Late night clogged drain. We were exhausted when we called at 9pm. The company quoted a window of 10pm to 11:30 pm - and our technician showed up and fixed the clogged drain in that timeframe. The company texted a picture of the technician in advance, the technician was quiet (it was late), he was considerate, explained our options and the entire experience was very professional. One of us (obviously not me) actually slept through the visit.

I don't often write reviews, but I'm obligated after my recent experience. A few weeks ago I contacted several plumbers to fix a leak and 24/7 Rooter & Plumbing was the first to respond. The technician arrived quickly after my initial call and recommended I spend $2,000 to remove the toilet/sink then cut a large hole in my wall to look for the issue. I called another plumber for a second opinion and they quickly realized the leak was from the fridge on the other side of the wall - costing less than $500.

Funny thing is, a neighbor called 24/7 Rooter & Plumbing a few days later for a separate plumbing issue and they recommended the same thing! We need to cut a hole in your wall to figure out the problem. Turns out my neighbor just needed a small part from the hardware store. If you want to save time a money I suggest looking elsewhere!

Excellent - timely, professional

After a failed attempt at fixing the blockage in the kitchen sink myself and in the process destroying the p trap I decided to call a plumber. I did some research and these 24/7 Plumbing had good reviews so I thought I would give them a call. They sent out John who showed up far earlier than expected which was great because I told them I wanted it fixed ASAP. He did an excellent job at diagnosing and explaining the entire problem and showed me the different solutions. I signed off on the estimate which was within my budget and comes with a 30 day guarantee. John got straight to work and quickly had my sink fixed and flowing again. He was very professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable explaining every step of the process and working very quickly and efficiently. I am very glad I called these guys and would strongly recommend them to anyone else who needs a plumber.

Showed up, took one look and quoted close to $500 just to run a snake.

I asked if he would check the p-trap. He said he stuck his hand in and could feel a hole in it. How did he manage that? Then he quoted an additional close to $300 to replace said $3 piece of piping.

Why didn't I push back on the invoice at the moment I was asked to give my credit card you ask? I didn't want to make a scene in front of my invalid mother and her caretaker. To the latter, $325 would be 16 HOURS+ of my caregiver's wages if she needed to address the same issue. No wonder folks are fleeing SF to more affordable places.

SCAM! I had a very simple bidet installation. The bidet was perfectly fine just needed help with installing it on to the outlet. There is absolutely no transparency with this company. The plumbers charged me 200 DOLLARS FOR A 5 MINUTE JOB! JUST STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Extremely high pricing. Wanted almost $2k to replace a washer hookup with a stuck valve. $750 of that was just to put the washer back and test it. Another $750 of that was to wait about an hour for the water to drain from the pipes. Wanted almost $300 to replace a water filter. And didn't show up on the day of appointment, was 27 hours later. Kept misstating when the plumber would arrive. Avoid, there are no free estimates, it costs you $85 just to have them show up at your door.

I called to make an appointment and received a window time between 3-5PM that the technician would be arriving. I received a call at 4 PM and the technician was stuck at another job and begged if he could show up first thing the next morning between 8-10AM. As a courtesy, I said yes. The next morning at 8:15 AM, I received a call that the technician would not be showing up and there was no one available to do the job that I needed to be done. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND A WASTE OF TIME. Call Starboy Plumbing instead. They are professional and courteous.

The hot water heater was suddenly leaking water and I called them for an emergency fix at night. The reception lady was nice. however I waited for more than 2 hours. Technician Mike D came and did not do a single diagnose or a fix but rudely opened the front wrapper and said the hot water heater is old and it must leak water somewhere else. He simply wanted to replace the hot water heater and water valve for over $3100 and asked me if I would like to proceed. Of course not. He charged $85 dispatch fee and left. I felt it was a total waste time in such an emergency situation. I found another technician who replaced the TMP valve in a few minutes. Hot water heater works as expected!

Extremely friendly folks - highly skilled labor. Pro tip: buy the hardware yourself to avoid a %500 markup and they’ll still come by and install at a reasonable labor rate. Don’t accept their hardware included cost, ask them what is needed and save yourself hundreds of dollars, they’ll come right back and do an expert job.

My technician was professional and courteous. He accessed the problem and resolved it swiftly. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again.

Appt was at 8pm and Mike D called around 630 saying he could come early. Of course we said yes! Fixed our sink pretty quickly- found something blocking the spout. 😵‍💫 all he did was unscrew to faucet head. lol cost me $189.00 for that. But not his fault. I agreed to the cost before he started looking. Anyway, he fixed the water pressure too!

I had a clogged shower drain and Mike was able to come within 2 hours to come and fix the problem. He communicated everything he was doing and gave me my options clearly. Mike fixed the clog quickly and I would definitely call him again if I need plumbing assistance in the future!

Showed up during time period specified, friendly, helpful, fixed the clogged toilet, showed us what type of plunger works better, and so grateful someone was available to help at 10pm on a Friday night!

They came out for a leaking sink and gave me an estimate that included a $350 emergency inspection of my hot water heater and $900 for the sink. I called another plumber, who fixed the sink for $300 and said the other issue was bogus. Then I called their office 3 times to get an explanation and refund for the $65 house call since it was bogus - their secretary promised a response within 48 hours each time, but no one actually bothered calling me back. This is basically fraud, given how egregiously overpriced and unresponsive the company is.

Drains were severely clogged with diapers and wipes from tenants. 24/7 Router came to our rescue and kept snaking the drain until they were fully cleaned out. Refused to give up until it was clear. The cost seemed fair for the services. They had availability the same day as well as the next. I already had surmised the issue but John described it clearly and sent pictures after it was completed. I had first used them on a Thanksgiving and was surprised when they arrived an hour later. This is the third time and the quality has been consistent.

It’s still leaking after plumber left. Unbelievable. I have to now hire another plumber.

He changed a faucet and p-trap but not the leaking pipe. But he billed me for all three items.

I was driving through the mountains and lost signal, bad cellphone reception. I told him that and I would be out within 2 hours. He then asked my tenant for payment. I had approved the job and authorized to pay for it.

Now that pipe that has a leak still needs to be replaced. I won’t be using them again.

Had a clogged toilet after hours. Edgar showed up within 30 min of calling, checked for possible problems and fixed the issue. He made sure we were ok with the estimate and was very professional. Would call again for plumbing problems

The plumber that showed up to our work did not know what he was doing.

We had dripping downstairs. When the plumber showed up, without carefully examining upstairs, started opening ceiling downstairs. No source of leak visible. Then tried to move dishwasher. He did not know how (reminder: he is supposedly a plumber). He suspected another wall upstairs and opened it. No leak. Tried to pull the DW out. He couldn't. Opened the third wall. Nothing. I, worried about my property and DW, frantically read the DW manual and told him about the screw. Finally he pulled out the DW. THERE WAS NO PIPE PROBLEM. DW could not drain because of food stuck in sink disposer so t it let water out. As soon as we ran disposer, problem solved! He blamed DW. GE official mechanic confirmed on site there is no problem with DW.

After following up with the company multiple times, no reimbursement of about $270 fee or compensation for the damages to apartment.

First, let me be clear Juan and his partner did excellent work, however even with my email and having called 24-7 about the issue no reciept for the job has been forthcoming. This failure on the part of either or both the software or management is an issue affecting my rating.

These people should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. A 50 gallon water heater only costs about 500-600 dollars. They quoted over $3000 to install and dispose of an existing water heater. No one should ever pay that much. Do not use them. They are obviously taking advantage of people.
They charge $65 dollars to come out and inspect and put you on the hook for the $65 bucks then give a quote for a service they know that no one in their right mind would pay for.

Edgar showed up before the scheduled window, which was highly appreciated due to dealing with a catastrophic flooding issue

After exhausting all resources, instead of saying it was out of his league, we brainstormed, and figured out that it was an issue with our contractors

Instead of leaving me on my own, he helped shovel mud and slop to examine the pipes until we figured out what the issue was, all on New Years Eve

When other “emergency” plumbing services could get to me for more than 24-hours, these guys showed up in 90 minutes on a Sunday morning. Sean was able to diagnose the problem, gave me several options of how to fix it, was pleasant, professional, and cleaned up after himself. Now my drain is fixed and my sink is no longer leaking and I don’t have to take the day off from work!

My shower was clogged and I didn't want to wait for my apartment maintenance to fix it because they never get back to me. 490 to unclog the shower. Then I was told they have to bring the bigger machine in to unclog the sink. Yeah it was pretty clogged hair but 720$?! To unclog two drains. The job didn't take long I didn't think anything of the price because I was desperate and I've had alot of ppl tell me ( some used to work for plumbing company. . That the job shouldn't have been more then 350. Just depressing 720$ . .

They quoted 1 hour to arrive and the war within the hour fast and efficient got the job done.

Not cheap, but did a good job and were prepared to correct any mistakes they made. Sean was good and appeared committed to doing a good job. Also responsive - they got someone out quickly and within the window they booked with me.

I had attempted to clean the mixing chamber of my shower on my own, but got in over my head and had to call in a professional to put it back together. David arrived punctually and on short notice. I was quoted $600 for a 45 min job, which seems high but I really just needed to have it done and didn't want to bring other plumbers in for quotes during a pandemic. When David was finished the faucet handle was put back in place and functional, but no longer produces hot water. It gets luke warm at best. I asked him about it and he mumbled something about how the water heater must be getting old because what he did should have no affect on the temperature. I find this suspicious because I've never had an issue with the water temperature here, and up until that morning the tub/shower could produce nearly scalding water at the top of the temperature range. Now it barely gets warm, and is producing water that is much cooler than all the other fixtures in the house. David was on time and polite but I feel I paid a lot of money (and perhaps was overcharged?) for diminished function and unsatisfactory results.

David came from this business to replace a gas water heater in the basement of a 90 year old home. Very difficult job. In 3.5 hour he purchased the new water heater 40 gal gas Rheem, 19 inches wide to fit through a 19.5 inch space, unpacked it, pumped the flooded basement water out, carrying the buckets of water upstairs to be discarded, Second man, Sonic, arrived and helped. David had already carried out the old gas water heater, but together they carried the new one down and maneuvered it by the 1929 gas furnace and the wall, set it up. Then explained everything, turned it on, ANd we had hot water!! Competent, skilled, efficient, friendly, work and good instructions and explanation. Hope I don't have to call again but David as the lead on the job, was superb and his helped SOnic also worked very hard. thanks guys.

My usual plumber service. Shows up on time and provides good service.

They charged me $1360 for cleaning a swere line with hydro jet. I only checked the receipt after they left and noticed there were 2 charges for services they did not perform. I called them twice to ask them to fix it, both times the operator said the manager will call me back but no one did! In addition to the two extra charges, the fee for hydro jet was $800 which is $300 more than the regular price for that service!

Sean did a fantastic job for me. Removing my old disposal required a lot of hard work. I would definitely recommend him!

They do a good job and are very prompt but are about 3x as expensive as anyone else. If you don't have an emergency don't use them.

They charge $85 to just come out and then give you a ridiculous price. They will then start haggling with you rather than just leave. You have to talk to them manager like 3 times. It's like buying a used car.

I had a broken water heater hose and could not shut the water off. I was able to patch the hose to a moderate leak but needed help really fast. The response time was RIDICULOUS!!! Absolute price gouging. Shocking how scummy this industry can be. CALL SOMEONE ELSE!

I would highly recommend 24/7 Rooter & Plumbing! My tenant moved out and left me with overflowing drains, blocked sinks and a destroyed garbage disposal in the kitchen. I was desperate for help and chose 24/7 basically at random.

They were excellent, every step of the way. I got to talk to a helpful person on the phone and they dispatched a skilled and professional plumber right away. Rommel quickly diagnosed the issue and offered solutions that would save time and money. He was on time, worked fast and cleaned up when he was done. He even took several bags of trash for me!Bless his heart - Rommel was a lifesaver.

The dispatcher followed up with me to make sure everything went well. Thank you 24/7!. You're the best!

Would not recommend - This company dispatched a technicians to our site to help out with a cut water supply line. Upon arrival the technician first said they didn't have the materials to complete the job. Then after checking with dispatch why a technician with no materials would be sent out to us - they changed their excuse and said the technician didn't have the correct tools to complete the work.

We were told it would take 2 hours to go get the correct tools and return to complete the job - nonetheless, we agreed but 20 minutes later they called & said they didn't even have the correct tools to repair the cut pipe.

Very unprofessional. For a 24/7 company they are very unprepared for any emergency.

My shower drain was badly clogged. Rommel at 24/7 had to come three times to fix it but fix it he did. Great customer service, excellent availability, and peace of mind, 24/7 can count on me as customer because I can count on them.

Came on a Sunday afternoon and took care of my issue right away. Not only that, but I learned a lot. Thought the price was a bit much so 4 stars it is.

These guys come in, look at the situation, explain what they are going to do and give an estimate. They are efficient, friendly, and completely professional. It may cost a little more, but I called and they were there within two hours. This is not my first experience with them - all have been stellar

Did a great job but could have come down on price a little.

The work quality was ok. It took longer than it should have given it was just shower head installation. To be fair it was a bit tricky job but that's why I hired a professional and not a cheap one either. At that price I expected them to carry washer and Teflon tape, they had neither. I had to provide the tape because there was a bit of leak after the first installation. As I said it was ok, a bit pricy but definitely not 5 star.

Super quick and friendly, a little pricey but I am fine with that for plumbing issues since so much can go wrong.

This was terrible experience. Will not use again. I do not recommend. The technician came timely which is why the one star.

But he went to wrong house; then he gave me a random estimate to unclog drain with 1 second visual look at an empty tub with no explanation of what he was doing; then he came out to collect the fee saying there was no hair balls but the tenant had given him a diverter to replace (saying it had been broken before) and he replaced it which make the tub drain normal.

When I went into the bathroom to inspect, the pipe was full open and exposed with the new unfitting diverter too long for the fixtures. All he repeatedly said was that's not my fault; the diverter thing is not my job that he is a drain guy. I will now have to call a real plumber to fix this.

If you are considering using this company for plumbing services, I highly suggest you call around and use a different service. There are so many wonderful reputable plumbers in the city which are honest and transparent about cost. My tenant called 24/7 plumbing when PG&E shut off his gas due to a gas leak detected by the neighbor that appeared to be coming from my condo where my tenant lives. My tenant’s assistant (who was there to let the plumber in) called me to tell me that they detected the leak in the external pipes to the building and would replace those pipes. The cost was shockingly high but since I was in meetings for work all day, there was no way for me to call around and my tenant was without hot water, heat, and a stove. So I figured I would just suck it up and pay it since that would be the end of it. After about an hour or so I received a call from my tenant’s assistant again that they had finished replacing the external pipes but that they detected there was still a leak and that they would need to just start tearing open the ceiling and replacing the pipe until the resolved the leak. The cost would be the same as they had already charged me for every so many feet (I can’t remember 10 or 20 feet?) which would result in a total cost of about 10k-20k. At that point I obviously started calling around to get other estimates since that was well outside of my price range. At the same time I told them that this price was way too high for me, is there any leeway on the cost. The plumber told me when I have to talk to Kay in the office since she sets the price, so I called Kay and she told me that she would have to talk to the plumber since he sets the price and at that point I felt quite nervous that I was being taken advantage of (and honestly a bit foolish for not calling around to begin with). After talked to about 5-6 other plumbers I realized that I was grossly overcharged (one plumber told that that it was “highway robbery”). Unfortunately none of the other plumbers were available but I finally got a recommendation from one particularly helpful plumber for the company that I ended up using to actually fix the leak. The company I ultimately used told me that they were not the cheapest company but would make sure they were completely transparent about cost, etc. Well, they did the entire job in a very small fraction of the cost!! And they had a leak detection specialist come out to pin point the leak so that they could minimize the damage and cost. So I called 24/7 plumbing back to let them know the estimate from the company that did the work (who, as mentioned earlier, are not the least expensive company) and told Kay that I can pay the amount that the other company would have changed (less than half the cost) but I couldn’t in good conscience pay the over the top amount originally quoted and shared with her my frustrations and concerns. Instead of trying to really hear my concerns and frustrations, she just repeated over and over again that I had to pay that price period. I sent a check for the amount I was willing to pay (no small amount to be sure) and the next day I received a certified letter that that my account was past due (it had been maybe a few days total) and that if I didn’t pay within a few days I would be sent to a collection agency and a mechanic lien would be place on my property. Then Kay called me laughing at the letter I sent where I expressed my frustration and asked for contact information for a supervisor and she told me that there is no supervisor, only her. (Indeed she let me know that she and the entire office was laughing over my letter). I asked for a corporate office number she said nope, it’s just me. So, I paid the balance. Needless to say, I will not be using 24/7 services again. I hope this review is helpful to others so that they can avoid a similar situation.

Called their number at 12:03pm to schedule a a service, a plumber called to confirm at 12:07pm, tech texted me his gps location at 12:10pm, arrived at 12:20pm and was out by 1pm. Problem solved within the hour. Def would recommend this place again.

He was a nice guy and did a good job. However, I miss understood the price( which I think is extraordinary) you need to give some sort of a baseline price over the phone. I will definitely shop next time. $487.50 is crazy for 30 minutes work. I'm a retired GC and tell you I never had a sub that would get away with trying to charge that much. At these rates I won't be recommending you. Regards
