***WILL NOT CALL ME BACK***
My furnace went out in early September. I submitted a claim through my home warranty who contracted Pro Line Mechanical. They were very responsive to schedule a diagnosis. Pro Line confirmed that the furnace needed to be replaced. I've been trying to schedule the repair and they WONT CALL ME BACK! I just tried calling them again and their mailbox is full and I'm clearly not the only one who is waiting on a return call.

If it weren't for my home warranty company forcing me to use this company, I would never consider using them personally.

Had Pro-Line install an Aprilaire humidifier at my home. The quote didn't include electrical work needed (didn't think to ask, didn't think I needed to) and installation missed a basic power piece otherwise (the humidifier needed a relay with my nest thermostat-- the installer still insists it doesn't need it even though the Nest site says it absolutely does. And is now working with one...). So about $600 later with other vendors, I got it all fixed. Owner's attempt to make this right was bad-- he shut down conversation way too early, without all of the information. I won't be using them again, won't recommend them, and am still considering small claims court given how badly the owner dealt with this (and the merits of my case).

RESPONSE TO OWNER:
Owner's response is unfortunate but consistent with my conversations with him. A few points:

-- Yes, a licensed electrician was recommended AFTER the installation was completed and NOT during the quote phase or when the technician arrived, prior to install. Again, I didn't think to ask but had no idea I had to. Had I known I needed to take the extra step, I would have absolutely gone with another contractor.

-- My Nest thermostat had been installed two weeks before your technician got there. Your notes are flat wrong on this.

-- Your technician left after install saying that everything would work once the electrician did what he needed to do. He gave no hint that he (the technician) needed to return to check things out after the electrician left.

-- Once I fired up the humidifier and it didn't work, I texted your technician about fixing things before calling another vendor. I received no response and I've provided proof of this to the owner. Believe me, I would have done all I could to avoid paying another $400 to fix this.

-- That said, after the fix, your tech still wouldn't admit that he missed something. He said that the humidifier should work without the relay installed by the other vendor. The vendor who fixed it showed me Nest's documentation which states clearly that a relay is needed-- your tech didn't know that. So I'm not sure how far your tech would have gotten even if he had come out.

-- I had to change my personal cell number. If owner wishes to make this right, comment here and I will reach out.

K. So...from where we are sitting...you folks canceled the 11am appt... at 9:44am. (Strike 1). Then my wife scheduled with Chris for 5pm but somehow a 12pm appt appeared in your system, she got SCREAMED at by you, inexplicably called a liar??? after Chris called at 3:15pm to try to move up the 5pm he agreed to. (Strike 2). And THEN when the evidence is pointed out to you about your incorrect assumptions, there is a bewildered now i'm confused instead of what SHOULD be a stumbling-over-yourself apology to my wife and myself for the attitude, accusations and abhorrent customer service....if not for clearing the air but also to save yourself a customer. Incredible that there are neanderthals out there that think they can talk to other humans like this, let alone prospective clients

My ac went out early July and I'm writing this review on July 26th. I filed a claim through my home warranty and they sourced the job of fixing the ac to pro line mechanical. They were fairly quick and flexible to schedule a time to come our for a diagnostic overview of the issues. A representative came out and determined it was the condenser and I paid him 99 dollars which is the deductible for my home warranty. He then said he would get back to me with when they ordered the part and schedule a day to install it.
That was 2 weeks ago and everytime I call the owner says some excuse why it's taking so long and says to keep waiting. He said there was a back order, he was busy, he's waiting on approval, etc with his most recent excuse being that the part should be in on Friday or Monday. I called on both Friday and Monday every few hours and he has not even answered the phone for days. This company is truly awful and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'm ok with slow ser ice and long as there's an attempt at communication. Pro line does not have a redeeming quality. They are slow, unresponsive, umcommunicative, and have caused even more of a headache. I know have to call and complain to the home warranty company we use to never use pro line again. However, it does make sense a warranty company used them as they are likely cheap and it makes sense why.
I have attached my call log with proline mechanical. Anything under 10ish seconds is an attempt to call that they don't pick up.

I had a HVAC company come out to my home when my furnace stopped working.they said my furnace isn't worth fixing and trie to sell me a new unit for over $5000.00 I then called a friend who recommended to call pro line, so I did and I couldn't be more pleased. They said my furnace can be fixed for $475.00 and said its worth fixing because my furnace is only 11 years old. I asked them for cost of a new furnace and they said $3295.00 almost $1700.00 lower than the other company. When I'm ready to replace my furnace I'm definitely using pro line I would highly recommend this company to everyone I know.

Found this company on groupon. Misdiagnosed my furnace with a bad inducer motor after spending less than five minutes with it when the control board was the actual problem. Suggested I pay them $400 to fix the motor. I replaced the motor ($100) in 10 minutes myself which did nothing. Had another company come out and diagnose the furnace as having a bad control board because the motor wasn't even receiving power from the board and once the board was replaced, a $50 item, everything worked fine including the old motor. Fortunately I can return the new motor to Amazon despite incurring a $15 fee.

The tech was pleasant but this kind of poor technical service is unacceptable. Try another company.

***RESPONSE TO PROLINE: Competitor came out and properly diagnosed the motherboard as sending no power to the inducer motor. Your tech said the power was being sent to the inducer motor WHEN IT WAS NOT. This has nothing to do with a customer refusing your services. It has everything to do with a customer being wary of the fact that your tech spent less than 5 minutes to guess what was wrong and then did not even test it properly. Your tech did not even diagnose the board. This was the second thing your competitor did once he came on site and realized no power was being sent to the motor. This kind of guess and see approach to repairs is not professional.***

I called Dave at Pro Line Mechanical to come to my home and look at my air conditioning system to see if he could fix the problem. I previously had other companies out to try and fix the problem, but they could not find the problem. Pro Line came out and figured out the problem and fixed it right the first time. I still use Pro Line for all my home needs.

I do not recommend using this company ever. On Monday, my husband spoke with Dave to confirm our scheduled appointment on Wednesday from 11am-1pm and AGAIN Wednesday morning to confirm again at 9:30 am. We arranged our schedules to be there at the allotted time. At 9:44 am on Wednesday we received a cancellation text from the company. I don't know what happened there with the system, and frankly, a system glitch on their end is not mine or my husbands responsibility or doing. Since my husband confirmed verbally with Dave and we did not receive any sort of followup of cancellation from the company we assumed that it was only a system glitch and the contractor would still show up at the scheduled time. When they had not shown by 12pm, I called and spoke with Chris. He let me know that our appointment had been filled but that he could come later in the day. At this point, I felt that coming at 5pm (after I was off work) was only fair since I had already taken time off work earlier in the day for an appointment they missed. Chris agreed and said it was not problem for him to come at 5pm. In the afternoon we received another text about a new appointment scheduled from12pm-3:30pm. I assumed this was another computer glitch because I had personally spoken to Chris to make the 5PM appointment earlier in the day. At 3:15pm I received a second phone call from Chris stating that his last appointment ended early and he would like to come earlier. When I let him know that I could not accommodate an earlier appointment as I was at my office across town, he started saying that he wouldn't be able to fix anything today anyway because stores close at 4pm-4:30pm. This was incredibly frustrating to me because that was not an issue earlier in the day and I felt as if he was just trying to cut out of the day early. He was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and condescending to me on the phone. At this point, I canceled the appointment with him.. He sent me several texts over this time frame blaming me for canceling appointments and changing times. That I should have stuck to the 12pm-3:30pm that I didn't agree to or make. I was kind but incredibly firm in my responses to him that I felt it wasn't a miscommunication or both of our faults but poor planning on his part. After this conversation I received a phone call directly from Dave where he literally yelled at me for trying to change his schedule. I tried explaining to him that was not the truth and he then called me a liar. He then called my husband and left him a condescending control your wife voicemail. That message and phone call was the epitome of misogyny and should never be accepted in our modern world. After my husband sent him the evidence of the canceled appointments he came back with a paltry, bewildered well now I'm confused with no apology or attempt to make it right (not that he could have at that point but an attempt would have said a lot about his integrity).

Highly recommend!

We worked with Pro Line Mechanical to replace the AC and furnace for our new house. Originally we went through our home warranty company but ran into delays so we ended up getting a check and going direct with Dave and co. They procured parts and got us on the schedule within just a few days.

After the installation we had an issue with our thermostat and they dispatched help very quickly and were very thorough in following up until the problem was fixed. Every member of the team has been friendly and helpful and we'll definitely be using them in the future for any HVAC needs.

Btw, some of the negative reviews are talking about them not picking up the phone. Remember that it's a historically busy summer for AC work and there are supply chain issues everywhere. Just try giving another call a few minutes later and someone will pick up.

Thank goodness for this company! Woke up to find my house at 60 degrees on a day when it started snowing. Called them up, and it was fixed by that afternoon. The serviceman, Chris, was fantastic about communication and making sure I knew what was going on. He was all about providing great service and not breaking the bank with unnecessary costs. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone. Would use this service in the future without question.

I called Pro Line on a Monday to schedule furnace service, gave the receptionist our info and she said she would pass it on to their scheduler who would call me back to book a time. I didn't hear anything back so I called back Wednesday morning to see were things stood with getting an appointment, she confirmed my info and said the scheduler would contact me. Friday afternoon I ended up calling another company, who showed up the next day. It's been seven days and I still haven't heard from Pro Line. Will not even consider Pro Line for future needs.

My experience with Proline Mechanical Services was very positive. I had called to have a leak fixed for a washing machine. It was a unique situation in that a pipe had burst in a crawl space and the technician had to go into the crawl space to repair the pipe and then install heat tape on the pipe to prevent freezing in the future. I appreciated the attention to detail the service person paid to my circumstance, fixing the problem not just for the short-term, but to prevent future problems. Thank you for your quick response! Dave and his crew are simply great. They have gone above and beyond to make our home comfortable. They replaced our 30 year old furnace when it gave out and troubleshooted a leak in our plumbing that had been there for years. He was on time each time we called upon him and his prices are reasonable.
