Great experience with their plumber Julio Arenas. Prompt, professional, courteous, completely comfortable addressing the many questions and concerns I had, and had all the parts needed for my job in his service vehicle. Thank you Julio.I did have a little difficulty with their scheduling system. Schedulers and dispatch were professional and courteous but didn’t seem to record my requested appointment window correctly. I had to rearrange my plans to meet Julio. I still give five stars for Julio’s exceptional service.

Very efficient, quality work, Sammy Martinez quickly and accurately diagnosed my faulty capacitor for my Goodman system. Sammy took the time to answer my additional questions regarding my home builder grade system. Unfortunately he confirmed my suspicions about my system. It was a bad selection by home builder and bad layout. Not much can be done to improve with our causing significant expense on my end but it’s definitely something I’ll look at more closely when I buy my next home. Great service all the way around from Abacus would recommend 5/5 stars for repairs. They will be my first call going forward. Their responsiveness is good and pricing is competitive. You’re paying a flat fee for the techs time, their customer service, the technology (online scheduling, texting, tech location notification, etc.), the expertise and brand knowledge, etc. You pay for what you get, getting it right the first time and treated right is worth the money.

Initially I called Abacus for a couple loose/flickering light switches in the house - I used the on-line appointment scheduler and got a text with a photo of the technician scheduled to come to the house for next day without any issue.It turned out the electrical breaker panel was outdated, not up to code and not grounded properly. Journeyman Electrician Michael was able to identify additional problematic light panels/electrical outlets during his check and come up with an estimate (with a few coupons) for a much bigger job (upgrading the electrical panel and adding an outdoor fireman's breaker) with photos documenting these problem areas.We were able to schedule for the electrical panel upgrade, with a lifetime warranty, for next day with Anthony. The upgrade with a fireman's breaker on the outside was done with great care and attentions to details --unlike the previous breakers, the new outdoor portion of the electrical panel box was secured to the studs/sealed/secured. Anthony was very professional, friendly, and showed us the key upgrades as he worked in the garage and backyard. And he did replace all loose light switches and faulty outlets, for which I called scheduled Abacus in the first place. The visit ended with Anthony sending me photos of the repair/upgrade, some of which I attached to this review.Overall, very happy with the services.

Jose showed up on time and was very professional. He had all the tools to complete the job and finished very quickly. He walked me through exactly what he was going to do and completed the job without any problem. Who is knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I would highly recommend Jose.

Excellent experience with their lead plumber technician, Jason. He was super responsive, courteous and very professional! He called ahead, went out of his way to coordinate my request. He did a thorough inspection of my sewer line, he went well beyond my expectations. He provided cost up front. He took the time to investigate the root cause of problem and he was thoughtful to ensure that I was offered the best available rate. I have full peace with these guys every time. Abacus is the best!

Daniel Luke, is an AWESOME plumber. He was very thorough, he really cared and wanted the job to be done right! I had seen 2 other big plumbing companies before him; but as soon as explained everything to me, I knew immediately that I was going to do business with Abacus. What I appreciated the most was his honesty and how he wanted to do the best for my home. It's so hard to trust people coming into your home, but not this guy. He's the best hands down!! I had a badly installed HVAC unit that produced mold. My HVAC unit required replacement and the air ducts reorganized. Anthony did great in recommending a new system. Genaro, Gabriel, Salvador and Nazario did an outstanding job in the new system installation and the reconfiguration of the air ducts. Eduardo and Juan just finished cleaning the air ducts and controlling the last signs of mold. Sosa directed them all on how to tackle my project. Thanks to them all for their hard work.

Seth Tyler was great! He installed our new kitchen faucet and removed the old one in less than an hour very professional and kind. I’d book with Abacus again.

Sam was very professional with good customer service. He found and repaired my toilet overflowing issue. He also shared other solutions for preventing the same problem from happening again in the future. Excellent service.Cameron and Miguel were brought out by Sam to share other preventive options. They both were very professional, excellent customer service and did not stop until the entire job was finished. This was an awesome group of men that knew their jobs well. Thanks gentlemen.

Money grab.Our home was hit by the tornado that came through our community they were more concerned about charging a diagnostic charge than giving a quote so we could submit it to the insurance company. Making matters worse, I requested an appointment on their website, three days later called them and they made it a point pay us first then we will talk quote.Sad way to do business.

I was very pleased with the service we received from Abacus Plumbing. They came out on a Sunday, free of charge, to assess our water heater. Tony Carrillo was very professional, thorough, and he provided detailed information as to what the issue was. He was able to fix our heater within a couple of hours and it was very reasonably priced. We would highly recommend Abacus and will rely on them in the future. Thank you!

Jonathon Carley and Gary Shelton, along with their crews, are some of the best workers that I have ever met. Jonathon came out quickly and handled an emergency issue that was stressing me out, replacing a pipe that was leaking from the main to our house. His competence and sense of urgency removed all of the stress I had with the process. He has a compassionate confidence about him that is rare and will put you at ease. Gary excavated for the new pipe and it was obvious by the quality of his work that he has incredible experience. There was no mess after the job was done, and I was impressed that I couldn’t even tell any work was done. It was perfection.I truly believe that exceptional workers gravitate to exceptional companies, and because of workers like Jonathon and Gary, I am loyal to Abacus. 10/10 recommend!

We have a relatively new home (under 5 years) and signed a maintenance agreement with Abacus to keep your system in good condition. The first 2 times they were out, I received bids for thousands of dollars in additional services I didn't request. More recently, we were told our blower needed cleaning. The technician even showed us a photo. They gave us an expensive bid that did NOT include cleaning the blower. (That wasn't made clear until we specifically asked what the bid included.) We got a second opinion. The second technician also took a photo, and our blower was clean.

Broken water pipe and no water over the Christmas holiday. The office staff was very responsive and got me on the schedule for repairs promptly and the plumber was at my house first thing on Christmas morning! Holiday surcharge but of course … I would charge one if I had to work on Christmas! Service was prompt, Jeremiah was very pleasant and friendly (even in the cold on Christmas morning!) and got me fixed up quickly. I have used Abacus before and found their service to be consistently prompt, professional and reasonably priced. And they made my Christmas a lot more pleasant now that I can take a shower.

Vlad was great so we’re the guys who came for the inspection and install. The work they have done will keep us from further work.

First off, Abacus was more than half the price of the company that I had out the day before. Super friendly, and came out the same day.Secondly, the gentleman that came out to service my electric issue, George M., was absolutely amazing. He was very kind, and walked me through what needed to be done, and took the extra time to make sure I understood the issue before proceeding with fixing it. His customer service was top notch and I will 100% be using Abacus again if the need arises.

Aaron Duff gave us an estimate for our water heater leak. He was very respectful of the property and explained what we needed very clearly. I appreciated him explaining our options for financing and helping us understand different areas of the price. It was a very enlightening meeting and i was able to fully understand the issue and what needed to be fixed.

Chris Castro, our Abacus service provider, was excellent! Chris is very professional and I found him to be trustworthy. He answered all of my questions, including regarding his estimate/bid, calmly and completely. He completed the work efficiently and with care. He provided a complete review after the work was complete. I would use Chris again in a heartbeat.

Best plumbing experience ever! Luis came to our house after two plumbers could not turn off our water to repair a pipe due to mud and other blockages in our valve box. He dug out several inches of mud and found the valve and turned off the flood! He returned the next day and worked until 4:00 in the morning to fully repair the leak. He was amazing; we give he and Abacus the highest possible recommendation. After three days without water, it was so nice to have someone here who was reliable, caring and very competent.

Came home to a busted water heater that had flooded the downstairs bathroom on a Saturday night. The operator advised us to shut off the water, and the technician, Lee Patterson, came out the next day. He replaced the water heater and referred us to a water restoration company. We are pleased with the work and being available on a Sunday was a life saver. Price may be higher than some other plumbers, but Abacus has always done a good job, and it’s better to do it right the first time and not have to worry about having to re-do it again in a few months.

Abacus was wonderful. A/C wasn’t working and a tech responded quickly. Shortly after putting in the request for service, Zach C. called to let us know he was on the way. He gave top quality service with a smile. Quickly found the problem and got my A/C up and running. Best experience I have ever had with HVAC service. Thank you Zach!

Received some great service. Offered some sound and thorough diagnostics and all with no trip charge. Price reflected in quality of service so it’s not the most affordable in town.See if you can request Dylan Green, real nice guy and helpful too.

Had my heating system checked for any issues. Sammy Martinez performed the service check and was very thorough and located a sensor that needed replacement. Sammy also brought me up to date on features my heating system had that I was not aware of (e.g. air purifier, and air filter replacement. He also provided some additional information regarding enhancing the air purification system to eliminate spores. I appreciate the extra attention to detail that Sammy provided and will definitely consider his recommendations when I have my A/C reviewed in the spring.

Randy came out to replace a broken toilet with one I had already purchased and he was wonderful. He was respectful, kind, knowledgeable, thorough and kept me informed of all my options as well as the condition of my pipes and toilet. He went above and beyond fixing issues other plumbers had caused in the past. My new toilet looks much better than the old one because of proper installation. It was a great experience.

Mr Andreas was very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and very clear about all repairs. Everything was explained in detail which made us very comfortable going with his company. Once the job was complete he thanked us for our business and assured us that they would be available to answer any questions and guaranteed all repairs and workmanship.

We just purchased our home in 2021 home was built in 2013 and we found out after purchasing that the AC/Heater system was in bad shape so we ended up replacing the entire system with a top tier multi speed ac/heater system and it was a great investment!! Dehumidifier syster, multi speed AC that fluctuates to maintain whatever temp we set super quiet system and a cool touchscreen thermostat plus LIFETIME WARRANTY!!! Great investment everyone we have dealt with from Abacus has been amazing! On time professionals respectful very nice and informative. If you have ac or heater issues CALL THEM!!!

Abacus performed furnace inspection.Overall it was a great experience. We had prior experience with Abacus A/C service, so we wanted to see how they would do in our new home. They quickly responded to my inquire about an A/C tune-up/inspection.We recently moved in the house and knew little to nothing about our systems. Allan, our technician, went through the testing and inspection of each furnace and suggested things we could do to extend the life of the furnaces. Some of the suggestions were simple yearly cleaning, etc. tasks. Some were more costly suggestions to improve the overall A/C systems and resolve some issues we have started to notice, but they were in line with what we had seen before. Allan answered all our questions and was very professional and friendly.W/r/t cost; the full A/C system tune-up & inspection was half the cost of other competitors we have used, and we now have two systems. I would suggest you consider them for your next A/C service.

Great experience with Abacus for my plumbing problem. They were able to schedule me quickly and have someone out. Tony was able to quickly identify a solution for my issue and offered advice on several other items that I had questions on.

Phillip was on time, very professional, very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. He found our leak within 5 min. And was very helpful with other suggestions. We are Abacus customers for good now! Excellent service!

They are outstanding! I found a leak in the water heater so I gave them a call around 3pm they were at the home an hour later. The water heater was leaking internally so it needed to be replaced. By 8pm that same evening the old heater was removed/haul off and replaced. The plumber Sebastian was excellent! He walked us through the whole process and cleaned up everything before leaving.I will definitely be calling them again!

Julio was the perfect professional. He explained exactly what he was going to do and why. He knew that I was on a budget, so he gave me some options to help lower my costs, including allowing me buy my own toilet. In the end, I opted for the Abacus supplied toilet partly because of the warranty and partly because they would dispose of the old one for me. I will definitely call them again.

Not sure about the actual service, but the free estimate seems like a predatory tactic for trapping customers, getting people to make appointment with misleading information about service fee and not disclosing the expensive service/diagnostic fee until the day of the appointment.I made an appointment for eletrician when I was told there is usually no service fee for visits. However, when I called the night before the appointment to check on something, I was finally informed of the $199 for diagnostic fee. And their explanation was that they would have eventually called me the day of the appointment to tell me about the fee. By this point, it was going to be difficult to find another company last minute, but I still cancelled.I'm not sure if I was an exception, but they should really be more transparent about service/diagnostic fee from the beginning.

Abacus team leaded by Phillip H. did a great job at my place. They booked my appointment within a day, called 1h before they showed up, did an initial inspection and walked me thru all the fixing around the house. Phillip gave me the best solutions for each of the toilets and shower issues I had, and it took him just a few hours to do all the work. Clean, courteous, fair prices and knowledgeable technicians. Highly recommended for any issue you encounter with your plumbing!

Excellent communication regarding when the electrician would arrive. The electrician (Douglas) was outstanding! He was knowledgable and helpful, but also personable. He took his time and made sure I understood everything. Highly recommend!

We have been spending a lot of time with Abacus the last two weeks. They have been awesome! Special shout out to Aaron (hot water) and Rick (clogs). Fantastic guys! Definitely recommend and would use again.

I had estimate for work needed to add water line for new fridge and replace irrigation backflow. Will decide after getting estimate from another company how to proceed. Technician was helpful and knowledgeable. However, I would prefer the form they want you to sign electronically stated that I was only acknowledging receiving estimate. Instead it shows acceptance of $0.00 being authorized as work to be done. I signed it because it showed $0 but don't like that. Abacus has previously worked on clogged pipes for me and I've been happy with them.

Mr Vasquez was professional and very helpful while explaining what needed to be done..I most appreciated the time it took to come out and repair our damaged sink..

We really appreciated Frank Eisterhold at Abacus. We run a commercial property management company, and Frank has always been able to handle our emergencies in a timely manner at a fair price. He sent Gregg Deleon to our building and was able to resolve our sewage problem. I highly recommend Abacus!

Dana Barnes is an outstanding professional. Period. He was very thorough and knowledgeable about my plumbing issue--far more experienced than the idiot plumbers that installed the pipes in my brand new home. I contacted Abacus for an independent professional opinion and quote. Although I was not permitted by my builder to use Abacus because I am under warranty with their shoddy contractors, I would highly recommend Dana and plan to hire Abacus if I ever have plumbing issues in the future.

Steven Barrera did an outstanding job of replacing the shower fixtures my two bathrooms. He was professional, efficient, and courteous. Abacus has a two-year warranty on their parts and labor. They are a tad pricey but you get what you pay for.I also obtained electrical service. Carmen Gonzalez gave me a reasonable price. Cole Barndollar and Ruben Ontiveros were here all day patiently and competently overcoming challenges of wiring my four cameras among other things. These were thoughtful professionals who cared about the quality of their work.

After many issues following a HUGE replacement of plumbing lines under our house with Abacus, Jason Wells came today to fix our toilets. His professionalism was superb! He documented our job extremely well and went over everything with us using his pictures. We remain confident that his redo will now eradicate our issues.While I am still not happy with the lack of communication/follow-up throughout the last month and a half following the completion of our HUGE job, I can say that several people did their best to resolve the issue and I firmly believe that Frank Eisterhold will bring the shortfall to the attention of upper management.Abacus does need to keep in mind that timely communication to resolve issues is the key to keeping your customers happy and the key to making your business flourish. No customer wants to feel that they were just sold a job because issues arising from that job were not important enough to communicate on a timely basis.

The worst company at scheduling. Called them on a Saturday because my garage outlet was not working. They put me on the schedule for the following Tuesday. I had requested an early appointment windows since I had several items plugged into the garage outlet. Called again on Tuesday morning since I had not heard from them yet to confirm my appointment window. They confirmed that I was still on the route for that day. Later in the afternoon, their dispatch called me again saying they had to push my appointment to Friday, because they were running late. Totally unacceptable. I would had called someone else original on Saturday had I known it would have taken until Friday. The dispatcher that called was totally unprofessional. Would not recommend them to anyone.

I noticed a water leak from behind the refrigerator. Rogeio Roger Ramos pulled refrigerator from away from wall, was able to make repair with parts he had in his Abacus vehicle. Roger wore blue booties over his shoes, even though he was on tile floors. Roger completed the work and was very polite and cordial. I highly recommend Roger and Abacus.

Had my inspection of my heat system including checking for CO2 leaks. Got recommended for some extra services such as duct cleaning but no high pressure sales. Just a recommendation. Sh arrived when she said she would and cleaned up afterwards. Great job and very professional.

Our technician, Jason Wells, was very professional and polite. He answered all of our questions and went to work very quickly. We were very pleased with his work and would recommend abacus because of him.

Luis , from Abacus, was very professional and detailed in his explanation of repairs. He was able to troubleshoot the problem and was detailed enough to make me confident in his diagnosis of the problem. Electrical wiring was added to the house. Jeremiah and Ruben worked together seamlessly. They were personable, knowledgeable, professional, and did not hesitate to listen to my vision of what I wanted accomplished. We openly discussed what I wanted to accomplish and they provided me with viable options. I enjoyed their camaraderie and banter.

Ac went out due to faulty breaker inside. Micheal came to diagnose the issue and found out our outside breaker box was wired out of code. The wires inside melted due to the faulty wiring and could of burnt the house down. Thankful they found it and fixed everything fast and professionally! Anthony came out the next day and put in a brand new breaker panel. Fixed our outside outlets as well since they weren’t gfi and explained everything in detailed. So happy with the professionalism and quality of work they did! I will definitely be using Abacus for all my home fixes. They went above and beyond to fix the problem and got my ac back up running. It’s true if you want it done right then go with them! Picture below is the new panel installed.

Abacus came out the Monday right after the 2022 Christmas freeze. My issue was not freeze related but, of course, they were inundated with calls that were. Seth Tyler was very professional in his evaluation, explanation, and manner of repair. This included fielding numerous questions about the situation. I appreciate his dedication in what was sure to be a very long day ahead. He made the repair in unrushed fashion and had us back in good shape in just a couple of hours. Thanks Seth and Abacus!

Deon Brown was the technician that served me, he was extremely helpful! He was able to fix my problem, by going above and beyond. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He was also very kind and knowledgeable.

Over priced. They do an okay job but charge to much for their services. They should really offer better value prices for their loyal customers.They were charging me $450 to install a thermostat in my house which only took me about 10 minutes to do myself. No thank you.It’s horrible that they try to take advantage of people like this.At most I would have paid $80 for that service but never $450!!! That’s crazy!

I have used Abacus in the past and had a good experience. However, today they went out to replace a water heater. I was quoted over $4000 for a 12 year warranty on the replacement, WOW!!!! The tech offered an 8 year warranty for $3800 which was still, WOW!!!! This service should be under $1500 just in case you were wondering. Luckily, the estimate and visit was free. Overall, the customer service is top notch, but the quote was just, WOW!!!!

Our 13 year old water heater needed replacing in a bad way. We were able to book our services on the same day we called to look at the schedule and it's right before a freeze and a holiday. I’ve used Abacus several times for Electrical, A/C issues, and plumbing. Each time the technicians have communicated and conducted themselves professionally and performed excellent work. It’s clear that they have my best interest at hand and try hard to give me a great experience. They are knowledgeable and leave the worksite in clean condition. I highly recommend them.

Recently I had a leak in my yard. I called Abacus for a quote. They came out highest quote was about 6k lowest quote which was highly suggested it would be way more was 3300. I was urged to book service asap. I decided to get a few more quotes. Nobody even came close to the inflated price Abacus gave me. The job ended up being 565.00. It’s almost criminal that they were trying to charge me 5.3k more. Do your due diligence and get several quotes.

Chester Grimes is a fantastic asset for Abacus. We've used them for all our plumbing needs and Mr. Grimes serviced our home today with kindness, professionalism, and acute knowledge of his industry. Much appreciated.

The technician, Mr. Ortega, was very knowledgeable and addressed all of concerns. The two installers, Yanier and Guillermo, were very thorough, paying close attention to details and answering all questions. Based on my experience with the services today, I won’t hesitate to recommend Abacus to others.

Raul Buentello was awesome. I love working with Abacus. I only use them now. I tried using a smaller company and I was not happy with the results. I had to call abacus to fix their mistakes and they were actually cheaper than the smaller company.

Amazing service! Very knowledge electrician. He was thorough, worked the problem, fixed the issue. Will never call anyone other than Abacus again. Competition quoted five times the cost as Abacus for the same job. Vlad is the very definition of the kind of employee that a company would want representing it.

Noe Guerra did the annual check of our heating system, which was installed by Abacus. He did a great job, was thorough, helpful, instructed me in what type of filter was needed, provided additional recommendations, and checked to make sure we had the updated credit card for our membership renewals, and did all these with a most pleasant demeanor. We hope that he comes back to do our yearly AC check.

Glenn came as early as possible to fix our problem. He was professional, knowledgeable and I could tell he was going above and beyond to make sure it was fixed before he left. I am usually suspicious and anxious of service companies who will overcharge but THAT DID NOT HAPPEN! Tranparent and honest. My go to technicians from now on

Douglas Palacios arrived as promised to diagnose the electrical issue in our kitchen. He found out our dishwasher and garbage disposal have been causing the circuit breaker to trip off sockets in the kitchen. Douglas was very friendly, professional, and technically knowledgeable. He provided clear options to resolve the issue, and we look forward to his professional skills in solving the breaker issue.

George Molina came to my home and he was the best! He was very informative and patient with all of my questions. George exceeded my expectations and showed me the true definition of quality. If I could give him an A++ I would!

I had two plumbers come out, Isaiah and Bob. Both were on time, professional, and did a great job. They were able to assess my sewer line and confirm the blockage was clear via camera. Would highly recommend them.

Update: The field guys are awesome. Eddy and Christian were great and explained all my questions. But the office and scheduling side of things needs a lot of work. Poor communication and customer service.They never showed up. They called once 3 hours after they were supposed to come and when I tried to give them a call back within 10 minutes they wouldn't take my call. Now they are saying they can't have anyone out for another 2+ weeks.

We had some malfunctioning lighting fixtures in our kitchen. The technician, George, was very friendly and personable and clearly explained the problems we were experiencing with our under cabinet lighting fixtures and suggested a few different solutions to correct the problem. Very pleased with the service call.

My heat pump had not been giving me any problems but Hector came to the house to do a scheduled checkup on it. He was very thorough and completely professional, but friendly. We've been using Abacus for a couple of years to maintain our heating and AC units. They diagnosed and fixed a couple of unsolvable issues that arose from another company's work and we will be sticking with them for the long term. Always reliable, courteous and professional. It's been hard to find good contractors in this area and Abacus is a winner.Recently I wasn't able to contact our usual plumber so decided to give Abacus a try. Another very professional experience. It was easy to schedule the appointment, the technician arrived as scheduled with advance notice and was very courteous. He was able to diagnose the issue and recommend and price a solution promptly. His work is excellent.

Technician came out to check our ac unit. We explained to him what we needed done to get it fixed we just wanted a quote for the job. The technician went ahead and checked without even adviceing us he was going to charge us $100 after words for doing us this service. The tech started talking outrageous quotes( $3,000 up to $6,000). Not happy with this company they don't inform the customer on hidden fees, and they really up charge on their services

Paid 200 bucks for a suspect diagnostic for my furnace. Told me I might need to get a plumber to look at it. So what can I do if I want to actually have the issue looked at properly? Just keep handing out 200 bucks until I get a good technician?

The work done was ok, albeit expensive. Water heater leaked and caused a break in the sheetrock. This happened on a Saturday and needed to be done expeditiously, which it was.My main complaint has to do with follow up. The person who did the installation provided me a quote for the sheetrock repair and the said the person would call me to schedule. This never happened. When I called Abacas to try to get that information they said they would have the service person call me. That never happened. I called again and was given a name of a person to repair the sheetrock and the quote was $100 more. I found my own person to repair the sheetrock for less that the original quote.Since the cost of the repair was so high I paid half and finance the rest. I promptly received a copy of the loan documents. After a month I had not received any information regarding how to pay the balance so I again called Abacas. Their finance person said I would receive documents in the mail the next month. After that month went by I called Abacas again and they transferred me to the voicemail of the finance person and said they would call me right back after I leave a voicemail. That didn't happen. The next day I called Abacas again and was given the number for Service Finance Company. Initially this was a loop of press buttons that got me nowhere. I eventually found a button that allowed me to talk to a person. This was a hugely frustrating call. The person talked incessantly and over me saying things I already knew not allowing me to ask questions. She kept saying repeatedly that the mailed me, emailed me and phoned me. I received no mail, no email and no voice mail on my phone. Finally, after adamantly expressing my frustration I was able to ask pointed questions to get to the bottom of the situation. It turns out the repairman put the wrong address on the loan document. This explains why I didn't get the mail. No clue why I didn't receive the email or phone call.Ultimately after numerous phone calls without success I was able to get the necessary information to pay the bill. Never have I had such a frustrating ordeal just to pay a bill.

Replaced electrical panel one day. Great job. Installed new drain line in back of house from washing machine. Trenched back yard to lay new pipe and tie into the main. Cut and replaced concrete patio. They forgot to install a new dryer vent hole in wall as they used the existing vent hole for the new drain piping. Saul Flores came out on Friday afternoon. Did a great job. Apologized for the oversight. He went above and beyond. He also reconnected the dryer and made sure all gas line connections were good. Highly recommend Saul to anyone. Great personality and friendly.

Worst company I’ve ever hired. I got their value plan with all around service and maintenance. Every time they visit, they leave issues behind. They break equipment and tell you that you’ll have to pay them for the repair. They over charge. You get very little benefit from their value plan or whatever the official title is.Example 1 - plumbingSaw the problem, said they couldn’t fix it, I suggested a solution and suddenly they figured out the solution. I received a heavy charge (with the discount and coupon) for them removing a plug from my garbage disposal.Example 2 - water heaterI asked them to do annual maintenance. The tech breaks it somehow and tells me that it’s broke and the water would no longer heat. I argued with him over the phone and suddenly it started working again. I called another tech to confirm if there was any issue. The tech from another company told me that it wasn’t an urgent issue and could wait a long time before being fixed. The alternative company also replaced the system months later for a fraction of the cost.Example 3 - ACSystem fan was having issues. Abacus told me that with my discount, I would pay 199 for them to diagnose (excluding trip charge). This does not include any repairs. I worked for a major HVAC manufacturer and know that this price is on the high end. No thanksConclusion: I ended my membership and will not be requesting any further services from them.Positive - nice customer service people

Javier did an excellent job explains to us what the problem was with our hot water heater was. Then he explained how he came to that conclusion. Hw was on time and kept us in the loop as how our repair was coming along. We would highly recommend him!

George Molina was the technician who came to our house today- our lights of the living room, chandelier and porch lights all were not working suddenly. The breakers were checked and that did not solve the problem. Then George had to do kind of detective work, checking each and every power point/ power socket in the porch, in the room, and we have lots of such power junctures, and finally was able to find the weakling point. Once he fixed that, we got our lights back. George knows his stuff, and above all, he has such a great attitude- humble and modest. Please give this young man higher opportunities to rise in your company. Vlad was very kind and knowledgeable. He replaced my Fire /CO alarm. He also explained I needed to blow out dust on the alarms. Also to test them periodically.
The only downfall was not in regards to the tech but the cost. Yikes! Thankfully I only needed to swap out 1 and not 5.

Their technician freed up the water shut-off valve to the refrigerator ice maker. Originally thought the valve would need to be replaced, but their technician was very helpful and was able to free up the original valve. I will definitely call on them again in the future anytime that I may find myself in need their services.

We purchased a new refrigerator and when the installers turned off the water to the old ice maker to install the water line to the new ice maker, the water turnoff valve began a slow leak. They tried to tighten the valve to stop the leak but it did not stop leaking.. We called Abacus and requested a plumber - thinking we would need a new water shutoff valve (our home is 28 yrs. old). Jason arrived first thing the next morning and was able to stop the leak without having to replace the valve. He could have told us the valve needed to be replaced and we would have believed him. Jason called an gave us an hour notice that he was on his way. Arrived on time and was very pleasant, courteous and professional. We will use the service again.

Like other Abacus techs, plumbers Michael Glen and Bob were thorough, patient and knowledgeable about what needed to be done regarding the plumbing backup in my home. Explanations were both verbal and visual including diagrams and video. Repair and financial options were provided without coercion. Abacus isn’t the cheapest, but it is the best!

I called to schedule an appointment for a quote to repipe my house and was given a time window from 9am-6pm. After waiting all day for somebody to show up and wasting an entire Saturday, I received a text at 5pm stating that they would not be able to make the 9 hour window but would be there when they could. When I called to cancel the appointment, they did not even attempt to reschedule, just OK, your appointment is canceled. So apparently, they did not need my business.Update: I received a call from abacus and was asked to reschedule my appointment and give them a second chance. I said as long as I didn't get another 9 hour window, I would give them another try. In order to work around my job, I was told a tech would call me at 5pm with his ETA (no more than 30-45 minutes.) The tech called me at 5:49 to let me know he was 20 minutes away. He arrived at my house at 6:10 and left at 6:12. When he arrived he asked What are we doing? as if he had no clue why he was at my house. When I told him I wanted a quote to repipe, he asked if I was getting other quotes. I told him I was and he said I'm going to tell you right now, we are going to be the most expensive. I'm assuming this is a 2 bath? We start off at $24,000. You could tell that he did not have the we need all the business we can get attitude the guy on the phone had. I'm pretty sure I dodged a bullet not hiring this company.

Allen Taylor was more than AMAZING! I had a whole situation and he went above and beyond for something he did not have to help me with. He was able to address and confirm other problems with my Electrical Panel and resolved in a blink of an eye. I am forever grateful and thankful for individuals like him.

I never actually used them first off. But just wanted to leave a review for anyone looking. They will advertise free estimates then charge you for a diagnostic. We needed 240v plugs put into the garage - I called them, told them exactly what I needed - confirmed the estimate was free - made an appointment. They called prior to the appointment to confirm and this is when she notified me that it would be a $99 charge for the 'diagnostic'. So essentially it sounds like they don't actually provide estimates, only diagnostics. Felt REALLY dishonest and I immediately canceled my appointment. Other places I've called will do a diagnostic for $69. Still shopping around for free estimates. But even if I don't find a place that will give me a quote, I won't come back here due to the apparent dishonesty in booking appointments. Wasted a lot of time between setting up the appointment and finding out they were going to charge me $100 when I could have been calling other places to compare costs.

The job was the installation of two complete HVAC systems, except ducts. Whereas the crew that did the installation was OUTSTANDING, it is the installation of programable thermostats what triggers my low grading of the overall experience. I was expecting the installation of SMART THERMOSTATS, not the same programable type we already had with the old systems. When I called to express my dissatisfaction, I was given the run around, and to this date, three days after the installation, the thermostats were not replaced.It’s a shame that ABACUS is taking such approach after we gave them over $21K of our hard earned money. I gladly will update the grading and comments when they resolve this matter to our satisfaction, if they do.What otherwise was an OUTSTANDING service and value, unfortunately became diluted by the greedy attitude ABACUS has demonstrated this far.

We called Abacus on a Sunday because of a leak with our water heater. They were able to replace it the same day. During the process, it was discovered that the water pipes were original from 1955 and were in horrendous shape. We agreed to have the house re piped. I needed a ceiling fan installed in one of the bedrooms. Vlad was in and out in an hour (this is with the fan in the box, disassembled, sad, and lonely on the floor when he came in). The fan is mounted beautifully - doesn’t wobble - and he put the remote holder to it up on the wall. Walked me through the settings on it & everything. My dog wouldn’t leave him alone, so he even stopped to pet him for a second so he would calm down. Lol.

I needed someone to troubleshoot an issue. Abacus sent an experienced guy who approached it like a scientist. Checking everything in a certain order and had it figured out. He explained why I had the problem and what he was doing to fix it. I'm very impressed.

Tony was our plumber, he was very professional and very knowledgeable. He found the leak, fixed it, discovered another leak and told me that we would have to cut into the ceiling on the first floor to access it. If I could give the company negative stars I would! My entire experience was HORRIBLE! I was informed that a technician would come to my house between the hours of 8 am - 12 pm. Just to find out they didn’t block me out a timeframe! I called several times to find out why I was misinformed just for them to say I was next in line for a “quote”. When I initially spoke with the scheduler, she informed that services would be performed at the time of the appointment. She asked very detailed questions to ensure they had everything at the time of visit. I was very detailed with everything that would be needed. So, to find out it would only be for a “quote” really took me over! In addition, the technician called at 3:30 pm saying he was an hour out! He asked was it too late and if I wanted to reschedule. I informed him absolutely not! I’ve been waiting since 7:30 am on his arrival. He then proceeded to say, well I’ll be there in a hour. I ran to the store that is less than 10 minutes from my home now that I had a definite time to work with. He then showed up within 40 minutes and when asked to stay until the time he informed me he would be there, he left! He told me to reschedule as he couldn’t wait! WTH?!?! I’ve been waiting all day and this is his response after he told me it would take 1 hour! Clearly he was trying to have me reschedule! If Douglas Palacios did not want to work today, he should have stayed at home! Talk about unprofessional! I wasted an entire day for absolutely nothing! Please book with a more professional company ! Just horrible!

The repair technician, Forrest Rice, was at my house 30 minutes after I called Abacus with my clogged garbage disposal drain issue. He quickly identified the issue, offered a couple of options, and had the drain running clear very quickly.

Manny was very thorough and diligent in his work. Wanted to make customer happy. Cleaned up under sink. Went above and beyond in his work.

We used Bradbury Bros for our HVAC, and they did a complete clean and tune up for $600. Two weeks later, when temps were 104 outside, our system failed on a Sunday. We called Bradbury and they couldn’t even have someone look at it until later the week after next! Called Abacus and they were there that day. They offered a portable ac unit so we could stay at home, and the new system was in in 2 days. Since then, we have been loyal Abacus customers. We have had abacus put in our new HVAC, thermostat, fix leaking pipes and faucets, install kitchen faucet, and install a new toilet over the last 2 years. Their service is professional, FAST, and quality. There are probably cheaper places to go, but they are cheaper in the short term- abacus saves you time and money by doing things right the first time.

Jose R. did an excellent job installing my ceiling fan. It has a remote which left me stumped as to how to install it. He took the time to teach me how the installation works so I can install the next fan with a remote on my own.

This is the second time we have used Abacus and both times we have been very impressed by the electrician's knowledge, professionalism, and courtesy. Their prices are reasonable as well. Although they don't give you a morning or afternoon time frame for arrival, they do call about an hour before they will be at your home. We will continue to use this company because we trust them. A rare commodity in today's market.

Abacus helped me with an AC issue last year and the tech told me about their bi-annual HVAC maintenance plan. Today was the AC maintenance. Service technician was professional, courteous, on-time and a really nice gentleman. Also, wanted to point out how I love the SMS text message(s) you get from Abacus that include a picture of the technician, when they will arrive, phone numbers, etc. Nice to be kept in the loop instead of waiting at the house all day. Called at 8am for what I thought was a simple job to unclog drain, replace garbage disposal, and fix circuit breaker. They were there by 10am. The clog and disposal was easy but the breaker replacement turned into an all day job. Thebroken water line from last Feb freeze got into the panel and started to corrode the various breakers which is what started my problem with the bad breaker. Vladislav Kolsnick explained all the issues and options I had and how Abacus had a solution to every option. He is extremely knowledgeable about his job and very patient and polite explaining in laymen terms what was wrong and what he could do. He had to call another person to help, Sam Padron, who was just as knowledgeable, patient, and polite as Vladi. It is no wonder Abacus has it's reputation with workers like Vladi and Sam.

They showed up way earlier than they estimated which was perfect as our hot water heater was completely out right before a freeze was expected. They were super professional, friendly, and had speedy service. I highly recommend this company!

Our AC stopped cooling effectively in July. We had 2 techs come over (JS and ZC) to assess the situation. They both said our system needed to be completely replaced. ZC gave us a quote of $21,000. He also completely turned off the compressor when we weren't looking so the house got very hot very fast. Luckily we noticed, turned it back on so we got some relief and called someone else to assess our AC. We spent less than $3,000 and my AC is still working great 6 months later.

A part that cost $39.99 each,(COMPRESSOR SAVER and DUAL CAPACITOR UP TO 80/7.5 MFD 440 )I was billed $453.48 and $457.22 respectively . Integrity and honesty goes a long way in my book. Never will i use this company again . If you want to be taken advantage of, then go ahead and risk it with Abacus .

My tech was very nice and informative but why charge $526 to drain a hot water tank and install my gas control valve(that was covered under my warranty) that took less than one hour to do.

Complete rip-off! Didn’t charge to come over but the moment they pull out a tool, automatic 200! These Bozos tried to tell me that it would cost 2800 to get my unit running but I’d always have issues with it unless they reconfigure everything and that would cost 16000! Yea you read that correctly SIXTEEN THOUSAND! I just had another certified HVAC guy come out and he only charged $140! Do not waste your time or your money with these clowns! They’re all about making huge profits and not for the working man! Don’t let them get you!

I had Abacus come out and look at installing a Tesla EV charger. I have a brand new home that was pre-wired for EV charging. I am by no means an electrician, but I was fluent enough to know my breaker and wiring specs, and what exactly the charger needed to function. The Abacus guy was very nice and respectful, but was either clueless or trying to take advantage of me. We looked at the breaker and wiring together. He absolutely promised I needed either a $1200 upgrade to a GFCI breaker of the same amperage that was already in the panel and pre-wired to the mounting spot OR a $2000 upgrade to a higher amp breaker and new wiring. On the smaller upgrade, I told him very clearly this isn't necessary and he promised he's installed many of these exact chargers and it is necessary. I checked the Tesla installation guide after he left and in big bold letters it says not to use a GFCI breaker because GFCI protection is built into the charger. I told him this point blank when he was here and he dismissed me based on all the installs he's done. On the more expensive upgrade, he said using the wall connecter on the existing breaker isn't just slower (he's correct), but it will not work because the wall charger requires 50A. Again, completely wrong and I told him this. The charger can support anywhere from 15 - 60 Amps. Also in the Tesla install guide. Based on his claims of having installed so many of these chargers, I can't imagine how many people have grossly overpaid for unnecessary work. Separate from the installation manual, 2 of my neighbors in identical homes have Teslas and neither of them did any sort of upgrades on install. I want to give credit that the Abacus employee was nice and respectful, which leads me to believe he had no idea what he was talking about rather than trying to take advantage of me. Abacus did come the same day I called, so I'd consider using them again, but only for a job that I am confident I don't need their advice on what work is necessary.

Replaced water valves under all the upstairs batjhrooms, replaced faucets in the 2 tubs upstairs. Replaced the watersshut-off valve in the utility room.Most of the valves were about 20 years old. No leaking, but replacing the old ones made good sense.

I called and they had a plumber same day within 4 hours. Shower wouldn’t turn off. Abacus came by diagnosed the problem, replaced the part and we’re gone in less than 30 minutes. Happy with their response time.

This review would be 5 stars, for (1) technician quality, and (2) a sub-panel installation job they did, where you need great expertise and a market price.But it's three stars to serve as a caution to consumers for their electrical work on smaller jobs. Be sure to shop around. I had 7-9 CO/Smoke detectors go haywire. For $400, a technician tested all wires and accurately diagnosed the detectors as being EOL. Money well spent. The voltage from the ceiling wires was fine.But then they quoted me $2800 to rewire the connectors and install new ones. I generally just pay contractors what they ask. I don't have time to haggle, and my time is more valuable not doing so. But this seemed a bridge too far.Why was it so much? They wanted to install their own detectors, which had incompatible wiring. Still, even at a marked up cost of say, $100 a detector, I couldn't see how they needed $2800.So, why couldn't they just acquire matching detectors (if they still made them) and not rewire at all? It becomes a cost + maybe an hour of labor job. Turns out the same detectors are at Lowes for $45. So let's say 9 detectors at $100, or $900, plus two hours of labor, or $400. That quote should have been $1300, and that is already a bit rich.So what did I do? We spent $380 buying 9 detectors. I popped out the old ones, screwed in the new ones and connected the same plug, no rewiring. Took me an hour to test all of them and activate the battery backup. 1 hour. I only needed 7 detectors.So it's fixed now. 1 hour of time and $330 in parts. And they wanted $2800. Abacus tried to take me for a ride, not so much intentionally I think, but out of the laziness of just selling their standard detector replacement package, where they rewire and then warranty the work. It's true my DIY effort, which a 15 year old teen could do, doesn't have a warranty. But at detectors do and wires generally don't go bad in 7 years. So I'm good without it.

They got a big project done and cleaned my ducts so even though I probably paid a little more they did provide more value so I am grateful.

Our electrical technician was Jose Ruiz and he did a super job! He explained everything clearly and how he would do the work for the estimate we had him come do. Everything sounded so good, price and process, we had Jose do the work right on the spot instead of waiting. As you can see by the photos, he did fast and great work and we are very pleased with it all. We will have Abacus/Jose come do all our future electrical needs!!

Maybe they’ve worked out for some people but for me they didn’t. They didn’t even wanna fix my electric water heater. They said those are no good that they don’t fix them. & he quoted me for a new water heater not tankless and for redoing the wiring and plumbing to run the water. For 5,654 they would do the work. I called because they told me they did work on tankless electric water heaters so if you are looking for that look elsewhere.

Called on Sunday for repair to leaking bath/shower valve. Not leaking, water just running out. They had a plumber there three hours later and fixed it. No trip charge, reasonable fee, I think. About the trip charge-nothing makes me drop a company faster than a trip fee they don't waive if you accept the bid.

Had previously given this company a 5 star rating. This week, we have had them out to replace our external electric box, update our internal box to current codes.After this, we found out we needed to replace our entire A/C system. They came out the next day, then left without finishing the work (we found this out when the new A/C stopped working the next day and one of their techs informed us that it was not complete).They also told me they would schedule someone to come the next day and re-install our attic stairs (this wasn't scheduled until I spoke to their management on Thursday night). It's currently Friday, the stairs have finally been re-installed (took literally 30 minutes to do). There are exposed wires lying on the ground outside next to our condenser that have been spliced together and covered in taped and I've been getting an endless string of your on the schedule for today, but no ETA after being told the evening before that someone would be out before noon.Update: Have two customer concern escalation tickets logged. We'll see if they get in touch.Update 2: They called and tried to schedule an appointment for Monday. I explained the situation to the scheduler (which was probably my 9th time to explain it to someone) who was very understanding and helpful in escalating it. Someone is now on the way out to the house. This was a horrible experience.Update 3: Finally fixed. I should say ALL the technicians we're excellent. The issue with this company seems to be with the installation crew, a lack of communication in customer service and dispatch, and management (except for Rick who was extremely helpful). I called early in the morning today in regards to getting a free estimate on my ac unit and was able to get an appointment by 12ishpm. The service tech Sammy Martinez was on time and well informing about the ac unit issue and was able to fix it within minute's. It was sure an unexpected expense, but it needed to be fixed. I was relieved and my ac should be blowing cold as usual now thanks to him! Also, I did obtain my invoice by email and also quite a few Detailed pictures he took outside on the unit & in the attic, which I really like!! Nice and friendly. I'd definitely recommend.

My air-conditioning was not cooling properly. So, I called Abacus in the afternoon and they were able to schedule a technician to come out to do a free estimate the same day. The technician discovered that the fan monitor had gone out and he did not have the part on his truck. We discuss repairing and replacing the unit since it was 14 years old. He scheduled comfort technician to come out the next morning to discuss pricing for both options. The next morning Jose Ortega came to discuss our options and pricing. We decided to replace to unit. The installation team lead by Ruben Guerrero came around 1pm the same day to start the installation. Eventhough they weren't able to finish in one day. They didn't stop working until 10 pm so we could have air that evening and not have to sleep in a hot house again. They just had to come back the next day to do minor things. They were very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Abacus air-conditioning repairs and replacement.

First of all I want to be honest and say that I sincerely had waited for my anger to dissipate and gave an opportunity to think over everything. Unfortunately, there is nothing can be done to relieve my complete and irreversible disappointment and frustration of the Abacus company and its rules or/and policies. Our house has a problem with furnace and its parts and apparently since it’s very old it couldn’t be fixed or parts do not exist anymore- very old like I said. So, the person came , spent 15 minutes looking at it and proclaimed that the broken part of furnace cannot be replaced or repaired -the only solution is to remove it and put a new one ( new furnace)The cost he gave us was overpriced beyond my understanding. To put more oil in the fire,he charged diagnostic fee of TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS 200.00$ just for looking at the old furnace. Let me be clear here : this is rip off!!! Abacus and those who make those prices : you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves! We are just simple and we are hard working people, you come to our houses and without any ethical difficulties just like that charge an astronomical amount. Now, I want to make sure you don’t give anybody surprise fees like you did to my family just for showing up and observation and I surely spread the word about how you do your business in the community.

First, Never use them, they are super expensive and totally looking to rip your head off. The estimator was shocked that I knew so much about AC and quickly went into , I am going to try and reason with the customer and explain why I am going to attempt to rip you off and overcharge you. I ask him some basic questions and he was in panic. He was 3 times more expensive on just Freon.He was upset I knew more than him and he was at a disadvantage, He than ask, What I wanted to pay? My response was, You are here to give me an estimate , not ask me what I am willing to pay, He then melted down and said, we have 401k , cell phones, company vehicles and get paid well, Not like most places, I said, all I want is a fair price, you don’t have to explain why you are going to knock my head off, Please Give Me the Price. He then mumbled and said, 6k ? He said, we are not cheapest and not for everybody. I told him what I paid for the unit next door and other units I own, He said , we don’t cater to investors and rentals. I said, I know what you cater to , people who are uninformed and don’t mind getting ripped off. DO NOT USE THEM!! They pray off uninformed weak consumers. I knew when I called a call center, I was in trouble. I despise companies who use these sales tactics and how they pray off gullible and weak consumers. They know what they do is wrong and they are the most expansive company for plumbing and air conditioning that you will ever call. Stay away. The sales tactics the guy used were poor. Who ask ? How much do you wanna spend ? Really????? Stay as far away as you can!!!They proved my point and I knew that is what they are about, You can find better plumbers and air conditioning companies that will treat you fair, this is not one of them, You will be paying 2 to 3 times more and that is not right, Be warned Now!!!

Earlier this year, we had a problem with our AC draining into the pan and shutting off. My husband called Abacus to have them come out. They sent out a technician who fixed the problem. I spoke with him on the phone and he sold me a maintenance plan that included one free annual SYSTEM inspection. Since I was under the assumption that they sent out an AC tech for our AC system, I signed up for it and paid $128. It discounted that days service $43. Last night my thermostat went out and the heater wouldn't come on. I called them around 8 to find out that we had a PLUMBING maintenance plan. This was never expressed to me on the phone call. I know this because we already have a plumber and I would have declined the maintenance plan. They gave me the option of keeping the plumbing plan and gifting me an AC plan and then next year, I could call in and cancel both. Um, no. I either want a full refund, prorated refund, or cancel my plan. I'm not going to give them the chance to mess up again and really break something in my house. So I spent $85 more than I should have for the service they provided.

After getting shafted by several mom & pop HVAC shops in the Humble area I finally called Abacus. They know what they are doing and will help you make the correct decision for your home. Nothing but positive things to say about our technician Miguel -- he's been out a few times and is always honest and helpful.

**if you need Emergency Plumbing Services** CALL THEM NOW, thank me later! Zach Fischer was amazing! We had our plumbing/sewer to back up into our home. 3 of our bathrooms were not working. We called 2 other companies who would not come out: 1st we called ARS Rescue Rooter- they couldn’t come out until tomorrow morning. 2nd we called Rosenberg Plumbing Services (who installed the plumbing) but they didn’t even want to come out (out of warranty & wouldn’t do emergency repair. DO NOT waste your time with them, so RUDE!). Called Abacus and from the time they answered I KNEW we were in good hands. We were assured they could help, they quickly verified availability of a technician & everything she said she would do, she did! I got a text message to confirm they were on the way & Zach called to confirm. He was here in just over an hour. He explained EVERY detail of what happened as soon as he walked in. (He’d already checked the outside and knew the issue!) We learned more from talking to him than we ever have! He fixed the issue in less than an hour and confirmed they’d be back to run a camera to be certain. We’re so grateful and will ONLY USE Abacus going forward. GREAT JOB ALL AROUND!!!!

We bought an entirely new hvac unit and AC from them after purchasing our house 2 years ago. They require regular maintenance through them or you forfeit your warranty, fine... however, they will schedule you a window of a HOURS they may show up, and then they don't show up, you waste an entire day sitting at home waiting for them. This has happened more than once. Since having it installed we are now having issues with our thermostat telling us to wait and not kicking on our a/c. We set up an appointment between specific hours and the tech showed up 30 minutes after the window. Without calling, even though we specifically stated we wouldn't be available after a specific time. I had to leave and so did he. He wasted time driving to my house and I wasted time waiting for him all day in a hot house. I called them and reminded them which number to call before coming tomorrow to fix this issue on the investment purchased less than 2 years ago. We shall see if they rectify this situation, considering they were here less than a month ago to do maintenance on it. If I would have known these guys were this unprofessional and I'd have to take this many days off work for my air conditioner.... I would have went elsewhere.

I've been getting the run around and ridiculously overpriced quotes from different HVAC companies. This company was the first reasonably priced one I found! In addition to this, the guys that came out were extremely professional and very knowledgeable!!! The technician Sammie went above and beyond with his diagnostic testing, even giving me helpful tips on maintenance. Sadly, my system was done for. Great experience with plumbing technician Dylan Green. Was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and respectful. Worked very efficiently and solved our plumbing issue.It was frustrating at first when I couldn't get a technician over last night when the issue happened and then when the arrival was later than originally expected the next day. But the main office did a good job explaining the delay in arrival so while it was unfortunate for us it was overall understandable.I normally would have taken a star or two off for that reason but Dylan did such a good job and with that experience being so good didn't feel things out of his control should be reflected on his review.Also kind of was disappointing that our plumbing issue didn't meet one of the requirements for the discounted promotion that would have saved us a LOT of money. Like $500 plus. But unfortunately we were unable to locate an exterior port on my house for the sewage line.Now just have to get my 4 year old son to stop flushing things down the toilet that he isn't supposed to be flushing. Oh boy are kids expensive. Haha

I can't say enough positive things about Jose Ruiz and the electrical panel replacement work he and Cody did today. He has a great personality and explained everything to my satisfaction. He kept me in the loop as the repairs were done as I was not at the house (no power) and then walked me though everything that was done when the work was finished. I especially liked the detailed labeling of all the breakers on the new box, in sharp contrast to the old box that was labeled by my builder's subcontractor. If I need electrical work in the future I'm asking for him by name.

`On Monday August 1, 2022 Jason Wells came to do my yearly inspection. He was very professional. I must say this was the best inspection I have had. He took over 2.5 hours. Jason took pictures of everything and sent me the pictures in a report.Jason explained what he was doing and why.He left everything very clean. I could not even tell where he had drained the hot water heater/I will always request Jason.

Today we had our A/C unit checked out by Eddy for the spring/summer checkup. Eddy was very nice, polite and very professional. He serviced our system & everything was good. He did show us how to spray lightly down our unit outside because dust gets on the vents which we didn't know to do this. Eddy talked with us & explained what all he did to our unit when he checked it out to make sure it is running good for the summer. Thank you, Eddy!We had a new system and ductwork installed on Saturday. This morning, 5 days later, we had a critical alarm showed up on or keypad. I called Abacus immediately and they sent Dan out within the hour. He explained to me about electrical surges that could happen, but he checked out the whole system and everything is fine. He really couldn't pin point what the problem was. Dan was amazing with his knowledge of the system and explained what he was doing. I felt very comfortable with him checking out our system. This company is amazing with their customer service, they respond immediately.

Great communication and knowledgeable technicians but very expensive compared to others. I was quoted almost $8k for a equipment that I was able to get from another company for less than half their quote.

David Daniel, he was very polite I'd highly recommend to have him come out again. He told us the issue, gave us estimates for future installments. Made sure the repair wasn't gonna leak or anything else. Not many people I'd have encountered are like him. He greeted us, him and my husband talked the whole time he was repairing our hot water hoses. And for my husband that means a lot if he really likes someone. Great service, from my call for service to repair completion. Everyone was caring and professional. The job was handled with no fuss or mess, everything was explained before it was done. Chris was polite and knew what he was doing. I am having another project done, I am dealing with Dana now, he has explained the problem and informed me on the pros and cons of doing the whole job now or doing it piecemeal. I am following his advice and getting it all fixed now, rather than later. I was quoted a great price and easy terms.The new job was completed and it is working perfectly Pepe and his assistant were great. Cleanup was done and they really did a great job. My only problem was communication with the office staff and management. I requested the job starting tuesday at 10:00 am allowing my daughter and grandson to be out of the house at work and at school. I got a call at 10:00 am informing me that Pepe would be here in the afternoon, which I said was not acceptable. I was informed the workers could not make to my house because they had to complete a unfinished job from the weekend. Long story short I was unhappy, I was told a manager would call me and he never did. I had to rearrange everything through Dana. Dana apologized and understood why I wanted the work done at the time I requested.I love the work they have done but dealing with the office staff and the manager that never called I am not happy with.

Scheduling was easy and quick. David E was absolutely amazing. He was professional, yet personable (we have a TV show liking in common) and was very verbal with what was causing the issues, how to prevent it, and all of our options (like a new garbage disposal vs taking it out altogether - I’m in an office). He worked on the toilet and sink for over 3 hours and didn’t even seem a little frustrated. Pricing wasn’t so bad, either. Would definitely recommend (and will use them again in the future).

I called them yesterday afternoon around 3pm to see if they could send someone over to clear out a kitchen clog that was also backing up into our master bathroom sink. The lady that took my request was friendly and stated that they could help the next day.First thing in the morning around 8am, I receive a call that the service tech Ali would be at my house within 45 mins. He arrived on time and after a brief discussion, he evaluated the situation and gave recommendations along with options.We choose the option we felt good about with NO pressure ever from him! We agreed to perform the cleanup service from the inside kitchen sink area. He did a great job keeping everything perfectly clean! He even put the booties on the wheels of the cleanup machine to roll through the house! Extremely professional, polite and informative. He also explained about a plumbing maintenance plan that I had already been researching on their website. We decided to try Abacus plumbing and air conditioning for our usual maintenance and repairs for Air conditioning. So far the technicians have turned out to be unprofessional, clumsy, and argumentative trying to get us to get a new ac unit when the problem can easily be fixed with a cheaper method. We joined this company paying them an annual fee for tune ups. Not to be sold for a new ac when the unit is functioning quite efficiently. On Jun 12, we needed a part to make the AC work. We needed a capacitor to fix our problem when the AC stopped working. The technician tried to tell us we needed a new AC and when my husband suggested he look at the capacitor as the culprit. He said Oh it's the capacitor. They changed the part.Two months later was our scheduled tune up.With our annual fee We are supposed to get tune ups to ensure things continue to run smoothly. We scheduled our tune up the day we signed up back in June and received NO appointment reminder till 30 minutes before the technician arrived on August 10, 2022 (yesterday). We received no reminder for this appointment till 30 minutes before the technician arrived, while most professional businesses give you a 24 hour notice and reminder in case something comes up.We had the worst display of professionalism, work ethic, and customer service by the AC technician named John V. He came to our house for an AC tune up to keep our system healthy and we has no issues with our system until he put his hands on it. He left our backyard gate open and attic open when he left and mishandled the parts in the attic causing it to not function properly and we're suddenly without air conditioning when he left till today when we had to waste more time with a separate appointment and technician. He displayed a lack of professionalism and argued with us. We ended telling him he needed to leave our property. We have received NO formal apology about their technicians behavior. We are questioning whether we want to continue as a customer. We have had many companies from different service departments visit my home and have never experienced this kind of unprofessionalism. We do NOT recommend anyone using Abacus plumbing and AC as their technicians treat customers rudely and with lack of professionalism and always recommend a new AC unit to up their sales when our unit is functioning just fine. Our time was greatly wasted with this tune up where the technician messed up our system as validated by the technician that came today.

After a rocky start by not getting to me on the day of my appointment which was set 1 day in advance, the technician Mike White was professional, transparent and patient. He explained the options I had with regards to the gas lines in my house and didn't push me to go with the most expensive option. It was nice to have the information and be able to make the best decision for my situation. He did all of the requested work efficiently and was a great representative for all plumbers and for Abacus.

Scheduled an appointment for them to come out to fix a plumbing leak I had. I think it was 3-4 days out. Was home to meet their technician. Just at the end of their window (which was toward the end of their work day) they called and said that they were short on people and just couldn't make it. I said that was fine and I understand that sometimes things just don't work out that well. Rescheduled for another day just a couple of days away. Got out of work early again to make sure I was home to meet the technician. No show, no call. Called them the next day and asked them what happened and got a story about how it was scheduled but somehow just got missed. Asked me if I wanted to schedule again for another time in the future. I declined and just got another local company to have a look. I would have just left it there but, I just got a letter from them in the mail and it said, We regret that your immediate plans did not include allowing our team of licensed plumbing, air conditioning and electrical professionals to be of service to you. YOU no-showed on ME...TWICE and when I had left work early to meet you. They might do good work, I wouldn't know. I'm sure they show for their appointments most of the time. Just didn't for me and then had the nerve to send me a letter that made it sound like I didn't take off work to be home for their scheduling.

Our annual plumbing inspection was needed and Tony was very professional and prompt. He showed up on time and after introducing himself he went straight to work.

They canceled and rescheduled 3 times and then called and said weekday estimates were free but weekend ones are $150. I had to arrange plans for employees to be there and then cancel those plans. After reading some of the other reviews it looks like I got off easy.If they can't manage a schedule, I don't trust them to actually do the job.Update: according to their canned response they've made 'internal adjustments' to prevent this from happening again, but just look at the other reviews--they haven't. Steer clear of this company.

They were excellent and on time. Right before the holidays my expectations were tempered, but Abacus was repair was done in a fast pace manor

I do not recommend this company to anyone. First of all, I trusted the reviews and accepted the company's annual subscription for the maintenance of my air conditioner, but I regret it. They gave me a date a month and a half later to come to see me and they texted me the day before that date and said that they were busy and they wanted to change the date to a different date, so I didn't accept it anyway, they agreed, but they came on the day they promised, but it came at 5 pm that day. It was about to rain, the technical service said that I will not work in the rain, lightning strikes me and left quickly and sent a report after him, he said the price he gave for cleaning is more expensive than other companies and it should be changed a bit. I looked at the price of the part, it was 30$, but they want 1000 dollars to replace it, the labor is expensive but it's a small piece takes 10 minutes max to replace and $970 for labor is too high. I would not recommend, you can get better services at more affordable prices.

I am very disappointed in this business. I had an issue with my A/C unit not pushing out cold air. We had a technician come out and inspect the unit. He informed us the Compressor was bad, and it would be cheaper to get a whole new unit. I asked if it was the capacitor, and he said the capacitor was not the issue. He didn't even check the capacitor.The man then quoted me $9,600 for a new unit but had a 10-year warranty on it. I told him I would have to think about it, in which he said, I'm not your financial advisor, but you'll need a new unit soon. He then charged me $199 for the diagnostic, even though I told him I was a veteran.I called an army buddy of mine who was HVAC certified as well. He informed me my Compressor was fine, but my capacitor was dead. He then replaced it without issue, and now my family saved over 9000.I am disappointed that this business would take advantage of a veteran and his family, especially in these hard times. I pray that no other family is taken advantage of by this company, who's main focus is to sell A/C Units and not repair them.I even looked up the same unit that was quoted and found it to be around $2300. Unless labor is $7000, this company is taking advantage of people. My only regret is that I cannot give it a zero star.Abacus, shame on you. Shame on you for taking advantage of people in this heat. Shame on you trying to sell me a whole unit when it wasn't needed. Shame on you for charging me $200 for a diagnostic. I hope you change your business model and think of the people you serve.

I give 3 stars for coming out next day and flawless communication.We had water heater pilot light issue, and the tech asked $250+ just to ignite pilot light, and $350+ for full inspection. There was no way that I would pay $350+ just to figure out what was wrong with it. He was keep giving me big numbers for part replacement, changing water heater. But my water heater was only 3 years old. He discounted to $125 just ignite the pilot light. He was telling me we would need to change the gas valve and much more, even told me the cost to replace the 3 years old water heater just for pilot light issue. I did not go with him and decided to call manufacturer and other tech for 2nd opinion.I contacted manufacturer after he left, and was informed with many maintenance tips, such as cleaning flame trap (air filter) located at the bottom water heater. Clogged air filter could prevent sufficient airflow, causing pilot light to go off frequently. Customer rep told me it is the most common reason for frequently pilot light problem. Tech from Abacus did not mentioned anything about that, focused more on how to make me spend big money, while customer rep from manufacturer sounded more knowledgable in maintenance.I should have researched Youtube or contacted manufacturer before calling Abacus. Tech from Abacus was friendly and Abacus staffs were very friendly and helpful as well, fully licensed for big project or replacement project, but I don’t think they are meant for small maintenance problems.

Their technician, Julio Arenas, is very professional, respectful, knowledgeable and polite. He removed old anode rod on water heater tank and installed a new one. I experienced low water pressure on guest bathroom shower and he went above and beyond to resolve the issue. He was on time, he's very organized, good communication skills and explains everything clearly. We have being Abacus customers for 3 years, always a great experience with them. Thank you!

I called Abacus Friday morning about having no hot water. They were able to come out that same day and checked our water heater. It was determined that it had a defective part and since it was under warranty, they did the installation of the new part for free. This was two years after they had installed a new hot water heater because the old one was not working. Again, because it was under warranty, we received a new water heater for free. I feel very comfortable doing business with Abacus.

Dan Darrow is our top rated HVAC specialist at Abacus, and we always ask for him to be assigned as our service rep whenever we need our two yearly inspections and any additional services which are required in between. The surges leading up to the power outage on Monday knocked out something inside our furnace. Despite having a built in home generator, we had no heat until Dan arrived around noon today——it was 46 degrees on the first floor of our home when he arrived. He quickly diagnosed the problem, had it resolved, and for the first time in days we could start shedding heavy jackets and knit hats to just sit in our home and be working. The best of wishes for only good health and much happiness, always, for Dan and his family.1-3-2023Our AMP electrical inspection was performed by Bradford Purser, with whom we were extremely impressed!! Knowledgeable, confident, articulate and very much focused on customer service and satisfaction. Pleased to report additional satisfaction with Abacus Plumbing! Not only did Matt do an excellent job at my gas line installation but now Mario and his co worker provided some minor electrical work ( hung light fixtures and hung my new chandelier )! Mario identified some additional electrical work that needs to be done( grounding, new meter box). Prices a bit on the high side for my budget but they have do- able financing. Overall, pleased with their work!

Both Colton and Rick were very friendly and professional. They were very honest about what repairs were necessary and what could wait. I love the convenience of Abacus’s system. When a technician is on the way, they call you and give you about 45 min notice. Then you can track your technician’s location in real time, like an Uber. Great idea and very useful… all repair trades should do this!! The first time I called Abacus due to a leak, the tech tightened up a few things to fix the leak, and he didn’t even charge me a service fee for the visit, which was very surprising nowadays and very much appreciated. So of course I called them back again this time, and I was satisfied with the work and pricing. It was nice to feel like my technicians were not in a rush to get to their next appointment, and wanting to make sure all my questions were addressed thoroughly. Thanks again for the great service!

Called on a Saturday morning and they were out within a few hours. I lost power to half of my house. The technician (Ricardo) came out and after a through inspection found what was wrong and how to fix it. I was given options and prices on what my house needed as far as electrical work. I feel he was honest and fair.

Someone paid 13k for a 2.5 ton air conditioner from this organization. They say there is a warranty to 2025.... Including all labor etc.... Call as in 2022 the unit lost 6lbs of refrigerant and abacus will not warranty a single thing.Organizations like this... Is what give blue collar industries a bad name. Taking advantage of people who don't know better.Stay away.

Had sinks backing up due to AC drain pipes being clogged & the tech came out & did a good job & it took him a couple of hours. Cost a lot but he did a good job. Same issue at my parents house & a different tech came out & was not very friendly, did less than 25 minutes of work & charged over $700. As soon he walked out the door, the tub next to the sink he just fixed started backing up & asked my mom if she poured water in there. He said that is a different issue. Called the customer service & still waiting to hear back from manager.Save your money & get someone else.

Looking for new HVAC system for my property in Galveston. Spent 15 minutes with the Abacus rep in Costco, Webster, TX today and set a morning appointment for 8/22/2022. Crystal left a voicemail this evening asking me me to call back if I have a property that is “within their service area.” These people are untrained and unprofessional — complete waste of time.

Richard Amer did an excellent job, even though it was raining off and on the day of installation, and our attic is so hot! They were there all day and stayed until the job was completed.

Tom came out same day to replace the shut off valves for the washing machine connection. I had new appliances delivered that morning and the installers pointed out corrosion on the valves and recommended replacement. Was great to have Tom show up within 2 hours of me placing my call to replace the valves and get my new machine connected.

Lee Paterson was the technician who helped with the issue. He was very knowledgeable and explained all in detail. He was responsible and finished his work. I am happy with their work and Would recommend this company to anyone who needs a certified technician.

After deciding it’s time to take the plunge to get a new AC system, I contacted quite a few local companies that were all highly rated on Google. None of them gave me the experience I had with Abacus. From my initial call in, they started off on the right foot. Customer service was exceptional and everyone was easy to talk to, never awkward or uncomfortable. Our sales/technician, Bradley, was second to none. Out of every person that came to our home Bradley exceeded the standard. He sat with me to explain not only the process of what would happen during an install, but what the heck is involved in an HVAC system in the first place. He went over the different types of units we could install and how each one would benefit us. The fact that he spent so much time to go over every single detail was really so helpful. I’m so glad I found Abacus, and I can’t wait for our new system to be installed later today!

The guy was nice, but I felt like I was being taken advantage of. He gave me a few options for replacing my AC unit, quoted me $37,000 for replacing 2 AC units. I was hesitant so he called his supervisor to see what he could do. The price seemed too expensive so I started looking at pricing on my phone while he waited for a response, other websites in the area have prices for the same replacements and installation for $3,000-$7,000. He then dropped my price down $30,000 and said I was getting quite the deal. I told him I thought it was too expensive and asked what an AC unit even costs - told me at least $10,000…This is where I really felt like I was getting ripped off and lied to. I told him I wanted to think about it and on his way out, he said I know you’re probably going to call around, we do price match if you find something within reason, but going with someone else you won’t get this deal or as good of service…This whole experience was really upsetting, especially considering they replaced our electric panel recently, so I thought we were in good hands. My husband and I were talking about it and started googling what that cost of an electric panel would be, come to find out we were ripped off there too. They charged us $7,000 for this and other places in the area are doing it for $1,600-$2,500. Save your money. There are better places out there that won’t lie or nickel and dime you.

Once again, the technician, Mr. Eric, who came today to service our heater for spring/summer 2023, was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. His kindness and empathy as I have a sick parent was the most rewarding. He worked quietly and diligently. Thank you, Mr. Eric.

I called Abacus for a comparison quote on an ancient AC unit. Their sales person (Bradley) came over the same day and measured and tested the existing system. He sat down with me and explained the differences between the types (single stage, dual stage, and variable) and the pros and cons of each. I had done my research ahead of time, so that I was not going in blind. His information aligned with everything I had learned, and he also helped me connect the dots on the math behind the calculations. The best thing was, although their prices were slightly higher than competitors, they were all inclusive, no hidden costs, and that was exactly true. I purchased a new variable system and I got a great deal on it. The installer (Israel) and his crew were professional and courteous, communicated timing accurately, and even waited to get a replacement thermostat when one did not work correctly. This was a great experience, and I highly recommend Abacus for your next AC need.

I called to get my ac checked.the technician talked too fast…didn’t let me speak or answer any questions because he would keep interrupting me. Once he went into my attic n saw my duct work, which was not all fully visible…he was already saying, oh that’s gonna be like 14k already just for the duct work. Once he got my quote and explained, he asked if i had any questions, i did. I asked what the seer rating was for the unit quoted and he told me it was 14. And i asked what the cost would be for a 16 SEER unit, and that’s when he just got real mad and left. What a horrible experience. I’ve had previously contacted abacus last year and they didn’t even show up to the appointment! I thought i would give them a second chance, but they’ve proved to me that their service is just not that great.

Everything went as planned. Bryan is a solid dude! Got everything fixed up and running again that I needed done.

So we called this company at 8am yesterday and they sent out Rafeal and he came around 430pm. He was very knowledgeable and polite! He was informative and provided all the options that we needed for our system. Here it is the next morning and we are still cool. I have passed this company information to my neighbors and my friends because of Rafeal great service.

You charged my elderly father in law $5200 to replace a hot water heater and left the place a mess!!! crooks!!! do not use this place they take advantage of the elderly.

ABACUS technician, Douglas Palacios, came to our house on 8/24/22 to inspect a circuit breaker tripping issue. He was very professional, friendly, technically knowledgeable, listened carefully to what we described, promptly investigated the matter, and provided clear options to resolve the issue. He did a great job fixing the problem by performing exactly what we agreed on within the time promised. Great tech and highly recommended.

I was looking for a quote for a plug and switch on my patio and they were on time they gave me my estimate. Tech was very professional, and wanted to answer any questions that I had. Eric Devaughn came to check my A/C unit today & did an excellent job. He checked the outside unit & the attic unit. He answered all my questions & gave me maintenance ideas. He was a joy to work with. Abacus is a great company & if I have any complaints it would be that getting a service request takes entirely way too long & I am a Abacus member. Not happy about that at all & it has happened before.

Abacus claimed that they would come and give a diagnostic free of charge. Then the day of my appointment they claimed there was a $200 diagnostic fee.
