I attempted to share my overall disappointment with my experience with a manager of Elite, but, as per their M.O., no communication or call. I originally called Elite for a repair to one of my two garage doors, and made an appointment for 8am the following morning. I was right in the middle of having my home repainted. When 9am came & went, and no repairman in sight, I called Elite and they informed me I was given a “window” of 8 - 10:00am. About 10:30 their rep showed up, told me they couldn’t match the door, so to have two matching doors, I ordered two new doors, was quoted a price, given a time frame of two to three weeks, and told the color we chose would match the color we were painting our home. So far, so good. Three weeks passed without any word from Elite, so I called them and was told they would call the manufacturer and get a delivery date, then call me back. They never called me back. I called them again the following day, was told the same thing, that they would call the manufacturer for a shipping date, only this time I was put on hold. They came back on the line and told me it should arrive at Elite the following Tuesday or Wednesday. This was Fourth of July week. By Thursday of that week, I hadn’t heard anything from Elite, so I called them again. I was told my doors were in, and given an installation appointment for July 9th at 9am. July 9th arrives and 9am comes and goes. At 10:05, I called Elite and was informed only half of my single door arrived. They asked if I wanted them to install the double door and have them come back to install the single door when the rest of it arrived. I said no, I didn’t want mismatched doors, and it was the single door that was broken, so I would wait for the rest of the door to be shipped, and have everything installed at the same time, which finally happened on Tuesday July 14th. The color, which was to be the same color as we had just painted our home, wasn’t even close. I spoke to my painter, and he recommended NOT painting the doors until they had aged a year or two. My complaint is this: Elite made an agreement with me, required 50% deposit UP FRONT, which I gave them, then dropped me off their radar. I had to initiate EVERY contact with them. Only God knows when/if my doors would EVER have arrived had I not stayed on them. I am completely dissatisfied with Elite and their total lack of customer care, poor communications, and professionalism.Dennis P Myers
