ABSOLUTE-BY FAR WORSE SERVICE EVER!! I f I could give them a minus 5 stars I would. United Mechanical installed our new AC system 2017, they came recommended, and we were above and beyond pleased with their install service. A couple little issues on the front end, they were quick to come out and resolve. No further issues until 08//02/23, AC blowing but not cooling. We called United Mechanical, they sent out United CHESTER Industries, Inc, technician Clint - arrives in ratty company truck, red flag 1 - he performed a very brief/quick service - said he already knew that it was the capacitator - as they have been replacing them nonstop. R/R capacitor, billed us $284.05, AC worked. 18 days later AC failed again, not cooling. We googled how to.. purchased another capacitor - in removing the NEW one that United Chester just installed two weeks prior, it became very apparent that Clint put a used 2017 scratched up capacitor as our replacement. We tried calling them multiple times to no avail, we were transferred to voice mail several times, left very respectful voicemails - with zero call backs. After a couple days, we opted to call back to back - as every time Melissa' answered would automatically see our number and say hold please .. call would drop or no one ever picked up. Finally, after multiple attempts - paused Melissa long enough to insist on talking to a manager, we get ROBERT -- what a joke. it was as though they had already put together an unaccountable story, and he could of cared less what our complaint was. When we told him that the repair failed 18 days after the fact, and discovered the used dated part, his response was well actually we should have charged more because Clint cleaned our unit, NO HE DIDN'T, my husband cleans our units all the time, and was out there with Clint the entire time, they used our water hose, our water (of which my husband brought to him) and rinsed the downstairs unit for less than 30 seconds. We have camera footage to prove such. ROBERT offered no apology, nothing.
My husband said he felt like they should refund our money, he repeated himself with short giggle and said like I said we should have charged you more. Took zero accountability for scamming us with a used part, or the service failing after 18 days. I tried emailing thru the United Mechanical website, as you can not find anything on United Chester. But, no matter what contact email I was able to find thru Google, everyone came back as non deliverable. The $284.05 receipt they emailed, came from third party resource out of California, with no reply allowed. This company has definitely turned to ....you know what. And whatever this dba UNITED CHESTER is... my advice is as someone once sang... RUN RUN faster than the bullet...
Do we recommend United Mechanical / United Chester Industries, HELLA no! We intend on following up with BBB and AG for consumer rights for the theft by service - they should have done the right thing and returned our money or offered to right their wrong. I'm not going away and just allow them to steal our money.
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. Way too many other competitors out there to settle to what United Mechanical has become. They have stooped very low.
