This company does not care about their customers they only care about screwing them and making more money.I had an opener installed and eventually found out it was installed incorrectly the slide bar is an even straight connecting to the top of the garage door the garage door is now twisting and bending and is going to break. The Tech even agreed with me that it was not installed correctly.. But that didn't stop elite from wanting to charge me $467 to fix this error is this error.I told them good bye.Use this company at your own risk but you have been warned.

I called Elite Garage out to my house yesterday after my garage door spring broke. My truck was trapped inside the garage so they quickly sent a technician out to help. Devin was at my house within two hours. He explained the issue and got it fixed very quickly. Very happy with Elite Garage!

In the past, I have had a lot of problems with Elite Garage Doors. They were always last minute, and the service was always very slow and the technicians were really unprofessional. When I called them for a service, the technician that showed up was always drunk and the service was always horrendous. The technicians and the owner always seemed like they had a lot of attitude. I am not pleased with the service at all.

I called them as I garage door came off track and wouldnt open or close. The pulley was out. Intially I was quoted about $1100 but when I informed them that another vendor only quoted $350, they dropped it down 375. I agreed to do the job. The tech spent an hour or less on the job. Only thing done was put the cable back properly and adjaut spring tension. Now the door is very jerky and bumps into the wall and feels like it will fall down any minute. I cant believe a door that was doing just fine before this incident now cant be fixed by a garage door company to be smooth and operating safely. I give two stars because they showed up and were polite but their sales tactics threw me off and felt very opportunistic.

I had to call for service after my garage door broke down and got stuck in the garage. The service that I received was very bad. The technician came out and looked at it and then decided that since the door was stuck the only solution was to replace the entire unit. I told him that I didn't want to replace the unit and that I wanted him to fix the problem. He tried to convince me to spend $1,000 on a new garage door and I wouldn't budge. I ended up having to call another service to come out and fix the problem.

I am very disappointed in the service I received. I was told that I would be contacted with a quote for my garage door. After a week, I called to inquire about the quote. The company never got back to me, not even with an email. I called back a few days later and the company told me that they were too busy to do the work and that I should call another company. I had to replace my double garage door. Mine was cracked, derailed and stuck in the up position. Precision responded quickly and got the door down for security and ordered a new door. The installation was efficient and professional. Good service and good people. The new door is a dream.

When I shared with him that it was important to me to have the doors installed within a few days he assured me that if their installation crews were not available in that time frame that he would personally install them himself and he kept his word. I called late Christmas Eve and the representative was very polite and professional. She scheduled an appointment between 2-4 pm and said a service rep would call. The rep, A-Maten, called minutes later and arrived on time. He was very efficient, professional and friendly. After completing the repair he cleaned up and returned everything he had to move back to its original location. He saved the day.

Scam Alert!!! Bait and Switch!!! I put a deposit on a new roller gate opener and then they called back 2 or 3 days later to say the residential model was out of stock with the supplier and was no where to be obtained for the next 8 weeks. I would have to wait 8 weeks for something that we agreed upon being delivered within 7 to 10 days of me having put the deposit. They offered the commercial version for only an additional $700.I called the tech who gave the quote and told him I needed to cancel and that I found the same model out of state. I called the office 4 times and could never get the guy who could actually help me. They kept telling me he was on a call or down in the shop, but would call me in 5 minutes. He never did call, so I replied to the e-mailed quote and canceled the order requesting a refund of the deposit and then ordered from out of state just before the close of business.They called back today and had Magically received 4 residential units that they didn't even know where they came from. Also, he lied and said he was working out of the office, even though 2 people told me they had seen him in the office and would have him call me right back. Then told me they wanted to come out an install the residential unit as ordered. And although he had heard that I was trying to cancel the day before that cancelation actually was not possible since (news to me, nowhere in writing or verbally stated) deposits are now non-refundable. I tried to explain the process of offer and acceptance, where he said that he could not fulfill the order as offed was a breach and a counter offer which I had not accepted.Well he was going to have to talk to the ownership and I let him know that I was going to have to call my credit card now. I have since reversed the charges and I will be calling AZ Attorney's office to report the bait and switch which is patently illegal.Do not do business with these guys. If they would try to cheat me, they will try to cheat you.Side note, their tech Don was nice, and personable, but I ended up replacing a $1 fuse on the controller board that had the gate began working fine. Can't believe I was nearly tricked into buying a whole new controller motor /controller when it was so easy to fix with a fuse from auto zone just up the street.

Update 12/2021: new garage door installed and looks and operates great. Professional and competent install team of 2 people. Only odd thing was that I had to reach out to them to ask for an update on delivery/install timing after the original timeframe had passed by a couple weeks. Within an hour I received a call from them to schedule install. Maybe they are just short staffed and prioritizing the folks who pester them? But overall was a painless process and I would definitely use Elite again.August 2021: Can only comment on sales & ordering process so far — which has been great. Jeff was responsive and patient with my endless questions and made another trip to our house on a Sunday to confirm selections with samples. Will add/update review after delivery & install.

Requesting service with dispatcher was easy and informative. Showed up on time. The technician, David, was clearly experienced. He and Caleb fixed a detached rail (pulled completely out of the ceiling) and worn-out rollers in about an hour on the same day that I called. I liked that there were no emergency response or weekend charges, as they state they simply operate 24/7. I was also pleased that David talked me out of unnecessary charges when I questioned whether the springs should be replaced. He stated that although the springs had been painted - shouldn't do that - they were in good condition and would last for some time more. Nice to get good advice that is in my favor. The door now opens more smoothly and quietly than before. A morning crisis quickly became a no-hassle resolution. I will use them again and recommend them to others.

Day 1The tech came out to fix the garage door that would not go down because the cables kept getting tangled and unwound. He replaced the springs, and rollers. When he was done, the garage door still would not go down. He told me they needed to replace the retainer and seal because it was bent and the door was hitting the frame of the house. They would have to come back tomorrow. I would have appreciated an estimate before the work was started. They gave me the bill which was 3x more than I would have expected! If they would have given me that amount before, I would have gotten another opinion.Day 2The tech came out and replaced the retainer and called me and told me everything was good. When My wife got home the garage door opened fine, but it still would not close. The door was still hitting the frame of the house. She told me and I called to let them know. They said they would send someone out. I got home and when the tech got there he took photos of the door hitting the house and called his manager. He told me they would need to come back and fix it on Monday.Day 5I had called around 9:30 am to find out when the tech was coming, and they had not scheduled anybody to come out. When I let them know our garage door was not going down, they said they would send a tech out around 12:00pm maybe 1 in case he had problems with the previous install. I get home at 3 and no tech. At 4:30 I call them and they tell me their truck had broke down in Globe. The General Manager had told me he would guarantee someone would be out on Wednesday.Day 7The techs came out about an hour before they were scheduled. They had found that the original techs had mounted the rollers on the bottom of the door too low, thus not allowing the door to make the bend properly and not hit the frame of the house. The door is now working properly. We are not happy with the 1” gap between the door and the concrete. There is a rubber seal, but the retainer we had previously had had a piece of aluminum that cupped down over the gap. My opinion the original retainer was fine and was not hitting the frame. Not to mention all the hand prints across the door on the bottom. And to top it all off they had used and left my hammer laying outside the closed garage door. We are not impressed with the quality or service with this company!

Elite was incredible. We contacted them on Monday when our garage door cracked and they had someone out the same day. This was also the same week as Christmas so we were worried that installation of a new door was going to be delayed. Martin was fantastic! He was friendly, attentive, and most importantly he was honest with us. He was able to get us the door we wanted and have it installed BEFORE Christmas Eve! The gentleman that replaced our door was also awesome! He did an amazing job on our door and made sure we were happy with it. Thank you Elite Garage Doors & Gates!!!!

Zero Stars...This company is a joke. I called them up to get a new overhead unit installed into our garage and 10 days later the job is still not done. Complete incompetence from these clowns. They came to our house and quoted me $800 to put in a lift master....the most expensive one they have because he said they did not have any other units, even though they advertise other units being available. I ask him about the Genie and he said he did not bring one but that I would have to reschedule another appointment to get the Genie unit, $100 less for that one. Anyway, this guy took apart our old unit and put together the lift master unit and assembled it in our garage. After he did that he then told me that there was a problem with the anchor for the coils that open the garage door....an extra $700 to have that installed. I told him to just put our old unit back up and he told me he could not do that because he had already put the new unit together....a total scam. My $800 quote turned into $1700, $200 just for one remote they charged us for. I have been trying to get ahold of someone there and they do not return calls or e-mails. They are completely avoiding me and will not come finish the job. The new anchor he put in is not even close to what we agreed to and is still not fixed properly. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS,

My garage opener was starting to give out, called Elite and received same day response for free evaluation and estimate. After few other estimates called back and was able to connect with Jeremy who came back to replace my opener and add springs for my heavy door to operate better, he was done in good time. Jeremy did a great job and was very courteous and direct with work needed and accomplished. 4 star rating is due to price, even though other quotes were around same price due to shortage of supply chain and covid.

We were extremely pleased with our recent service experience with Elite. First, they made a sane day appointment. The service tech was actually early. After discussing and explaining our options in great detail. We made a decision which required an additional opener. The technician made arrangements to have what we needed shuttled to our place. The job was finished quickly. The tech knowledgeable and very efficient. The entire experience aided by a great service technician met even exceeded our expectations.

The spring on my garage door had broken. Since the door would not go up, my car and golf cart were trapped inside the garage. After calling Elite, I was greeted by a friendly lady who was sympathetic with my dilemma and arranged to have a serviceman respond within 3 hours. Jeremy introduced himself and immediately investigated the problem. He explained that my springs needed to be replaced, reviewed the cost of the work to be done, and upon my approval he set about replacing the springs, adjusting the tension and lubricated the rollers. He was done in about an hour and a half. The door works better than ever and does not squeak anymore when it opens and closes. Jeremy was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I am very grateful for the quick, courteous service. In the spirit of the Tokyo Olympics, I would say Jeremy stuck the landing!

The door quality is good. The doors where ordered and paid for in April.They arrived early September. Sells person was a ghost.The installation team was up selling things immediately. For the price I paid everything was supposed to be premium.Frank did a good job of installation. Ed is still learning.Over priced by a lot. I’d shop around more next time.

Not honest. 1st person who came to do a repair said we were covered by the warranty. 2nd team came to do the work and charged $950 for 2 hours labour. Promised a phone call to sort this out and never called. I felt I was being conned by this company. Even though the warranty is still valid, I will use someone else for future problems. Absolutely do not trust them.

After a call to replace a spring that had failed, we had a technician over to give us a quote. Mind you we were already told over the phone that the spring replacement would be no more than $200.I left the technician in our garage for about 3 minutes. He said he would be 5 minutes to assess the situation. My husband was not home as he had been called in for a job, he is a technician elsewhere. The technician comes back in from the garage and tells me he has an assessment. We can't replace your spring only as the support for the spring is unsafe. I asked him to show me. The support for this spring is the 2 x 4 board that is mounted to our house using 4- 8 lag bolts set into concrete. There was nothing wrong with it or the other two 2 x 4 placed on each side of the door. The price skyrocketed to an astounding $600 due to this supposedly bad anchor for the spring. I called my husband and we told the technician that he could leave.During the time that the technician was here he left his truck running and ready to go. Once he left, I investigated everything he said. There is no support issue with the springs anchor and why would he try to charge an additional $400 for that. The cable on the right or left side of my garage door was not off its rail prior to the visit. Now the cable on the right side of my garage door was untethered. Perhaps, this man thought that since I am a woman at home with kid and pregnant that I wouldn't know what the mounting brackets, spring, lag bolt, or cable were. Perhaps, he also didn't think I knew a crooked company when I saw one. I am an engineer/physicist and perhaps this guy should not be such a crook. This company is just the renamed Precision Garage Door of Phoenix that scammed many before. Do NOT use this company.

I called another company said it would be 2 days called Elite and they came out same day earlier than predicted by dispatch. I had called them because my spring on door broke he walked me through all options. And pricing for each option and advised on different warranty options. He had the parts on the truck. The trip out to inspect and advise issue was free. Wonderful company will definitely have on my speed dial for future repairs and possibly future upgrades.

I am extremely happy with the service I received from Brandon. He called from the road when he was on his way to my house and he arrived on time. It turned out on that I needed a new garage door opener and Brandon was very thorough at explaining why. He was very friendly, explained all of the features of the new opener and he did an excellent job installing the unit. He helped me to program the new unit and he told me that it was ok to call him on his cell if I had any questions after he left.I would highly recommend Elite Garage Doors due to the excellent service received from Brandon!

Technicians were great quick and proficient. However we were scheduled for 8am and they didn’t arrive until 10:30. I was told by dispatch that they ran an emergency call first. You didn’t call to advice of late arrival. I made three calls before someone told us the status. Kept saying that they won there way. A lie. We were also an emergency. Had to cancel an important appointment in Salt Lake City because we were stuck in our garage. I will not recommend you

Outstanding service! Had good contact with Elite getting the service scheduled and once the tech arrived, he was quick, thorough, super friendly and the results were incredible. Had a noisy garage door that you could hear a block away. After he was finished I can barely hear it closing standing in the garage! Door works so much better now and I'm 100% completely satisfied with the job they did. I'd recommend Elite to anyone looking for garage door service!

Not sure if I got ripped off or not. Suspect if I had shopped around I would have gotten a better price. I made an appointment on a Friday for Saturday afternoon. The technician did not show up. Three phone calls later I had a technician show up on Sunday. He told me it would take about 45 minutes to install a new garage door opener. Several hours later it was done. I had trouble programming a second garage door opener I picked up at a hardware store. Long story made short. The tech came back and straitened things out. He rearranged the sensors. Said this will take about 10 minutes. About an hour or so later it was working.

My husband and I were happy with the price and the service. Precision came the same day we called to give us a quote. Our garage door was a special order and should have taken 2-3 weeks for delivery according to other quotes we had. Precision was able to get the door completed and installed in less than a week! Our installer was very skilled and cleaned up after the install as well.

I called Precision when my garage door wouldn't open and I noticed the the spring had broken. I was unable to raise the door manually. They said they could get someone out to us in 2-3 hours which was fine. Sebastian, the repairman, called and was able to come a little early and he arrived just when he said he would. He looked at the problem and checked my other doors like I asked. Found a couple of other problems and explained them carefully and completely to me. I approved the work and he got to work immediately. Showed me what he had done and I was very pleased with his work. Very polite and professional. Very good experience from our point of view.

For the most part everything was fine except the price! I called this company because the bolts were falling out of our back gate. Mind you the gate is normal in size...maybe 40”...The repair man looked at the gate snd told me it would be $295 for the trip charge and then another $100 for the repair.While I was shocked that it was going to be $395 to put four bolts back in and adjustments etc., I went ahead with the repair as he was here and I needed it fixed.He found that our spring return was faulty and he tried to adjust that and was not able to. He suggested I needed a new spring and he could come back and fix it with a new spring. I panicked thinking wow... another $295 trip charge? He said he would wave that charge and only charge me the cost for the spring and the repair labor. He said he would get me a quote. I have not heard yet what the estimate will be and it has been four days.I just feel that $395 is a chunk of change four four bolts and adjustments. Maybe the “trip charge” was so much because the gentleman came from Tonopah...He did it great job, thankfully!

Over promised and under delivered but gave me a WHOLE $100 off for wasting three different days of my life over a month and a half. I’ve had no issues. The previous company didn’t mount the motor to studs in the ceiling. This company does the right thing by taking care of you as part of their family.

We contacted Precision Door Service and asked if they would be able to come out quickly. They were able to accommodate us within a day. We are selling our home and needed to have the garage door repaired quickly so we could provide the information and paid invoice to the title and escrow companies as soon as possible in order for it not to be charged to us for repair. They came out when they said they would, assessed the problem and were able to not only tell us what the problem was but they took the time to show us so we knew exactly why our price was going to be what it was.You may find a cheaper repair company in the Valley but you will not find a more professional, more reliable and considerate one. Josh is amazing! He’s extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and calm, and he works diligently and effectively. He did at least four hours of work and education in about one hour.Josh called in advance, and he arrived on time. We were so impressed by his knowledge and the danger of ignoring garage doors for years, we had him look at my parents’ garage the next day! The company gives free estimates, and I like that they offer commission. Josh deserves every dollar! ...and a raise. :)

You may be able to find somebody to do the work cheaper, but our garage door was repaired the same day I made the call. Josh, the installer, knew what the problem was after about 5 minutes. He was efficient and replaced what was needed with higher quality parts than the original. After a few small adjustments everything worked properly.

Buyer beware, they are a overly priced rip off!I called this company to come out and give me a free quote as advertised on their website. A spring on our garage door had broken earlier that morning. After scheduling, A Man and his son showed up not in uniform but had a company truck with the logo so not a big deal. He was friendly at first going right in taking and pictures thinking he’ll give me the “quote”. I turned my back for a second to attend to my kids and he’s already taking apart my garage throwing stuff everywhere and being unprofessional. When I asked my husband how much it would be he said he wasn’t told a price and thought I was. He went back to ask how much and the man was trying to up-sale everything saying it all needed to be replaced as his “son” was working on the garage. When we advised him we just needed the spring replaced his demeanor changed even more. The fbomb was being thrown around along with other garage door parts like he was upset at this response. Since the job was almost already complete when we found out how much it would be at that point what do you do.. Other companies charged around $200-300 for the job, we were charged $866.38 to be exact.. Definitely do not recommend!

My wife and I needed emergency service one night after 8pm to fix our garage door which was off the rails and hanging. After contacting Precision Door Services, they had a Service Technician respond in less than a hour. The service provided was excellent, and the repairs were professionally done. The technician came out the same day I called (which was surprising to me because hardly any service technician come out the same day you call for service). He was very polite. He showed me the bad and/or worn out parts before he replaced them. All in all, I am very satisfied with the service I got. The only negative would be the price-----but I guess everyone complains about the price. He did a lot of work, but the price was still somewhat of a shock to me. [I'm not complaining, just mentioning that the total caught me off guard].

I called Precision Door Service to repair a couple of garage doors at my home. They sent a repairman that day. Sebastian was very pleasant despite the intense heat of the Tempe afternoon. He listened to what I needed done, gave me a price and got right to work. It didn't take long and we had two new openers and all new controls. Everything works great! Sebastian did exactly what he said he would do and for the price he quoted.Thanks, for a great job and experience.

The technician was good; however, the cost for what he did was not so much. I was charged $120.00 for him to apply the lubricant I supplied to the garage door. I was not told about the $120.00 minimum labor cost prior to the appointment or prior to the technician applying the lubricant that I supplied. When I called to inquire the cost, I felt that the CS was extremely unhelpful and dismissive of my concerns.The three issues I have is the cost was a bit extreme, a lack in transparency about the costs prior to and during service, a lack of focus on customer experience.Elite installed my garage door opener in 12/19 and was my go to company prior to this. David Dimas the installer was transparent about costs and went above and beyond to provide and excellent customer experience. Too bad that wasn't carried through to this interaction.

Terrible experience with the company. Installer damaged my garage door during installation of a new opener. He then charged me for an upgraded support that was needed because he bent the door panels! I had a senior installer come out and inspect the damage. I never heard back.... I called six times and left six messages. Each time I was told that a supervisor would respond to me.....never happened. I was told that new replacement panels have been order and they will replace the damaged panels. It has been two months since the inspection by the senior installer and I have not had one single call returned by someone from the company. Thumbs down on this company .

Initially I was told that there would be a technician that would meet me on Monday morning. After taking the day off of work no one came.Then, I was promised someone would come on Wednesday and that they knew how to service the gate. They clearly didn’t.After two phone calls no one ever said explained that their was a trip charge or diagnostic fee. After arriving and looking at the unit we were told there was a $500 diagnostic fee but they the technician had already fixed the unit (within 30 mins of arrival).Unfortunately the unit was not working after the technician left. We had a second technician that works on Viking Access Systems come out today and they repaired the unit. They tested the batteries and immediately found out that the batteries were at less than 20% capacity and needed to be replaced. This should have been done by Elite's technician but it’s clear that they work primarily on Lift Masters not Viking Access Systems.

This company is an absolute joke. Sales guy came out, I told him I’d buy that day if they could get the doors installed in 2 weeks. He said not a problem, he assured me it would be done in 2 weeks. They wouldn’t answer my calls and then didn’t schedule anything. I had to call multiple times to make sure to get scheduled. I was told an electrician was going to come out and get it all wired. Never came This was in October. It is now December 11th and they just got installed. The problem is that the electrician still did not come and now my garage doors have no power to them because of the j shaft I bought. I called the office with no answer, it went to the scheduler and he said nothing was scheduled with a electrician. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My job is still not complete, I have no power to my doors. I will be filing complaints everywhere because this was the worst service I’ve ever had. I had given them 3 chances to get this right, and even on the day the doors are installed they still can’t plan accordingly. Save your money and time and use someone else.

Came out to estimate (free) the replacement of a section our RV garage door. It took a while to get the part. While I was on a trip with RV, they came out, installed it, adjusted the spring and movement and when I got back everything was done. Good company - good people.

I am EXTREMELY pleased with the recent purchase and interactions I had with Precision! I had a friend run into my garage door on Memorial Day weekend, and needed a replacement FAST. I contacted them Tuesday afternoon, and by Wednesday morning I had a tech at my house explaining what was required! The very next day I had the install tech there taking down the old door and putting the new one up!Precision was:- Fast (They had technicians to me quickly after I contacted them, the entire process took only 3 days!)- Polite (No rude language, no talking over my head in terms I didn't understand, and the installer kept his music to a very reasonable volume for the duration of the installation.)- Clean & Tiday (the install tech made it look like he had never been there, minus the fantastic new door of course!)Overall I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Precision to anyone! Elite Garage Doors and GatesAll I can say is wow; what a big difference in how my garage door works. After 13 years my garage door mechanism finally failed and I decided to call Elite Garage Doors and Gate as they were referred to me by a friend. They arrived and diagnosed the problem immediately.Mr. Martin Steele arrived and introduced himself and the other technician. After doing a full inspection of my system I was told that it was in my best interest to have the motor assembly replaced. Mr. Steele and his assistant was very pleasant, courteous and very professional. Looking at these guys work I could tell that they were very knowledgeable.Once the job was completed, they showed my wife and I everything we needed to know about the new system. They made sure we fully understood the capabilities of the new motor. Before leaving Mr. Steele and his assistant made absolutely sure that my garage area was cleared of all debris and dirt.I would 100% recommend Elite Garage Doors and Gate to anyone looking for that type of service. I love how quiet my garage door is now.

The service techs were professional and their work was excellent, once they got there. I was scheduled initially for a 4p-6p slot so arranged my day accordingly. They showed up around 10-1015p and were done around 1130p. Along they way, I never received a call about the delay. I had to call in, once with a 13 minute hold time. I finally got a call from the tech about an hour out.

Once the installer/repair person arrived he quickly assessed the situation and found that my garage door spring broke. He then explained the price of repairs and it seemed reasonable,so I set up a payment plan through greensky and his work began. About 30 minutes 35 minutes later, he replaced the outdated garage spring with two springs and garage cables and rollers. He was very knowledgeable and respectful I appreciate his help, John

I could have saved money by sourcing the parts and figuring it out myself, BUT... it would have taken me an entire Saterday. I called them in the evening after 5pm, they were there promptly at 8am the next morning, and was done in under an hour - in an Arizona July day! Money well spent. The technician explained several options, but did not try to persuade me to go with a repair more extensive than what I had originally contemplated. The day the new garage door was installed, I noticed that effective that day, a $200.00 rebate was being offered by Elite for the purchase of a new garage door . As of today, I have received one call back on this subject.This rebate should have been offered to me and not finding it out on my own.

Stay away from these guys, they will take you to the Cleaners recommending unnecessary replacement parts and charging obnoxiously OVER priced pulleys, rollers, springs, and added warranties. The worst part is they don’t share pricing upfront. The tech makes it sound like small charges and once you verbally okay it, present you with a bill after the fact with outrageous amount and extended warranty. I called them out because My garage door would sometimes close and sometimes won’t, they came out and replaced two springs, a pulley, 10 side rollers and added a warranty for nearly $1500, and the worst part is the door still had the same issue which the Tech said it needed new motor head replacement for additional $1200. I told him no thank you. I went to another local company and purchased the controller board and replaced it my self for $175. I then had to chase them on the phone to refund the unwanted / extended warranty ($350). The sad part is I have used them the past over 5-6 years ago, and were great back then, which is why I called them. They must’ve changed hands. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else for honest company.

Van called to say he was running late and gave an approximate time; he was courteous and arrived at his stated time. He discussed options before proceeding. Maybe just go with a different company.The technician showed up 30 minutes before our appointment. Works for me. He texted that he was there— we let him in the gate. He sat in our driveway for 3 minutes and then drove away. I contacted him and asked if he was coming back and he said no, that we had made him wait too long. He told me to reschedule. My wife was waiting inside for him, but he never left his truck or knocked on the door. I asked him why he didn’t knock on the door and he said “Covid Protocol”. I guess we were supposed to go knock on his truck window? Really weird experience.

We had a garage door button that wasn’t working anymore and we called Elite as they took over for Precise Garage Doors who we were extremely happy with on the installation some 8 years ago. Elite sent out some guys to take a look same day which we appreciated. They took one look at the button on the wall and said that’s too old we can’t replace that or fix it. My husband asked what do we do then, and he said we needed to replace the entire unit for $1,299! My husband told them to get the hell out. We went to Home Depot and bought a wall mount button for $9 and it works great. Needless to say we will never deal with these folks again. Absolutely outrageous. Don’t be taken folks! Do your homework!

I called several garage door repair companies to fix the broken spring on my garage door. My car was stuck inside the garage and I had a doctor appointment in the afternoon. Nobody could help me the same day. Most places were booking appointments 3-4 days out. Precision Door had a repair tech to my house in less than 3 hours! The door was fixed in less than 2 hours. Tech was very friendly and knowledgeable, he explained the process and prices and quickly fixed my door. I highly recommend this company!

My garage door came off track and the guide wire broke in the early evening. I contacted Elite Garage Doors & Gate. The operator understood my urgency to have the door repaired immediately. She dispatched Van, who responded. He was polite, courteous, and after surveying the damage, he explained my options to fix the door. His truck was complete with all the tools and proper equipment. The garage door is fine and goes up and down.But ... the installers left a hell of a mess that I had to clean up.The sales person was not clear on how much floor space was necessary for the installers and consequently we had to move all of my shop equipemnt to give them the room they needed. I called on a Sunday because my garage door had a problem with the cables being off of the tracks but no broken springs. I needed to have this repaired as our neighborhood has had a rash of garage thefts. David responded in a very timely manner. He said the cables and end bearing plate was bad which was obvious. He added that the springs needed to be replaced because they were the wrong size for the door. Since I had problems with them in the past I agreed. The bill ended up being $916.12. I called a the garage door company I have used for years and asked for a quote which came back under $500. I checked prices on Amazon for the parts they installed which they charged me 894.88 for and found them for $173.98. The other company I had used in the past wanted $300.00 for the parts. Both are a far cry from what Precision wanted to charge. I don’t mind paying a reasonable fee but this is just horrible. Also after the job I found a website where this company was investigated in Phoenix for ripping off the public on dateline NBC

Chris B. was great! I had used Elite a few years ago on my previous house's garage door. I was so impressed when I bought a house in June I called them out for an inspection. Chris B. was prompt, courteous, kind and gave me multiple options of what I could do. I ended up going with their top end model and springs for the lifetime warranty. This week I had an issue because I heard a noise that didn't sound right I called them and Chris B. came out that day! It turns out there was residual grease in the track from the former home owner. Chris cleaned it out and the garage door was back to normal. I am very happy I went with them again as there is nothing that gives more peace of mind than reliable friendly customer service.

We scheduled garage repair for broken spring on two-car garage door for my elderly parents’ home. When we scheduled, we asked for estimated cost and she said they cannot provide an estimate, but it would be minimum $150 and went up based on work. Technician replaced both springs and no other components. 45 min total job at a cost of $800! More than twice what we expected. A very high cost and believe this company took advantage of my elderly parents.

I made the mistake of not asking about their pricing. The job was to fix the garage door opener and connect it to my car’s device. The rep showed up on time and was pleasant . Apparently it was an easy fix but the reason I was having trouble was that I needed a remote and he just happened to have one for $60 (really, $6O!). When he presented me with the bill for work that took less than 20 minutes of $276 he explained that their minimum trip charge was $190! No, he wasn’t coming from Yuma. My onlyRecommendation would be to ask before you hire. I won’t make that mistake again.

I requested a service call to install a brace on a cracked door panel. When the tech arrived he said he didn’t have any braces with him. He said another tech would come out tomorrow but he demanded that I payed a 50% deposit.The next day another tech installed the brace in less than 10 minutes. I asked for an estimate to have the entire door replaced. The tech said one would be emailed to me but I never received itOverall I was satisfied with the work but I felt the price was high for a brace and 10 minutes of work. Having to lose 2 mornings for a 10 minute job was frustrating. Not receiving an estimate as promised is inexcusable.

This was a very painful and not well communicated solution to an exterior mounted door issue. The installers made it work by modifying the door in the end but it looks funky. For what I paid I wish I had done another solution. The door was always to be hung on the outside, there was never room to hang it on the inside. The door is painted side is not seen. Also the lock had to be flipped and lowered. Lastly it took almost 90 days to get the door. Now I have to paint the inside of the door because it faces out. Have extra holes in the door. It goes to a utility room we always talked about cutting a vent, they never said the metal wasn't flat. This was a waste of good money for something that wasn't going to work. Nothing was communicated properly.It would have been better if I was told they couldn't do it.I would like to add I did send two emails and a message before I wrote this review over three weeks ago an no answer. Two weeks ago as you can see below the Owner said he would personally look into to it. Crickets, not a single communication from anyone!!

My garage door just decided to up and crack Sunday morning. The same day Elite came out and we got everything set up. Was quoted about a week turnaround, but by Tuesday, the new door and entirely new opener and system was installed. Two man crew came out 30 minutes early and were done in about an hour. The prices seemed fair, but given how quickly everything was done even if the cost was a tad higher I wouldn't complain

I called again, even though it was Saturday., the tech came back and found a couple of pieces on the frame were incorrectly installed. he repaired them and all is well. I was I need of a service man to come and tell me what was wrong with my Garage door , A gentleman came down and tight away he noticed that one of the main springs apparently broke and that's what was causing the Garage door to not go up on one side , I ask the repair man what he needed to replace his remark was ( I wont know until I start getting into it ) I left him and every 20min I would go check on this gentleman because it was very hot in the garage I offered him refreshments and ask him how everything is going he told me everything is ok that it would be done soon , Well when he finished he got on his iPad and asked me numerous questions, when he was done he gave me a bill of 2300 plus tax , of course I was furious I was in the garage asking the right questions but did not get a answer until the end , We negotiated a price but I feel that he should have not any work on my garage without my permission! According to him the garage needed to be completely rebuilt, I just had the left side of the garage replaced not the right side , WARNING if you are going to have work done by these people make sure you have a quote in writing prior to any work. I have been in the Car business for 27yrs and people call is crooks, Please don't make the same mistake o did !!!!

Surprise my door wouldn’t open with my car inside on Friday night! Called their number, the “nighttime” service scheduled Service between 10-12 Saturday.Van showed up at 10am and advised one spring had broken and both needed replacement (almost 7 yo).They now use longer springs that should last 15 yr.Also, one spring was undersized and 16” long.Van put in better springs, higher loading, and did a complete maintenance of my door in an hour.I’m very pleased and thankful that Van and Elite took care of me so quickly, would recommend to others.

He explained in detail the problem with my 20 year old garage door and the broken belt, did a overhaul of the mechanics. Not worth the effort, not worth the costs. Finally posting a review because I gave them several chances and I am done.Called for a quote on a repair (dent in our old garage door got worse and became a crease, then a crack, and it was threatening to completely split a panel). New door was only a little more expensive than a repair, so we went the whole nine yards, insulated door, new opener, new buttons and remotes, lifetime warranty.That is when the issues started. The color we chose that looked to closely match the house (an HOA requirement) from the swatch they had ended up not being close. Something was off, either the color we ordered, the name of the swatch, the color of the swatch, something. Precision agreed to pay half the cost of painting the door (which we didn't want to have to do, the original color had a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer). But we did it. We still haven't been reimbursed the half, and I am not getting responses to my emails anymore.The lifetime warranty I bought seemed very different in the little blurb that showed on the invoice, so after several emails and a terrible customer service response that I had to escalate to a supervisor, I finally got what might be closer to the full text of the warranty I bought. I am still pretty sure I will get the shaft if I ever make a claim, but I am too tired of arguing with a non-responsive company.To be perfectly honest, this review is my last attempt to get them to pay attention and fix the problems I have had with their service.Two stars because the door itself is great and we love the wi-fi access to the door via smart phone apps, and it is much quieter (though less so after having to paint it, probably because the paint sticks a bit to the weather stripping each time it is closed it pops a bit as it opens). Still not sure how well the insulation will help, but willing to wait on saying if it is worth it or not. Now that I could vent, I probably should give a third star because the work done was great and done very quickly. But I want to be consistent with what I wrote on their website.

Service guy came to the house and inspected what need to be done, and then gave me a quote to install a new door opener. When he had the opener installed he gave me a call and said he needed to run new wiring for the push button opener and also for the saftey sensors because we had a old opener, and did not have the sensors. He wanted to charge me another $199 to run this wiring. The was nothing but a scam. Garage door openers come with the wiring and should be included in the installation, and in his quote he gave me. He tried to get me for another $199. Made me mad as hell, so I called his office directly and talked to his boss. He made it right with me and agreed it should have been included in the bid, and thus I was not charged for the extra... so just a heads up... don't let the installer try and get one over on you...

Worst service ever. They were supposed to be at our house between 2:00 and 4:00. We waited until 4:15 and finally got a hold of,the office. They said the technician was running late and would call to let us. when to expect him. Left us waiting and never heard from this company again until we got this review on our phone. I knew both were likely bad, the motor burned out because another company had installed springs that were too small. It was expensive but my heavy door is now whisper quiet and perfectly balanced. We had a very poor experience with Elite Garage Doors. We had called Precision Garage Doors only to learn that Elite Garage Doors had bought them out. Elite canceled appointments, rescheduled, misquoted our estimate and misrepresented their ability to do the work. Their prices were high and communication with their office was poor. Those that answer the phones are merely message takers & have no ability to really help. Managers leave the office early and don't return calls. We will not use this company again.

New door is wonderful and installation was very professional. The only problem was lack of communication about installation date. Was told by the sales person that if the door wasn’t in stock, delivery would be within 2 weeks, that the door was locally produced. We later found out that the door was manufactured in Ohio, resulting in a longer wait. So we sweated out a vacation deadline with no use of our garage in hot Phoenix (the original call was about a broken spring resulting in an inaccessible garage) and the door was installed the day before we were to be gone for two weeks. If someone would have at least offered to install a temp spring assembly so we would have had use of the garage for that three weeks, it would have been greatly appreciated. However, we are ultimately happy with the door, even though the unexpected wait was uncomfortable and unexpected.

A mistake of mine resulted in a garage door disaster. Called Elite and they sent over technician Dave. What was a disaster to me, was a fairly easy fix for Dave. He gave me some options and I had (for financial reasons) to take the lesser of the options. This involved a fix rather than a replacement. He gave me a quote which I accepted and that quote was the price I paid, no hidden or added on charges. Dave was the most knowledgeable and professional trades person who has ever come to my house for a repair. He fixed my problem in a couple of hours and now my garage door works better than it has since I bought the house. It did cost me some money, but it could have been way worse. I have no problem recommending Elite to anyone in need of garage door services.

My wife and I were in a real bind, as we had sold our home, but a few days before close, we discovered that our external electric gate wasn't working. We contacted Elite Garage Doors and Gates after we found them on Angie's List, and we could not have been more fortunate. From their customer service on the phone (Brenda), setting up the appointment, promptly notifying me of any changes or questions, and making sure that we were still on track throughout the process helped immensely. Our technician, John Russ, was truly amazing. To begin with, he's had so much experience and was a true professional and expert in his field. But not only that, when we ran into another hiccup on the day before the sale of our home closed, he offered to get up at the crack of dawn so that he could swing by the office and bring us the right part to install early in the morning because he knew we were closing that day. I do not know if we would've made it if it weren't for John, we are so incredibly grateful for the service we received, and would recommend them to anyone with similar needs.

I called for a lube and adjustment since or door had started to make more than usual noise during operation. Cameron came out a couple of days later and did a a full assessment and suggested replacing the rollers and lubing the door and checking all the bolts and other hardware. We have an extremely heavy garage door and it is now back to running smoothly and more quietly. Cameron offered suggestions on a couple things to keep an eye on and that we may need to address in the future but wasn’t pushy and did not try to up sell me anything I didn’t need. My garage door wouldn't open or close; I called Elite Garage Doors in the morning and someone was there a couple of hours later. The technician showed me a simple fix for the problem but told me that I really needed to replace the motor because it was about 20 years old. It also made a lot of noise opening and closing. After a new system was put in, it was much quieter and worked better. The technician was efficient, polite, and professional.

I attempted to share my overall disappointment with my experience with a manager of Elite, but, as per their M.O., no communication or call. I originally called Elite for a repair to one of my two garage doors, and made an appointment for 8am the following morning. I was right in the middle of having my home repainted. When 9am came & went, and no repairman in sight, I called Elite and they informed me I was given a “window” of 8 - 10:00am. About 10:30 their rep showed up, told me they couldn’t match the door, so to have two matching doors, I ordered two new doors, was quoted a price, given a time frame of two to three weeks, and told the color we chose would match the color we were painting our home. So far, so good. Three weeks passed without any word from Elite, so I called them and was told they would call the manufacturer and get a delivery date, then call me back. They never called me back. I called them again the following day, was told the same thing, that they would call the manufacturer for a shipping date, only this time I was put on hold. They came back on the line and told me it should arrive at Elite the following Tuesday or Wednesday. This was Fourth of July week. By Thursday of that week, I hadn’t heard anything from Elite, so I called them again. I was told my doors were in, and given an installation appointment for July 9th at 9am. July 9th arrives and 9am comes and goes. At 10:05, I called Elite and was informed only half of my single door arrived. They asked if I wanted them to install the double door and have them come back to install the single door when the rest of it arrived. I said no, I didn’t want mismatched doors, and it was the single door that was broken, so I would wait for the rest of the door to be shipped, and have everything installed at the same time, which finally happened on Tuesday July 14th. The color, which was to be the same color as we had just painted our home, wasn’t even close. I spoke to my painter, and he recommended NOT painting the doors until they had aged a year or two. My complaint is this: Elite made an agreement with me, required 50% deposit UP FRONT, which I gave them, then dropped me off their radar. I had to initiate EVERY contact with them. Only God knows when/if my doors would EVER have arrived had I not stayed on them. I am completely dissatisfied with Elite and their total lack of customer care, poor communications, and professionalism.Dennis P Myers

Good people. We had them install 2 high end glass replacement garage doors (same product) at a much cheaper price than your big box store. And without the enormous hassle. Trust me. If you ever want to be frustrated just walk into that big box stores in the middle of the day and try to give them $10,000 for 2 garage doors. You’ll be standing there with your 10k as the lights shut off at the end of the day.

We brought home a new car and within minutes had a very confused garage door opener. I contacted Precision and they had an appointment available at noon that day. By the time the technician arrived, neither car could enter, the door would not operate and the exterior key panel was out!Our technician arrived in the time window we selected and set about making things work. I found records to indicate that the opener was installed in 2011, so it was way overdue for maintenance and adjustments. We opted for new springs as we learned that if one breaks, it can become a bigger problem by damaging the surrounding area - the springs are THE key to controlling the weight of the door. .Our tech, Jay Rivas, was polite, efficient and had ALL of our problems handled quickly. He also programmed the cars and the key pad . His work experience served him well and we were completely satisfied with his work.

I got home from work a little after 5 and my garage door would only go up about a foot. I said a few adult words and came in the backdoor. I took one look at the door and one of the springs was broken. Since I have become very attached to my fingers I realized this was a job for a pro. The technician stunk to high heaven! I understand these guys are working out in the heat but they can carry Ax Body Spray and use it before meeting with customers. They came to my house on a Saturday and had to order a new spring system. They tentatively scheduled finishing the job Wednesday and said repeatedly someone would call me Monday morning to confirm if they could get the part by Wednesday. No one called so at 3 pm Monday I called Precision and was told they would check on it and call me back in a few minutes. No one called back so I called again Tuesday afternoon. I was told the part wasn't ordered until Tuesday and it takes 5 days to receive it. Why wasn't the part ordered on Monday morning? Why didn't the technician know the turn around time is 5 days since they order these spring systems often? Poor customer service in every way.

The garage tech who provided me with a new motor was great. He explained everything in detail and was really kind. What I don’t understand is why it was so expensive. I also just had to have a tech come out because the sensors were getting tripped by the sunlight and I was told I would need to pay for a $197 service fee for them to apply $30 “sun shades” on the sensors. They told me it was free estimates. The service guy said he couldnt give an estimate until he reset the door, charged me $250 for 5 mins of work then proceeded to try to sell me on a whole new door. Very overpriced and high pressure. I wouldnt reccomend this company to anybody. Bunch of crooks

I want to thank Elite Garage Doors and Gates for being available first thing Saturday morning when we needed them to replace the spring to our garage door. Cameron and John were not only prompt but they were also very courteous and informative when replacing the spring and cables to the garage door. Before leaving they made sure to lubricate the spring and all the moving mechanisms to the door, also made sure that everything was in proper running order.

Our Smart Control wasn't working correctly, called Elite who did original installation. They came out, said control needed to be replaced and was under warranty. However, they want $211 to install it. This is a wall mounted Smart Control, 2 wires and 2screws. Total rip-off!

Elite is the successor to Preceision Garage Doors that we previously used. They were easy to contact and schedule a repair when our spring broke. The service man Martin was efficent an knowledgeable. The door opens as it should. We will use them again, but hopefully not to soon.

I'll be polite and just say you should seek out other options ... I had a less than stellar experience with Elite say the very least. Also other than emergency service (no choice in those situations .. all companies charge around $300 for that service), ALWAYS get multiple bids (min of 3) before signing up for any work that will be scheduled to avoid getting ripped off

When repairman arrived the gate opened & closed by putting 2 wires together. He quoted $295 to fix. He repaired the gate so that it didn’t work at all and then charged an additional $200 to actually fix. He tried to charge an additional $400 but we made him come down by showing him that a part he said cost $250 actually cost $50 on Amazon.

Your wholesale cost is probably $300, so the markup seems excessive.

The customer service need to take down the right information. They told me there isn't a service call charge. The tech would give me a quote and then I could decide if I wanted them to fix the gate. The tech was here about 20 min. and charged me $320. That charge is outrageous. Probably won't use you again.

When I called Elite Garage Doors Repair, I was informed that they are unable to help because of the time it would take to send a technician out. In addition, they were rude and unhelpful. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I called Elite Garage Doors Repair, Openers & Security Gates to repair my garage door opener. After one hour of waiting, they told me they were done and it would be better than new. They charged me $250 for the repair, but when I got home, the garage door would not open. I called the company back and they told me the garage door was broken because they did not repair it. I then had to pay $250 twice to fix the garage door. Don't use this company!
