Last night, the lock on my front door jammed. Even though these gentlemen were booked solid, they generously took the time to recommend other locksmiths who might be able to help us escape the house. These guys know what’s up. Had a whole service truck that needed to be rekeyed, I can’t remember who I worked with, he came out looked at the locks, and cut the correct key. I was beyond impressed. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, also a cool store. 10/10 if you need a key cut and or locks, this is where you want to shop and give your business.

OMG I originally tried to get a temporary key to get in a Chrysler Crossfire that we bought. My husband locked the only key in the car on Saturday tried to go through the dealer to get a temporary key and it's not available because they said I have to go through Mercedes and when I called Mercedes they said nothing for Chrysler Crossfire through them. Well I finally broke down and called this company and it was wonderful Jeremy came out the next day and took 5 minutes to break into the car through the lock. It was wonderful and I guess I should have started there to begin with we won't talk about how much a keyfob cost through Chrysler! But since only one came with the car I think it's important I get another!

I took my new fob to Downtown Locksmith they programed it quickly and courteously. Very good people and service.

Was referred by Arizona lock and safe. Needed to replace a 3 button key for a 2019 Toyota 4Runner. I was disappointed to have driving downtown only to be told they would have to order it. They said it would be a week but they got it in 3 business days. There was one customer ahead of me when I ordered and when I picked up and both visits took about 15 or 20 minutes. Only 2 parking spaces in front with 3 or 4 more in back. I'm confident they can handle any lock issue. I didn't ask them about mobil services.

Amazing selection, wonderful staff and excellent service!!! Not only was I blown away at the amount of personalized keys they had available but the gentleman helping me knew his trade well, with just a glance at the keys I was looking to get made he was able to tell me what kind of key I needed to use as a blank for it to work properly with my lock. I was was able to get in and get what I needed done in less than 10 minutes not to mention everything was extremely fair priced SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES

Andrew did great job on my lock cylinder where several other highly rated local locksmiths were just stumped. Very knowledgeable and knows the craft. He went the extra mile to get it done and then charged a very fair price for the work. I recommend him highly.

This business does commercial & residential as well as keys for your automobile too! It was late afternoon when i walked into their office for a automobile key for my roommate & the next morning i was the first appointment of the day. The Mobile technician Jeremy was awesome and handled our situation with care!

From the moment I spoke with them on the phone, they were there within 20 minutes. Gary showed up with his wonderful wife Adele as this was after hours and proceeded to fix the lock with another employee Alfonso. This was a great experience. I wanted to get some spare keys for my motorcycle and I kept hitting wall after wall. I finally got referred over to Downtown Locksmith and I'm so pleased with the service. It is an actual brick and mortar store, for starters. That's a huge plus since I'm more comfortable with the level of skill with someone who can keep a shop going and not just have a mobile service, especially since this wasn't an emergency so I didn't want to have to spend $60+ for a visit. The gentleman who waited on me was very kind, cheerful and professional. He had me check the keys before I left and took the time to explain to me why his keys were going to work better than my old one. The price was MORE than fair and he did a superb job. This is the only place that will get my business from now on. I do wish you had slightly different hours but that is a tiny inconvenience I will gladly work around. Thanks for my keys!

Love the service here. Had them to our house to rekey many locks, then visited the store a couple of months later to get key copies made. Very professional and good service both times.....1 year later had keys made and asked and received excellent advice. I reccomend them

I use them because they are local but my visit today was anything but helpful. Needing a simple key I waiting 20 minutes while Andrew chatted up a customer about a rare key. Never once was I acknowledged and only the customer was apologizing to me for how long I was standing there. When I asked if somebody could help me copy a basic house key I was told no. He did not say sorry, I will be with you in a minute, or sorry for the wait, or ask the customer in front of me if they could take a quick pause in conversation.
If you staff low, I understand but give your patient customers a little grace and understanding rather than ignoring them and letting them walk out the door. As the banner above your counter reads business goes where it is invited and stays where is is treated well the same goes for your customers. We come where we are served well.

had a problem with my front door. Alfonso the technician came out and was able to fix it. Readjusted the door and reset my roller catches. Door has not shut well form years. Now it shut great and tight. No more worries about the door opening and my dogs getting out. Would recommend them greatly.

I had a good experience here. I had to get copies of a do not duplicate key and they told me I needed a letter with my company letter which stated I had permission to make copies. I think this is awesome because not only is it professional, it helps to keep people safe. I appreciate that.

This place is great. They do vehicle keys as well as house keys. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and made sure my keys fit my car before I took off. Really fast service as well. I would recommend him to anyone.

Needed new Audi key... Andrew gave me a quote , them told me he didn't have key and would call me back....called him back 3 times bcoz it was an emergency, he never responded. Completely unprofessional, would never use them.

I just moved from WA and needed to get a key made for my fire safe that I had lost. I had to replace the key years ago in WA and paid $20 there. The locksmith here in AZ only charged me $15 and he was was nice enough to carry my safe into the store for me, and back out to my car. Such a gentleman ;-)

I presented Downtown Locksmith with fairly difficult problem, to duplicate a Key from a rare 46 year old car that only used the particular key pattern for a single year. The shop was able to duplicate the key because the took the time to cut it exactly. I am happy to say the key works better than the original. Extremely Happy

Andrew....your are the BEST!! We brought in our RV/trailer keys to be duplicated. One could not be because it was split/broken and needed to be retired. They were open and the shop was very nice to browse while waiting, which wasn't long. I have a roll-up desk needing a couple specialty locks. After visiting I am going to ask for him to evaluate and fix. I let you know how it works out.

I had a 100 year old lock for a door that had no key. They spent about an hour turning up the lock and making me custom keys for it.
It now works awesome.
The guy working there was there was a true craftsman and very helpfully.
I would definitely recommend this place.

On 7-19-19 went in to their shop with an ignition key problem with an aftermarket key. The problem was quickly diagnosed and expertly fixed by their technician. Their service was quick and efficient and the cost was minimal. I highly recommend Downtown Locksmith for any locksmith needs and they are my new go-to source for future locksmithing needs. The owner himself, Gary Sachs, came by to re-key all my doors. I met Gary last fall at an industry event and he explained how he runs his business with integrity and fair pricing. When I called, I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours! Gary was on time for our appointment and very courteous. He worked quickly and was very neat and clean. I had several items I needed assistance with. A rekeying, a couple cylinder recodings, and a broken keround trip. I had seen the other reviews then called to see if the things I needed could be done.
I was helped by Andrew who was quite knowledgeable with all 4 of my items needed. I was pleased with his craftsmanship, abilities, and expedient service.

Good honest folks. They were even able to originate a key for the 120 year old antique lock on my home.

I strolled in here about 15 minutes before closing time, not realizing my car key and fob were going to take quite a while to make. The locksmith graciously stayed as long as he needed to, and I was able to go home with my key. Thank goodness I didn’t have to drive all the way out there an extra time!

This is a very unique place. It was located on 7th Av. just South of Roosevelt Street somes years ago.This facility has the ability to make copy of keys that no other palce is able. Thanks to this business, we can carry on with our daily lives.

I went to jack in the box when we were broke down here.

Called them in a state of absolute terror after having my lock picked by a stalker. The person on the phone reassured me that they were sending a locksmith with many years of experience--I wish I could remember his name. When the locksmith got there, he reassured me that the new Schlage he was installing was so resistant to picking that locksmiths usually just drill them out because even they can sit there for hours trying to pick one. On my Airstream travel trailer, the locks for the outdoor storage boxes both were not working. The tech showed up on time to repair or replace the locks. The job turned out to be very difficult, so he called in another tech for assistance. It ended up taking several hours and the old locks had to be drilled out and replaced. I was worried that the bill would be out of control with the time they spent, new locks and keys, etc. The repair was completed professionally and I was only billed thr original quote. I am very satisfied and would recommend Downtown Locksmith to anyone for lock and key services needed.

Scheduled my appointment for 4pm. It was 430 no call from neither the office or the technician. Until I called them and was told there was a miss communicate between them. Shorty after I notified them of the wait the technician called and informed that it would be no more then 40 minutes. He did apologize for the mix up. After waiting an 1hour and 42 minutes late for my class he finally shows up. He walks out with eyes blood shot, white t-shirt untucked, pants bangy and no name tag or even matching clothe. He parks right behind my car which is on the street. As he parks he blocks my drive way so my sister leaving can't get out. I ask him if you could move the van. His reply was wait one minute. So if finally moves enough for my sister to leave but again proceed to park right be hind me once again. After a few minutes I ask him if you would mind moving in front of my car where he wouldn't be blocking the drive way. Is say yes and tells me to wait one minute. Never moves the van and my sister when she returns is forced to park behind him. So he half complete the work and says he can finish tomorrow. I asked if the same time would be okay which was 4pm. He states he has more jobs up east and it would be hard for him to drive all the way back to my house. He then says if he can meet me at my work which is closer. I let me know it is private property and while I'm working they can have vehicles park that do not belong. He kept insisting on meeting me at my work because it would be more convenient for him. So I told me I would see wht I could do. So now not only was he late, not dressed professionally, no customer care for my family or my job. Then he tell me it would be 260 because it was already late in the day when he started so it would be extra. I will never use this company ever again. If they have people this him representing there company then I'm sure they will be out of business in no time.

Had excellent service. wasn't able to get my specialty key made but they were very friendly and didn't charge me for the one they tried that didn't work.

My sister had a broken key to her car, took it in to see what can be done and the guy cut it exactly how it should be and said it might not work.so than we went out to the car and bam car started right up. Only a couple bucks for it as well great service friendly people.

I have been a returning customer here since way before I lived at my resident address in North Phoenix. I came a few times in the past when I lived up the road, which dated way back to 2014? Ever since my first great experience here I stopped going to ACE/ Walmart etc for my home keys/ padlock keys/ mailbox keys/ pool keys etc. The one time I came was when I first started coming back. After a foul instadent with the Walmart kiosk machine at chrstown I didn't care at this point about cost knowing the keys was cheaper than Walmart. So I went back to Downtown Locksmith! Since it was on my way home! Ever so often when I come in we will discuss how each other's day is going, and sometimes he even explains how the keys are usually better than anywhere else and trys to remind me every time I come in not go anywhere else like I did the one time. The older guy at the desk has great customer services, and I will keep coming back. I'll go as far as even having my friends and family ship there keys to be made here. Downtown Locksmith has great quality, great prices, And the customer service is better then anywhere I've been! I will be returning on Tuesday Feb 26 to get one more key made again! Keep up the great service guys!

Seriously, these guys are THE BEST! I’ve gone to downtown locksmith for Car ignition key, motorcycle key, van door locks re-keyed, home door lock keys, re-key rental property doors... Ea time they’re FAST & best prices in phx! When I lost my motorcycle key & nobody in Phx wanted to help me they did! They researched it & had it done by closing time SAME DAY! They r Gods! What r u waiting for? GO NOW! U will love em too!!!

I would take any negative comments made here with a grain of salt. This shop has helped me on NUMEROUS occasions and was always informative and fair with their pricing. The only reason I am here today is I lost their card and needed to use their services again and needed their phone number.

The key to my car door broke in half and it was a little twisted and they made me a duplicate key from the two pieces I had with no problem and it was way cheaper than any other place I called.

This company is a SCAM!!!! They mislead their customers, quoting them an amount that is totally different from the actual cost. They won't give you a price until the vehicle is unlocked. So basically your stuck with the bill.
