Called to schedule a low faucet water pressure repair and Catonsville sent someone out the same day. The courteous plumber solved the problem in 45 minutes.

The plumber appeared promptly and assessed the job(leaky shower head). The labor price quoted for the repair seemed very high and did not include parts - just labor. I called the office to ask for an explanation of the cost. The person I spoke to said someone would call back before the end of the day. Never heard from anyone.

I tried to get Catons Plumbing to come to my house for an estimate four times. It took them the fourth appointment to show up at my house. The person who came to my house could not understand what I needed him to do. Before I even started showing him what I needed, I informed him I needed an estimate before he began. When we finished walking through what needed to be done, he said ok, I will get my tools. When I asked him for his estimate, he said: An estimate? He took no notes! I told him nevermind and informed him he can go. I went to their office and spoke to a manager less than a week ago to inform him of my experience. He informed me he would look into it but he was very busy at that time to look into it right then. I have yet to hear from him. They have my contact information on file if they wish to contact me about my experience.

Callled for a clogged waste drain, explained what needed to be done as per my plumber whobeas out of town, technician shows up, didn't bring in tools from the van, I brought him down the basement, and he acted like he was overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. Proceeded to plunge the laundry sink that was clogged, which I explained, I had already tried, he then said he wanted t oik save me money because they charge $719 to use the electric snake, I told him that's what I needed to be done, somehow it took the tech 5 hours to clear out the drain, because he seemed like he didn't fully know how to operate the machine, they then took of 25% of the bill plus an additional $75. $497.00 for a waste drain is still highway robbery. Then his snake was stuck in my pipe, he suggested he cut my pipe to get it out....I talked him out of it. Started at 4pm left at 945pmThis company pretty much price gouged us for a job that wasn't that big.

I set up an appointment to have a toilet replaced in my home with a new one. The installation and service went great, and the work could not have been done faster, but communication could have been better and price was more than I expected.I wasn't informed ahead of time of the flat rate installation pricing or that having Catons choose and purchase a replacement toilet would include considerable markup. I was hoping to go with someone local because it would be cheaper, but ended up spending than I would have if I went with a big box store. I also don't even know what model toilet was installed.

Catons was very responsive and arranged for a plumber to work the next day following a late afternoon service request. Mr..Jordon arrived promptly at the scheduled time, with a Catons representative calling us two times to confirm we were home and that he was on the way. Mr. Jordon did a great job servicing our (very) clogged kitchen drain. He patiently worked through several difficulties, cleaned and inspected all of the affected pipes, then checked his work, and all of the clean-outs, before cleaning up the areas in which he had worked. Mr. Jordon is very personable and is an excellent representative for Catons. We will certainly use your services again, should the need arise.

Had a same day visit from Mr. Jordan. The job was completed within a 4 hour window. Clean up was quick and done throughout the installation of customer supplied shower. Unfortunately, the price jumped $200.00 more upon completion then had the cost of additional materials added to the invoice.

I would give zero stars if possible. They scheduled us for a 5-7 in the evening window. The person didn't come until almost 8, then looked around at our problems (leaking under kitchen sink from faucet and dishwasher backing-up issue).He said he couldn't fix the dishwasher issue because he didn't have the part (a simple, standard part used by all dishwashers). Then had trouble even figuring out the 2nd issue. I had to walk him through everything to get him to understand the problem, when all a professional would have to do is look at it and see where the leak is coming from and tell us what the solution would be. That's why we call you guys, because we don't know. It was like he wasn't even a plumber, it was bizarre. He had no idea what he was doing.So then he spent an hour and 45 minutes taking apart my faucet and water lines, and staring at the under-sink area silently for minutes at a time, only to finally tell me at 9:45 that he actually couldn't fix it because he didn't have the right size water lines. Everything under our sink is standard, no weird sizes of anything, so I was baffled as to why he wasn't able to do anything. Then he left, and the leak, which had been steady but manageable and slow enough that we were able to keep on top of it with a large cup to catch it, had turned into a GUSHER. He left it way worse than it was when he arrived.I called Caton back the next morning to speak with a manager, and was transferred to a voicemail of a man who didn't give a name so I don't know who he was. I left a voicemail letting him know I had some concerns about our appointment and never received a call back. I wanted to give them a chance to make it right and maybe send someone else out, but with him not even having the courtesy to call me, I know now that I'll never call Caton Plumbing again.Luckily I found another company to come out on short notice the next day, and the plumber who came knew what was causing it right away (and it wasn't what the Caton guy told me). Don't bother with them, there are plenty of better companies.

The technician was timely, courteous, and knowledgeable. He discussed possible solutions and then made a final recommendation. Work was completed just below the estimated amount. We have happily used them for all our plumbing needs.

I called Catons Plumbing after a frozen pipe burst in the wall of my house. They scheduled a plumber for the next morning. By late afternoon, I had not heard from them so I called back. Because of the number of calls, they had to schedule me for the next afternoon. I was not happy about that, but Sharon said they had plumbers working around the clock.When Bruce came within the rescheduled time, he quickly replaced the broken pipe section and insulated the pipe that could be reached. He also noticed another problem with my garbage disposal and fixed that as well. Bruce was thorough and professional, especially during a time of plumbing crises.

My dishwasher would not drain water. It is relatively new and in good condition. After inspecting the issue, I called Catons and explained the problem in detail. I specifically notified the receptionist that dishwasher pump or clogged drain hose are likely causing the problem. The receptionist confirmed that it is something that they specialize in.The tech showed up 40 minutes late after the 2 hour scheduled window. The tech appeared to have never seen the inside of the dishwasher. He also did not seem to know how the dishwasher operates. He asked me for assistance on how to expose the drainage opening of the dishwasher. When I explained to him that he needs to remove several screws to unscrew the panel to expose the drain pipe, he told me that he is not authorized to perform appliance repair.Everyone was very polite in the process, and I was not charged; however, they wasted my time. This could have been averted if they would have explained to me that they are unable to replace dishwasher pumps when I called.

Am very satisfied with service provided by Catons, from callback on first contact, follow up before appointment, to work done by technician. All employees were most courteous and professional. The technician was attentive to even the smallest details to ensure my convenience, user experience and overall satisfaction.

We had a pleasant experience with this company. Our water heater's supply hoses failed at 3 in the morning and we were scrambling to find a company that would come over as an emergency. This company answered the call of duty. Our plumber Bruce Jordon immediately assessed the situation and rushed over with the parts to resolve the issue. He noted that the water heater was not installed correctly and they should not have used supply hoses since the space was too small which will cause others to fail. It was installed correctly this time and we're confident that we will never experience something like this ever again. I definitely recommend them.

Service was excellent from the call center to the plumber who came out. Very respectful of my home, made no mess, was in and out quickly and fixed my ejection pump. Used them twice, will use again.

We had a toilet back up and start to spew sewage on the floor. Called Cantons at 1:30 PM and had a plumber on site by 4 PM. He diagnosed the problem as a clogged exhaust pipe to our septic. The clog was difficult to clear due to multiple 90 degree turns in the line, After 3 hours our tech called for assistance and another Cantons plumber arrived to assist. He felt the snake they were using could not effectively clear the blockage. At 10:30 PM we called it a night. Shortly after 8 AM I received a call that a plumber was on the way. After about three hours work he was finally able to clear the blockage, run a camera down the line to confirm and we were back in business. After three techs and nine hours of work the price was as originally quoted. All the techs, and the dispatchers were competent, courteous, and professional. They keep me informed every step of the way as the worked the problem to a successful conclusion. I am very happy with this company and strongly recommend them.

My wife and I decided to call Catons Plumbing again after the good work they did back in December when the shower socket in our master bathroom ruptured and caused a significant amount of water damage. Catons was contracted through our HOA Metropolitan Management Group and they responded immediately. They identified and fixed that problem while the rest of the issues were handled by our HOA.After making the appointment last week the technician, Efrain, showed up well within the 8AM - 12PM window. Efrain was very polite, respectful, and accommodating to our needs. We had four minor issues that needed to be addressed: Scorching hot/no cold water in the kitchen sink, slow leak in downstairs bathroom sink, master bathroom shower faucet, and air in the line of the guest bathroom.Efrain was able to address the kitchen sink and downstairs bathroom sink issues effectively and thoroughly. He showed us the details of exactly what the problems were, laid out all the details with pricing to address them, and proceeded to perform the work. Efrain did an excellent job fixing the downstairs issues and we are looking forward to him coming back next week to address the upstairs bathroom shower issues. He did an excellent job and we are extremely satisfied with the results.

I had called Len the plumber and they charged me $220.00 to diagnose the problem and they were going to charge me $700.00 to repair the problem. Catons came out immediately for free and repaired the problem for $230.00. They were professional and I did not feel ripped off and I was confident that they were doing a great job. Companies like this are the reason plumbers have a reputation for being unscrupulous.My shower wouldn’t turn off. We called Catons since they have emergency service and while we waited, we did a simple google search and found that this is a common problem and the only thing that needs to be replaced is the faucet cartridge. We had already removed the handle and wall plate to shut off the water (since our main water shut off is stuck in the open position) by the time the plumber from Catons arrived.He looked at it for less than a minute and somehow came to the wild conclusion that they would need to cut a hole in the wall of the walk-in closet adjacent to the bathroom so that they could replace the entire pipe due to “corrosion” (there is ZERO corrosion btw, the house is only 8 years old). Obviously that would have cost thousands, would have been a huge inconvenience for us and most likely would have damaged our house. We asked couldn’t you try replacing the cartridge first before going to such extreme measures. He responds “ehhh well yeah that could be it”. He gave us an estimate of $500 to replace the cartridge: $375 for labor and $125 for the part. Unbelievable.I’m not one to mess around trying to do things myself when it comes to plumbing but there is no way on Gods green earth I was going to pay hundreds of dollars to a company that just blatantly lied to our faces and tried to rip us off. We would have gladly paid a fair price for the repair but the experience with Catons pushed us to try doing it ourselves. It could not have been easier. Pop one cartridge out, pop a new one in, replace the faucet handle. Simple. $45 for the part, about $30 for the rest for tools and caulk, and 10 minutes of our time.If we didn’t know better and hadn’t done our research, this company would have ripped our walls and pipes up, majorly disrupted our lives and charged us thousands for the privilege when it wasn’t even necessary. Then still trying to charge $125 for a $45 part and $375 for 10 minutes of labor is just the icing on the cake.After this experience, I will never use this company or recommend them to anyone. There are plenty of trustworthy companies out there to choose from that don’t try to cheat their customers. I can’t even imagine how many customers they get away with cheating.

I'm posting a neutral review because they made a simple job complicated and left me with a more extensive sewage clean up job than when they arrived - but they did work to resolve things with me. I had a backed up drain and they had a crew out in a hour (excellent). Cost was $549. They proceeded to work on the drain (easy access, concrete floor, unfinished basement). Unfortunately part of this effort involved them running water down it - and as the drain was blocked this obviously meant water all over the basement - and in a far more extensive way than my original spill this am after a shower. Once they found the blockage and brought it back to the basement, they unraveled it from the snake and left that on the floor in the water. So now i do have sewage in my flooded basement. They assumed that they could make any mess they needed to because the restoration service would cover it - they'd assumed i'd wanted this and had already called for it. But i didnt want it and it's not covered by my home owners insurance. Also, i hadn't needed this type of service before they arrived. So $800 estimated charge for that. On top of that, the bill to unblock the drain had become $768 - due to needing another reel - and not ok-ed with me before it was done. To their credit, once i pointed out these issues (flooding, sewage), they shop vacced the basement and sprayed 409 everywhere (they used my shopvac). They did not remove any of the debris they had brought up with the snake. They did not empty my shopvac. For a more expansive spill in a finished basement with a lower home insurance deductible this service would be great. But that wasnt what i was looking for. Lady in the main office was great. Plumbing manager Bill called me and we worked a resolution to the situation.

charge $900 for just main line clean out, where any other plumber will charge $200-300, rip off service. Broke half of the pipe. Haired another plumber to fix their poor expensive job. Don't use them!!!!

Caton's was just awesome! At every stage, from getting the estimate and telling us what we had to do in terms of prepping. We needed our water line replaced (the pipe from water supply to our house). In our case things were complicated due to the bizarre way that the existing installation was done. Unfortunately, they could not fish out the pipe and instead had to do much drilling/digging.It was a very tough and long job. The Caton's crew worked hard, were very professional and very nice. The price was lower than other quotes I received and I'm glad I chose Caton's since I'm not entirely sure the other (more expensive) quotes would have worked for our difficult situation.Way to go!!

Catons not only responded right away but sent a technician within an hour!Our technician #2765 promptly identified the problem and was very respectful of our home, friendly, professional and courteous - explaining the costs up front and talking us through the troubleshooting and remediation process.We will definitely use this company again!

We had a clogged shower drain. Chuck and his assistant were here in just over an hour. They were both friendly and professional, resolved our problem quickly, and made recommendations to avoid such issues in the future. We will certainly call them when it's time for our next plumbing project.

Diverter on shower blew out over weekend and needed to be replaced and needed new shutoff valves put in. Only issue is that the fixtures on the shower/tub that were replaced did not match the shiny chrome fixtures I had currently in the shower/tub or rest of bathroom. I sent 2 emails to the company and got Thanks for your feedback emails but no responses. Would give 5 stars if I would have been told that the stuff would not match or we can come back to swap it back/install new at a later date.

Called to fix a pipe that burst in the cold. Said they'd come between 5 and 9. He finally showed up at 10 pm. Said he couldn't find the leaking pipe, even though I showed him where it was. Told me it would cost $100 just to find the leak, then told me that was his free estimate. What a waste of time.

After spending a nice week at the beach, the following day I came home to pipe issues in my main bathroom. I didn’t know what to do, so I called Catonsville Plumbing and Drain at 801 Geipe Road, Catonsville MD, 21228. Within an hour Lian, my plumber showed up. He quickly assessed the issue, and began working to fix it. In just a few short hours my bathroom pipes were fixed. I highly recommend Catonsville Plumbing and Drain for any plumbing issues. As well as my plumber Lian, who was professional and easily able to fix the issue.

They came out the day I called them. The guy who came out and the woman who took my information over the phone worked with me to get an affordable price. The worker also let me know ways I can save money next time, including disconnecting my toilet and cutting where my leak was ahead of time. He also showed me what he was doing and explained everything to me. This is huge to me because I always want to learn how to do simple repairs myself. Will definitely call them next time I have an issue.

Repaired my toilet that was leaking down thru my ceiling

“No Charge”Catons came out to inspect a hot water heater for me since I was uneasy about it’s condition. Told me it was in great condition and explained how to properly flush it. ZERO CHARGE!! These guys are now my plumbers if I need a job done. For a house call without a charge in todays world, that speaks volumes.I’m fairly handy but was unaware of the anode rod changes and flushing requirements. Stupid I know. Anyhow just recently started maintaining it and I was worried about a bust out and wanted someone to come out inspect/clean or quote a replacement if not worth cleaning/flushing out.Two others quoted me costs to replace without even seeing the hot water heater.

Hungh did a great job unclogging our gutter downspout and attached underground drainpipe. He worked hard to figure out the problem, had great attention to detail, made sure it was working well and put things back together well. I would recommend him and Caton plumbing.

I used Catons Plumbing for a wastewater backup in my basement last week. I paid $800 for their service. They fixed my main issue which was a wastewater clog in my pipes. After the clog was successfully broken through with 60lb machine I had to help the “plumber” carry up and down my stairs because he had no help and I didn’t want my wood stairs to be completely damaged… I spent a lot of time cleaning his route from inside my house to outside my house because he did not bring any cleaning supplies, trash bags, or wear the boot covers. I did pull my toilet prior, hence the $800 instead of $900 fee. All I did was drain the toilet, unbolt the toilet, and carefully set it aside so I could snake it. All I needed them to do was run the machine and put the toilet back. As he went to put it back he used the wrong fittings and ripped my flange out of my concrete floor and set my toilet 1 1/2” of the floor. I knew he only had minimal experience so I waited for the camera guy to set it properly. Camera guy went to set it and didn’t even catch the flange with the bolt on the left side and said he would have someone out there immediately to fix it. Nobody came. Next day I called and requested an experienced tech. He looked at it for 2 min and said $400 minimum. I said I’m not paying $400 for something your previous inexperienced “plumber” broke. He left and I fixed it myself for $20. Since they arrived they made it clear they are in the business of making a profit only. Not quality work.

My mother paid them to do an inspection and they didn't find a clear leak on the side of our house that resulted in water bills nearly six times what we were used to. Resulted in an ongoing leak for nearly eight months thanks to their incompetence. When my mother wrote a letter to complain, she received no response.11/5/20 Update: In response to my post, after several days of phone tag, the company eventually agreed to pay my mother one half of what they charged for their services that did not find the clear leak and resulted in eight months of exponentially high water charges. One month has passed and no payment has been received. Disappointing to say the least.12/23/20 Update: Another month has passed, and no check has been received. No one has returned my mother's calls, and she's beyond disappointed. Cannot recommend to anyone.

Suggest companies should be able to tell a customer how long a project may take in advance. I'm sure they are trained to make the most out of a job. Just wish I didn't have to call company back to have another technician to tighten a pipe next day. Overall service was ok

WARNING i repeat do not contact these people i recommend roto rooters pluming to every one but catons the worst pluming company in the history of pluming. They had some unexperience man come out and he went into the bathroom and hit the p trap that under the bathroom sink as soon he. I said no u gonna fix it fully then he fled and the cameras capture that. So i call in this company then they had the general manager call me he black man me then trick me into sending him the photo of the damage that was done as if he was gonna help me then. He said O well since that area under sink is old we cant help u and like i dont care what he brole. He was very unprofessional and rude also doesn't know how to speak proper English speaking very fast. Then i ask him since u are a general manager but do u know who i am. But he not realizing who i am and how my position is 10x higher then his in management. But to all that is reading this do not pick these people u will regret it coming from someone like me they try them out.

Don't trust Caton's. They gave us a huge estimate for excavating a pipe, over ($6,000). It turned out that they only needed to replace the sleeve of the pipe, for which no excavation was necessary, and which took only part of a morning. When we asked them to charge us for time and materials, rather than on the estimate that misrepresented the scope of work, they refused to reveal the cost of materials or to adjust the price more than a few hundred dollars. They left us feeling completely ripped off - no doubt because we were.

Catons plumbing was very professional and dilligent in trying to resolve my sewer back up problem. They took all measures available and explained what they were doing along the way. Clearly better equipped and knowledgeable than the previous two services (who were there for 15min max) I had called in for the same issue.

Hunter was quick, very informative, and super helpful. He answered all my questions, and gave helpful tips about preventative measures. Their drain cleaning is also guaranteed, so if a clog comes back, they say they'll come out again and fix it for free. My only complaint would be that they were not able to make it inside the original time frame, but I wouldn't call that the fault of the plumber himself. Like most business right now, they are likely spread thin. Dispatchers/schedulers should probably take this into account though, so that people who's schedules aren't as flexible as mine don't run into any issues.

Tim Paul went out of his way to get the materials required bring them back the next day and fix the toilet with a very reasonable charge. We have used Catons before and they continue to have our loyalty.

First let me explain. I never give reviews. I feel that's what they get paid for, why should I give a review. I guess you could call me a grumpy old man. That being said , I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I was with Caton plumbing and the young man they sent, Marvin. He was right on time, actually 5min early. I know I was sitting by the door. He listened to everything I said that was the problem without saying a word. He then explained exactly what he was going to do, and what it would cost. After I agreed to the price, he then proceeded to go to work. Even though I hovered around asking him all kinds of questions about what he was doing, My wife told me to leave him alone that I was being a pest. But I didn't seem to bother him in the least. Not only was I impressed by his easy going attitude but the work he done was impeccable! He cleaned up after he finished, showed me exactly what he had done and made sure I was happy with the job. Such a disappointment. I called @ 9:00 am to report a problem with water constantly running in my sump pump. They arrived @ 10. That was great! The tech plugged the pump in, saw the water shooting out the pipe and then unplugged the pump. He says, “you need a new sump pump.” He quoted $750. I thanked him for his service and told him I would get back to him. Then he says, “I can take 10% off.” He spent less than 15 minutes looking at the potential job. I called my nephew who is NOT a plumber. He accessed the problem, went to Home Depot, purchased a $20 part & installed it. It was a rubber piece with a flap inside that connected the pipes - not the Sump Pump. Everything is working fine now. It took him 15 minutes to install the part. Thanks for attempting to rip me off Caton Plumbing. Will never call or refer your company again.

When I learned that the plumber assigned to my ticket by the Home Warranty Service Company had taken the day after Thanksgiving off, I decided to look for another plumber. Luckily I had saved a coupon for Catons Plumbing that had come in the mail. They were able to have plumbers come to my home within the hour. Tim and Igwe were excellent plumbers. They diagnosed the problem with the clog in my kitchen sink, explained how they would go about fixing it, and provided some possible worse case scenarios before they started to work. They didn't focus on just the kitchen drain, but followed the line down to where they thought the clog might be. They then worked to clear the drain and then tested to ensure that all of the pipes were clear. Tim even gave me some tips on maintaining my garbage disposal and keeping it free of clogs. I couldn't be happier to have this resolved the day after Thanksgiving and with such positive customer service.

Dave was very patient and fixed the issue. Tim was also very informative and helpful when dealing insurance issues.

They charged us time for shopping for the garbage disposal and they jacked the price up close to 100% for the item. We are business people as well. We charge our customers the cost of the item and show the receipts. We had to fight for our receipt of the garbage disposal. Live and learn, never call them again.

They have the contract with my condo association and are awful. A few years ago their plumber put my garbage disposal back in wrong after trying unsuccessfully to find where another leak was coming from and flooded my sink and ruined my sink cabinet. Most recently they had to come out to fix a leak with the building main shut off which is under my sink. They did not know how to fix it and had to come back three times. No one was living in the unit so it was extremely inconvenient to wait around for hours. They messed something up with the water pressure in our building after one attempt and had to check things in other units above mine. One of their workers left a washing machine hose out of a drain from a unit above mine and it flooded the unit when the resident used it. After finally fixing the problem with the main and the water pressure, whatever they did shutting things on and off caused my shut offs under my sink to leak. After I repeatedly had to explain to them they have to work out with the condo association to shut the water off to fix it they never did. The day it was scheduled to be fixed they were supposed to call when the plumber was about 15 or 20 minutes away because no one was living there. They called at 7am to say he was on his way and we rushed over. He didn’t arrive until almost 9am and showed up and the water was still on because their office did not schedule with the condo association to shut the water off. Since no one was living in my unit at the time we had to waste a half day for the 4th time in two weeks waiting around while they fixed the problem, this one being one they caused to happen. Now they are trying to charge me almost $700 to fix a problem they caused, having to come out 4 times within 2 weeks and waste an incredible amount of my time and will not respond to phone calls. Horrible company who hires incompetent workers. Never hire them.

The people who work for Catons Plumbing are wonderful. I had a sewer backup in my basement bathroom. I discovered this at 3 pm. Within 1 hour of my call, a manager arrived at my home. After she assessed the situation she called the office. Within the hour a plumber was at the house to clear the line and then a clean up crew arrived. Another person arrived to run a camera through the drain to see where the break was. Even though it was 9 pm, the camera guy took time to explain everything to me and answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was keeping him from getting home. The next morning (less then 24 hours after the sewer break was discovered) another team arrived to repair the line outside of my house. Everyone was supportive and took time to answer questions. After the work was completed for the day the space was cleaned up as if nothing had happened. It took 3 days to completely clean the basement and the clean up crew removed damaged furniture, appliances, clothing etc. The first night they worked until 10:30 pm. Catons made a horrible, stressful situation much easier to deal with. I highly recommend Catons Plumbing and will continue to use them for any other plumbing needs that may arise. This company is fabulous!!

I had a toilet replaced yesterday and Efrain (#2214) did an outstanding job. Called to have a plumber come out after toilet backed up. Told they would between 3 and 5 p.m., but no one arrived. Got a call at around 8:30 p.m saying a plumber would be available the next morning, and I said OK. Not great, but fixed the toilet in the meantime and hoped that something more insidious isn't going on.Nick arrived on time the next morning, and I described the fact pattern that may explain why the toilet backed up. Gave me an estimate of $681, and proceeded to explain the process of snaking and using a camera to investigate any potential clogs in the sewer drain.The job was done well, I think. He showed me videos of the clog pre- and post-snaking, which made me feel reassured. He reduced the estimate to $631, BUT that still seems high. I know equipment and labor costs (2 hours or so) is expensive, but that was surprising. Next time, I'll probably explore options to compare estimates.

Had Catons Plumbing come out to do an estimate on a bathroom remodel. After two weeks with no response I called and asked for the estimate. Two weeks went by again with no response. I called again and talked with the estimator and he said he would call the next morning. Guess what- the estimate never did call so I called Caton's back and they transferred me to directly to the estimator. He was extremely rude on the phone saying he sent the estimate by email some time in the morning so what did I want. I would give Catons Plumbing 0 stars if I could.

My tech was very good. The job was a bit complicated and he was very patient. He explained what needed to be done. He worked in a really tight space but he was extremely diligent about his work. I've had this sink for almost a year...waiting to be installed in my new home. Im glad that I found Catons Plumbing. They were fairly reasonable priced as well.

The technician Lal is very knowledgeable and friendly. He explained to us what he is doing with our leaky kitchen faucet. The price is a bit high, but reasonable when I compared it with other offers from other companies. Some plumbing companies are no longer dealing with part replacement, but Catons does. They don't charge dispatch fee, either and served 24/7.

Technitian Jason was wonderful - professional and knowledgable, and very patient with me . Fixed my leak and replace the valve. It was emergency service request on a Sunday and I am glad it took about an hour for technitian to arrive. I appreciate the quick response and fixing my problem on a weekend day.

This is an updated post. I’d like to thank Mr. Greg Anderson for his swift response to my post regarding the service I received on Monday, 25 February 2019. He contacted me directly to make things right. He genuinely cares about the customer and their experience with Catons Plumbing. His no-nonsense approach speaks to the integrity of the company and I would recommend their services to others.

The plumber came to my home promptly (within 4 hours of calling) and carefully assessed the list of plumbing problems that existed in my home - note this was the first plumbing visit in 45 years. He then provided a cost estimate to repair the 6 problems that existed. Once I signed-off on the estimate he went right to work, giving me an opportunity to select whatever replacement fixtures I wanted from a comprehensive catalog. Each problem was addressed individually through to completion. All the work took two days and it solved every problem, one of which had lingered for about 10 years. The final cost exceeded the initial estimate by about 25%, but I considered it reasonable after some hidden problems were uncovered in the process. I am fully satisfied with the results and do not expect to need another plumber for another 45 years.

EFRAIN 2214 GAVE ME GREAT SERVICE TODAY. VERY INFORMATIVE NO SURPRISES. I WAS EXTREAMILY PLEASED. I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE PLEASE. WHAT OTHER PLUMBERS SAID IT WOULD COST AND WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO DO ONLY TOOK MR.EFRAIN HALF THE TIME AND MONEY!

My kitchen sink was clogged and I could not figure out where the clog was. My neighbor, a former plumber, came over and snaked the drain but it was still backing up. We went to the basement to find that I had a 2 PVC pipe from the kitchen sink running into a 1.5 steel pipe that went to the main line. I called Catons and had them come out to assess the situation. The plumber suggested that instead of snaking the 1.5 pipe that we just replace it with a 2 PVC pipe (more money, but the right thing to do). He cut the pipe and went to get materials. The main reason why I didn't give a five star...I noticed that there was still going to be an issue with the pipe going down to 1.5 (because of the way the pipes were built with the house). So when the plumber came back I asked him about it and he said the only way to avoid the 1.5 pipe is to cut the entire unit (Y-Pipe) out and replace it with a new PVC unit that was 2. So he had to do that and go back out and get additional materials. The other thing was he arrived about 15 minutes after the hour window, but, still pretty good. All in all, I was pleased with the final product.

We used Catons to repair a leak into our main water source from city water and I would not have wanted to use anyone else in retrospect. As if that wasn’t stressful enough, my wife went into labor the same day we found the leak and were at the hospital that night. Typically that would’ve been an overbearing situation and would have caused a lot of turmoil, but Harold McCready made the entire process feel easy and doable, having the word ready in his name is very appropriate. He would check in with updates for me throughout the entire day and was incredibly responsive at all hours. He stepped in and made all of the appropriate calls without needing me to do anything so I could focus on my growing family. He was able to have our house ready within a week of the leak so I could bring my wife and newborn home to a house with water very quickly. I could not be more grateful for how hard Harold worked and the great job that was done at our house and would completely recommend and trust him. Worst customer service ever. Had called them on Friday afternoon and they gave me a timeframe(5:30 pm-9:30 pm) in which they didn’t show up. When I followed up with them, the customer representative told me that the plumber can even call me at 1:00 am at night when he’s available. They have no respect for potential customers.

When I say my septic system caught me at the worst time (not that anytime is a good time) but this day was the absolute worst time ever. I finally got a chance to have my grandchildren over for the weekend; build a fort, play in the leaves, and watch cartoons. I couldn't believe this. I searched Google for about 2 hours before I decided to contact this company. The customer service is outstanding. They answered all of my questions in detail before dispatching a technician straight away. He arrived quickly and went to work right away. They came on a Saturday morning, just as promised. Arrived at 8:30 am and it took approximately 4 hours to do the job. Nick was superb!!! He knew exactly what he was doing. He left everything clean, just as he found his surroundings. Most important, the problem was fixed and I trust myplumbing problems to Catons.

The technicians were excellent at identifying how a shut-off valve would be located above a ceiling and placing an access panel. They replaced my broken outside faucet and aging plastic pipe with copper pipe and new faucet. A bit pricey, but it was a bit of an emergency. Caton's Licensed Master Plumber Hruai and a second gentleman stopped by on Friday and installed a new shut off valve and pressure reducing valve for me. Beautiful workmanship on the installation by two excellent representatives of Caton Plumbing. This would have been a 5 STAR rating for this experience if a tiny, I mean tiny, leak from the shut off valve had not appeared later in the day. No Problem though, I contacted Bonnie and we arranged a time for a follow-up this morning. Their technician showed up on time and made a minor adjustment by tightening the pre-set valve and all is good now. I highly recommend Caton's professional and courteous staff for their plumbing services.

This was 5 stars but I was told over the phone that they will “work with me” on the price of water restoration. That never happened. Please go with another business.

Repair was sewer drain clean-out. The technician used a camera as a diagnostic tool (not a sales-pitch for line replacement) in order to thoroughly clean the lines, repeating three times in order to clear the obstructions. The tremendous effort was appreciated.

The level of professionalism that has been provided was impeccable. Both gentlemen walked me through everything they were doing.

Just had a great experience with Service Technician Nate Hall from Catons Plumbing Geipe Road location. They were able to schedule a visit within three hours on a Sunday afternoon to fix a non-working tub faucet in my daughter's condo. He arrived within the specified window and immediately diagnosed and explained to us what the issue was.. Reasonable cost and completed quickly. This is the third time we have used Catons Plumbing and we have been extremely satisfied each time.

I recently bought a house that needs some TLC. Noticed the washer box valves were severely corroded and needed replacing by the weekend (in time for my washer/dryer delivery). Called Catons on Tuesday morning and they had someone out that same evening. To my (pleasant) surprise, it was a woman. She assessed the situation (worse than anticipated) and came back the next day to take care of it. Despite the OG builders making things tricky by having the electrical in the same box, she was able to maneuver around it and install a new box/valves in just a couple hours. It was a bit pricey but these are specialists after all and you get what you pay for. I needed quick service and that is what I received. Kimberly is a badass and I would absolutely recommend her, and Catons. Thank you!

I called Catons at 10pm the night our hot water heater broke, flooding our basement. They had a technician, Lal, at our house within 40 minutes to assess the nature of the problem. He was back the following day to replace the heater, and was the entire time friendly, helpful, and prompt. I would definitely use Catons again and would definitely recommend Lal.

The technician arrived 1 hour into a 4 hour window and was able to clear my drain in under an hour of work. This is a shower drain that has been slow since I moved in 18 months ago, which recently clogged up completely. It now works like new! The price was competitive though not cheap (what reputable plumber is cheap?), but that's the cost of expertise. I would definitely recommend Caton's as all my DIY attempts ultimately failed

Plumber Lal Hualngo came at the arranged time and did great work. I had three faucet/drain problems for him to fix. One was difficult and he had to search stores for a specific replacement part to avoid cutting into the drywall. It turned out that the part was not available, so he did have to remove some drywall to get access, but he did not make a mess!

We wanted our water heater replace due to age and insufficient supply of hot water, and it was only two weeks 'til Christmas. Everything went smoothly from the initial call to the final handshake after the job was done.Vicki at the office got us an appointment within the next few business days, provided the up-front estimate, and answered my husband's initial questions patiently.The plumber, Bruce J., replaced our water heater, the gas shutoff valve that leaked after the first time it was moved in 20 years, and did another small job. I am very happy with the service we received. We called for service for our leaky garbage disposal. They were able to send a provider out the same day. From when I called to when service was finished was only 2.5 hrs. Tim was friendly, professional, and worked quickly. I highly recommend for plumbing services. Just wanted to provide my experience with Caton; please note that the men that were at my house were very kind and professional; nice guys. My review is as follows:For what I paid (sticker shock for complete sewer line repair in and outside the house) one would think the work would be done right the first time. After the work was 'complete,' I noticed water leaking from my kitchen sink. I called Caton and someone came out right away only to cost me more $$$ to fix a problem from their hook up to my kitchen pipe from the basement. They moved the pipe in the basement to connect to the new sewer line (which Caton installed a few days ago) which caused the kitchen pipe and my garbage disposal to move which caused the leak in my kitchen.The Caton person that came out to 'fix' the leak in the kitchen seem to know what he was doing (and was extremely professional) but stated the original piping under my sink was incorrectly installed and it was an old garbage disposal; this was installed by a member of my family years ago and I never had any leaks or problems with it; could the movement of the pipe in the basement cause this to leak; hmm.So, no leaks in my kitchen; Caton comes in and does work; now leaks in my kitchen; Caton comes in again and states it wasn't the work Caton previously did, it was due to incorrect installment by my family member and my garbage disposal was old; never had a leak in my kitchen but now do. Hmm again.A longer story shorter - OK, I stated to the Caton, please just get my kitchen not to leak and he did after more $$$ and a new garbage disposal (for which I reluctantly agreed) and he replaced the kitchen pipe and hooked it up to the new sewer line. By the way, he said that the original hook up (which Caton did) was incorrect, so he fixed it. He also noticed that some of the piping in the basement (the pipe hook up from my basement sink to the sewer line) needed to be fixed because it was not installed correctly; this was the work that was done by Caton a few days ago.Bottom line - work is complete; more money than initially expected, my lawn is extremely rocky and lumpy (and they mentioned that the county might have to come out and dig up my lawn due to one sewer line coming into two houses; mine and the neighbors. No one seems to be able to tell me if the county is coming or not; I hope not as I am in the process of fixing my lawn). I'm not happy.The reason two stars and not one is that the gentleman who fixed my kitchen leak, was caring and professional and did seem to be authentic but that doesn't excuse the fact that he had to redo the work that Caton did in the first place. Now I’m wondering about the pipes that were replaced under my basement and under my lawn; are they correctly installed or leaking… eh, frustrated.

The plumber showed up on time. They called ahead 20 to 30 minutes before they showed. He came in checked out my injection pump for sewer and it started working fine. A piece of toilet paper was stopping it from working. I am so happy that he was able to fix it and he didn't even charge me for a service call. I will use this companies service again.Thanks

He gave me an estimate shortly after he arrived. I was very impressed with how careful Kenny was to keep the bathroom and laundry rooms clean. Baltimore, MD: Prompt service, same day, friendly plumber. Always have had positive experiences with Catons, used them for 5+ years and family has used for 10+ years. Efficient, arrive when stated, and fair. Highly recommend.

I had a leaky pipe and I called Catons to repair it, 4 of their employees came to look at it only to assume that it came from the toilet. Terrell was the one who came to repair it. I paid Catons and the leak still came back. Even after contacting Terrell and Catons to report that the leak is still there. They kept taking us round and round in circles. They ask you to call as soon as the leak is evident, but they come 4 days after. They promise you that a manager is going to call you. It's been more than 2 weeks, and still, no manager called us. If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. DO NOT USE CATONS PLUMBING they are inefficient and ineffective. They are only after making cosmetic work. They will not refund for their poor job. AVOID CATONS if you can. Their plumbers are rude and dismissive.

I’m very satisfied with my experience with Catons Plumbing. A technician was here within an hour of my calling for service and I was quoted a reasonable estimate and given a prompt date for the repairs. On the date of repair, not only were they on time, but slightly early, which I didn’t mind a bit! Once they opened the wall enclosing the issue, it was found not to be as bad as expected… I truly appreciate their honesty in reducing my estimated quote. They completely the work in a timely matter and we’re professional at all times. They removed all debris and cleaned the work area, which I also appreciated very much. This is a hundred year old house, so I know I may have more plumbing issues later, but I will DEFINITELY be calling Catons Plumbing again if I do!

David Whittington solved two difficult problems within one hour of time. He was personable, attentive to details, and thorough. Our shower head and leaks were solved. What is more, an improperly installed faucet which was hard to reach proved not to be a problem for this seasoned plumber. Finally, David came prepared with necessary equipment already on his truck.

My wife and I had been without hot water for several days. We made the call to Catons and the response was almost instant. I have used Catons Plumbing many times.Each time I have been serviced by Bruce Jordon *tech 2171*. He is very knowledgeable,polite and kind.I would recommend Catons to all of my friends and family,and if possible request Bruce.

We had a dishwasher delivered from Lowe's to a house we own (with tenants). We thought Lowe's was going to do the installation, but apparently not. Anyhow, I called Caton's to request an installation. I asked for pricing as I know this is a rather easy/quick installation. They informed me that they do not have book pricing they can give to me over the phone. However, they did tell me that they could come out today (Sunday) as their pricing does not change based on the day of the week.Sounds great...until I receive the call from the technician that showed up.He calls to tell me it is going to be $1000 to install the dishwasher and to repair a CPVC pipe that snapped inadvertently by the tenant when he pushed the old dishwasher into the cabinet space. I own/operate a Property Management company in a different state and was taken back by the price. I was not there to assess the repair to the pipe, but even the technician was implying that it was a rather quick fix, but that he would need to wait 45 min for the glue to dry. The technician also told me that he did not have the CPVC fittings and had to come back tomorrow as well (really...? You are a plumber with no CPVC fittings on your truck?).When asked what the installation only price was for the dishwasher, he said it is their Book price of $600. I argued that this price would have been nice to know when I called as I never would have paid $600 to install a dishwasher. Clearly I would have gone a different direction. He just told me that he doesn't set the prices and that they don't give prices on the phone...even if asked and even if a book price.Unfortunately, with tenants there, and the water off due to the broken pipe...he kind of had me at his mercy. I was forced to use them to get the water running, but would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Total scam...and they knew it.

Avoid this outrageous scam of a company at all costs. We had a backup in our basement several months ago and called Catons. They sent a tech out to investigate. He didn't check our plumbing or run a camera, just ran the auger and charged us $894 for it. This guaranteed work didn't last six hours, let alone the six months they say it's guaranteed for. So we called back and they sent out an excavation tech the next day.The excavation tech wrote us an estimate of nearly $15,000 to replace our main sewer line. Good thing we slept on it and canceled the job, since this is nearly double what the competition charges for the same service. However, even though we canceled the job, we still got charged for it because they forgot to put through the cancelation in their system, so I had to spend a week tracking down their people to get charges canceled.I guess I should count myself lucky to *only* have been screwed out of nearly $900 by these guys. Don't use them.

I called Catons to repair a leak for me on Sunday. I was informed that an estimator would be at my property the following day. I did not hear back from them so I called again. Over the course of four days, I was given the runaround about having someone come and view my property. When I eventually spoke to the estimator, he was rude to me and unkind. I would not use this service as they did not treat me with respect. I never even received the service I wanted. Perhaps it was because my property was not in the most affluent of areas, but I was not expecting how I was treated.

Dave came out super quick and cleared a clogged line in just a few minutes. We will be calling Caton's again!

I have never in my life had such a negative experience with a business.They caused additional damage to our plumbing outside of the area of concern and did not let us know. They also accessed the upstairs to use the third bath without our permission and left urine all over the toilet rim with the seat up and toilet unflushedI feel violated by the lack of professionalism and blatant disrespect.Communication with the office was poor.

Called this business for a broken water pipe after seeing them listed as a Google trusted business. I was assured a technician would arrive at my place 'within the hour'. Two hours later, after waiting in vain for someone to show up, I called and was once again assured that someone was on the way. Then almost four hours after my initial call, I got a call from them letting me know no one was gonna show up after all. At this point, it was almost impossible trying to get another plumber as it was getting rather late. Very bad and dishonest service.

I literally felt robbed after getting work done. Would never ever use and do not recommend. Extremely pricey... First there's a $68 trip fee, then they charge by the hour. Tech told me a different rate at the start, then charged a different rate at the end. He added a bogus 15% discount that did nothing because he charged a different hourly, when I asked to get the initial quoted rate, he said he would take off the 15% discount I never asked for. They have a ridiculous schedule of fees they charge arbitrarily. E.g $155 to go get an item from a home depot 5miles away and charge more than the list price of the said item. Most of the other 'good' reviews is because they promise you a chance to win $300 for putting up a review. So people write good reviews to win the money they would never win. A business this greedy would not part with a dime. It's all lies. Stay away.

Catons Plumbing was phenomenal. The customer service was amazing and they acted so quick and truly cared about the service that they gave us. We had a plumbing issue and they came out and even inspected things above and beyond what we called them for. The water remediation group was fantastic and walked us through all the steps. They submitted our claim to our homeowners almost immediately to get the ball rolling. I would truly recommend them to anyone!

I had technician come out and replace my sump pump. Same day service, polite, attentive, explained all the work he did and cleaned up after.

Had Bruce come try to relight the hot water heater but it was toast. He took the time to explain everything to us and gave us the option of replacing the part or getting anew hot water heater.

I called them on a Saturday because the hose from our old washer was unbelievably stuck on the spigot. They came within a matter of hours and the service person succeeded in removing the old hose without damage to the spigot, saving us hundreds of dollars. He was friendly and obviously knew what he was doing. I'd recommend them to anyone. BTW, there was no extra charge for Saturday service.

I had to have my garbage disposal replaced on a Sunday afternoon and Catons did an excellent job! The technician arrived sooner than promised and was very thorough, knowledgeable and careful to not make a mess. He explained everything to me and was very articulate. He had to come back the following morning to replace a hose, and also set me up with a Catons mold inspector who confirmed that I didn't have a problem in the cabinet under the sink that would require remediation. This is the fourth time or so I have used Catons in the past few years and I have never been less than satisfied!

Bruce Jordan came for a leak in our ceiling. He was diligent, thorough, respectful, polite and got the job done. I would recommend Catons for any plumbing job.

Catons came to the rescue when another company we had scheduled with didn't show up during their scheduled time slot. After finding out the other company was running hours behind and having to cancel since I had to leave for an appointment, I called Catons hoping they might happen to have an opening for the same afternoon. Bonnie answered the phone and immediately told me they could get someone out to our house that afternoon. She was very pleasant and professional and very nice to deal with. She even told me to make sure to check their website for cuopons and sure enough I found one for $75 off. Later they called to let me know the tech was on his way. He came in and went right to work and got our kitchen faucet replaced. He was also very pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend Catons! I know they will be the first company we will call if we have a need for a plumber in the future.

Caton plumbing came to my property diagnosed the problem; a leak in the master shower coming from the stall shower.They decided that the best way to get to it was from underneath. That was the living room below. They opened the ceiling and left. I called the supervisor Gregg Anderson and explained the situation that I needed the work to finished. He said that he would take care of my problem and get back to me. Never heard back, the workmen haven’t come to the property to finish. The original salesman, Brett, never called me back.So, I’m left with an open ceiling in my living room and a shower above that cannot be used.Still waiting...

Leaking kitchen pipes. LAL #2765 was absolutely amazing was 15 minutes early explain everything did not mine all my questions was nice to my baby and cat even though they were hovering around him. March 19th 2012 they sold and installed a Rheems hvac system and never according to Rheems registered the system with them it's a 10 yr warranty I called caton still.waiting to here back I called Rheems and they took care of it for me and registered my system I guess that's why caton not in hvac business anymore I would not recommend them at all

We live in Washington state and rent out our previous home in Catonsville. Our tenants had slow drains in the upstairs tub and sink. I called Catons. Getting an appointment was simple and easy. We scheduled for their first appointment of the day on a Thursday. The technician's name was Ken. He was on time and made a quick assessment of the needs. Prior to doing any work he called me to let me know what needed to happen, how long it would take and approximately how much it would cost. In just a few hours the problem was diagnosed and taken care of. My tenants and I are happy with the service.

So I’m out of town for work . Get a call from my wife at 12:30am the water heater is spewing water everywhere... I called catons at 9am they were there by 10:30 new water heater, gas valve and expansion tank done by 2:00. the tech Bruce Jordan was fantastic, knowledgeable and extremely professional. My problem involved a weekend emergency plumbing repair, and although the advertised 24 hour our repair service turned out not to be exactly 24 hours, I did receive an appointment the following morning, and the technician came out, Hungh, was able to handle the problem in an extremely professional and competent manner, and for what I consider to be a very fair price.I want to add that the person handling the overnight emergency repair line for this company was extremely sympathetic and honest in her dealings with me. She told me that 24 hours really meant no job could begin after 10 PM. I recommend that everyone who reads this realize that this is probably the case for almost every Plumbing repair company that advertises 24/7 these days.

Outstanding fast service, friendly knowledgeable crew! We had to replace our main waterline (on a flag lot). The day of service there was practically a monsoon and the crew continued work with smiles and great attitudes. They worked extremely diligently and did their best to clean up. They followed up two days later with a pressure washer to clean the layer of mud that had gotten on the driveway and walkways due to the monsoon.I am extremely happy with the service we received and highly recommend them.

I was extremely disappointed with the service provided. I requested to have a tech on site for an EMERGENCY due to a water heater, located in a ceiling, leaking all over at a department store. The tech, Nick, was not only very rude when I spoke with him on the phone, but all he did was look inside the ceiling, guess what size of water heater was needed (which he was wrong), and quote an extremely high cost to install a new water heater. He did not even shut the water off to the water heater so it would stop leaking (which was the entire point of the emergency). I tried to call multiple times to get information and was given the run-around. I had to send a different tech on site to shut the water off to the water heater so it would stop leaking and posing a slip hazard. The only positive thing I could say about this company is, Bonnie (that works in the office), is very friendly and pleasant to speak with. I would HIGHLY recommend Wes Plumbing in this area. I had an extremely complicated gas line installation at my new home that required running a brand new line from one side of my house all the way to the other side. Bruce Jordon did a phenomenal job with the installation.

Please don’t ever use this company! Patrons beware, they are horrible! Suppose plumber and apprentice replaced my hot water heater tank, due to supposed leak. Replacemented unit and it resulted in hot water to be yellowish, foamy, and ice cold! Advised plumber of color and temp issue before they left premises; was told that I needed to allow 30-45mins for water running for color and temp correction. Water still yellowish and ice cold one day later.Called company next morning for a repair request. I was given a ETA window of 8-10am for repair. It is now 8:30pm and still no plumber. I’ve called about 4 times to be told someone is on their way. Please help!!!!

Base on review I read of guy who had someone break the sink and the General manager refuse to help so. I refuse to call this company instead. I called the other plumbing company he had refer in the review and they fix my problem in 34min.

We had a blocked sewer over the weekend and Catons sent out Nick the same day, within hours. Nick was extremely helpful, patient, and did a great job fixing our blocked sewer line. He made sure to clean up everything really well so we didn't need to worry about the aftermath either.

The Technician arrived on time, explained my two leak issues and required repair, provided a discount higher than my coupon, and worked diligently to repair them to my satisfaction. I do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I will use them again when I need to call a Plumber.

I had not had a refrigerator for 2 weeks…. When they finally came to make the delivery, it was discovered that the valve to the water supply was broken. I called 2 other plumbers that I know. The lady who scheduled the service was sweet and professional.The tech who came out? Not so much.He entered my home while on a personal call and didn’t say much at all. Told him what I thought the problem was (turned out I was right). Simple drain issue. He wanted to explore to confirm where leak was. Just his exploration would cost $200 not including repair costs. Family friend did it for a few bucks without any exploring needed. Funny how that works.

Not impressed at all. Basement drains were backing up, so I called them, annoyed that they refused to give me on the phone any indication of what it might cost to snake the main drain. Guy arrives and tells me it's going to cost $946 (not sure if that was the exact dollar amount, but definitely 900 something). I was completely blown away by that quote. So I went to Home Depot and rented a power snake for $54 and had it cleared in 14 minutes. No justification at all for that exorbitant quote.

Our Catons plumber Charles was very knowledgeable and thorough, we were well taken care of and will call on him again with plumbing needs!

I contacted Caton's Plumbing after dealing with another company who misdiagnosed the issue at our rental property. They were ready to break concrete and charge thousands of dollars without doing the necessary do diligence. Caton's Plumbing was out right away, they were professional, efficient and accurately diagnosed and resolved the problem. I can not thank them enough for a job well done! Highly recommend them.

The plumber wanted to charge $690 for a 2.5 hr job. The parts were well under $50. I negotiated and accepted the job at $450.00; however, I feel that I was still overcharged and shouldn't have to negotiate.

How bad Customer service can getService technicians are rude, when called customer service they have no clue and transferred to Bill ( Manager ) who never responded to one call ( even after 5 calls ) and Donna who transferred call back to same dispatching clerk who says he has no control on any one.....We want to help local businesses but not at the cost of UNCERTAINTY which increasing blood pressureI’m really surprised how on earth Owner is not aware of these and we are not allowed to speak to him?God help the owner and all the customers who are looking at them to serve

Was hosting Christmas and of course my kitchen sink got stopped up. With people coming within a few hours and food still needed to be cooked I was in a jam. Thankfully Catons was open and there within a couple of hours. Correy was excellent and was able to fix the problem for the day without having me break the bank. We've used Catons before -- never again. Our water heater leaked and called Catons to come and replace it. We were told our power vent gas water heater is a more expensive type of gas water heater and were quoted over $3,300 in materials. This felt high, however I know there is a markup due to the convenience of having the plumber buy the water heater and I was told it is more expensive anyway, so we agreed to have it installed the next day.The two people doing the installation did a very good job and were very professional, however when I looked up the price of this water heater it was $1,600 retail. Factoring in another couple hundred dollars for other less expensive materials, you're looking at 70%-75% markup. I feel taken advantage of even though they claim their prices are fair. Additionally, they sent someone out to take a look Sunday night even though it was not an emergency. I feel like they know if they can get to the job first they can take advantage of a poor situation to make some extra money.I made multiple attempts to contact a manager at the office but they have not returned my call. I'd give Catons one star however the installation itself is very well done. I however can't recommend them due to the markup on materials.

Did a great job identifying a leak and addressing it cleanly and simply. 100% will use then again! Alphonso was great.

My wife called Catons to get a kitchen drain unclogged. We used their service 10 years ago for a similar problem and was very pleased with the quality of service and the price. Thankfully they responded this time in less than an hour and unclogged the pipe. I did have some concerns though.The plumber immediately quoted us a flat rate of $616 for a kitchen drain. That is over triple what we paid last time to clear out the same 30' of 2 pipe. After some negotiation and use of a coupon he begrudgingly dropped the price to $566. After reassembly and testing, he noticed a small crack in extension tube flange that connects the sink to the drain. He told me that he would see if he had the part in the van. He came back and said that it was a flat rate charge of $150 to replace the extension tube. I said I would fix it myself. He then asked what I was willing to pay. I told him the part couldn't be more than $10 and the labor 10 minutes and I was willing to pay $40. He negotiated up to $50. To make matters worse, AFTER completing the job, he warned me that he wouldn't warranty his work since I paid so little.The entire job was 90 minutes. He spent some time in the van afterwards and left less than 2 hours after arriving. I paid over $300/hr for his labor. Even factoring in a service charge for same-day service, I believe this was very high.The plumber left me with the impression that he was making up prices and milking me for anything he could get. I sent 2 emails to Caton's asking them to confirm that I was charged the right price by their plumber. Both emails were ignored.UPDATE: Caton's responded to my online review and we were able to work out a solution that worked for both sides.

Overpriced with very poor communication on site and via phone. Definitely would NOT recommend. The tech tried the same patch job I did that doesn't work and wanted triple the cost to replace the pipe and take out part of our basement ceiling. We talked to a manager for a partial refund as the outdoor spigot still leaks and the manager NEVER put in for the refund. Now, a week later, I have to ask again for the partial refund. Customers and open honesty ARE NOT Catons Plumbing priority!

Tech, Lal Ram 2283, came to my home on 11-11-21, and installed my kitchen faucet. He is very courteous. He is professional and thorough with his knowledge of the many parts that connect to the faucet. He did an excellent job! I would recommend him to my friends and family.

Today we were very much overcharged for a garbage disposal installation which was $626.85 total. The labor for the hour was $408. They were trying to initially charge $510 labor. Both way too high. Also, the part was marked up at least 100%. Never again will I use this company. It’s a shame because they are close to our house. Only good thing was they did show the same day of call which I guess is understandable given the high rates. Never again 😩

Tim came the next day and completed the job immediately. We needed a new hook up for a new washer. He took care of everything perfectly.

Pretty lousy plumbers from what I could tell. Basically, they ripped me off on a drain inspection and would not provide footage for me to keep. I will now have to pay for another plumber to do the exact same thing when I get the line replaced. The first plumber that came out didn't want to mark anything outside because he didn't want to get rained on and the other was clearly in a rush to leave. Followup quotes for repairs went nowhere and wasted a lot of time dealing with them.

Have been using Catons Plumbing ( starting with other companies that Catons took over) for 30 years. I have NEVER been anything but happy with their professionalism and service.I am on wooded lot with root problems. When sewer line backed up today and I called they sent a service man out in less than an hour. The plumber was hear for hours until he was satisfied my line was a clear as he could make it. I’m in the process of having an addition built and even my construction crew was impressed by how quickly the call was answeredAdditionally the gentleman that answered the call was professional, curtious, pleasant, thorough, and explained everything he did. I called them for damaged on my hot water line in my laundary room. He fixed it. But forgot to open the hot water valve so hot water could flow through the house again. If I am spending $400 to fix a leaking faucet. I want the job completely done. I should not have to figure out why my hot water pressure is low. Simple.

Great job, even made a video to show the county it was on their end, only thing that could be better was if the person who took the order would have said to have a check ready we would have. The repair guy's 1st words were wheres the money, I don't do anything without a check. That made us stop what we were doing, go to the other location and get a check.

We called Caton's after arriving home to a water bubble in our ceiling. Lal (tech #2765) arrived within 2 hours. He was courteous, kind and explained everything to us. He helped us figure out what caused the water bubble - it was our kids filling the tub up too much and water leaked out. When we arrived home to the water bubble we feared the worst. However, everything in the ceiling was completely dry.. the drywall, plywood, wood, etc.. it was all dry. If ever we need service again, I will definitely call Caton's and will also recommend Lal (tech # 2765) to everyone! Thanks Caton's!

Bruce Jordon of Catons Plumbing quickly diagnosed the problem with our clogged kitchen drain, after we had tried for days to fix it ourselves (snake, chemicals, etc.). He drained and cut out a section of pipe in our basement that was filled with 30 years of grease deposits because the pipe had been installed without the proper pitch to drain thoroughly. Bruce covered the area around the pipe very well, to protect our items stored nearby. He replaced the section of pipe at the proper pitch, worked efficiently and cleaned up thoroughly when he was finished. Throughout the visit he was pleasant, acted professionally and answered all our questions. I would call Catons again for my next plumbing problem.

Master Plumber Lal (2765) was on time, courteous, neat and overall very professional. He patiently answered my many questions.

Our toilet was broken but we had no leaks or water damage. The job was simple.. take one toilet out and put another one in. We were quoted $700 to install a new toilet. This included the cost of the toilet. We bought our own toilet which cost $263 ( this included tax and some little parts I thought might need). We were told the installation cost would still be around $500. After questioning the cost it was brought down to $400. Will this company fix your minor issue? Yes. But there is a high mark up . It is my opinion that no simple toilet installation should be $500 or $400.

The ONLY plumbing company I will use. There is someone to answer your call 24/7 365. When is plumbing issue not an emergency? Never in my case. They are always polite, very accommodating to my needs, quick to arrive and get the job done. Estimates and bills are always clear, gone over with by workman-estimator so there are no more surprises. They are clean and cover the, furniture if needed. Just can't say enough good about them.

They ruined my New Year's eve party. They promised to come between 12 and 2 PM. Then, called me, that someone is coming between 3 and 4 PM. At 4:00 PM, when nobody even called, I called them to find out that most likely they can not accommodate me today. Very irresponsible. I will never use them again!

DO NOT CONTACT THEM. They overcharge, do not communicate, and their water restoration manager, Tim, is rude and scams to get more money. We contacted them on Tuesday to perform water restoration. They came out, took pictures on the day of the water leak, and said they would come the following day as the repairs were still being performed. Tim was late, rude, arrogant, and did not want to communicate after initiating the service. I will NEVER use them again. I recommend you do not either. We went with a different plumber as well because they charged 5x as much for an hour worth of work. They over charge. I would give them zero stars with the exception of customer service when I called. They were very professional but the water restoration team is awful. BEWARE!

Tim was great. Timely and super helpful and informative

I had the pleasure of finally dealing with a professional knowledgeable company. I made an appointment at 3pm for 6:30pm and I was contacted about 5:30 to see if the technician could arrive early. Tim arrived within 30 minutes of that request along with his apprentice Shannon. I explained my problem and they immediately went to work to correct my problem. My drain was cleared and he ran the camera through the line thoroughly explaining what was going on with my drain pipe as he went along, afterwards he cleared the drain again to get it as clear as possible (unfortunately I had a serious issue with roots) which he made sure were thoroughly cleared. Tim then did due diligence using the tools of his trade to pinpoint all of the issues with my drain and informed me that the information would be passed on to an assessor who would contact me for an appointment to discuss my options.After dealing with other companies where I paid a lot of money for what I felt was a hit it and quit it situation it was refreshing and a delight to have used Caton plumbing to take care of my problem. Tim is an excellent technician and Shannon was a very studious apprentice she seemed very interested in learning this trade, I wish her much success. Catons has become my go to company for plumbing jobs they have great customer service and the price was reasonable. I have paid a lot more with other companies and received a whole lot less. When Tim left my house I not only felt that I had paid a fare price for the service I had been thoroughly educated about my plumbing issue .I definitely recommend to anyone to çall this company .I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

I called them to come install a Saniplus pump. Three plumbers came at 3 different occasions but had no clue how to install it, and yet they are listed as experts. Even one tried to rip me off with $300.00 labor charge, and yet he did not know how to install it. I ended up installing it myself by use of the installation manual. Thank goodness I did it. It now works perfectly with zero labor expense.

Very impressed with Caton and therr employees. Came same-day to help with sewage backing up in an emergency. Nick was wonderful--respectful, kind, informative, kept mess to a minimum, good with older people. Would use them again. And we can flush now!

We had a leak in a our basement early this morning at the connection of our washer and dryer. Caton’s sent a plumber the same day who diagnosed the issue and gave us several options, pricing each one. He was able to fix the leak same day. This is our third time using the for our old home-very satisfied.

I have used Caton’s plumbing for over 20 years. Hey are the only plumbers I call at my house. I have never had anything but great experiences with any of the service personnel that have come to the house. My service call on 4/11 was no exception. LAL #2765, the serviceman that was dispatched to me was courteous, pleasant, knowledgeable, efficient and left my kitchen and bathroom spotless. Thank you.

Quick courteous response to my call it's all resolved the issue with a quick adjustment

I purchased a new washer and dryer from Home Depot. I knew the gas line had to brought up to code and the water line would need to have the faucets replaced. So for this reason I wanted to use a local licensed plumber. Their website literally shows them installing a washer and dryer. But I would absolutely never use them again. When I called I was very specific about the gas line, water issue and the fact that the dryer has a steam line. The plumber showed up. Did most of the work but rolled out without hooking up the steam line, mind you I paid over $1000.00!! Never said a word about why he chose not to hook it up just left. So I call back, by the way the ladies that work in the office are super nice and very helpful. They really do try to resolve the issues. So they say they are going to send a senior tech to finish the install. He proceeds to tell me I should have used Home Depot and that they don’t typically install appliances. Really? That’s not what I was told on the phone. And he wants more money. So I call back again. He comes back and installs the line. But guess what now my dryer is not working properly and shutting off. I’ll have to call someone else. Because there is no way I’ll have those people step foot back in my home.

Lal (#2765) was very courteous and polite. He, and his helper, got right to work and completed the repair very quickly. They ran the disposal several times to make sure it didn't leak. I am totally satisfied with the work performed by Lal.

Bruce Jordon was the plumber that provided the service for Me.He arrived on time, very courteous, and explained the problem and solutions fully to my understanding. Bruce preformed the job completely to my satisfaction. I will call Canton Plumbing with my next Plumbing Issue, and will request Bruce as My Plumber to take care of the Job.

We had a busted pipe in our basement and called Catons plumbing and they had someone at our house the next morning. The plumber that came to our house was Sawma and he was very knowledgeable and took care of our plumbing problem in the amount of time he stated it would be done. I would highly recommend Catons Plumbing.

I had a newly renovated bathroom giving me great problems. After being blown off by another plumber, Catons came to the rescue! They got a longtime clog resolved, no problem! The only reason why this isn't five stars is because I was given a lengthy sales pitch about the shoddy work my contractor did for my new bathroom. My contractor had his crew, a plumber friend and the owner of his company all come and tell me that there is nothing wrong with my plumbing. Had I not gotten a second and third opinion, I would have been convinced by Catons to spend another $500 to fix absolutely nothing. I was also warned that this company tries to upsell a lot, so beware!
