Mario from Roto Rooter arrived at our home on time. We had a plumbing problem that we had called three other plumbers out to fix and they didn’t. Mario took the time to diagnose our problem. He did a deep drain cleaning and made sure everything was in good order before he left. We will call Roto Rooter first the next time we have any plumbing issues.
The technician Uriel was prompt and took precautions to socially distance. I could not be happier with the service he performed. This is the second time I have needed them in an emergency and they knocked out my problem both times in a safe and courteous manner. Andres and his team member (I think Berkeley??) came out at 10pm on a last minute phone call and cleared our floor drain. We had plumbers fix it previously and a month later it was clogged and backing up. This service came with a 6 month warranty, so although more expensive than the plumber, the peace of mind was worth it. They were extremely professional. Wore all the appropriate PPE, face masks, shoe covers, etc. They were efficient, kind, well mannered and overall I was extremely pleased with their service.
The first tech that came out was very helpful and knowledgeable. He informed us to call the warranty company once they opened the next day. After several phone calls and only getting the runaround we informed Josh that we weren’t having any luck and may just need to forget the warranty. Josh went out of his way and called the warranty company himself on our behalf and was able to get through! We were so grateful to him for this and truly appreciate it. He wasn’t able to make it out the next day to replace our water heater but his supervisor came and took great care of us. We were really impressed by the quality of service these two gave us. We definitely recommend this company and will use again in the future.

On a Saturday morning I called Roto-Rooter as my entire system was clogged. Within one hour they had a technician at my door, just as promised. Also, within 45 minutes he had the system cleaned out and working fine. The technician was a pleasant and certainly knew his job. Since it was a weekend and early in the morning, I thought the price was competitive. Knowing I get this kind of service, I'll certainly continue to use Roto-Rooter and recommend them to my friends.

Its never fun when you have to deal with a clogged sewage drain but Joshua and Sean knocked out the clog in no time and it was not an easy task. There are some jobs you really should call the pros on and mine was absolutely one of them. I live in a 1947 pier and beam home and the pipes are not the greatest. I always call Roto Rooter because they are quick to respond and efficient. They include the camera in the pricing so it was nice to see what the problem was. Joshua Ballard was FANTASTIC. He was curteous, kind and professional. I am not sure if you can make requests for certain people but if you can try to get Joshua Ballard for the roto rooter and Sean Priest for the camera run, DO IT. Those guys are the dream team for stressful situations like mine. They both went above and beyond! They were more than fair with the pricing and they did a fantastic job. They educated me and explained things very well while working in this Texas heat. I cannot say enough, how fantastic these guys were and I HIGHLY recommend Roto Rooter. If I need them again I will definitely call! Thanks again to Joshua and Sean for all the help and making a nasty situation pleasant! :)

Came after we called late at night and were very professional. The two people they sent followed all of the cdc guidelines and were generally very friendly and polite. Immediately found the issue and talked to my landlord for me. Would definitely recommend having plumbing issues with them again.

Mario was wonderful... Kind and understanding of our situation. We had a flood coming from the foot of the toilet making it necessary for us to turn the water off to the house at the street. Here it was 10:00 pm on Sunday night. Emotions are already raw and high due to a recent death in the family. This was the last thing we needed. Patio faucet had dripped since Christmas. Got tired of the freezing mess and called Roto-Rooter. We rescheduled for the following morning. Chuck called as promised, and arrived when promised. He gave us two estimates - one for replacing just the washer if he was able to get to it after 30 years of use; the second for removal and replacement of the complete faucet. Fifteen minutes later, the washer was installed and the faucet was drip-free. While doing the paperwork, Chuck expertly discussed my request for information concerning tank-less water heaters. He explained what was needed to be done and the costs associated. He suggested that, as a family of two, he suggested that the cost to replace both of our tank-type water heaters would be excessive considering our current water usage and he would not recommend them for us. Honesty, skill and integrity all in one technician!

My wife and I own an old home that that was built in the 50’s that our tenant rents. The issue was a clogged sewer line. We had 2 previous plumbers out who stated they couldn’t unclog it and recommended we install new pipes for $5,000. I said heck no! So my wife called Roto Rooter and spoke with dispatch who informed her that someone will be out within 4 hours. They sent out a tech named Kelvin. Kelvin fixed what 2 previous plumbers couldn’t. Kelvin realized that the 2 previous plumbers were running a snake into the wrong pipe. Kelvin ran his snake down the correct pipe and removed some tree roots. He also educated us on different types of pipes and installation of new style pipes in the future. Overall my experience was 5 stars from the start to the end. Kelvin was very knowledgeable, professional, kind and courteous. If I ever need a plumber in the future I’m calling Roto Rooter and please send Kelvin.

William Ewing saw my service ticket of leaking water line to hot water heater and although he knew I had an appointment tomorrow, he still stopped by between jobs just to see if he could help or at least shut water off to eliminate me actually having to have an appointment with him as he is a water restoration estimator. Called for toilet stoppage. Advised of an amount that I felt was outrageous however I needed this matter corrected. Subsequently advised line was clear however whatever was there must have been pushed down. Then I was called to be shown a handful of very clean looking and smelling “roots”. Advised the tech with camera will come next day and check further for root issues. Well, no roots seen but instead a cracked pipe on city easement. My dilemma where did these roots really come from - now I’m distrustful of entire service!

We recently bought a house had a few things happened right away that needed our attention. Unexpectedly, our water heaters release valve failed causing the water heater to puncture. Fortunately, Roto Rooter and our plumber Tony was right on it to fix the issue. Ever since then, Tony has been out to the house to update other items such as the water line to the refrigerator and discovering a sewer backup that was caused by a crack in the pipe and a large root had grown in it's place. He identified that the issue was located on the sidewalk, therefore, making it the property of the city of Dallas. We contacted Roto-Rooter after midnight on a Saturday night after a neighborhood kitten got caught in a drainage pipe, and their website stated that they do animal rescue free of charge. Although they had no camera teams scheduled, one of their people still contacted us shortly after and drove 40 minutes to help us in the middle of the night. He was prepared to dig up the pipe for us if need be (though it thankfully did not come to that).From the moment we called, Rotor-Rooter let us know that they were doing all they could for our problem and kept us informed on what steps they were taking to ensure someone came to help us rescue the animal. It helped a stressful situation become more manageable, and I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter for their responsiveness and their commitment to helping out their customers.

Came for an urgent problem within 30 minutes.
My water bill was high, so I had my meter checked for a leak and I definitely had one. I called Roto-Rooter, they came out, found the leak in no time, and got it fixed quickly. The cost was within a dime of what was quoted. They are not the cheapest, but they are certainly not the most expensive and they do quality work. I was very pleased with Kevin and Jonathan who took great care of me. Thanks, guys!!

Emilio had a real challenge to clear a clog in the kitchen sink which required clearing a clog that was 20 feet down the line. He took his time to get the job done correctly. Great work!
Andres did amazing work. He made sure he understood all of the work needed, and our concerns. He worked with me to see where he could give discounts, and did a couple of minor things with no added cost. He worked diligently and tirelessly, to get my long list of work done. He worked through an unexpected snag that came up with a faulty faucet I bought from a store. He was patient, as the issue led to more work time due to the trouble-shooting, and he continued working through my list as we got him a replacement faucet, in which case he had to uninstall the faulty one and replace it with the replacement one we got. He was quick with this work and very thorough, making sure there were no leaks and that all work was done very well, and that we were happy with it. And he explained things and answered all of my questions. He explained how to care for our drains and our dishwasher. He provided his card in case anything came up that needed follow-up. Andres is very nice and professional too! I am so very thankful he was onn call to help us.

The plumber showed up within the timeframe stipulated, was polite and professional - good experience.
Avoid at all costs. We used roto rooter in an emergency and did not have time to compare pricing. We were charged $369 an hour to change a pipe in our wall. After calling 5 other local plumbers, most charged $50-100 an hour for this exact same work. We were ultimately charged $2200 to fix a single pipe. We were taken advantage of because we were in an emergency, and they wanted to charge us an additional $3,000-$6,000 to use fans in our house to dry out our floors. We called the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners and they told us that if a company is charging that much, usually something illegal is going on. I tried to speak with multiple people to resolve our issue and they were zero help.

Tech was great and fixed and repaired toilet leak but found out there was debris in the line so no water flow. He fixed this as well! Fast, awesome, and professional and cleaned up after repair.
We used Roto Rooters for water mitigation services and plumbing repairs due to busted pipe, and they have over charged us not only the product but added the equipments they never used in the bill. Our insurance company stated they have been working with Roto Rooters to adjust the bill to reflect the ACTUAL service & equipment they have performed/used. However Roto Rooters sent us notice of lien with NO response to our email and question.Timeline: We received an email from Karan at Roto Rooters regarding the invoice initially and we replied to her stating that our insurance has been working with them to adjust the bill in order reflect the true price with the true service & equipments used. We did not receive a single reply and we just got notice of lien in mail.I would not use them if you want to be over charged and surprised by false notice of lien in your mail.

I never leave bad reviews, but this experience gave me no choice. I’ll start by saying the technicians that came out were very good at their jobs, but you also pay for it. I called them out because I had a major leak under my house and needed to file a claim with my insurance. After finding exactly where the problem was, I was told I’ll get an exact summary of what was wrong and where the pipes that need to be fixed were. He knew I needed that to submit to my insurance asap, and till today ( 4 days later), he’s stalling. After multiple unanswered texts and calls he finally answered and basically wanted me to give them the huge job that will take to repair my pipes in an exchange of that summary. Very shady, and very dishonest of what I’ll get back for the 450 dollars I paid them. The worst part about the whole thing is, he knows my house is torn up, and I need the insurance company to move forward with this claim, and still he’s not providing me with the summary. I’ll have to pay someone else to come out and provide me with a summary for my damage. If you have major work to be done, do not call them out. They will not honor what they say unless you hire them for the job.

I am appalled! My experience with Roto-Rooter was absolutely miserable. I called because I had a broken water main at my building. The initially gave me a 4 hour window (2PM-6PM) in which a technician could arrive, this is the closest they had to EMERGENCY service.Finally about 7:45PM (2 hours late) that evening a tech showed up only to tell me it was too late and that they would come back out first thing in the morning.The next morning at 8AM I got a call from their dispatch saying a tech would arrive in 1 hour, Great, except 2 hours later he had not arrived. I called their dispatch (the phone system hung up on me twice) and finally was told that the tech was 5 MINUTES away from the location. I waited ANOTHER HOUR and still nobody showed up.A broken water main is a big deal and I needed help. Roto Rooter completely failed me. If you need help DO NOT DEPEND ON THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE TOTALLY UPPROFESSIONAL AND UNDEPENDABLE!

My hot water heater blew and emptied into my living room late in the afternoon over a holiday weekend. After reaching out to two other companies, that only offered service in two days, I called Roto-Rooter. I had a restoration specialist out first thing the following morning and he coordinated water removal and the plumber’s visit. My plumber Chuck did a wonderful job. He noticed an issue with the new unit and immediately pulled it out and had a replacement delivered for installation within an hour.

This review is for Christian at Roto Rooter and Roto Rooter separately.Excellent plumber. Easy to talk to and very knowledgeable.This was our forth try at getting our drains cleared at my work.I called to set up an appointment and I told them I wanted our drains jetted out. They sent a guy out with a snake, which I told, “I want it jetted, not snaked”. The second guy comes out with a jet in tow, and I told him that I wanted it jetted and he assured me that he found the blockage and it was fixed, I took his word for it. 3 or 4 days pass and our drains are backed up again. I call and tell them “I want our drains jetted”. They send a guy with a snake. He gets the snake jammed in the pipe and calls in a guy with a camera to help him see where he is jammed up at. The guy with the camera says there is a piece of metal that dropped in the drain 8’ down that is keeping him from pulling out the snake. I looked at it through his camera and it looked to be a piece of angle iron. They give me a quote that wasn’t unreasonable for the scope of work to dig it out, but still quite a bit money. They cut and leave the jammed snake.I think about it a while and ordered a fishing magnet to try and retrieve the the piece of metal but wasn’t successful. I get our cable camera and run it down the drain and can not locate the angle iron just the jammed snake. Myself and several guys remove the jammed snake with our overhead crane and are amazed at how jammed and how much cable was down there, probably close to 100’. I call again and tell them “I want our drains jetted and a camera”. They send a guy with cable and no camera, which we sent home. We call again and tell them “we want our drains jetted and camera”. They sent Christian.Christian was there for 4 hours and jetted all of our drains in the shop and one of our offices. He did excellent thorough work. He ran the camera throughout our entire drain in the shop and located and marked our main drain to city. He steadily worked, only pausing to answer questions we asked.The 5 star rating is for Christian only. He showed up and saved the day.I’m not going to rate Roto Rooter negatively in a market where most businesses are just trying to keep their doors open. BUT there is definitely room for improvement.

I had a backed up/slow draining kitchen sink and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday 02/18. The operator said someone would be out by 6PM. I received a call back saying they were running behind and would be there a little later. A while later they called back and canceled for the following day. So on the 19 they were scheduled for 3PM. Due to unforeseen circumstances at work, I rescheduled for 4PM that same day. They said no problem. At 5:35 PM they finally called me and said they could not make it out until the following day. Due to my work schedule I had to push it back to Friday 02/21... the technician, Roy, arrived a little after 9 am on Friday. He was very polite and helpful, however he quoted me $359 just to run the auger down the drain and have someone come out on a later date with a camera to inspect the pipes. Already frustrated with the sink being clogged for almost a week I reluctantly allowed Roy to do the work. Again Roy was awesome, BUT I was able to find a local company that could have done it for about half the cost! I chose Rotorooter solely because they advertised as being 24/7...which apparently isn't true seeing as this ended up starting Tuesday afternoon to Friday morning. Thankfully my sink now drains and there's a 6 month warranty but I will probably go with a different company next time I have a plumbing issue due to the scheduling issues and price..

The plumber that came out, Nicholas came only an hour, on the same day from my desperate call. He was nice, professional, and surprisingly inexpensive. Very quick and super clean when finished. If I ever have a plumbing need again I will be requesting Nicholas at Roto Rooter. And anyone else who has a plumbing need in the Dallas area should do the same. Also 24 hours a day if you needa repair or plumbing services at 3:00 in the afternoon or 3:00 a.m. costs you the same.

Knife attach to drain auger was very small compared to invention history pictures, Camera scope of main drain confirm auger knife did not cut long hair roots growing at pipe joint connection. Drain was partially cleared, water flowing, but kitchen sink drain was not. Technician did not inspect to see an easy clean out port but wanted additional service fee. I called another plumber who cleared pipe in less than 10 minutes at third of quoted cost. 3-Stars confirms Roto-Rooter company was only interest in maximizing charge fees revenue not satisfying customer's situation.

Roto-Rooter had completed a spot repair on our main sewage line but the reoccurring issue started shortly after the repair. Several plumbers were sent out but David ran a camera in the line from our clean outs and inside the house. Got straight to the issue and underlying problem. Overall from initial phone call to Royo-Rooter customer service operator, to call back to provide exact arrival time of technician and finally the technician completing the job, the service was prompt and good.Only thing that I’d say was negative is cost of service. Roto-Rooter’s charge is significantly higher than another plumbing company that I used previously for the exact same service a year ago. Maybe because Roto-Rooter are 24/7 while the other company works only weekdays? I don’t know, but definitely the prices didn’t go up that much in one year.

The young man, Emilio, was extremely professional and courteous. He assessed the situation and gave me a price, up front, for the work to be performed. Replaced old parts under kitchen sink to help water pressure. A little pricey, but the year warranty is good to have for future issues.

The company office I work for has an older toilet and clogged. We encountered overflowed water and wouldn't flush. Roto-Rooter came and fixed the problem for us so quickly.
