Fast and very professional. Amazing there is still a service company that does what they promise. Every time estimate was completed exactly on time or before. (Initial estimate for repair, schedules for delivery of replacement unit and completion of service.) They replaced my outdated ac system in a single day once the duct work was manufactured. They cared greatly about my comfort and even provided a portable ac unit. Everyone I dealt with was polite, knowledgeable, and kind. They showed me video, answered every question I had, and NEVER talked down to me. The quality of their product is outstanding. The system is whisper quiet and my bedroom went from 94 to 71 degrees in 10 hours. Penguin Air and Plumbing is an exceptional company in all aspects of business. Having your ac go out in the summer in Phx is no picnic, but the entire team at Penguin made it as painless as possible. I will not hesitate to use them again for any needed repairs in ac or plumbing. Great job everyone, many thanks.
Although they are very friendly, they fail at communicating and being punctual. My ac went out end of August on the hottest day and i had a 12 month at the time. Long story short, they installed the wrong ac unit and it needed to be swapped out, once again, never met their ETA (not even once). After they installed the correct unit they needed to come back a different day to install the exhaust pipe to our heater-- apparently noone tested it because it doesn't even work. Today i was told we would see a tech late morning-- its now 1pm and we've had to reach out to dispatch to track down the person coming to my house.. this will be the fifth time they are coming out due to their mistakes. I understand they are busy, but the least they could do is keep the customer informed whether they are coming or not. Wish i shopped elsewhere.

Sean immediately determined the problem and went beyond what was expected to fix it and explain the details of the system of the home we recently purchased. We were very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism.
Our AC stopped cooling and the tech was at our house in what couldn't have been more than 30 minutes. Lightning fast. Jimmy was very friendly and polite and explained what he found out and what our options were; and laid out the prices for us without any of the extra BS a lot of companies try to push on you. We appreciated his honesty and that he didn't try to pressure us into things we couldn't afford. Once we decided we could only afford to do the bare minimum he threw in a 6 month maintenance plan just to sweeten the deal a little. It's nice to finally have a good experience with an AC company. Will definitely use again.

I highly recommend penguin plumbing. They were efficient and they were friendly they kept me updated as to when the plumber would be out here. they even sent a picture ahead of time so I would know who the plumber was with a little bio on how long he been with the company. I really like that. Victor was my first point of contact and he was super friendly and very helpful I probably would have shopped around more if it hadn't been for him. And Chad was quick and efficient once he got to the house. Great customer service

Do not use this company. My original estimate was 2,400 to have a car charger outlet and 50 amp breaker ran to my garage. He spent 40 min on my property to give estimate so he did ALL his due diligence before giving estimate. Now he’s decided to continue job after first starting it …he will be charging at least 6,000 dollars. Says he has to run a whole new conduit from breaker. My gosh my property is not that large. I’ve had this done couple years ago at previous house that was double this size property and they didn’t have nerve to charge this kind of money. 6,000!!!!!!! This company is crooked. Stay away. They will come up with excuses but it’s just to rip you off. I called and a manager wouldn’t even get on phone. Woman that answers phone said there are no managers to talk to and they cancelled the job. Worst business I’ve dealt with in my life. You know a business is crooked when there’s no manager or owner to discuss problems !!!

I highly recommend Penguin Air! & Plumbing! We had been working with another company for 3 days and that company could not/would not fix our air conditioner without us paying an astronomical amount of money. We called Penguin and they were so friendly and professional. They responded quickly and had the air conditioner working in a couple of hours for a reasonable cost. Yassie Hernandez was terrific. She was open and communicated well around issues needing resolution. She went above and beyond today. Although she was unable to resolve a log-standing issue that Penguin Air was and is aware of regarding cooling in certain sections of our home.
My preference would be to have her be our assigned technician. She is great! and a valuable asset for your organization.

Incompetent, predatory buisness practices, I would not recommend this company,
I am not surprised by your response the air conditioner that you are referring too was the original that was put in the home when it was built in 1996!! So how is this relevant?? A replacement/upgrade in an air conditioner...a new system is a new system...Am I correct?? Or does your company only work outside?? We also purchased warranty on the old system and new system; so how is this going above and beyond what is expected of every other AC Co./ Installers?? From your web site it states Veteran led?? You should remove that! My husband served 23 years in the Marines, medically retired 100% with combat related disabilities and this is how you treat your customers!! Shame on you for trying to capitalize by promoting that you are Veteran led..disgusting!! I have never dealt with such incompetence from a company. Any and all prospective customers beware.

I called this firm for the first time based on their reviews and ratings. I set an appointment two weeks in advance. We, as customers, begrudgingly agree to the time range for the appointment. In my case, it was a three hour window; from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. I made sure to clear my busy schedule for this timeframe. At 1:30 pm on the day of the appointment no one had called; so I called them. They stated that the technician got stuck at another job site and the appointment is now after 3:00 PM!! At 4:15 I called again because I had not heard from them. The lady who answered indicated that I was next on the technician's schedule. I asked what does next mean? Is it 5 minutes or three hours? She could only tell me that the technician would call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Since they open 24 hours, this could be in the middle of the night. I canceled the appointment. I am very disappointed. My day was a waste of time.

I am very glad I called Penguin Air. I have an older unit and 3 parts needed to be replaced. Ralf the repairman was wiling to do the repair and not just say that I needed a brand new unit. He did an excellent job at a reasonable price.

Rich was great! He came out on a Sunday and quickly resolved the issue with our 16-year-old air handler. The fix was affordable and he did not try to upsell. He was very friendly and he fastidiously cleaned up the job site (even some of the mess I had made). Highly recommended!
Fixed the problem and waived the service fee when the problem was originally misdiagnosed. Penguin does good and fair work.

The gentleman was super knowledgeable and made sure the job was right. They give you continual updates on when they will arrive let's in Phoenix is large they may not be on time. The 2nd attempt they were on time very well. I would definitely use them again especially for shower drain cleaning which is a little more tricky.

We had a water heater go bad and I called Penguin for a price quote. As I was driving home I was making the call and by the time I got home. They were there in 20 minutes after I got there. Then we talked about replacing and all the details they were on point. Price was the best compared to other. Based on service and quality of work we went ahead and replaced the AC units. Again. Andy is very knowledgeable. He took care of replacing 6 fire detectors that were hardwired and recommended one unit with combo CO2 sensor. Loved this since i wouldnt need a seperate unit.
He also replaced a GIF outlet that was blown and installed a 20amp outlet outside for use with lamdscaping equipment, saws and other items.
He walked me through the electrical check and options etc.

Brandon responded to conduct our routine service check on our AC unit. He provided some pictures of the coils being very dirty, which is not a good sign. To help keep the 2 year old performance up, it needed a cleaning. Thanks for his expertise in helping us avoid our unit from having future issue with compressor and other components.

I had an investment property that needed work and they came out really fast and the price was fair.
2 years later I needed to replace the tankless water heater at my house. The quotes me 6k. I bought the same unit at Home Depot and paid a licensed plumber to install it to the existing plumbing. 1400.
That’s not right.
I understand there are costs to running a business and you most certainly have to pay for expertise. The technician was very efficient and had the heat pump problem solved in less than 10 minutes. My complaint is not with the service itself but the amount of money they make within 10 minutes time. The technician replaced a bad capacitor. I had a coupon for a free service call and still the 10 minutes labor and the capacitor cost $280. The capacitor is available on Amazon and many other sites for less than $20. If I had not had the coupon they would have charged me $358.
That explains how they’re able to advertise so heavily on TV and own a helicopter used by the local TV station. Again, the expertise of the technician is not being questioned. I would highly recommend using another air-conditioning contractor. I’m not sure if these prices are industrywide, but they are predatory in my opinion. Technicians are busy this time of year due to the record heat, and a customer is left with a few options. Penguin air understands this and charges an exorbitant amount of money. I can only imagine how much money each technician makes for the company on a daily basis. Join me in boycotting such a ruthless business.
Landon of Penguin Air and Plumbing was absolutely superb with updating my plumbing needs. He informed me of the issues and several repair solutions. His knowledge was very helpful for future plans that I have for my bathrooms. I was pleased with Landon's friendly and professional manner and will definitely give Penguin Air and Plumbing a call for future maintenance.

We've had some great experiences with various companies throughout the years, and we’ve also experienced some not so great interactions with companies, too. most recently, we had a very bad experience with a local company that was pushy to sell us a new unit, and had to come out twice to fix something they mishandled. Penguin Air really turned that around for my family, today.
We had a FANTASTIC experience, where Jimmy went ABOVE and BEYOND to listen to our situation and assess the various potential problems and the appropriate solutions.
He was ready to take it step by step and not leave us doom spiraling after every check in, but simply assuaged any concerns we may have had with solutions.

Preston Wingfield, he works with you guys, I know him personally, he took my purse and had the audacity to spend my money, if this is the type of people you allow in your company than go ahead be ripped off, allow people like this to act in your care, just for them to take my purse in secret and act like they never took it. addition 07/04/19: Penguin contacted me about my concerns and worked to make the situation better. They refunded the diagnostic fee and I was willing to give another opportunity when we straightened out the warranty issue HOWEVER, I feel they fumbled another opportunity when they would only honor the parts warranty and not the labor piece which we have. Penguin was not the only one that dropped this ball and it makes no sense why a company would not honor the warranties and earn a Customer.
The staff was very friendly however I think some of the business practices needs to be addressed by Leadership as I was gave them another opportunity to earn my business based on their response to my previous review however they fumbled the ball.
07/03/19- Our fan motor seized so we contacted Penguin; The stars are solely for Penguin’s response time to both my online submission and for the prompt diagnostic call.
The reduction in stars is the rest. Now I get it is summer and A/C repairs are in high demand however the quote of $1600 to replace a max $320 part is simply unacceptable. After this quote my friend and colleague who overheard me called his dad who owns a company that repairs AC and can get a universal part with warranty for about $100 with capacitor. He also indicated that it is a twenty minute repair and only about four bolts to mount the motor and a couple to transfer the fan blades to the new motor.
Fortunately, we are not desperate as we have options to stay with family so we can shop around and get this apparently easy repair done for a reasonable price.
Long story short, if you can shop around, do it and I feel bad for those that are forced to pay this amount.

The CSR I believe her name was Rachael she was absolutely wonderful! She was very patient with me when I repeatedly ask the same questions. She was very thorough, efficient and thorough. Then I met Corie the tech who was great as well because he was professional, courteous and efficient when he assessed my guest bathroom issues. Unfortunately, due to the price I was unable to have the work done ( that is why I did not give a rating of 5 stars). Although, Corie stated that his company offers financing I declined (I am unemployed at this time). However, it’s refreshing to know that excellent customer service continues to exist.
We called Penguin Air when our AC went out unexpectedly in the middle of July in Arizona! Jimmy showed up within an hour and had it fixed. We can’t thank him enough. Thank you Jimmy!

Within 45 minutes of requesting service, Sean was at our house. Very friendly, quick to diagnose and fix the issue. Luckily it was just a blown capacitor so the damage was minimal. All around incredible service.

Yessie was very courteous and detailed in her explanations of the maintenance on my HVAC. She wore covers on her shoes inside and found several areas where the AC was leaking air and taped them up. I really like the fact that they send a picture and estimated arrival of the technician. Thx Penguin!

Penguin Plumbing responded to my plugged sewer problem at 9:00 PM after another plumber promised to be at my house at 4:00, kept putting me off, and finally cancelled at 8:45. The technician, Adam Montgomery was very professional, quick, and helpful. I highly recommend him!
Yesenia called about a half hour before she arrived. She was very pleasant and was very forthcoming with information about my system. She spent a lot of time checking everything. This is very much appreciated. My dog liked her too!

Everyone at penguin air is absolutely amazing! The kindness from each and everyone there really meant the world to me. They all explained everything from the beginning to end in way that I could understand. Jay the general manager even took time out late on a Saturday night to help. Brandon came out Sunday morning to get things started and was awesome!! The gentlemen (wish I had there names) that came to install today were so incredible!! Penguin air should be very proud! They have one hell of a team!!! Thanks to everyone!!!!

Honestly. I thought the cost was a little high. Even with the 69.00 discount. But that said... You pay for Expertise. Not their time. As for the quality and customer experience. It was AWESOME. Thank you for quality customer service and workmanship.
Electrician was supposed to install new batteries in the smoke detectors. He changed nothing. Since he left I’ve had to change 4 Batteries!! 8 more to go. Don’t waste your time and money having Penguin Air do electrical work for you. It won’t get done.
Good service call, knowledgeable, honest, upfront! It is what it is! The way it should go!

Penguin air is an amazing company. The service they provide from the office, sales technicians, and installation was 5 stars from start to finish. Our compressor went out on our old a/c and they replaced it with a new unit. Their pricing was straight forward, they were honest through the entire process and had our house cooling within 24 hours. We have two dogs and two small children so this was a huge bonus. They even dropped off a room a/c for us to help until they could get the new system installed. I would recommend this company to anyone needing service or installation. Thank you Penguin Air!!!!!
Ralph was courteous and appeared to be knowledgeable about what he does for a living. I don't give 5 stars to anyone because it represents perfection. It is my opinion that perfection does not exist because there is nothing to base it on.
