Best Rooter in New York NY

Too Expensive!! My bathroom tub was clogged, so i called Roto Rooter 9/11/2016. 5 Stars for being open on Sunday and being able to send a plumber within 4 hours of placing the call. I was unable so soon so I scheduled an appointment for monday morning between 8 am -12. Roto Rooter schedules in 4 hour blocks and the plumber showed at 11am (5 stars). The tub drain needed to be snaked and the minimum charge was $525 per drain. My bathroom sink was also draining a little slow. Plumber said he could also do the sink for 1/2 off for the second drain. After some haggling over the price we agreed on $650 for the work on both drains. I agreed because I'm out of town, my wife just gave birth Friday and didn't want to spend all day thinking about it. After 30 minutes the plumber was done, then surprised me with $650 plus Tax (0 Stars).I was glad to get the job done but should have called around. After the fact I contacted some companies who can snake drains for $150 to $199 for the first drain. 5 Star review if the price was reasonable.

Paid $900 to have my sink pipe leak fixed. Nice guy, but felt this was overpriced for about 90 minutes of work. He wasn’t able to fix my other issues, but still charged me for trying. I’ll try another plumber next time I need work done.
