Poolman Cleaning Service
I started using Poolman about a year ago. I decided to go with chemical only service and take care of the rest myself. For last summer and the winter, this worked quite well and the pool stayed nice and clear and fresh. This summer once temperatures started heating up, they've been having trouble keeping up with the algae, even with me brushing the pool every day and sometimes shocking it myself with my own chemicals. But the algae keeps coming back and it doesn't seem that the service can properly maintain the pool. The visits also were rarely consistent from the tech, and sometimes they would even come a day late, which meant they would often be here on a Saturday servicing the pool when we are trying to use it.

I did inquire about switching to full service, but it seems the price has increased quite substantially since I discussed it with the company a year ago; I believe full service was $94 then and has now increased to $125 monthly. And while I understand that costs of chlorine have increased, I've spoken to competitors and they can perform the same service level for about $20 less per month. I've also been told that I can no longer drop to the lower service level for the winter as they no longer offer this service. At this point I will likely be cancelling and seeking out an alternative company to service our pool.
