Moss electric came out and provided a quote for several projects in our home. Over the next two weeks, after multiple calls, we were unable to receive a call back regarding scheduling. The owner was extremely condescending, wishing us the best in finding someone for the price they’d quoted, and that they were slammed.

We were not demanding urgency in accomplishing the job, simply communication.

I’d gladly pay extra to actually get the job done.

Edited: the technician was polite, but extremely young. You’re welcome to be offended, but the issue is with the unresponsiveness. Liar is a more appropriate term, as we were told three times over two weeks that someone would “call us that afternoon.” This amount of effort to attempt to hire a company is simply unacceptable in today’s market. You were absolutely condescending, much more concerned that I was frustrated than that your business was being handled unprofessionally.

Replaced an electrical panel for a girl I just started dating. Unfortunately for here I wasn’t privileged to the transaction until afterwards. I have an electrical background and have replaced all wiring and panel in houses I have owned. The reason the panel was replaced was to add additional breaker positions for a dishwasher.
The replaced the panel and wired for the dishwasher. The panel is attached to a concrete block wall, so it is easily accessible. To do the entire job they charged her $4000. I could’ve done the entire job and a half a day for the price of a panel which would’ve been under $200. Then it took her forever to get down to wire for the dishwasher, they did not want to come back and do that. She was finally able to come back and get them to do it, and they did a horrible job on that as well. It’s not even to code! These guys took advantage of a woman who had no idea about anything just to make a few dollars off of her! And to top it all off, she is a schoolteacher and does not have extra money to just throw around like that. These guys should be ashamed of themselves and I would never called them for anything after what they did to her!
Additionally, they were very rude to her and made fun of her for trying to explain the problems she was having. She told him she just wanted everything to work probably and he said well, I want a new car, but we don’t get everything we want. What a way to treat a paying customer!

I called them on the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving because we were having issues with the plugs in two bedrooms. It was bad enough that I had to switch off all the bedroom plugs on our breaker. The next morning they had a technician out to the house and he tracked down and resolved the issue. It gave us tremendous peace of mind to know that was resolved before traveling for Thanksgiving.

I attempted to schedule an internet cable installation on Friday July 28th. I was told someone would be out Monday 31July. They did not come. I was told they would schedule a time for mid week. I heard nothing from them until I messaged again Thursday august 3rd. They scheduled the install for 9-11am on Friday. I stayed home from work to meet them. No show. I called at 11:15. I was told someone would be out right after their current job. No one showed up the rest of the day, and now they will not answer the phone. Find someone else to do your electrical work.

Extremely Disappointing.

I contacted Moss Electric to install wiring for a newly purchased hot tub. They sent an electrician out in a few days to give me a quote which went smoothly. I accepted the quote and that is about where the positive experience ended. My original appointment to get the work done was scheduled for Tuesday the 14th, I got a call early that morning that they would not be able to honor the scheduled appointment due to an emergency call they had to take care of. I understand these things happen sometimes so we rescheduled to the next day, Wednesday the 15th.

The electrician arrived on the 15th and began to work on the project. About an hour or so in he speaks to me explain that he has to leave (halfway through the project) for another emergency appointment. So he leaves and we reschedule again for the work to be done. The next appointment was for the 21st in which a different set of electricians come to finish the job. As they are finishing the work I fill up the hot tub and the electrician informs me that he has accidentally ‘scratched’ aka gouged the hot tub with one of his tools. I’m extremely annoyed but not much I can do about it at this point. They then charge me for the service and leave for the day.

The next day I wake up and notice Moss Electric has charged me double what they intended to my credit card because they forgot that I paid a 50% deposit up front. I have to call them to fix it which they did. Additionally they left 2 gaping holes in my laundry room next to the breaker panel that were not fixed until I called and requested them to do so. The patch job was done today but was less than stellar as the drywall is loose in the wall. I will most likely have to fix it myself if I want it to be structurally sound.

Overall Moss Electric lacked attention to detail in multiple aspects of the job and drug out a job that could have been done in a day to over 2 weeks as well as left me to do patch work I paid them for, and scratched my hot tub before I even got to use it. Would not recommend.

We had our ceiling fan and a closet light fixture trouble shooter and replaced. Josh was excellent, great customer service, politely explained issues, fixed repairs and helped us going to home depot, purchasing replacing fixtures, and communicating with us via phone during the purchase process sharing pictures. He went over and beyond, and we appreciate him and the business for the help. His assistant Chris was great too, professional, helpful, double teaming with any tasks needed. Will be referred for sure.
