I highly recommend Boz and Highlights Chicago for any challenging custom electrical installation projects that might be on your horizon! Professional, efficient, adaptable & knowledgeable are words that come to mind when describing the electricians of Highlights Chicago! After receiving several quotes for the replacement of two light fixtures, one that hung 20 ft. up in the foyer and the other that hung 17 ft. up in the primary bedroom, I chose Highlights Chicago for the job based in large part on several strong recommendations. Boz came through with his dream team of Raul, Gustavo & Christian. Original plan - use a 20' ladder for the foyer install but at 7:15 am this past Wednesday morning, the ladder quickly proved too large for the narrow foyer space. Undaunted, the crew came back the same morning and at 9:45 am, set about quickly building a 20' scaffold in the space to remove an old, wrought iron fixture that had come with the house and installing an antique store find in its place. Watching the progress, I was impressed with the speed, knowledge & teamwork that the three electricians displayed. Also, maneuvering 20 ft. up on the somewhat precarious scaffold was no easy feat, but the crew made it look effortless. Once the foyer job was finished, the scaffold was dismantled and brought up to the 2nd floor primary bedroom in order to remove an old ceiling fan that hung 17 ft. above. Down came the ceiling fan & up went the new chandelier and its numerous crystals that the team put together & hung while 12 ft. in the air. Both installs were finished by 1:45 pm, and the crew left the home spotless and the new light fixtures gleaming. Well done! I will definitely use Highlights Chicago for future rehab projects in both my real estate & interior design businesses! Thank you Highlights Chicago!

Highlights did a bunch of work on our house. We had used them previously to do work in our condo (they were the best to install a couple of ceiling fans--previous review). We moved to an older home and they have been out twice. First to install and update a bunch of wiring and outlets. The latest time, they came out to install a couple of outlets for a sump pump, but because the breaker box was small and outdated we ended up just upgrading to 200 amp service. Not only were they able to get it scheduled within a week (big job), they also cleaned up a bunch of the wiring in the basement.Boz (the main contact) is great--very helpful and a nice guy. His crew was very professional and worked hard for two days. The city inspector was just out to review the work for the permit, it was a quick inspection and passed with no issues.I did get one other quote for comparison (from a place that a co-worker recommended) and their quote was within $100 of Highlights for the 200 amp upgrade. Our experience is that Highlights does high quality work and their prices are reasonable. We have recommended them to our friends who need electrical work.

Highlights Chicago Electrical Services was awesome. It was by chance I found them and I'm glad I did. I called them in the morning about our faulty smoke alarm system. This was about 10:00AM. They told me they could be out there by 2:00PM, THE SAME DAY!!! Sure enough, the technician arrived right on time, and changed all four of our smoke alarms. Best of all, they put in top-of-the-line smoke alarms, which is what we really needed.Thanks, guys, you really got the job done. You're the best!!!

Absolutely loved working with Kemal and Raul! Kemal was very easy to get in touch with and scheduled a visit asap to attend to my electrical needs. I had a water heater that kept tripping an outlet. Water heater repair people wanted to replace the heater. I held out and checked out the electrical first. Turned out to be the outlet. A much easier and cheaper fix. Would use these guys again in a heartbeat! Especially Raul. He was fast, super clean, wore a mask and booties at my request with no prob. Highly recommend.

We hired Highlights to do several electrical updates in our new home. We are so happy with the work they did and the process was very smooth. Boz came out to do a walkthrough of the property and gave us an initial proposal. We were able to communicate back-and-forth by email to add projects and modify the proposal. On the date of service, Boz came back to do another walkthrough with the electricians who completed the work. The electricians were professional, efficient and did excellent work. Highlights did a wonderful job for me! I had an an issue where a wire inside my A/C condenser unit (on the roof) had malfunctioned and had shorted. The A/C repairman said I needed an electrician to come replace the whip and the disconnect electrical box. Within 1 hour of my calling, Highlights was at my house and fixing my electrical. I live in a walk-up building where roof access is off the balcony via a ladder. They brought all of the necessary tools, equipment, and material to ensure the job could be finished that day. I had a lot of questions for them about when and why this occurred and they answered all of them. They made me comfortable throughout the repair. They were very professional and I cannot say enough about how easy and nice they made the entire process.

What a great experience. Admittedly, this was a small job (hanging a couple of pendant lights in our bath), but I've had less than positive experiences with other electricians in the past, so I was skeptical. But Highlight's exceeded expectations and lived up to their rave reviews. Provided a quick and reasonable estimate within hours. Kaplan showed up right on time, explained the issues with the existing fixtures and installed the new ones in a flash. Cordial, efficient and conscientious. Niki followed up the next day just to make sure all went well. The price was great (even less than the estimate). I really appreciate good customer service and these guys delivered.

I learned about Highlights Chicago through online forums as they were a recommended installer for EV chargers.I spoke with Boz and he provided a detailed explanation of how they were going to route the NEMA outlet from the basement, where my box was located, up to the garage. It was not easy as it needed to be routed through tight spaces and crawspace, but they were able to get it done.The total job took about 3-4 hours, with Mladen and Kaplan as my techs. The two were very knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions. When they were servicing the work, they laid tarp to ensure my basement did not get dirty. They brought cleaning spray and cleaned after themselves once the job was finished.Should I move houses and need a new EV charging port, I will be going back to Highlights. Competitive prices + professionalism was huge in my experience.

It's too bad I can't give Highlights ten stars for the work they did for us. They are just that good. I asked Boz to come in and quote a bunch of work for our kitchen, bathroom, and electrical panel that were left unfinished by our irresponsible contractor for our home renovation. Boz gave us a very reasonable quote to essentially fix a bad haircut. It involved fixing numerous outlets and switches, missing breakers, lighting, as well as new outlets and circuits. I was skeptical that it could be done in one day. Boz assessed the situation perfectly and pointed out things that I did not even know had been done negligently by the previous contractor.I had been told by other electricians that they couldn't come in for a month. Boz sent in three of his electricians in the same week in which I signed the quote. Juve and Jose were two of the names I remember, but all three men were kind, clean, professional, and unbelievably thorough. They communicated everything to me and even gave me advice on which appliances to plug in where (who knew a four-slice toaster draws more power than a microwave oven on full throttle?). When they had questions, they didn't just ask me, but they also gave me my options and recommendations. When I didn't have an answer, they made the best decision possible and it worked.They even did work that I didn't think of in order to do a complete job for the kitchen. They didn't add a single additional charge for any extra work they did... they did what they thought should be done in order to do the job right and completely. This is unheard of these days...anywhere. They worked relentlessly all day and only broke for lunch for an hour. They arrived at 7 am and worked until 5:30. Before they started, they protected all kitchen surfaces where they worked. Before they left, they cleaned up EVERYTHING. I have worked with many contractors in my commercial real estate job and in my home, and I have never met a group of tradesmen who were THIS good, this thorough, and this courteous. My only regret is that we didn't have them as our electricians for our renovation from the start. I cannot say enough good things about Highlights, Boz, and the staff. Remarkable.

I needed an electrician for an outlet in my basement because I had just purchased a washer and dryer. Also, my garage needed complete new wiring after a replacement roof, and all the old wiring was gone anyway. I called Highlights Chicago and spoke with Boz, the electrical technician. He came by and analyzed what I needed done and sent me a proposal for both jobs the next day. The price was very reasonable for each but I wanted to start with the basement outlet first, then would decide on the garage afterwards. Needless to say, I was overly impressed with the professional work that was done. So, I called them back right away to have them come back and completely wire up the garage. Boz showed up with Ben, William and Gerardo. I work from home and let them know if they needed me they could call me at any time. Well before I knew it they were done (they are fast as well as efficient) and asked for me to come and take a look at the finished work. Oh my god, I was so happy and excited with the quality of work they did in my garage. My garage lighting looks great and I'm totally satisfied. I was blown away! I now have a go to company for all my electrical needs. LOL. It's very hard to find someone you can trust to come to your property and do what they say they're going to do and actually execute it. But when you do happen to find a company that takes pride in their work, and do a really great job, you'll want to hang on to those companies such as Highlights Chicago. I wouldhighly recommend them to everyone I know. because they do such excellent work.

I'm so glad I found Highlights Chicago! I bought a house in 2021 that needed a new electrical panel installed. I met with Boz, and he understood exactly what needed to be done. Oscar and Gustavo did the work, which included adding an entirely new electrical service line. They did a very thorough job from start to finish. We had humidistats installed in our bathrooms and also outdoor lighting/outlets on our rooftop. I spoke with several electricians about my 1946 home, and I am so grateful that I chose Highlights! They upgraded my electrical service, replaced my panel, added appropriate grounding, rewired and replaced as much cloth wire as possible. The team of technicians worked so hard on my house, and they were extremely personable and helpful. They explained what they were doing, asked for my input, and were extremely diligent about fixing strange issues they came across. I appreciated that they billed based on time and materials (rather than a fixed price) because I knew if I asked for something extra they would charge me accordingly and not feel put out. I was so impressed with how well the team worked together and so grateful for the creativity and attention to detail they brought to problem solving. As both a homeowner and long-time landlord, I am very skeptical about all contractors. I found Highlights Chicago Electrical Services on Yelp, and was even more skeptical regarding well over 200 five-star reviews. I needed a major electrical service upgrade done on a historic landmark apartment building I own so I had no choice but to do the research and select a contractor.I know there are ways to get great reviews on Yelp. However, nine times out of ten, those people or services won't bother to write reviews in great detail, let alone many paragraphs in length. As I read through the reviews I realized they were legit.I can now add mine to the list. This company has truly earned every five-star review it has received. I have NEVER had such a positive experience with an electrical contractor. Quite the opposite. I got 3 different estimates, and they weren't the lowest, and not the highest either. Boz came out to look at what needed to be done (which included undoing the disaster the previous electrician created) within a few hours of my call. He explained everything in detail, and the pro's and con's of what my options were.They never asked for any payment upfront. The estimate was extraordinarily detailed. Shock number one. The team I was assigned, Kaplan and Jose, showed up ready to go at 7 am the next day! Shock number two. They worked their butts off until well after 6 pm! Shock number 3. They came back the next two days and did it again. Shock number 4.This is a company that is proud of what they do. The end result looked like a work of art! The conduit was perfectly aligned, evenly spaced and so symmetrical I couldn't get over it. Every detail was addressed, and all done without cutting corners, dodging building codes, or overcharging. Old houses are not easy to work on and require a lot of patience and genuine expertise. They worked around all the challenges and knocked it out of the ballpark.As long as they are in business, I will NEVER use anyone else. The few hundred dollars you might save going with the lowest cost option is nothing compared to the misery you will spare yourself by having this company do the work. If I could give them more stars I would. They are also really nice people to work with. When was the last time you thought that about a contractor?

These guys are absolutely AWESOME!Kemal took my initial request and was so attentive scheduling Raul and Jose to install several light fixtures in my Rogers Park condo.They removed an old ceiling fan from my bedroom and replaced it with a new ceiling fan I purchased. They also installed a new fixture in my dining room and living room. The new fixtures were still in the boxes, so they put everything together too, saving me hours of frustration. The guys were so patient, showed up on time, put booties on their feet and wore their masks.With the new fixtures, I decided to replace ugly wall sconces and contacted Kemal again and he sent someone over in 1 hour! This time Elvir arrived and once again, put booties on over his shoes and wore his mask. Elvir is super tall, 6'6 so he didn't even need a ladder! He carefully measured and made sure the sconces were even. Everything looks GREAT!Highlights Chicago are the best!!!

Highlights Chicago responded to my online inquiry for service within a few short hours, despite it being a Sunday. A technician was at our house and the dodgy outlet fixed within 24 hours of my initial request. Not only did they resolve the issue in a timely manner, they followed up with us later in the day to make sure we were happy with the work and had no follow up questions. Finally, the bill came in below the initial quote. This company clearly knows their work and has the professionalism and follow-through that customer dreams are made of. Highly recommend!

These guys are incredible - great service, value, and unlike many contractors they take the time to really explain what they are doing, and why it is important. My partner and I recently purchased a 100 year old Chicago 2-flat that we thought needed a bit of work but, as it turns out, is one of those buildings where the previous owners thought they knew best and made slapdash DIY repairs/upgrades that are at best mediocre and at worst extremely dangerous. The Highlights team has already helped us bring the electric in the two flats up to code, disconnected the bonkers wiring in the basement in preparation for a demo and rebuild, and, when we realized the 8 ceiling fans throughout the building were disconnecting from the ceiling and hazardous to operate, came in and serviced and anchored all of the fans (apparently the previous owners had cut holes in the ceiling, connected the wiring, and called it a day). Then, when our demo team accidentally cut the power to our boiler furnace in January cold, they were able to get people out to us the day we called, earlier than their estimated time by 40 minutes, and the heat back up immediately. Sometimes they are a bit slow to respond, so follow up is important, especially right now when COVID is running rampant and making people call out sick and isolate, but these guys are worth waiting for, and they will come through in a crunch. As we continue to repair and renovate our home, we will continue to call on these guys, and I will be recommending them to anyone in their service area. Thank you, Baz and team!

I would highly recommend the team at Highlights Chicago. Mladen and Delvin were efficient and provided very high quality work. Before finding Highlights, we had attempted to work with another electrician to complete some work on our house, but experienced numerous delays and decided to look for another company. I can't overstate how great Highlights was. I did a large electrical remodel of a 2 flat and had Highlights do a ton of work, including new electric service, dozens of new outlets, and partially rewiring the apartments. Not only did they come back with the best quote out of any electricians I spoke with, but they did great work. Johan was on time, professional, and generally went above and beyond. Despite my building being over 100 years old and the previous owner doing a lot of shoddy DIY electric work, Johan and team were able to get everything upgraded, safe, and up to code. Highlights Chicago Electrical Services had done fantastic work for our condominium association in the past so when I personally needed work done, I hired them. They replaced a faulty GFCI outlet by my kitchen sink, removed an old audio volume control from the wall and installed a new chandelier. They asked questions appropriate for the work. (chandelier placement, chandelier height, etc.). They worked efficiently and cleaned up when their work was complete. I would definitely hire them for future work.Update - 27-Oct-2021- I had additional work to be done. Again, the electrician that came out did a fantastic job. They replaced a wired smoke detector with a combo smoke detector / carbon monoxide detector, capped off the original carbon monoxide detector, replaced 1 closet light, and replaced 2 exterior lights. He worked swiftly and efficiently. I will definitely use them again for my future electrical needs.

I was in search of an electrician to work on my bungalow. The team put in new exterior outlets, split up two lights that were wired serially to the same switch, while replacing old cloth wire with updated wiring, and installed a dimmer switch for me.I found these guys on Google just looking for local electricians in the area. Their reviews were good and their estimate was very competitive. Additionally, they were very responsive in coming out to look at the job, and were conservative about their options to tackle some of the trickier aspects of the job.The end result is great so far. I will have to do some repair myself on the drywall removal for the new outlets, but they communicated this clearly going ahead of time.

Highlights was great - they were extremely responsive and communicative in the scheduling process. initially told me it would take 3 hours to install self grounding outlets, a couple of GFCI outlets, and troubleshoot a light in our entry way, but they showed up on time and with a couple of technicians and got it done in under 1.5 hours. Really amazing crew. We had them install a new sub-panel in our garage (to power my expanding wordshop). They were about $1000 cheaper then the other two quotes we got and the quality of the work was awesome. They scheduled the job for about a week after the quote was finalized and were done in a day. They even rewired the current electric lines into the new subpanel even though that wasn't part of the original quote. Highly recommended.

My husband and I bought our first house this year, and the electricity was crumbling at best. There were rooms and closets with no overhead fixtures at all. To top of off, our electrical box on our exterior was not up to code for reasons I won’t get into it here. To sum it up, our house was a huge undertaking.Baz came to our house and was very pleasant, as we walked through room by room. He took notes, and even returned promptly in the next couple of days when we got cold feet on some of our decisions (where to relocate ext box). Not only that, he cleaned up and removed old cords so that we didn’t have a rats nest going to the alley. Amazing!His team, led by Cristobal and Kaplan, and spent about 2-3 weeks working incredibly hard in our house, in the heat of the summer, and full of dust. They added 100 amp circuit, a new electrical box, circuit board, replaced all switches and outlets, and added all my custom overhead fixtures with such care and precision. They were gracious, and patient when I changed my mind on things and added switches, ect. They kept a steady pace the whole time, and were so polite about coming back to our house when light fixtures arrived after our first large initial push. I would 100% recommend them to my friends and anyone else wondering if these guys are the ones for the job. They sure are!

Make sure you discuss the feasibility of the installation PRIOR to agreeing to have them come out. I wanted to replace an existing chandelier with a 6 inch canned light to exactly match all the other canned lights in the room. I sent photos of the existing canned lights and the chandelier. When they arrived, the technician didn't even bring materials for a canned light and instead brought a DIY type bathroom style light instead, so they knew the installation of a canned light wouldn't have worked because of this adjacent vent and didn't communicate that to me. They still charged me with the full $185 minimum house call fee in addition to the material of the fake light, when I could have just gone to home depot and bought it and installed myself in an hour.

Highlights Chicago did a great job overall. We had electrical boxes added in our ceiling to center a chandelier and addition of two kitchen pendants. We also had several cans installed in place of track lighting. The technicians Raul and Juve were very thoughtful and helped us plan out where to place our lighting for the best results. Our ceiling light fixtures were centered perfectly. They were very respectful and made sure that no mess was left after the job. The property management company I work for has used Highlights for a number of electrical maintenance requests lately. They've done everything from replacing bad outlets to replacing bad lighting fixtures or upgrading them. Kemal in particular is always cheery, bright, and professional! All of these 5 star reviews aren't wrong. I found Highlights via a google search as I was looking for an electrician to install a chandelier and dimmer switch. Seeing the great responses I gave them a call and am glad I did. I spoke with Kamal who was able to send someone out the next afternoon. Raul, the technician who came, was amazing. Showed up in a mask, took off his shoes (even though I didn't ask) and was super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I highly recommend Highlights. Needed a second opinion on some electrical repairs, and Baz was able to make it out for an estimate the next day (he would've come the same day if I'd been available!). Not only was he able to match the competitor's price, but he included a few small additional services on top, and was able to book me only 3 days later (again, would've been 2 if not for myself).Raul and Jose showed up on time, in masks, and made an effort to keep as much of the snow outside as possible. Then they spent 2 hours outside installing a ground rod when it was only 5 degrees F. They cleaned up my electrical panel and installed a new circuit to replace a hazardous power strip in the basement left behind by the previous owner.When they were finished, Jose took the time to mop up any slush from outside, which was very much appreciated. We were very happy with our experience with Highlights. From start to finish, they were responsive, easy to communicate with, clear, and flexible. On the day of service Juve and Oscar went above and beyond. They were kept us up to date on progress and were flexible and open to making things work for our old house that has some creative electrical configurations. Ultimately, they completed everything on our list including fixing an outlet, reconfiguring three way switches, installing a new outlet, and installing a wired doorbell. They even helped us figure out some of our unlabeled switches on our fuse box. Updated Oct 19, 2021: I used Highlights about a year ago to install a light fixture in my apartment, and everything went perfectly (please read my original review below)! Now a condo owner, I needed to have a ceiling light installed as well as have a new outlet added in my laundry closet.Boz stopped by to perform the estimate, and he was very straightforward, providing both a plan A (which involved using existing conduit for the new outlet) and a plan B (running new conduit up to the ceiling and to the breaker box). The light installation was rather straightforward.When the time came to move ahead with the project, I had a few challenges scheduling that I did not encounter previously. I chalked this up to the current high demand for tradespeople and also to a family emergency with my main contact at Highlights. Once scheduled, Boz returned with Ben and an assistant, who ran conduit for the light fixture and replaced the wall box to a 2-gang box. Ben was also able to use existing conduit to run the laundry outlet wiring, a big positive!Highlights was willing to work with me on a second visit by Ben, since my light fixture did not arrive by the time of the first visit. Ben and an assistant came back out to install the fixture once it arrived, and did a great job.I had a few minor quibbles this time around, with scheduling (as mentioned) and with the work. For example, the laundry outlet was to be put on a new breaker, but it was wired to an existing (but essentially unused) breaker instead. Functionally it all works the same, but there was a minor misunderstanding somewhere along the way.All in all, I'm quite happy with the work and I'll use Highlights again in the future!Original Oct 6, 2020: Simply put, my experience with Highlights Chicago was amazing! I initially contacted Kemal asking for a quote on installing a light fixture. After exchanging some texts and pictures of the room, Kemal provided me a quote that was in line with others I'd received.I had several follow-up questions for Kemal, since I wanted to avoid opening up the drywall in the room if possible. Kemal sent an electrician, Raul, over at no charge to assess the install in person and put together a plan that would avoid cutting into the walls. Once I wanted to move ahead, Raul and an assistant were able to come out *the next morning* to install the fixture.They draped and covered the entire room, and did a great job installing the conduit and fixture. Raul even consulted me several times during the installation to ensure the fixture was installed exactly the way I wanted it. They did a wonderfully thorough job and cleaned up the room very well once they finished!I won't hesitate for a second to call up Highlights Chicago for any future electrical work - they've set an amazingly high standard for quality of work. I was looking to get a fan installed on the ceiling. This place is one of the quotes I got. They were quick to respond , somebody also came down to look at the job and provided a quote within one day after the walkthrough. Good experience till here.The quote was a bit high at $700 to install a fan. But the biggest surprise was when he said he had to cut down the dry wall to install the fan on the ceiling. He said drywall would have to be opened up to install junction box. In addition he said that they dont patch the dry wall so once they install a junction box for the fan on the ceiling, I would the have to call a handy man to patch the drywall OR I could patch the drywall after installing the fan.He doesn't know that you can buy a junction box from Lowes that can fit into a small hole on the ceiling. The hole is easily covered by the top portion of the fan. I'm not sure whether he was taking me on a ride OR he just did not have an understanding on how to install a ceiling fan. In any case did not go with this company. Got another company for less than half the price plus no drywall patching or anything like that.I did not really care about the price, but what surprised me is a company which has a 5/5 rating on google did not know that a ceiling fan could be installed without ANY drywall work- this was specific for this project. ( to note, wiring was already present from the lights nearby, and I was removing the lights , so no major wiring work was required for this job)

The service they provide is outstanding. I called Sunday morning expecting to leave a message but I got to speak with one of the electricians. They came to my house two days after and did a great job getting 220 power for a new oven I needed installed all the way from the basement to the kitchen. They did a great and thorough job on running a dedicated home run line for in-unit laundry in my vintage condo. During this project they ran a junction box for a ceiling light in my living room. I had an issue installing the light. I called Kemal who conferenced in Jimmy to literally talk me through how to finish my self install. This project was not easy, involved cutting into existing walls to run conduit and figuring things out along the way. Boz and his crew were outstanding. I had three highly rated companies provide estimates. Though the prices varied, I chose Highlights Chicago.Highlights did quality work, no shortcuts. All work done to code.Work included new panel, as old panel had no open circuits and was overloaded. Due to the storms Tuesday, a neighbor's tree fell in our yard and took down our powerlines and weatherhead. Wednesday morning left us scrambling to find a good electrician on short notice as our ComEd technicians informed us it was on us to have our weatherhead repaired.After calling around to several places that had decent reviews, but couldn't guarantee availability, we received a recommendation from a different electrical service company to contact Boz and co at Highlights. I called Boz in the morning to have an issue with our electrical panel checked out, which was found in a home inspection and everyone at the company was extremely friendly and accommodating. I was referred here by the owner of Skyline Electric, since they couldn’t fit us in.We were hoping to get this issue addressed ASAP and Boz assured me they would get someone out between 12-2. I got a text message with a better time frame and the technician was even early! Mike showed up and he was friendly, compassionate and very knowledgeable. He is just a great person all around. During the excavation work as part of our pool project, the electrical feed from the house to the garage was severed. The concrete was going to be poured in 2 days, so I needed the electrical work done quickly. Boz came by within an hour to assess the situation. He sent me an email with a fair quote that night. Spectacular Service.I am so thankful I called Highlights. Boz, and his team - Oskar and Rolando were everything and more.I called to get a second opinion on installing a sub panel to power radiant heating for my floors (requiring two additional dedicated 240v lines). This review comes without even needing to have work done. We frantically called Highlights on a holiday weekend...during quarantine because our rental unit had lost power to one entire wall. Kamal returned our call promptly and was able to set up an appointment for first thing the next day (I believe he even went into the office to make sure he had an appointment time...on a holiday). As it turns out, it was a ComEd issue and once they repaired the outside equipment, all power was back on in the unit. Kamal was easy to work with while figuring out if we needed to keep our appointment. He talked to us and texted back promptly, even though it was a holiday weekend. When it ended up being a ComEd issue, Kamal was cool with cancelling our appointment and very helpful and professional letting us know to call him if we ever run into issues again. We will have no problem recommending Highlights and/or calling again whenever we have issues. 10 stars!

There was smoke coming from the heating element a ceramic glass top stove that I had damaged several months ago (long story). It was late at night and I called several emergency electricians and they either stated they would not help me or they did not answer their phone. Kemal was the only one who took my call and walked me through figuring out my electrical panel AND IT WAS PAST MIDNIGHT! I own a condo in a very old building and I am always conscious of the potential for electrical fires. Kemal was super patient and I was able to sleep comfortably knowing that my place was not going to go up in flames. Kemal offered to send someone to help investigate further in the morning, but I was able to find someone to help me unplug the stove. I ultimately did not use Highlights as they were not needed, but I sure will for my next project!

I 99% of the time rely on friends and family to suggest a business like this. Electrical work is scary important. Bad work can literally kill you or burn your house down.So, after no good suggestions on Facebook I did some research and carefully chose this business.Two men showed up. They were friendly enough. Didnt explain much but thats ok. I know nothing about it. They upgraded my 240V for washer/dryer to a double grounded 240V. Took 36 minutes. They wiped away any dust. $280 which from what I've read is fair for two insured electricians in Chicago.I would recommend. 5 stars because it was quick. They came here 13 hours after my call on a weekend. They did the job and did it right. They arrived inside the 2 hour window. Im happy. :)

Called one company based in River North for an electrical issue I was having in my condo. Even though my property is in the south loop area, about a 10 min drive from River North, they claimed I was outside their service area. No worries; not the first time that's happened. So I discovered Highlights Chicago and had texted the contact number and quickly received a response from Boz, apparent owner. The next morning at 7:30a, Raul arrive promptly and was able to quickly diagnose my issue. 20 min later, I had two new electrical outlets and a clear understanding as to why I was hearing sparking noises behind the old outlets. Pricing was fair, relatively speaking for qualified electricians these days. The most important thing is I feel at ease knowing an expert did the repair and my place will not be burning down! I have a couple of ad hoc electrical projects that I intend to have done and I'll be sure to give these guys a call.

Overall a very good experience. We needed an electrician because the weather was getting cold and our new warehouse space didn't have any heat. They came out ran new electric lines for our 3 heaters. No issues or problems. They even installed a central switch to control the units. I would use them again in he future

I had Highlights install an EV charger in my garage as well as wiring to power an electric water heater. Both jobs were proposed quickly, and completed in short order at a good price.Both jobs involved outdoor conduits, and they are unobtrusive (underground when possible) and well made. Everything just worked without fuss. Highly recommend.
