Dempsey Electric

I needed to find out why mr Ring Doorbell hardwired was not working and back door doorbell was not working. He went into the attic found the problem fixed it. He was right on time scheduled and the charge was reasonable. I am 85 years old and ever need an electrician again I will certainly call Dempsey Electric again.

Not good!So in 2003 I had my whole Heights house rewired and a new outside box and powerhead, part of the seller's allowance. I had tube and knob, 1940's house. Dempsey sent out a licensed electrician and his helper. Now I have learned that NONE OF THE DROPS were rewired. See below picture, almost caused a fire. I have since learned all the fixtures and switch boxes, when opened, reveal the old original cloth covered wire.I paid damn near $5000 for the job. Now I have to call out another electrician to fix all this b/c I have renter's in there now.I am aware they come highly recommended, but I CANNOT RECOMMENDED. Update 4/28: I contacted BBB, they refused to process my complaint further b/c it is older than 12 months. I reached out to Dempsey directly, they did NOT reply. I will be going to tdlr next and getting an attorney. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

Dempsey Electric has been my savior! Over three visits one of their electricians, Manuel, has fixed a ton of work that an electrician I previously hired had completely incorrectly. Not only did this amazing human fix issues that could have caused an electrical fire in my home, but he showed me what to look for in the future.On top of the excellent work, Manuel constantly checked in with me regarding the cost of the project. Dempsey not only cares about its customers, they care about their customers' budget as well. I am so thankful to have found this company. They are my electricians from now on!

I started with Dempsey when I bought my house in 2006 all the lights were flickering. They gave me a new electrical box at reasonable price. Since then I had a plug and a switch in my kitchen needing repair. I can't say enough good about these guys. Call them around 10 am. They come out, prompt, easy to work with, friendly, family oriented and reasonably priced. I am so happy home today as my switch and dishwasher are working. I never could have fixed this myself. They upgraded the switch to pigtail aluminum wiring and better power for the appliance. Good work guys. I highly recommend you to everyone.

Dempsey Electric is the worst company ever. This company charged me 1800.00 dollars to change the breaker box of my home. It took him a 8 months to do this job which never pass inspection from the City of Houston. The job he did looks like a rookie did it. He used the wrong gauge wiring, fittings, and couplers. When it rained, water leaked in box. They made holes all over my home for no reason. I had to fix that myself. To make matters worse my AC unit went out because the main ground cable was NOT CONNECTED!!!! Don't know why he would forget to hook it back. Its was a brand new Goodman AC unit which I paid over $4000 dollars. I tried to call Roger, the guy who did the job back but never answers. SO HOUSTONIANS BEWARE OF THIS TERRIBLE AWFUL COMPANY!!!!!!!

I have used Dempsey Electric for years. As a residential customer, anyone who has shown up to perform the work has been prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous. I recently had them come out to fix a GFI issue I was having with some of my pool equipment. The plug was bad and merely needed replacement. I couldn't be more satisfied and highly recommend them.

Had a really great experience with this company and would highly recommend. The electrician that showed up was very prompt, professional and knowledgeable-I believe his name was Rodger. If you are in the Houston area and need electrical work done definitely give Dempsey Electric a call!

I just called these guys for an estimate. I can't say whether it was fair because I haven't checked around yet. And, I also don't feel comfortable mentioning what the work was or how much they quoted me here. What I WOULD like to say is that I spoke with Mr. Richard Dempsey himself. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He even offered to let me call him with any questions I have if I decide to do it myself. I can't imagine any better service than that. He sounded genuinely concerned for our safety. I still haven't decided whether to do it myself or go with the pro but if I do hire someone I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.

8:30am - 9:30am appointment, no call / no show. I called at 10:30am, was told the tech would arrive within 20 minutes... no call / no show.I called at 11am to cancel the appointment. Dempsey claimed they had an emergency call, I'm sure. How about a phone call?Unprofessional and inconsiderate.

I have had great experience with this company. Their electrician showed at my doorstep fast and ready to work. Fixed my issue easily and gave me few tips. The quote was very competitive. Overall great experience!

New to the Houston area and was referred to Dempsey Electric this week by a neighbor. Top notch service and top notch work!! Will definitely be my new go-to electrician. Thanks Dempsey Electric!!

This is a great company. I called them for some electrical work that I needed done for my home and the guys over at Dempsey were very friendly, fast and reasonable on the estimate. I will use them again for my electrical needs. Thanks guys!

Called for emergency service on a weekend. The receptionist said she forwarded the info to one of their electricians and I would receive a call shortly to receive an estimate and schedule the work if desired. That was Friday. It it's now Thursday and no one has called.

Called to ask about an estimate and was essentially yelled at for asking for the quote. I think if my husband had called, it would have been a very different scenario. Will never use them.

Called in this morning, asked when the next available appointment was, after being put on hold for about 5 minutes, receptionist came back on the phone and asked for name and phone number so give to the service manager. I advised her that all i was asking for was if the company had same day availability, she puts me back on hold for 7 minutes and then decides to come back and tell me, Oh sorry, no.Really?Customer service is the #1 priority of you are a SERVICE COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Called to get a quote and dude sounded like he was in a rush to get me off the phone. I guess they don't want the business.
