Best General Maintenance in Chicago IL

When you buy a new house, there's nothing better than finding your guys. (Or gals. No sexism here.) Now we've got our electrical guy! Kent's the best. He's super fast to respond to texts and calls. And he's really efficient in diagnosing issues. He installed a complicated chandelier for us, then figured out why we seemingly had no power running to our smoke & carbon monoxide detectors. He's a Nest installer, too, which is harder to find than you'd think. We've had several contractors in who obviously didn't know a thing about it. After everything Kent did for us, he charged us a ridiculously reasonable amount and was on his way. I'll absolutely use him for all electrical everything in the future. Just keep in mind, he may not be able to get to you right away, but he will get to you, and it'll be well worth it. Pro tip: Make the guy some coffee. He likes coffee.

Tony explained what the electrical issues and what he needed to do to fix them. He also pointed out some issues I may have if I decided to sell my home. He didn’t push to fix them just pointed them out. The price was reasonable and I was very happy with the work done.

I cannot say enough great things about John P. who came out to assess our needs and give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I would say the same for Eric V. who came to install our light fixtures and add a few outlets: AWESOME work and fantastic to work with! He went over the estimate to confirm what we needed, offered thoughtful solutions, and checked in throughout the job. I had a very good experience with Montoya Electric. They made time in their schedule to meet my needs of getting the work finished before I moved into a new home. They did a quick and efficient relocation of existing outlets and switches for a new floor plan, but also installed new outlets and serviced my obsolete electrical panel. They were cost effective and on time. Will use them again !

Handico cut/installed trim for 8 custom window, 2 door trims and baseboards for me in June 2022. Tom did a fantastic job and is very pleasant to work with as he truly loves what he does for a living! The owner, Joe, is a man of great integrity and fully stands behind their work, which is very reassuring to me because it says alot about him as a business owner. I also previously hired them to install quarter-round moulding in my home and Tom did an excellent job with that, also. They are definitely on my go-to list for home improvements/repairs

He completes everything as expected, and regularly makes corrections to any existing issues found during the process. My home is old so I cannot trust just anyone with my electrical projects. Very unprofessional service. We were having problems with the electricity in our building, and they came to inspect the panels. Ended up charging more than double the price they had quoted for the initial diagnostics, and the quick fix they did didn't address the issue at all.
