Home Services at The Home Depot

Update : Even though we started the process in May, we didn't get our door installed until November. It was terribly installed and they damaged our porch with the drill. The door wouldn't close all the way and the installer said that's not his problem. He said he couldn't install the closer (that came with the door!)

I was just so happy to finally have a door that I had my husband fix the rest.

Just don't a door from Home Depot, that's my take away. Unless you are installing it yourself and it's in stock and you can walk out with it. Just don't.

PRIOR REVIEW

Attempted to order 2 doors from Home Depot in MAY. The first time I went it was hard to find someone in the door department who would help. Finally Martin helped me and he was competent and at least knew whom to call when he didn't have the answer. Martin made a plan and I got the paperwork to go home and discuss it with my husband. I returned to Home Depot to pay and order the door, and again couldn't find anyone to help me. I came a 3rd time and found someone to help who barely knew how to use the computer. Total: 3 hours of my time over 3 separate visits to simply order a door and pay for installation. Door finally ordered in JUNE.

The installer (In and Out Home Installation) calls my husband and leaves a message to schedule an install. I called the installer at least 5 times in 2 weeks and left a message for callback each time. No one from the installation company ever called me back. Finally, they call my husband again and schedule install for AUGUST. We scheduled a date but the installer didn't show up and didn't give a courtesy call (they said they did call, but we didn't get it). Now I am waiting for a call for re-installation. I'm back to leaving messages for the same person who never called me back.

I called Home Depot and was transferred 5 times but the person I finally reached was very apologetic. But now the installer has my door so I can't even demand my money back and go find someone else to install my door. AND I get to have a whole extra day waiting around my house for the installation guy to come, as if the 6 hours of anticipation and disappointment today wasn't exciting enough.

Guess I can update the review when (IF?) the doors ever get installed to see if they do a quality job of it. Expectations not currently high.

Everybody was helpful and friendly through this pandemic the line ran.

Terrible customer service, dont even want to ever go back to this location.

Had just what I needed, self check out is great.

This location of HD is horrible. You better use other location even further.

Great advice on problems

Went early Saturday morning to pick up wood and have it cut. Was in and out in 10 min

The service is good at this Home Depot location. The downside of going here is that it is always VERY busy so parking is tight and the wait to check out can be long.

Eveytime I've visited this store I leave feeling disappointed because anyone you encounter can't help you. Today I had to ask 4 people before someone showed me where I could find the parts for my water heater. There are some helpful employees but most of them are not worth your time. The home depot on Arapahoe Rd is one of the better stores if you are someone who needs assistance.

Terrible yesterday, no one came at all after requesting help in flooring. Today was better, but can't wait 2 weeks for carpet.

Do not go here to get a kitchen reface. My husband and I spend over $10,000 through them to reface our cabinets and instal counter tops. The cabinets look nice on the outside but are still horrible on the inside. And one of the drawers all ready broke. They did not instal the counter tops rights. One side is hanging 4 off and the other is maybe 1cm. Not a good job, we are going to have redone by another company. We found out 6 months after that we could have gotten new cabinets and counter tops for $6,000 somewhere else. If you do go ahead and use them, DO NOT FINANCE WITH THEIR LOAN. RIPOFF!!!!! They are so unhelpful. They do not send out monthly statements and their interest is not adding up. I contacted them, after a few times my case was sent to their CEO and CFO. They gave me the runaround, but never explained why their interest is not adding up. We have been paying on the loan for over 10 months now with payments of $250. ($2500) Only $854 has been taken off of our account. That's with 6 of those months being no interest.
It's sad when the CFO can not explain how they are figuring out interest. This was a waste of time and money. Mostly money because now we are going to have to pay another company to come in and redo what Home Depot has messed up.

This is one of the better Home Depots. It is large and carries more that most of the other Home Depots.

I went to this home depot on Mississippi ave for an item. The website / app said it was an a certain aisle / bay. I went to that aisle and looked for that bay. That bay did not exist. So I walked around for about 10 minutes looking for an employee. I finally found one and asked. He asked another person who said the item I was looking for was in the far back corner of the store. The employee that I asked about my item and I walked back to the far corner and no items. He called someone and said the item I was looking for was on aisle 38. So we walked over to aisle 38. Still no item. The employee asked me for the SKU number which I gave him. He said other stores had the item I was looking for. I was not going to drive to another store. I drove to this store because the website said it had 2 left. I was not going to trust the home depot inventory and waste my time and gas. OHHHHH AMAZON!!! I am going to order from you again.

Out of all texture for walls

Horrible customer service!! Employees don't know store policies and don't know jack about the department they are in.

Don't seem to have enough cashers ,they were outta quarter round, employees seem like there hard to find when you need them ,3 people inside told me they could fill a new propane bottle then after paying for it a snotty young man told me he couldn't and that I'd have to buy a different propane tank for filling cost more and was same size and it was like it sat outside all the time of its life and it was the BBQ associate who said they could fill it and the propane instince was at a different home Depot if about down with them there's other stores

I was disappointed in the service I received the evening of 3-30-21 I waited to over 30 minutes before I got any help. After finally buying the screen door I get it home and there's no screen, so now I have to go back and argue with them about this. They should have someone with some knowledge in that department
