there is minor leak in the bathroom sink due to sink lever plug wear-out.the toilet is not flushing well due to partial clogging and it needs to be cleaned use an auger. we need to replace an old-style toilet fill value kit with a new one. Today, 2 guys from all american plumbing came in and did a cost estimation. To clean the partially-clogged toilet pipe, he quoted $150 and additional $100 if the toilet need be moved. to replace the sink lever plug, he quoted $125. To replace the fill valve, he quoted $100. I was telling Sean, don't treat your customer like an ignorant,the quotes you give are ridiculously high and all american plumbing is ripping its customers off. I asked them to leave and did not use their service. I went to the home depot, and spent $7 to buy a new sink lever plug and come back to replace the wear-out one in 5 minutes, it saves me $118. I'll ask some other contractor to clean the toilet or buy a tool from home depot (about $40) to clean it myself. the tank fill valve is about $20 for a good brand, the replacement should be done in half hour for a profession guy, I don't know why I need to play $100.I'm so glad I did not use the service from all american plumbing which looks like pirates ripping people off. I had very bad experience. not sure why it deserve a 5-star review... highly recommend not to use this company for any service.
