oo, I have to update this review. I have been using these guys for years to do small services on my rental condo. Everything has always been great. But I just hired them for a larger job on my single family home. I am very displeased. I don't know where to start but I will try:
What I had done was have a second service panel installed in my garage because my husband wanted a man cave to do his artwork.
1. They ran a large cable from the roof top of my house to the roof top of the garage. This cable hangs quite low, and goes underneath a large banana plant that regularly has falling branches in wind storms. I have a colony of possums and raccoons that swing from anything they can find. this cable being so low hanging, just seemed so vulnerable. The cable also runs just 2 feet above the top of a freestanding vinyl pergola I have. And It just looked like they could almost touch.
I kept hammering to the sales rep with repeated phone calls and text that I wasn't ok with this. . His workers just kept doing the work even though I asked them to stop until we cleared this up with. The representative insisted this was the only way it could be done. And that it would all be fine. That the banana tree wasn't an issue, and that the vinyl pergola wasn't an issue.
When the city inspector came The work they did, all passed with just a couple of corrections. But that said, both city inspectors that came said this to me in private. I'm going to pass this, but this was not a good way to do it. The inspector commented being I have a freestanding pergola underneath the cable, that is ok because it's a movable structure. But if I should ever decide to build a permanent wood pergola, I will not be able to because the cable is too low and not enough clearance. Also, the inspector commented that my main circuit panel at the house now needed to be upgraded to support the second panel in the garage. But the way they crammed in all the tubing and conduits will not allow room for a larger panel. I spoke to the sales rep about all this stuff and I asked him since he was there, why didn't he advise me from the beginning that I needed to upgrade my main panel before even considering a second one for garage. I brought up that the low hanging cable is restricting to any garden pergola additions, And he simply responded that they are only hired to do the worked that is asked of them, but not project any future work the client needs and that it was my responsibility to tell him I probably needed a larger main circuit panel....I am a homeowner, not an electrician. How the hell am I supposed to know that my main panel is week. It's the responsibility of the electrician to point this stuff out. It's like having a person put tile on your floor but neglect to tell you your subfloor is rotting, and putting new tile is just a waste of money. they just don't care! Homeowners don't ask because they don't know! He was already there, why didn't he give me other options.
The most insulting this was that when I continued to stress that I really didn't like the overhead low hanging cable, he finally in an exasperated voice said Lady, I know the overhead cable isn't the best way, the right way to have done this was to go a couple of feet deep with an underground electrical conduits. , That is what I should have done? So I ask then why didn't you proposes we do that? He never proposed to run conduits underground, this is the first time I hear of this. . Yes maybe I wuld have been more work, and I would had to wait a little bit to get my bearings before committing to having my concrete patio cut up. Yes it will have probably cost me twice as much. But I would have been a penny wise pound foolish situation because now we actually have to retrofit the work they did to make room for a new main house breaker and who knows, maybe even go underground.
What really upset me is there was no personal attention. the rep comes in, gives you a quick estimate, and the next day an army of guys comes in and starts the work.

I called PowerPlus because half the power in my house was out and I couldn’t figure out why. I am a fairly handy person but it was clearly above my capabilities. The technician came out exactly when he said he would, introduced himself, troubleshooted the issue and had it all fixed in under 2 hours. I am amazed at the level of knowledge and the quality of work that was performed. I felt so confident in his work, I had him check out the rest of the house and give me an estimate on updating my electrical panel (very old panel) which he did at no additional costs. Definitely will refer to all friends and family!

We called power plus to get an estimate on a rewiring project using the latest cables for hardwired Internet connection. A electrician by the name of Andre arrived check the building out and spoke to us about requirements. We got the estimate and it was very reasonable compared the other company we called. We hired them the next week and they promptly come down and did exactly what needed and delivered on time. We highly recommend you. Thank you.
