I contacted Nevada Heating for a repair to the air flow in one bedroom of a very small house. All of the other rooms were getting air just fine. The tech showed up to the home where my 22 & 24 year-old daughters live. He was there for 5 minutes.....He looked at the air conditioner outside the house to determine that it was in working order, and he looked at the air filter inside the house and determined that it needed to be replaced, as it was dirty. He then informed my daughters that all the air ducts in the entire home needed to be replaced for the amount of $8,000.00!! He DID NOT even look in the crawl space, so I have no idea how he made that determination or estimated that price!! He gave my daughters information about financing the repair, charged them $99.00 for his visit and left. He did nothing to even address the reason that only one room in the house was not getting air, and did nothing to rectify the problem!!!Thinking that this was absurd, my husband went under the house to see what was going on. He reattached the air duct to the one room in the house, as it had fallen off......It took him about 20 minutes (and he ain't no HVAC expert!!).I have contacted the company several times to request my $99.00 back, and they refuse to return my call. I spoke to the office girl, Seanelle, who told me that they looked under the house and have pictures (which is a lie, as both my daughters were there when the technician was there), and they will not return our money. I requested that she e-mail me pictures, and none of them appear to be from under our house. She sent a picture of the air conditioner and the vent. I do not see one picture of the air duct that had fallen off!THIS COMPANY IS CLEARLY A SCAM OPERATION......THEY CAN GO AROUND ALL DAY AND COLLECT $99.00 FROM UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS, AND THEN CHARGE THEM $8,000 FOR NEW DUCTS!!! As I said.....My husband fixed it in 20 minutes and a few screws!!! SHAMEFUL!!!! BE AWARE OF THIS SHAM BUSINESS!!!
