I've used Goode Plumbing multiple times and I'm always impressed by their professionalism. They clearly enjoy and take pride in the work they do. They have now installed two water heaters for me in two different homes and I cannot recommend them enough. Their latest work entailed installing dual tankless water heaters working in tandem, which they installed perfectly and worked hard to finish the job on the same day. Thanks to Chip, Joey and his team for the hard work.

Alex Y. came over promptly after I submitted my web form and explained out water heater plumbing issues. He gave a thorough detail as to what the issue was, his recommendation, and why exactly he was recommending a new water heater installation. He also informed us about their furnace cleaning/inspection service which we took advantage of as well. The price for everything was a bit higher than we expected, but we trusted the knowledge and quality of the work. He also gave some tips for some of the smaller things we wanted to get done around the house ourselves.Chris C. was friendly and approachable as he introduced himself, and got to work quickly on the furnace inspection. Overall it seemed like the unit was doing alright, but he did try pretty hard on up-selling additional humidifier upgrade/replacements. He gave us a recommendation for the HVAC/Furnace capacitor replacement, but we opted to wait on replacing as the price seemed a bit steep, and everything was still working as expected.Jonathan D. and Chris K. did a solid job at the installation, as well as incorporated feedback I gave them at the beginning of the installation. All questions were answered clearly and they explained pretty much everything before heading out. I forgot to ask about usage instructions for the new water heater units, but I'm sure we can find those online somewhere.Overall positive experience and look forward to bringing them in for any other plumbing concerns we have.

In moments of crisis!?! Who you gonna ?? That’s right the folks at Goode plumbing . They saved the day. Prompt response and honest work. Joey went above and beyond! I have them on speed dial. I wound recommend him and his team to anyone needing plumbing repair in times of emergencies or even basic maintenance. They are extremely professional and communicate very clearly. They made it look easy and I’m a grateful that I was able to find them especially in my moment of crisis when the water pipes in my office froze/burst.I don’t leave reviews much but this one was well deserved and I would write them a hundred more. Solid team and great working with them. Equally important was that their services were very affordable

I was recommended to Goode Plumbing by other happy customers who really trusted their work and their warranties for the work performed. I met with John L. and he thoroughly explained all the options and answered all of my questions. He was even able to provide a “quiet” feature that our old plumber never offered after I completed about the noise at our sump pump. We also decided to purchase their 5 year maintenance plan. The service technicians that came out the same day as our quote from John were friendly, professional, and clean. Would definitely recommend.

It's hard to leave a review since I didn't ultimately use this company, but the couple of people I spoke with were very professional and helpful. They provided a same-day inspection of my existing water heater and provided a couple of potential solutions for me to consider. However, I chose to go another route and didn't use them for their services so I can't really speak about their quality of work. I can only speak for their responsiveness and professionalism, which were both excellent.

If you earn $45,000 a year and want 1/50th your annual income going to a plumber that worked 45 minutes, these are your guys.I spoke with a very nice woman at Goode Plumbing who set up an appointment to swap out our kitchen disposal. I wouldn’t be there but my wife would. They installed a disposal they had on the truck, it took less than an hour. They left a $945 invoice with my wife.It seemed extremely high to me, so I looked up the model number of the disposal thinking maybe it was really expensive. The model costs $102 at Home Depot. Which means $843 dollars in labor for less than an hour of work. Sure a guy needs to make a buck and there’s overhead, but $843 for less than an hour of labor?I left messages for next 2 weeks because I was repeatedly told by the very nice receptionist Jake is sick, he’s out of town, he’ll call you right back… etc. etc…no one called back after 2 weeks of calling.Finally Jake called me back, explaining “this is their going rate”. He apologized and said “sorry if you don't like our pricing”. It was a pleasant conversation and informative for me to never call them again.

I contacted Goode for an emergency plumbing repair Friday morning, and they had someone out by Friday afternoon. They adhered to the original time frame mentioned on our initial call, and gave us a 30 min heads up on the way. Work was more reasonably priced than an estimate from another vendor. One of the best experiences with trades people I've ever had!

We have owned various homes in Chicago for the past 35 years and Goode is the best plumbing service we have ever used. Every single plumber they have sent us knowledgeable, skilled, and informative. They don't do work that is not needed and work with you to save money. They've been out to diagnose some problems at no charge and give prompt estimates - which they honor. Never going to use any other plumbers in Chicago!

Goode was very responsive, they showed up very quickly when I had a backed up kitchen sink which ended up being due to a very complicated sewer situation. They were VERY committed to solving the problem which required multiple visits (but not their fault, it was just a very complex situation). They really went above and beyond to fix the issue which even included getting a metal fabricator involved to custom make a critical part for us! I was very impressed by their professionalism and commitment to fixing the issues for us and highly recommend them.

Chip was incredibly professional and expedient regarding my sink issue. The issue was assessed and resolved within 8 hours. I will be going back if any other plumbing issues arise. But I expect that won’t happen much with the level and quality of service that was delivered.

Called Goode to fix the second failed cartridge in two faucets (I had fixed the first one myself a few years ago). Not only did they come out the day after I called but they were able to fix the new one and complete the last step of the first one I could not do myself and was living with. Price was reasonable and the job was done quickly, cleanly and right!

My building had an issue with our heating system last week that was temporarily addressed during an emergency visit by a heating company, and Goode came out to provide a quote for full repair in addition to the previous quote we'd gotten from the heating company that came out the previous week.Even though the tech identified fairly early on that Goode would likely not be the right provider to resolve the issue (because we have a low-pressure steam system that requires a specialist), they still spent about half an hour walking around various components of the system and talking through potential causes, solutions, and functional information that was both incredibly helpful and very above and beyond what I expected from an estimation visit. They were able to identify a number of things that the other heating specialist company had not investigated, recommended a few other companies that might be able to help if we needed additional estimates or work done, and offered a few options that Goode could offer to try and help things if we were interested, but were in no way pushing anything.I'm not sure I've ever had a tech come out that was this professional, educational, and helpful for an estimation visit. While they didn't perform work, I cannot express how impressed I was with how they handled the situation. They are now on our short list of plumbing vendors for future work.

These guys are the best, ever. I own a three-flat and have had a hard time finding folks you can trust. Brian (whom I refer to as Brain) has always assessed things with care and then sat down with me to draw diagrams(!) of what the problem is, explaining in detail what my options are. This last time, he wasn't available except for the initial consult. A section of the 6 clay pipe leading out to the city had to be replaced. When these two young guys arrived (Tyler and Nick), I was like, oh boy, how can these youngsters possibly known anything: I was upset. But as soon as we started talking, I knew they had been extremely well trained. They were no nonsense and immediately went to work. Like Brian, they took the time to explain. And when they encountered an unexpected problem (part of the uncovered 6 had been coated in cement), they knew exactly what to do and how to do it. They are now also my favorites. lol. They are, for sure, pricey. But when you're dealing with such a major investment like plumbing, you don't want to have something pop up three years later and cause even worse problems. Which is what has happened at least twice with me, having chosen 'cheaper' options. So: they are great. If you can afford them (or the financing that they offer), I say, go for it.

Two guys came out on Christmas Eve when our pipes froze. They were very friendly, considerate, and direct in terms of the urgency of the situation. I really appreciated how honest they were and easy going too. Much appreciated, especially on Christmas Eve.

A new shut-off valve was needed to replace an existing one which no longer functioned and had a slow drip, connected to a basement toilet. The toilet also needed repairs to prevent it from randomly running causing excess water usage. Jacob (technician from Goode) was able to handle both repairs, arriving very timely and completed the work in a very short time period. He was responsive, understood the issues, and went above and beyond in his visit, showed concern for any other issues that may exist, and actually made a few minor adjustments on other items while here. We discussed other potential future projects, and he sent estimates later the same day, with no pressure to move forward on them until we are ready. I highly recommend Goode, whose services we have used for a number of years, and Jacob for his performance demonstrated on this job.

Chris and his associate (feel terrible, don’t remember the name!) we’re amazing. We had an issue with water leaking into our below neighbors from our bathroom. They were able toCome out the next day, diagnose the problem and quickly fix. They were super professional, knowledgeable and a plus for dealing with our very excited dog. Would highly recommend and we’ll be using again if we ever need to.

100 year old Chicago house always has the need for a reliable plumber. Goode is helping to modernize this house pipe by pipe for a pretty good price and solid craftsmanship.

My toilet was running all the time so I called Goode to come check it out. Trevor came within a few hours and quickly diagnosed the issue. Some parts were needed, so he left and a few hours later Adan and Henry came. They quickly did the repairs, showed/explained things to me and cleaned up well. Everyone was very nice, professional and a pleasure to do business with.

From the very beginning, starting with my call to set up my appt to their departure from my home, it was a great experience.Antonio T and Daniel M were very respectful of my home by keeping it clean and dry given the unfavorable weather conditions outside. Everything was communicated clearly from the inspection to the cost of the repair. Even though they’re a bit pricey I know my home is getting high quality work completed. I would definitely use them again in the future and plan on it.

Jon and Chris showd up at 10.30pm on a Friday night with Temps around 0F. Came in, patched a burst pipe and did their best to thaw approximately 30' of frozen line. Didn't work but they offered lots of options and directed me to the most cost effective solution in the long run.They are patient, knowledgeable and empathetic to a homeowner looking at no water during the Christmas weekend. Would hire again if needed.

We paid VIP membership and has been with Goode for a number of years now. Never had issues until this week with the installation of the water tank for the radiant floor. Tank was installed on Wednesday however the floor is not heating, temp is dropping to 67F. Thought we would need to give it 24 hours or so to get the system going. Called on Friday morning, was advised that they have no one to come out until Monday, we argued with the operator that we have VIP membership and we cannot wait for 3 days of system not working. We are essentially paying for the system to heat our floor that does nothing and wasting our money.An hour or so later received a text msg that our appointment is booked. We called the office asking what's happening, was told they found someone to come out and look at the problem. We asked if the 1st operator we worked with was someone in the office or an after hour 3rd party call service, she confirmed that it was 3rd party call service.Technician came and worked on it, it looked like the temp was going up while they're there and problem solved. Technician said please monitor until about 3 PM, it should go back up to 70F, if it doesn't call the office and we can at least speak to the technician who understand the system best.3 PM and temp went back down to 68 F. We called the office again and spoke with the 1st operator who's supposed to be a 3rd party call service but now claimed that she's not, she's actually working in the office. Told her the problem and her reply was I told you we can't send the person out until Monday but because you wanted someone to come out so we just send you anyone we can spare. We argued to at least speaking to the someone who understand the system so we can have a patch for the weekend because we didn't want to a high electric bill. Her reply was it's not going to cost you hundreds of dollars of increase. That's incredibly tone deaf, she doesn't know my situation and if it's not going to costs a lot, I don't see her or Goode offering to pay for it. We now have paid for an installation that costs thousands of dollars but is not usable.Our issues lies with how poor the customer service was and the fact that we cannot trust who we're speaking with because they provide conflicting information. The installation should have been done by the technician who's familiar and understand the radiant floor system to ensure when they left the house it is working. The operator that we spoke with offers no sympathy, didn't try to work with us to see if something can be worked out and as the costs of living has gone up, her comment about the electric bill did not help. We have not been able to speak to a Manager or receive a courtesy call. Apparently no Manager works in the morning or available after 3 PM. At this stage, I'm not sure what the VIP membership is worth since we're supposed to be put on a priority calls but clearly that has not been the case.

I highly recommend Goode Plumbing for their efficient, professional and prompt work. It’s wonderful to have an explanation of the issues so clearly stated in layman terms. They were great in making modifications when I had an existing counter blocking the toilet instillation. The ADA toilet height with an extra 2 1/2 “ is perfect for my needs. I thought that Brian and Brendan were both polite and friendly along with making the whole job super easy. They found their own parking and all I had to do was answer the door. I’m very pleased with Goode Plumbing’s work. Thank you Brian and Brendan!

Today, Chip came out to clean some drains and fix some toilets and he and his partner did an excellent job and communicated clearly what was going on with my plumbing. Day before thanksgiving and my kitchen sink had dark water. Called Goode. They came out. Riffed my pipes. All good now. Didn’t think we would get anyone out the day before the holiday b. Very relieved!

I can’t comment on quality because no repair was needed after they arrived.They came out to evaluate a pipe leak in my ceiling from the bathroom above it, but we were unable to replicate the leak when running water and flushing toilets. They spent quite a bit of time trying to diagnose it and were very reasonable about the trip charge and diagnostic effort. I would use them again in the future.

I had barely hit submit on the online estimate request when I got a call back. And the issues I was having were quickly resolved. Chris L. was professional, courteous, and—most important—very patient with my numerous questions.

As a New Building Owner and Landlord I now have had to use Goode Plumbing 3 times this year. Every time the staff has been polite, courteous, and helpful. The first time was a minor issue with the water heater and my inability to light the pilot. The technician Nick fixed it immediately and showed me what I was doing wrong and didn't even charge me. The next issue was a gas leak due to some remodeling that a contractor had done when they had moved the gas line. Goode Plumbing came out and fixed the issue the same day so that my tenant didn't have to go more than 24 hours without gas. The last issue was a leaky faucet Jose came out and found the leak and replaced the faucet. I have been impressed with the professionalism, service, and helpfulness of all the technicians. They are a great companyUPDATE: Since my original posting I have had the opportunity to use Goode plumbing several more times. They have always been professional and their work has been excellent. I am impressed by their friendliness and service. They have kept me informed and offered me several options. They are a great local business.

I run an Anytime Fitness in chicago. Someone was able to rip our sink off the wall. Your company came out immediately, assessed the problem and fixed it all within a few hours. Not only did they fix it but they secured it so well it wouldn’t be an issue in the future. I can’t even begin to explain how friendly and cool chip was. He explained everything in detail to us. Alex and Ian were both super friendly and helpful. We had a leaky faucet and needed the entire faucet replaced, they helped us pick out a new one and then installed it within 4 days of making the initial call.

We had to have our catch basin vacuumed out and main sewer line hydro blasted. Larry also put a camera in the main line to check for any issues. Everyone was very professional and the work was very thorough. I would absolutely recommend Goode.

They were professional and friendly from start to end. Adan, our plumber, was courteous and friendly. He explained the job in detail, both before he began it and while he was completing it. He was tidy, wore shoe coverings in the house and cleaned up afterwards. Our shower works better than it ever has! We were so happy we just had them come back out for an estimate on a sewer back flow valve project. We recommend Goode Plumbing for your plumbing work.

I'm sorry to share a not great review, but I feel Goode Plumbing way overcharged my mom for a simple toilet repair. I called and spoke to a receptionist and asked to have them call me back, but no response. They completed the job and no leaks, I just think they overcharged for this simple service and took advantage of an elderly person

Goode is not cheap but they were creative in their approach to a difficult problem behind kitchen cabinets that could not be removed. The quality of work was excellent and the technician, Jose, made sure everything was in perfect order before he left.

This is probably the 4th or 5th time we've used Goode Plumbing and every employee I've ever worked with has been kind, knowledgable, approachable and a very clear communicator. They have always been great to work with and they are always my first call for any plumbing needs.

Completely dissatisfied and disgusted with two recent jobs by Goode Plumbing, especially considering that I am a repeat customer (3 jobs in 2020-2021) who had a good experience with this company in the past. Not only did they not do the job as outlined in the estimate/proposal (“rebuild a vintage shower”… in fact they did not rebuild anything), but even worse, now the shower is not functioning. So, I paid $1,700 to have damage to my vintage shower that will now cost me at least $1,200 to fix (according to another plumber). Not to mention that they kept my credit card on file without my authorization and charged the final payments without my authorization. Also the scheduling and follow up from the office staff was pathetic. One person seemed to know what was going on and another, completely clueless. Will not work with this company in the future.

I called for service on a kitchen sink and they went out the same day. John was great! Called me before he got to the home and then sent estimates for me to sign and move forward. Thank you for your service.

Chip at Goode did a fantastic job. He arrived within a hour of my original call, quickly identified the problem and was able to quickly obtain and install the required part. They were professional and easy to work with. While I hope to not have another plumbing problem soon, I will call again if I do!

I have used Goode plumbing at my previous residence and have always been satisfied. I moved to a house with a sump pump. It was making noise. Joey came out and educated me about sump pumps and helped me resolve problem. He also helped few months ago with a ejector pump installation. Very nice to work with, cares about helping, and knows his job.

Always, responsive, come when they say they will and get the job done with no fuss. This was an an emergency, when we had guests on a Sunday. No problem for Goode, thank goodness. Wouldn't use anyone else.

John, Joey, Ashton, and Jose did a great job from start to finish. John came out to give an estimate the day after I called and explained everything giving me options. Joey and Ashton came the following day and removed the old piping and booster pump. They replaced the water heater and did a fantastic job. Then Jose came out and replaced the booster pump. The house is quite old and they had to do some troubleshooting along the way but they made sure to explain everything and answer all my questions along the way. Highly recommend their work! I’ll be using them for my next plumbing issue!

Used them years ago for simple things like having a washer replaced but with that there was always an upsell, or an additional part needed. Or we had to replace a piece a year later. Felt like we were having the same jobs done every two years. We finally got smart, hired a new company and since have not had the same problems. Imagine that? Do your research.

Joey did a great job reworking my bathroom plumbing to accommodate my new fixtures. He was professional, efficient, and knowledgeable and the job was done at a price that didn't break the bank even on short notice.

They came out and did a “diagnostic” for $350 that took five minutes. I fully expected for that amount of money there would be some light repair work, which is all I needed. Instead Goode wanted $800 to replace the rubber hoses to my washing machine. Let that marinate. $800 for a couple pieces of rubber and maybe a half hour of work. Techs were friendly and knowledgeable and it wasn’t their fault — it’s the but the pricing and management of this place is predatory. This place is worthless, keep looking.

Goode Plumbing has done amazing work for us. They're professional, good at communication, and careful to get everything done to code and inspected. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do what they have done for us. Thank you!

These wonderful young men did a thorough and thoughtful inspection of our 2-flat in search of a potential leak. The were polite and respectful of our tenants and the property. I’ll call them again!

I had an issue with a sink clog and a toilet that wouldn’t flush. They installed a garbage disposal and cleared the sink very quickly. Also fixed my toilet and didn’t even charge for it. Excellent service and very professional.

Jean Paul, as always, did a magnificent job on my home remodeling project this week. He also found efficient solutions to everything that the drywall & painting company pointed out were issues and that needed to be fixed by a professional plumber. Jean Paul also did a wonderful job at installing the toilet, pedestal sink, and faucet in my new powder room. It looks amazing! He also is helpful with sharing his insight on the best way to care for these new items. I always learn so much when he is here. Plus, Jean Paul also has an amazing sense of humor!A big thank you to Jean Paul as I continue to remodel the first floor of my home! We have lived in our current home (high-rise condo) for more than ten years and have exclusively used Goode Plumbing whenever we have needed plumbing services. From plumbing in the kitchen, to on-demand hot water heating to toilets, Goode has NEVER failed to be at our home usually with same-day service, NEVER anything beyond next day. In our case, Brian has become our plumber...what a plus as he knows the plumbing system both in our residence and in the building and we know Brian. In our home, when the shout is Call the plumber, GOODE is ALWAYS in ALL WAYS the call we make!

This group of plumbers did a great job. Good explanations on what they were doing and costs involved. Everything was clean and tidy when they left.

Fast, quick work; they clearly knew what they were doing. They cleaned up their workspace afterward. I was pleased with the price, and I will hire them again the next time I need plumbing work.

Anthony and his partner were complete professionals. Each time they entered my home they put on shoe covers and used care to not make a mess. Everything throughout the process was thoroughly explained and I am confident the issue was resolved.

The team from Goode Plumbing was very helpful and professional when my basement sewer connection was blocked! They cleared the blockage, showed me what was on the camera and talked me through my options for longer term solutions!

Their timing and communication was wonderful. Felt very taken care of. Never unsure about process. Honest. Direct. I didn't have enough to cover the repair/replacement. They took a deposit of half to begin the work and upon completing I was offered a financing option that was simple to activate. Don't worry: I'm gonna pay it off well before the 12-month 0% introductory period. Not that you worry about me. You've got plenty of worries on your own what with your plumbing malfunctioning. So stop reading and call em already!

The job was done professionally. Nick was personable and worked promptly. The cost was exactly what the estimate given to me was. This was my 3rd job done by Goode in the last 5 weeks (all different needs), and each time I was pleased with the service provided and found it easy to talk with each of the 3 different persons assigned to do my work. I didn't file a review for the first 2 jobs, but add here that Chris and Antonio also performed the tasks to my satisfaction, were pleasant and focused, and each time the fee was the same as the estimate. However, while the cost for the toilet installation and installing a cutoff valve for an outside spigot seemed OK, but the cost for replacing a tub cartridge to regulate the hot and cold water intake seemed quite high. But overall, I have positive regard for Goode, and I would hire Goode again.

Goode is amazing! After a referral from a coworker, I called them out to assess two problems. The scheduling department was efficient and helpful in getting my information and an appointment quickly. Alex texted me right before the beginning of my appointment window asking if I was available for the visit, which I was..he came over and was polite, efficient, detailed and informative. He gave us our options and had repairs scheduled quickly.Michael came out the next morning and was super nice and efficient. He informed us of what was going on the entire time and when the repair would have taken til Monday due to an ancient part needed on an ancient toilet, he was patient with getting pics to get the right sized toilet out ASAP and returned quickly to install a new one for my elderly parents.They're both rockstars and Goode is now my preferred plumber and I will recommend them to anyone who needs it. Goode Plumbing installed a new water heater, and Brian , the technician, was a fabulous diagnostician. They are came out within 24 hours, and I am up and running like new. Ian, The technician who actually installed the water heater, along with Henry, were the best I’ve ever seen. Had I used Goode before my water heater broke, I would not have had the problems that I had. But Goode is fabulous.

Adan fixed my toilet with a much appreciated quick turnaround time and was very courteous with my landlord. While we were waiting for my landlord to sign off on the repair, he gave me some helpful tips for other random plumbing nuisances including a slow drain and subpar shower pressure. I called this company out to give me a quote to move a gas pipe over 2 INCHES, on the phone they said it would be $100 charge for them to come out. That’s no problem, I’ve become accustomed to paying for companies to come out to give quotes. However, what they failed to explain to me was that was just the fee to come out, not to actually diagnose the problem. The service guy Chip said because they had to cut a hole into my bathroom they would need to charge me $340 diagnostic fee. We explained to him that the pipe was not even over the bathroom, it was outside the bathroom and we had drop ceilings so no cuts were required and he could simply push the drop ceiling over to see inside. He said if he pushed he ceiling over it would still be $340 diagnostic fee, which made no sense because he didn’t have to cut holes into walls and it was very easy to see inside.Finally when someone from the company name Lexi asked me how my experience was, I told them I felt they needed to do a better job of explaining to customers that the $100 fee did not include diagnostic fees and I told them I was also disappointed that they would charge someone $340 just to push a drop ceiling over. Instead of them saying “Thank you for your feedback” they insisted on going back and forth with me via text message about why they felt they needed to charge me $340 because Chip told them the pipe was in the bathroom and he had to cut out my wall to see inside, even though it was not. In my opinion they will get over on people by doing more work than needed. If Google allows me to post the pictures of my drop ceiling and show the pipe was in fact not above the bathroom I will.I ended up paying a total of $400 for another company to move the pipe. With this company I would have spent $440 before they even touched the pipe

I give a 2 star for the business as their pricing didn’t make sense to me. I’m new to the area, so it took me a while to realize the mistake. Goode plumbing give you an on-site lump sum estimate. If you disagree with the estimate you can pay for the site visit and agree to disagree. So, unless you are aware of the labor/technician hours required, a rough estimate of hourly rates and the cost of the hardware you would require, you cannot understand if the estimate would make sense. That is where I did a bad job and signed up for the lump sum estimate of 1500. It turned out that my scope of work required just 2 hrs of labour and for hardware I saw online costs of some 300. I didn’t get an invoice with break up of pricing. So, I don’t recommend Goode unless you do your homework yourself on the costs. Don’t simply trust they would be fair. I must say the plumbing technician Chip was a great guy who came for installation and would recommend him if you decide to use Goode. In spite of my bad taste on the business, I gave Chip a gratuity for the values we should appreciate and spread.

They came in and were able to review and quote the job out. Within two hours their installers were here and replaced my toilet and fixed my water hammer issue.

Trevor was fantastic. He was on time, polite, listened to all my concerns, and made me feel heard. He explained everything and put me at ease. The first encounter was very good and seemed to have great customer service. I recommend this company. I will update the review when they are done with the work.

Spent 8 grand to correct plumbing pitchand replace Tub and shower traps as wellas the tub. A week later I have a huge clogand sewer water coming up through thetub and shower. They claim noresponsibility and tried to charge anothergrand to fix it. They also opened a fullsoffit which I now I have to fix when theyonly needed access to a foot of it. Somuch for the workmanship guaranty and Doing it right

Goode replaced faucet cartridges in two showers. It can be a tricky effort to get these adjusted correctly in antique faucets, and it is beyond the skill set of a handyman. Brian identified a problem in a previous installation and did an excellent job of making sure the job was done right. I am highly satisfied with Goode's service delivery and will continue to use them in the future.

Alex at Goode is hands down the best plumber I’ve ever worked with. We’ve had multiple issues over the years and met many plumbers and Alex was heads and shoulders above the rest. We’ve work with other members of the Goode team before as well (this is our second experience) and been extremely happy with their guidance, analysis, explanations and quality work across the whole team. We look forward to continue working with Goode and Alex in particular in the future.

Alex was very professional, knowledgeable of my situation and gave me two options of how to rectify my problem. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly. Goode helped us over a holiday weekend with an emergency plumbing issue that was causing major leaks into our home. They showed up within 30 minutes from our call, assessed issue and went the extra mile to ensure the repairs were completed that night as we had family staying with us for the holiday. Truly professional and quality work all around.

This service was great all around. Ian was polite and informative. Explained adjustments that needed to made to the project plan replacing and repairing pipes which were leaking from our bathtub into the basement. I will definitely refer our friends and relatives.

We signed up with Goode with a VIP account for life ($800). They come every year to do a maintenance and if you call them for service, you are VIP so you are supposed to receive same day service without extra fees.Every time they showed up, they created an endless list of 'deficiencies' the house needed (thousands of dollars). Also, they came and broke my water heater (I am glad it was under warranty with ABT).One time I called them to unclog my kitchen sink, and they did not want to set a plumber right away. When I told them I had a VIP account, they reluctantly sent a plumber who, after 20 minutes, charged me $400 (!!!!) to unclog the sink. After ONE week, the kitchen sink was clogged AGAIN! I called and told them I was very unhappy, and they sent another plumber to tell me I needed to change all the sink pipes ($1,400). Why didn't they tell me this the first time?I called the teleoperator and told her I was very unhappy with 20 minute work $400 and the problem was not resolved. She reassured me a manager would call me because customer support is very important to us. Nobody ever called me!Do not give this company your business. There are so many other choices around this area to give this overpriced, not customer friendly company your business. We never used them again, and we never will.

I utilized Goode for a few projects in my house, including a very tricky low water pressure problem. Jake was very responsive and was always willing to discuss the problems and solutions with me throughout the process. When their first solution didn’t work, they were very professional and worked with me to find a solution to the problem that took into account the work we had already paid for. When we needed to excavate the front yard to access the water main, Terry and his crew were always friendly and willing to answer my questions throughout the project. Ultimately, large plumbing projects are absolutely no fun, but Goode did everything they could to make it a smooth process and managed to solve all of our issues. Now I’m enjoying fantastic water pressure throughout the house and am very happy with their work.

Simple replacement of a kitchen sink pipe. They were on time, clean and quick. The price was over $400 which seems high, but I suppose that’s inflation.

Our kitchen sink was leaking--water all over the floor, the morning of Christmas Eve. Goode Plumbing sent someone within a few hours, earlier than predicted, who discovered and fixed the problem quickly. All we had to pay was the emergency fee, which was high, but this plumber had worked until 4 am the previous night, taken a quick nap and gone back out to fix frozen pipes and other emergencies, so I understand the size of the fee. In any case, our Christmas meals were saved!

Great experience! My water heater literally exploded water was continuously going everywhere I have no idea how long it was like that. I called Goode they told me where to turn off the water. They stated they could get a tech out the same day but since I already took a cold shower I told them the next day was fine. The plumber Chip called me first thing in the morning & said they were on the way he was very upbeat -loved that for first thing in the morning.Chip and his assistant Brendan were great!Besides being so polite, they put on shoe covers upon their arrival, Chip was informative he walked me thru the entire process of the water heater installation and what my warranty was along with it. He asked if I needed anything else while they were there so I had our basement toilet fixed (so happy we do not have to run upstairs all the time now ha) not only did they take the old water heater with them they cleaned up the work area and then some. His assistant was learning at the same time very focused and efficient.I will definitely be referring Goode out to friends/family/clients & especially my neighbors telling them to ASK FOR CHIP!He made a very stressful situation not so stressful.Shout out to the office girls they were very nice and kept me updated of the process of my appointment and followed up with a text to see if everything was ok. Had an excellent experience with Goode HVAC, as they assessed my old home for a mini-split. They were friendly, informative and answered my many questions. Their quote for the work was emailed within a couple of hours of their visit. And a very acceptable price. I look forward to their professionalism throughout the install.

Had leaky main water valve called and showed up within an hour. Very happy with service and the guys that did the work were very good and explained everything they had to do. They were very friendly .

I called early they did come out quick. But the price of $695 was to steep for a sewer rodding. Did find somebody to do it for $300.

We had a malfunctioning first-floor toilet after the heavy rain and flooding on Sunday, September 11. Goode sent a very well-qualified and helpful service person to check it out. The problem had actually resolved itself, but he explained what could have been the causes and sent us an estimate for future work if it occurred again. His stop really just took minutes yet he answered all our questions. We've had Goode in our Rolodex for years and wouldn't think of calling any other plumbing company!

I told your plumber before they scheduled this call that I do not live at this location of service any longer and they need to contact the current owners. Now, after the service call you sent me the $1800 invoice. I would suggest you get your records in order.

All was great until ejector pump cover reinstalled. Bolts were tightened on one side which misaligned the cover, so the remainder bolds did not align to the holes. One bolt remained cross threaded and 1/2” from being tightened on the cover. I offered tie wraps to contain the power cables, instead electrical tape contained the cables.

Mike K. and Jared were fantastic! Extremely thorough in their work, took their time to really explain what was happening, document everything and prepare a quote for a larger building issue. They cleaned up everything at the end and left the kitchen spotless. I really appreciate the time and care they took!

This company gouged us for the work they did installing a tub and supposedly correcting some plumbing issues we had . They charged us 8000 dollars to do this and at the time we reluctantly paid because we had trouble finding a good plumber for months. Thought we found one with Goode, but NO they will charge you double than standard rate and when we complained a week later that our toilet was clogged and sewage was coming up through the tub and shower. John Lackenmacher , the quality assurance specialist who a week ago assured that this would never happen because they would do it right, he couldn't remember anything about the job and was very defensive and more interested in blaming me about being upset than he was going to do anything about it. He kept passing buck to other people who did nothing to solve this issue but tried to swindle us for more $$$When the plumbers came to inspect the trouble they made the claim that nothing was problematic with their job. They said for another 875 they would unclog our stack of all the debris left from the construction job they did which was left in there.Their lifetime warrantee is a sham because they claim nothing is their responsibilityThey charge double what other companies charge and their work is very suspect to be incompetently completed . Do not hire Goode plumbing

Goode is a full service, highly professional, and highly knowledgeable plumber. I trust them with my home. They usually are not the cheapest option, but like folks used to say about hiring IBM, you’ll never go wrong with Goode. Most recently, Mike K came to my home to deal with an issue that an independent plumber just couldn’t handle. Not only was the issue resolved, but I was filled with confidence that it was handled the right way by his depth of knowledge and experience.

Would highly recommend Goode plumbing. Very responsive to our initial call, and after agreeing on estimate completed work the very next day. We converted to a tankless water heater, and added a sump-pump backup. The technician, Chris, was outstanding. Explained in great detail and worked a LONG day completing all the work around 8pm. We’re very happy with the work and will be using Goode for all our future plumbing needs!

We had Goode come out for an emergency plumbing backup & garage leak in our building, and Chris K. did a brilliant job locating the clog that was causing the backups and resolving it. We also have past experience with Goode and. have found them consistently professional and very clear, patient, and friendly in explaining whatever is happening and the solutions needed to address it. We also used Goode plumbing for our water heater replacement a couple of years ago and recently had someone in to look at our HVAC system -- he immediately went into a little litany of unsolicited praise for by the high quality installation they did on the water heater.

I had a really great experience working with Goode Plumbing. We discovered a gas leak in our vintage two-flat in Chicago on a Friday morning and our gas had to be shut off. Goode was the only company that assured they could get someone out to me by at least the next day. They were able to get a technician out that same day. I really appreciated their approach. Chris and Joe really took some time to examine the situation and explained everything very clearly to me which I liked a lot. No pressure or hard sell on any of the options, just a detailed assessment of my problem. I ended up opting for a large-scale project of re-piping the entire gas system for one of the apartments. Chris was on-site every day leading the project and did an exceptional job. Every aspect was well coordinated and the crew took great care in being as minimally invasive as possible and protecting both my interior walls and exterior brick. The GM Tony checked in on the project on-site which I also appreciated. The technicians at Goode Plumbing are expert and professional and they treat your house as if it was their own. Highly recommend.

Months ago we used Goode Plumbing to install a new sump pump and clear some drains so we knew who to call for several issues that had been mildly tolerable until they weren't: dripping shower faucet, new toilet install, repair of cracked sink pipe, and routing of said pipe.Called and Trevor came out next day to provide quotes. The following day Chip and Rodney came to complete the repairs. Everything was done in just a few hours and we wished we'd had them out sooner! Professional, personable, and efficient!

They are very communicative, texting and calling before appointments and answer all your questions and propose options for solutions. My building also has them on file so working with them is much easier from an association perspective. When the actual job was done Brian came by, and explained everything he did and gave me options for my next phase of remodeling.

When my workshop drain started spilling onto the floor. I called Goode Plumbing and they set up a same day service call. Mike K. and his right hand man Jared quickly evaluated the situation and cause of the back up and cleared things out from several locations in my business’ building. Once completed they took the time to thoroughly test the entire system to make sure they had accomplished the job fully, they demonstrated the successful clean out to me with a flow test and my shop floor is now clear of standing water thanks to their diligent efforts.

I personally would not hire or call this company again. The “salesman” got to my rental property and actually quoted me $450 to unclog kitchen drain. He said for the “investment” of only $450? Are you kidding me. Personally call a plumber who offers FREE estimates. I was able to call Illinois Sewer and Drain Inc. They came out later that afternoon and completed the job in less than 30 minutes for well less than half of this company’s quote. Save yourself time and money and again call Illinois sewer and drain inc.

The drain ended up opening just before they arrived. But they showed up on time, were very professional, and trustworthy. I would definitely call them again.

No surprises! How often can you say that? Since my schedule was flexible, I was actually able to receive same day service. Goode Plumbing and I communicated through out the day about my availability (needed to leave the site at one point) and the plumber's arrival time. He and I coordinated the final part of the scheduling. On the scene he was a professional. Actually was able to solve the problem in a few minutes when I had expected it was going to require an hour or more. He also took some information about some other questions I had and Goode Plumbing had an answer the following day. I won't use any other plumbing company!

Thanks to Chip from the plumbing department who recommended Goode HVAC service. I needed my air conditioning unit on top of my roof moved. Jacob and his partner did a very good job. They were professional and got the job done. They were also very friendly.

Communication was prompt, notice was given on the way, work was efficient and well installed, everyone involved professional and friendly.

During our estimate we were given no fewer than four different pieces of incorrect information. We were told that the type of drain catch we have, our best bet to unclogging our drain was power rodding it. Upon the arrival of the plumbers to do the work, we were told that this is not possible on the type of drain we have, in direct contradiction to the initial visit. They then proceeded to spend 15 minutes using a tool to blow air down our drain, which we were told costs just as much as power rodding. $600 bucks for some air. For what it's worth, these tools are available online for less than $100 bucks.We also needed to have a sewer cleanout sealed up. I told the guys doing the work specifically that this cleanout is in a bedroom closet, and to please make it as unnoticeable as possible. See the picture for what we got. Only after the work was done were we told that they bill by the job and not by the hour. It's too bad they didn't take the time to sink the ferule in properly and do the job right. Oh, and the plumbers broke one of my windows as well.

After my bathroom faucet developed a steady leak, I reached out to my regular plumber to schedule service. Because of his unavailability, I looked locally for another plumber and came across Goode Plumbing in Chicago. Their reviews were overwhelmingly positive and I liked that they have a lifetime workmanship warranty.Scheduling my initial inspection included a $60 fee, which I was not particularly happy about, but they applied it to the total quote after I chose to use them for servicing the faucet. They attempted to repair the original faucet cylinders to stop the leak but it did not do the trick. We had to call them out twice to attempt to repair the original faucet. In the end, they recommended we switch out the entire faucet hardware, which we did. They installed the new faucet quickly without up-charging me more for their service and they were clean/polite/professional. Overall, happy with the work. Would I use them again? Perhaps....Their prices are a bit higher than others and I knew this when I first requested service, as I read other reviews from users who noted the same. But they were fast/responsive and they stand behind their work. 4 out 5 stars seems fair overall. Plus, my dog didn't bark once while they were here, so that says something!

They respond to you fast but they will charge you alot. We got charged for a clogged drain for almost $500. I wanna cry. I hope we called somebody else or tried to fix it myself.

We are so happy with the service we received. Our initial call on a Sunday evening was promptly returned, an emergency visit was offered but because it wasn’t that urgent, we were scheduled for service the following day. Antonio arrived first thing Monday morning, diagnosed the problems (we had multiple), explained the issues and our options (including transparent pricing which was much appreciated) then got right to work. Service was exceptional and completed in timely fashion. Overall great service, we will definitely use them in the future, and would highly recommend.

When several other plumbers were booked over a week out for my particular job (a toilet seal replacement), Goode got me on their board in 2 days, and offered friendly, professional service. Furthermore, they kept my job on file and were able to provide additional documents for my insurance company on request several weeks later. Biggest downside is they don't offer explicit timeslots, so be prepared to be home all day on the day you schedule.

They are great, very knowledgable, had the right tools, and identified some parts, that while not failing, needed to be replaced.They absolutely wanted to be sure I had the best working solution, even if that meant an extra part soldered, spigot, or pressure release valve.Definitely the best price in addition to the extra's.

We first used Goode Plumbing two years ago, a few months after we first moved into our house. The 25-year-old hot water heater that we’d been meaning to replace but kept putting off to take care of what seemed like more urgent home repairs and improvements finally broke during our baby’s bedtime bath the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Goode Plumbing had someone out there that evening to check it out, and after determining that it wasn’t worth fixing, they installed a new one the next day. I really appreciated how quickly they were able to come out, taking care of a baby and getting ready for Thanksgiving guests coming from out of town that Tuesday would have been miserable without hot water. The technician from Goode Plumbing was very friendly and professional, and thoroughly answered all our questions.Fast forward to this February, we had to get our constantly backing-up basement drain routed for the third time since we moved in and we thought it was finally time to get the root of the problem diagnosed and fixed. After getting quotes from several plumbing companies, we decided to go with Goode Plumbing. Their price for the job was slightly higher but still competitive, we had a good previous experience with them, and unlike the other companies that came out to take a look and talk to me, the sewer specialists from Goode Plumbing put on their shoe covers before I even had to ask (I’m Asian, outside shoes inside the house really bothers me), explained everything clearly and in detail, answered all my questions, AND were not condescending or rude to me (one rival company seemed irritated that I knew nothing about plumbing and another company was pushy about wanting me to accept the quote right away and when they finally accepted that I wanted some time to think about it, told me that I should call them once I had spoken to my husband ?).They did a good job on rerouting and replacing the pipes in my basement, and went the extra mile not only when they did a stellar job cleaning up after themselves in the basement (I didn’t even feel like I needed to sweep up after them) but also when they stayed an extra hour to troubleshoot a problem with the waterflow in my kitchen faucet after a long day. They also really stand by their work—last week after a heavy rain, I noticed a sewage smell coming from the basement floor drain that they had worked on. They came out, camera’ed everything all the way out to the sewer pipes in the street, and diagnosed two problems—the first was that the concrete had settled a little too low on the pipes and pushed them out of proper alignment, causing some minor backflow, and the second was that the sewer pipe that connected to our house from the street was starting to collapse. They fixed the first problem free of charge just a few days after coming out to camera the pipes and they are working directly with the city to get the second problem inspected so that the city can fix it.TL;DR: Only good experiences with Goode Plumbing, very friendly and professional technicians who respect your home and don’t talk down to you, go the extra mile, and they take responsibility for their work and make things right if things don’t work perfectly afterwards.

Goode plumbing is a very high quality plumbing service. The two plumbers they sent to my house were very competant, professional, respectful, and they cleaned up after themselves really well. No complaints at all about the service I received.The biggest problem is cost.Goode is much more expensive then i expected. First, it's $60 for them to quote something. That $60 got applied to my bill, no problem. Then it was $480 for them to cut a hole in my ceiling to investigate a leaking AC condensate drain. Then it was another $500 for them to fix the PVC drain pipe. It ended up taking the two guys about 4.5 hours to fix it at an overall cost of just under $1,100.Through the process, they told me how much it would cost, but there were no details as to how they came up with the cost and no negotiation on the fixed price cost. To me, that's a VERY VERY expensive fix, and I won't be using them again unless it's a big job that can be quoted with very clear scope of work. Otherwise, I'd caution anyone who is trying to save money.If you need an emergency pro plumber and don't care about cost, then these are your guys.

I had my water heater drained - regular maintenance. The plumbers at Goode are real pros. They really know what they are doing.
They are not cheap, but you really get what you pay for. They are worth it.

We had several gas leaks in our house. The gas company turned the gas off, and we were anxious about not have gas for several days. Luckily Goode respond and was at our house within a couple hours. They repaired leaks in about 10 spots! Adan was our plumber. He is professional, friendly, and did high quality work.

Have used Goode Plumbing twice. In my experience, everyone has been responsive, prompt, professional, and knowledgeable.

Not really a plumbing service and more of a dispatcher that has an emergency number but not enought staff sooo... It's a good emergency number when their contractors feel they can make a buck. If you're stuck with a major issue but it's not worth the plumbers time you're basically out of luck. Keep that in mind a simple clog isn't going to get fixed with them, you need something that is major. It may be a major issue for you but you're gonna feel like it's a low priority because they're not gonna get around to it for a while.

I have used Goode in the past for various plumbing jobs. They did a good job and were reasonably priced. Overall, good experiences. However, my most recent experience was not as great.A technician came out to consult on a shower repair. He explained what needed to be done, which was consistent with what another plumber told me, and helped me pick out replacement parts - very helpful. That was a little over a week and a half ago. Since then, I have been unable to get the company to send a quote. I've received various reasons for why the company had not been able to put together a quote yet and various promises via texts to deliver a quote by EOD. I finally called to get an update and the person I spoke to was not sure who I was and was not sure with whom I had been texting. At the conclusion of that call, another promise was given to deliver a quote with 15 to 20 minutes - hour later, no quote or even an update.It seems like there is a breakdown of communication within the office. At any rate, I lost confidence in the company and ultimately reached out to another plumber. Hopefully, that experience goes better!

NEW UPDATE: Exactly one year later, this ceiling leak returned. After I posted my critical review, the owner Michael reached out to me directly, to rectify this problem. They offered two solutions, both of which took into account how much we paid for the initial work.We chose to have it corrected as part of their warranty program - at no cost to us! This was a large job that required two Plumbers, for several hours, yet it was all covered under warranty!! This was very much appreciated and I can't thank them enough for that. Also, their Manager Jake did a great job accommodating our unique situation. I still highly recommend Goode Plumbing for any large Condo Building projects.‐‐--------------We hired Goode Plumbing to fix a leak in one of our main Condo Building pipes.

Installed new tankless water heater when previous one went out. Have a complex system with boiler, holding tank, recirculator, a twisted hive of pressure tanks and pumps, and in floor radiant heat system. Got multiple quotes from other companies. Went with Goode as they seemed to have a firm grasp of my complex system and I felt they were the only one that could handle it. Chris and Joseph were extremely professional and did a bang up job. Very happy with their work. Goode will have themslves a repeat customer.

Good, professional service. Called Goode Plumbing at 8:30 am to report the problem. Crew arrived late afternoon and diagnosed the problem to be electrical. Plumber Brain said he would have to call the dispatcher and get an Electrician or the original technician who installed the water heater to come out and troubleshoot the problem. Brian said the Dispatcher would coordinate the visit, which would probably be the next day.

They came on short notice late Friday night to address a sewage backup problem. It took two trips to unclog the sewer line because they needed a more powerful rodding machine, but they didn't charge any more than the quoted upfront price. They called ahead an arrived in the expected timeframe. I most appreciated the time they took to answer my questions. One thing I didnt like was the first guy that came out didn't open the catch basin and said it was frozen, but I was able to get it open pretty easily for the second team to inspect it. Overall good and would consider using them again.

Goode plumbing sent someone out within just a little over an hour, he was able to detect the problem right away, and send for a repair person who came shortly after and repaired everything. The entire thing was done in less than a few hours on a Saturday evening.

My husband and I called to have some plumbing issues taken care of, my appointment was scheduled between 11 AM and 2 PM the plumber arrived around 11:30 AM when I walked him inside he unrolled a carpet and put on shoe covers which I was happy about because I had just re-done my floors. The plumber Jean Paul walked us through everything that needed to be done step-by-step the work was completed in a timely manner and he cleaned up everything as if he wasn’t even there.I would definitely recommend Goode Plumbing in the future for all of my plumbing needs.

I reached out to Goode Plumbing based on a personal recommendation when there was a leak under my dishwasher. They came out on a Thursday and diagnosed the problem. They sent someone the following day to fix it, but later that evening it was leaking again. Goode sent someone out the next day (a Saturday) who told me that they had misdiagnosed the problem and that someone would contact me when the office opened on Monday about a refund.I got a call the following Monday afternoon trying to schedule another technician to come out with no mention of the mistake or a refund. It’s has now been almost 7 weeks of me reaching out to try to get a redund and resolution of this, but the lack of communication from Goode Plumbing has been staggering. I was told a few weeks ago I would be receiving a $500 refund (which I have not received to date) but the person I spoke with couldn’t tell me why they were keeping over $300 and said the manager (who had already reached out to several times with no response) would have to call me. It is no surprise, I didn’t hear from the manager and haven’t heard from anyone despite reaching out to follow-up.Honestly, if Goode Plumbing had followed-up (like their plumber said they would) I wouldn’t have anything negative to say. The plumbers that came out to my residence were wonderful, but I have never dealt with a company that demonstrates such disregard for communicating with customers following a mistake that they made.

My technician, Chip, was very professional, knowledgeable, and made sure that he explained what the root causes were that affected our issues. I wish all technicians were as thorough as Chip.

Fixed an issue in 5 minutes that another company was going to charge thousands for. 10/10. I’ll be calling these guys every time something comes up!

Goode charged me nearly $1,000 for a $30 dollar part and less than an hour of work. Replacing a shower valve cartridge normally costs 1/3 of this price or less. It also did nothing to fix my problem, and turns out my original valve cartridge didn't even need to be replaced. When I called to ask why the cost was so high, I was told we have insurance costs. Every plumber has insurance, so not sure how this is an explanation for charging over triple what others do.They were also several hours late, and only showed up because I called them asking where the technician was or if they were coming.The local plumber I hired to complete the work they failed to do charged me a fraction of this price to ACTUALLY fix the problem, and told me this is a common experience Goode Plumbing customers have.

It’s best to call around and check what rates are for the work being done.The service went well and response from customer service and the technician was prompt and informative. However they over charged for the work being done (simple faucet cartridge replacement). The final charge/bill was grossly over market rates and extremely expensive. If I didn’t need the work done ASAP, Goode Plumbing would NOT have been my choice. Don’t let them take advantage of the situation via price.

This company was recommended by a friend, and after an EXTREMELY bad experience with another plumbing company, one who advertises heavily on TV (whom we will NEVER call again), we were pleasantly surprised and downright relieved to find a company that was truly a pleasure to do business with. Every employee we met, and we had several crews here due to the extensive work needing to be done over several days, was professional, respectful, courteous, and knowledgeable. The employee we ended up working most closely with, on our second plumbing project, was Jonathan D., and as far as we're concerned, he has the skills to become the assistant manager!!! We even told this to Tony, the general manager, as we were so impressed with how great his knowledge of plumbing is, and how good his people skills are. He was even able to keep ME calm during a difficult time, which is no small feat! We've never met the owner of the company, but great employees with such terrific attitudes don't just happen--that comes from great management. They are happy in their jobs, and really want to do everything possible to make sure the customer is happy with the work that is done. And we can't ask for much more than that. We started using Goode due to an emergency water leak and they have been professional and responsive ever since.

Very happy with the service provided by Goode Plumbing. For months we hot water coming from all of our cold water taps and hot water even filled our toilet. After replacing our hot water heater pump did not fix our problem (though the pump needed to be replaced badly), Chris and Joe from Goode investigated our shower to find a significant leak. This created a loop of hot water throughout the condo, giving us hot water any time we flushed or turned on the cold water. It took a while and a couple of service calls to figure out where the problem was coming from, but once the problem was located, it was fixed efficiently and cleanly. Couldn’t be happier to finally have this problem (which other plumber could not figure out) fixed. All Goode employees I dealt with on the phone and in my home were very friendly, professional and patient in answering my many questions. Pricing was fair as well.

I've used Goode plumbing for a while, but this time I am sad to say that I have been disappointed with the service. Our plumber installed a new garbage disposal, and since the garbage disposal installation, the dishwasher has stopped working.When I called Goode about this, they told me that this must be a coincidence and something else must be wrong with the dishwasher, and they did not come back to take a look - instead, they asked me to call dishwasher repair.When the dishwasher tech arrived today, he found within 5 minutes that a water line behind the dishwasher was severely bent, blocking water coming into the dishwasher. Clearly, this was done by the plumber.Goode provides very high quality service overall in my experience, but this time they failed, and this cost me over $200 of extra cost to a dishwasher technician. Will not be using them again.

I had a leaking water heater that was pretty old and needed replacement and an old home with a lot of old corroded pipes. Goode came out in the early afternoon and stayed way past 5 pm so that they could get the job done. They went above and beyond, tackling issues with our old plumbing, to make sure I had hot water that night. I will definitely use Goode Plumbing in the future.

Had Matt from Goode come out to change a shower valve cartridge.I provided the necessary parts to change it out. I paid $381.00 for a 1/2 hr job and I feel completely ripped off for this service. After researching typical costs for this type of plumbing work. The national average is $200- $300 in a high market area and typically less in other areas.Talk about taking advantage of people in need of a working shower and good plumber.If your considering Goode for a simple shower cartridge repair.Be prepared to pay above any average cost for this type of fix.

Drew did a great job! Very conscientious about the job, cleanliness and keeping us informed throughout the day on his progress.He replaced a shower cartridge, moved a pipe for a sink to another part of the mechanicals room and installed a water main shut off. The hardest part was installing the shut off valve. It had been removed and buried behind drywall, but Drew wouldn't give up until he found it. Thanks so much Drew!!

Mike was great. We wanted to close an old grease trap in our basement, and another plumber made it sound like a huge job. Mike said Goode Plumbing could do it a better way for less money, and explained everything carefully. Then he accidently found a leak with our 30 year old water heater, and was able to offer us a great price for a replacement. No upselling, straightforward assessment of our problem, showed up on time. And then our neighbor saw his van and asked if Mike could look at a problem in her house, and he went right over when he was done with us. I wish we had called Goode first.

My sink has been clogged and wouldn’t drain for awhile. I called Goode Plumbing and was very satisfied with the professionalism as well as the quick response. I told them it was not an urgent matter and within a matter of an hour or me calling a technician was here. John Paul was the name of the technician, John was professional as well as super informative. I ended up having to have something else done. John didn’t take it upon himself to just fix it and bill me for it. He brought it to me and asked how i wanted to move forward! I ended up having all the work competed and fixed within 2 hrs of making the call. I highly recommend this company and if you get John Paul, it’s an added bonus!

Warning: long review...but worth reading for any homeowner - I strongly urge against hiring Goode Plumbing for any emergency services you are needing. My experience with them was awful and I believe they engage in unethical business practices.I hired them to investigate a reported leak in multi-family building I own while I was out of town. They quoted me a base price for emergency services (& said price would go up from there) and $60 service fee which they said would be deducted if I used their services. When the plumber arrived he cut a hole in the ceiling, confirmed the leak and went upstairs to the 2nd floor unit to find the source which was a faucet accidentally left on causing kitchen sink to overflow. He turned off the faucet & said he'd have to charge $300 to rod out the clogged pipe that caused the overflow. I declined saying I'd contact my insurance company since I would have to file a claim anyway. He quoted me $271- $60 service call fee ($211). I agreed. We hung up & I thought that was the end of it.Within 10 minutes I got a frantic call from my 1st floor tenant saying the plumber gave her a very different story: he told her she was in grave danger of imminent electrical fire due to 2 inches of standing water right above her head coming in contact w electrical wiring, there was black mold all throughout the wood supports where he cut the ceiling, etc. and she should leave immediately and I should contract with Goode's partner restoration company to clean up the aforementioned problems ASAP. I was shocked bc he hadn't told me ANY of this. I called the plumber‘s cell number immediately but he declined my call. I then called Goode's main number and to my surprise he picked up. I confronted him about what had happened. He said he couldn’t talk to me bc he was very busy and all he could do was recommend Goode’s mitigation company. Then he literally hung up on me. I called right back but no answer. I then, believing my home was in imminent danger of electrical fire, evacuated my tenant to an airbnb, asked my insurance provider to send an emergency mitigation crew out to my building IMMEDIATELY and got in my car and started driving back to Chicago from Pittsburgh at midnight fearing the worst based on what the plumber told my tenant.When I arrived home at 8am after driving all night, I was told by the emergency restoration company hired by my insurance company that there was no risk of fire, no black mold, and no standing water...! Of course there WAS water damage from the sink overflowing, but nothing that put anyone in “grave danger.” He said dubious plumbing companies sometimes exaggerate dangers in order to prey on panicked home owners & get them to hire the plumbing company's own restoration companies to do very expensive & sometimes unnecessary mitigation. I was livid!! Then on top of that I saw a charge on my credit card was $331 instead of $211! I contacted Goode immediately demanding answers. The customer service rep apologized & said she would fix the credit card charge and have someone contact me immediately about the false claims made by the plumber...that was 2 weeks ago & I still haven't heard from them or received a credit for the incorrect charge.Needless to say, I would NOT recommend using this duplicitous company!

John and Jose came out to cap our gas ventless fireplace. As it was freestanding, they were able to remove the entire unit and haul it away! The gas line was easily capped and ready for our contractor to patch and replace the walls and flooring as part of our bigger remodel project. All told, it took about 2 hours. It was a delight talking to them while they worked. Goode's receptionists and schedulers were also easy to work with and efficient. So thrilled this project is done!!!

Good Local Chicago Guys! The most polite plumbers I've ever encountered. When I opened the door the plumber asked if his truck was parked properly, then asked, May I come in? Before entering the guy unrolled a small rug, steps on the rug and covers his boots with plastic booties. I was immediately at ease with this guy. After he successfully unclogged my kitchen drain he cleaned up. I never had a plumber do that. It was extremely respectful and unexpected. Goode Plumbing is now my plumbing company for life. If you are looking for the best plumbers in Chicago, give these guys a call!

We called Goode after 5 on Thursday and were surprised that they picked up. They said they would have a tech come out to provide an estimate the next day maybe around 8:30 or 9:00. As I was working from home and had calls I asked if it could’ve later in the day. I was told 4:30 or 5:00 and that they would call me when on their way. At 5:40 pm I finally received a call that they would not be able to make it...but would come the next day (Saturday) but they could not tell me when.Saturday at noonish I called to find out when the plumber would come and was told he was in my area and would be there between 1 and 2. I raced home to be there and by 3:30 when he hadn’t shown up I called and was told it would be between 4:45 and 5:00. No show and no call.Update: at 6:00 pm the gentleman called and said he’d be there in 20 minutes. My husband finally went out after waiting all day for him. This was not an insignificant job either...probably 6-10k. But how would we trust that they would perform the service in a timely manner based on our experience of just trying to get to quote.

Goode Plumbing did a great job fixing our leaking pipe. They gave an appointment window from 11AM-2PM and arrived at 11AM to my delight. Craig did an outstanding job fixing our leaking kitchen sink pipe. The new piping is even and sturdy unlike the original job done by someone else. The problem was fixed within an hour and the quality of work was excellent.

My house was in shambles. Goode plumbing was considerate, professional, and clean. Lowden, who I highly recommend you request as your service provider, took extra steps to ensure everything was clean and informed me of everything that was happening. I had to have my entire drain/vent stack replaced from basement to roof. Lowden and Goode plumbing made it as least painful as possible. They will always have my business and I will always request Lowend as my service provider.

Showed up on time, quickly troubleshooted our issues and fixed them. Checked out our plumbing system and pointed out our 15 year old water heater was nearing its end of life. We agreed to have it replaced as well and they completed everything the same day. Great job!

I pay for a VIP subscription, and so far it's paid for itself. Jean-Paul did an excellent job fixing my screaming shower (literally it screamed). He arrived before the appointed time. It was an end of day job, and even if it took a little longer, he didn't alter the quoted price at the beginning, it was also very reasonable at $215-. Both times I've had Goode plumbers come in they've been extremely polite, been careful to clean up after themselves, and always gave ideas and estimates for future improvements necessary and not, which are very helpful. I can't say enough good things, having a Goode plumber team on VIP access is indispensable for condo/single family home owners. Thank you.

I called Goode Plumbing last week and everything from the start of the phone call was excellent. When I called, the receptionist was so pleasant. Immediately, she told me she would have someone out to my house in Elk Grove Village in a few hours and that promise was true. When Brian the plumber showed up, he was professional and clean. He was honest with the quote and didn't try to upsell me. While he fixed the clogged pipes, he explained what he was doing and why. He gave us suggestions going forward too. He cleaned up the bathroom like he had found it. I highly recommend Goode Plumbing for all your plumbing needs!

We live in a 6 unit condo building - and our hot water tank died recently. It was about 15-20 years old. Mike Goode suggested a smaller energy efficient model for us - there was even a rebate on this type of tank, saving us another $1000. His price was lower than 2 other estimates we got - and the work was done quickly and efficiently. A few months later, there was a glitch in the heating of the water - Goode plumbing came right out and changed a part out - and it has been fine ever since.Great pricing - great service. I needed an emergency plumber at 3am on Sunday morning. After calling 5 other 24/7 plumbers Goode was the ONLY one that was available. Mike E was at my home in 20 min. Very nice, respectful, and professional. I had water shooting across the bathroom from toilet valve. He had water shut off in 5 min and fixed the problem quickly. If you NEED a plumber ASAP call them first.

Drew got to our house promptly after our call to Goode Plumbing. He was able to fix the difficult emergency we had quickly and even fixed my errors in my previous attempt at fixing the emergency. Would 100% recommend Goode Plumbing and Drew for anything that would come up in your house.

I had them come out to install sinks (bathroom drop-ins and kitchen sink/disposal) after a thorough visit and quoting process. Had to fix a number of issues afterward, including improper drains and seals preventing the bathroom sinks from draining. Fine, but: a couple months after the new kitchen sink and disposal were installed, the pipe suddenly pops off the wall and the disposal falls off of the sink - sink full of water all over the cabinets, flooring, and downstairs ceiling drywall (now completely replaced $$$). Only asked them to re-install properly, with or without a disposal - same as before - but they would not stand by the warranty. Instead insisted on an additional $500 for the new job since the way they installed it originally was not really up to code. Strange considering the price I paid for the work and that this was done at their recommendation.

Chicago experienced torrential rains last night, and my basement collected around six inches of it and wouldn't let it go. I didn't know where to turn. Called Goode Plumbing and, despite an incredible backlog, they sent out Drew within a few hours. Drew is exceptional in every way. He is professional, careful, kind, patient, and took the time needed to explain the issue and the solution to my problem. Honestly, Drew has converted me into a Goode Plumbing customer for life. Goode Plumbing has provided consistently excellent service and follow-up throughout the over 9 years we have lived in our new construction SFH. Diagnosing, repairing and replacing as necessary, and giving detailed instructions on how to prevent future issues/do our own maintenance where possible. Most recently, Mike T. was at our home to inspect our water heater on a Friday afternoon (which was not operating, and failed all of the tests we were comfortable running on our own). He showed us immediately upon arrival where the issues were -- including leaking in several spots, corrosion, and a broken burner. We were delighted when he offered to come the next day at no additional charge to replace it. His service Saturday was also impeccable. All in all, Mike saved us a ton of money by advising us to purchase a smaller replacement water heater (the one previously in place was far too large for our family, and would be costly to replace with one of same size), and also helped address a shortcut (one of many, unfortunately) that the builders made when constructing our home. In doing so, Mike ensured we would not have certain frustrating problems with our water going forward -- not to mention damage to our other water-dependent appliances, and a shortened life to our new water heater. Thank you Goode and thank you Mike! My family truly appreciates your commitment to your customers!

The plumbers I have met with Goode are friendly, professional, honest and efficient. I am very happy with their work and they gave me helpful advice to find the most economic solution. I will definitely use them again - not to mention I love their VW vans!

I would avoid going with these guys. They have a tendency to come in at a price way above the competition. I could understand if they were offering a premium service, but they don't. They don't even reference previous work they've done at your property when you explicitly ask them to.The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because they admitted their pricing error and offered a partial refund. But even with that, their price was WAY above average.

Had a terrible experience with one of their drivers in my community – passing on the left into traffic, behaving in a reckless manner. The owner reached out to discuss it via Yelp, but before I could even reply back he managed to get it appealed because it wasn’t a direct interaction with their business. How a vendor carries itself when working in a community – professionalism, respect, etc reflects on the broader business – and how they will treat you and your home.

I paid approximately $4000 to install a valve that would prevent water from the street entering a residential building during heavy periods of heavy rain - a back flow preventer.Not only did it fail, but the site of installation created a second source of incoming water flows.This caused thousands in damage.ResponseAddress starts with 3133 in zip 60618. When we last spoke, we discussed you coming out to review water heaters. Never heard from you again.I didn't say it was a full flood control system. It was a back flow preventer installed inside basement. $4000 also low, because you gave a discount because of the issues your installer had - he appeared to be inexperienced and struggled with installation. At one point during installation I had to call you that he wasn't leaving enough for the tile to go back in. When he was done, basement apartment needed extensive cleaning, because the work area was not sealed off and dust was every where including tenant's closet clothes.

They were able to come out the next day for something that was non-emergency and did a great job!

Best plumber ever!! Kitchen faucet stopped working Thanksgiving morning. When searching for a plumber their name came up and I recognized it from a couple years back when they replaced a toilet and injector pump in my home. Turns out owner was nearby, so he came personally and jury rigged it to last the holiday (faucet was low end Home Depot and over 15 years old so I feel confident it lived a full life!). Made replacement recs and came back to install. Highly, highly recommend!

Buyer Beware!I wanted an old kitchen sink disposal removed. I had a $500 quote from my usual plumber who has been maintaining that disposal for years. When I called Goode, they said the removal would cost $300 to $400.When they arrived at the property and took a look, they changed the price to $650. I still have to pay for the service call. This is not a good way to conduct business, and I will never seek services from Goode again.I don't believe their argument that this is a very complex procedure, given that I had a much lower quote from my usual plumbers, who are pricey themselves.

Goode Plumbing and every tech I have had work in our house knows a lot about plumbing. Every tech goes though the same process which I like and they all wear uniforms and have floor savers over their boots. They have fixed leaky faucets, replaced toilets, eliminated a concrete sink and added a new wash tub in our basement. Each service has been a great experience. The office confirms your appointment. Garen is part rock star, part surgeon and 1 more part circus contortionist. He fixed a pipe that seemed totally inaccessible without real destruction, through a hole I couldn't even get my hand through. It was amazing to see and my house is better off after his work. Highly recommended.

Every time that I’ve had servicemen come out from Goode, they’ve been very courteous and done very good work. Very pleased.

After torrential rains, we ended up with some water in the basement. Goode came out quickly -- same day that I called -- and Drew rodded out the sewer line. This helped some, but after video review of the sewer line, before and after , the real issue was revealed to be an abundance of silt collecting in low spots , something that no amount of rodding was going to cure. Rodding just stirs it up, the silt resettles and the drain line ends up constricted. Drew suggested hydro-jetting the line, and pumping excess silt out of the catch basin. This sounded like a good plan and Drew was able to line up all the pieces -- the jet and pump trucks, the crews, etc - for the next morning -- Saturday, even though the office initially said it would have to wait until Monday. Saturday first thing, the guys were back and we got it all done. A good thing too, since another torrential downpour occurred on Sunday !! Though the streets looked like we would need an Ark, our basement did not flood. The cleaned out sewer line flowed like a champ and did not back up. I commend Drew for making the extra effort to expedite getting the work done. Many thanks!

He showed up the day of the insane storm in Chicago. He was prompt and professional and we were so glad he made it out that day.

Prompt service, pleasant service individual, but $466 later, after rodding bathtub drain (all plumbing new just 5 years ago, bathtub not often used), the tub still didn't drain, as I found a week later. Turned out the problem was the drain plug (which I discovered and replaced myself) . It would have been appreciated if it had been mentioned that this was a possibility before we did the rodding. I suspect the rodding was not necessary but will never know at this point. The company backed their work when I called to mention that removing and replacing the drain plug fixed the problem.

They came out to connect three compression fitting to tub faucet which I supplied the faucet. This would take max of hour. They quoted me $627.00, Ridiculous! keep in mind they supply zero supplies. I refused the offer but because they came out to house they charged me $60 for rip off quote.

This is the second toilet installation we’ve had done (different bathrooms). The staff is very professional and accommodating; he already had shoe covers on and offered to wear a mask when he saw I wore one. The work was completed quickly and the area was left clean. Recommend to others.

I woke up to the water flinging around the kitchen when the garbage disposal was clogged, they not only took my call but fit me in same day, I am a member as a result of their awesome service, I originally hired them to do a job I was told couldnt be done and well, they put that to rest, I use them over and over again.

Bidet installation

Came out same day, was able to get my water turned back on and the leak stopped for the afternoon and explained the situation and how to move forward. Came back first thing in the morning and repaired the outdoor spigot in only about a half hour. Also talked through some other projects that we might be able to tackle together. Recommend.

John was amazing! Yes he wore shoe coverings. He looked at my water heater and tried to restart it and it did! He explained what was happening and what to expect as it may not stay lit. He told me what his thoughts were for what I needed and when I asked about a tankless he explained what needed to be done and why it would not be a good option for me due to the venting. He sent me a quote on replacing it but did not push the issue. He said my information would be on file and if I am ready to move forward all I needed to do was call and they would be there that afternoon. He was kind, professional and very detailed. I'm so happy I made this call today!!! I found a gem and have already told my neighbors that it doesn't have to cost $150+ for someone to tell you what's wrong! They normally have a much lower dispatch fee but it was waived for me! Thank you!!!! He set my mind at ease and even told me financing could be available.
