Acme Sewer & Drain

I had ACME clean my sewer line and video scope it. He ran the video camera before he snaked the line. He said that the line needed to be replaced. He then snaked the line and did not pull anything out of the line. He told me that it was working but that it would not work for long. He said it would cost me around 8k to dig it up and make it right. I was devastated. I do not have 8K to just spend on my sewer line. Needless to say it backed up again two days later. This time I called a different company. I had their magnet on my fridge and thought why not. I am so glad that I called the other company because when they came out they explained that the camera should be done after the cleaning so that you can get a clear picture of what the line looks like and see if the cleaning worked. The new plumbers told me the line did not need to be replaced it just had a few joints that had roots growing in them. This company snaked the line and did a Root treatment and guaranteed it for a year! They were not surprised to hear that ACME tried to rip me off for 8K. I guess this guy is known around town. Unless you want to be swindled out of your money I would call another company! ACME charged me $125.00 and tried to tell me that I needed 8k in work and the cleaning did not even work. The other company charged me $199.00 for the snake and the root treatment and they guaranteed it would not clog from the roots for a year! Not to mention they put my mind at ease that I did not need 8k in new sewer work. I guess you get what you pay for!
