Travis was professional, prompt, and personable. Completed the repair on a day when there were 2 inches of snow on the ground and the air temp was -5. Extremely pleased with the service and the tech, though I feel the pricing was a bit high. I am by no means an expert, but $660 to replace a kitchen faucet seems a bit excessive. Other than pricing, could not have been a better experience. Travis is an asset to your organization.

My experience was horrible. I had a tech come out on Monday, who told me I needed to flush out my line for $1,200 then he would need to come back and replace all of the sewer lines because they had collapsed which would cost me $11,600. He said they would have to dig up the sidewalk and streets and all of that was my responsibility to fix. I scheduled him to come back the next day to flush out the line. When he arrived I told him someone else had called the same office and was told it would be $375 - $550 to flush out a line. He called and they wouldn't honor the price given on the phone, so I told him I would call someone else. I had another plumber come out and look at it and he said he would have charged $375 to flush out the line but it was actually the city sewer lines that had collapsed and were giving me the issue. He said that it was the responsibility of the city to repair and fix! The city came out and confirmed this, of course the second plumber didn't get the business or the money, which I am sure is why Benjamin Franklin lied to me all the while knowing it was the city sewer that had collapsed. I would have lost THOUSANDS of dollars if I would have believed what the tech said. Also I paid the Benjamin Franklin tech $100.00 as a service fee for when he came out. It cleared my bank two days later, yet the office called saying they never received payment! STAY AWAY!

Dalton was punctual, assessed the problem with the drain and pipes, presented several options, and was efficient, professional and fast. This is a fine company.

Kyle was very friendly and professional. He explained what the problem was with my toilet within minutes. Repaired the toilet within fifteen minutes or less and found whatever discount that was available to lower the price even more. Great value and service from a true professional.

Benjamin Franklin was prompt in their appointments with us and gave us several options to solve our sewer line problem. This was a major repair and a huge investment on our part. We got more than one estimate and this is the company we chose. These folks were friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and fairly priced. We would use them again (but hopefully, we won't have to!)

Called BFP on Thursday morning explained my leaky bathroom faucets and also the humming soundscoming from our pipes.. I was given two options for a time that day a plumber could be at our house.I was notified 30 minutes ahead of Bruce arrival and he was right on time. Bruce got right to work on our problem of the humming sounds and fixed that problem and on to the leaky faucets. He was very courteous and knowledgeable and got all issues taken care of. He even told us about a coupon available online to help save us some money😃Will recommend BFP to friends and family. And will ask if Bruce is available to service our needs.

We had to have a new water line installed from the meter to our house and we had to replace a leaking water heater. The crew did great work. During the job I had a few concerns with the work done up to that point and they resolved them without any resistance. The price was very fair. For once I did not feel ripped off by a plumber.

Showed up within 30 minutes of my calling them. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Had the parts they needed on their truck. Fixed the problem in no time. Great Job!

Very personable, very thorough. Explained to me different parts or what they were for and changes that had been made in the different codes since our previous water heater was installed. Would definitely recommend.

Work is great but is prohibitively expensive. I was charged $320 to replace a valve on a toilet (which was about $15 in parts and took about twenty minutes) and was being upsold to replace the entire toilet for $700. I can't fault the work, but the price was twice I was expecting on the high end - I wasn't given an estimate when I originally called.

Once again, Benjamin Franklin came through. Travis came, diagnosed the cause of the problem, and stuck with it until the issue was resolved. I am impressed with the high quality skills of those who work for this company. Highly recommend!

Very expensive. After spending literally 9 minutes to replace a small pinhole-sized leak in one of our pipes, the bill was $450. After paying the technician, he proceeds to randomly tell us that he had cancer and thinks he got the cancer from the water we drink and that our water has so many chemicals in it that we will get cancer from it. He tests our water and says that we have so many chemicals that we are off the charts and basically showering in pool water. Of course he then says they have a $3000 unit that will filter our water for us. How dare you threaten us with the idea of getting cancer from our water?? Scare tactics aren't appreciated, especially after we just paid you almost $500 for 10 minutes of work. Will not be using this company again.

Had a water heater go out quickly, and had them come over to replace it. Their prices are quite higher than I would normally expect, but the plus side was I wanted to upgrade from a 40 to a 50 gallon tank, and they were able to do it that day. And they did a very professional installation That is OK if I am paying extra markup.. the ability to meet my requirement of a bigger tank when I had been taking cold showers for about 12 hours was what I expected. Re the previous comment about offering a service contract at the time of installation.. that's just sales. They can add it at a later if that is what you want. Knowing what service contracts they had up front is more important to me.

Bruce was on time, courteous, professional. He advised me on his findings and how he was going to fix the situation. He did so efficiently. Asked me if I had any other needs. Offered to check my water heater. He did check it and found it to be within it’s life timeframe! There was no charge for his visit. It was a customer service call to check and see. He gave me good information for when my hot water heater needed replaced.I really like the text sent ahead of his visit with his picture and when he would be arriving!I am sending Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to our H.O.A. Secretary to go on our community referral list.I will be calling them for any plumbing needs!

During the February sub-zero temps, we had what we thought was a busted pipe, but Matt Salter was able to identify the real issue and provide tips for the future. His experience was evident. We were very pleased with Matt and the overall experience.Also, Benjamin Franklin (like all other plumbers we called) was booked for several days, but unlike others, BF put us on a waiting list, and called us back the same day when the schedule opened up. Since our water was off for the entire house, this was a tremendous relief. It saved us at least three days without access to running water.I would highly recommend Benjamin Franklin and Matt Salter for your plumbing services. Thanks, BF!

Being new to the area I wasn't sure who to call for my plumbing issue when I read the reviews for Ben Franklin Plumbing I gave them a call. The young lady who answered the phone was professional and wanted to schedule as soon as possible. I was told the plumber would be there between 10:00 am and noon. I was given his name and that the truck and his uniform would have the Ben Franklin logo on it. At about 9:10 am I received a call saying Kevin was on his way to my location. When he arrived he was very professional and polite .He put booties on over his shoes before walking through my home to get to my plumbing issue. Kevin showed me the problem and explained the fixing of my problem along with the price for the work. I agreed on the price and Kevin went to work having me all fixed in about 30 minutes. I will continue to use Ben Franklin for all my plumbing issues.

Great, knowledgeable boiler repair man but, not his fault, terrible price gouging. I paid $1,574 for parts and labor on a part I could have bought online for $235. As I had very cold kids, I paid it, but it was painful to do so. For the record, the techs spent a total of four hours , including diagnosing the failed part, driving to and from Lenexa to get the part, and installation. UPDATE: The owner followed up and offered us a discount on a subsequent service/repair.

Bruce did a fantastic job. Above and beyond the scope of the contracted work.He replaced my PRV (and more) and placed 2 hammer valves in my home.During our initial consultation I pointed out to him the low flow in all our upstairs faucets. These were recently replaced by another (NOT) plumber.Bruce determined that the previous plumber did no install the sinks correctly.Bruce took his time to look online and correctly diagnose the problem. He corrected the problem on ALL my upstairs faucets (including one that he wasn't even supposed to repair).It gave us a flow and usability that we had never had in the past on all our upstairs faucets.Bruce is the real deal. He did fantastic work and, again went above beyond the call.A fantastic value for superior and warranted service.And he came back today to address additional issues. He was a Star!

I only gave them a 2 because the information that I received was helpful. Had a clogged pipe in the kitchen. Plumber stated that he couldn't get through with the auger and that I may have to have the entire pipe replaced for $1000. paid the $182 for the attempt. Decided to cut copper pipe out myself and didn't find any place in it that an auger wouldn't go through. Not sure if I would use these guys again.

Jake went above and beyond to locate a secondary and then a tertiary problem we had that were unrelated to the initial call but actually complicating it all. He could’ve just done the basics and in a few days these other problems would’ve shown up. I’m very thankful that he took the time to be thorough.

Both times that they have came out they have been great! I signed up for there 14.99 a month service plan and it has already paid for it self! They fixed a clog that I have had in my drain for years. No other plumber has been able to get it , I seriously cried I was so happy! Great service, great company!

Madonna in response to your response below. You are correct I asked for a ballpark price on jetting a line. I told you it was a 4 sewer main and you said you could go out to 150'. Pretty typical job. The tech that came out quoted $1200 the day before, I called you when I was on my way to meet him and Kelsee at her house for your tech to potentially do the work. You stated to me it was typically $325 - $550. Very moderate quote for not being able to see the job. I confronted your tech on his price of $1200, he stated he was just reading from his iPad price list. He called you to confirm what you had told me and you stated you did state that but you thought it was for a two inch line.... Who's going to jet 150' of 2 line? You wouldn't stand behind your words and its clear from other reviews you just comment back when you get a negative review.I was standing there when your tech called you. He was never instructed to pack up and leave. He sat in the driveway for 30 more minutes hoping and praying that single homeowner would bite on your ridiculous bid and pay your company absurd amount of money. He was very undertrained... where he said the sewer line was and it actually is was completely off ( Like flowing up hill ..OFF) he quoted $11,600 to epoxy line or CIPP the line but had no idea how far it was from house to city main. You write in your comment to Kelsee's review that you tried to set up an appointment with me... Yeah I knew one was already done the day before and he was coming back to stick it to her pocket book. Yes I called you on my way to her house. What a game? You call this a game? If this is a game your losing. You should have nothing to hid as far as what your techs quote in the field and what you do over the phone. This is someones home your dealing with. The single most expensive thing most people buy. And your company wants to take advantage of people that typically don't know any better. You buy into the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchise.... but sadly Modonna thats just makeup on the bruise. Still ugly on the inside.I have filed a complaint with HWA warning them of contractors like you so you don't TRY and take advantage of someone else. Your company and specifically that tech might be great at fixing small plumbing jobs but this is definitely over your head. Now go ahead and write your response below...........

Both technicians were very professional, knowledgable, and courteous. We were very satisfied with our service.

Our kitchen flooded within a month of buying our first condo. The Ben Franklin guys showed up in under an hour on a Sunday and fixed the problem. It was a very reasonable fee. They even wrote up a description for our management company explaining that the clog was not our fault

We had two issues. He was quick to diagnose the first and recommend a solution and quickly repaired the second issue. The cost was better than expected.

Kyle did an excellent job at unclogging my kitchen sink line. Turns out that the clog was much further down the line then he expected but through patience and perseverance he was able to get the clog out! Now my kitchen sink drains great!

We were pleased with Nick Purifoy coming out to the house and look at the job, explaining in details how it would be done and for also making an appointment for the job within just a couple days later which was wonderful, thank you Nick. My personal experience with this company has been fantastic!-Prompt same day service (at least when I've needed it)-Great system set up to let you know when they're arriving-Fair, honest pricing. There was an issue with our plumbing that resulted in our toilet water backing up into our downstairs shower....super gross! We needed help asap since this was beyond our DIY skill level. I love working for Benjamin Franklin plumbing. I have never worked for a company that has taken care of its employees just like they were family. I think of all the employees and owners as family and honestly can't wait to get to work. All of the employees attend classes three times a week before we start our work day to train and learn about different products. I cannot recommend Ben Franklin plumbing enough. After getting multiple quotes that were much more involved and expensive, Tyler came through and helped me find constructive solutions to a hellish situation. Tyler (and Clayton! A gem and hard worker) talked me through a total overhaul of my basement plumbing. Although it ended up being an expensive project, I know I got the best value. Plus they were helpful and empathetic throughout a very involved process. Ben Franklin will be my go-to for honest, fair, and helpful solutions (although I hope to make this the last plumbing experience necessary for some time.)

He did an excellent job. He was efficient and courteous. He gave me several tips for maintenance. In short, he was professional and personable.

Had a leak around toilet. Turned out it was a leaking cutoff valve. He came right on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, and finished the work in a short time. Overall less than 24 hours from the time I called until it was fixed. Plumber was personable and professional.

Bill returned on Tuesday with Levi to again scan the sewer so they could find the precise location of the blockage and give an estimate for repair. Once again I felt they had our best interest in mind as we were given options. Bill co-ordinated everything, the sewer repair,replacement of the driveway,even the paperwork to apply for financing.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Benjamin Franklin. I called dispatch and explained to them that I had a major flood at my house due to a washer malfunction. My insurance company said they were requiring a plumbers report for the washer before they would approve my claim. Dispatch said they had someone in the area and could send them right away.Marshall showed up in about 30 minutes. My house was torn to pieces, still in the drying process from the the water damage and literally 100 degrees inside. He was so friendly and understanding of the difficult situation I was in. I explained to him what the insurance company was asking. He quickly performed the inspection, wrote up a report and sent it to me within no time.It's obviously been a very difficult few days in our household. Benjamin Franklin took one of the many tasks I've had to complete and made it so easy from start to finish. It probably seemed like business as usual to them, but anything to make our lives easier in a time like this means so much. I would not recommend this place they are very misleading and they have things on their website that are not truthful today I called this morning to see about getting a shower install or shower estimate and was told that sorry they don't do that.Clearly on your website it states there's no plumbing job or shower job too big or too small but when I call to get the service or an estimate for small shower install I am being told no.what I waste my time and calling your place of business when you false advertise services that you don't provide stay away if they'll lie about a service they provide I can only imagine what they'll do when they get in your home

Great Customer Service as well. I received a next day morning appointment they called before they came. The plumber was able to clear my drain pretty quick. I would recommend this company. As a new homeowner, I panicked when something went wrong with the plumbing on the first night we stayed there. Visions of thousand-dollar repairs danced in my head as I searched the web for a plumbing company. I landed on Benjamin Franklin and couldn't be happier. From the woman on the phone who calmed my nerves to the plumber, Kevin, who took care of all my issues, the experience was pleasant. It didn't cost near as much as I Feared and Kevin discussed the costs with me beforehand. The fact that they were able to respond within an hour of calling was also I HUGE plus. Kevin solved my problems and was very nice, polite and knowledgeable. He even tolerated my very friendly dog. Thank you Benjamin Franklin!

BEWARE - these people could not care less about their customers! I have used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in the past, but I severed ties with them today because they have OBVIOUSLY changed their customer-centric business practices. They do NOT care about you or your property - just getting their money!! I have been dealing with a water main leak for months and have had to get my insurance company involved. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing will NOT provide detailed diagnostics to me or the insurance company and demanded a full, very high, flat rate payment for an entire re-run of a waterline BEFORE they even know what's wrong. They, in essence, expected a blank check to come out to see what was going on. Dealt with their receptionist - Leah - who called the night (6PM) before the job was supposed to be done, from a restricted phone number no less, telling me remittance of full payment needed to be made. Spoke with manager - Kate - the morning they were supposed to be here. She was rude, condescending and spoke over me the entire conversation. She told me that she was not going to bring her heavy equipment out to do a diagnostic to submit to my insurance company, only to wait for weeks for payment. I never received an itemized estimate (required for insurance) and was told they only give flat rates for an entire job. So, I have NO IDEA what each item was that they were charging for - just they wanted money up front. When asked how they expected me to pay in full for a job that they had no details about, she simply stated that is their business policy. I was willing to put a reasonable deposit down to begin work - I don't expect them to work for free. But that's like bringing a car into repair shop and the shop demanding you pay them the full amount for replacing an entire engine before even looking to see what is wrong. Could be a $10 spark plug, could be a $2000 engine block - who knows?? Just pay us first and THEN we'll tell you what's wrong! I will NEVER do business with nor send business to this company ever again. Nor should you!Response to Owner: I posted a photo of said estimate. As stated, most insurance companies need itemized estimates - which you are unwilling to provide. My insurance adjuster was astounded and suggested I steer clear of companies who require payment for a job that are unwilling to be forthcoming in what they are charging FOR...not just giving a random amount!

Ben Franklin Plumbing went above and beyond the call of duty last week, staying until midnight on Friday night to install a new hot water tank, and waiting to make sure everything was working properly before they left my house. After realizing YouTube doesn't always provide the best DIY solution videos for home water pipe repair, I knew I had to call professionals to come over quickly to fix my failed attempt. I researched local plumbing repair companies around KC and found several options with high ratings and decided to give Benjamin Franklin Plumbing a call. I proceeded to explain the water pipe situation and that our family of four wouldn't have running water again until their expert could come out and fix it, hopefully ASAP. The gal who answered was nice and could only book an appointment the next afternoon. (Fortunately my wife didn't throw the new pipe wrench at me after learning she'd have to shower at her sister's across town temporarily after my little mishap.) The next afternoon, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing called to cancel the appointment due to an emergency situation that came up and that they could try and send someone out the following day. No further explanation was given me. I told her that my situation was pretty serious in that we still didn't have running water. She couldn't have cared less. I wondered if their plumber simply needed a day off or what could possibly have come up to leave a new customer in the dark, so-to-speak. I replied, with a bit of irritation, that I needed someone out that day to fix the issue and restore running water. With no other option offered, I canceled my appointment and called AB May, the other company I had considered initially. They responded quickly and efficiently that same day with much appreciation. If ever there are future YouTube mishaps, I know who I can rely on for future help!

Outstanding..... while this was the fourth service call in the course of six days they didn’t give up and take the easy why out. I fully believe most companies would of took my money and continued to charge me for additional work. I have had the pleasure of actually see a company and it’s employee’s put the needs of the customer first. Even the office staff has been so gracious when speaking with them on the phone. This was Royel’s second trip to the house. He was upbeat and expressed his willingness to assist with resolving the sewer blockage. Isaiah his assistant mirrored the same willingness. The day before a crew had attempted to Chain Grind our roots and had hit a blockage. Not giving up on the process, recommended an additional crew come out today and camera the line an additional time. Two additional blockages was located and successfully cut through. The crew’s determination and skill appears to have resolved the problem with one more service call to grind up the root balls and flush the complete line. Royel and Isaiah are yet another great team. I have not been charged a penny more that what was agreed upon. Yes...five service calls, but they were able to save and clean a very old sewer line that will serve for many years to come. I calculate my saving by not replacing the sewer line at least $8,000.00. Tremendous new technology in conjunction with skill on the part of all the service technician. Couldn’t be happier!!

So the orignal tech that came out and snaked the line, was fine. The company sent out another tech to camera the line told us there was 2 portions of the sewer pipe broken and that it ran underneath our driveway. He then told us about pipe bursting and the $10k cost it would take to cure the issue. After the sticker price shock, I requested another service, The Plumbing Pro, to come out and provide a 2nd opinion. Not only is the pipe NOT broken but there was a belly collecting debris right out side the house in the ground in the FRONT YARD, not the driveway which is on the opposite side of the home. The cure was to dig up the section where the belly was, replace refill at 1/4 of the cost. Out of curiosity, I requested a price to blow out the existing line to see how Ben Franklin's cost held up. I was quoted $4800.I'm summation, I would advise the consumer to think twice before considering this company.

Had Kyle come out and check the drain line in our basement. Didn’t have the greatest news... it was collapsed. But Kyle was prompt, professional and courteous. He explained the various options that we had to either fix the problem or go with an effective work around. Highly recommend this service.

Jewell was knowledgeable, professional and personable. He quickly diagnosed the issue that 2 other plumbers could not and provided recommendations and an estimate for repair. He also arrived with mask on and booties on. Many service providers have to be told to do so, but not Jewell. This really meant a lot to us given that we have a baby to protect.

2/17/2021 - Matt came out to unfreeze my pipes. He was unable to get them unfrozen but he replace an outside faucet that was problematic and offered a partial refund that has yet to be issued, but i have faith. I love Ben Franklin plumbing.9/15/2020 - Jake noticed the same things that I noticed and had the same recommendations that I would have expected. He said he was taking comprehensive pictures to identify the issues, which I have not yet seen. Jake was easy to talk and listen to and seemed to know what he was doing and put me at ease rather than try to scare me into action. I would love to see if there is any wiggle room in the costs due to the sheer amount of work to be done, but that is a later discussion.

Jewell Nixon went above and beyond to identify the issues with the piping in our house. He gave us a fair estimate, he was professional, and he worked until the job was done--over 12 hours. I cannot speak highly enough about working with Jewell. If you call Ben Franklin, ask for them to send Jewell.

Once we thought the issue was 1st resolved he double checked his work and we realized there was more, he didn't hesitate to go back to work and then double checked again and had me run water for a while to make sure it was clear. We have had a lot of issues with our sump pump in the 5 years we have lived in our home. We had it replaced two years ago and added a battery back-up system. Recently, it started beeping and I called the company that installed it (and the first sump pump that they decided to replace at our cost). They said it was out of warranty and they wanted to charge us $1000+ for a service call and new battery. My husband had heard good things about Benjamin Franklin Plumbing so we called them for a second opinion. They came the next morning, in the short window that they quoted us, charged us half the cost of the previous company's service charge, and fixed our sump pump battery without any additional cost. They were professional and knowledgable. We will call them again, but hopefully not about the sump pump!

About 3 years ago Ben Franklin augured our main drain and cleared the line of tree roots, something 2 other well known companies wanted to dig up our yard for a few thousand dollars to fix. I didn't see them as miracle workers, just honest craftsmen who take pride in providing skilled service.Since that point I use Root-X clearer a couple times a year to protect against those aggressive roots. I had no draining problems, but I wanted to ensure that the line was clear. Bruce and his trainee, Matthew, arrived as scheduled, augured the line, and ran the camera all the way to the main. The line was clean and clear which gives me good piece of mind. I suggest using Root-X twice a year and schedule a main drain check up with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing every 2-3 years. THX Bruce!

Benjamin Franklin has been my go to plumbing company for both of my rental properties. They've performed minor and major work, and have always completed the work on time and effectively. No matter the person who has come out (Cade and Royle recently have been great), they answer all your questions and are transparent. I didn't really know what was my problem was--other than I had water leaking from the second floor to the first!!!-- and just wanted to get an assessment of the situation. Bruce Richardson was our plumber and he was very thorough in assessing the situation, telling us step-by-step what he was doing, and then he provided a clear treatment plan. He was able to fix everything, same day, with minimal invasion or disruption, and left the area spotless when he was done. January 2023: Master Plumber Kyle Lay did warranty maintenance for our kitchen faucet assisted by Plumber Cassidy. Kyle’s work was top-notch. Kyle inspected the faucet and immediately completed the needed corrective work. Kyle also identified actions that we might take to mitigate future maintenance for the faucet. We especially appreciated Kyle’s technical skills and ability to improve the faucet’s performance. We would be pleased to have Master Plumber Kyle Lay return and do plumbing work in our home.September 2022: Customer Service/Scheduling was able to send Master Plumber Bruce Richardson to fix a hose faucet’s stuck vacuum breaker. Bruce fixed the vacuum breaker and showed me how I could do it myself if I wanted. Bruce also tested our water quality and water pressure. Lastly, Bruce wrote alternative estimates for water filtration and a pressure assisted flushing toilet. My family was very impressed with Bruce’s knowledge of plumbing and vast experience with installation of plumbing.January 2022: I had Master Plumber Bruce Richardson return with Plumber Cooper to install a new faucet in the kitchen and repair two toilets with malfunctioning parts. Bruce installed a higher quality faucet than I can find. The install went fast and Bruce made adjusts for our sink’s unique space. The function, fit and finish of the Wolverine Brand faucet made it far superior to other faucets. Well worth the investment. Cooper’s repairs to our toilets used higher quality parts than what you find in the major hardware stores. I asked Bruce to write estimates for the future replacement of my water heater with a conventional water heater or a replacement tankless water heater. We would be very happy to have Bruce or Cooper return to work on our home.December 2021: Benjamin Franklin Plumbing’s scheduling team were professional and made me feel confident in doing business with them. Master Plumber Bruce Richardson arrived on time and looked over the work we needed done. Bruce gave us several options at different prices to choose. Bruce clearly answered our questions. Bruce got the work quickly done and answered our questions about reliability and quality of the work.We were very pleased Bruce used a Milwaukee Force Logic Press Tool to connect and seal pipe connections. This tool use meant there was no open flame used for pipe brazing.We will have Benjamin Franklin Plumbing return to do more work in our home.

Bruce helped us snake our mainline and even ran a camera down the line. They offered a great price for only $95. He is very helpful, friendly, and informative. He gave me several good options to help solve our problem!

Nick was very professional and had a great additude. There was a mistake and nick tried to fix it. He owned up to the mistake. Then when he informed the owners they had him retract his statement. Ultimately the mistake caused us to be out of our for 58 days and cost us $48,000. Just because of needing a toilet fixed. I called to get help with the issue and the owners denied responsibility. See some of the pics of damage. I ended having to go through my insurance for help.

A few years ago, they tried to give me the old lady treatment and tell me that I needed a whole new hot water heater. The guy refused to do the service I needed, and I couldn't get a refund from them for the service call. It's about six years later and my hot water heater is still running great after I fixed it myself, so... don't trust these guys--they're scammers.

These guys are professional, honest, and good at what they do. I had another local company come out and try to charge me 4 times more to replace a simple shower valve...glad I called Ben Franklin instead.

Company did a great job working around my schedule to get someone out by Monday, and pushed back my morning start for a delay on my side. They provided timely communications about the plumber's estimated arrival. Mark arrived within that time, and did solid work determining the immediate solution and options for long-term diagnosis. Great communication and follow-through, appreciated all the help and professionalism.

Worst ever serviceman. Took 3 tries (after multiple calls to get appts scheduled) to fix a bathroom faucet before I gave up. They never fixed the faucet. They showed up 3 hours late on 3rd try and didn't have the right parts. Avoid this company at all costs. I didn't pick them, the home warranty company did.

I had to use this company because of my home warranty. The plumber couldn't figure out how to put the trap back onto my kitchen sink properly after he had been there for 3 hours. He kept telling me how janky my plumbing was. Overall, pretty awful experience. I eventually just told him to forget about it and he left.

Tried to repair a running toilet, the only one bbn in the house. Upon disassembling the toilet to install new parts, I discovered the tank was cracked and had a tiny leak for a long time. Called Ben Franklin to get a new toilet since I didnt know how to put one in myself and not take a day to do it. 5 hrs after I called, Royale showed up. We selected the type of toilet and he got the old one out and the new one was up and running in 1 hour 15 min. Royale was very experienced and an affable guy. Would recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

We have used Benjamin Franklin multiple times for our plumbing needs. They are always prompt when they come. This time we just needed an estimate for some upcoming work we are going to perform. Bruce Richardson was our service technician and he was very friendly and explained what work was going to be performed and gave us an exact quote right then so there wouldn’t be confusion later.

Royale Perkins came out. Very nice man, on time, straight shooter. The price for replacing our Delta shower cartridge was simply more than we could afford so we ended up not completing the work.

Won't let me give zero stars. Had work done through a Home Warranty (which they complained about taking a loss on), and got a new hot water heater installed. After a week it won't light anymore and they won't honor the warranty. I was told 3 times that they would contact me to set up appointments, they never did. I had to contact them every time. They did setup an appointment time without talking to me once, too bad not everyone can take off work at the last minute.

Outstanding service by Bruce, I will call them again for all my plumbing needs. DId not overcharge me. Thank you Ben Franklin. Great work.

had the issue diagnosed in seconds. for the repair, I was given a 30 minute arrival time, and he was early. in addition, the installation took only one hour. he was detailed, thorough, efficient and even cracked a few jokes. explained what happened, what the likely cause for the repair was, and went into detail for all that I needed to know for the model of toilet that I purchased (which he had also recommended as an ADA compliant one for the residents walking abilities.) I was so very impressed.

However, I do not have the funds to replace yet. I had major surgery last Sept following an accident. It strapped me financial. I have been back to work in Dec and gradually progressing. 09-06-22 Marshall was our contact for seeding the lawn after the sewer line repair. Two of the sewer crew came out. I explained I wanted fescue and wanted to use spaghnum peat moss instead of straw. They did a careful job and were willing to put the peatmoss down we had purchased.We appreciate their willingness to come do the seeding! They are very polite.07-25-22. Dominic came with his assistant to replace the pipe running from the house to the city main. He was an experienced machine operator who did an excellent job. His ditch was narrow enough that not many of the landscape bricks had to be removed. He was able to remove 3 large bushes without disturbing the small plants in front of them. When replacing the dirt in the trench, he tamped it down as we requested. He and his coworkers were quiet, respectful, and answered any questions.04-20-22. Bruce came to repair our leaking toilet. He also tightened a kitchen faucet that a handyman had not installed properly (the washer was left off.) He looked at 2 other possible needs and suggested we wait and see if the problems did develop. We appreciate his quick professional work and his being honest that some unnecessary. Nice guy.Royle is courteorus and very knowledgeable. He explained clearly how the lawn drains work with the sump pump. He demonstrated that the sump pump he installed last year is working properly. Only used this company because this is who our home warranty scheduled service with. Installed new sump pump after our old one failed 4 weeks ago. One week after the new one was installed the sensor stopped working and our basement flooded for a second time. They sent someone out that night to replace the failed sensor. Now 2 weeks after that the sensor alarm went off yet again and the water level on the pump started to quickly rise. My husband had to bypass the failed sensor to get it to drain. Called them to get someone out here to fix. No one is available and I have to wait until a 2 hour window tomorrow. This is ridiculous that their product has now failed not once but twice!

This company came out and gave a quote for an almost $2,000 repair to replace a shower fixture, and I was able to find another licensed plumber who did it for $400. It’s tough to justify the price gap except to say it seems as though the plumber that came out was trying to take advantage of my grandma.

Anthony was fast and efficient, he answered any questions that I had. He has great customer service. I would definitely use them in the future and refer them as well.

We were extremely happy with the service we received from Ben Franklin Plumbing. We have had problems with our bathtub faucets since the day we moved into our home 8 months ago. I would temporarily fix the problem but eventually we needed a pro. Mike from Ben Franklin came to our house at the time that they said and all of our communication was with him (we've dealt with another well-known company where the communication within the company and with us was a mess). Mike even gave us his cell phone number! What looked like an easy and quick job turned into a pain because of the way the faucet was installed previously. It was also going to cost more than the estimate but Mike didn't rush the job and saved us that extra expense! Called late on a Friday afternoon because a tub faucet would not shut off so we had to shut off water for the whole house. They came promptly and quoted $500. I was told this was not an estimate but the price I would pay. Choice was to pay or possibly go without water until I could find someone else. The repair was finished in less than an hour. Actual charge was $426. Later, looking at the faucet I saw a cracked part is still visible. I emailed to ask what part was repaired but have not heard back.

I requested an estimate for replacing a gas water heater that is past its prime. Cody came out and prepared a detailed estimate on the sport. He answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I am still reviewing bids before I make a decision.

Just before Thanksgiving our neighbors Had a plumbing issue which required digging up their yard as well as ours. The tenant of that property told the crew that shrubs on our property were his and to tear them out.. The shrubs in question were not on their property and were destroyed. Because the tenant told them to ttear out the 25 year old plants Plants, Benjamin Franklin is absolving themselves of resposibility. Nobody wants to accept responsibility and make this right.

The technician who came to our home was very professional and worked quickly. Our only issue was cost. It was $159 just to hook up water supply lines to our bathroom vanity. That’s the only reason for 4 stars. Other than a bit of high price I would easily rate them 5 stars.

Our faucet for the hose broke last night. I called Benjamin Franklin and was able to get through at 8PM last night and someone called me back last night to get me on their schedule today. We had an appointment scheduled between 10 and noon on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised when Kyle called and said he got finished with another appointment ahead of schedule and could make it to our place earlier than expected, if we were interested. We jumped at the chance! Kyle easily diagnosed and fixed our clogged drain, and tested over and over to make sure the clog was gone. Third time's the charm!Some people might be wondering - why bring Bruce back 3x? Answer is simple. He fixed the symptom but never had a shot at diagnosing the underlying problem.Well that all changed before Bruce's third house call when I decided to demo the entire bathroom ceiling. I have admit it felt pretty good getting after it of what arguably had become the bane of my existence. Exposing the plumbing finally allowed Bruce to really diagnose the problem.Low and behold the old cast iron main line had a two foot crack along the topside! To add insult to injury, the pipe had been originally installed with zero degrees pitch to it. If you have already read my post about Bruce's first visit then we know now why the soft tissue blockage that caused the flooding all the way down to my unfinished basement.It took Bruce a few hours to cut off the old damaged cast iron pipe and replace it with PVC. He did a great job cleaning up his mess. Tested for any leaks before heading out. Job well done!We jokingly parted ways with hopes to meet again under different circumstances.I may not ever get the ceiling drywalled so I can just look at with a smile on my face. My wife won't go for it, but it is worth a shot!

However I felt it was overly costly for the work that was done even after I had torn out the dry wall and opened access to the drain pipe. As far as the work, I can only say positive things. For the pricing, I can't say anything good.

The overall price for fixing the dishwasher valve under my sink was a couple hundred dollars more than I was expecting 😬 but they did fix my issue within 24 hours and I feel confident that they set things up better than they were.

We have a busted sewer line, and because the company had a cancelation they were able to call me same day. Jewell worked hard on the clog forever and finally came up with a ball of tree root and dirt 😥 I was appreciative that he explained what was going on to me, so we know what to expect next. Old houses are no joke.

Horrible experience just trying to get an emergency service completed. Had to go thru a call center out of FL. Claim they are 24/7 but they don't have anyone local taking calls or providing estimates. Call center people don't even wrk for them. Its a 3rd party call center. Use local... real locaL plumbers instead.

Run....over $600.00 to winterize 3 toilets - 20 minutes. Price gouging. Must be paying for that fancy master plumber school. Smooth talkers for sure. BEWARE, huge safety hazard. Long story short, Benjamin Franklin installed a water heater in our home that failed to pass city code. After the city inspector, fire department and third party chimney inspector came out to investigate due to large amounts of carbon monoxide in our house, they all agreed that it was related to the water heater. Benjamin Franklin failed to follow through with the third party recommendations to resolve the issue and failed to refund our money that we spent less than 2 years ago on a water heater that failed city inspection. They were very dishonest throughout the process with us and at one point offered to replace the water heater and then went back on that offer and refused to follow through. Would not recommend that anyone use this company due to the safety concerns. Thankfully we had carbon monoxide detectors in this home or this could have been a devastating and fatal issue.

We had a leak in our main drain stack pipe. They came out and fixed/replaced a section of the pipe and did a professional job at the repair, no more leaks.

Bill came and installed a new bathroom faucet for me a couple of weeks ago. He was just great to work with. I was hoping the faucet could be fixed, but it couldn't - and he showed me why. He was not at all pushy and let me see for myself what the problem was. Once I gave the go ahead, he went right to work and installed shut off values, and the new faucet in record time. He even cleaned up everything in the bathroom - left it spotless . He was a super nice fellow and I have complete confidence in him. Then, this week I discovered my outside faucet had frozen and burst. I called and asked specifically for Bill to come and fix it. Again - he found the problem,gave me a better faucet than I had before, and left everything spotless. Levi was also very helpful and kind enough to even help me get my gardening tools carried up from the back yard to the garage - what a thoughtful person. Bill is my go to guy from now on and I wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone you'll be glad he helped you with your plumbing needs. Also Benjamin Franklin has the best price specials I've seen in town!

We had a mess in our kitchen. Old outdated out of code plumbing and a leak. Kyle came on time, quoted us a price, and fixed everything same day! Wonderful attitude even though the job was a pain! Will definitely use this company again, and hopefully will be able to have Kyle. Adding to this, we needed to have our new kitchen hooked up, install a sink and faucet, install a garbage disposal and hook up the water to the fridge and dishwasher. We asked for Kyle again and he was fabulous! We will also use this company as long as Kyle is there.

Initial Saturday meeting went wonderfully well. Handed me his card with his picture in it. The dispatcher called moments before his arrival to tell me “Nick” was heading my way for the review of projects I had. Nick seemed very knowledgeable and excited about helping me replace the toilet, shower valve and garbage disposal.I even asked about moving my washer and dryer from basement into the closet on the main floor. He was very aware of my thoughts about that project as well. He had great ideas and didn’t think it would be too hard to do.I am awaiting the free quotes for the projects mentioned. He said he might email them to me Sunday, Monday at the latest. I told him he needs a day off!

The water pressure had decreased in the kitchen faucet. We cleaned the first trap but needed your services to clear the second screen. The tech did that but in doing so the sprayer ceased to function properly. My husband felt the tech broke to sprayer toggle as he tore into the line. End result, we paid for fixing the first problem but was left with a second problem.

I would like to say that this was one of the best plumbing experiences that I have ever had. My plumber Nick was very informative and very patient with me during the whole service visit. I had a break in my service line. Communication with BPU and my insurance company was nightmare. Terry Jones inspected the damage, got me an estimate, and scheduled repairs asap. Answered all my questions and concerns. Very very polite and knowledgeable.

I had to call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for an emergency visit the day we were moving out of our house. It was extremely stressful and chaotic and then we had the added fun of two broken shut off valves. A plumber arrived within 20 minutes and had the repairs completed another 20 minutes later. I was originally shocked and quite upset by the cost of the service, however the owner reached out to me afterward and was able to waive some of the fees that we were charged. I was honestly blown away by the customer service that was offered. Because of that, I will definitely call them again for my future plumbing needs.

My air conditioner was not working and it turns out that it was only a switch turned off on the unit. Since I had to pay for the service call, I decided to go ahead and pay some additional money to have them perform a spring checkup. They came within a short time after my call and even called to let me know exactly when they would be there.They were very professional. I will definitely use them again.

They were quick to come out. I had a home warranty and they snaked my drain very quickly. They found I had a collapsed pipe and needed it fixed. They gave me a quote and left. But they left a mess in my basement and didn't bother to tell me they had flooded a part of the basement. Not the best service. I called 2 other companies and their quote of fixing my pipe was half what Benjamin Franklin said it would be. Which the Benjamin Franklin guys said that they're the same price as everyone else, not true at all.I may have just gotten a bad experience, but I will never use them again.

WARNING WARNING WARNING --- My experience with Ben Franklin Plumbing was not a pleasant one. We asked for guidance when a small leak was discovered and when their technicians visited our home, they simply looked up at the issue and did little to inspect the true issue. When we exhausted other avenues, we asked them to return to inspect the true issue. Sadly, we ultimately discovered all three leaks were a result of work conducted the year before by Ben Franklin Plumbing installing three toilets incorrectly. In each issue, they denied any fault and refused to take corrective action. I would be very cautious to contract them to do any work on your home / business. This is the first and hopefully last review given to any company that reflects negatively on them.

I cannot recommend this company. My wife and I hired them to fix the drain pipes in our basement. We went with them based on the advertising and price (specifically because they are high-priced), being that they were a larger company and we wanted it fixed correctly and quickly as we are selling our house.They have now been to our house 5 times to re-fix the original job which keeps leaking. Every guy that comes out tells us the last one didn't know what they were doing and this time it'll be done right....one guy even told us that the original job wasn't done to code, which makes me feel great.Each time we need them to come out we have to call and run through the most terrible employees I've ever dealt with. Very rude, and apparently very stupid. They can't stop telling me that I have to pay another fee just to get someone to come out. Last time they told me that they only warranty their plumbing for 30 days, even though the receipt I have says a year. For the record, I haven't had to pay the fee. I just agree and when they come out they don't charge me.Here's the best one: the last time they came out the plumber cut himself on something and bled all over our shower curtain. My wife saw him bleeding, and saw the blood on the curtain, and asked him about it. His response: It was like that when I got hereOh and we got a nice call from Madonna to apologize for the inconvenience. That's great, but pretty meaningless. Not only did I pay thousands to have this fixed originally, but I've had to take off work and lose money each time they come back. So instead of apologizing maybe refund my money. Regardless, too little and too late.The only good thing that has come of this is that my neighbors have seen their truck at my house so much they've all asked about it, and I've convinced them all to never use this terrible company.TLDR: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Stay away! Short review: they are shady and every expensive.I used Ben Franklin because they were selected through my home warranty. They came out and cleaned a clog for me and told me they felt some resistance and recommended having a camera run down the line. They came out several days later to do that, but by that time my line had backed up again. The camera confirmed that the pipe had completely collapsed. Wanting to get this fixed ASAP, I stupidly didn't get other estimates for the repair and agreed to have them come fix it the next day. They charged me $4300 to do a spot repair in front of my house, which after talking to three other companies was confirmed to be nearly twice what they would have charged.They said they would come out in the morning, they arrived around 4pm. They repaired the line and ran a camera through it to see if everything else was ok. They then told me there was a crack through the entire pipe and would need to be completely lined or replaced inside and outside the house and quoted me $10,000 for it. This was a surprise to me as we had it inspected when we bought the house less than two years ago and it was fine.After the initial shock of that I started looking for second opinions. I asked the Ben Franklin tech to send me the video of the line so I could decide what to do and he informed me he didn't record it. So, a few days later I had another company come out and run the video and I watched it with them. The line looked fine. There was buildup, but no clear crack. They then cleaned all the build up from the line and inspected it and confirmed it was fine.After this, Ben Franklin's owner contacted me as they had driven by and saw another company doing work on my line. I complained that they lied to me about the line needing to be replaced and the owner tried to spin it as preventative maintenance. That would be fine if that is what they tried to sell me, but they told me it needed to be replaced and it does not. In summation, they are shady and expensive. I will never use them again.

The owner told me that it wasn't her fault that I bought a house with bad plumbing. I spent over 10K on work that they said would fix all of my issues, but then they said I would need to spend another 2k to fix everything. Don't use these people . Some of the guys who work there are nice, but the owners are so nasty that it just isn't worth it.Madonna- As I repeatedly told you, your employee specifically said that the work they did would fix all of my issues and it did not. You were nothing but rude and nasty to me every time I tried to explain the situation. Possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My neighbors across the street also had a similar experience. Luckily I was able to find an honest plumber who was able to fix my issues for a far more reasonable price.

We hired Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for our business. The service tech quoted us a price for the repair for two toilets, and we agreed to it. He said he'd charge us for a 2 hour trip charge + the charge for the toilet repair. Well, turns out that the toilets just needed a little hook attached and the repair lasted all of five minutes. We paid over $300 for absolutely nothing. A reputable company that cares about return business would have charged less than $129 per toilet for such a small and insignificant repair. We felt extremely taken advantage of. We paid $129 per toilet plus $59 fee for just coming out. To compare, we have since had plumbing issues with some leaky faucets and hired another company who charged $189 for nearly 4 hours worth of work.

Donna and Bruce were extremely helpful with a sewer line issue. Bruce went over in detail the issue and was patient and kind. Donna came to video the line a few days later. She went above and beyond to take care of me. She took the initiative to call the city to come out and fix the issue instead of letting me navigate unknown territory. They are a professional and punctual company. I was extremely pleased with how quickly they responded and that they called with an accurate time within the two hour time window so I knew exactly when to expect them at my door. The only reason I didn't give five stars was due to them not having the part needed to fix a scheduled repair, which meant I two days instead of one for the repair.

Responsiveness, timeliness, Professional quality and value were EXCELLENT - could not have been better. Extremely pleased. I will DEFINITELY be using Benjamin Franklin Plumbing again in the future if circumstances require plumbing service.

They were great about scheduling me the next day without any problems and easily (multiple time slots available). The technician (in my case his name was Bruce) calls when they are headed over and then you get a text with a photo to make sure you know who to expect. I loved this so I knew I wasn't letting a stranger in. When Bruce showed up he was really personable, was very easy going and replaced things quickly. I have home warranty and he knew the process and was fine taking the time to work with them and everything. I had a great experience and was able to get our issue taken care of on a weekend even!

I asked for an estimate and advice for replacing the main drain and sewer line in my older home. Stu arrived with proper tools to evaluate my existing plumbing situation and explained a couple options. He promptly provided me with an email detailing what would need to be done and a breakout of the costs for those options. Friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. Overall good experience. Well done Stu.

I was most impressed with the integrity and quality of all the individuals involved. I appreciate that the job performed was what was needed and not anything extra. I like that my final bill was less than the initial bid and that they worked into Friday evening without extra costs and in fact came in at nearly $2,000 less than I was prepared to pay. The only thing that would make me happier is free, but then again, some of the worst things in life... we got free of charge.... and what did that cost you?

Travis did a great job restoring hot water to our shower due to an older faulty/corroded valve behind the handle. He also replaced the leaking water valve connection coming into our house and replaced/updatedthe pressure regulator. He was professional and friendly, explaining what the problem was and how it would be repaired.

Very expensive! Changed a $30 part and charged over $400. The service man was prompt, courteous and did a good job. Prices are set by the company.

You need to be sure and keep Jake! He's an incredible employee, and a definite asset to your company! He was prompt, he explained everything to me as he went along, and pointed out one thing I needed to get done. He's great! And it is so nice that you schedule appointments on Saturday. Truth be told, every employee I've dealt with is outstanding, not only on this job, but on previous work. Keep up the great work!

They came twice. the first time charging over $500 to fix the problem. Only to have it happen 6 months later. The second time wanting to charge another $350 to do something they should have done in the first place. So my problem is still happening as if they haven't done anything. I am going to havent' either hire another plumber or do it myself. This company cheated me out of time and money. Oh and it was the same problem and the same cause. They said they fixed it but didn’t. They just want to justify why it wasn’t fixed as not their fault but it is their fault it still isn’t fixed

We've had 90% of the plumbing redone in our home by Benjamin Franklin and we'll have them come back for the last 10% as soon as we can.I've recommended them to many friends and everyone has always been really pleased with not only the work but also the price

This was our second experience with BFP and they did an excellent job for us. We had two significant leaks in our basement that required half a day's worth of work. The technicians arrived exactly when they said they would and were very polite and professional. Once the work was complete, one of them walked us through everything they did to resolve the issues and answered all of our questions. I would absolutely use BFP again.
