These guys are excellent, communicative, and very friendly! My property’s management company uses them for most household repairs. When the father came the 1st time to repair my bathroom window, I was having issues with others windows that were painted shut. He stopped and helped me pry the windows open which he didn’t have to do. The 2nd visit was for plumbing issues. The son (JP) kept in contact to advise of their ETA, researched the issue, and explained to me all that was done. A great team and highly recommended!

This is a novel of a review, but the TL;DR version is...use Jayk’s!! They offer professional, quick, affordable and quality work!!!

A month ago, our toilet was leaking water from the base. I called a company that could come within the hour, let’s call them RR, and they sent a tech out. He was speedy, but all he did was replace the wax ring and reset the toilet.

Yesterday, the same issue occurred and I called RR, but they refused to honor the warranty on the work, which the technician assured me that we had before he left.

Later that evening, all hell broke broke loose after washing a load of clothes—sewage came spewing up from out shower, the second toilet in the house started leaking from the base, flooding the bathroom and a pipe under the house began leaking water.

I was desperate for a reliable and experienced plumber, and my father in law recommended Jayk’s, which he had heard about from a friend. I’m so thankful the recommendation!! Our appointment was today at 12, but luckily, he was able to get here sooner. After explaining the issue, he asked follow up questions to help diagnose the issue and began working on unclogging our main sewer drain. I was able to leave him to his work while I did other things around the house. He finished in about an hour or so and ran the washer and sinks to be sure everything was running clearly.

Unfortunately, RR did a botch job in reassembling our toilet, so he had to take a break and go purchase extra parts to fix it!! He was amazed at how poorly the job was done, as was I, since it was not a cheap fix.

Our plumbing is working beautifully now, there are no leaks, no sewer backups, the toilet is fixed properly and he left the bathroom clean. I’m so happy and recommend Jayk’s 100%.

Jeremy saw us trying to load plywood into my daughter's truck at Home Depot in Durham today. He told us to stop and he loaded it all for us! If I have a project at my house, I'm calling Honey Do List Contractors!

David Guin was extremely nice and helpful. Plumbers are expensive so I am glad he made it a pleasant experience. Thanks David, I will call you again.

Frank is extremely professional, responsive and dedicated to his work. We had a problem with our door which he fixed. A separate issue related to it came up and he came back and fixed without charging. A big plus is Frank is Durham based.

We had the worst experience for a really basic job. The cost was exorbitant and the professionalism lacking. The technician returned a week later because a leak developed on the faucet where there had been none previously, and he started off defensive and things declined from there. When we asked the technician for his manager's information, he said he didn't know. Obviously we will never be using Roto- Rooter again and I regret ever having done so. Do yourself a favor, call somebody else.Update 12/04/18 - Our complaints were at least listened to and taken seriously enough to be refunded for some of the work that was done, so our experience at the corporate and managerial level of Roto-Rooter was an improvement. Another plumber replaced the leaking valves and did the work correctly the first time and for a lot less than we were quoted by Jean at Roto-Rooter. He also didn't have to cut into our wall as Jean had said he would have to.I can't improve the rating from a 1-star as our experience with Jean was simply that terrible, but to their credit Roto-Rooter did respond and listen to us.

Excellent work, but expensive.
