I ended talking to the Top Leaf sales-person by phone. I assumed he would come to my house and we could talk in person about my project. He told me he drove by and looked over the wall. There are a total of 7 trees in my back yard that needed removal and there was a immediate problem in trying to identify the trees I wanted removed over the phone which could have been avoided if he had came to my house and I could easily pointed out the trees I wanted removed. We settled on removing 2 trees and his estimate was $2500. The fact he didn't come to my house to discuss the project in person was a big negative in my mind and the estimate he gave me was way too high and that ended the conversation. I didn't hire Top Tree for those 2 issues. Average tree removal in this area is $800. 2 trees $1600. And there may have been other work I was considering if they had shown a little more enthusiasm. I hire a different company that showed up at my house within an hour and spent about an hour going over in detail different aspects of the job. They would do 4 trees for $1500. I decided then to do all 7 trees for a total of $2600, the estimate that Top Tree wanted for 2 trees. In addition, for no cost, he offered to rake and remove 2 years of leaves along 40 yards of gravel driveway. I then had another tree in front trimmed for a total bill of $2750.

Great family business! Very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. They go above and beyond by completing the job we had scheduled, but also removing and trimming additional trees and plants I requested the day of our scheduled appointment. They also did a great job cleaning up and hauling away the debris. I will highly recommend them and will continue to use them for all my future tree and yard maintenance needs.

We have not had a good experience. After a referral, we scheduled an appointment with a $90 consulting fee. That's the only part they did as promised. We had to call the company to request the results of the survey because it was never done and emailed to us. Then we asked if a dead tree could be removed roots and all instead of just to the stump. Still waiting for an answer. The first email wasn't sent from the office lady to their tech, it was only sent to my husband. Once he told her the mistake, she re-sent to include the tech, but it's a week later and we still have no response. Done dealing with their poor customer service. Have scheduled with another company that can accommodate the same-day service. Hope you don't waste your time or money on a consulting fee with this company.

My wife and I have a couple of Jacaranda trees in our front yard. One of which is struggling. Todd took the time to look at some pictures and provide some suggestions! Since we live quite a distance out of town this saved us a trip charge and really helped us out! We would not hesitate to call on them for any landscape or tree needs we might have!

Recommendation couldn't be higher for heartwood. My parents has a ficus tip over one night during a monsoon storm. It was right up by a wall in a tricky location. The guys came out the next day and developed a plan right away.

The owner himself came out to assess and make sure they were on the same page with the owner and that they approved of the job.

It is clear that everyone we worked with is extremely passionate about their job! The crew shared ideas and advice dynamically while listening to the homeowners' requests and working with them. Their certifications as arborists prove that they are bound and dedicated to proper care and professionalism.

I highly recommend this business. The office staff was professional and communicated very well. The crew that came out took a huge olive tree down and ground the stump. They cleaned up and couldn’t even tell the tree was there. It only took them an hour. I wish I knew about them 2 years ago when we moved in. A friend recommended this business and I’m so glad we went with them. Also their quote was hundreds less than other tree removal quotes. You can’t beat that!! We had 2 olive trees and now only have one, you can’t even tell where it used to be.

ABC Scapes is contracted by our HOA for landscaping services. I have bushes totally blocking my 1st floor windows that haven’t been trimmed in months. ABC employee shows up with a hand pruner to trim a 8 X 10 bush. I sent them photos of the bush so they should have known what equipment to bring.

Employee leaves and never comes back. I have left 4 messages and can not get a return call. Terrible customer service. I wish our condos would use another landscaper.
