Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Kyle was just wonderful. He arrived in 20 minutes after the phone call and he came on a Saturday afternoon. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in 15 minutes all at a fair price.He was professional and took great pride and care in his work. I highly recommend him and the company.

The Roto-Rooter tech Phil was great. Right on time, was very neat and tidy with his work and didn't waste any time with the job. Phil was detailed I explaining what had happened and how he remedied the issue which was great and didn't leave me wondering what happened.
The only issue I had was that not all of their techs have the remote cameras for going down the pipes and viewing the issue, in our case tree roots. I called dispatch,like Phil said , twice and both times they said as soon as one was free they would send them. It's been a couple of weeks and still no camera tech, which is included in the cost of the service.

Jeff and Bob were great, very professional and wonderful to work with. Clearly explained the issue and showed us what was going on on the camera. They double checked everything and made sure everything was good to go before heading out.

Aiden was the plumber n he was knowledgeable n efficient. I explained what happened n he checked it out and replaced 2 shut off valves under the kitchen sink. The faucet had broken n I wanted to shop for a new one. Which is why he didn't replace it. I have no problem with the plumber. Roto-Rooter charged me $687 for this small repair. Only reason I agreed to their service is because they advertise 24 hour service. I would have expected a fee like this if they had come in the evening when I called. But they canceled n I can't go with out water with several people in the house. I won't call again.

Jeff came and serviced our pipes today. We were worried that we couldn’t find an appointment on a weekend day. He was personable and knowledgeable. He was able to identify the issue and provide the service quickly. He added in a few bits of information on our septic and well also. Thankful he was there to save the day.

We called them late in the day on a Saturday because we broke the kitchen handle as we were trying to replace. Call them and they were able to come within the hour to replace faucet. Jeff was very personable and quick.

Kitchen Faucet and shut off valve went bad. Water everywhere called eight companies claiming to have emergency 24 service. Nobody had availability until the next day. Toto Rooter came right out within 1 hour and did an outstanding job. Norman was very cordial and professional. They are now my “go to” company.

They came and cleaned the drainage pipe out pretty quick. Then they ran a camera through the line and showed me where all of the breaks in the sewer pipe are. Not very happy with the House's plumbing, but definitely satisfied with Roto-Rooter

CenterPoint Energy came out and switched my gas meter. They told me my gas heater wouldn’t work because the thermocouple was bad. And it was nothing on their end. So I called roto-rooter to come out. Came out and showed them the diagnosis CenterPoint gave me. The technician, John, looked and said without power there nothing will work. After 30 minutes of hitting the pilot light and patiently waiting John was able to get a flame. With it lit, John said that it was just the oxygen in the line that took so long. Would recommend this company. Just felt bad it was something I feel I could do but CenterPoint Energy lied to me and my wife many times during this. Thank you so much John, and Roto-Rooter.

Erick was fantastic. He was informative and solved our problem effectively. This company was far more responsive than other companies I called.

Bizarre situation but we had a precious item of jewelry fall off and into the toilet AS THE TOILET WAS FLUSHING! Almost every time plumber we called said to kiss it goodbye. But roto-rooters told us to shut off the water and don’t flush any toilets and wait for them to come… they eventually sent out two absolute heroes to our house.
They put a snake camera in the pipes and located the jewelry. They tried to fish it out with a coat hanger but the jewelry was close to falling over an edge and being lost again. So the man, Terry was his name, exercised expert judgment and said we would do best to came at it from underneath, through the dry wall. He said he knew the exactly where it was and we don’t want to give that up.
He called another man named Juan/John that came out to cut the dry wall and pipes. He said he was nervous but he acted with pure poise under pressure. He cut as soft as possible so the jewelry wouldn’t fall down.
They shined a light and could see it in the pipe. It was so close to the drop! I’m talking inches away from falling over a cliff. They had the clever idea of putting a drill bit right thru the middle of the jewelry to hold it in place. They then cut the pipe and got it out. We cried tears of joy.

Intake person was courteous and dispatched technician promptly even after 5pm. The technician, Norman, was very helpful in diagnosing and explaining the problem, then fixing the blocked toilets issue efficiently.

Awful service, They said that they can't put a camera down our main plumbing pipe and flushed the toilets then said everything was fine, Then i called another company and they came out put there camera down the pipe perfectly and now fixing it.

Scam artists.
I called to have them come out to fix my hot water heater. The tech was rude and then quoted $2400 to have our hot water heater replaced. I felt that was high and decided to get a second opinion while the tech went to get a new unit. Sure enough, 3 different companies and each company asked how old my house was and told me the water heater was still under warranty. I went with another company who came out, took the unit out, replaced with a brand new one, cleaned everything up and offered exceptional customer care all for $300!
Also, when I called the tech to cancel the service, he got a major attitude with me and said I still needed to pay a $129 service fee…even though Roto Rooter was 4 days LATE to their appointment.
Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. This company is awful.

Scheduled an appointment overnight, service man arrived on time the very next day and cleared up my main drain efficiently.

Had a basement drain clogged that’s hard to get to. Technician was able to get to it and unglog it. Very courteous and professional!

The technician cleaned drain pipe underneath kitchen sink. We were advised how to maintain the drain pipe in order prevent clogged problem.

The problem was resolved in a timely fashion. Kima was easy to work with and explained the problem and the fix. He came out of the crawl space with a picture of the problem, made the repair and took a picture of the repairs, then showed me the damaged pipe. We will sleep better tonight.

Kima arrived promptly, quickly identified the issue, and set work trying to snake an external drain pipe. Although the main issue (collapsed sump drain pipe) could not be resolved the same day due to the ground being frozen, he installed a runout line so my sump pump could continue to run and my crawl space remain dry. Excellent work. Fair price. Very happy.

We had a washer line back up. Kima came out and fixed the problem all in under 2 hours which 2 other plumbers could not do. He was very clean and efficient and worked well with tenants. I will be using their service again for complex jobs. Shawn the field supervisor came out to the property before as well which was nice to brief on the situation.

Roto Rooter is a complete waste of time to deal with. I explained the issue and told the guy when he got here the issue. Come to find out, he admittedly announced that he is not licensed plumber and has no idea what he is doing and can’t fix my problem. All this, after saying he can fix the issue.

It was 7pm when I came home to a wet mess in the basement. Fortunately, it is a concrete basement. Anyway, I was pretty sure no one would come out that evening to fix it (which I was right); HOWEVER, the field supervisor did come out and inspected everything. We got the water turned off and things cleaned up. The next morning they came out and fixed the problem. Come to find out, I had this same plumber for another problem I had two years ago. He was awesome! Altogether, a good experience with the company despite it being a wet mess! Will definitely will use them again!!

Eddie was awesome. He was able to fix an issue that another company wouldn’t touch. They wanted to dig up my yard and replace pipes that would have cost me $$$. Eddie was able snake the drain and unclog in just a few minutes and it cost me much, much less than what the other company quoted.

The tech, Kime, did a great job and deserves five stars. Unfortunately the company deserves 0 stars. The original subpump was a 4,000 expenditure in a huge project in February 2022. Last night my house was full of smoke and smelled of burning plastic. The tech today confirmed that the subpump was originally improperly installed. This original negligence could have resulted in a fire that could have seriously damaged my home. Had my roommate not been home at that exact time to identify the potential electrical fire and literally pull the plug, I don’t know what would have happened. I was at work and called the 24/7 line to see what could be done and was told at that point nothing could be done but wait till 0800 the following morning. I called multiple times to speak to management regarding this and finally was connected and offered a 300 dollar credit. On a 4,000 dollar subpump that was improperly installed and nearly caused an electrical fire in my home. Do not use this company. They are untrustworthy and may damage your home. Again my tech today was great and I wish I could review just him but Roto Rooter should not be trusted.

Scooter came out late on a Saturday night when we were unable to declog a blockage in the pipe draining the kitchen sink and dishwasher. He worked tirelessly first from the kitchen sink and then ultimately from the washing machine to find the plug and take care of it. Very professional and explained/showed me what he was doing along the way. This was right before leaving for holidays so I appreciated that it let us have some peace of mind as well. Thanks Scooter!

Lal came out and fixed a clogged line. It was pricey but I don't blame him for that. Honestly, due to his professionalism alone I would use Roto Rooter again. Last plumber left a mess all over my house but Lal went above and beyond to ensure that didn't happen.

I called this place because it was the first search option that came up when I looked for southeast Indianapolis. They were able to immediately schedule me for the following day. Our technician was very prompt- earlier than expected also. He was very patient while we looked for the water shut off so he could fix the valve. He told me that the water meter had water in it, and showed me, and asked if our bill is normal. He took the time to explain what had gone wrong with the leak as well as the steps he was going to take to fix it. He then explained the 6 month warranty. He also told me who to contact about our water meter, even though that wasn’t part of the service. This isn’t my area of knowledge so I appreciated the extra explanations. And he was nice to our dog. We will go to roto-rooter again in the future.

I had five stars for previous visits. I originally called for service at 5pm, customer was very friendly. A tech was supposed to be their by 715pm. I received a call close to 7pm to give an update they were running late and would be longer, which was also ok. Around 745 I received a voice-mail that a tech was available, and to call back. I called back within 5 min and was told the tech was unavailable and just sent out. Which again was fine, but the got a call a 9pm it would be another 2 hours. I have no access to my toilets, and if they are that busy, time frames need to be more precise. I had to call another company who came immediately.

Alex was very professional and made sure to practice CoVID guidelines. I recommend this company. A little pricey but I think it was worth it. Service for a last minute call in under an hour!

BEWARE: DO NOT TRUST THE HIGH GOOGLE REVIEWS FOR ROTO ROOTER! Cost over $800 to install a sump pump and over $5000 for water restoration from a small flooded finished basement that took 4 days to dry out and 5 hours total at my house! They will charge you for every little detail and have you sign several pages of a contract knowing you are in desperate need of resolving your issue!

Kima managed to work through my concerns and make sure everything was better than he found it. He explained what he was doing and made sure I was satisfied with the service prior to leaving.

I personally want to thank (Van #3301) For good customer service, worked fast. And was a great teacher. Not joking, I spent 18hrs trying to get this plumbing right. He did it in 2hrs. Drian clog removed! Jeff was amazing :)

We weren't sure if we had a clog or septic issue but Roto Rooter was able to come out immediately after I called first thing Monday morning and took care of the problem within an hour. At first I was taken back by the price, but he was able to get us down to the same price we paid last time they were out for a similar issue on a sink. It was helpful that he had all of the detailed history information at hand for us. He also assured us that if he wasn't able to fix it then it would only be the diagnostic and trip fee to pay before we'd have to call a septic company. Luckily he was able to get it taken care of quickly and carefully and we are thankful. As irritated as we probably had him regarding our worries on the price and plumbing and multiple questions, he stayed calm and conserved and willing to do whatever we needed him to do. Thank you!

They are always very professional and neat- making sure to clean up and put things back. Although I could not get the immediate late-night service I preferred, that's understandable. The appointment I did make for later was kept and I was notified 30 minutes in advance. I have used them several times and will continue to do so.

Kima helped install a new sump pump for us. He was timely, efficient, and super helpful throughout the whole process. Zo also helped locate a water line to our refrigerator that was leaking. He helped remove the line at my request and also helped troubleshoot a small issue with my kitchen sink. Both services were quick and friendly and they also adhered to the COVID-19 guidelines very well.

Roto-Rooter came out about a month ago, but unfortunately I had the same problem again. I called them to come back out as the work had a 6 month gaurantee, and they were AMAZING! They sent somebody right away to take care of the problem, and the technician even went extra steps to check the lines again before he left to make sure it was fixed this time for good. Seriously wonderful service from everyone involved. Definitely call these guys if you need help. Super professional and guarantees that they actually stand behind. Thank you, Rotor-Rooter!

Puia was awesome. Within 30 minutes of me calling for service, he was at the door and working on the issue (basement drain was backing up...YUCK!). He was here in a timely manner. He asked me questions. He listened. He called the previous service guy to see if he had any additional information to give him because this was their second time out in 30 days. He cleaned up his mess. Jeff came to assess a sewer line after I discovered a sewer water back up in our basement. He was prompt & professional, had a mask on and practiced safe social distance. They were able to send him over within an hour of calling. Although we could not create a backup again by running all the water, we had him snake out our main sewer line. Our house is 100 y.o. and we have many old growth trees around & on our property in an older neighborhood so roots often grow into the outside portion of the line.

Excellent service! Can't recommend these guys enough. I woke up to a bathtub and toilet flushing into my kitchen sink at the place I rent - oh no. I called four different places and even had someone else come out, only to say they couldn't fix it until Monday, which wasn't going to work since, well, no toilet. But Brandon from Roto-Rooter came out and, along with doing an excellent, efficient job, was personable and beyond helpful. Will 100% use them again for any plumbing issues I have.

We just purchased a home and about a week into living there I noticed water on the basement floor and coming from the drain. I contacted 3 companies who couldn't come out until 2-3 days later. Lost hot water on a Saturday afternoon and needed a new water heater. Roto Rooter responded timely. Vala came out on Sunday morning. He was able to find the same model of water heater and provided great customer service. Having hot water again was greatly appreciated!

My grandson flushed a bottle of saline nasal spray down the toilet and plugged it up. Jeff gave me a quote and was able to unplug the toilet without removing it from the floor , which surprised me as it was not the first time we had this problem. They were able to address most of my needs (i.e. S trap to P trap, loose toilet, drip legs). However, they were not able to understand or support some other more involved need. While the work he performed was quality work, it took an very, very long time to complete.

They were nice but my only side note is they were never on time and never told me an exact time they would be there except the first day two days they arrived after that a different guy was doing it and he wasn’t very flexible with us like everyone else was. I’m giving 5 starts bc I think it was just the one guy everyone else was on point which that dude was nice and all but wasn’t timely

Jeff was awesome. When the more expensive option to clear our toilets from the outside didn’t work, he did it from the inside the old fashioned way, with a hand augur, while his field supervisor, Jarrett, plunged the other toilet to increase the pressure. They did a substantial amount of work from the outside, but still only charges me for the hand augur, saving me almost $100! Thanks Jeff and Jarrett!

I like the fact they dont charge to come out however you cant even get an idea of pricing until they come out. Kitchen sink standard cleaning is 365.00. Now i know why. That being said, Christian who came out was out very quickly and very professional. He cleaned out our stuck pipe under a slab. Despite the price they are very good.

I was the neighbor of someone who used Rotor Rooter. They used excavator to dig up the alley between our houses and clipped my gate with their machinery. My gate was placed back in its spot, broken with no notice or explanation. Luckily we found this before our dog started running the neighborhood. Our chain link has seen better days and was also grabbed by the trash man at one point so I get how you might not “care” based on how it already looks. It just seems that if you break something, you should fess up and do the right thing.

Sewer line to street clogged up at 9pm. Called and made an appt for next morning to clean out the sewer line. Showed up on time and fixed the problem quickly. Other companies I called could not come out for 1 or 2 days but Roto-Rooter came out the next morning.

The technician, Zach, was very professional and demonstrated excellent technical skills unplugging a very stubborn clogged kitchen sink. He instructed me on how to professional care for my pipes to prevent future clogs. He was compliant with the COVID-19 prevention protocol and always put his shoe covers on before entering my home. He even secured and locked the door on his way out. He demonstrated trustworthy qualities. Based on my experience, I will continue to use Roto-Rooter for my plumbing needs.

My name is Ana Richardson, on Oct. 8 , a plumber named Muana Khiangte installed two toilets in my residence 556 Cielo Vista Ct.

He worked hard going up the stairs with a super heavy load and no help.

I noticed some leaking in the side of the toilet when flushed. Called the company to ask for a supervisor to check the work done.

The dispatcher thought that I wanted the plumber to come back. I didn't want a plumber again. I wanted to know if it was the installation or a bad toilet. Roto Rooter sent another plumber named Kima who checked the toilet and found something in the toilet that was not placed correctly. Anybody can make a mistake, specially when you are so tired. The new plumber put it right and everything works right.
