What a joke! After they made an appointment through my warranty company (First American), they no called/ no showed. When I called the warranty company, First American said Black Tie is saying they never made the appointment.
Not everyone has the ability to take off work (now for 2 different days) to sit around for a no call/ no show!
What a waste of time. You should be ashamed and embarrassed!

I met this company through their sister company, PermaPier. As a construction professional, I particularly appreciate their responsiveness, embrace of my schedule constraints, and good communication. Matt was always ready to make things happen, if I needed special attention. Their owners and top management engaged when needed on a challenging project, during bad weather, pending real estate closing, etc. I'm now a big fan.

I had a massive back up at my home and didn’t know who to call, so I asked my neighbor who he used and he told me about Blacktie Plumbing. I called them and was immediately impressed with the office staff and their concern for my issue. They got me on the schedule for the same day and came out in a few hours. The plumber gave me a no cost estimate and I agreed for the service. He then ran his sewer machine and cleared the blockage. When I asked what had caused the issue he told me that there was a large amount of grease buildup. He then asked me if I would like to get the grease out of the line. I of course said yes, but was concerned about the cost. The plumber Jeremy then called is boss Chad and asked what we could do to help me out. They gave me a combo discount and took great care of me. I will recommend them to all my friends and family as they were awesome!! I never felt pressured in any way. They made me feel like family. Matt Wise was great to work with. He was able to solve the problem with my shower in no time at all. Working with him now on upgrading our water heater system. He has explained the pros and cons on tank vs. tankless and we will be booking with him soon to complete that as well. Matt definitely gets a 10 out of 10 from us for his professionalism.

We just had Kevin Neorr with Blacktie Plumbing (Arlington office) come to our house and he was amazing beyond words. He fixed multiple leaks/drainage issues around the house in less than an hour and those were issues that we had previously called plumbers for with zero results. Such a pleasant experience! Mark was really nice and professional. Repaired an issue with the main water line in 3 hours. Very hardworking and polite. Definitely didn't need to worry about a plumber taking advantage of time and parts. I will recommend Black Tie Plumbing to everyone in the future.

So...our realtor gave us this company’s name. I called, spoke with one rep, explained what we needed, only to be put on hold and given to another rep who I again explained what we needed. We set up an appointment (for today) but not one ever called or showed up...nothing. Not acceptable! If this is an indication of their work probably for the best.

Details. I called on the day before Thanksgiving and was told a plumber was coming on that Friday between 8am-1pm. Address on Miller in Dallas. I even called after no one showed up and still never received any communication back.

Bill was amazing! The company responded quickly after the winter storm. I was out of water for 3 weeks. I tried calling multiple companies and no one responded back to me. Black Tie Plumbing responded fast and they came out right away. Everything was completed within an hour or two. I was amazed!!! They are fantastic and I would highly recommend them to everyone. You can trust them and they do not take you for granted. Bill was excellent. Thank you Black Tie Plumbing!!!

A week and a half later we had Black Tie come out again for another issue. This time it was Mark and yet again outstanding service! He was professional, friendly and explained everything that needed to be done. If I could post a before and after of the difference in quality there wouldn't be anything left to say. The connections under the sink were as clean and perfect as they could be. Black tie has the market cornered on professional employees!

My scheduled sewer repair was functionally completed but aesthetically was less than expected. I contacted a supervisor, CJ Gonzalez and he addressed all of my concerns the next day. Well done caring about customer satisfaction.

This morning Jeremy Wilkerson cane to my house to fix a clogged sink. Jeremy was very professional, he was promt, considerate and was very knowledgeable of his job. Other plumbing companies I have used never displayed this professionalism. This spoke highly of him as an individual employee and the management that runs this great company. If the remainder of the employees share the same traits he does you can’t go wrong in going with Blacktie Plumbing. I do not see

If I could give 0 I would. They do not care. Black tie was contacted through my home warranty on 08/22/18. I had to try to call them for a week just to get the initial appointment set. Then, a second appointment was needed to map the house. We were told it would be scheduled for that week 08/29/18. I hadn't heard anything, and called on 09/04/18 to find no appointment had been scheduled. After the mapping, I was supposed to receive an estimate via email. It took over a week just to get that, and that only came after I spoke with the management. I sent an email back asking questions about the estimate(as instructed). It has been a week and I have received no response. It has now been almost a month since I opened the request, and nothing has been done. These people will say anything to get you off the phone, and lie, and do not communicate at all.

UPDATE : I requested a quote from a different plumber and was quoted over $2000 less for the same job. RIP OFF ALERT

I purchased a property that needed some pretty extensive underground plumbing work done with leaks. Matt went above and beyond through the entire process with me. This was not a small task. During the job, a hot water heater went out as well. He jumped on the problem and got someone on it immediately. Jenn in the office is a rockstar. I have found a plumbing company for life. Been trying to get them to come out and do warranty work on a job done on a house I just bought. It's been around a month since I first emailed them because I couldn't get ahold of anyone. Nobody answers the phones. Only one person is answering my emails and is apologetic enough, but the guy that is in charge of the job won't reply. Can't speak to their work because I can't get them to show up in the first place!

I operate a small public water system for a community of 350 or so people. Our 4 pvc line developed a small crack and was leaking. I called this company to get a quote for repair and was absolutely floored by their quote. 3475.00 to replace a 4 coupling. less than 12 of new pipe. They sent 2 guys out to look at the job and provide a quote...I called another smaller plumbing service in Grand Prairie, been in business 25+ years...they came out did the job in less than 2 hours for 650.00 parts and labor....

Best service ever, they were Professional and gave me several options for the repair of my water heater. I choose the one I was comfortable with and they installed the next day. BlackTie Plumbing came out through my home warranty company. Mark was GREAT! He was informative, honest and very helpful. I did have to call back to home warranty, but NOT at the fault of BlackTie or Mark. A hot water heater issue that hasn’t been resolved (apparently home warranty won’t replace a bad water heater unless it leaks!). I’ve officially found my new go-to plumbing company. Great office people and Mark is THE BEST!

After having foundation work completed on my home by Perma Pier Foundation, I was contacted by Black Tie Plumbing to have the Domestic Water Pressure Test and Sewer Hydrostatic Test completed. I spoke with Matt Wise and he thoroughly explained what the test entailed. In addition, he asked me if I was available that day to have someone come out and perform the test. I agreed and Carl Orgish came out shortly. He was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. In addition, he was very patient in answering questions that I had about the process. I was extremely nervous about finding out the results of the tests because of the expense associated with it if, it if the tests failed; however, Carl calmed my concerns throughout the two separate tests. I highly recommend Matt Wise and Carl Orgish of Black Tie Plumbing to meet all of your plumbing needs.

Called black tie plumbing for a leaking faucet in my tub and they came within 30 mins the plumber was really nice and explained everything thoroughly. He fixed the problem quickly and was done in 30 mins. Highly recommend this company!!!! Trust me they do not disappoint!!!

I have used these guys a few different times. I had family from out of town staying for the weekend and had a plumbing emergency. The manager Chad called me directly on Saturday morning and within a few hours Daniel showed up and saved the weekend. Professional service and competitive prices. We will use again.

Matt Wise and his team again provided excellent service and most cost effective repair we could have hoped for, I use them because other companies were there to make money B T was there to help resolve an issue with a process of checks and balances. This easily could have been a tunneling job to free debris.

This company was assigned to me by my warranty company. I felt I had a fairly simple issue but wasn't confident in my own ability. The tech, Daniel, came out and quickly diagnosed the problem. He attempted a repair without having to replace the item but was unable to. He then replaced the item. Work was completed quickly/efficiently and Daniel was very nice and respectful. Did not try to take advantage or up-charge us for unnecessary up-sells. Thank you!

Black Tie is very capable with some excellent staff. They are affliated with Perma Pier foundation which is not disclosed as a conflict of interest when performing inspections for Perma Pier. I personally caught technician on my home security system pencil whipping an inspection in 2 minutes. The General manager resolved issue very quickly and handled the person performing poor service. Their service is excellent although they may require some audit protocols to make sure other consumers are not treated poorly by some poor individual employees. Their pricing is slightly higher than other companies but they have the tools to properly diagnose your problems whether it is big or small. I would definitely use them again.

Amazing customer service. I recently had foundation work done on my house and Black Tie was the company my foundation co used for any plumbing tests and repairs. They unfortunately located some leaks, but were able to fix them as planned. All of the Black Tie employees I met at my house or spoke to on the phone were amazingly friendly and helpful. One day my power (and AC) went out while Black Tie was doing work, I wrongfully assumed it was their fault, but when I called the Black Tie office manager Larissa went above and beyond by getting in touch with our electric company after hours and checking in on me periodically to see if the problem had been resolved. The power outage was completely unrelated to their work but they still helped me out and made sure things got addressed. Black Tie is great at customer service and follow up.

I had 2 water heaters that needed replacing and can’t say enough about how professional black tie was. I spoke with Chad on the phone who set everything up, found the best price for me and was very reasonable compared to other quotes I obtained. Brad took care of the installation and it went smoothly. They did a great job and left the house better than they found it. We will definitely be recommending them for friends and family.

Watched their work van attempt to cut a two hour line at the Racetrac at Luna and Valley View for gas on 8/31/17. May be great plumbers, but certainly zero respect for the community they serve.

I had a water pressure test performed due to a foundation leveling. Job was done by Jesus. Jesus was very informative and answered all questions with knowledge and patience. He made me feel at ease and explain in detail what the test consisted of. He was very professional and after explaining the work he was going to do, he performed his job with confidence. After completing the job, he explained the procedure on notifying Perma Pier of the results. I wish I could call him for all my future plumbing problems. You have an excellent employee. In Jesus.

Matt was so quick and helpful clearing a drain at our new house. He took the time to explain what was happening and answered all of our questions. I will definitely use them again!

Daniel at BTP was amazing! Showed up on time and worked tirelessly on our burst pipes until everything was fixed and ready to go. He was kind and professional and cleaned up completely after himself. He checked the rest of our home and hot water heaters to ensure we had no other issues other than the broken pipes.

I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the lack of communication. My tech was suppose to arrive at 12:30 and was a no show. I called the company and she had no idea where he was and said that they could arrive anytime between 12:30 and 2:30. I was never told this information in the initial stages of setting the app. On top of that they confirmed my app two days ago by text for an 8am when someone from the company called and asked to change it from 2pm to 12:30pm she had no idea that the app was originally set for 8am. I was understanding and allowed them to change it to 12:30 for them not to show up. Please don’t waste your time with this company. They are unorganized and maybe God was saving from wasting hundreds of dollars. 0 starts.

It was detected that we had a sewer leak, after foundation was completed. Did my due diligence and got three quotes, while also looking each company on the better business bureau. Black Tie was rated A+, therefore we choose to sign a contract with them.

Outdoor rain/water drainage system installation

I was really impressed by Brad's knowledge and work ethic throughout the process of replacing our water heater. It was a slightly complicated job and he proceeded forward without an issue. He did an excellent job throughout the process; not to mention there was no mess or clean up after.

They don’t return your phone calls, which is what led me to abandon my home warranty company and seek help elsewhere. The real kicker here is that they lied to my face. Essentially they made it look as though they couldn’t remove a plumbing line blockage when in actuality the scam seems to be to get the home Warranty claim denied and stick the customer with thousands of dollars of unnecessary repairs. Lesson learned. Buyer beware

Cory was amazing!!! He was here when I pulled into the driveway from work. He walked in very professional and got to work. He had to go get a part from the local hardware store, but got my approval first, because the water was turned off. He quickly came back and fixed the problem with the bathroom fassett leak. First of all, whoever is reading this, if you smell bad odors in your home, please contact this company. It could be affecting your health, allergies and overall wellbeing. I have smelled bad odors in my wall and home due to foundation issues After Blacktie Plumbing fixed the plumbing my home smells cleaner and there are no more bad odors. I had Blacktie Plumbing out to do some repairs on my sewage after my foundation was lifted. Mat and his crew Carl, Travis, Justin did an excellent job locating fixing the leaks under my home and in the laundry room. They even replaced my air vent hose on my dryer because it had to be moved. I have worked with Matt Wise and his team at another property and was so pleased with their level of service that I asked them to handle an issue affecting multiple tenants in Plano where the lines have backed up on and off for some time. They were able to diagnose the issue and get the lines opened up. Matt is great at explaining the problem in a way that I can understand it and can then communicate it to the tenants. Started out as being 2 hours late, I understand things happen. Traffic and all, but no phone call. When the Tech arrived he walked the outside of the house looking for a clean out but did not find one. He didn't even walk into the room that I am having a problem with and he said he would not go in the attic to the vent tube ( stand up attic with flooring) . He gave me a estimate for $1000 to install clean out and then he would give an estimate for my problem. Charged me $40 for absolutely nothing. I suggest if you have a plumbing problem go with a local company that cares, they definitely try harder.

I have tried scheduling an appointment with this company for over three weeks now and have not been able to reach anyone. When I do, they tell me they'll give me a call back with a service date and never do. Unsure of whether or not they do good work because I can't get them out to perform it in the first place.

Cody was amazing. He made sure that he cleaned up after himself and that we were satisfied with his work. He went above and beyond and was very professional. Will continue to ask for Black Tie for all our plumbing needs.

Horrific work. I will attach photos of the drainage pipe they repaired under my restroom which required tunneling and the previous owners to spend 13k. The flange and the drain pipe were not even connected under the house, which meant all waste was accumulating under my house. Obviously I called a competent plumber to come out and fix the issue for the small fee of $3,100. I have contacted BBB of Board of Plumbing Examiners. I will update as they complete their investigations. I WOULD NEVER recommend this company. I also find their relationship with PermaPier curious at minimum.

Notice the large void under the concrete where soil should be. I believe the dirt was not packed in well when they were done tunneling and as water and feces piled up in that hole, it slowly settled, creating a much more large whole.

Blacktie has stated they will accept no responsibility for the work they did because I did not call them first. WHY WOULD I CALL THEM? Their work was sub par to begin with. They want to do the ol' warranty dance, nothing is more off putting, they know they did this work regardless of whether I had previous owners transfer warranty or not.

Blacktie Plumbing gave great service. Misty at the office was on top of everything and communicated a very minor delay in our service call quickly which was appreciated. Kevin, the technician, was knowledgeable, friendly and carefully explained what he needed to do. We are very satisfied with their work and would not hesitate to call them again for a plumbing need.

Worst customer service, trash company

I am very pleased with BlackTie's service. From Larissa and Kendra in the office to Jesus who came out to do the dirty work, the entire operation was smooth and fast. Larissa and Kendra explained step by step what would be going on and were knowledgeable with the repair. I was concerned because I noticed my water leak during the freeze here in Texas. I knew plumbers were going to get slammed and I was afraid it would be a while before BlackTie could come out. However, before Jesus even came out to perform the Cleanout Install, Larissa scheduled the leak repair for the same day. Jesus explained in detail how he would perform the Cleanout Install. He then found the water leak right away but did not have the part to fix it. Even though it was late in the day and he still had to drive three hours back to Houston, he went to get the part so that he could complete the job that day. Great job everyone and thank you BlackTie for your support of Veterans and your Veterans discount.

Exceptional Service received by Daniel! He was honest from his first inspection of our plumbing issue, started with low cost trouble shooting vs the exspensive repairs that another plumber had quoted. He was able to fix the issue quickly, with little to no disruption and at a low cost. I would recommend and use Black Tie Plumbing in the future.

Do not use this company if you want an unbiased experience when using in conjuction with Perma-Pier foundation. Get another company. They are sister companies. Be safe and get another company that has integrity. They are rude as well. You can do better elsewhere.

Matt at Blacktie was a lifesaver for me and my family. Our water heater went out in the middle of the recent cold snap and all other companies were quoting it would be 2 weeks before anyone could come out, Matt had his team out in 2 days! Thank you Matt!

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Terrible service. On 11/13, we had water back up in the house. I contacted our home warranty company, and they gave me Black Tie’s information. I called and explained the situation, and the representative said it would be 2 days before someone could come out, so we scheduled for 11/15, 12-4 window. Still no tech, no phone call after 5. When I called, she said it might be canceled for the night. Finally a tech showed after 6. He was there for 5 minutes and said another tech would have to come out and run a camera, the office would call and schedule that for us. But, he said don’t run water, flush toilets, live in the house. So we left the house. No call, no schedule. We called on Friday 11/16 and no return call. Finally got someone on Monday 11/19 and they said they couldn’t come out until Wednesday 11/21. A guy randomly showed on Tuesday 11/20. Then no communication or return phone call until 11/26, when I was promised a quote by the end of the day. No quote, no call. My husband and I called again 11/27, and were both promised a quote by the end of the day. No quote, no call. Finally received a quote by email including a discount for our “troubles”. After running the quote by other professionals, it was determined that the quote was at least $1500 more than it should be. I called another plumbing company to get the work done. They were out and had answers for me immediately and even temporarily fixed the plumbing so we could be back in our house after being out of it for 2 weeks. AVOID this company.

Matt Wise was extremely helpful when explaining all of our worries and fears of tunneling under our house. Unfortunately, they found two more leaks when under the house, but he talked us through our options, saving us the cost of another dig down the line. I hope to never have to call him again, but know he'll be able to get the job done.

This company stood by their word and helped take care of and honor their commitment to entirely replace our plumbing in our home. First class service. From scheduling to completion, Blacktie has exceeded my expectations on multiple occasions. They are my go to for everything plumbing related, period. Daniel Fitzgerald @blacktie plumbing was the fourth plumber my landlords insurance company sent -I’d really lost hope at this point. I’m happy to share he will the person we call first if we have any plumbing issues when we buy our own home. All said and done it took him about an hour to replace the dip tube on our water heater which was basically non existent. I couldn’t be happier with the service. This place should be your first call.

Six months after the repair there was a problem - there were some hiccups getting everything taken care of (maybe because it was December, a busy time) but in the end they resolved everything and stood behind their work.

Water heater went out in the middle of the night on a Thursday and leaked water all over the place. Daniel from Black Tie plumbing was able to come out Friday morning and replace it that day. I was deathly afraid that I would have a huge mess as my water heater was in a second floor closet which meant it had to be carried across carpet to the downstairs. Daniel was amazingly clean and managed to quickly install the new heater with no mess whatsoever in getting the old one out and the new one in. He also made the needed updates to bring the house back in to code. I couldn't have asked for a better job. I would highly recommend these guys.

A driver for this company cut me off on the highway causing me to slam on my brakes, almost causing an accident. Then continued to go slow. So I went around him & got back into the fast lane. I have a decal for my small business on my back window. He then proceeded to call my number & leave a threatening voicemail that I had cut him off & that he was going to leave a negative review on my business page. I then call the office & ask to speak with the owner. The woman who answered the phone asked who was calling & when I stated I wanted to talk to them about a driver of their van, she hung up me. This concerns me for what type of people are running this business! If this is their customer service, imagine how they would behave in your home!

My house underwent a foundation lift and Blacktie did the plumbing work. Two years later I had an issue with my sewer line. I reached out to Blacktie and asked to speak with a manager. The manager listened to my issue and even though the warranty period had expired, he offered to help me resolve the problem. During the entire time he was always responsive in answering my questions. He got everything lined up to expedite repairs. It took a couple trips to make the final repairs and perform a leak test. Not only did they fix the problem but also analyzed the underlying cause and fixed that too. The techs were always courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and explained what they did. Whenever I called the main office, the scheduling and information teams were always very helpful and friendly. They returned calls promptly and made sure I was taken care of. In the end I felt that the price they charged was more than fair and I am a happy and relieved customer. Thank you Blacktie. I can wholeheartedly recommend Blacktie for anyone’s plumbing needs.

The appointment scheduler was rude and assumptive in her demeanor..I went against my better judgment and booked the appointment.. The technician Craig was nice but didn't have shoe covers which I found odd, especially considering the company name Black Tie plumbing one would think exceptional service..payment before the job was completed was required upfront..I found this to be odd and a little unsettling..I wouldn't use them or recommend them based on this interaction There was no reason as to why this was done The plumber Craig, was pleasant. I see that based on the reviews the front staff is just rude .. Glad to know that!!! 👏🏾 Good job

After putting up with a leaking shower head for some time, I called Black Tie Plumbing for help. Chad Stanley came out the next day. He was very professional, assessed the problem, gave me the cost (with no high pressure sales), and I agreed to have him do the work. He finished in the time allotted, the price was what he quoted, and I couldn't be happier!

We had a shower valve replaced and we are very please with the work and the price! We had other estimates done and black tie had the best priced quote! Also Mark who did our estimate and the work was very knowledgeable and you can tell he really takes pride in the work that he does!

Technician Daniel Fitzgerald called me and let me know when he would arrive and he was on time. He was very efficient and professional. He accessed the problem and had it fixed in no time. He also explained to me what the problem was and what he did to correct the problem.... This is the type of company I like doing business with.... They go hard!!

Black Tie was hired through my home warranty company. I contacted them directly and set up an appointment. They set a 4 hour window and I was told they would call 30-40 minutes before arriving. At around 4:30, I called stating I had not received a call. They assured me the plumber was caught up on the prior job and would call soon. At 5:30, I called again. I wanted to make sure he was, in fact, still coming since neither of our toilets were working and the weekend was upon us.Again, I was assured he would still come and he would be there shortly. I was home all night, no one called, or showed up. It's now 2:30 pm the Monday after. No one has called to apologize or reschedule my appointment. I called my home warranty company (who, in turn, called Black Tie) and they told them they went to my house and couldn't get in! Even tried calling me! I informed them this did not happen and when he asked again, Black Tie apparently fessed up and said they had to cancel the appointment. Again, I was not informed of anything. Still very upset and still no working toilets.

This company wanted to overcharge on a hot water heater replacement. We called our home warranty company, they contracted out with Black Tie. The rep that came out came up with $1300 in additional charges that we’d have to pay....all completely bogus. The amount of pressure that this guy applied for us to sign and give him the job was insane, all which is on video surveillance. One of the most ridiculous charges was $250 for a permit...which cost only $100. I would never do business with an organization like this. After having another plumbing company come out, we were only out an additional $400, not $1300!! Always get a second or third opinion when dealing with this company. Buyer beware!!

We've been requesting quotes for a recirculating pump. Not only were the representatives of Black Tie less professional looking than all the others, they quoted us 5 times as much for the same work. Needless to say we won't be using them.

Heath and James came to replace my exterior front faucet. Explained everything that could be done or wrong with the fixture. Got it done quick and made sure it look better than they found it!
