I called this morning and Jim came out to our home around 11:00. He asked several important questions about our problem(toilet over flowed and could not use my kitchen sink or dishwasher without it happening again. ) He told us what he was going to do to try to clear the problem. He then suggested using the camera to see what was going on as this has been a recurring problem over the years and he wanted to be able to fix the “core”problem. He was able to clear all pipes and gave us some info to better care for our drains. He also discussed the probability of other work to be done a little later. Our 50 yr old cast iron pipes have some rust that may need further attention. He wore shoe covers and cleaned everything up before he left. We were happy with his service.

call them with an emergency, they will come as soon as possible. They are
professional, truthful, clean, positive and can handle any problem. They repiped my whole house, told me it
would take four days and they finished in three and had the inspection on the
fourth day. Every single employee has
a great work ethic and they explain everything carefully. I will never use anyone else!

After two other plumbers failed to find my leak, Besel guys went under the house with good ole' common sense and experience and found the leak and had it fixed within a couple hours.

Because I am not at all familiar with plumbing problems, products or resolutions, I have called on Besel Plumbing to inform and advise me. Their expert advice always helps me to make an informed intelligent decision to resolve my plumbing issues. When I have a plumbing issue or question Besel Plumbing is my first call !

I tried removing a fitting to connect a hose to the spigot. And the pipe snapped off. I didn’t realize it was our main water into the house. I called 5 other companies and one being an emergency service but was told couldn’t see us until the next. Batton Plumbing referred us to Besel Plumbing sent someone right away. Shawn was very polite explained what was going to do abs it was fixed within an hour! This what I can exceptional service.

Simply the best! Jim was on-time, neat, personable and double checked that everything was working properly. We could not have been more pleased. Will use again. Highly recommend.

I want to let you know of the fantastic job that Joe and his helper Shawn did installing our new hot water tank. Our tank is located in a small laundry room which also includes a full size washer, dryer along with a laundry tub. Joe informed me on what the plan was to install the new tank, They were going to move the washer and dryer outside and relocate the tub to be able to get the old tank out and the new tank in.

When installing the new tank they suggested some updates that were needed. Such as installing a pan under the tank and running a drain line from the tank to outside, new copper piping for the tank, along with new copper pipes and valves for the washer.

They did an excellent job, the laundry room was clean and looked better then when they started.

If there was a rating system, Besel Plumbing would be given 5 stars.

It's a wonderful thing to be able to recommend a company for their professionalism, altruism and customer service. Our experience with Besel Plumbing spans many years and we've appreciated these traits from day one. Their plumbers are skilled diagnosticians who take pride in their work. In approaching an install or repair they consider implications beyond the job at hand. One example: the proposal for a water softener install included a recommendation to flush our tankless water heater. Jeff explained that our municipal water supply is laden with minerals and that our tankless water heater would likely have mineral deposits that would negatively impact performance and life expectancy. Having Besel Plumbing take the time and care to evaluate systems surrounding the contracted job is a just one way in which their professionalism sets them above their competition. With this as the standard, it comes as no surprise (but is worth mentioning) that their plumbers arrive in uniform, with identification, driving well-stocked, professional grade vehicles. Cleanliness is an attribute of both the plumbers and their work. Any time a plumber has entered our home he did so wearing shoe covers. Work areas, both inside and out, were free of debris or any evidence work had been done there. With the exception of a beautiful new water softener. All of this would be sufficient to recommend any business, but their support of community charities and non profit organizations really put them over the top. In all they do, it's clear Besel Plumbing invests in their plumbers, the community and, most of all, their customers.

I am rating Besel Plumbing with three stars for the following reasons: 1. They are extremely pricey. $90 appointment fee (does not apply to the cost of work). $560 to install three new connectors in my bathroom for the sink water lines and toilet water line. All of the connectors were on the outside of the wall in the bathroom so nothing behind the wall needed to be serviced. $558 to install the plumbing and fixtures for a single 24 sink and to reinstall a toilet tank. So we are now $1,118 invested in a very simple bathroom project (this pricing is strictly labor and does not include the fixtures that we purchased). 2.The toilet tank was not installed properly and would wobble when sitting down. Besel came back to our home to inspect the tank and we were told that they installed all of the correct parts and that we would simply need to live with the wobbly tank. After having an intense conversation with the tech he agreed to try and make adjustments. He was able to tighten the tank but only after a heated conversation took place. In closing, there are several plumbing companies in the Tampa Bay Area, and I suggest that you make calls to a few companies before hiring Besel. We ended up hiring a different company to finish the shower. No appointment fee and they charge by the hour. Again, Besel Plumbing is very expensive even for basic plumbing services.

We have used Besel Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs since buying our house a few years ago. Our home was built in 1947 and still had much of the original plumbing which began to experience significant issues shortly after moving in.

We've had our water main rupture requiring them to crawn under the house to dig up and replace the line. The emergency situation was terrifying for us as home owners, but a walk in the park for the professionals at Besel.

They installed a new outdoor faucet which we use all the time washing the cars.

They identified the source of a completely clogged kitchen drain, cleared the drain and replaced the bad pipes under the house that were exacerbating the issues.

They identified the source of a leaking toilet and repaired it with absolutely no leak since they fixed it.

The professionals at Besel have earned a customer for life with their affordable quality work, timeliness, and expertise explaining the myriad of issues we have experienced with the options available for repair.

Everyone from George on the phone to the owners (Besel is family owned and run) is polite, professional, follows through and is sincerely concerned with resolving my plumbing issue..... professionalism, friendliness and a sense of humor are bonuses.
Dave is my requested usual tech. Jim recently installed a water heater and trouble shot a suspected pipe leak. The techs always protect their work area, clean up their work site and respect my home.
In addition to the above, i am willing to pay a little more for Besel's service because of the owners sincere concern in providing excellent service, skilled service, plumbing issue resolution, his professional and friendly staff and his personal involvement in my satisfaction with his company's service/work provided to me.

We hired the Clean Plumbers to replace the outside faucets and shut-off valves in our commercial complex - Jim and Jay did an excellent job and also showed up on time which was important to our tenants & business owners (as the water was shut off for a few hours). Friendly and punctual, however what averaged out to $400 an hour seems steep to me.

Steve came to my house to fix a job done by a lesser plumber. With grace and diplomacy he explained the shortcomings of the previous installation and what he would do if this were his house. He explained that Besel is not the cheapest company to use, but that he stood by his work, and it would be done correctly this time. I will use Besel Plumbing from now on. I

Besel replaced the water heater in my new home, found the individual unit main shutoff (the HOA thought there was no such thing), and replaced the very old shutoff handle. They are pricey but worth it -- professional, reliable, personable. They go above and beyond.

Besel plumbing has been honest and professional to deal with each time I’ve used them. This time they sent plumber Jim, who I knew from high school, and he did a wonderful job; very efficient, kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Besel plumbing was highly recommended by my neighbor and I was informed they do work for many of the people on my street. We recently moved into a home in St. Petersburg and had some issues with two of our showers. The tech that came to our home for the first visit was professional and punctual. While he was here, our shower upstairs began leaking through the ceiling. I thought, wow how lucky that the plumber is here! (Turns out I was not so lucky). I asked the tech to please look at it and he assured me it was because the shower curtain wasn't closed all the way. I was not satisfied with the response and decided to run the shower again, while ensuring no water was getting out. Water still flooded through my ceiling. I called Besel plumbing back and they assured me someone would call me to schedule another appointment. After I didn't hear from them, I decided to have my husband attempt a call. He was told that a meeting was held by the company and they would be declining service for my residence. My husband continued to ask for an explanation...was this personal? was there anything we could to remedy the situation? did it have to do with the home? And we were continuously told that service was being denied. With the rise in antisemitism, we are always a little apprehensive that people are being discriminatory towards our family because we are Jewish. We continued to ask if this was personal, about the home, and if there was something we could do to make it right. The woman on the phone became extremely argumentative, informed us we were being marked for harassment and refused to provide any other information. After further investigation, this company did some work on my home in 2004. I am highly suspicious something is being covered up here because they refuse to tell us what is wrong with the home or why they are declining service. Based on my interaction with this company today, I will not recommend this company to anyone and informed my neighbors of my experience. I truly never write reviews, so please approach this company with extreme caution.

I called and spoke to a Michelle yesterday and requested a camera to scope our drains for a commercial business. She said she would get back to me on availability and get me a cost for their services. She got back to me today in a timely manner but denied services with our company. She cited “not enough manpower” for declining services. When I asked for availability later in the month, she said they would not be able to perform any work at our business. When I asked why we were being blacklisted, Michelle cited “was an office decision.” Still trying to figure out why we were declined services at our business that has been around since 1948. The lack of customer service and unprofessionalism in Besel’s response is what upset me. And would appreciate someone in management to call me back to clarify this issue.

I found what appeared to be a water leak in my master bathroom coming from the wall of my 8th floor condo. I had to have someone determine source quickly before damage could impact neighbors below. I called 4 other Plumber’s, 2 from recommendations of friends, 2 from web search. 2 didn’t answer, just machine. 2 couldn’t send anyone until following week. , I remembered that an organization that I work with uses Besel. When I called, the gal that answered, heard my story and said she would call back within the hour. Mike Besel called back and was going to get someone to me today! By then, the source of the leak had been found was non-urgent so a non-emergent appointment was scheduled. But, Besel impressed me that they were the only one out of 5 that answered, responded and were even prepared to help. I highly recommend this company!

I used Besel Plumbing on 4/10/23 to work on an exterior water line repair. In addition they performed a faucet installation and a toilet repair. I initially spoke with the owner Mike Besel who took the time to listen to my plumbing issues. He sent Jim to complete the work and Jim did an excellent job on all services. His communication skills were excellent as he let me know how he would perform each service. Jim took the time to perform the services carefully and tested his work as he went along to ensure there were no leaks. I would recommend Besel Plumbing and plan to continue using them as the need arises.

Based on previous experience with the company I wouldn't have thought of calling anyone else when my granddaughter announced, The bathroom is flooded. Chris answered promptly, pulled up info on previous calls over the years and said he'd have someone out to help between 1 and 3 PM. That's when Steve arrived, promptly located the problem and cleared the blockage. Great service from a solid company.

My water heater went bad and this company was there within an hour after i called.Steve was awesome...very professional and explained everything and left no mess.

I had water gushing into my driveway, and needed a plumber on an urgent basis. A friend recommended Besel Plumbing, and my husband and I had heard about their excellent work from our neighbors. From the moment I called, Besel treated me as if I was the most important customer they had, and Jim Moore was at our property within minutes. The problem was complicated, because the roots of our beautiful oak had broken a pipe, and water was gushing from the ground. Jim had the problem under control in a short time. He explained the solution to me and within a couple of hours everything was fixed and back to normal. I should note that Jim took special care of my husband's landscaping, replacing and watering the grass to ensure its growth and beauty. This company is awesome!

We contacted Besel plumbing a couple of weeks ago as we are doing a complete bathroom renovation. We would be needing the bathtub drain as well as the vanity moved to accommodate for our new fixtures. We were put on the schedule for Friday between 9-11. After 11, my husband called to see where the plumber was and they had no record of us coming. He scheduled a new appointment for Wednesday of the following week from 9-11. They again did not show up or call. I called them at 2pm to see what the deal was and they had no idea. I was put on hold and they came back on and said that the plumber had gotten himself into trouble so they were going to send someone else. Jeff came over and was very nice. He did not charge us for the initial visit and said that they would reach out shortly with a quote. We did not hear anything from them at all. This morning at 8:15am (Monday of the following week) I called them and asked if they had the quote ready. They said that they would call me right back. At 3pm I called again and was put on hold again. They then came on the phone and said that the job was outside of their scope and they were going to decline.

I feel like they have wasted my time and proven to be unreliable. I suppose I am grateful that I have learned this now and not after the work started.

We are so happy with the job that Besel Plumbing did replumbing our house. Besel Plumbing is so professional and that is why we felt confident having them do this work. Dave Besel’s work is that of a true craftsman, and their entire crew does an excellent job. The care that they take with their customer’s homes really puts them over the top!

As I was a previous customer with this company, I thought that I would call and use them once again. I was not available and had my wife at the residence. The technician “Joe” arrived and immediately attempted to “up sell” my wife with a new toilet prior to inspecting the cause of the problem. I knew the problem originated with a broken flange. After several calls to him, the flange was replaced. When I complained about the excessive bill, I was advised I received a deal. I’ve used the company before with no issues. If you use them, be aware of Joe.

I called on 6/3/19 to schedule a plumber to come look at my toilet which won't stop running; the customer service agent set my appointment for 6/11/19 at 9:00. I had existing appointments at 10:45 am and 12:00 pm, therefore I asked for and was scheduled the first appointment at 9:00 am. When no one showed by 9:00 am, I called to check. I was informed my appointment was on the books from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. This is not something I would have set up, as mentioned previously, I had other appointments. When I informed the customer service agent that I needed to cancel the appointment entirely, all he condescendingly responded was sorry 'bout that. If you want to set an appointment for a plumbing problem and have technicians actually show up, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Joe came out to take care of a slab leak between my kitchen and bathroom walls. He was highly skilled, professional and neat. I had started working with another plumber, but they were not able to come back out timely to finish their work, and Besel was able to come out very quickly (as I was without water) and they worked with me on the cost of the job! I would highly recommend them!

I called today about a water leak. Michelle made arrangements to get some one out today. Joe showed up fixed the leak. This is not the first time I've used their services. They have always been responsive and professional. I highly recommend Besel

I had a client selling their home and the general inspection noted there may be a minor leak at the base of a toilet. I called Besel Plumbing to have them come out and check it out. I was informed it would be an $89 service fee call and if any additional work was needed that would be extra (quite normal) The technician came out and was on site for roughly 5-10 minutes and confirmed their was no leaks with the toilets by looking at them. I was billed $269.00 for work completed, I was also called by the company to inform me of how the appointment went and to tell me the total cost, (apparently they didnt know I was present at the time the technician was there) When I questioned them about the total cost the lady got very rude and defensive on the phone with me, almost like she is very used to this response based on their business practices. She informed me she will gladly flag my name in their system so they never accept work from me anymore. I said no need as I will never be using them or recommending them again.

We had some bad piping in our new house, Jim and Shawn came to replace it. They were both very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Everything happened within the timeframes they told us and they even fixed a minor toilet problem while they were here. We will be using Besel Plumbing again if there are any issues in the future.

We worked with this company for 12 years. Jeff did a great job for us and recommended a new water filtration system. This year we needed to replace filters so we contacted the office to get some details on which ones as our notes indicated we should ask Jeff.

We talked with Michelle the admin and she was rude unreasonable and not of help in any way. Very poor customer service. When asked to speak with a manager she refused to send over the message and our calls. She lied that she was office manager when her signature line states admin. Then our office manager contacted her (sweetest woman) and the same treatment was given. She refused our business. We will happily go somewhere else. But this woman is going to mess up a good organization and a relationship for 12 years with thousands of dollars spent at Besel. It is a shame.

And reading some previous reviews looks like she has a history of being unreasonable, rude and causing issues. Shouldn't have people like that engaging with customers.

Great company, awesome service. Had a clogged kitchen sink and called out Besel Plumbing same day service. The tech Jim was awesome and did a great job even cleaned under my sink. Will definitely use them again and would reccomend them to anyone who needs service. Keep up the great work A++

I am very disappointed to write this review because my first impressions with this company were very pleasant until I learned the unpleasant sales tactics and deceptive misinformation practiced by their technicians. It all started when my sinks / shower / toilets began to drain poorly. I called Besel Plumbing and they promptly sent out one of their technicians. After snaking our sewer line through the shower (and charged us $380 mind you), the technician told us that he had cleared the blockage. Their technician then proceeded to tell us that he had 21 years of plumbing experience said that since our house was built in 1976, we had cast-iron pipes which were beginning to “grab” and “catch” items and furthermore while he was snaking he was able to pull “wet wipes” out of the drain which were leading to the blockage. He told us that he cannot guarantee for how long until the clog would return but if it did, he would need to come back and install a clean-out on the property (since we did not have one) and hydro-wash the drain which would run between $3,500 to $5,000. Well, the clog came back just a few days later but instead of calling Besel, we called a professional drain-cleaning company called Radle Rooter and they came out, used a camera to identify the clog and determined that we actually have PVC pipes! In addition, they installed a clean-out and hydro-washed by drains all for under $1,000. I am so ashamed of Besel to give us misinformation and mislead us to believe we have cast-iron pipes and to accuse our children of flushing wet-wipes down the toilet. We even told the technician from Besel Plumbing that we have NEVER once seen a wet-wipe in the toilet nor heard of any of our children flushing wet-wipes yet he continued along with this narrative. I hope the lesson from our story can save at least one customer from being taken advantage of. The proof that this company is lying to customers is that the Besel technician came out to our property TWO different times, and both times were able to see our pipes, yet still told us we had cast-iron pipes just shows that they are either liars or incompetent. Either way, both are just as dangerous.

This is a follow up from my first review of 3 stars due to the their pricing. Besel installed a new sink in our bathroom. After the work was completed and the tech left we realized that the sink was not draining properly (we had not used the sink since the new install). We called Besel back about the issue and they sent a tech to our home to home to determine the problem. We were told that the drain was clogged down the main line and not in the area that was installed by Besel, and it would be $295 to snake the line. I asked why the sink was not tested to make sure it was draining properly before the tech left after the installation. I was told that this was not their normal procedure. I obviously did not hire them to drain the line as I will not give them another penny as the job was not done correctly from the start. Besel has a professional staff and they give you the impression that they care. However, they are only focused on the dollars and not the customer. There are many plumbing companies so do your research. Very expensive and not customer focused.

On Friday late afternoon/early evening, I had a slow water heater leak (3rd floor) that needed a repair rather quickly as the valve was leaking and causing some water accumulation on ceiling below (2nd floor). After calling several plumbing companies without success, I received a referral to Besel Plumbing and spoke with the owner who sensed the urgency and agreed to get someone out to the house first thing Saturday morning.

The plumber, Robert, showed up and did an excellent job. Robert is professional, honest, extremely knowledgeable, gave me a detailed summary of the issue and how he was going to fix the problem, cleaned up the work area, explained the invoice, and gave me his cell # should any issue occur over the weekend after he left.

I highly recommend Besel Plumbing. Pricing is fair, quality of work is great, and technician Robert went above and beyond. Appreciate the quick response on a Saturday.

Even with the approach of Hurricane Irma, they came within half an hour of my call. They were great! They took care of the necessary permit, got the city to come out and repaired the leak that day. They returned after the hurricane to backwash and put my lawn back the way it was. They saved the day.

We are very happy with the work that Besel Plumbing did for us! We hired them to replace some old cast iron pipes with new pvc. Everyone we spoke to was kind, professional and knowledgeable. The workmanship was excellent and their customer service was terrific! We would absolutely hire them again!

I called because they came recommended by another company. I have an urgent issue that needs to be handled asap. I was told they would help me, so naturally I was very thankful. The woman whom I was speaking to was explaining to me the cost of service to have someone go out and diagnose it (which I know how this works and am fine with it) and I was simply asking when I would be charge this fee and then out of the blue she says to me she is declining doing service for me. I asked for an explanation and she would not give me one, she just kept telling me she is not going to help me. What a let down! I am told they would help me with a leak that is active and I cannot stop and then I am declined all in the same breath. How disappointing and I don't even know what I said or did. I asked and she wouldn't explain she just kept saying we will not help you sorry I am declining this service call.

The plumbers came out within an hour of me calling, and were able to replace my hot water heater on the same day. The plumbers were friendly and answered all of my questions. They are the best!

We had an excellent experience in getting our kitchen drain repaired. The Administrative Assistant, Michelle was friendly and helpful in explaining the details of the needed repair. Michelle was a pleasure to work with and got a plumber right out to take care of the job. The plumber had quite a job in cutting our concrete block to access our leaking kitchen drain. Jim and Shawn repaired it professionally and were personable and very detailed in making this difficult repair. I would recommend Besel Plumbing for any extensive repairs that you may need. The plumber did a great job of cleaning up and making sure the repair looked good. He also had to repair the block and did an excellent job of replacing the mortar and making it look like new!

We are absolutely thrilled with the excellent service we received. It was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous.

I've had two great and recent experiences with this company. First they repaired a hand wash sink in my commissary that had been installed incorrectly. Then a few weeks later - I had a recurring plumbing issue at my home and the Besel team took care of it promptly and professionally. Crumbling cast iron pipes are dreadful - but Besel made it as painless as it possibly could be.
