They were really professional. I purchased a home in portage park and it was really outdated. They came out and did a phenomenal job for all the electric work. Our fire and carbon monoxide alarm began “chirping” to notify us it had reached its ten year life expectancy. I replaced with a new one, but could not get it working correctly. In addition, my amateur installation tripped a breaker and we were without electricity in part of our home. Sims & Sons came on a Sunday within hours of our call and installed alarm and fixed the breaker. Fast, courteous and reasonably priced. We would highly recommend.

T&D's work, communication and professionalism totally holds up to the many high reviews they've gotten here and on Yelp. It's why I chose them in the first place, and I wasn't disappointed. They assembled and installed a chandelier into our living room. I was previously told that space had 'old mounts' and it would be difficult to install anything, but these guys (Rodrigo and Keith) handled it easily. They were courteous, respectful, efficient and polite. Really went over the top in terms of service. Very pleased. The office communication was also incredibly thorough and timely. We will absolutely use them in the future for more electrical work.

Pricing for installation of ceiling mounted fixtures is related to size (diameter). It was incredibly high, $350 just for one. The two others were various, but high, prices as well.The electrician was friendly and professional. Of course I agreed to pay but if you are looking at a more economical choice look elsewhere as the cost is steep for basic install work. Should of had more patience with the instruction manuals.
