If you are going to have a plumbing problem, what time better than a Friday afternoon! We had out of town company this weekend and just before we had to go to a family event I discovered that we had a backed up drain which was causing our toilet to not flush and overflow. We had never needed a plumber so my wife set out on the internet and found Garrett Plumbing and saw the outstanding reviews. She called Garrett and explained our problem and they gave us a commitment that they would be out that day even though we were heading into the evening. They arrived as promised and our technician Ed went right to work diagnosing the layout of our drainage system and his plan of attack. Ed took to the roof to run his snake machine through the pipe stack. Ed's colleague Carlton arrived on the scene and with the two working together had our drain unclogged and flowing in a little over an hour.

I was very impressed with Garrett Plumbing's responsiveness, professionalism, and courtesy. We have definitely found our plumber and will be giving them a ring for any future needs! Highly recommended.

I was actually referred to Garretts Plumbing by a couple people because of their expertise. Now let me tell you that people rarely take the time to leave reviews unless something goes wrong so take what the previous person said with a grain of salt. I read reviews constantly if I'm shopping for a product or using a service; in this day and age you pretty much have to. I've gone there three times for just a few cheap parts so take what I'm about to say for what it is, which is stellar customer service. I'm not a contractor so I'm not spending a lot of money, so their motivation to please is genuine.

I was working on a leaky kitchen faucet a few blocks down from the store and it was just kickin my @##. I invested close to 6 hours trying to get that dang leak to stop. I'm a handyman so I'm pretty good at fixing things but with this, I met my match. The owner, Larry, was so willing to help me solve the problem while I was in the store. We tried replacing the cartridge ($20) and the seals (he gave me for free). Went back and went to work to no avail. If I coulda thrown the thing out the window I woulda. I called at about 4:50 to try to speak to Larry but he wasn't available so I asked the gentleman on the phone if he had any techs that might be able to help me troubleshoot the problem and he referred me to Terry, the service manager (Not a technician). I spoke to Terry and told him my dilemma and he asked me where the property was and I told him and he said he'll right there. This 60+ year old man hopped in his truck and buzzed down to help. He got there, worked on it for about 30 minutes and couldn't get the leak to stop so he went back to the store to grab another part. He came back and worked on it for another 10 minutes. No luck. He then called Larry (the owner) and explained the situation and Larry came by too and together, after about 30 more minutes of working on that #$%#%$, they got it fixed. Thinking surely I was gonna get raked for needing two people to fix it, I asked what the damage was and Larry said Don't worry about it. Huhhhh. I didn't think I heard him correctly. They refused to take any money. Terry lives more than an hour away and Larry came by to help after business hours and didn't even charge me for nearly an hours worth of work. If you find any company that would do that, you better not lose their number.

I will continue to use them and I will refer people to them because they went above and beyond when there was not motivation to. Amazingly friendly guys and very knowledgeable.

Please remember to post reviews about all companies you come in contact with but be weary about fake reviews as well. There are companies out there that other companies hire to leave fake reviews so if it sounds really generic, its probably fake. In this new era we're in, content and online reputation is everything so do your part to let people know.

Outstanding service and a clean polite experience. Price was competitive and I would highly recommend Garrett Plumbing. Just a great company that really cares..and has “magic” methods to do things I would t have a clue about! Call them!

Had two issues and Garrett did change out a wax ring for a toilet as needed. Possibly an intermittent venting issue and all that was done was dishwasher waste pipe routing. Issue was not occurring during service call. This place stinks once or twice a day to high heaven. Called twice to discuss stinking venting issue and service manager never returned call. I just wanted to describe issue again and to discuss possibilities. Already flushed vent pipes from roof and no obstructions. --- Just FYI customer is elderly relative. I did call twice requesting call back and noted customer name and address and left my name and phone number. Perhaps the message never got to appropriate person. I will reach out to Omni Eye.

The best plumber on the beaches. They know what they are doing. If you live on the beach, you'll need a good plumber.

I had to have my entire house re-piped as I had a water leak under the foundation for the third time. Several companies were recommended but most plumbers who came out thought the job was too big or too complicated for their company. I chose Garrett Plumbing after finally getting three bids. Gary did an excellent job explaining how the work would be completed. He stopped by several times throughout the two weeks to check progress and answer questions. I couldn't have been happier with Sanford and Doug, the two plumbers who did the work. They arrived on time every morning and worked diligently throughout each day. They were courteous, professional and a pleasure to deal with. Carlton worked one day and he was also an excellent worker. I would be happy to recommend Garrett Plumbing for any plumbing need, large or small.

I broke two pipes under my tub. Mike showed up within 2 hours and was awesome! Very professional, very clean, knew exactly what he was doing, and got it fixed right the first time. Very reasonable pricing...and as the slogan says I would totally trust Mike with a key to my house. I'll be sticking with these guys for any plumbing needs I have, you should do the same!

This company came out to repair my leaky faucet. After an hour or so, the man left, but the faucet was leaking even worse from a different location. They came back another day and replaced the faucet with a cheap model. The man couldn't get the faucet to quit dripping and took hours trying to fix it. Finally he left, but the faucet still drips. Garrett said they would come back for free (of course) and fix it. I haven't had them do it because of the mess and hours wasted in my house. I have pots and pans under my sink and since I am elderly, I had trouble getting everything back together. Now today I pulled out a 9x12 pan to do some baking and it was full of water which spilled all over. I threw a towel in there to mop it up, but since my knees are bad I cannot get down there to clean it all up. I put another pan in that spot and sure enough, water is dripping from somewhere - the new faucet, I believe. I want my money back so I can get another plumber in here to do the job right.

I have an elderly neighbor who is going blind and during tropical storm Colin we figured out that her sump pump was not working. A long story short she had been taken advantage of by another company and had two sump pumps installed within three years that were not working correctly.
I spoke with Larry and explained the ordeal, after a little trouble shooting and some measurements, he had one of his technicians out within a few hours. They figured out that pump was not installed correctly and she didn't need a new one, a quick fix and everything went smoothly. This is not a company that will take advantage, they did a great job, friendly, professional, and I will use them myself!

I had four plumbing issues that needed attention and Carlton Hughes attended to them. What a joy watching him work and talking with him. He is very thorough and explained the problems. I had purchased a replacement kitchen faucet and Carlton had me call Moen. Without a receipt or a model number of my ‘broken’ faucet, Moen is sending replacement parts and that saved me the cost of a new one. Carlton cleans up any mess where he’s working. His awesome attitude made my experience with him and the company he represents an enjoyable transaction!
After the repair parts for the faucet arrived a plumber was scheduled. Unfortunately the faucet could not be repaired so Garrett’s GM Larry B. brought in another faucet. I wasn’t happy with the new one but I chose to have it installed rather than having a sink without a faucet. After a few days I knew the new faucet did not reach far enough into my sink as my back was strained while doing dishes. I called Larry and told him I wasn’t happy. He understood my problem and started searching. After a week of searching with Moen to no avail, Larry found my discontinued faucet on eBay. I am very appreciative of the “extra effort” given to fix the situation. Garrett Plumbing rocks!!!

My sister and I was very satisfied with the work of Garrett Plumbing. I have to mention that they were late big time on appointment.
Had they been on time I'd give the 5 star. The serviceman was phenomenal. He explained every step on solving the problem and completed it in a timely manner. Problem exsist again, we'll ask for him next time.

When you have a plumbing problem, call Garrett and it's over. Everyone I've dealt with there has been wonderful, but special kudos to Carlton--professional, fast, and keeps you informed of what's going on!

From getting a prompt quote through Gary, to the actual work performed by Carlton, the entire experience was exceptional. My water heater rusted out and started spraying water all over my kitchen at 2:30 am. Gary promptly responded to my call that morning and assured me they could handle the job even though my water heater was in an almost impossible location… Very difficult to get to. Carlton came over to do the repair. He was amazing. First had to pump out all the old water that remained in the tank leaving the sediment which made the unit extremely heavy. To remove it from my home, he used his ingenuity by taking off the handle of my sliding glass door so it would create a space wide enough to take the old water heater out. He spent many hours, working very hard, and leaving me with a perfectly wonderful new water heater and a perfectly clean house. He was very polite and professional and I would highly recommend Garrett Plumbing. Very satisfied and will definitely use them again should I need future plumbing work. Garrett was sent to fix my shower and tub by the people I rent from. Called on Monday and they came out Monday afternoon for backing up tub and broken shower. They sent Dave who fixed my shower which has been broken for years. Thanks Dave. I highly recommend this business.

After Larry rendered both toilets useless he explained he isn't a plumber since 7/15//20 asked for repair of damages only sarcastic assinine jokes hang ups and minutes waiting for help

Trying to get an estimate for a new construction project. Can't get a return call. have been told by the dispatch person maybe you want to move on with someone else. This is a Madeira Beach project and they don't want the job??? Really!

Chuck from Garret Plumbing showed up at the front end of the recommended time. After a brief conversation, he had three solutions and began working on one. He never brought in tools that weren't needed / used and cleaned up when completed. The work was solid, fast, and professional. When I need a plumber, I'm calling Garret.

My family and I have been using them for them for over 30 years. They are worth waiting for and do the job right the first time.

I recently called Garrett about a sewer line issue at a rental house I own. Garrett has a good reputation although I had not used them. When you call you actually get an answering service. I got a call back from Garrett and we both agreed that the job required an estimate. They said that Gary would be calling me back that day. The next day I called and they told me that Gary was out of the office. Two days after my initial call Gary called me and left a message. Within 30 minutes I called him back but was told that he was out of the office. Gary left another message saying that the best time to call him was the afternoon and was told to leave a message. I explained that we had been playing phone tag throughout the day so that person said they would find Gary and to stay on the line. I then got someone in the office that told me I had been speaking with their answering service. This was at 2:00 pm on a Thursday. That person then told me that they were very busy and could not get to me for weeks anyway. I called another plumbing business that took care of the problem the next day. Very confusing to do business with Garrett. I cannot comment on how their work is. They should have told me up front that they could not help me for weeks.

Very reliable, prompt and do good work. They arrive at the scheduled time. Not within a window of time. So you are not sitting at home waiting for them to arrive within a 4 hour window. They call ahead to let you know they are on the way. Our plumber was courteous, polite, friendly and very professional. He fixed our leaky toilet quickly not wasting any time. While they charge a trip charge and for time on a quarter hour basis, they are reasonable and fair. I would highly recommend Garrett Plumbing to anyone.

They sent out a Professional plumber named Ed. Ed did a professional job and was a gentleman and professional in doing his job. Ed left a well done job and a place as clean as he found it. A gentleman and a professional nice to see these days.

I just got my sink fixed by them and I shot the pipe and then It started leaking again they promised if there was another problem they would fix it but they didn't.

Great company!!! Sanford was on time, very knowledgeable and skilled and the price was fair. It was a tight space to work in, and another company(3rd Generation),sent by American Home Shield, said the only way a ball valve shutoff could be installed was if they cut through my living room wall. Garrett plumbing did not have to do this, and thus charged less.Thanks Sanford and Garrett Plumbing! I’ll use them again and refer them to friends!

Great company. Did an emergency replacement of our water heater.

Garrett Plumbing, recommended by Enguita Construction, was able to send a technician out on short notice to resolve a problem with my shower. The technician was knowledgeable, polite and efficient. It was a very positive experience.

I had called Garrett Plumbing 3 times before I was able to setup an estimate appointment with Gary.
I made a Monday 10am appointment and told Gary I would be driving an hour from Tampa to Redington Shores.
On that Monday I arrived early and waited for Gary to call from the lobby at 10am.
The call did not come so at 10:30am I called the office and spoke to the office dispatcher.
He seemed not very interested in this issue and said he would call Gary and have him call me.
At 11am I had not heard from Gary so I called the office again and the dispatcher said he had not heard from Gary.
He said he would have Gary call me when he came into the office.
I waited ALL DAY and NO CALL ever came.
What a complete waste of time and moss of days Garrett Plumbing was.
I would NOT CALL GARRETT PLUMBING for any job that needs to be done within a scheduled timeframe.
They are unprofessional, unresponsive and not worth the hassle.

Got a great referral from a friend for Garrett's Plumbing. The technician showed up with the correct parts, took his time, and now I have two older shower set ups that work like new! Gary was super helpful, from the first call, to helping identify what devices I had from photos and email. Thank you again for a job well done!

Our Condo. Association (Associa Gulf Coast) sent Garrett Plumbing on 10/17/13 to fix a 2 bath sinks that were not draining well in our newly remodeled bathrooms. The plumber from Garrett Plumbing was very careful and meticulous in his work. None of our furniture was scratched, and the equipment he used did not hurt our sink's look or our vanity's or floors' look. The problem was solved. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!!!
