At least they were by far more knowledgeable than going to Home Depot. And they very friendly and helpful.

Lazy and lousy customer service, with smart mouth condescending advice. Very unprofessional service.

The short fat woman who works there claims she has been there for 16yrs including when they were named Globe or global. Very mean woman. You would think after 16 yrs in customer service that she knew what the Phrase customer is always right means. She was very rude and mean and tried to sell me the wrong part and also tried to sell me a tool that I did not need.
I understand that place was short of help as another clerk told me when I entered before I ran into the fat mean woman. what a horrible experience in this time of virius and people trying to get things they need with as less travel and contact as possible. I think 16 yrs appears long enough and maybe she should retire or work in a NON customer service job.

I like it better than when it was Globe plumbing. There is a whole lot more for a selection. Before you had to go in stand in line to order the part you needed. Now mostly everything is on the shelves. You only order the big items cool. Michael K Hobbs.

I miss Global Plumbing and their knowledgeable experts who provided service without snark or sarcasm. With Standard I got the same experience as big box stores with the bonus of higher prices.

Called on the phone, and as soon as I started asking a question a woman hung up on me after sounding frustrated I was talking. Called back and a guy picked up, he apologized but still. Hire staff that act professionally.

I returned items that I did not use because I found another option that was substantially less. None of the items were special order or out of stock items. The cashier told me that a 20% restocking fee would be deducted. The fee was $60. The receipt and a sign in the store said a 20% restocking fee MAY apply. He could not explain why in my situation a few would apply it in what situations it would NOT apply. His only explanation was they could have sold these items to someone else. Mind you, none of the items were special order or out of stock! They were all stocked on the shelves. When I asked to speak to a manager, Cindy came out and without greeting me, letting me ask any questions, or offering any explanation about the store policy, said, “the 20% fee WILL apply. When I asked why the sign says the fee MAY apply instead of will apply, she said, “it’s just semantics.” They arbitrarily and unfairly apply restocking fees! Horribly policy and even worse store manager Cindy.

I needed some bathroom faucet and shower valve replacement stems. That were very helpful in providing the exact replacement parts. In the case of the shower valves, they told me that I only needed gaskets. That saved me a lot. Later it was very easy to return extra parts. I doubt that Home Depot has the correct parts and if so, it would have been very difficult for me to find them.

The store manager, Cindy, went above and beyond to help me figure out the best product, ensure it was in stock, and have it ready for me when I arrived. Solid selection of plumbing parts and tools, as well as fully stocked hardware store. Will be returning.
