You've found your plumber! Jim and Sons is a highly skilled team with a moral compass; proceed with confidence! ---- Our story: We had a leak in the line from the water main to the home. Another plumbing company misdiagnosed the issue as a slab leak at the footer of the home. The competitor insisted the only way to repair the issue was to replace the entire line. (Very expensive option) Stephen, of Jim and Sons, explained he could better pinpoint the leak with some sophisticated plumbing equipment. In a short while, he had the issue located and resolved for a fraction of the other proposed solution. There was no scope creep, no damage to my driveway or my front walk.

They also are are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. We moved into our house 7 months ago. Since then we’ve put in a new sink, RO System, whole house de-scaler, toilet, water line for the fridge, garbage disposal, new water heater, and we had a gas leak. They’ve been here so much doing work on our house that my daughter thinks they are our friends and asks about Mr. Aaron. There was one issue where a part they installed was faulty. They came out within 24 hours, fixed it asap, explained the issue an apologized excessively, and explained to that they’ve taken steps to ensure they don’t get parts from that vendor again. Not only do they do great work, but they have the integrity to own a problem and make sure that it doesn’t happen again, at no cost to the customer.

I have very minimal toleration for bad service, and am always looking for the best deal, for me to have used the same plumber, this many times, in this short a window, says something about their skill, quality, and integrity. I cannot recommend them enough. I contacted them on a lark because they are based on Narnia St and I’m a huge CS Lewis fan, and it was easily the best contact we’ve made with a tradesperson since buying our house. As you’ve been reading this, your toilets been leaking, or your sink has been clogged…call Jim and Sons and get that fixed asap.

Wow... they really go above and beyond for their customers. As a business owner you definitely want these guys on speed dial.

They never returned phone call, though left a text message saying appointment scheduled, see you in morning. Called number back and got same voice mail, left a message as like the first message with all information and explained text I received. Monday morning I called first and left another message. This time we were concerned having someone not come out before Christmas. Decision was made to call another local company after receiving a message saying Fred we are on our way. Called back and asked what address they had, not us and my name is not Fred.
Hiniker plumbing was called and showed up at time scheduled and fixed the issue.
I am a strong believer in having local businesses have first chance, will not recommend Jim and Sons plumbing to any one, Hiniker will have the nod.

After poor service and no results from another plumbing company that told me I needed a complete home re-pipe job and new water heater (which they never showed up to install), Jim & Sons came and fixed the leak under my home and fixed my water heater. Price was incredibly reasonable and they were quick. Thank you guys. Completely appreciative for great service.

Original Review: The main water line to my house burst unexpectedly, so I was in crisis mode. I'm also on a budget so I needed to shop around for quotes. Stephen and his crew showed up within an hour of my call and quickly determined what needed to be done and how much it would cost me. They quoted me a great price, replaced the main line to the street, and even replaced the nasty galvanized water supply pipes, updated all the valves, and installed a pressure regulator in under 4 hours! I couldn't be happier!

This was also the only plumbing company that even mentioned a warranty. The water line is covered for 30 years, so I can sleep at night. I hope I won't be back anytime soon, but if I have another crisis I know who to call.

Updated Review: Unfortunately, I have two more plumbing emergencies to report on. In short, I have terrible luck but Jim & Sons has been there for me through thick and thin. I won't waste time calling anyone else from now on, and I guess the plus side is I can weigh in on a number of their services.

Water Heaters: In January, Aaron helped me when my water heater exploded. I shopped around for quotes to replace it and was quoted everywhere from 2k to 25k! Jim & Sons had the best price by far and didn't try to upsell me on stuff I didn't need. I felt like everyone else was trying to rip me off but Aaron made me honest recommendations as if he was working on the plumbing in his own house. The job was done quickly and without any headaches. Loving my hot showers ever since.

Drains: Since buying the house 2 years ago, I've been having constant issues with my kitchen drain backing up. Last year, I had it hydrojetted by another company. They started the job, said they couldn't get the last 10 feet, charged me $600, and left. Of course, my problems persisted until I called Jim & Sons this week. Their price for hydrojetting is much better, and they wouldn't even think of giving up if the job wasn't done. Here's how this service went: First, Daniel showed up to assess the problem and pull out the snake I had got caught in the drain. He was prompt, professional, and friendly. Then, Stephen and Chris came over to hydrojet the *whole* drain and diagnose the issue. They used a camera to determine that the sewer line had collapsed. For transparency, they showed me images of the inside of the broken pipe, identified places where it collapsed, and sent me a photo of the pipe once it was removed. We discussed options and went with the cheapest and least invasive: instead of tearing up the floors in the house, install a new drain pipe that runs around the house and tie it into my existing sewer line. They even repaired the concrete they needed to remove to install the pipe, and were very thorough in making sure the concrete came out level with the existing patio. They were so careful to work around a garden bed I had built right next to the buried sewer line, and almost all my plants survived the digging! We took advantage of the opportunity to replace a buried galvanized water supply with copper and re-route some old pipes to better suit my needs. Now I'm enjoying a free flowing kitchen drain and some very nice water supply upgrades on my back patio.

If your pipes are cursed like mine are, make sure you give them a call. They'll take good care of you. I'll update you next time I have a crisis.

We have to say that this is the first time in a long time that we were 100% Satisfied with contracted services We called the evening before to schedule a service appointment and was scheduled for service the very next morning between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. The two skilled professionals arrived promptly at 8 a.m. They were courteous, efficient, and experts in their field,. They explained the process of the job, which allowed us to fully understand the work that was required.

Curly came out today within a short time after I called this company, and he was very professional, efficient and personable. We had a leak in the pipe that sends water into our house. He fixed that pipe, installed a new faucet where we hook up our hose, and installed a ball socket on the pipe that leads to the sprinklers for a very reasonavle price. We highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again if we have other plumbing issues.

These guys are amazing. I was selling my home in a hurry and had a finicky buyer. They wanted an airator on a bathroom sink replaced and a wobbly faucet tightened, but stipulated it be done by a professional and wanted an invoice as proof. Quick easy tasks I could have done myself. I called 2 other plummers who wouldn't accept such a small job. Jim and sons came in and did the repairs in less than 15 minutes. Quick, professional all around honest guys. I am so grateful companies like this still exist.

This is in response to a small job for my parents with a toilet valve issue. Tech Daniel, which we have had a few times before at my residence and at my folk's home, was immediately available and on the appointed time. Daniel was very accommodating dealing with my parents age and father's growing dementia issues. Both felt very safe and very comfortable with him which is a very important factor with seniors. They were indeed very impressed with my recommendation to try Jim & Sons after some less than satisfactory experiences with some other companies. Angie in the office was very helpful. Daniel the field worker was always informing me when he was on his way, and when the job was done. Jim & Sons Plumbing and Rooter is a very well oiled machine.l'm glad I had them do my job.I recommend them highly.

Have used Jim & sons plumbing a few times now and they have surpassed my expectations every time! I will continue to call them when I have plumbing needs!
