He and his crew were at my house for 4-5 days and we developed a good level of trust.

Given how hot it is up on the roof during the day that is really impressive. He also proactively had his entire crew COVID tested when someone at their company came in close contact with someone who had tested positive. They are responsible and organized and take the risks of COVID seriously.

Being a bit of a D.I.Y enthusiast, I decided to try and carry out the work myself. Awful idea, and I ended up getting an unmerciful electrical shock for my troubles. Reluctantly, I decided it might be time to get a proper electrician. (Well my wife decided really.)

When he was finished he explained why the mice chew on wires (they use the PVC to sharpen their teeth) and what we can do to prevent future incidents (ultrasonic units).

With my new-found electrical knowledge, maybe I’ll be more successful with my future endeavors (unlikely though, knowing my wife). But if not, at least I have a new genuinely trustworthy electrician.
