We had called Holt out to replace our pump tank pump. The technicians discovered that it could be repaired, not replaced, saving us potentially thousands of dollars. It is their motto to try and repair before replacing and they sure lived up to it their first time out. The technicians were respectful, thorough, and took the time to educate us. Thank you, Holt!

Holt Plumbing has always been reliable and professional. In a sea of mediocrity, they shine as a beacon of professionalism and quality customer service. They are always my first call.

Do not use Holt plumbing. They are happy to leave you with a mess of their creation. They take your money, leave you with leaks, and claim they completed the job.

I still have leaking fittings, unsupported pipes, broken PVC, and a tangled mess of pex pipes. This project would not pass codes, permits, or plumbing licensing. I have made many attempts to get the problems fixed properly and have only heard that “Mr. Holt is not going to make the repairs.”

My complaints and evidence documentation will be distributed. Hopefully, this will help others not be scammed.

Made an appointment and Holt gave me time window from 1-4pm, I took the day off work and waited, they didn’t show up or even call. I called they said there was a problem and can’t come until the next day. Asked to talk to owner Eric Holt but he refused to take calls, emails per his staff. The manager Ricky called me and he said you don’t like our service or our pricing so go call someone else, we don’t need you as a customer. Wow !! what a unprofessional. I feel so blessed to not even come near my home.

Stay away from HOLT!!

This is not my first time using Holt. Yet, each time their work in quality and professionalism as well as pricing was proven.

On this assignment, I checked around on price through Angi/Home Advisor. Usually pricing is pretty good for other services. However, plumbing quotes are not as favorable.

Therefore, when I called Holt. Their pricing was $65 cheaper for both visit and service than its competitors starting price.

Rodney out of Murfreesboro was both personable and professional. He got in and out less than an hour. Service totally satisfying.

Recently had Holt repair a leak in the slab. The leak detector company report showed the leak was under the wall separating the laundry room and a closet. The reco was to open the floor in the closet under carpeted area, but Holt disagreed. They wanted to over charge me if I made them open the closet floor. Holt tore up my laundry room tile floor and didn't find the leak. The leak was under the carpet like they were told it was. Now I have to repair tiles in the laundry for no reason other than pure stubbornness by Holt. Finally, the concrete patch they did was horrible. They left me with an extremely uneven surface. It was so bad I had to chip it out and re-pour with leveling cement to get a flat surface ready for tiling. No customer service, no respect for homeowners. Avoid at all costs.

Other plumbers we called (one of the big companies) didn’t know how to work with iron pipes and wanted to rip everything out to install PVC. Crazy. Holt was fast to fix our sewage leak and reasonably priced. Thanks!

TERRIBLE customer service! A guy came to my apt bc our washing machine was leaking. He came and told us to change the hoses. This took all of 10 min. Then I get a bill charging for 1.5 hrs of labor. I called four different times, each time being promised it would be fixed and charged for the minimum 1 hr instead. No one ever did anything. My husband paid the full amount bc stones river property management lumped it in with our rent.
UPDATE: I did finally hear I would get my money back but it's still very annoying and a waste of my time to have to call so many times. I was very aware of what was promised to my husband but since none of the other times I called produced results, I didn't believe anything would be done especially since they don't even know how to send an invoice through the mail.

On September 3rd, I called for a service call. The septic tank was backing up into the house. A plumber was sent fairly quickly. He walked around the yard with my son-in-law for about 15 minutes and was stated he was unable to tell where the septic tank was located. He told us that it could be under the patio and the only way to tell is to have a guy with a camera come out and take pictures of the ground to locate the tank. This would cost $299.00 per hour. We waited until about noon and did not hear from the camera guy. On the recommendation of a neighbor contacted Alvis Plumbing. Four guys came and in about 15 minutes had located septic tank and dug it up. They showed us the problem and by three that afternoon they had someone pump the tank and installed new lines the next day. A week later I received a bill from Holt for $75.00. I called and was told that there was an automatic hourly charge to have someone come. My complaint is that I was never told there would be a charge for someone to show up . I never us service people who charge to come out. The second thing is that obviously the person who came although he was a really nice man obviously knew nothing about septic tanks. I would never use nor recommend this company again.

I was very pleased with the staff who worked at my home. They were courteous, hard working and professional. Chris and Mark kept me abreast of what they were doing. I had a very good impression of Holt Plumbing.

Noticed a leak around my water heater today. Called Holt and within a few hours they had a repairman out. He replaced the unit in less than 2 hours! Excellent job at a very fair price. I highly recommend Holt Plumbing.

Ruined our pipes by not running the refresh cycle and filled our pipes with coconut charcoal. Due to poor workmanship caused our basement to flood 3 times resulting in black mold. Do not do business with this group. Several service calls were required and the job was not done correctly multiple times and remains not done correctly.

Update** was told on the front end that the pressure was higher than usual which might cause an issue with the water filter, no solution was offered at that time. After the pipe burst recently the solution of adding a depressurization valve was suggested. Not sure why this suggestion wasn't made in the first place but they were kind enough to offer to come out and do the work they should have done on the front end at full price.

Holt always gets the job done for us!

Love Love Love Holt Plumbing. Our toilets were leaking and they were there the same afternoon. Our water bill went from $150/month to $45/month. We also had an underground leak near our irrigation system. Again, they were there the same afternoon we called. Professional, reasonably priced and so nice. I can't say enough good things about Holt Plumbing!!

I had to replace three toilets in my house. Holt is very responsive and friendly and professional. They did the job and did it right. I will call them for any future needs and I highly recommend them.

Like many of the other reviews say, don’t use Holt Plumbing. We called them when our shower water flooded our washer, figured it was a clog. One of their techs confirmed there was a clog in the main line and he came out here THREE times and never fixed it. He claimed he cleared it each time yet after each visit, something was actually WORSE. Another plumbing company came out and was able to clear it and video inspect to see that it was in fact cleared. Holt’s tech never had or even mentioned a way to confirm it was cleared, he never pulled anything out with his cable and just guessed that he had it. So not only did he not fix it at all each time, he made the problem significantly worse, affecting all other sinks that were previously fine. On top of that, he was unprofessional, nicked my door and cabinet, tracked mud and dirt everywhere, was more interested in socializing than doing his job, and was overall incompetent and disgruntled. He obviously didn’t care about properly doing his job and put in the least amount of work/effort possible. Holt has a recording when you call that talks about their standards and handpicking their team members—so if this is the kind of tech they thoughtfully select, wow! Our experience in contrast with a different company was night and day—they offered expert advice and opinions, were professional, competent, fixed the problem and were able to confirm it was fixed through video inspection, which also gave us a helpful understanding of the health of our pipes. Holt refused even a partial refund for their lack of job completion and competency. Pass on Holt.

UPDATE 4/23: This review is being updating to reflect that David Holt reached out to me directly and apologized for this incident and is issuing me a refund. While their service was a headache and unfortunate, I appreciate his personal call and how they are rectifying this incident.

Holt Plumbing did a job for me today at my Granite shop in Nashville. I was extremely pleased with their work and professionalism. I would highly recommend them.

Very professional and reliable.

I had an outside faucet freeze and burst. It was not an emergency, so I called the plumber who had installed the faucet two years earlier. He quoted me over $700. I told him no thanks and called Holt. Mike came out and installed a new faucet in less than an hour. He was courteous and efficient. The total charge was $159 for one hour labor plus $41 for the faucet, which was about what HD or Lowes would have charged. I couldn’t be happier with Mike’s work and Holt Plumbing.

Mark K repaired an outdoor faucet at my home today. He did a great job . The entire experience was handled professionally by Mark & the office , especially Ricky. Great company that I have always relied on to do an exceptional job.

Called on Saturday morning about a less-than-2-year-old ECO Smart Electric Tankless water heater than was making a banging noise, but was still working, so agreed to Monday appt. By the time James got here on Monday, the unit had stopped working. James did all of the suggested troubleshooting without success. Called technical support (which is only available M-F, 9-5 (which is an issue in itself . . . ). Had to order parts which took several days to ship.

I know that James spent a minimum of 3 hours on the phone with technical support (more than half on hold). James and HOLT staff communicated with me at least once each day to update me on status, even though it was completely outside of their control.

Once parts were received, James replaced, tested and tested some more. I could not be more pleased with the customer service and attention that I received from James and the office staff. Not only that - I was shocked - let me say again - SHOCKED at the total price. They did NOT mark up on parts (I know this because I checked), and I was probably only charged for about half of the time that James actually committed to this project. The Electric Tankless Hot Water Heaters are relatively new, and pretty tricky. I appreciate the fact that HOLT Plumbing did not use my service call as an 'opportunity' for exposure to this new technology. They've got a customer for life.

Worst driver

Knowledgable technicians, on time, efficient, and courteous. Would use them again and recommend to family and friends in the area.

Called them last night made an appointment for the afternoon next day. They were able to come even earlier first thing in the morning which was great. Both of the gentlemen were very professional and courteous. They brought a small backhoe in case they needed it, but were able to excavate around the water meter using a shovel and other digging tools. They had all the parts they needed and the leak was fixed in less than 2 hours. Very pleased with their work and we'll use them again in the future.

This is my second positive experience with Holt Plumbing. I had a competitor give me a bid for $341.00 for my clogged and dripping sink. My tech Jamie from Holt only needed to snake the sink and 20 minutes and $85.00 later I am a very satisfied customer.

The best aspect of Holt Plumbing is the employees. In my experience they have been skilled, and knowledgeable, and courteous.

Update: we later had problems the same day the plumber came out and called them to come back and fix the problem. They spent the entire day rest of the day and half of the next day trying to unclog a pipe. We were told that they would have to cut up the carpet and it would be an expensive job. As soon as the left with the problem still unresolved we called another plumber that we use and they had the problem taken care of in 10 minutes. Holt plumbing was so unprofessional when they sent the second plumber out. He arrived on crutches with a helper. There was no way they could have gotten the job done adequately. I would not recommend this company.

We needed a plumber that was dependable and efficient for my job (Lucent Health) and Holt came out the very next day and fixed our problem. The gentleman that came out was prompt, funny and got the job done. Great company.

Poor customer service. The project was half done and there are still leaks under the occupants home. This company is holding up the progression of my project of digging and pouring footers for piers under the subfloor.

Very responsive when our plumbing failed in the freezing weather. Made sure our paperwork was correct to send off to insurance. Would absolutely call again!

Called on a Sunday while Nashville was still recovering from below freezing temperatures so the plumbers were all on overtime hours but they were able to send someone out the next morning. Excellent service all in all, highly recommend!

Very pleased to work with Holt Plumbing. They actually just left today and the job is 100% complete and I am very satisfied with both the work and price. My issue was with our main sewer line becoming clogged ( with what we found out was YEARS of a tree root growing inside). They came out and quickly diagnosed the issue, even leaving me a copy of the video footage. Then came back out in just a few business days to dig up and expose the pipe, repair/replace, and also reseeded and placed hay on my lawn. I had some very bad luck with another plumber. Called up Holt Plumbing and they were able to get my sink fixed. I was having a back up issues and a gargling noise after use, but no more.

We had a loud noisy machine gun bang in our wall whenever we turned hot water on. It was very stressful as we live in a condo. Byron came and figured out the problem in less than 20 minutes! Just an old PRV gone bad! Noise gone and hot water great! Turns out we didn’t even need it cause our water pressure is so good! Thanks guys! We love Holt! Thanks Byron!

Our upstairs bathroom had two leaks. One in the sink and one in the shower. My handy husband, or even i, would fix it ourselves but just don't have the time right now, plus the plumbing issue was causing some sort of leak from our shower causing water to drip through and down to the first floor. I assumed it was a deep clog or leaky pipe. Mitch came out at a very accommodating hour, fixed it up, sent me pictures of everything for my husband, tested everything to make sure there were no leaks, and charged reasonably. A few days later I noticed a drip still coming from the shower, but only while in use. I called Mitch back who came over asap, found that the problem wasn't the plumbing/piping, but a silicone issue with our upstairs tub/shower. An easy solution that I didn't even see!! After he took the time to thoroughly describe and show me the real issue for my dripping ceiling, I thanked him again and asked him how much for coming out again and he insisted on no charge! I've never had a better, more reasonable, more accommodating experience with any professional plumbing service before! Highly recommended! :)

I called Holt for to take a look at my 10 year old hot water heater when it stopped working while I was out of town (pilot light wouldn't stay lit). They were able to check it out fairly quickly and called me to let me know it needed to be to replaced based on it's age, for a cost of roughly $1,785 (which seemed high). I waited until I could look at it myself, found it was the thermocouple, replaced it myself in 30 minutes for $20 and it's been working perfectly for a month now.

I still had to pay a service charge of $159, which was annoying since they didn't really do anything or offer to try to temporarily restore it to working order until I could return to decide about replacement. I understand that companies have policies about best practices and when to replace things, but I thought the replacement cost was high and was disappointed by the lack of effort to get it working. They were very nice on the phone for what that's worth.

Rodney and Dalton responded to a disconnected pipe in our crawl space within the time they promised on July 5th and cheerfully fixed the problem in 10 minutes !! The cost was very reasonable . Another estimate was much higher.. Definitely will use them again and recommend you call if their services are needed.

We've used them before and had them out to insulate some pipes a week previously. I called with an issue with my water heater and was told that someone would be out later in the afternoon and it would be overtime (Sat). No one came, no called. I called Sunday and got an answering service and decided to contact someone else Mon. It's hard to find dependable contractors, be it mechanics, electricians or plumbers.

I had a broken pipe and water leak in the holiday season 2022. After a few attempts with other companies, Holt is the only one able to dispatch technicians after hours. Darren did such a thorough job of locating and replacing the broken pipe later that evening. We got our water back on the same day!

Jan 18 purchased steam-mist product. They charged us way over market price for product and when asked didnt return call. Fast forward six months. Product not functioning. Called Holt and was told please go under your house and call this number, this is between you and manufacture and I felt they were extremely rude and dismissive. I had never been under my house? Told us they would charge and in conversation the price of this went from 85/hr to 127/hr. While they later back tracked after warned with small claims suit and reports to the state and BBB. Issue here is when company purchases and installs product and client pays top dollar, they should offer to help and stand behind work. Had I read the other commentaries here I would have gone in a different direction. At this point I am just going to have another company deal with what should have been a simple and friendly exchange.

Good Experience today. Michael was quick and efficient fixing my issue, but made sure to spend the time thoroughly testing to make sure it was fixed and I was comfortable with his work prior to leaving. Price was fair.

I’m writing for my friend, Pam Burns, a widow, that asked me for help. In February she paid over $400 for a new garbage disposal. It didn’t work right from the beginning, some times it worked and sometimes not. She called and was told she’d have to pay to have them come to see what’s wrong. Finally the person that installed it came but she only let him in under the understanding she wasn’t paying for him to look, he assured her there wouldn’t be a charge. She received a bill. She called for the manager twice, was told by office staff he wasn’t available and they’d give him the message. By her third call she got him and he said he never got the messages. He also said the disposal isn’t faulty but rather it wasn’t working from the beginning because of her, she put cat food in the disposal. She had been doing that for 31 years with the same disposal that was replaced originally back in February and not large amounts, a tablespoon or two. He told her it wasn’t the disposal and that if they were to replace it she would have to pay the close to $300.00 installation fee. She’s not paying $700.00 for a disposal!
She would not recommend Holt Plumbing! She’s disappointed to say the least, being on a fixed income. She feels she has thrown over $400 out the window!

If cat food is the problem, why is it only now with the new disposal and not 5, 10, 20, 30 years ago with the old disposal?
What is the brand of the disposal that was installed in February, it’s not on the bill?

Had a leaking dishwater and asked for someone to check. Technician seemed inexperienced and had to check if they fix or not appliances. After checking his paper work and stating they didn’t, he left. Received a quote for a repair a week later and called the office to question the proposal. Office manager was very condescending from the beginning of the conversation. I do not recommend their services specially if you are a woman.
To add to their response. I hope the call is recorded and you can listen to it. If not, the office manager was condescending from the beginning. If being a woman doesn’t matter, then your office manager is just plain rude without discrimination.

Do yourself a favor and perform some research prior to contacting...Holt Plumbing (Murfreesboro) arrives unprepared to accommodate the most basic of jobs. Another company had to be called in to finish the job.

Had a great experience with Holt Plumbing. The day I moved in my hot water heater began to leak and had to be replaced. Brad was excellent and squeezed me in to get it replaced the next day. I definitely recommend them.

I was in a huge mess with everything going on and already started this bathroom project before. I ordered 2 vanities and come to find out 1 didnt fit properly and the other had to be positioned in a way where the pipes weren’t directly under the sink.

Ricky came out and he was absolutely fantastic! It felt like it was going to be touch and go for a bit, but he managed to create an opening in 1 vanity to allow for the pipes as well 2 small holes for the water lines. ANd it turned out looking great!

For the other bathroom, he worked so hard to get all the pieces aligned and I've never been happier! He even noticed the stopper in my toilet was corroded and fixed it AND determined that there was something wrong with the water pressure. I’ll definitely make sure we call them to have it corrected!

My husband and I have used Holt Plumbing twice and we had great service and experience both times. The first time our water service line was leaking right beside the meter box. After American Leak Detection located the leaking spot, we called several plumbing companies, and decided to work with Holt because they offer a much competitive quote and they responded to us very professionally and quickly. They scheduled the repair as soon as possible. We left for work and when we were back, the work has been completed. They have tried their best to restore the yard as well. We really appreciated their professional work. The second time was to fix the water running in the tank of a toilet upstairs. Call Holt Plumbing at 10am and they had Gary come over to have it fixed at 12pm. Super fast service and high quality work. We strongly recommend Holt Plumbing if you are in Nashville area. We live in Brentwood, and we will definitely use them again later.

This is an unconventional review, but I believe good deeds should be rewarded so here I go:

We called Holt Plumbing Co., LLC for a second opinion after ARS/Rescue Rooter told us our hot water heater had gone out due to our basement flooding flooding and needed to be replaced. Crystal said that the diagnosis sounded strange to her and if it was wet, for us to get a fan and a hairdryer and try to dry it out before lighting the pilot light again. We did that and sure enough it lit right up!

In addition, we called ABS to complain and they said they never even tried to re-light the pilot (WHAT?!). Madness.

I had a last minute emergency while out of the country and Holt made it quick and easy allowing me to get back to busines . We have used them for years now and they always deliver.

Tech was rude. Specifically asked him to remove the urinal and unclog the line properly. He said he poured acid and cabled it. The water was draining very very slow after he left. His fix lasted 6 hours. Called the office today and they said that these kind of repairs are not warranted and will be billable if the tech has to come out again. They lost my business forever at that.

F.A.S.T. These guys know their stuff, got my leaking faucet (spraying water all over my kitchen fixed in no time flat. Courteous, fair priced, even got a confirmation call when the tech was on the way. Would recommend to anyone needing a professional job done right.

Had a back up while out of town and wife was home alone. Originally, the first availability they had was the following day, but they made efforts and were able to fit us in same day due to the nature of our issue.

The techs were very thorough and were professional and respectful on site.

There was a lack of communication on the billing end of the service call and a discrepancy on the invoice, but the Manager (Mr. Johnson) contacted me directly to discuss and was very honest, professional and courteous in talking care of those issues for a fair result.

There were a few mistakes in getting here in a timely manner, but once that was cleared up, everything else went good.
We are still waiting on a copy of the video from the drains.

Brought them in to fix what another plumber did. That's the hardest thing for a contractor to do, because they not only have to do a great job starting from 0, they have to overcome obstacles someone else created. Hold did it, and I'll use them anytime I need plumbing from now on.

Holt Plumbing was recommended to me by my property manager. My hot water heater died of old age and it was time to replace. I had a very short window in which the replacement could be made; Holt plumbing was very easy to get a hold of, and scheduling the replacement was easy, efficient, and very reasonably priced. Being out of town was no issue. I am thankful they were able to do the work (and it was an oddly sized water heater, too) quickly and they were all so nice and courteous. I cannot say enough about this company. I bought a house a few months ago and have had several plumbing issues that they have addressed with punctuality, professionalism, and cost efficiency. Additionally, this past weekend my hot water heater exploded, and they came and replaced it same day. The next day it still was not heating water so they came out and fixed it at no charge. Mark is the person who came on both occasions and was very professional, friendly, and efficient. I wanted to make sure to put a review up because I rarely post reviews. However, anyone would be lucky to work with Holt Plumbing, and I will continue to use and recommend them to anyone in need.

Pressure reducing valve on water heater leak was found by other and repaired by Holts Plumbing. They made an appt for repair 3
/1 between 1-4pm. They didn't call or show. They finally arrived 3/4 at 6:30pm. No negotiating or explanation for no show and mentioned how I wouldn't be charged for after hours . Meanwhile $475 later... I'm disgusted how this company treated my 70 yr old mother n aunt. How do they stay in business.

Wish they had better communication. Called Wednesday to get a quote to connect to city water in Ashland City. They told me there was a distance fee and I agreed. They told me Wednesday that someone would be out Thursday or Friday in order to give the quote. I called Thursday to get an update and the woman who answered the phone couldn't find the record of the call or appointment. Then finally they found the appointment and said they would be out tomorrow. Called Friday to check in to see when it would be, and they said they had it on the books for sometime next week.

Just upset I wasted 3 days on apparent appointments when they could have quoted me next week in the first place so I could have found other plumbers who could have gotten me in quicker.

The best company ever!!! I recommend for any one to cell holt and see how wonderful that are.

Dale and D did a great job installing on my old house. I had them replace my drain lines and Plumb in a new bathroom for me to top out phase. Very professional and very proud plumbers leaving the place clean swept, and tidy (photos are during the process, not exactly after all was complete)

Plumber was great, but was given wrong pricing information on phone. They told me on the phone that it wouldn't be that much more expense for someone to come in middle of night than to wait in the morning, but I was charged for two hours, and he was here about 20 minutes. I was given the wrong information on the phone. I would have waited until morning if the correct information had been given.. I will try someone else next time.

Total cost from Hiller was $69 for 32 minutes, but included detection of water lines and identification of the problem.

Edit 2: I used Holt Plumbing for a diagnostic of where a water leak is coming from. They seemed quite knowledgeable, but the total charge for the diagnostic was $255 for 37 minutes of being on-site (8:22am-8:59am) with no labor. Total charge explanation was that it was 2 hours of total time if you include the drive time of the plumber and the helper that was brought for the diagnostic. In total, the perceived cost of Holt was $402.64/hr for diagnostic work alone is roughly 4x the rate of Hiller for the same task. The hourly perceived cost might lower if it were to be a longer visit with labor given that the drivetime is limited, but I really don't think I can justify $402.64/hr when competitors can do the same for 1/4 the price.

Edit: They responded, though this is going to go unresolved to the quality of the previously removed water heater.

I've used Holt Plumbing twice.The first time was a 5 star experience where they came out very quickly to fix an issue with a water softener (removal). They provided very useful advice and did a great job. The next issue was a replacement of the water heater. They did a good job, but did not complete the job as expected The original issue was that the tank had rusted and was leaking into the leak pan below it. For the reason, I was glad to have had a pan. When they replaced it, I left to get food. Though they said they'd replace it and keep the drain, they ended up just setting it on the ground with no pan under it due to the larger sizes of the new water heaters compared to 2005. It looks like the piping should have been able to make it work, but I suppose not. Its in the basement, so it likely won't be a big issue, but i've had flooding before where it flooded into the finished area of the basement due to the broken softener. I would have hoped that this would have been a more obvious concern.

I haven't received our bill yet, but everything else was great work. We had the Water dept. here 3x, another plumber & a roofer & none of them could fix anything. Your plumbers fixed everything.

We have used Holt Plumbing for many jobs at our rental properties and they are always prompt, professional and get the problems resolved.

This has been a miserable experience. They did a decent job replacing a hot water heater, but on 4 separate trips out to service a sewage pump in the basement they have completely failed to repair the issue. When I called them the first time I made a point of saying that I needed the sewage pump to be completely fixed, no matter what it took. They assured me they were experienced in fixing these types of pumps, but after 4 trips there is still sewage gas leaking out into the basement. I've spent $650 so far and now on the fourth trip they say that the lid to the tank is rotten and they want me to spend another $585 to repair that. I had Hiller Plumbing come out and look and the guy said there's nothing wrong with the lid at all.

The worst part about dealing with Holt Plumbing is that once you have an issue, they go completely into silent mode. No one will return your calls or emails. When I do talk to someone they then say things like well, we don't guarantee any work on those sewage pumps anyway. This is after the fact. They neglect to tell you that before they send you a bill for the previous work that didn't fix anything.

Response to the Response below: I asked to speak to the owner and I was assured he would call me back. He did not do so. He also did not email me. I got an email from someone named Sarah who just assumed that it would be ok for them to come out a fifth time for the low price of only $285 more dollars on top of the $650 I've already spent. So they want me to spend over $900 on this when they've already told me on the phone that they won't guarantee their work.

We had a repairman out on a Saturday. Didn’t know why our tankless water heater was malfunctioning. Was supposed to return on the following Wednesday with a specialist to address the issue. No one showed up. in took a day off of work for nothing. Cold water for five days because of a non-responsive company. Look elsewhere or perform your own repairs, I suppose.

Customer service was initially good. They came out and fixed my shower leak and charged close to $200 for it. That was fine, I was happy. However, my shower started leaking again and they came back out and said that they would need to repair something else and it could be close to $200 again and THAT STILL might now fix it. I can't afford to keep paying $200 for them to maybe fix my leak. I just wish they had been more up front the first time and told me that they may not have fixed it and it could still be something else. Just felt like i was getting taken advantage of.

I've used Holt in the past & they were very accommodating & reasonable; however this week was an entirely different story (I see now why their ratings have gone down). They charged me almost $200 for a visit, did NOT fix the problem (I did not know this until I ran the shower again) & wanted to charge me another fee to come back out & relook at the issue. Additionally, the manager laughed at me on the phone when I asked if he would want his family member to be treated this way (being charged an additional fee for an issue that was not initially fixed). Very unprofessional & they'll never get another dime from me.

He was very professional, kind, and talked me through everything he was having to do. He was in and out of my house in about an hour. It’s been a month since the repairs have been done and we have had no further issues. We were very pleased with Holt and will use them again for any plumbing needs in the future.

i have used holt plumbing on several occasions to work on some rental properties. they have always performed well. mark has always done a great job and i appreciate him. today the problem did not get fixed and when calling into the office for info, they make you feel as if you are bothering them. mark was supposed to call me but didn't( i am sure something came up) but Elaine at the office is rude and very un accommodating. i like there install guys but will not use them again because of the way i have been treated by the office staff today. i really did like working with holt but this is unacceptable. Elaine has been very unprofessional and i still don't know why my issue was not fixed. to late to call someone now, but will try another company tomorrow

Don't waster your time on this company - unless you have time to waste! They can't seem to make up their minds WHEN they are coming even though THEY schedule a time. For an afternoon appointment they call early in the morning and say they're on their way. For a morning appointment they call and say they've been delayed - then chance it to the afternoon and don't show. I had 3 appointments scheduled and NONE of them were completed at the time given. Poor poor customer service.

This company came to my brothers house 3 times because of a leak on the owners side and replaced the gasket...3 Times took 5 mins to replace it and left before checking the water. He then came back and brought a gasket back and said this looks like cardboard. Well...he is the one that replaced it the 1st time soooo... Still after 2 weeks he still has no water because the plumber said he had to order a metal part...a week ago. When my brother called after christmas the lady that answered the phone said in a very rude condesending voice yes we have the part but he's on a call I would think after a week or so my brother would have been first priority. We don't recommend them.

The first time plumber came out was positive experience, and I thought problem was solved, but it wasn't. Technician admitted on second visit that he failed to clean out pipe from dishwasher so water accumulated and leaked out of dishwasher when not in use. I got charged same amount again. I won't call Holt Plumbing again. I AM CHANGING MY REVIEW OF HOLT PLUMBING. THEY WERE RESPONSIVE AND REMOVED SECOND CHARGE. THANK YOU!

Honest, friendly service. We had a leaking outdoor hose faucet and needed to move a water heater. Holt Plumbing was the only company that gave us a fair price up front so we wouldn't have to guess how much it would cost. We checked with several contractor friends of ours and the pricing they gave us was very fair.

A few days before leaving for vacation our water heater started to leak. Dealing with this on top of preparing for vacation was extremely stressful. Holt Plumbing relieved all my stress. With one call I was assured the problem would be fixed within the time frame I needed. They followed through beautifully. The workers from the company were extremely considerate and professional. There have been no further issues with the water heater.While on vacation a neighbor called to say an outside facuet burst. We were in California and had no way to see what was happening. I contacted Holt again. They responded the same day. The plumber called and stated he stopped the leak but would not do any major repairs until I was in town and could make an informed decision. I cannot say how much I aprreciate their quick responses, good work and level of professionalism.

Mr. Kimani, the technician from Holt Plumbing, demonstrated a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve my non-draining sink problem. He was knowledgeable and professional and educated me on plumbing maintenance.

We have hired Holt for many of our locations over the past few years but will no longer be able to work with them after a very disappointing experience. I requested service for a backflow test which was never acknowledged or confirmed, so I hired someone else for the job. They then sent me an invoice over a month later for nearly double the price they charged us last year. I reached out to make sure this was accurate and express that they caused me a great inconvenience by handling things this way. No apology or discount was offered. Long term client relationships are not valued here.

Easy to schedule an appointment. They did a great job! Called Holt in as a second consult when my usual plumbing company said they couldn’t fix the issue. Mark was very nice, very knowledgeable and fixed our leak right up. We just bought a new house and the kitchen faucet developed a leak a couple of days after taking possession. We turned everything off underneath to look at later only to find two days later it was still leaking significantly! We put a pan underneath and used the service request form on Holt's website as it was late and we could wait a bit. We received an email pretty promptly with a variety of emergency and regular schedules so we could pick the best option for us from that night, any time this weekend or next week. We took the next day, and are very satisfied with the work and Mark.

Professional in up sales. Will always find a way to maximize their profits when called. The job is done properly most of the time. However they will look over a simple Fix to overly fix something on your dime. Always have someone onsite to supervise the job and to keep track of actual hours on a major job. Word of advise!

I’m very much a DIY person but when it came to relocating a gas line I decided to leave it to someone with more experience. Holt was recommended to me by a HVAC shop stating they know they have experienced with gas lines and they’re a local family owned business. Scheduling (and re-scheduling due to an issue with work) was easy and they had great communication on when the work was going to be done. They even worked with me on gettting me a pretty accurate quote on what it would cost. The techs that came out were professional, knowledgable, and very nice. I’ll definitely be reaching out to Holt in the future for any plumbing or gas line needs.

I had a great experience at Holt today. I needed to repair a bike pump handle and someone recommended that I go to Holt plumbing because they are a family run store with a wide assortment of odds and ends. I did and I was very impressed with the customer service. They spent time brainstorming with me and my wife to come up with a great solution. Had appointment scheduled after 2:00pm and the day of scheduled service was called by a woman asking if they could come early around 12:30. We told her that we could not meet at that time, as the appointment had been set for a week for 2:00 pm . She then called back and left a message at 1:45pm that if we did not call her back in a few minutes they would have to reschedule . Called her back at 1:56 pm staying we were at home waiting for their plumbing to show up and she informed me that they had taken us off the schedule . This woman was very starchy and not very accommodating at all and really just wanted me off the phone . Would not recommend their plumbing business . Need to hire different PR representative insteady of “starchy Martha”.

This was my first service call to Holt. I have purchased items in their store front and have always found them to be professional and helpful. So when I woke up yesterday morning to find a busted water heater in my garage they were my first thought. I called Holt around 10:50 am to schedule a service call/new water heater installation. I explained to the dispatch lady the situation. She told me that they were making appointment for the next day. This was fine with me in that it was not a huge emergency, although there was water still leaking out of the tank. I called this morning to check on the status of the service call. I was told that they were working the call before mine. I called again around 11 am and was told the same thing. At 3 pm I called a third time to ask the status and was told that there was still one more call before mine. I was then told it would be sometime after 4 pm. I knew that was approaching after hours time so I asked if the truck would come stocked with water heaters. I was told that the service call was not for a tank replacement. This means that IF the service rep showed up they would not be able to fix my issue. Sadly, at 5 pm (around 32 hours after my first call) I called and cancelled my appointment. I was able to contact another company and they will be here in about 30 minutes. I will still use Holt's store to purchase plumbing needs, but I can't vouch for their service department.

Holt missed the first appointment, came 2 hours late for the rescheduled appointment and never sent the promised next day estimate.

Holt installed my gas stove. They were on time and charged a reasonable price. I think I found my new plumbing company for future use. It will be Holt Plumbing. I am very happy with the work they did.

They returned my call even after hours to check if it was an emergency. It was not an emergency but they still scheduled a service call for the following day. The service person, Billy, showed up on time. Billy was professional, reviewed the problem and the possible solutions, and then completed the work quickly and cleanly. When he was done he reviewed the job and told me if anything acts up to give them a call and ask for him by name.

Got up this morning and discovered water heater was leaking in the garage. I called Holt, they ask for the make and model of the heater, then gave me a price over the phone. Agreed on same day installation. Job done quickly and at a resonable price. Would use this company again and recommend to a friend.

I hired Holt plumbing after a glowing recommendation from a contractor. I was disappointed. They told me it would cost $75 and hour, but turned up with 2 guys day of and said that it would cost $120 an hour now. They came back the second day with a different helper who redid the bathroom faucets that the guy did wrong the first day and they charged me for the work again. I called them to come back a 3rd time because the kitchen sink was still leaking and the bathroom new faucets were still broken, They charged me for that service call and did not fix them. I called for them to come out a 4th time to fix the new gas logs and the new bathroom faucet they installed that was still not working. They finally got the gas logs started, but my new bathroom faucet was broken by the plumber and is not fixed. I was also charged for 11 hours of work when he was only in my house 7 hours. They told me to take it up with the plumber. The company did finally give me a $350 discount off the $1400 bill, but I would not recommend them. Plus, my new bathroom faucet is still broken. Wish I had gone with someone else.

Found water heater leak late Friday night and called on Saturday morning. Randy worked hard and completed the job without complaint. Great service and will continue to use Holt Plumbing!

Holt was able to send someone the same day that we called. The service technician, Milton, was knowledgeable and professional. He was able to identify the source of the leak and fix it promptly. We started using Holt Plumbing when they were able to fix a plumbing issue for us that other companies couldn't. We have been more than satisfied with all the work they have done for us.

I called Holt Plumbing and they arrived at our hotel, cleaned out the obstructions clogging up one of our pipes, was a very fair price for work done, and best thing is they are experts at all plumbing aspects, I did not have to worry that the maintenance work request would not get completed correctly. No one showed up for service on Wed that was scheduled a week ago, when I called them they said that plumber could not come !!! And if I want him to show up next day I should pay extra even though is not fault !!! then they scheduled it for Fri , But still no one showed up again! When I called again they told me that whoever scheduled me done a mistake and done it for Tuesday of the week after ,Then the line cut and they never called back . Horrible experience !! Fantastic all around! I was tinkering with my sink. Broke my faucet. They came the same day I bought my faucet. The tech was wonderful. He wore a mask and gloves. Explained what he was going to do and was done very quickly. When he was finished he cleaned and wiped down everything he came in contact with. The price was also very reasonable. I would highly recommend this company.

I have used Holt Plumbing for all plumbing needs in the 15+ years we have lived in our currrent house. Recently, we had a leak with our water softener and several other small plumbing needs. Brad came out and did a great job. He was very quick and knowledgeable on all the issues I had and was able to repair everything. He even called back the next day (on a Saturday) to confirm the leak had stopped. I would highly recommend Holt Plumbing - and especially Brad - for any plumbing needs.

Do not hire them and don't let you association higher than two. They say one thing and without leaving any invoice they will leave and make up an invoice for themselves and then send it to you and you have no choice but paying them. DO NOT, DO NOT trust them.

I can not say enough good things about Holt Plumbing. We have used them many times in the past. On Monday they had a huge job to do for us and we are very pleased. We live in a 38 year old house which had 38 year old pipes that would burst from time to time resultingin our basementbeing flooded. Holtvwoukd always come repair them in a timely manner. The time had come for us to do something about this.. We contracted Holt Plumbing to replace all the pipes in our home. We have a big house. They came at 10 a.m. Monday morning and worked tirelessly until 5 a.m. Tuesday. The leader of the work crew was the BEST. We are very happy and highly recommend Holt Plumbing

We discovered we had a main line clog, backed up showers and toilets, at 3am. I called at 4:45am (after failing to fix it myself). While they weren't able to come out at that early , (the receptionist explained they got slammed during the night), the guy managed to make it by 10. Our plumber was friendly and informative. He finished in a timely manner, and the price was fair. I still give this company 5 stars, because I understand other people have middle of the night plumbing problems and the universe doesn't revolve around me.

Well what a long story. Initially I was happy with this company. Then I had them come to my home for a sink installation and they wanted me to drill the holes? So I did... I overlooked this. Then I had them come to install a garbage disposal and thought everything performed correctly. I was happy with this service or so I thought.. Then I had them come to repair a toilet which they fixed and left wobbly (ended up having to come back for the wobble). Then out of know where, 1 year later after paying top dollar for the garbage disposal, come to find out, it had a leak due to incorrect installation. As everyone has, I have soaps under the sink therefore I wasnt able to see this until cleaning it out. I called The manager of this company, as I was told to from their technician (who charged me $300 for 10 min roughly) and the manager told me too bad, so sad we escaped responsibility since it's been a year we can't help you. So I have to pay for brand new cabinetry now. All in all if you want to end up feeling like you should've completed the work yourself, feeling the work wasn't completed correctly, and have to fix your house and replace their top of the line products one year later then use this company. Very disappointing for me. I suppose this company forgot they are here to serve their clients professionally. *Updated* no one worked on my disposal and it wasn't bumped out of rotation by a soap bottle. Bottom line is, your claimed top of the line products don't work for 2 years at least.

There is not much (if anything) that Holt Plumbing cannot handle. Our company often needs plumbing emergencies addressed at communities, and Holt is the first company we go to. Today we had a main sewer line back up at a condominium complex, and Chris Earls along with Darius and Mark J were extremely helpful and were able to get the issues addressed (on a Saturday) within a matter of hours (which prevented a potentially catastrophic situation). Chris Earls provided constant updates throughout this situation and was very helpful in explaining the issues along with what he was doing to address them. Chris along with other Holt Plumbing employees have been extremely helpful and reliable, and we appreciate their great customer service.
