Update (10/26)Derek is the best. He made sure every issue go taken care of in a very timely manner. Ian and Winston did a great job not eh work (barring a minor setback with a washing machine). And in the end, i got a bit of a discount.Overall, i am very satisfied with my service, barring anything major going wrong in the future.Prior to 10/26:I am still waiting for service to be finished much later than scheduled.First off, we were misinformed by Tammy about when soil samples and permits should be done, but i understand that government bureaucracy can delay issues.Initially Brownies was supposed to be out on Tuesday morning (10/20) between 9-11 to start the job. About an hour into the window, i called in, and i was informed by Derek that they may make it out later, if not the next day. They did not show up until the next day (10/21), but they did show up right at 9 am to start the job. However, they did not complete the job as quoted by Ryan. I was told they would remove a tree to get it done, but the guys on the job refused to do so for liability purposes. They said Brownies makes them pay for any damage done to the property, which i find to be very irresponsible. More importantly, I find the lack of communication between the people quoting the job and those completing it a bit strange and disconcerting.I was informed by the workers that the health inspection would happen the following day, and Tammy requested final payment of $100 dollars (we have already paid $5500) prior to the hole being filled. I politely informed her that the $100 would only be paid upon completion of the job. She told me that the inspection had already passed, and they would fill the hole that afternoon (even though the guys on the job said they would be back on Friday). they of course did not come on Thursday to finish the job, but as i was not expecting them to do so, i let the issue go.Come Friday (10/23), i come back home from work (I couldn't wait for the workers as i had already missed a bunch of time due to the issues mentioned above) and my yard still has a massive hole in it and there is dirt strewn everywhere (and of course, no call about the situation is made to me at any point throughout the day). Upon calling Brownies, they put me on hold, tell me they will call me back in fifteen, which they did not. I called back and talked to Derek and eventually, was informed that the inspectors had gone to the wrong house (at this point, I am assuming Brownies sent them the wrong info), so the inspection had not been completed as told to me by Tammy and that they could not get the inspection done till Monday. I still have no guarantee the work will get done on Monday.Overall, I have found the experience with Brownies to be rather unprofessional. I had used another septic company for an inspection, and after they messed it up, I had brownies come out and assumed that they would definitely be much more professional about handling matters (As they are certified by local 6; they have it on the side of their truck) but the lack of calls informing me about situations is very uncourteous and unprofessional. I will say everyone has been nice throughout the process, but i know that at my job, if I am running late or can't show up, i better call my boss/client and let them know about the situation. Brownies does not seem to care about doing so as this has been at least the fifth time myself and my girlfriend have had to call them to find out what is going on.
