Our representative Robert did a great job explaining all the options and after a little bit of research, we went with Solar Nation.

Horrible, horrible customer service. I am still receiving bills from APS. No one returns my calls. Both of the sales representatives that sold us solar no longer work for the company. I am at a loss. I am paying more for energy before solar. Horrible company. Do not sign up with them.
I have attempted to contact the company on numerous occassions. Not one return phone call. Below response from the company says to call, but who do you call? Also, they say they cannot find our contract. Did they think to look us up by last name? Our contract is under Paul Hooks.

Communication is very poor. I've had my system up and running since August, at best the only savings I see has been 16 dollars and 21 dollars. It is simple really. The story they sold me was not the reality of their system. They explained I would get x amount of energy from the system i purchased. I am nowhere near that. Got a $1.xx credit last month with a electric bill still $110~. Second, they explained, they would monitor my system and investigate if it produces below a certain amount. It did. Heard nothing from them. Upon me calling multiple times. I got one of them to say yes, your system is not producing like we said. Does me no good as it is nearly impossible to find someone to help you there. Apparently, the only way they will inquire on your system is if it produces nothing. ZERO STARS. I would rather flush money down the toilet than do business with them.

Like I said, its simple. Don't do business here. You want solar. Go elsewhere.

My panels have been installed and running for about a month now. So far, everything seems to be going to plan. It is summer here in AZ, so my panels, as expected, are not producing my current usage but it gives me confidence the system will produce enough energy to cover my energy costs annually. Thor, my sales 'gent' has been awesome throughout the process. Answering all my questions via text or phone calls and i have had many questions. Many questions. Haha. Installation went smoothly and they took care of everything as promised. Christine, was also amazing in responding to my email request for updates and/or further clarification. As of this moment, I recommend USA Solar Nation. If that changes, I will provide an update at that time but if all continues as expected I won't be regretting choosing Solar Nation for my solar needs.

This company lied to me about getting rid of my APS payment and that I would only be responsible for my solar panel payment. So tell me why the last 2 months I was sent a bill from APS AND my solar panels. Why would they lie to me? To gain a sell? On top of was told I was have a tax credit for getting solar panels with the company and that was a lie also! Horrible company that false promises just for a sell!! Worst solar company around.

This company is great. The customer service was beyond amazing and Alec went out of his way to provide us with the best rate and warranties. Solar nation purposely lies to clients about how the tax credit works when people switch to solar, and saying we're not going to pay electricity charges with SRP. Both lies and I think they train their representatives to push these and other false narrative towards customers. The representative that came to my house was communicating via text message with his boss on the proposal his boss built, the representative told me he was new and only been with solar nation for about 2 months. I have yet not seen an electric bill that is 0 like they promised. My name is Crisoforo Barcenas and I only speak Spanish and had me sign documents that were in English and couldn't understand what I was signing. I'm using a friend to type this for me in English. I had my system installed late 2020. Carlos Valera talked to me on the phone on the day I signed the documents telling me I was going to get a check in a form of a tax credit from government when I filed my taxes and that was a lie. I later found out how that tax incentive works. Alec Maranto sent me the documents for me to sign and he is the one that built the proposal and told his representative to tell me innacurate information via text message saying it was over 100 percent coverage for my electricity when it was not.

Ok, I will post this on the AEPros review page then. With the modified comments that finally, things are being rectified - after I left the current review.

Below is the 5 star review that I posted months ago. The only star I give is during that honeymoon period. I have photographs, I have text messages and I have emails. My debt to them is paid off already! And after all these months, I have a circuit that hasn't been connected, I have broken concrete pathway with AEPros cones on either side and I have some very sloppy work when installing the copper earth wire. It's bad enough that assured me the copper wire would be painted the same color as the outdoor paint. I'm going to BBB and 5 on your side with this. Oh, and I know both companies are connected. So disgusted.

Like many of you, I was constantly spammed with Solar offers. My salesperson posted on a Facebook group we share, that he was happy to come and talk to anyone in the group who wanted to know more about solar. After he and his colleague had finished talking, I felt very comfortable to sign up. It's been a great experience. Solar Nation project manage everything from inspection and measuring the roof, through getting finance for the project, to designing, organizing permitting and coordination with SRP. The installation team was also super. Friendly, efficient and helpful. I am very excited about this new acquisition and know it will be a tremendous selling point if and when I sell, it will save on my bills and it's the right thing for the planet.

My husband I had just moved into our new home this past summer, and when we recieved the first few SRP , we were shocked! We wanted to look into getting solar, but didn't know where to start. Luckily, Charles knocked on our door one evening and educated us on the pros of going Solar. He was thorough in his explanation and very patient in answering all of our questions (we had a lot!) Terrible experience sales lied about what I’d be paying for my solar and utility bills I’m still paying Srp over $250 a month plus my solar which is $180. I’m paying more now than what I was before it! And no one’s answering my calls

Mixed feelings about this company. customer service started off good but after finishing with our rep Mike communication dropped off had repeatedly asked them to contact me instead of my husband because his job does not allow him to carry his phone and it took forever for them to finally do so. Also have been trying to reach our rep Mike over the past few days and he has not responded yet. Have also tried calling solar nation and no one has picked up.

This place is a nightmare no communication what so ever after signing they promise you the world and dont keep their word I was promised a $500 gift card a nest thermostat and bird netting also a 35 panel system and only received 31 panels tried to back out on gift card haven't received my nest thermostat and bird netting wasnt installed I message and call sales representative alec and no reply or answer also they promise a $750 referral fee and the person that referred me has yet to receive anything any sales rep alec fails to reply to him aswell.

I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews but due to my experience working here, I feel obligated to speak the truth on a few matters:

1. This company accepts dishonesty. The attitude is to get the sale and fix it later even though they do not follow through with the fix it later portion. This is a huge reason why I had to stop working for the company because it doesn't align with my own integrity or the definition of good business. The sales reps are not allowed to design systems themselves and are often unknowingly communicating incorrect and misleading information to clients. IE. system sizes that are too small.

2. Communication is horrendous. Communication between management to the reps and most importantly communication from the company to its clients are beyond bad. Many of my clients still reach out to me because the office phone goes directly to voicemail every time. This is so persistent that in the weeks after leaving Solar Nation, I have received an average of 4 calls per week from my clients with this exact complaint. Whats worse is when they finally get frustrated enough to leave a review about their experience this is how Solar Nation responds: Hello ______ We can't seem to find you as one of our customers. Maybe you had a bad experience with one of our competitors. -or- Thank you for your review. Unfortunately we can't seem to find you as a customer in our database. I can assure you that these are real clients and that the company is just avoiding accountability.

3. From the standpoint of a former employee to potential future employees, you will be overworked, underpaid and if you decide to leave the toxic work environment, they will come up with a slew of clawbacks from your backend pay so that they can keep your hard earned money. The bait of future promotions and equity in the company will be dangled to motivate you regularly. I ignored many red flags during the 9 months I worked there and I regret not listening to my gut from the beginning. They will extract everything they can from you.

All in all, I would recommend doing business with another solar company that truly prioritizes the clients & employees. There are good people who run good companies out here, but unfortunately this is not one of them.

*EDIT: This is a fair and honest review.. I am a former employer with a W-9 to prove it. There are also in fact photographs of me on the Solar Nation Instagram with the owner. The fact that you blatantly are lying on Google shows that my fair and honest review further proves my opinon and point. Been 2 years since I went with Solar Nation, if you wanna be lied told and sold an expensive underperforming system I’d highly recommend them. One of the worst decisions ever made and I’m stuck on a 25 year loan.

Update they called me Harassing me to take down review. Weird how if I’m not a client they’d have my information?

In the fall of 2022, my wife and I contracted with Solar Nation to install solar panels upon our residence. There were a number of promises that were made by Solar Nation: namely that this would reduce our cost of electricity, that they would spend the first six months after installation reviewing the efficiency of the system, that they would put up bird netting around all of the panels, and that they would reimburse us for the first six months of payments and installation of the new system. It is now six months after the installation of our system, we have received only one reimbursement check there are five more that we are anticipating and the cost for our electricity actually increased. Virtually none of the promises made by solar nation have been honored. The salesperson who we worked with and relied on for our decision to work with Solar Nation has left the firm: he now works for AZ Energy Pros (the installation company that did the installations for Solar Nation). His stated reason for leaving: the owners Solar Nation would not honor their commitments. At this point, between my wife and I trying to call them, we have probably left no less than 8 voicemails for Solar Nation and have yet to receive a call back from them. Their inability to complete any of their promises leads me to believe that the owners of this firm: Alec and Leandra Maranto, are not only unresponsive but also unreliable. This combination makes Solar Nation one of the companies that makes people distrust any of their claims and promises.

Update: I left 3 voicemail messages each for Alec Maranto (Owner), Leandra Maranto (co-owner) and Anthony Maranto (brother and admin at the company). No one ever picks up, no one returns the calls, no one answers messages left on the main toll free number as well.

Check your damn voicemail if you want to address this.

I can't say enough about Solar Nation! The process was amazing, and the sales rep was very knowledgeable he answered every question and broke down the entire process including having our roof replaced in the deal. If you're considering solar I highly recommend Solar Nation.
