasher and taking care of our gas valve that broke on our hot water tank. The prices are fair and the work is exceptional. We will be back again! Thank you!
