Excellent service! Two trucks and a team of four technicians ( name drop time: Heberth Gil, Claudio Munoz, Luis Rodriguez and Justin Gibson ) who showed nothing but professionalism. They had a old worn out system to remove and a new Trane 3-Ton system installed in a day. A bigger more efficient system. I have nothing but good things to say! Time for the semi-annual inspection and evaluation of our AC unit. Our tech Jailene, right at the beginning of our 'service window', which had been arranged a few weeks earlier. After introducing herself and reviewing the process, she began her work, inside and outside. She was very careful to leave everything just as she found it, finished her work within the estimated time frame, explained that her testing showed nothing out of the ordinary, and showed me the filters that were changed out. After a couple of signatures she was off to her next appointment. I am always impressed by the attitude of the Pro-Tech employees. They are always pleasant and communicative. They seem to enjoy their job and that makes me a confident in their work. Always great service with this company.
Joe was awesome. He explained the process for the inspection. He was patient, professional, and he kept the work area clean. He also repaired our showers and they now work better than when the house was new. We are more than pleased with the performance and professionalism of this company.

They were very professional from the scheduling to the service performed (sink back up). They needed approval before doing the work and sent a very detailed invoice to be approved via email. Easy to communicate with.

Trust me I just Paid $19,710.00 for my 2 units and everything went wrong and now My service agreement does not include filters.protechlies@gmail,comUpdate! 7/28/18So one of my unstoppable Trane unit is malfunctioning. I contacted Pro-Tech today for a service call. After about an hour a very nice lady called me back. She told me that due to my review and the continois issues that we (me and Pro-Tech) they were NOT going to service my unit. She indicated that my unit was still warranty and I should contact another dealer. It is there RIGHT to do this, but buyer BEWARE! Now I have a 7 year old at home that is in remission from Cancer (Pro Tech knows this) and my AC does not work, so the house cannot be filtered with the UV filtration system that we paid for abd is needed for his health.CLASS ACT PRO TECH!Please. Call Gary Munson AC. Certified Trane repair. 1 day. Boom .Everything works. It was just a reset of the system.Catch you on the radio this weekend!

Reggie has always helped us out immensely on each visit. He is knowledgable and takes the time to explain the processes and how to do simple things at home to help us maintain our unit.
The technician, Tom, started out by calling me and advising he was going to be earlier than originally anticipated. Contactors normally call to say they will be late, but I was pleased he'd be early. He was polite and respected me and my home. Tom was knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do to fix my AC. He double checked the temperature before he left to ensure it was cooling properly. This company did everything correctly from the start. We will use and recommend them for anything that they can perform. I had a bad experience with another AC company a few weeks prior to calling them, and was quite cautious. The diploma on the wall says that I am an engineer, but I still received an excellent education from John Walker as he explained WHY I should select one unit over another. No high pressure sales at all, just answers to the questions that I asked, and education about the questions I was not smart enough to ask myself. Their pricing was similar to other vendors. But more important, they had all the equipment in stock and could install in a few days as soon as a crew was available.Regarding the installation, Claudio was a perfect gentleman and a craftsman as well. He and his crew arrived on time, cleaned up all debris, and their workmanship was could not be better. The house was cooling down on the same day that they started! The equipment operated as John Walker described. When I asked about better humidity control, John Walker said that my installation should be able to provide what I wanted without any additional equipment, and after an adjustment to the settings, it did exactly as he said it would. No attempt to sell me equipment that I was willing to buy, but did not need.I also should mention Madelyn in the office. She recognized my desire to have someone with technical background explain their equipment to me. She was willing to work with my limited availability and still was able to schedule John Walker as the best match for my questions.After a bad experience with another vendor, I could not be happier with Pro-Tech. The reason that they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau is obvious to me. I suggest that you check the rating of any AC vendor that you consider using, as that alone would have prevented the mistake that I made before calling Pro-Tech.

Jordan arrived on time and the office gave me a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to inform me he was on is way.He was very professional and did a through check up and service on both of our AC units and in a timely manner.I would highly recommend Pro-Tech Air Conditioning and Plumbing.
Moises Pagan came to do standard service on my AC. He was courteous, friendly, and efficient. Checked my system thoroughly, explained things clearly and shared photos of all he had seen and what he had done. An excellent communicator. Pro-Tech always delivers good service. Have been using them for 30 years and they never disappoint.
Had an issue with our water heater. Gerrid was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Explained in detail what was wrong with the broken heater and was able to replace it with a new one the same night. If Gerrid is your Technician, you are in good hands.

Gas connection for range.
Gerrid arrived at the beginning of the given window and was courteous and friendly. He worked efficiently and did both jobs quickly, even though one was a tricky sink re-do. I was very pleased with the service.

Just out to get your money. Told me there was a possible leak but it was probably the size of a pinhole not to worry about getting the test right now to just refill the coolant. The tech said the test isnt really worth getting anyway as it doesn't always tell you where the leak is. He recommended refilling it for now and when it ran out to look into getting a new ac. He filled the ac cost $400 and within two days it was no longer blowing hot. When my husband called Protech to let them know the ac wasnt blowing cool the response he got was that he was told to get the leak test and didn't so there's nothing they can do other than come back and do the leak test for $300 more. It was a lie. We weren't told to get the leak test or we would have. We followed the advice of the professional. Why would he even refill it if he felt there was a leak? It was all about the easy fix and getting our money.

Contacted Pro-tech for a plumbing issue that I was having. The initial telephone experience was outstanding which led to Gerrid H. Who was the technician that came out. Bryce did a stellar job! Installed our laundry sink into new construction and had to cut back pipes! He carried the cabinet and sink fixtures up 3 flights of stairs and finished the job quickly and left no mess! Will definitely use these licensed plumbers again and again! Thank you!

I've been using Pro-Tech these past couple of years for regular maintenance of my AC, and they've always been prompt, professional, and reliable. This past AC service I saw Jailene, who was great. I recommend joining their Comfort Club for regular maintenance. It's worth it just for the peace of mind, but it's also a great value for the perks, like priority appointments in case of emergency and additional discounts on services. I recently called for plumbing as well, and was very satisfied with Joe (the technician) who provided me with a lot of information and frank assessment of what we need.Overall, I'm very satisfied with Pro-Tech Air Conditioning as my A/C and plumbing provider. Glad to have them in my corner in case we need anything!

I just want to say the service was fast , the tech who arrived on time was knowledgable, honest and quick to troubleshoot the issue with our heating unit. Johnathan was polite, personable and took the time to explain the issue the unit was having. He even found problems with the original install that I didn't even realize. He then corrected those additional flaws as well. Pro-Tech is a company I would recommend to anyone as a solid firm to trust fix your home HVAC needs. If all Pro-Tech technicians are as professional as Johnathan, this is the best air conditioning & plumbing company operating in Central Florida. Service is fast, came the same day. But charged $348 for a $20 capacitor. I thought that was a little steep. One would think they would have a reasonable charge so as to get a good repeat customer base. I will be looking elsewhere next time.

Wow, class act service!!!! Ricky came out asap when my elderly neighbor had a plumbing issue due to a roof shingle mishap which inturned turned a simple roofing job into a kiddie pool fiasco. In their outdoor laundry area. I happened to come check on them when this issue had just occurred. I called the company to report what happened and was forwarded this companies information. They showed up in less then 30 minutes. The water had been shut off for the time being until the hole was repaired. Ricky was swift and understanding with my neighbor and most importantly patient! The roofing company had to pay for the fix so $322 does not sound so bad when you just paid them $12,000 to repair the roof shingles. Thanks again Ricky and Pro tech !

100% recommend this company. This company installed new ducts, in the middle of summer mind you, as well as a new AC system. There were a few hiccups along the way but it was completely overshadowed by their amazing customer service, attention to detail and overall delivery on their guarantees . We’re first time homebuyers and have had a lot of work done on this home in the last 5 years with a few companies not meeting expectations. The team they have working for them outshined any company who’s done work on our home. Their on time, respectful, and handle every complaint I had with professionalism and care. Updated review - I was pleasantly surprised that Hector, the owner of pro-Tech called me directly to talk about my previous review. He listened to my concerns, and again, I'll like to reiterate that my dissatisfaction was never about service, Pro-Tech was very responsive and communicated frequently throughout the whole process, very friendly and attentive staff. Karla Ochoa and Nestor Ayala were very pleasant to work with and answered all of my questions.Hector and I talked about the current business challenges related to inflation and the sharp increases of the cost of parts. We were able to agree on what we both thought was a fair amount and moved on.Obviously when I wrote my 1st review was shortly after the repair was completed and I was fired up, anyway, the fact that Hector took the time to reach out says a lot about how he runs his business and that he cares about the reputation of his business in the community.I will certainly consider Pro-Tech for future HVAC needs.

We had a service contract with Pro-tech and both technicians have been very professional. When something went wrong with our unit (blower motor) their pricing isn't even close to being competitive. They quoted $1,555 for a blower motor replacement. The part was under warranty so discounts with our contract etc they wanted $992 for labor. They said it would take 4 hrs. I called another company and they said it would take at most an hr and cost $225. Save your money and use another company.

Super good people friendly and did not ask for my retirement funds to cover the invoice.Marc and Alan were efficient and clean up well after them selves. there was 1 more tech who's name I didn't recall but was an additional help on my project. If my unit runs as well as ProTech worked to install I should be good for a long, long time. John the sales rep was very informative and helpful and did not over sell! The ladies in the office were very nice and considerate.I have listen to their show on WDBO Orlando for a few years in case you want to know how I learned about this company. No it's not thanks Dave it is thanks Tom as you cannot stop a Trane! Ha!

The entire process was painless. From the first call and interaction with the call desk to set up an appointment, to seeing the Trane certified technician ring my doorbell. They were upfront with all costs and answered any questions in a professional yet friendly way. They were on time and very efficient in their ability to isolate the issue right away. The replacement part took a couple of days to get but once it was here, they wasted no time in getting it fixed! Thank you for getting it right the first time unlike other companies that wasted my time and money.

We were impressed with Christopher Ashcraft's professionalism and expertise.Our kitchen sink faucet had a leak and was not working properly.Christopher spotted the leak source immediately and fixed the problem. We discussed the old faucet, which was about 25 years old. We decided that a new one was best and Christopher had an appropriate replacement item on his truck. He patiently answered our questions and did an excellent job with the removal of the old and installation of the new faucet. Our overall experience with Christopher was wonderful and we gladly recommend Pro-Tech and Christopher for anyone who needs plumbing or air conditioning installation and repairs.
Victor arrived exactly when he said he would, performed the service promptly. He made sure I understood the price of the actions he completed during an out brief to me. He was professional and a really good guy.

NICHOLAS GARCIA was the Perfect Person to perform our Comfort Club Preventative Maintenance today! Nicholas is friendly, professional, capable, and wise in the ways of servicing customers in their home! I must admit that I was Not looking forward to another visit by a Service Person (of Any company) and that I Was concerned about the $279 Comfort Club annual cost for 2 service visits. Well, Nicholas made all my concerns disappear! Actually, Nicholas performed this service at least once before with similar positive results, so I should not have worried. They did a great job on the routine maintenance of my a/c unit. A capacitor was somewhat low and they provided me with my options and I opted to have the capacitor changed today. Very convenient. I am sure that with the current heat they are very busy and I appreciate that they were able to fulfill my needs.

Hector fixed our A/C in a prompt, professional manner. He was polite, honest, explained in detail work needed to be done and gave us a fair price for the work he did. We will definitely be using him again and referring him to friends and family in the area.

The experience was completely satisfactory from start to finish. William and Dumarcel installed my unit with extreme caution to my home and all surrounding furniture, carpet and walls. Terrible service, overpriced, did not do job, advised to hire another A/C company for rapier and charged $135.00 :$99.00 service call with additional $35.00 just to put back popped circuit breaker with explanation that it is according their price list. Tried to talk to custom service representative who lied me that there is my signature on invoice. I did not get any invoice from the compony not on paper, not electronic one. I even do not know what they put on this invoice and how they falsified signature. DO NOT HIRE THEM.After conversation with manager they finally charge us only $99.00 service call fees, which should be done on the first place.

How do you think I know that my Latest Bill is $2,000.00?Your Product, at least the one installed at my House is of inferior quality.... PeriodNo PRO-TECH GO SOMEWHERE ELSEThis is not my first Review.In September 2018 we decided to change our whole ac unit, because every year we would spend around $300 to maintain…Only if we knew that was a Bargain…Now every year we have a different problem, and depending on the “wind” its a different problem.Now My hands ate tied, it’s either I pay for a Whole new AC Again with another company or do whatever it is that they want to get my ac unit to work until the next thing.This time is an evaporator coil and $2000 expense under warranty.So if you looking to AC service… Pro Tech is NOT the solution.Funny thing is that when you call them and you on Hold they have a Message promising, “Confidence and Trust”
Nicholas Garcia was the technician from Pro-Tech Air Conditioning & Plumbing Service that performed our annual system maintenance. He was professional and took care with entering our home and going over our equipment and options. I would highly recommend Pro-Tech’s services because of their staff!
My a/c went out pretty quickly Monday afternoon. I called and got an appointment for Tuesday afternoon but they told me if they could get to me sooner they'd let me know. Their man showed up less than 2 hours later and in an hour my a/c was back up and running. I will not hesitate to call them again. Very pleased with the service and politeness and skill of their rep.

Wow. Quality work and worked late and over the weekend to get the job done.
I had Pro Tech install a new central AC system. They were quick to arrive when I called for a quote. Their installers arrived on time the following day and those two guys worked for a solid 12 hours in the blistering heat. They were at my house until 8:30 PM ensuring the job was done perfectly and to my liking. Thank you for staying late and getting my house cool once again!
Alex was the technician who came today. I was given a window between 3-6. He was a few minutes early which is always appreciated and worked quickly in a professional manner.

Ricky did a great job replacing the hose bibs on the side of my house. He minimized stucco repair which was nice. Cheryl (Service Coordinator) was pleasant to work with as well. If your bibs are old and difficult to operate I recommend Pro-Tech

My shower was leaking like crazy and while I tried to fox it myself, things weren't going as expected. I contacted Pro-Tech to fix this problem. The technician arrived on time on 6/19/18. He diagnosed the problem immediately and used the parts I had already bought to repair the shower handle. The technician was polite, kept the house and area clean, and explained even gave me some tricks of the trade in case a similar problem happens again.

Pro Tech services the air conditioning where I work, and I’ve had them come to service the a/c in my personal condo as well. Now that my husband and I just bought our first house, we had them come spruce up the a/c. They are always professional, timely, and thorough (taking pictures of all they see to explain it). I was called to be notified when the tech was on the way. Zack was very professional, knowledgeable and respectful. My leak is fixed and unit is back to normal. They sent a young man Bryce, out the first time he reset my hot water tank, by pushing the reset button. The next day it wasn’t working again so I called them. I was at work but allowed them to enter the house. The office called said it needed to heating elements and the cost would be $400. I reminded her that it was still under warranty. She came back and said it would only be $250.The tech called for payment and the bill was now $350. When I asked he said it needed upper and lower thermostat and upper and lower heating elements. When I called the office to ask what the rates were I was told , They just charge what they charge. She went on to tell me they did me a favor but not charging me for the first visit. When I came home from work they were gone. No evidence of any repair such as old parts, new parts packaging.So it went from resetting a switch to replace and every part on a hot water tank that still under warranty. And the billing was all over the place. But they stuck me up at $350. But it will be the last time.
Moises came by and the Service on my new Trane System. Professional and Respectful. I hope to see him again.

Very bad service. Techician charged $600 for just vacuuming and cleaning which took him less than 20 mins. He didn’t give me guarantees that it will work good and asked me to changed all units.Ac didn’t work good at all. It’s all wasting money for 20 mins of work.I called another technician from different company, he spent almost 6 hrs of work cleaning inside and outside with very less money and now ac works perfect.Don’t trust Pro tech at all, they are not professional. I purchased a new Trane Air conditioner from Pro-Tech 18 months ago I noticed the outside unit would turn on for about 20 seconds then go off but not the inside unit. Since we were due for an annual I called Pro-Tech. The service man came out and found the outside unit was fine but the electric motor inside was dead. He said, don't worry, the motor was still under warranty but I would have to pay labor. Ok, how much could labor be to change out an electric motor mounted on a tray? Mike (servceman) said they would have Trane deliver the motor to my house. In the meantime, he would do another service call in Mt. Dora and be back to install it.. Mike took 1 hr before leaving the house. When he returned he spent 1:15 to install the new motor. He did a great job and was a nice guy. Total labor time at my house was 2:15. How much could that cost since the motor was under warranty. Well, I was in shock. They charged me $661.79 for 2:15 work. I called them back and said this had to be a mistake. No one gets over $300 an hour for labor unless you are a doctor. They said no mistake and they weren't making a dime off me. I told her that if she wasn't make money charging over $300 an hour for labor she would be out of business soon anyway. Never again will I ever do business with this rip off business.
Moises serviced my AC units today, listened to my concerns, addressed all my issues, and was extremely kind and professional to work with.

My expeareance with pro-tech started out vary good. Jason was knowable about the units they offer and could answer any question I asked. When the day came to have my unit installed the installers were supposed to be at my house between 8:00 and 8:30. At 8:30 I call to see why they had not arrived. I was informed they had a class that morning. According to the person I spoke with, classes on Monday mornings are a normal thing. I think I should informed that they were dong o be late. After they arrived I was impressed by how fast they worked. The install just took the a few hour and they cleaned up there mess. The install is 100% better than what I had before and there is noticeable diffreance. If I had just gotten a call about not starting at 8:30 I would have given 5 stars.

Sales lady just keeps talking and talking and not listening to my inquiry. There is a call out fee for diagnosis when I do not need a diagnosis. I need specific items replaced which they will not do without an initial visit and charge. Will not credit fee towards work. Not recommended.

Called this morning because I was trying to replace my shower handle from the old broken one and couldn’t get the cartridge out as it was stuck. Ricky and ProTech were out within a few hours and replaced the hand and got the cartridge out. It was a faulty cartridge so I am glad I called before I did more damage than was already present. ProTech and Ricky did everything they said they would and did it professionally. Will definitely use them again in the future.

We had a brand new unit installed about 4 months ago and the ac has stopped working 4 times. Different techs have came out to drain the unit but it would always get backed up again. Yesterday tech Jaythan came out and went the extra mile to get the unit running again. He was very thorough, he took pictures of what is causing the issue and explained to me what he did to correct it. He double checked the drain before he left to make sure it was working properly before he left. No other tech has went the extra mile like Jaythan did. He deserves a raise and a promotion!

The worst service experience I've ever had in Central Florida. The initial repair wasn't effective. I was promised an emergency response so my octogenarian mother wouldn't be without AC overnight. That technician never showed up. Dispatch kept promising an AC tech was coming but that never happened. A plumber arrived but couldn't make the repair. To his credit, he stayed with us until midnight because he felt bad for mom.A supervisor & a repairman appeared the next day & resolved the problem but it was a day too late.The owner has reached out but I can't engage as I fear my anger & frustration from that night would cause me to be rude.This happened a couple of years ago but each time I hear their advertisements; I am angered.
Everything was perfect. My husband said he loves the way Joel works, nice and clean. And my husband doesn't usually say anything nice about anyone. Great job. Friendly, neat and good worker. Thank you.

Waiting on service is a torture! …. I just want to cry. We bought their new unit less than 3 years ago…. We managed monthly clean up by ourselves… until May 2023 when AC broke down. I called and 5 days later they said it was the thermostat… cost me $600 to replace it. The following month… in the middle of June 2023 AC broke down…again. We pay the $300 “comfort plan” and the visit of $150. But again this month (Friday, July 21, 2023) at 98F insiste my home AC is out…. AGAIN. I called and guess what? No one can come until Wednesday the 26th in the middle of this scrutinizing relentless hot summer and to make this worse, my elderly mom who lives with me can’t even breathe… I cannot afford a hotel stay and I cannot leave my mom alone in a hotel…. Already bought fans for us, but it’s just blowing hot air. I just have to wait in this hot summer days to go by, holding to their “Confort Plan” to really work. I just hope they do come clean and don’t play with people life. (Fingers crossed)..Sunday, July 23: Update —> The heat we experienced yesterday was like never before! Last night… I felt as sleep crying. Woke up reading a text message from Pro-Tech that crew will come in between 3 -5 pm Sunday (today). Its 12 noon and temperature is expected to reach 95F by the time the arrive. I still my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.UPDATESunday, July 23 @ 3:01 PMTechnician just arrived. Like a hero without a cape!. He opened the overflow valve, connect a vacuum outside. Poor 2 gl of water down the drain. I cleaned and changed the 3M air filter and grill (was last changed on the 1st) turned the AC on and cool air began to flow.Apparently, Florida is getting more and more humid beginning last year… than years before, reasons why my unit shot off to prevent floating inside my house.I must add, customers service who answered my call Friday got me worried with a week apart appointment; she was understanding and very nice on the phone.But when I received an update message with an appointment for today… I was happy my mom would get a sleep again (is about dignity in this age of her)…Tech said this is a service they have to do every month as part of the “Comfort Plan” we purchased. I’ll call Monday to schedule my next appointment. Moved rattling from 1 to 5 ⭐️ stars because they did showed up on time, professional. I hope we don’t get to suffer like this again.

Initially, when I first met Ramon I thought he was being honest and transparent with me. And his ability to complete the repair in a short time was amazing.
Great work, arrived on schedule, finished ahead of schedule, new system is working great (and after a great deal of price comparison was found to be competitive with other vendors/providers, perhaps a little higher than average but that could very well be the COVID times since all the worlds supply chains are still jacked up). Had a little bit of a hiccup with troubleshooting a few days of the replacement but Protech worked to resolve the issue and credited us back the trip charge for the first visit. I like companies that recognize when a mistake happens and correct it, it makes me trust them more.

When my Lennox air conditioning system failed, the first company that responded back to my inquiry was Pro-Tech. Several neighbors and my community association had used this company with great satisfaction. For the specifications needed, their quote was the most competitive and they were able to get me on the schedule in very short order. On the installation day, the job ended up taking longer than planned due to some complications, but the technicians stayed as long as they needed to get everything completed. There were some small issues with the installation but they were quickly resolved. Overall I am very pleased with the results.

We recently had our twice a year HVAC service performed. As a result adding two comments.First comment, initial tech came and serviced. Professional as you would expect. However, AC was not working after leaving as the interior temp rose to 80 degrees in the house. Very UNHAPPY. We called and had Ogi come back out later that evening. Apparently a male/female coupler was not put back into place properly causing the the AC not to work. Ogi was here until past 10 pm that evening to ensure all was right, even adding freon that was needed. Ogi is a 5 star tech. So overall, based on the total experience for the day, I can only give a 3. Not sure why the original tech did not replace the connection nor check for freon. In the future, I will always request Ogi for our twice a year service.Pro-Tech, Rob Hynes, is also assisting us with a potential coil leka in a 2.5 year old system by helping to contact Lennox to determine what remediation activities that may be pursued. There is no way that a new A/C system should have leaking coils and Pro-Tech is going out of there way to assist us.While I was completely dis-satisfied with the initial service, the follow up service and support is the value you get from a top notch company and is why we chose them. Initially I rated this a 3*, but due to the follow up received, I am changing my mind
Initially wanted a maintenance visit. The AC unit stopped working before they came, they diagnosed it as an air blower module failure. The unit is 18 years old so no surprises. They wanted to charge $3500 to replace the part, the part is $500 online at any reputable establishment and takes at most 1 hour to replace. I wanted the option of a quote for a complete replacement of the system and was told I would get the quotes via a call in the am. I eventually got a call at around 5pm the next day (Bear in mind they knew I was without air in late May in Florida) saying I had to schedule an appointment with a comfort specialist, managed to get them the next day. The guy turned up and sat in his car for around 30 minutes, came with the quote of $3500 but no quote for the full replacement. Waited another 30 minutes of him in his car and was given quotes ranging from $11000 to $21000 for a 5 ton unit. Throughout this whole experience with a company that is supposed to have been in operation for 60 years, I was left with a lacking experience of miscommunication, poor levels of urgency and charged $130 dollars for the initial visit, the guy was present for all of 15 minutes.After several quotes later I contacted a small, local company, was quoted within the hour and replacement the next day for significantly less money and not charged for the initial visit.

This tech did a good job in properly diagnosis of my ac unit after the first tech. Unfortunately since the first one was here and only partially troubleshot it. Now have to wait for more parts which may take 8weeks.
Excellent representative for your company, David G.was extremely knowledgeable and able to explain fairly complex processes in layman language that was easily understood. He had a portfolio that visually illustrated the re-piping process and samples of the materials to be used.He was polite, patient and respectful and we were very appreciative of his ability to communicate and provide options at this very trying time in our lives.

It's July in Central Florida, my A/C broke a week ago. I had another company come out and they repaired it, but it broke down again in less than 24 hours. They came back and said they needed to get a low pressure switch from Trane. This was a Thursday, I called this company several times on Friday and they were unable to give me an update on the part they said I needed. I got frustrated and called Pro Tech, who came out the following week, I did not need any parts. My A/C works just fine. Apparently when the first repairman tried to flush the line some water leaked out and hours later it tripped the unit off. A lot of unnecessary aggravation by the first company. They had bypassed the switch to give me Air but if the pressure got low it could have froze my compressor, and we all know what that means. I am never monkeying around with any other company. Pro Tech was honest, efficient, knowledgeable, professional, and kind. It took awhile to find a company like this, and it is refreshing to know they still exist. I hope Pro Tech never changes.

Our tankless water heater went on the blitz and Ricky from Protech, plumbing came out. They were on time friendly, courteous, and told us exactly what the problem was. they had to order the part, and when it came in Ricky was back out here to install it. if you need a good plumber, you definitely need to call Protech and ask for Ricky.
I have been without reliable AC now for about 5 days with what I believed was a mis-diagnosed issue with my AC unit. I called Pro-Tech in the hopes that they could get it functioning again. I had a water heater that was leaking from the bottom, so it needed to be replaced. Luckily for me, it was still under warranty. Pro-Tech took care of coordinating with the original manufacturer to obtain a new water heater and only charged me the labor fee for install. Everyone I dealt with was extremely helpful. Both Ana and Cheryl in the office, and Kingsley Brown for the install. It was an all-around pleasant and professional experience.
The Tech was on time and Courteous.

Trane XV20i system installed to replace old HVAC system. Added new return for new system. Unclogged existing condensate drain. Total job took about 13 hours. Made mistake cutting hole for new return which they will fix at no cost. Nice job otherwise.

Pro-Tech is your (IMO) run of the mill HVAC company. They did a service call for me last year ( the show on wdbo sold me) and the tech talked me in to joining their comfort club. The comfort club gives you 2 maintenance calls per year. One for A/C and the other for Heat in the winter.Well I got my first in July for A/C and my next one in June the following year and I had to email them to get it. (so much for the heat check up) The young lady was very courteous and made the appointment.She then proceeded to tell me that they had called in Dec. and left a message and again in MARCH and another message. WOW! Really! So, I guess it was MY fault. The only thing is, If I hadn't paid up front for the service, I'm sure she would have been more persistent...assuming as, sometimes happens, we don't always get our messages.I will say, when the tech showed up for the appt. he did a good job and was very apologetic for the scheduling dept.Needless to say, since they don't really care if my unit stays in tip top shape like they make me believe, I will no longer be a part of their comfort club

Had my AC go out on a Friday evening (Labor day weekend). Called after 5 PM and was able to schedule service for Sunday morning (there weren't any openings on Saturday). They called ahead to let me know they were on their way. They fixed the problem quickly. Very easy to do business with them. I'd recommend them and I used them last year for a similar issue.
I have found Pro-Tech HVAC to be reliable and very responsive to all issues. Living in a place where AC is a must have item, I believe that this is very important.
The techs always are happy to carefully explain what they're doing or what they think the problem might be.And it surprises me how quickly they can get a tech to our house.
The two plumbers were fantastic. They were punctual, courteous and well skilled. Would welcome them to return for more work if needed in the future

Pro-Tech did a great job replacing our ductwork and updating the returns. They cheerfully came back for follow up checking the system and took time to answer my questions and gave good advice for me maintaining the AC.
Mandy at the office walked us through the entire process when our HVAC went down. She is a well trained polite professional. Ogi the technician arrived at our home and began troubleshooting our system and quickly diagnosed several issues. He relayed the information back to Hector the supervisor researching every possibility to assure cost, quality, and scheduling were provided to me instantly. Ogi never stopped over a period of about a week sometimes working into the night. We now have a reliable system once again. We have been with ProTech for many years and recommend that always. That’s again Mandy, Hector, and Ogi.

Jordan was professional and respectful. He performed my maintenance with care for my property and was a true gentleman. He was on time and work was performed quickly and efficiently.
Pro Tech did work for my elderly grandparents. Routine summer tune up and charged them $3,774. When I called to get explanation and a line by line breakdown of the charges they could not provide it to me. I did some research on the parts listed on the invoice and it amounted to $300 in parts at the most, so $3400 in labor charges. They did tell me it was 5 hours of labor with 2 technicians - why there needed to be 2 techs I do not know. According to this they charged $340/hour for each tech. Ridiculous. There is nothing scummier than companies who take advantage of the elderly. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY.

Most recently, I had the pleasure to work with Nicholas who performed the winter check up, and just like every other company employee, he was courteous, efficient, and professional.After being recommended Pro-Tech by a friend that employs the company for all his AC/Heating needs, I found his recommendation to be right on the mark. I am quite pleased with the Trane equipment and installation and have enjoyed energy savings as promised. My summation of Pro-Tech is “They Keep Their Promises”.
Pro-Tech is a class act from beginning to end. I did my due diligence with getting quotes and John, by far, was the most informative and interested in meeting my heating and cooling needs. He explained what needed to be done in order to get my system up-to-code. He also didn't oversell me. The install crew chief, Omar, and his team, did an incredible job. I definitely recommend Pro-Tech to get the job done right.
Gerri was incredibly professional and skilled. The staff at the office worked with us to get us scheduled quickly. Helped us find financing, and made us feel like we were a priority. Everyone in this company is amazing. We are in their AC comfort club, and will only use them for not only our AC needs but all of our plumbing. My sink had been draining slowly with the dishwasher getting backed up. After a few days of clogging I decided to call ProTech. I called for service on a Saturday 9am and was told a technician would arrive between 2-5pm. The technician Gerrid arrived by 1:30PM. He was courteous and professional. Eric knew what he was doing and had to leave the premises to have the part programmed. He finished the job, got the unit running and we once again had air after 5 days of in home heat of 88-93 degrees. Good job .Now, here are my regrets;I still feel the part could have been found sooner. I also feel we should not have had to pay for a major part on a unit still well within the 10 year warranty. We belong to “ Comfort Club” , have been good clients for sometime . We were told by your salesman that Trane is “ Best”. Obviously their parts are not the best !! I guess you might say I’m Thankful the air is running again BUT in the back of my mind am not totally satisfied with this experience!!!( side note - Sandy communicated very well starting 8/7, thru today).

Are air conditioner stopped working and so we called several different vendors. Pro-tech was the first available (the next day) so we booked them. Hector came out an hour ahead of schedule, after he called of course, he was quick, polite and was happy to answer any questions I had about the issues, other questions about my ac in general and payment. I would gladly recommend their services to anyone who asked and I will be using them from now on. I could not have been happier with my service and experience.

Pro-Tech quoted me a $1000 repair fee for a bad control board and transformer. Then they said that they couldn't guarantee that it would get the AC working again due to it's age. They suggested a complete new unit, so I got a quote for that as well ranging from $7 to $10k. I decided to get a 2nd opinion on the repair and found out it was just a blown fuse and a bad breaker, problem solved, AC is running again for under $300. Somehow, Pro-Tech managed to look past the blown fuse (the simple and obvious option) and told me that the control board was bad (it wasn't), and they tried to get a sale for a new unit off of it. Shady AF. Be careful with these guys.

My ac wasn't blowing cold air so I called pro tech around noon and they told me someone would be by the same day, between 2-5pm, Reggie arrived right at 2, which was awesome. He patiently explained everything to me as he was doing it which I appreciated. He fixed the problem promptly and efficiently; an absolute professional. Thanks again!
I was called ahead (~30 minutes) to let me know that Richard was on his way. He showed up and we talked, and he got right to checking out the system. he figured out the problem and got to work right away. Ironically, he determined it was an A/C leak, which they don't fix.Pro-Tech is a little on the pricier side, but they are professional and do good work. Definitely recommend Richard!

I had a tech come out on 9/12/2017 ( Irma) my airconditioner had just stopped working ,my wife was working and I work nights so I was asleep, he was talking to my 19 yr old son. Tech stated that my mother board for my air handler my son paid the $109 service fee and the tech advised that he would call my wife with the price to fix it. $785 was the price. I called for a 2nd opinion come to find out it was a transformer NOT a mother board. Was charged 150 parts and labor. I called to inquire about such a big mistake in diagnosis they stated they would get back to me BTW a mother board is approximately $120. They tried to take advantage of my son and wife, and the fact we just had a hurricane.

This company gave me an estimate for $844.66.I had another licensed provider come and do the repair for $175.00.We do not live in the area the work needed to be done, and I feel they knew we were in a bind, and were going to charge us a ridiculous amount !!!!The other company came right out and took care of it, and were reasonable

I went with Pro-Tech because they were referred by a family member. This was after I had quotes from other companies for roughly 20% less than their quote. Long story short it's 6 months later and I am still trying to get a hose bib replaced that the city inspector agrees should have been done on my initial re-plum. Additionally they had to come out twice after the work was done. Once to insulate a exterior pipe that was left bare and once to clean up from the drywall repair person who left spackle all over my pedal stink and floor.

Requested a tech to come out and repair fresh water line to water heater figuring about $200.00, said they needed to do an estimate. So they come back with a $1500.00 dollar repair, I was like to fix a fitting. Said they needed to remove my water take, tear into my wall to replace the entire line and re-install the water heater. How in the heck does repairing a fitting turn into a major project. Tried to run me over the coals. People beware, I found a licensed plumber that came out and in 45 mins he was done and only costed me $180.00 with hospital grade fittings, That's with a Tip.....
I had a new heat pump installation performed this week. We had special requirements that everyone wear masks during the install since we are in the middle of a covid spike & we have two vulnerable people living in the home. Without hesitation they wore N95 masks during the entire install. Secondly, they where absolute professionals with the install, making sure everything was done right. They even went above and beyond to repair things that needed it.Lastly, I know prices everywhere have gone up recently, but I feel that they provided a good value for the product and services that were offered. They aren't the cheapest, but aren't the most expensive either. What you get though, is great service and a great crew that knows what they are doing.I HIGHLY recommend Pro-Tech for new Heat Pump installations.

Austin and Bryce did an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G job repiping our home. They went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate us by not cutting into areas we preferred they didn't (such as through decorative borders and the tile in our newer bathroom. The bathrooms were back-to-back, so they were able to cut through the older bathroom to run the pipes to the newer one). These young men are hard workers, know their stuff, and are pleasant and comical. They made what we dreaded a pleasant experience. We would recommend Pro-Tech to anyone who wants things done professionally. True, we paid a little more than other companies, but we got the quality of what we paid for. (We've heard horror stories from others who didn't go the route we did.) Oh, and the office staff are wonderful. It was just a great experience all the way around.

The tech was great! But the company itself are hustlers. They take advantage of people in need of Ac. This was supposed to be a maintenance visit and it turned out to cost me with my membership discount a whopping $367! For a piece that cost $15 on Amazon. I understand they need to get paid but the price is way overpriced! I been very patient with them since they installed my ac unit 2019 been nothing but problems. The piece they replaced supposedly last 20 years it last me 3yrs. I will be looking for another company!

Kerry Polingo was so thorough in his inspection of our A/C unit. He spent over two hours investigating and writing down every little detail and crawling through the attic to find out why only half of our house was being cooled while the rest was warmer and humid. He shared very helpful knowledge and education with us and believes he may have figured out the problem. He shared his card so we could follow up if needed. Most home owners have small dogs that either have to be put up or just won't stop barking.I have one of those dogs and she didn't bark and go crazy I was very surprised .I guess all I can say is job well done
2023 - Very disappointed. After 20 years, we needed a new water heater. We called Pro-Tech because they have been reasonable in the past, especially on HVAC. However, the tech came without a text or email notice, then argued about what we needed and a couple other things. I finally said I wanted the estimates in writing so I could compare quotes from other companies and he acted like I was a crazy customer. They sent 3 quote options - with NO pricing! I asked for the pricing and by the time we got the pricing ($2200-$4500!!!) we already had an installer from Home Depot installing what they had quoted $4500 for $1900! Not likely to ever go back.2019 ProTech does a good job responding to service requests. We have their semi-annual service and it saves us money every year.
I called them at 1am. I felt bad that I had to call and a sweet lady answered. We set the next available tech at 5 pm the next day.Thanks Jean. You fixed the problem. You wanted to explain the problem to me. And you sent me documentation of the problem. I appreciated you explaining and backtracking what the system was doing and running. My family is very happy today!

I've used Pro-Tech for system maintenance which has been great so far. However, when my 2020 Trane's compressor died in the middle of the Florida heat they really stepped out. With no spare compressors in stock anywhere and having to build from scratch waiting time was going to be between 6 to 8 weeks at one point, however office Manager Lorenzo stepped up and found an excellent solution and had me back chillin' within a week. Am super grateful for their professional communication and solution based thinking! definitely recommend

My daughter had just bought a home in Orlando in June and they were flooded in Hurricane Ian. She lost her car and the motor went out on her unit and a new duct was needed. Omar Santini and his helper did an excellent job yesterday of installing the Mitsubishi mini-split auxiliary AC in our master bedroom. They were friendly, courteous, professional, and clearly are experts at what they do. A high quality product installed by a high quality team! I had a really tough issue with my tankless water heater. I had other plumbing service companies (two of them) come out but they bailed after simple remedies didn’t work. John S. June 2019 - We came home from vacation two wks ago & our house was 90° & our compressor wasn't running. We belong to Pro-Tech Comfort Club & called immediately. A tech (Hector) was at our home within 2 hrs. Our 13 yr old compressor was dead so we chose to replace our entire AC unit. We met w/Tom, Pro-Tech CEO the following morning to discuss unit & price. After a great meeting w/Tom & choosing our unit, shortly after leaving Lorenzo came to measure & check our ductwork to confirm all was good. The next morning @ 8 a.m. two installers arrived to complete the job. Ruben & Heberth did an excellent job installing & completed the job in less time than expected. They were respectful of our home, put plastic down to protect the floors--vacuumed & cleaned everything before leaving. Pro-Tech's Install Supervisor, Michael, came by afterwards to make sure we were happy & all was well. A checklist was given to us in advance to show all work to be done. Everything on the checklist was completed to perfection. Their customer service was amazing-- they went above & beyond! We have been a Pro-Tech customer for 20 years & will continue to be for many more. Every employee we came in contact with indicated what a great company Pro-Tech is to work for - and that speaks volumes. All of the ladies in the office were so nice, helpful, & so good at what they do. They made it an enjoyable process from beginning to end, especially Lori & Mandolyn. I sent a message last night and first thing this morning, I receive a call from a friendly rep who was able to help me get a quote and timeframe without anyone needing to actually come out yet. I took a picture and sent it to them, where they were able to give me a quote. Not only that, but they had someone who would be able to come out on the same day! Dylan was very friendly and professional. He was basically done in about 5-10 minutes. I've used this company before regarding other issues, so I didn't feel the need to get other quotes. Perhaps it costs less somewhere else, but I'd rather pay more to a good company who will be there in the future when things sadly go wrong.

Update: protech did reach out and offer to fix the “problem” for free which was nice however I was frustrated that they said there wasn’t anything they could do but I write one google review and all the sudden they can fix it? I haven’t heard in a week from them and we decided to have a second company come to check the unit. Turns out we didn’t need a new coil at all and we just had a small pin hole leak in a different part of the unit. The leak was also able the be fixed same day without replacing anything. Seems like protech needs to seriously take a look at their techs training.I hate to be that girly but I’m gonna be that girly. I bought my house last May and I had to put an AC unit in because it did not have one. I used Protech and I’m going to be honest it was not cheap, it was around 10,000$ but I sucked it up and paid it because Protech promised they had a 10 year warranty and I wasn’t getting any cheaper pricing with other companies in the area. Well it stopped working in June (yeah a year old unit broke) and protech wants over 2,000$ for the labor to come out and fix the problem that their tech fully admitted was probably caused when they put it in. So if you need any AC replacements or repairs in Florida do not use protech they will overcharge you and undercut you at any possible chance they get.

Seemed like a great company when discussing the work that needed to be performed. Did the work in not so timely manner which I can get passed. But when you have a warranty issue, they turn into someone you really don't want to have to deal with and I felt compelled to write a review. The ole polite with a ton of sarcasm like you would get from a DMV worker and just nasty in tone. I don't deserve that, nobody does. It was not just one employee but multiple people which leads me to believe this is the culture of business for this company. If things go their way they seem like your friend but have an issue then be prepared to have to deal with that kind of attitude. I personally will not be dealing with them anymore, too many other companies out there. Hope this helps someone!

Today's experience was satisfactory, the technician, Mr. Nestor Ayala, was very professional, attentive and explained to me in detail the necessary changes to repair my A/C. I appreciate his time and dedication in repairing my A / C
Hector showed up on time and provided friendly and quick service. We love our AC that they installed back in March-We are currently saving OVER $200 per month on our electrical bill.... These guys are true professionals. I got three estimates to replace the heat pump in my home. Pro-Tec was right in the middle. Not only did they offer more, but the system they use is rated much higher than the other two companies use. Check with other companies, common unit and problem but took more hours than industry average and their markup on parts and freon is high. Total repair was about 35% above average. Again get other quotes.

Wonderful service. Very much on top of things. Rikky Mercado was nice and professional. Him and his partner to the job were polite, explained everything In details, showed up on time and made sure to clean after. Also, took their time to prep the room to minimize spread of dirt. They also will provide the other professionals in order to leave the Repear not just fixed but also looking good. For example- they had to break wall to get to the pipes, so they provided the dry wall service and it all included in the price. I would use them again any time. Highly recommend.
The great service we received from the installer, Omar, prompted us to write this review. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and worked til nearly 11p (after starting at 8a) to finish installing our new AC. He made sure the job was done right and didn’t cut corners, even after his assistants left in the afternoon. He is true asset to the Pro Tech company.
While they have had to order the part, the technician was friendly and no nonsense. He sent me the pictures of went wrong. He also didn’t talk to me like I was an idiot. So thank you!

We needed 2 AC units replaced. The ProTech salesperson explained our options and didn't oversell us. The technicians installing the units were on time, kept the work areas clean and organized, answered all of our questions and were very professional. They stayed 12 hours for two separate days to completely install and test the units before leaving. They left the work areas cleaner than when they arrived, lol.I didn't get competitive quotes, but I'm fairly sure ProTech was competitive in price and did everything they could to ensure the job was done on time and done right. We're very happy with the results.

Just over a year ago, ProTech replaced my old HVAC system with a continuously variable unit. The system was installed so well that even competitors who've come to try to sell me maintenance services or do related work for me have been amazed at the quality of the installation.After the installation, the Protech team came back to tweak the circulation to two bedrooms at the opposite end of the system. They presented me with several options and clearly demonstrated the merit of each. After they performed the ductwork improvements, those two rooms were very cost-effectively and painlessly made more comfortable.At each stage of the installation, and each bi-annual HVAC service visit, ProTech in-house staff have been very responsive, efficient, extremely helpful and cordial. During each field contact, technical staffers have been careful and considerate of my time and my home (they ALWAYS wear shoe covers while working in the house, just for one example of their attention to every detail).Technicians are also very pro-active in teaching me what is going on with and what is being done to my system.They are also more than happy to show me all the small and large things that I can do to take care of my system in between their service visits.Everyone at the company is consistently very happy to answer any question I may have and respond to any need that I express about any part of the system.Today, technician Velrick was completely comfortable with my looking over his shoulder at every step of the maintenance process. He explained each component as he tested and adjusted where needed.The caliber of this whole company is superlative! Each contact is an education and a pleasure.Each individual is outstanding in their work and in their attitude about customer service. They never have made me wait, they never have made me spend money that did not pay back very quickly in operational cost reduction, and the quality of every bit of their work has always been exceptional!If each other type of contractor and service person I dealt with was half as good as the folks at Pro-Tech, my life and my property would be much better off. Absolutely terrible experience, will never use them and do not recommend at all. They hooked up the drain line to the old refrigerant line after there was a new AC unit installed causing a big leak behind our walls and custom molding causing $$$ thousands of dollars in water damage. The previous owners of our house hired Pro-Tech and now we’re trying to fix the problem. When we called to get fixed they tried charging us full price and didn’t budge on pricing Vs. fixing and making things right. We’ve had other reputable AC companies out to look at the piping and lines and these companies said it should have never been done that way. We’re so upset they won’t make it right. Now we’re out thousands of dollars to do repairs for their poor workmanship. Just awful!
Its about time I found a company that knows what they are doing. Another AC company in Orlando quit doing residential who I had bought my unit from 3 years ago. No warning at all, just quit doing it. Which was a blessing in disguise because the other company didn't do anything right, and were not trustworthy. ProTech went into action the same day I called. I really liked how they recorded everything and sent it all on the invoice copy thru an email. Like I said. Its about time!!!! I highly recommend them.

Charlie recently installed a new Navien Tankless Water Heater for my home. Our old water heater kept giving us issues, and we were over it. Charlie was timely, respectful, friendly, and very professional. He was well informed about the Navien water heater, and answered all of my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Pro-Tech Air Conditioning and Plumbing. Their service was exceptional. I now have a reliable AC and plumbing company that I can call whenever I have a problem.

I needed to find a leak in my house and didn't know who to call, so I went to google and started my search. Pro-Tech sounded good to me, gave them a call. I spoke to Lynn and she was very professional and friendly, answered all my questions and said they could have a tech out the next day. I received a phone call about 15 minutes before Barry arrived. He was extremely professional and friendly. He found my leak and then repaired it which required him to crawl under the house. He let me know every step of the way what he was doing and when he was done explained everything to me. I definitely will be a customer of Pro-Tech whenever I need any plumbing done.

I just had to share, I recently had my AC go out, I had Ogi the technician from Pro-tech come to my home same day and get me up and running. We found out we would need to order a part for the heater, the part was ordered and installed in a timely manner, working, and cost friendly! Ogi has great knowledge, so Professional, and was very thorough. He even wore Foot Booties in my house, I recently had another Company out for different service and they did not , so Thank you!! I was given Pro Tech Air's information since I have my current AC warranty through Trane and they were a certified Trane professional. The front office was very nice and based on the reviews, I thought I was going to have a great experience. They send a tech out to inspect why my AC was making a loud noise and the Tech diagnosed that I needed a new AC compressor, expansion valve and about 5 pounds of Freon added in. The total quote was around $3,345, with my AC warranty, it came to around $2564. We signed up for the membership plan and paid $299 for the year that included 2 diagnostic visits but if we signed up that same day, they would include that service visit included in the membership leaving me with just one visit for the year instead of me paying $119 for a regular service visit. We paid the $299 which also included a 15% off discount, so the total cost of my service repair for the compressor, expansion valve and freon would now be a NEW TOTAL OF $2,202. That is still alot of money and I went to social media to ask if that seemed like a reasonable price to which the majority of them stated NO, that is way too much money. I then got a second opinion with another AC company who came out and gave me a free diagnosis. The new tech stated I DID NOT NEED A NEW COMPRESSOR AT ALL, and all I needed was the expansion valve. They also went through my warranty company, and total cost with labor was around $400. THAT SAVED ME AROUND $1800 THAT I DID NOT NEED! Very disappointed I felt I was being taken for granted and hustled. Then, when I asked them to reimburse me for the $299 membership fee and just take out the $119 service fee, I was expecting a refund of about $180, but was only given a refund of $149. When I called and asked them why, they stated $150 +$150= $300 so that's why they only reimbursed me $149 and not $180, even if I explained to her a office visit is $119. She stated that's not how they calculate it for the membership plan. I said ok fine, but what does that include? She stated they clean the AC ducts, drain the lines, etc etc etc, and also give a new air filter. I explained to her we did not get an AC filter nor was anything drained or cleaned, he diagnosed a problem only. She stated I should have gotten an air filter and would get back to me but that was last week and it's already Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 and I have not heard back from anyone. I do not care about the air filter but it's just the principle. I would not trust this company or recommend anyone here. Again, $1,800 is a lot of money that I would have wasted for no reason so I will urge anyone to GET A SECOND OPINION.
My Tech (Rey) was very informative and even gave me a few tips for maintenance on my A/C. Rey was very efficient and did everything he said he was going to do. Absolutely no hidden cost as the communication with Rey and his office was spot on.

These folks aren't the cheapest in town, but they're are absolutely fantastic. We had 4 different companies come out that didn't come close to Pro-Tech. We love the service, and our A/C is spectacular. If you're in a position to where you have to go through the pain of buying a new A/C unit, I strongly suggest Pro-Tech.
