Five stars is for great service. But sometimes things don't go as planned. When that happens, a business faces a real test. Do they make things right generously and quickly? Or does it devolve into finger-pointing?
Coil approved an idea of mine that looked better on paper than when a licensed electrician looked at it (and they were right). But this meant locating a charger in a different place. Then they could not produce the charger I ordered. Then I realized that smart-chargers are not that valuable -- they increase charging from 30 MPH to 36 MPH, which is meaningless for most owners.
So several things changed at once. I was not thrilled with the first try, so they sent the team back and got it right. Jaime and Sal are smart and quick and easy to work with. Bobby and Paul made things right. I am delighted with the result and would happily recommend Coil to anyone else putting in a car charger.

John was absolutely wonderful. He's charismatic, kind & patient, not to mention a great storyteller! I immediately felt at ease in his presence, & he kept me involved & laughing throughout the visit.
While booking the appointment, he requested a brief description of the issues needing to be fixed with corresponding photos so that he could not only prepare for the visit, but also in an attempt to save the both of us time & me money. He first provided detailed instructions so I could try & resolve the issue on my own. When that didn't work, he accommodated my schedule so service could still be provided the same day.
John sent texts notifying me prior to his arrival, including a photo of himself so I knew who to expect. He walked me through the different steps he took/tests he performed & explained his thought process along the way in layman's terms. He answered all of my questions, even offering me bits of helpful advice for other concerns not in his bailiwick. He was transparent about all associated costs & asked me what I wanted to do before proceeding.
While he calculated the costs in his car, I received a text documenting the end of the visit & a link for rating/feedback. He also took the time to sit beside me to review the invoice prior to departing. John will be the first person I contact should any other electrical issues arise.

I didn't end up using REF, because Hector was such a straight-shooter that he suggested my handyman should likely have a look at the issue first to see if my electrical issue was a simple solve (and thereby save myself some money). This was after he patiently talked me through the problem on the phone and suggested some trouble-shooting. I noted REF has expertise with old SF buildings like mine, so figured I would call them back if it was a more complex issue - but thankfully, just as Hector suspected, it was not. Will certainly keep them in mind for bigger electrical jobs in the future. Thanks Hector!
