Got a Groupon offer for $37 for $100 of services to use with Diamond House Plumbing. My toilet flapper was leaking water and the flushmaster arm seemed to have a hard time filling up the toilet. I didn’t know how to buy the parts so I thought I’d use this Groupon which was the perfect option. I called Diamond House set up an appointment, which went well, they were on time, and did the inspection on various things in our house, that took 15 minutes. Then they went out to their truck to make the estimate which took 30 minutes. At this point we called the company to ask what they were doing that was taking so long. So they came back in and told us that we had 2 Options:
1. Approximately $600 to replace the whole toilet.
2. Approximately $500 for parts and labor.
Which we could not afford either one of those offers so we declined.
That very next weekend it just so happened that my brother in law was in town. He looked at the toilet and saw that the flapper was warped and the flushmaster needed to be replaced. So he went to Home Depot picked up the parts that was less than $20 and took him 15 minutes to fix. My brother in law is not a plumber he is a cable man haha but as you can see this company will rip you off.
