The whole process was smooth and quick. Josh Perez was very good at his work, he was very efficient and knew what he was doing. He also took time to explain things to me. I was very pleased with his work and his manners.

Only issue I am not 100% sure is the price I paid. Since I don't know the current average price for the water heater and installation, I can't say if I got a good deal or not but I trust Monkey Wrench charged me a reasonable price. Overall, I am very happy with how everything turned out and let's wait and see if the new water heater lasts another 10+ years, problem free. Thank you again Josh!

Luis Castillo was professional and made sure that we understood every bit of what he was recommending to ensure our new tankless water heater would be repaired and at its most efficient. We were given flexible options to make just the fix or to add to the fix certain necessary upgrades. We appreciate the flexibility that allowed us to take our budget into consideration. Monkey Wrench is a bit on the pricier end but we believe it is because they are more thorough and upfront about the project, their services and the cost it will take perform them. They don't underbid to get the work and then nickel and dime their clients while doing the job--we paid exactly what the job was estimated to cost. We are confident that they get the job done right and if any issue(s) happen to come up, they will be responsive and stand by their work.

I had a new furnace installed last week and the thermostat was defaulting to a low temperature on its own. I called Monkey Wrench and they sent Sean who was extremely helpful and knew exactly what the problem. He told me to press the hold button when I set the temperature. He arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. I'm very happy with the service.

I used Monkey Wrench Plumbing to replace filters for a water filtration system. Manny was very helpful, friendly and quick. My experience with Monkey Wrench was excellent.

Called on a Sunday to see if anyone was available for fix a clogged main line and was told they didn't have anything available for that day, which was fine I understood since it was a Sunday. They told me someone would call the next day, Monday, between 7am and 8am. I didn't hear anything the next day and called them at 8:30. They said they had gotten busy and couldn't send anyone out today. Just a complete waste of time. Contact at your own risk.

I made an appointment to have my tankless water heaters be checked and have the annual maintenance and cleaning and changes of filters done.
the office quoted $195 ( special promotion) and when the technician (Rick Aguire) arrived after 2 minutes he started convincing me to buy new tankless heaters which would be $12000 ( yes twelve thousand ) and when I said NO he spent over 15 minutes of his valuable and charging time to explain and convince me to do it, even offered my finance to buy!!
after getting frustrated then he said I have to pay $390 because the quote for $195 was for only one unit and it was miscommunication ( which I doubt because the office clearly was told about two units), anyway I accepted, but then he told me that I have to pay separately for the filters ( each one $145) I was really disappointed and just wanted to get it over with because I am a physician and I did not want to waste any more time bargaining with this charlatan, I accepted to pay for filters extra and went inside my house to relax from this toxic atmosphere, after a few minutes I came back and asked him if he changed the filter which he said YES I asked him that I wanted to see the old, dirty filter and he said he put it in his van and I asked him to bring it back and I want to see it which he went to his van and came back and said SORRY I MADE A MISTAKE I THOUGHT MY OTHER TECHNICIAN CHANGED IT WHICH HE DID NOT!!
I asked him I don't want the filter change at all and then he said your filter pump is not working and we can change it for $1800 which I called my son and he googled it was $102 and his plumber would do it for $150
this company is really a dishonest and tooooo expensive

Two visits and no help. Blocked off 3 hours both days to accommodate them. Cancelled on me 1 hour before the latest appointment. Use someone else if you can!

Kai is very nice, knowledgeable & thorough! We are very happy with this company. Monkey Wrench Plumbing was recommended to us by the manufacturer & they were the only company that didn't go straight to voice mail when I discovered them last year.

Replaced my kitchen sink faucet and 2 valves. I was shocked at the original quote of $880 for a 2 hor job, but he brought it down to$600 still about $300 more than I expected since I or purchased the faucet. That being said, he was professional and did a great job and perhaps we get what we pay for. I will be more cautions in the future to ask what the estimate will be before ordering a plumber as I would have done it my self rather then give up 2 days pay for him to do the job. But he was fast clean out the next morning after calling at 5pm the day before and it works great. If your handy and have time do it yourself. If you are stressed like me they are worth the call

Luis is a perfectionist. His work was outstanding as was his before and after the job communication. When his three jobs were finished, he put on overalls and slid through the crawl space to make sure our problems were not caused by a leak under the house. He did find one leak (drip) which we will need to get back to at some point. Luis deserves a 10+!

In February 2022, a Google search lead me to several plumbing choices. It was 4:45 pm when I was calling for repair service. I had called 8 other plumbing businesses leaving voice messages requesting service for the Navien tankless hot water heater. However, Monkey Wrench Plumbing had a live person answer the phone. The answering attendant took my info and I received a call back from dispatch within 10-15min. A visit was scheduled for the following day and the technician even called to say he was running ahead of schedule. Several options were given for the repair work. I chose the estimate that fit my current budget and once the work was approved, the return date was scheduled according to my timeline. I asked a lot of questions during the whole process and was grateful for the information I received. I had an excellent experience and would recommend their service. Luis Castillo was really professional. He had extensive knowledge
of our pipeline gas leak issue and helped repairing the pipeline outside the house in a reasonable short amount of time. He was also helpful to explaining to me how to connect with the gas company for restoring the gas service that was turned off for safety. Everything turn on right!

Rick is by far and away the best plumber we’ve worked with in LA (or anywhere!). Leak in tankless water heater diagnostics and annual water heater service performed. Luis was consummate professional. Very knowledgeable. Explained issue and best resolution to correct it.

Called these guys to take a look at a gas leak as the gas company had locked the meter. I was without hot water and they knew it was an emergent situation. The scheduling and the technician were friendly but that's where the good experienced stopped. They gave me a quote for 3 times as high as other quotes I received that day. We aren't talking hundreds of dollars, but thousands. They wanted to charge $4,000 higher than the next person and the other two quotes were from national chains with a great reputation. Additionally, I came to find out that I was charged double of what a normal leak detection test would have cost. $500 vs $250 from anyone else. If you do call this company, please make sure you call around because you're likely going to get taken for a ride.

We have little children and we woke up one morning and there was no hot water. I called a friend who referred me to Monkey Wrench. When I called the company I explained it was an emergency. Omar came out to replace two noisy check valves on my tankless water heater. He replaced them with much quieter ones. He was on time, courteous, informative and very efficient and did a great overall job.

Daniel was great. It turns out that I was able to make the repair before he came, but he gave a free check up on our plumbing and pronounced everything in great working order. So nice to have someone honest and not trying to up-sell. I will definitely give him a call next time I need a plumber.

My experience with Monkey Wrench has been extraordinary and I couldn't be happier. I have used 4 different plumbing companies in the last 10 years and since finding Monkey Wrench last year, I no longer have issues with subpar work. The customer service is outstanding, as is the level of professionalism. Of all of the contractors I have dealt with in the ongoing remodel of my house, no company comes close to operating their business the way Monkey Wrench does. Highly recommend!

Rick was able to quickly identify the issue. Unfortunately for me my existing water heat was basically shot. But Rick provided several options and let us know financing was available if needed. Once we chose the new system we wanted, Monkey Wrench got it all installed within hours. Every step of the way was well communicated and explained in detail.

My old Noritz from 2007 had another heat exchanger failure. Rather than replace the old copper style heat exchanger, I opted to upgrade to the current design with stainless steel (and 25 year warranty). I had used Monkey Wrench Plumbing in 2014 and instantly thought of them for this new work. Leonel arrived on time as promised, discussed my options with estimates, and we scheduled the job for the next day. There was a scheduling conflict and my water heater turned out to have more than one problem, necessitating a couple of different visits and several phone calls. Through all this, their dispatcher, Kevin, ensured the most prompt of responses that he could given the circumstances. Moreover, the plumber who actually did the job, Leo, truly owned the problem. He knew how to diagnose the circuitry problem, ensuring an expensive circuit board wasn't replaced without thoroughly testing and ensuing the demise of the old one, and he successfully found a local source for the replacement, minimizing the down time. He also installed the new heat exchanger and fully tested the system for proper functionality, leaving only after he was completely satisfied with it. And in spite of the fact that these things are expensive, he made every effort to keep the price down as much as possible. This is a highly competent and reliable company, complete with an entertaining mascot.

My service tech Leonel was extremely knowledgeable, skilled, and communicative. Excellent attention to detail, and explanation of my issues and options. He undid some of the errors from a previous shoddy installation that I had no idea were needed, but were the source of my problems. Now my Noritz tankless water heater is as good as new and should last many more years, beating the cost of a complete replacement. MW costs more than smaller plumbers, but is well worth it when you want it done right the first time. Highly recommended!

I can't say enough good things about Monkey Wrench Plumbing, and their Technician Leonel. I have a tankless water heater and began to have problems with it within one year. The company that installed it came out twice, and both times gave me a different reason for the problem and charged me a lot of money to fix it (although it was not fixed!) The third time I called Monkey Wrench Plumbing and they sent Leonel. He found the problem right away, fixed it at a very low cost and problem solved!! This year I had a toilet issue that Leo took care of promptly…(and again, at a very low cost.) I am thrilled with Monkey Wrench Plumbing. Ruben was wonderful! He took a cursory look at our problem and stated it could be a very expensive fix because of all the tree limbs. We left him to his job while we went to work. When we got home, a major plumbing issue had been fixed for a very reasonable price. We believe Ruben had an opportunity to make the job much bigger than necessary and we wouldn't have been the wiser. It's comforting to know there are still people in business that can be trusted.

They came out for a simple drain clog. Said the couldn't clear it and pipes would have to be replaced at estimated cost of $3500. Got a second plumber and they were able to clear it no problem. They refunded the money, that's why 2 stars and not 1. But claimed they don't know why they would have recommended replacing the pipes. Shady!

Driver very dangerous and rude on the road. Plate # 29957G2 at 6.45pm on 12/17/21 at the intersection of 91 east and 405 north/south. Driver was so busy looking at his phone that was almost causing a collision with my vehicle. He was not aware (he was just doing it on purpose) of the cars around him causing the traffic to stop and don’t allow any cars to pass as it supposed to happen in a conjunction. Even when honking the horn driver was (on purpose) not responding. Video with dash cam and pics are been saved and sent to authorities for follow up. Driver should not be allowed to drive until he understands the rules of the street.

Each of their technicians is excellent. They go the extra mile to complete the task or repair. I’ve only ever had superior service from Monkey Wrench. They’re efficient, responsive, and work until the job is done right.

Aldo provided an assessment of the problem water heater by seeing the current work done: calling Noritz for any replacement thermal fuse parts to find a current solution to the error code 14. Provided options to take with current water heater setup and going down the new water heater replacement routes. Aldo was knowledgeable and detailed in his work. Aldo made sure entering the home he had shoe coverings to inspect the hot water in the bathrooms. Left workspace clean before and after. Fantastic service!
Our Rinnai tankless heater stopped working and would show an error message every time we ran hot water. We called a local plumber who inspected the unit and recommended that we ask a Rinnai certified technician to service the unit. We found Monkey Wrench Plumbing on the Rinnai website and contacted them. The intake person asked detailed questions to understand what the issue is and scheduled Ezra to come to our house the same day. Ezra arrived within the scheduled time frame and was very kind to explain each and every step of the process. We were very happy to learn that, while he is a licensed plumber, his primary focus area is tankless water heaters and that he is experienced with our specific model. He first performed a diagnostic assessment inspecting the water lines, the gas line and the Rinnai device. He then provided us with a detailed quote for the recommended service and upon completion the malfunction was corrected, and our house had hot water again. We couldn’t have been happier with his service and will recommend him without reservation to any one who needs service or repair of a tankless water heater. We also plan on using this company for any future plumbing needs.

Once again Monkey Wrench Plumbing has saved the day at my home! Water heater busted and Daniel came by when he said he would, prepared, and with a smile. He stayed until the job was perfected and even made sure to leave the place as clean (maybe even cleaner) than when he arrived. Pricing was fair and well deserved for the quality of professionalism and workmanship.

I called Tuesday afternoon and was given an appointment for the very next day at 8:00am. At first there was a miss communication with my address but it was quickly resolved. Daniel the service plumber who was dispatched to me arrived on time. He was truly THE BEST OF WHAT I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN A DISPATCHED SERVICE TECH. We reviewed my plumbing problem together, he explained the best possible solution, gave me a price quote, went directly to work and completed it in a timely fashion then cleaned up behind himself. The price was as he quoted - ( I felt it was a bit pricey ) but he did deliver top quality work and the price was as he quoted- and not a penny more!

These guys are great. They just recently worked on our Noritz tankless hot water heater and I highly recommend. They are very professional and I have learned from experiences with many other plumbers that you get what you pay for. Go with the professionals and that would be Monkey Wrench.

Do not work them. They will lie to you to get more work/money. They ruined my warranty on my heater. I called 3 other plumbers and all confirmed that they were pushing to make more money. I called my appliance company and they confirmed their statements were not true. Lost my money on having them come out. Very unhappy!

Andres did a wonderful job today. We had a weird problem that came out of nowhere which was really frustrating. Andres took the time to explain the problem, and we came up with a solution that was expensive but worth it in the long run.

I am disappointed. My hot water is not working 3 days from the day that Joshu came out. He gave me an estimate on the service before he arrive from the last time he came out in November. Once you change out the Gas manifold (if under warranty): Remove parts and install new parts provided by the manufacturer if they cover the parts under warranty. When I called to schedule the appointment the scheduler told me that the part was cover under warranty. On the day of service Joshu and another man came in to service the tank without the gas manifold that he said I need to fix the problem. He never order the part and came an still didn't fix the problem.Told me that I need to change out the entire unit.

Tub and shower faucet lost pressure. The tub took a long time to fill. and the shower was running hot and cold. Daniel thoroughly inspected the problem and provided options to me. He replaced the shower valve which was found to have debris blocking the water (the root cause of the pressure problem) and then he learned the tenant had turned up the water heater to compensate for the lost pressure which made the water way too hot. Aldo did a great job fixing my Noritz tankless hot water heater that recently stopped working after only 4 years :( He had to replace a bunch of parts that were defective, then rebuild and the heater and put it back in place. Not just plumbers, but technicians as well at Monkey Wrench. I would definitely use them again if I'm having issues with my tankless.
