Mike was Amazing!! Not only did he come to our rescue when our breaker went out, on a weekend, he replaced the whole electrical panel at a price that was way cheaper than any of the competitors! With everything going on right now with the economy and inflation you can NOT find that. He was pleasant, professional, and courteous in a way that I did not feel like I was talking to an electrician, but someone I had known for years. He kept me updated every step of the process and managed to complete the job in 3 hours. Much faster than what some name - brand companies could do. Sometimes you can't please everyone, but Mike even went the extra mile to tighten our junction box so that water would not get into it. Something other companies would charge $100 just to do in 5 minutes. I would give him six stars if I could!

Mr. Michael deserves to have people know about the excellent quality of service he provided us. Mr. Michael was our technician and from the moment after speaking with him he had shown us great positive energy. He took the time to ask questions thoroughly to understand what the problem was. He was knowledgeable, on time, professional and down to earth. He gave us honest and reasonable estimates. He did an excellent job with the repairing the circuit breaker panel we needed to get fixed . His service was exceptional as he was aware of what needed to be done right away and went to work right away . He did it in timely manner. I would definitely refer him if you need this work done as he is a great electrician and knows his stuff !

I called Michael after the Tropical Storm Nicole came through and flooded our electrical that hooks up to our septic system. He responded within an hr. Told us a date and time he could come out. He came out had to do some rewiring as well as change an electrical receptacle but did it quickly and efficiently. He was super nice and friendly, definitely quality work with quality prices.

Michael came right out after my call. He was very professional, with an outstanding personality to make you feel comfortable about what he was doing. He was first class and upon leaving he made sure that the area he worked in was nice and clean.

Mike to the rescue! Referred by another investor friend, Mike quickly came out on a Saturday to resolve a permitted electrical issue left behind by another electrician. He worked all day till it was resolved for the tenants. He was quick to reply, professional, courteous, and reasonable for the amount of clean up work he had to do in the attic, panel, and meter box. I loved that he took pics to document and shared all his findings and repairs. Highly recommend. He’s your go to electrician!

I called Mike after returning home from dinner and finding my living room ceiling fan hanging by a couple of wires from my vaulted ceiling in my new home. I prayed that the service would be affordable as the phone rang. Mike picked up almost immediately even though it was after hours. He quoted me an affordable price and said he could arrive within the hour. He communicated his ETA with me until he arrived and kept me calm. He was very friendly and I felt at ease while he worked. He was the best contractor I have worked with since I purchased my new home and I will continue to call him for any additional electrical needs as they arise. Thank you, Mike for being a knight in shining armor! Your prompt and efficient service allowed me and my family to sleep without worry.

I found Jax Electric LLC on Google and gave them a call. Mike answered, I gave him a quick review of what was going on and on in one of my properties. Mike came out within the next hour and not only fixed my partial power outage but he also fixed my hvac issues as well. Now I don’t have to cook in the dark and can come home to a cool house after work. Very affordable and I highly recommend these guys any day!

EDIT 2: As of today, the technician contacted me and scheduled a time to complete the job today. He showed up and completed the job to my satisfaction. Therefore, I'm amending my review again, to 4 stars.

EDIT: Unfortunately I must edit my 5 star review to a 3 star review. While I was initially quite satisfied with the job done by Jax Electric, I was promised a return to finish the job that as of this writing, has not been honored. At the time of the initial job, I did not have the correct type of switches needed. The technician promised a return to finish that portion of the job for free, even though I offered to pay for his return. I contacted him stating that I was ready and had the supplies needed, to which he scheduled me. He did not show. I texted again, to which he informed me that he had me down for a different day. He did not show on that day either. I inquired again, and we rescheduled again. He informed me that there was a family emergency and had to cancel. He never contacted me to reschedule until I contacted him asking when he'd be able to finish the job. We rescheduled for today, and as of this writing, he has not shown nor contacted me. For this reason, I feel I have no choice but to revise my review. My original review is below.

Hired to diagnose a shorted light switch and installation of several other smart switches. Technician was very knowledgeable and helpful, and offered suggestions about what types of switches I needed. Price was fair. Definitely would use this service again.

wonderful service! Michael was very courteous and efficient, and there were no issues. he was on time and very professional. he was very helpful and answered a lot of my questions. i had an electrician come out and take a look at my fuse box before Michael, and that guy said it was fine (which was not true). Michael came and fixed it, and also fixed a few other issues. i need more work done soon and i will definitely be calling Michael!

If your looking for an Electrician who not only does Great Work, has great pricing, cleans the mess and friendly than Micheal is your guy. He replaced all my outlets and also let me know my options for a few other things I really need to change. Also did work for my parents and will be back to do more!!!

Mike did a fantastic job updating my wiring and installing my ceiling fan. He was on time, prompt, courteous, and professional. I will use him for any electrical issues or upgrades for now on.

If you are look for someone who can help you with any Electrical Work that you may need, I highly recommend you giving Michael a call. He fixed the electricity issue that I was experiencing with my floor lamp and saved me the headache of having to buy a brand new floor lamp, when the floor lamp I have is not even 2 years. Mike recused us in the middle of a bathroom renovation and came quickly to quote us and went to work the next day moving our switch and outlet. He did a fantastic job and was reasonably priced too. We’ll definitely be using him again for any future electrical work.

Micheal did a great job! Found the issue quickly and handled it in no time. SUPER great price, fantastic attitude, courteous, and cleaned up when the job was done. We will definitely be contacting again for any other electrical needs!

Told me he would stop by between 4-5 pm, when I called after 5 pm he said he would stop by at 9am following day, guess what, No call, no show two days in a row.
Update: Lesson learned on my part, never react in haste, we don’t know what is happening in a person’s life. Michael texted and apologized for not responding came by and troubleshot my problem, hope to have it fixed by Monday.

Hired Mike a few times now, once for a bigger 200amp service upgrade and also for a couple smaller jobs and I'll be trying my best to only use him in the future. He is extremely knowledgeable and works fast and efficiently. Mike has saved me thousands of dollars by walking me through things so I could do it myself and also gas gave me discounts for working along side him. Times are crazy right now and its hard to find quality work that doesn't empty your bank account so Mike is a rare find! Highly recommend him.

We had to rewire our 1970s house from aluminum wiring for the sell of our home. We called Michael on a Tuesday, he came out to inspect same day, and then got started on the work on Friday. Very responsive and great quality work. We really appreciate his expertise, response time, and quality work so we can move onto the sell of our home. Thanks Michael!

Called Mike on a Friday after hours after our wires were sparking while trying to change a light fixture. I was able to send Mike pictures and he walked me through my issue… all while HE was on vacation! Now I can go to sleep knowing I won’t burn my house down. Thank you Mike!!

Mike added a 30 AMP circuit for me. No issue with the plug. However, he had to cut 2 holes in garage wall. First hole he could not snake line through. No problem. Second hole worked fine. He said he would come back and patch first hole. I asked him to do some other work when he came back and we agreed upon price and time.
First appt he canceled, claims he forgot Doctors appt.
2nd Appt, canceled, claims he was stuck on other job.
3rd and final Appt, canceled, claims his partner pulled permits and his license was suspended. Funny this about this excuse, I know someone else who laughed and said he used same excuse on them.

Thus, no follow-up to fix hole or perform new work. Not reliable. He seems to have some issues.

Mike was unbelievable accommodating he came in over the weekend and replaced panel for me in an emergency situation was reasonably priced will definitely use it.

Michael did an outstanding job! He upgraded the electrical panel & installed an electric tankless water heater. He arrived & completed the work quickly, and ended up charging me significantly less than was originally quoted. Will definitely use his service again!

Jax Electric was amazing for my simple job. Most companies don’t want to bother with a quick service call. Mike installed a much needed outdoor plug. His estimate was fair and in line with other estimates. He was prompt and completed the job with no issues. As a female he treated me with respect and didn’t take me for granted. Michael is great! He came all the way to Orange Park the same day I called and fixed the light in my home which went out. I had my sons birthday party the next day and it was done in time! He was also reasonable price!!

Michael Thurston, owner and master electrician of JaxElectric, has consistently met and exceeded our expectations in doing a variety of electrical projects for our mid-1960's home. His work has included (1) the installation of rope light in crown molding in three of our rooms (see picture 1); the installation of recessed lighting in three areas of the home (see picture 2); and most recently the installation of the 240 volt capability with a NEMA plug for an infrared sauna in our Florida Room (see pictures 3 and 4). And, we have already scheduled Michael to install an external hookup for our new gasoline engine generator ... which we hope we seldom have to use in Florida's hurricane weather.

Contacted Mr Thurston last summer. Problem with our a/c which ended up being electrical. He was able to show up and fix the problem within 1 hour of my phone call to him. He was reliable professional and very reasonable. Osteens pharmacy has and will continue to use him.
