Best company for plumbing leak problems. They came out and check the pool spa of my customer and was very professional and on time. I recommend you call American Leak Detection for any water leak problems.
Very informative, knew what they were doing felt comfortable with technician.
I had a water leak underneath my sink that I wasn’t aware of. Come to find out it was from the faucet line. They told me it was a ongoing slow leak and it should be covered. StateFarm sent them out and the way the tech wrote out the info in the documents caused my claim to be denied. I called my personal plumber to fix it was told that the leak was inside the faucet line and should of been documented that way and covered.
I contacted this company to detect leaks in my swimming pool. When I spoke to them about this, I was told that my pool water must be clean and clear to the bottom of the pool. I told them that the water was clean and clear but there was debris on the bottom since the pool cleaner was thought to have a leak and, therefore, was not working. I also told them we were swimming in the pool. I was sent a Standard Work Authorization by email and asked to sign it and return it by email, which I did. When the technician arrived today, he said he could not assess the pool because the pool was not diveable and there was poison ivy around the pool equipment. There was no poison ivy at the pool equipment and I was NEVER told the pool had to diveable, whatever that means. The ACTUAL Authorization states the following: “In order to perform a complete detection the structure must be filled to normal operating level and the water must be clean and clear all the way down to the bottom. If we cannot perform a complete detection, the original leak detection fee will be charged for the testing that is performed and there will be an additional charge for any further testing. The technician will need access to the equipment area or room. If the technician does not have access to perform the detection or service is cancelled at the time we arrive at the job site a $ 185.00 service call fee will be charged.” Nowhere is the term diveable in the Authorization and no one at the company mentioned this to me at the time of scheduling. I attempted to negotiate with the company about this fee by suggesting that the fee be waived while I have the pool cleaned to their specifications and then have them return. They would not agree to this and insisted on our paying $185 for nothing!! I am a first-time pool owner and not savvy about pool technology. How does this company expect ME to know that “water clean and clear to the bottom” means that it be diveable? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

It took 4 separate phone calls (including a complaint to regional team) to get in touch with the local Atlanta office. They were highly recommended by another plumber I worked with so that's the only reason why I kept following up to get an appt. The inspectors who came out were on time, polite, and did a thorough assessment, so I'll give them credit for that. However it's been exactly 2 months and I've yet to receive the actual inspection report. I need the report so I can show my county water dept to get a credit on my water bill. I don't understand why it's so difficult for them to just answer the phone. Given how high the fees are, I would expect much better customer service
Very friendly service and they found the leak in no time. Follow the directions they give you when you make your appointment and your experience with them will be smooth as butter.

Had a really bad leak that was costing $500+ a month and had no idea where it was coming from. I called Leak Detection and they were able to find it within 30 minutes. Turns out it was 11 feet underground and they were able to pinpoint the exact location for my team to dig.

Customer service was excellent. Terri is so easy to work with. They are very professional. Jeremy did a great job. He found the leak very quickly. They also fixed our pool last summer. No leaks since then. I would highly recommend this company.

Had a leak repair in April and have continued to need to fill my pool with water weekly. Thought because the weather had been so hot it was evaporating. Now that it has cooled we are still having to fill the pool an inch every two days. Called American leak detection and was told I would need to spend another $499 to have my pool looked at. I ask if they found it was in the light would the $499 be covered and was told no. Told the representative that I would look for someone that would back their work and she said OK. Don't use them!

EDIT: (10-22-22) Just received a check in the mail for a full refund. While I greatly appreciate this, I am only raising my review to 3 stars because we had no communication between our time of complaint and the arrival of the check.
Called this company to find a leak in our outdoor water line. Took two weeks for an appointment. The technician came out and after about 30 minutes said he found the leak. Marked it in the yard so the plumbers could come fix it. Our plumbers came, dug, and that’s not where the leak was. Contacted their customer service at corporate to see what could be done about adjusting our bill and Ashley said she’d get back with us. It’s been a week and we have heard nothing back from them. But our bill and payment posted. Guess they got our money and they are done with us. DO NOT use this company!
I called American Leak detection and told them about a crack I had in my concrete pool. Instead of charging me to come out, diagnose and fix it, they walked me through (over the phone) a reapir that I could try on my own. Let me know to call them if it doesn't work. That's top notch customer service and honesty that you rarely find these days.
Awesome service above and beyond from Jared. We had a leak in a situation that was very difficult to track down. He worked with the plumber we had hired for hours until the leak was pinpointed. It's nice to see this level of customer service this day in time.
Had a leak under a concrete slab in a Townhome community. When the concrete people came out to bore a hole the leak was EXACTLY where American Leak Detection found it. Daryl did a thorough job and so very friendly..

They gave me a price up front, which was huge, so I didn’t use them. Glad they were honest.

A plumber referred the company to me to help him narrow the leak down, the worse decision I've made a in a very long time.
The technical was very professional and nice but he didn't mark the position of the leak and no indicator were the water was coming from or going . When I call back to get some assistance it was the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company I paid the day before! I question my plumber for referring me to these scam agents ,he said they use to be reliable ! Please save yourself the headache and money , DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!!
I really tried to give Chance Brooker of Atlanta leak detection and he did a very poor job. American leak Detection came to the rescue . They did a great job for us ths

Frustrated and Furious.
We contacted this company to fix a leak in our pool. We were sent terms of service to agree to via email. In the terms of agreement is the highlighted area where it is stated the condition the pool must be in to be serviced. The terms state that WATER MUST BE CLEAN AND CLEAR ALL THE WAY TO BOTTOM. While on the phone with Terry at American Leak Detection we were asked whether there was debris at the bottom. Terry was told that since the Polaris is not operational due to the leak that indeed there was debris on the bottom of the pool. Terry asked whether the bottom could be seen and if the pool was swimmable. The answer was yes. The agreement was signed and an appointment was made.
The technicians arrived this morning and determined that they could not service the pool because they could not dive. Also that there was poison ivy near the pool equipment. They left and indicated that we would be billed 185.00 for coming to our location. They referred us to Terry. Terry referred us the the agreement which we consulted with her while in the phone. She looked for the portion of the agreement regarding debris in the pool when I asked where it was stated the pool should be free of debris. She could not locate it. She then went on to say that the technician had deemed it undivable and the we would be charged the service charge. Asked where that was indicated in the agreement she again could not find anything where that was a stated term of service. She continued to state that we would be assessed a service charge.
I then spoke with owner of the company, Johnny English, who was unwilling to discuss the situation at all. Mr. English, ah the irony, would not discuss the wording on his service agreement, clearly preferring to ignore language as a method of communication more preferable to mind reading. Clearly Mr English struggles with language and overall reason, as indicated by his response to a five star review below where he denies that he is responsible for performing the work not understanding that he was being awarded accolades where another company had failed.
Clearly people do not schedule service knowingly when it cannot be performed. If I had been told or advised in any way of what was necessary for service to occur, I would have made sure that those conditions were met. I do not want to waste time or money.
I now wonder whether this company wished to do any business with me at all. There are tests that can be performed without entering the water. Those were not done. Also the technician stated that he could not access the pool equipment due to the Poison Ivy near the pad. Indicating the English ivy and Virginia creeper. Neither of which meet the adages, “leaves of three let them be, or if it’s hairy it is scary.

Please don't waste your time or money with this company! I contacted them about a leak and they came out - and supposedly fixed it. Leak was immediately apparent the next day. Called again - they said we're booked you have to wait 4 weeks. Waited 4 weeks, came again, did not fix leak. Finally sent another tech after 5 more weeks of waiting - he found another source of leak - but was supposed to contact me to fix - never did. Called and talked to manager and she suggested I try another company since [ was frustrated with them. They had been paid to do the work and didn't. I called another company, they found leak amd fixed leak within a 2 week period (had to wait for a part - but stayed in.contact) Ridiculous!!
